I'm running on 3 hrs of sleep bc i stayed up till 5am to make this and then i had a neurologist appt at 8 so!!! (i got officially diagnosed with adhd or add we win, i already forgot which one he said but i get my meds tmrw!!) I might take a nap after this im so exhausted. ANYWAYS.!!! i love. flowey and clover friendship no one start yelling at me abt how flowey didnt care!!! theyre best friends to me!!!! and it works out as im a clover kinnie nd floweys been my comfort character for years now. we win. I don't think monsters really had binders at first (dont use bandages btw guys, dont be like Starlo was!!11) I think the first time one fell into the trash dump or wtvr someone picked it up and then once figuring out its uses just!! boom!! business!! figuring out how to safely make more and!!! finding ways to accommodate certain monsters with different body types!! esp with the spikes and such. Ceroba def helped Starlo out with his bandages often before they were able to get him a binder. the one where clovers drawing is !! an idea of revived!clover or clover staying in the underground in hiding. Martlet got him that shirt :)) and obv the bell earring is from Ceroba. sorry to all my cotl followers i STILL have no colored the 5 body refs of both narinder and lambert. I picked the colors here on a whim so uhmmm it's not official!!! not yet anyways!! i do like what i used for Narinders fur tho, so that might stay idk yet i hte coloring BNJKNKSD i colored this whole thing on a wild impulse.. thus staying up all night. I think clover would really enjoy waterfall if they were ever able to visit it after or during the whole soul thing. It's peaceful and beautiful and also one of my fav areas in base game sooo :) i missed my LN kids. I reread Raccoons on ao3 and remembered how much i loved them and their silly lil dynamic. im a #1 six defender btw i WILL throw hands if u say some wrong shit abt her. mono, less so bc i think a lot of people have a good grasp on his character now but six is ALWAYS villainized. Has been for years nd it ticks me off bc?? she was right for her actions kinda?? not really?? ofc both characters made bad choices that lead to it but dont disregard her feelings either? idk its a whole thing i cant get into on THIS post. a lot of the doodles are just random moments like Six in the Maw with their bigass keys and locks, maybe its one of the ones to the kitchen and thats why she's rushing :D? Mono isnt really. he wasnt meant to be in the end game room but i wanted funky lighting so do with that as u will. My Entry for the Karmor Mini Contest!

Hello everyone! Mono here! This is my Karmor, Vin! Here’s some details and my little rant below the cut—oh and I’ll be posting his backstory sometime later in the week so watch out for that!

Since I was asked for a little bit of lore, you, my dear friends, are getting a RANT TIME ™

Okay so to start, here’s a little intro:

Name: Vince “Vin” Ennio Amato 

Age: 27-28(somewhere I haven’t decided he just looks much older, might be the trauma)

Pronouns: He/Him

Sexuality: Gay🏳️‍🌈💅

Nationality: British 🇬🇧 and Italian 🇮🇹

Height: 5,10-5,11

Hair: It’s mostly brown but has one main streak of white and several duller or grey ish streaks due to his own powers + stress + crow 

Eyes: Sea green, like his mother and sister. 

Music Taste: He likes shit from Conan Grey, Madelline, Alec Benjamin (sad boy at 3 am eat your heart out fr + punk rock (think Hobie brown)

He’s a pretty quiet guy (obvi), but he’s mostly observant. He does however, have a temper that has a short fuse. He doesn’t like getting angsty, hates it, actually, but he somehow always seems to be—

He also has minor tics/Tourette’s because I have tics and mine are pretty much a lot so I’m projecting totally not—*gets dragged away*

He has eyebags that last an infinite amount of time because he never fucking sleeps you cannot catch him lacking—

He’s has scars on his hands from some lore that I’m choosing not to reveal yet because I’m so nice 😊 

Power explanation time LESSGO:

<- They look a little green in the photo but the scars are cyan.

So he has litchenberg scars, otherwise known as lightning scars. But he wasn’t struck by lightning, or maybe he was, I haven’t decided yet and bro’s memory is in the shits anyway—

But when he’s normal, not using his powers, they’re an odd gold-brown color on his skin, lightening more and more yhe less and less he uses his powers.

When he uses his powers they glow a cyan, kind-of like the hextech from arcane. His powers are unstable as holy hells, LIKE THE ARCANE (can you tell I recently got into Arcane?) and hurt him, in a sense? Let’s just say after he uses his powers, the scars will ache like hell for D A Y S. And there’s no way to fix it either, pain meds don’t work on him either :)

Essentially his powers are electricity based, AS ELECTRICITY POWERS ARE OP AS HELL AND I WILL STAND BY THAT.

