My very first playthrough of DAO was fem Surana and my headcanon for her (I don’t even remember her name I’m the worst) was that she had always had a crush on Jowan, and they were best friends so she’d never acted on it, and then he shows up with Lily and she’s GUTTED. And she has to pretend to like this girl while she’s helping them TO RUN AWAY TOGETHER TO GET MARRIED AND LIVE THE LIFE SHE ALWAYS WANTED???? And then Lily point blank asks about it????? Ah, fun times.

man, I did not get a whole lot done last month.

so, weirdly, I think […] Hat might be—the first piece for that arty little connection series project, where I was going to design around people, mostly online, and I—probably can’t use it. I think I wrote some things down about the process (it was kind of wild how little I thought about the person while I was working; it just was not an eight-hour meditation on this person or the relationship or any of it. I was mostly thinking Hat and about shapes, and once I had that worked out I was also reading a book. There was an actual distinct moment when I looked up and thought oh this really suits you, doesn’t it, and felt really happy about it, and the fleeting exceptionalism of that thought was a little surprising), but I don’t think I’m really going to be able to use them. There’s sort of a privacy issue.

I’ve had this idea for a indie video game that I’m a little scared to share.

Basically, it’s called Feralfolk and it’s about a group of escaped slaves, orphans, or other children/teenagers in 15th century Finland who decide to form an otherkin society, and you’re one of them. You get to choose your appearance, mask, and name, and you basically have to build up a village with your buddies while prioritising your and their needs.

I’ve pictured it in the style of Cattails and Stardew Valley, and also inspired by Manor Lords and Yaelokre as well.

If someone were to actually make this into an indie game, let me know if I can help with anything. Please note I have no coding skills, so I can help with backgrounds and loading screens, or dialogue.
