Currently trying to figure out how to make a calculator in LibreOffice that can take the "yes or no" answers of four questions and turn them into values for this horrendous formula I've mustered up:

(B1+G1(D1*C1)/P)+(B2+G2(D2*C2))=F

But I've never used spreadsheet formulas outside of basic adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, etc., so using IF/ELSE statements in a LibreOffice Calc document terrifies me. I barely know any Swift from Apple's Swift Playgrounds, but I feel like I could write a better script in Swift than the monstrosity I'm about to make in LibreCalc.

Got any tips for taking standardized tests? I would like to follow the patterns like a trained rat

Read the entire test before you start. This will give you an idea of what you’re in for, but in reading tests or literature exams, a lot of questions are answered by later questions. For example, “what is the setting of the story?” may later be followed by, “what may we infer from the protagonist’s description of 1880’s urban Westminster?”.

Strategize. If you’re a slow worker, maybe do the questions worth the most points first. If you’re not confident in your knowledge, maybe answer all the easier questions first, then leave the hardest for last.

In multiple choice questions, read the options before the question. Let them inform your assessment of the question itself.

In math, if none of the multiple choice options match your calculated answer, go with whatever is closest.

If you truly cannot figure out a multiple choice answer, start by eliminating the worst options and work backwards.

If all multiple choice options seem equally absurd, choose C. Assuming it gives you four options (average in my experience) this mathematically gives you AT LEAST a 25% chance of being right- slightly more, too, as C is statistically the correct answer slightly more frequently on average. Don't quote me on that though- the important thing is to “randomly” pick the same letter every time this happens, so at least 1 out of 4 works out.

Don't leave anything blank. Even if your odds of being right are one in a hundred, thats still better than zero.

For written answers, include the question in the answer. If the question is, “How are the blue curtains symbolic of the protagonist’s emotional state?”, rearrange the question as you present your argument. “The blue curtains serve as a symbol of the protagonist’s emotional state by…(supported argument here)”. Helps you structure your argument and looks tidier to the reader, but also if the person doing the grades is just skimming shit they may just see that you kinda get the idea and give you benefit of the doubt when marking.

I mean, in an ideal world all classes are taught for COMPREHENSION, as the lessons they teach have value beyond academic achievement and will serve you in many unexpected ways throughout your life beyond the academic, but seeing how standardized testing and AI cheats are flushing everything down the toilet as-is I’d be happy to see some more real and honest good old-fashion grifting tbh

i’m actually grateful for apple tv+ who seems to be able to believe in their tv shows despite ‘low’ ratings.

based on wikipedia, they have 76 ongoing shows (drama + comedy):

- 27 of them were ended but 13 of them had at least 2 seasons which brings us to a 18% cancellation rate after their first season

- 18 of them (23%) were miniseries so their end is justified

- 21 of them are renewed but if if you add the 13 series that had at least 2 seasons, this brings us to a total of 35 shows that were renewed which is a 46% ratio renewal rate

apple tv+ renews half of their shows and i think we should be thankful for them in a time where netflix and amazon cancels 90% of their shows

let's start by picking a specific apple because a lot of different apple types are red, we'll go with one that's native to Greece, like Firiki Piliou-

unfortunately there's no average height of these things, instead we have average circumference which is between 14 and 18 cm

so let's make life a little easier for ourselves and assume that all the apples we're using to measure Kore have a circumference of 16cm

this gives us a radius of ~2.5cm, a diameter of ~5.10 cm, and a volume of ~69.15cm (nice)

unfortunately (but unsurprisingly) i'm terrible at actually doing math and don't remember jack shit about determining height of an object from circumference, sooo next step is to go on youtube and find an ELI5 explanation of how to do that-

Heres the generator i use for the faerie people!

Its in Apple Numbers sadly (i wish i could use excel in my phone w/o the subscription fee)

but it has a few features!

such as; the list lengths for the hair and skintone are the same, so when that checkmark next to them (top two rows) is checked, it links the two rolls.

this takes the skintone and a random number and avarages the two and then rounds it to a whole number, meaning the hair color overall lines up with the skintone!

ive also used "cup size" to be a generalization for chubbyness in general-

is that accurate? ABSOLUTELY NOT- does it work for this simple usecase? sure-

plus im mostly going to be drawing fem people for the faerie for lore and personal taste reasons, so its useful when posing-
