"You weakened me!" By Ambessa is not a declaration of apathy! It is not her blaming Mel! It is when Mel finally learns that her mother isn't apathetic to her, that she isn't disinterested in her fate or disappointing in her, but instead she loved her too much and too deeply. That Mel threatened Ambessa with ruination, because the only way Ambessa has ever known to survive is by embracing brutality and sacrificing a peaceful death, while all Mel has ever wanted is peace. That a peaceful death would have literally meant the death of her child, back when she was still pregnant with one of them!

And Mel's disapproval of her meant that Ambessa could feel herself tumbling into a path of peace. Into a better path, maybe, but a path that for Ambessa has only ever meant death. If she could be more hardhearted, maybe she could have kept both - her family's survival, and her daughter - but alas. Her sending Mel away is not a failure on Mel's part, but in fact a failure on Ambessa's - because she could not withstand the arrows of her disapproval, now she needs to come to Piltover to collect her before whatever older enemies she has catch up with them both. She comes to Piltover to correct that mistake, to show Mel a harder heart, and yet! It's doeesn't work! Because Mel still demands of her vulnerability and she cannot help giving it to her!

Is there no greater expression of love, for her? To even contemplate opening herself up to that which is deadly, for the sake of the life and soul of her daughter? Is there nothing so undoing?

I love that Viktor, while Jayce is in the Hell Timeout Pit, keeps keepsakes from his old life - SPECIFICALLY ones of Jayce. The gear, the blanket he fashions into the ONLY CLOTHING we see commune Viktor in. Even his cane, which was repaired by Jayce and bore the House Talis symbol, he keeps. He doesn't need the cane anyone, yet he *keeps it*.

He can't let go of the memories of Jayce, of Jayce himself, even under overwhelming hexcore influence. HE LOVES JAYCE SO MUCH IT DEFIES THE ARCANE 😭😭

What if Ekko and some the Firelights are the only Zaunites that came to help defend Piltover?

I noticed in what is supposedly the big battle between PnZ vs Noxus, we actually don't see Zaun fighters attacking Noxian forces. The only Zaunites we see fighting Noxians, or at least providing support to Piltover is Ekko and the Firelights.

Between Ekko and the Firelights, only Ekko is wearing Jinx's X tag. From the trailer we can see that other Zaunites that rally behind Jinx or just support her either wear her pink X, dye their hair blue, or wear burgundy red (like Silco). The firelights don't dress like this, but Ekko does while he leads them in this fight. It could be a sign that they separated recently and came back together for this fight.

From the battle scenes we get in the trailer, it's more likely that Ambessa's forces had tried to take hold of Zaun, but were ultimately pushed out. In the shot where Ambessa's topside fighting against Piltovan enforcers, her mask is clearly damaged. If you look closely, you'll notice that there's at least three deep diagonal scratches across it.

There are only two seasoned fighters capable of leaving that kind of damage, Warwick or Sevika with her new arm (or maybe dhe got her claws back). Since I'm confident Warwick would turn Ambessa into ribbons, I think it's likely her and Sevika traded blows instead.

And then there's the scene where Ambessa has lead her forces in what must supposedly be Viktor's territory in the Sump. From the few shots of the place, we know there's about 6-7 people there including Viktor, and somehow they'll manage to repel Ambessa's army back?

Really, all the teasers and trailers have shown that Noxus will try to occupy every level of Zaun from the Sump to the Promenade, and even in Stillwater. The battle in Piltover probably only happens once Ambessa's forces are completely pushed out of Zaun and back into Piltover, and suddenly it's Piltover's problem.

Ekko and the Firelights are probably only helping Piltover because they assume leaving Ambessa in control would make everything worse. Meanwhile Jinx, Sevika, and Viktor's factions won't see a difference between Piltover and Noxus since they were literally working together (really it's a lateral move to most), and are content to watch them fight it out.

Obviously we see Jinx in what could be an airship over Piltover, but what makes us think she's there to help?

Tldr: Jinx, Sevika, and Viktor's factions respectively when Piltover asks for aid against Noxus.

Commander staples from my Kingdom Hearts-ified pre-con "Party Time" proxy commander deck. These ones are kinda self explanatory, Sol Ring and Arcane Signet are some of the strongest mana ramp cards in the Commander Format, so I had to go with the two most iconic images from Kingdom Hearts:

Genuine questions: why is it useful to hold (the negation of) this as a blanket statement? What is the meaning of "queer" here? Why is that attractive to every single person encapsulated by "aros", such that saying otherwise is to be threatened with death? What *is* universal to the experience of aromantic people, such that they all by default fit the meaning of "queer"? I can think of defensible, meaningful, internally consistent answers to all those questions, but I think the people reblogging this should also do that. It's important to always have a thread back to "what does The Discourse mean?"