So he basically surges electrical currents through his body, but they’re magic so. Anyways, his eyes, which are usually sea green, will glow a cyan color. 

Usually when he uses his powers, you’ll hear the sound of thunder and then the sound of a lightning strike. Then everything goes white and he hears ringing. Sometimes he’ll pass out, but most times he’ll be awake. His powers drain his energy severely though, so despite how tired and sleep-deprived he already is, it gets worse. (RIP Vin’s sleep schedule that he’s literally never had lmao).

After he uses his powers, he’ll be like freezing cold for a while (because that’s an aftereffect of being struck by lightning) and sore as all hell. He also will have more trouble sleeping as using his powers makes his nightmares worse + crow likes to torture him.

Final extra detail, the jacket he wears? Yeah, that one? That was his father’s. :)

Y/N Stark practically skipped through the door, her energy filling the space as she rushed into the workshop. Tony was hunched over a project, his tools scattered around him, but the second he heard her footsteps, he looked up with a grin, glad to see his daughter in one piece.

“Hey, kid. How was school today?” Tony asked, his voice light but tinged with that typical dad curiosity. He loved hearing about Y/N’s day.

Y/N bounced into the room, practically vibrating with excitement. “Dad! I did it!” she exclaimed, her eyes sparkling with pride. “I’m head cheerleader now!”

Tony paused, his tools still in hand. He sat up straighter, surprised by the announcement. “Whoa, seriously? Head cheerleader? That’s awesome! I mean, I knew you’d make something happen, but this… this is next-level. You know, I was the king of the school for a reason, kid.”

She flashed him a wide grin, obviously proud of herself. “I know, right? And it was so easy, Dad. It was like everything just fell into place.”

Tony leaned back in his chair, still smiling, but curiosity tugged at him. “Tell me everything. How’d you pull it off?”

Y/N hesitated for a split second before she casually flopped down on the couch, kicking her feet up on the coffee table. “Okay, so it started with Cameron right? She was in line to be the head cheerleader. Been working her whole life for it. But, she had that D in chemistry, and I just—well, I tweaked it. You know, a little software update here, a little school system adjustment there…”

Tony’s smile faltered as the pieces of the story began to fall into place. “Wait, you hacked the school system?”

Y/N gave him a sweet, innocent look. “Just a little thing, no harm done. Cameron had no business being captain anyway. D’s are for losers. So, I made sure she was out of the picture.”

“Y/N…” Tony began, rubbing his temple in frustration. “You can’t just mess with people’s lives like that. That’s not how you—”

She cut him off with a nonchalant wave of her hand, her voice still light and peppy. “Oh, Dad, relax. It was just a minor thing. It’s all part of the plan. Anyway, after Cameron ? I had to deal with Abbie. She thought she had it in the bag, too, but she wasn’t quite prepared for what I had up my sleeve.”

Tony’s eyebrows shot up. “What did you do to Abbie?”

Y/N’s grin widened, a playful yet almost predatory glint in her eyes. “Well, I hired this guy… you know, give her a little gift—a lovely case of mono. Totally took her out for the week, so she couldn’t even tryout. Now guess who’s the head cheerleader?”

Tony’s jaw dropped, and for a long moment, he couldn’t find the words. His daughter, the one he’d raised and hoped would take the moral high ground, had taken a shortcut straight to the top, and it wasn’t pretty.

“You didn’t—” Tony started, but Y/N was practically gleaming now, practically glowing with pride as she continued her story.

“Yeah, I did. And now, no one’s in my way. The seniors all think I’m amazing. They kiss my ass, and I’m just sixteen! I’m the girl to beat, Dad. I’m winning.” Her voice was sugary sweet, but there was an edge to it. A fierceness that matched the deadly precision of her methods. “I’m raising hell dad, I’m totally untouchable!”

Tony stared at her, trying to process the words that were coming out of her mouth. His daughter, the head cheerleader—the head cheerleader—was a mastermind of manipulation and underhanded tactics. His thoughts raced, but all he could manage was a frustrated sigh.

“Y/N, you can’t just—this isn’t some game you can play however you want,” he said, standing up from his chair, his voice low and serious now. “You’re talking about taking down people—changing their lives, getting them sick… this isn’t how you build something. You have to earn things the right way.”

