The whumper didn’t have to capture the whumpee to hurt them, after all they had enough dirt on them to threathen the whumpee to do anything for them. It was easy to keep the whumpee in line that way, any time they tried to fight back, the whumpee would taunt them with evidence that would destroy them.

Fluff facts -

A:

-> Huge dog parent! Could be in the worse state of their life and they’d drag themselves home just for Luce (a Great Pyrenees) and Marianne (a Beauceron).

-> Would really enjoy taking d’Artagnan on walks through the markets or through the palace gardens (which they have permission from Louis and Anne to do) with their arms linked as they talk and make each other laugh.

C:

-> C and Anne became very fast friends and often make up ridiculous stories for the nobles that attend the balls.

-> Has a really sweet laugh in public, but often snorts and straight up cackles when laughing with d’Artagnan.

Nasira:

-> Would love to get a matching tattoo with d’Artagnan.

-> Spends a lot of time making friends with stray cats and dogs.

J:

-> Would buy you a present, then get embarrassed that they’d done so just as they’re giving it to you, so they make up that it’s from someone else but they agreed to give it to you. Does this every time and fools no one.

-> Cries at tragic romance novels.

Aramis:

-> Extremely loyal to his friends, and would do anything to protect those he loves.

-> Has a lovely singing voice and would sing to d’Artagnan should you wish him too (and sometimes when you don’t).

Porthos:

-> Will give d’Artagnan piggy back rides without hesitation, even if you’re as tall as him.

-> Supportive king!! Will always be there if d’Artagnan needs to talk about anything.

Milady:

-> Honestly, Laurence is the exact opposite of fluffy 😭 she’d hug you just to stab you in the back.

-> She’s ‘let women be evil!!!’ and feminine rage personified.

Adel, Clive, and Renault

Carnelian Lance (+1 AP)

Adel has retaliation earrings, otherwise whatever damage boosts we can find.

AP are all the same: Wild Rush if fully column, Pile Thrust on lowest HP percentage, then Assaulting Lance on lowest HP percentage. The goal is to nonstop infinite attack as much as possible, after running through part of each line.

PP is Cavalier Call on front row, Quick Guard if someone is under 50% HP and you really need the save, Knight's Pursuit is free.

Aramis

Is honestly just kinda here to take out evasive stuff. The loadout isn't significant in any way, he exists solely to one-shot Scouts and hopefully chunk fliers.

I did give him Hailstorm Edge for Icicle Dart, to hopefully freeze some armor dudes.

Gilbert

Not that he needs to, because Gilbert is here to do literally nothing but buff. Defensive Order only goes off if they're under 25% HP, otherwise it's just Offensive Order to the front row. Banishing Stab exists if the foe has buffed.

Sniping Order exists to grant the team truestrike if there are evasive shits in play. Guard Order is there if anyone's under 75% HP, otherwise we go Rapid Order for better initiative to steamroll quickly.

Game Plan They just run over everything. Gilbert tends to lead with Rapid Order into Offensive Order, leading to Aramis doing his Meteor Strike thing, but then the cavs start charging. Every one of them leads with Cav Call, an effect that stacks 20% attack for their row of cavs. With Carnelian weapons giving +1 AP, they get a Wild Rush charge into their more reliable Pile Thrust. Assaulting Lance is backup. Because of Knight's Pursuit, every time one of them charges a column, one of the others does a follow-up. I've seen them completely tear through armor units 15 levels above them, it's nuts.

The whumper was tired of being looked down upon and mocked, they wanted to finally have power in their hands, and if they had to torture their way to power then so be it. Finally, the whumper felt strong, and finally, people looked at them with fear, and they didn’t feel guilty about hurting so many, after all, many of them had mocked them before- they deserved it all.

It didn’t take long for the whumpee to figure out that they weren’t going to be rescued- they’d spent so much time pushing people away and hurting others for their own gain that the whumpee just knew nobody was looking. At first they’re angry- they shouldn’t be left to be tortured just for that- but then they’re just…sad, blaming themselves for what was happening, and a part of them felt like they deserved the torture.

The whumpee had screamed so much during torture that they’d damaged their voice- and they had loved talking before. The whumpee just decided to stay silent- they were ashamed of so many things, and their voice was just like a punch in the gut.

The whumpee had been conditioned to believe that any mistake would land them in severe punishment, that any wrong step would result in their torture- and this mentality stayed with them even after rescue. The whumpee would freeze when they broke something on accident, hide when they lost something else. They knew they were free now, but a part of them didn’t believe it.

The whumpee had spent their entire life with the whumper, so punishment and torture was something they expected out of everyone- but their enemies, the people the whumper had raised them to hate- were so kind. The whumpee would be given blankets and food without anything being expected in return. At first it all felt like a trick, but eventually the whumpee didn’t care- lie or not, they preferred their new life.

The whumpee didn’t trust anyone anymore, it didn’t matter if they had been close before or not- everyone was a threat, everyone had the chance to be working with the whumper. The whumper had been their friend, so of course, anyone that tries to be nice to them now must have ulterior motives.

The whumpee had gotten used to the rules and punishments of living under the whumper, to the point of barely getting reprimanded. There were no rewards- no treats for being good, it was all just less punishment, and at that point that’s all the whumpee could ever hope for. The whumpee was walking on eggshells, but at least they were walking.

The whumper didn’t want to care about the whumpee- but nobody was looking for them, hell, some were downright happy to take their position, so the whumper couldn’t help but get attached. The change was gradual, but eventually the whumpee went from being tortured to being comforted and cared for more than they had been before their capture.

The whumpee felt like a stranger in their own home, everything felt so familiar yet so alien. They found themselves staying in one room and avoiding the rest unless they needed it, the freedom was too overwhelming and the whumpee didn’t want it anymore.

The whumpee was known as a rough and calloused person that nobody wanted to willingly interact with, and most people assumed that they had always been like that. It’s only the caretaker that’s allowed to see them breaking down, waking up from nightmares and allowed to see the plethora of scars left behind by the whumper.

The whumpee refused to acknowledge what had happened to them, forcing a smile on their face and ignoring anyone what brought up what had happened to them. Sometimes the whumpee would even be aggressive towards anyone that tried to comfort them- they didn’t want to be reminded, and they wanted to go back to who they were before.