Y/N crossed her arms and kicked her legs up a bit more, a little smirk tugging at the corners of her mouth. “Dad, I did earn it. I did whatever it took, just like you always say. Get to the top, or get out of the way. Don’t you always talk about how it’s a dog-eat-dog world? This is how the world works. If someone’s in my way, I just take ‘em out.”

Tony’s expression tightened. He could see how she justified it in her mind, but it wasn’t what he’d meant when he’d taught her to fight for what she wanted. This was more than ambition—this was ruthlessness.

“I know what I taught you,” Tony said quietly, stepping closer to her. “But there’s a difference between fighting for what you deserve and just cutting down anyone in your way to get what you want. You can’t just step on people to win, Y/N. You have to consider the cost of what you’re doing.”

Y/N’s smile didn’t waver, but there was a small flicker of doubt in her eyes. “Dad, you said it yourself—if you’re not first, you’re last. I don’t care about the cost. I care about being the best. And right now, I’m the best.”

Tony sighed again, rubbing his temples as he paced in front of her. “It’s not about being the best, kid. It’s about who you are when you get there. You can be the top dog all you want, but if you’re stepping on people to get there, what does that say about you? You won’t have anyone left when you’re at the top. That’s the cost. The price of all this ambition.” He gestured around, trying to make her see the bigger picture. “Do you really want to be known as the girl who would do anything—anything—to be at the top, no matter who you hurt?”

Y/N paused, chewing on her bottom lip for a moment as she glanced at her dad. She could see the concern in his eyes, the disappointment that was starting to show in his expression, and it gave her pause for just a second. But then the smile returned to her face, and she shrugged.

“I get what you’re saying, but I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong, Dad. I’m winning.” Her voice had a sharpness to it, one that didn’t match the cheerfulness in her tone. “This is how it’s done. And I’m ready to take on anything.”

Tony closed his eyes, swallowing his frustration. He knew she was clever—too clever for her own good sometimes. He just hoped she’d realize one day that there was more to success than simply being on top.

“Well, I guess we’ll see how long that lasts, huh?” he said, his voice softening. “But just remember: the way you get to the top will follow you. It’s not always about being the fastest, or the strongest… it’s about being the right kind of person.”

Y/N grinned, clearly unbothered, and shrugged once again. “I’ll keep that in mind, Dad. But right now, I’m the head cheerleader, and that’s all that matters.”

Tony’s heart sank, but he gave her a small, resigned smile. “Yeah, you sure are kid.” He turned back to his workbench, feeling both proud and disappointed in the same breath.

Magic The Gathering x Final Fantasy - Spoiler Season Part 21 (14/05/2025 - Jecht and Vincent)

This post is literally just talking about Jecht and Vincent. Yup. Let's get to Jecht, Reluctant Guardian and Braska's Final Aeon

Mono Black makes a good amount of sense for Jecht. Cocky, arrogant and all-around not a great guy. I know he means well, but he is ultimately also abusive towards Tidus... so you know.

4 mana for a 4/3 is slightly below rate, but it isn't too bad. He also has menace, so he will get in somewhat regularly. His ability is whenever Jecht deals combat damage to a player, you may exile it, then return it to the battlefield transformed under its owner's control. Neat, so this guy doesn't really have an ability in his normal form. 4/3 with menace.

Let's talk about that transformation then, Braska's Final Aeon. 7/7 and menace for stats, so hits harder, is tankier and just as evasive. Its abilities are:

Lore counters 1 & 2: Each opponent discards a card and you draw a card. So the first turn this becomes a cantrip effect, as it replaces itself as a card in your hand. The second turn this becomes card positive. However, unless you are playing against 3 graveyard shenanigans decks, this will absolutely be target for removal, since no one likes having to discard a card, unless they were already well over the amount of maximum cards in their hand.

Lore counter 3: Each opponent sacrifices two creatures of their choice. So even more of a target on this thing. If it does go off, good amount of removal by being able to remove 6 potential threats. Good stuff.

This is a difficult card to rate. I'll immediately say: don't bother in 60 card formats. The front side doesn't do anything but be a good enough evasive creature and the backside is so telegraphed, it will be murdered. For commander... definitely not as your commander. He doesn't do anything and unless you plan on winning the game before he pops, automatically sacrificing him yourself is so rough and needing to recast him will feel awful. In the 99 of a deck I think he will be a lot better. What type of deck? Honestly, go wild. It is a small card draw engine and removal piece, you can use that in almost any deck.

Now for the art. Credit to Michael MacRae. Link to their ArtStation. I love the contrast between the super bright Jecht art and the significantly darker art for Braska's Final Aeon. Also love that you can see the party that is ready to fight Braska's Final Aeon on that art, though they are tiny. Great arts!

As for the alternative art:

Credit to Tomohito. Link to their Twitter. That sure is Jecht and Braska's Final Aeon in a different art style, a bit more classically Japanese inspired. However, that contrast is still there of the brighter Jecht art and the darker Braska's Final Aeon art. Also love that you can see Sin in the background of Jecht's art. Very nice!

Let's move on to Vincent Valentine and Galian Beast!

Black for Vincent makes perfect sense. Brooding, edgy and distant. Also, a literal assassin, since he worked with the Turks. Fair enough, though I think there is argument for him to be White and/or Red in addition to Black, so White/Black, Black/Red, or Red/White/Black.

Anyway, 4 mana for a 2 is definitely behind rate, however he can grow... very quickly even. His abilities are:

Whenever a creature an opponent controls dies, put a number +1/+1 counters on Vincent equal to that creature's power. You're opponent playing a huge Green creature they got to 20/20 and it dies? Vincent is suddenly a 22/22. Yeah, this is pretty awesome. Even better if you are able to board wipe while keeping Vincent alive with indestructible, he will be massive.

Whenever Vincent attacks, you may transform him. Very easy way to get to transforming him and keep in mind, since this doesn't exile, those counters you got from the first ability stay equipped.

Now let's talk about Galian Beast, his transformation. Trample and lifelink, so evasive and gets you life back equal to the damage it deals, very nice. Also, it's a 3/2, just a bit more power. It has a very simple ability: when Galian Beast dies, return it to the battlefield tapped. Keep in mind that this does trigger any death effects, any "if a card leaves your graveyard" effects and any enters the battlefield effects, since the card comes back as a new instance of Vincent Valentine. Neato!

I will say, I don't think 60 card formats care for this guy. Comes in and does nothing except maybe grow if your opponent's creatures die. Maybe might be a side board piece against sacrifice happy decks. For commander, I think this kind of rules, simply because there are going to be more creatures on the board and if they die, Vincent grows. I actually think he works well both as a commander and in the 99 of a deck. What type of decks? Vincent is pretty open ended, so pretty much whatever, but in the 99 of a deck, I'd place him in a +1/+1 counters deck.

Now for the art. Credit to Norikatsu Miyoshi. Link to what I think is their Twitter? It is linked on their pixiv. Those sure as Vincent and the Galiant Beast. The effects make it almost seem misty or dream like, which is cool. Aside from that, not much to say, just a pretty cool art!

They look pretty cool, but nothing really screams out as something that wants to tell a story... these are just portraits. Pretty good looking portraits, but portraits nonetheless.

His lips were against your neck, searching for that one spot that left you helpless.

A few breathy moans escaped your parted lips as you tried to process all the attention on your soaking wet cunt and on your neck at the same time. "I'd love to have your children..~" you whispered, before realising what you'd just said. Your face growing red.

I have no idea if this was like a trend before but I want it to be one now-

Just turn yourself or your oc into a silly lil guy and then let us yap together about them! I think that would be really fun!

If you need a bit of inspiration, don't you worry! Your lovely muse has some questions to help ya think:

You need to decide four things for your critter: An animal,a main color,a scent and a theme.

What would be their role in the friend group?

What inspiration can you take from your og character or from yourself even?

Are they paired with anyone of the canon critters?(Not necessarily in terms of shipping, more like how for example Dogday and Catnap are designed as clear opposites to each other.)

Annnnd cool artists don't gatekeep the fonts I used for the bio are Cartoon fun for the scent/name and VCR OSO Mono for the information.

Anyway I'll now just go off to yapping about critter Doppel because I can have fun-

(Featuring: super cool secret nightmare critter design, and I'll probably yap about their bigger body counterpart and the actual game stuff in another post)

So here is their og look next to the critter:

As you can see a very silly, squishy looking fella.

They already match the critters a tiny bit which is why I got the idea in the first place, their inspiration were old school cartoons to begin with.

The animal I choose was a monkey, mainly because their personality is that of a chaotic toddler which I think embodies them perfectly, it also is a hint that despite their proper name and fancy get up they are but a creature.

Speaking of the get up: why are they so decked out compared to other critters?

Obviously I wanted to stay true to the og design but in universe the actual reason is the following: Doppel Doppington is part of a special edition line, made to celebrate some type of event, inspired by the black and white rubberhose tools! Hence the fancy get up, kids should feel special for getting 'em after all!

They also became a character in a commercial cartoon featuring the critters, first appearing in their debut episode: "A new day, a new pal!" They also served as Catnaps "replacement" after he was discontinued.

But like a curse Doppel was also discontinued shortly after as a faulty batch of plushies was released who's scent was completely off, making them smell like and I qoute:

"Like those cheap highlighters kids always sniff."

And well it did cause a lot of children to start sniffing on their markers and like- three fights broke out in the toy isle over the chemical smelling lil stinker lmao

But considering how much money they were racking in, playtime co did decide to reboot them for the Nightmare critters series, changing their name to "Double trouble" and their scent to ebony wood.

The design didn't change too much, for one key reason: the way their cartoon counterpart handled to change.

In the show the episode: "An eye for an eye!" A series of misunderstandings and unfortunate events cause Doppel to stop seeing the critters as their friends altogether, instead abandoning them to join the nightmare critters officially becoming a antagonist.

However the show did hint that they might have a shot at redemption...

But that is all I'm telling for now;D

Soos was standing in the dark, rubbing his head where the record hit him. He was still wearing the coat Stan had got him last November, Stan wondered if it was really that cold out under the curdling warmth of cheap whiskey. "Why the hell aren't you in Portland?"

Soos chuckled. "You know nothing can keep my Abuelita down for long - she got discharged early, I just brought her back."

Stan put the gun down. "Take the week off, family's important."

"I know." Soos said, but still came to the porch and sat down next to him on the ratty old couch. "Happy birthday."

"Birthdays are the worst." Stan grumbled.

Soos hummed. "Yeah. Yeah they are. Want me to hold up an airport to take today off the calendar?

Stan snorted. "No way in hell, kiddo, you're too squishy for prison. Sides', s' not fair for everyone else with a birthday today."

"Ah, they can pick new ones. Winter birthdays are cooler anyway." He said, giving Stan his expectant 'I made a joke' look.

Stan snorted, pushing his cap over his eyes. "That was terrible. Use it on the customers."

"Yes, sir!" He fixed his cap. "What were you doing out here anyways?"

"Skeet shooting old records. Wanna try?"

Soos' eyes widened. "Yeah! Abuelita never lets me touch her shotgun. Says it's for el desperdicio de franqueo."

Stan hoped to see the day she used it. "C'mere." Stan put the gun in Soos' hands, and wrapped an arm around his shoulders to pull him closer. "This is where you load, that's the handle - you're right-handed so hold it like this." He adjusted Soos' hands, and they stayed right where Stan put them. "Perfect. That feel right to you?"

"Yessir." Soos' voice cracked. He looked even more stiff than when he'd taught him to drive.

"Relax, gumdrop, nothin' but trees out here, you don't gotta stress so much." He said, nudging Soos' bicep up to point the gun. "Now, I'll throw em', you aim em. Don't shoot your eye out."

Soos nodded, and Stan grabbed another cardboard sleeve. ''TACET's Beethoven Symphonies." He announced off the plain block letters, slipping the vinyl out of its cardboard protection and flicking it - trying to keep it close-ish.

The gunfire sounded louder when Soos did it, and Soos got shoved into his shoulder by the recoil, but he saw half the record shatter where the bullet just barely grazed it. Aw, it was horrible, Ford probably paid a lot for all those prissy records in shards in the grass, no way in hell all of them were even replaceable thirty years later. Stan cackled. "Nice shot, kid!"

Soos laughed too, leaning back into his shoulder more, all the tension gone. It was good, the hours he'd spent alone baking and waiting for people to come seemed like they'd happened ages ago to someone else. "Hey, wanna go again?" He asked, nudging Soos again. The kid smiled and it squished his lower lip into his buck teeth and it was just the cutest thing.

The next few shots went about as well as the first one, and after the sixth miss Stan reached into the box for another cardboard sleeve and found nothing.

He sighed. "That's it then."

"I could ask for some of Abuelita's records?"

Stan shook his head. "Nah, no point. You should be going home anyways." He said, finding his abandoned whiskey by his feet.

"... Can you come with me?"

Stan raised an eyebrow.

"S' totally cool if you don't want to, I know you're usually busy this late, but things have kinda sucked lately and I got tv and gas station cupcakes at my place."

Stan blinked. Soos was giving him those pathetic puppy eyes, and Stan was weak.

"Sure, if you really want me to come over. But I'm driving."

Soos smiled like Stan had given him a million bucks.

So I'm a Spider, So What: Alternate Ending

After finishing the light novel series, I had major issues with the abruptness of the ending. So here's my take on it.

This takes the place of the chapter "Everyone Ever After".

The fic is under the cut. Expect extreme spoilers!

It's been a while hasn't it?

Me? I'm just enjoying the fruits of my labor.

Well, not my labor per-say, they were a gift as thanks for all the other work I've done. Seems like even after all this time, people still think fruit is my favorite food.

I know, right? You pilfer one dried fruit, and suddenly that's your whole personality in their eyes.

Huh? Why aren't I currently in D's clutches? Well, she decided to be nice and let me hang out on the planet until Ariel dies.

What? That doesn't sound like the kind of thing she would do? Even an evil god can be nice once in a while. Just look at me.

There definitely wasn't any begging involved.

Or groveling.

Definitely.

I definitely didn't have to agree to something humiliating to get this time off.

Anyway, it's been a little over a year, and Ariel died a couple weeks ago, so I'm currently just chilling until D gets here.

Guess I'll fill you in on how everyone is doing.

Naturally, I spent most of my time hanging out with Ariel and Sariel. They are just too cute together. I don't think I've ever seen Ariel happier.

They had so many stories to share with me about the days before the system. She really was practically Ariel's mom.

Man, and I thought how I got my name was dumb.

As for Sariel, she was nothing like I thought she would be.

Like, I always assumed the Divine Voice (temp)'s mono tonality was due to Sariel being puppeted by the system, but no. That's just how she always sounds. Even when she's clearly excited.

Even creepier, she was apparently conscious the whole time she was in there.

Yikes.

Like, I had an inkling that was the case since she redirected the attack away from Guli-Guli, but wow. The fact that she's still sane is a miracle in itself.

And that means she was privy to all my many petty crimes.

Huh? What do you mean they weren't so petty? I'll have you know I'm a model citizen.

Even weirder, instead of getting mad, she just lectured me about the ethics of killing.

Yeah, I dunno. I don't really get her. But as long as Ariel is happy, that's good enough for me.

Anyway, as much as I love my grandma, I didn't spend all my time with Ariel.

Vampy has some big plans. She wants to become the Frost Vampire Queen.

Yeah, I don't know exactly what that means either. But basically, she wants to live in a castle.

Seems a little childish to me, but if she wants to live her vampire lord dreams, who am I to stop her.

Oh yeah, that's a thing. By this point, all the skills and titles and stats have worn off, but some people and monsters still retain certain abilities.

Like, Vampy wasn't a vampire because of her skill, she had the skill because she was a vampire. So even in her natural state, she still has basic vampire powers, like mist form, and the ability to call upon creatures of the night.

Plus she still has the perk of being a progenitor! No vampire weaknesses! Thank goodness she decided to just be queen of a remote little village. She could definitely take over the world if she wanted.

So, remember that remote spot in the Mystic Mountains? Where Guli-Guli's soul haven village is? That's where Vampy is building it. It's gonna be a pretty long-term project, but Nia decided to help out in exchange for a very nice bedroom.

Thank goodness we no longer have to worry about soul deterioration. Even highly corroded souls like Ariel's should be good to go. Now that children can be born with fresh souls again, old souls can take as long as they need to recover before returning to the cycle.

I'm very curious about Ariel and Sariel's next incarnations, but their souls are so damaged it will probably take centuries for them to recover.

Anyway, Mera is naturally helping Vampy too. Ever since Envy wore off, she seems to have calmed down, at least a little.

It's been a bit rough for him. He used to be fine wearing a cloak in the day, but without defense stats or fire resistance, he basically can't endure sunlight at all anymore.

Ah well, at least he's happy.

Once Ariel passed, the puppets decided to go join Vampy. I suppose they also find the idea of royal role-play enticing.

Oh yeah, Wald is there too. I'm not sure if Vampy has noticed.

As for Mr. Oni, I was pretty concerned for a while there. After the battle he got real somber, and every conversation sounded like he was saying goodbye for the last time.

Thankfully, before he could commit to anything, a population of surviving goblins was discovered in the deep north.

So, yeah! That sure lit a fire in him. He's been really busy, helping the goblins recover after the system's collapse, and acting as a diplomat to get goblins recognized as a legitimate humanoid race.

It's nice to see him so passionate about something again.

Speaking of passion, Yuri has been cooking up a storm. I thought it would take a while before she got results, but dang.

I guess between literally everyone reading Taboo, Dustin's death, and Sariel actually showing up as a witness, it wasn't hard to get most people on board with a more accurate religion.

Seriously, it only took three months for her to fully reform the Word of God church into the Church of Goddess Sariel.

And Sariel isn't the only one they worship. Get this: They worship me!

Albeit, I'm seen as an evil god, but I guess that's fair.

Basically, they view Sariel, Guli-Guli, and I as role models for how people should live their lives.

Frankly, I think that's a terrible idea.

I think my ridiculous pride and perseverance is probably a hindrance without the system. After all, my hell-training techniques don't really work without skills.

But oh well. I'm probably gonna try and stay uninvolved with the church unless they start spreading some ridiculous rumors about me.

Okay, that's blatantly untrue. I can't wait to see what sort of ridiculous claims they make about me. They already seem to be under the impression that I killed D. I was worried she might smite them for that, but everyone seems un-smoten, so I guess she doesn't care.

Let's see, who else?

Ah, yes, Yamada. Apparently he has no interest in taking the throne, instead pushing it off onto his older brother.

I was kinda hoping to watch the implosion of his harem situation, but sadly, it turned out to be a non-issue.

Yeah, turns out he just has a lot of friends who are girls, not girlfriends.

Yeah, Fei didn't actually have any romantic feelings, and Yuri is too busy being a Pontiff to pursue her minor crush, so the only ones actually fighting over him were Sue and Katia.

Like, I'm no romance expert, but even I can tell Yamada and Katia like each other. A lot.

Sue has calmed down after being caught red-handed in the love nest, but she's still making things difficult for them. Guess we'll just have to see how things go.

As for Ms. Oka, she and Anna have been working on finding all the half-elves they can. After everyone found out what a POS Potimas was, his remaining descendants have had it rough.

So, they decided to start rebuilding the Elf Village, and turn it into a safe space for those who still have elf blood.

By the way, I ended up telling Ms. Oka about how she saved my life as a spider.

Look, I didn't mean to make her freak out again.

Look, it's not your fault there were utterly ridiculous butterfly effects from that decision.

Thankfully, I don't have any other world-shattering revelations for her, so hopefully she'll be fine.

I've heard some of the half-elves plan to study Potimas' tech, hoping to make them work off more traditional power sources.

I mean, that seems like a terrible idea to me, but as long as I keep an eye on them, it should be fine.

Huh? How do I plan to keep an eye on them if D is gonna come get me?

My spider surveillance network, duh. Just because D will be forcing me to be physically by her side doesn't mean I can't still influence things. Plus I'm keeping in contact with Philmina and the others.

Not that I intend to actually do much. But if anything comes up, I'll catch it.

Like how that old mage guy has been studying magic.

Yeah, even if the system is gone, ambient magic power still exists. He's been studying how to potentially manipulate it even without Magic Power Operation and Magic Power Perception.

Frankly, I'm not sure if it's even possible.

But he already showed off his ability to perform magic beyond what the system provided, so if anyone can figure it out, it's him.

I don't mind humanity using magic, though I'm a little concerned it might use up MA energy. Guess I'll just have to keep an eye on it.

Let's see, what else?

The demons are doing alright. They've taken heavy losses over the years, but now that new souls can be born, they can finally start to repopulate.

Without the skill growth bonuses, demons and humans are a lot more comparable than they used to be. I guess we'll just have to see if the peace lasts.

I hope so.

Well, with Balto heading the restoration efforts, I'm fairly optimistic.

Oh, and get this.

He married Boobs.

Didn't see that one coming. I always thought she was licentious sort, but maybe that was just me being racist.

I mean, she literally calls herself a succubus. Can you blame me for assuming?

Let's see, who else? I don't have that many acquaintances, do I?

Oh, right, the other reincarnations. Uh, the adventuring duo got married, so that's nice.

Really, for the most part I've just let them do as they want.

Most of the reincarnations the elves caught have settled in Uppenbebetenia. With the high concentration of reincarnations, the place might become a little Tokyo.

Although, I have my eye on Kudo. I think she might be heading some sort of cult? So far they've just been exchanging a lot of hand drawn manga, but I'm worried about the contents.

Eh, it's probably fine.

So, yeah. I've been popping all over the place to visit everyone. But I've mostly just been vegging with Ariel and Sariel. It's been nice to have a break after all the craziness.

Shame D is gonna ruin that any second now.

Anyway, once they died, we ended up having a huge funeral. Guli-Guli ended up giving this amazing eulogy.

But I didn't cry. I have my pride.

Ok, maybe I cried a little.

Honestly, I probably would have cried more, but my eyes were sore from crying so much at Ariel's deathbed.

Even Vampy cried at the eulogy. That's how you know it was moving.

What? Why didn't I give a eulogy?

Have you heard me?

That's right, you haven't.

Cause I can't talk. Especially to a crowd.

Seriously, turnout was incredible. Nearly ten-thousand in attendance, and nearly all of humanity was able to watch thanks to some remote projections I set up in the major cities.

Seriously, just standing next to Guli-Guli with all those eyes staring was enough to make me feel like imploding.

After the ceremony, we ended up burying them together in the approximate location of Sariel's orphanage. We had discussed it prior to their death, and it seemed the most appropriate thing to do.

And that was that.

So, yeah. Now it's just a waiting game. Honestly, I thought D would yoink me the second Ariel's heart stopped beating, but apparently not.

"Shiraori. I'm back."

Ah, there she is to ruin my relaxation. Maybe if I don't turn around, she'll ignore me.

"Shiraori, I'm talking to you."

Don't call me that. You are literally the only one who calls me that.

"Well I have to call you something, don't I?"

Call me White. That's my name.

"Hmph. I hoped to gain some modicum of control by naming you, but I suppose I was beaten to it."

Look, I'm going with you, alright?

"Why don't you look over here and see your surprise?"

Up to this point, I've been consciously excluding her from the perception of my x-ray vision.

I wearily turn around.

Only to see her manic grin as she holds up the tackiest maid outfit I've ever laid eyes on.

"I'm a little late because I wanted to make sure to find the perfect uniform for your new position."

I stand and stare at her.

Seriously? My name is White. Why do I have to wear this garish travesty?

"If you wear the accompanying bonnet, I'll let you have holidays off to visit your friends."

If my eyes were open, I'd narrow them. What's the catch?

"I only celebrate leap days."

Huh. Honestly, that's a lot better than I expected.

I sigh and extend my arms. In a flash, I've used spacial magic to swap my dress for the uniform.

She smiles wickedly.

"Now, let's head home. You've got training to do."

Wait? Training? I thought you were just gonna make me be your maid!

Sandmann/Zeke and Sandfrau Headcanon dump

I've got so many headcanons about each of the guardians, that I posted onto my other social media but have yet to share here. So you can look forward to more headcanon posts!:D

First off, Sandfrau's name is Sana

She is as old as Zeke and also an immortal being. Due to being the architect of dreams, dreams skin showcases all kinds of dreams, mostly in indigo, pink-red and gold colors.

Zeke adopts all kinds of snakes that they come across, almost every week being like "Heyyyy...sweetheart...look who I found!" And every time Sana looks at zir and goes "Do you even realize that I'm very much scared of snakes or does that just go in one ear and out the other?"

As much as dream says dream is afraid of snakes, dream also loves them. She is scared but all the little snake kids have grown onto her. Especially their gigant snake, who could easily devour both of them in one go but is way too sweet to even think about hurting them.

The gigant snake was actually the first snake Zeke ever adopted, back when they just became a guardian, and somehow snuck it's way into becoming immortal too.

Anyway, Zeke is actually pronounced like "Eziekel" but one day zir brother's started calling zir "Zeh-cke" and gaslit zir into believing that's the actual pronounciation. Cons of being the second-youngest, I'd say.

Pros of being the second youngest however, is that none of your older brothers would expect you to get a partner, much less get married, before them. Zeke still thinks about the faces Klaus and Fips had when they told them they had a wife to cheer up.

Also, neither Zeke nor Sana are physically capable of sleep. It started a couple years after Zeke officially became a guardian. Now, Zeke and sana have always had trouble sleeping, but it started ramping up from there until it got to a point at which they can't even feel tired or sleepy.

To replace the feeling of rest, they sometimes lay down together and close their eyes for a couple of hours while cuddling. They usually do that once a week, twice if their respective jobs allow it.

@mono-socke wrote a super cool drabble for that headcanon here!

Zeke's Sand also doesnt work for them. The only thing that it does is make them unbelievably tired, to the point where their eyes keep getting out of focus and their movements super sluggish. Sana had the misfortune of experiencing that after Zeke accidentally got a load of Dreamsand into her eyes.
