Result of four days worth of work over here: my darling Institute sillies as popstars ^^ And, funnily enough, the first time I’ve properly drawn them—as in, not in my even-more-simplified style I use for joke posts or to save time—ever. Anyway, artist commentary + in-universe lore bits under the cut!

The basic uniform’s the same, but everyone’s got some customization going on to make them stand out. The gradient sleeves in everyone’s signature colors—idea hit me like a bolt out of the blue and I had to add it. (Even if Flint’s was more trouble than it was worth, since there’s no good way to curve gradients ^^;) Similarly, everyone’s got glitter in their hair and makeup. One imagines these guys find glitter in their homes a lot :P

Onyx and Azure wear skirts (+ Onyx has leggings), Raven has a showgirl skirt over shorts, and Umber made it very clear you could not pay her to wear a skirt so she gets pants. Night and Cloud also wear pants, Flint and Seashell have shorts (+ Seashell also has leggings).

I gave Umber dyed tips for the AU, but my design for canon her also has the tattoo, you just can’t see it under the jacket.

Azure’s meant to be wearing star earrings (three stars hanging on a string—y’all see the vision?), but you can’t see them under her hair :P

Cloud’s top is meant to be baggier than everyone else’s, hence the curve of the fabric. (He still has eyebags here, they’re just covered by makeup.

I might redesign this AU’s Irratino a bit? Mostly just to make him more consistent with everyone else + fix some flaws that slipped past the first time + possibly a new hairstyle? Oh, and patterns :P But that’s for later, right now I’m going to not pick up a pen for the next few days because WOW this took a while, BYE—

coolkidd has befriended nearly all the killers at least a little. he’s made the least progress with John, who he will just approach with a small gift, leave at his feet and then run and watch his (mild) reaction from a distance

chance is embarrassingly into musicals. like embarrassingly. being into musicals on its own isn’t embarrassing but he’s embarrassing with how much he’s into them (he likes falsettos a lot id think)

3. The Art of the Kill

FIRST EPISODE WHERE EVERYONE HAS A DESIGN CURRENTLY YAHOOOOO

For this I need to introduce my much more talented sister Fletchinderat who is a crucial part of the design project, I couldn't possibly make every character by myself! And hers are AMAZING and YOU WILL LOVE THEM.

CAPTAIN SLATE: My sister's FAVORITE character and also her BEST design <3 <3 I ADORE this beautiful moon being and would die for her 🥰 She also made her entire backstory too!! Slate has trauma from an incident that happened when she was in space, so she is very quiet and emotionless.

BISHOP/ASTROLOGER AZURE: They are the same person in the cartoon!? Azure is a chameleon with a split-personality disorder, sometimes she's a stern and stiff bishop and sometimes she's a perky occultist. Either way, she is ADORABLE and good friends with Irratino <3

BLACKSTONE, ESQ.: And back to one of mine, Blackstone is literally like a marshmallow man idk what he is TwT He does shady shit all the time, but is also a nervous wreck. He looks like a Lego guy!!

Logico visits the island’s art museum. He hates it a lot.

LOGICO: OH, THANK GOD. I couldn’t look at these dumb paintings a second longer.

He meets Captain Slate, Bishop Azure, and Blackstone, Esq.. Azure and Blackstone are worried and potentially violence-filled, but Slate seems to be pretty okay with life and the world.

LOGICO: I HATE THIS ABSTRACT STATUE!!! AZURE: Then stop looking at it.

He looks for clues.

LOGICO: If you didn’t kill this person then why, WHY are you holding a GLASS OF POISONED WINE?? SLATE: I didn’t do it.

Logico figures it out pretty quickly.

LOGICO: AND, you did it in the entry hall! BE-HE-CAUSE THAT’S WHERE HE BODY WAS!! Oh, I am so good! I’m so fantastic! On top of that, BISHOP AZURE had the abstract statue- AZURE: I’m holding it. LOGICO: -and of course that means that BLACKSTONE had the vase! I managed to solve it all by myself with my own two eyebrows! SLATE: I should have stayed in space.

ROLEPLAY BLOG DESIGN STUFF

HI MOD ECLIPSE HERE!! I FINALLY MADE DESIGNS AND LORE ON THIS DUDE!!

THERE MIGHT BE TRIGGERING TOPICS OF : SUICIDE MENTIONS, SELF HARM ETC..READ AT YOUR OWN CAUTION.

EXPECT A LOT OF YAPPING.

PRE FORSAKEN NOLI:

In general Noli came from a troubled family just like 7n7 did, something the two of them bonded over with in collage.

Noli's family overall was extremely religious however he wasn't himself, instead his belief was more in the supernatural and fate.

He had a fascination with astrology, something he carried on even as a separate hobby.

While he was with 7n7, the two of them were average nerds, Noli tended to be more amused by 7n7's maythem as eventually he did begin to catch on feelings a little.

The reasoning for his mask is due to his self consciousness of how he looks. They prefer to wear the mask.

7n7's reasoning for his convincing of him to take the void star was the promise that if Noli did so, not only would this allow them to mess with the Admins even more, but also that Noli would practically would have people worship his name, he would be as famous as 7n7 was at the time.

And Due to Noli's undying loyalty for 7n7, he agreed. He trusted him. Little did he know that the experience was very traumatic for him as he was practically on the floor in pain, his skin partially burning in the processes.

While 7n7 stood there awkwardly but he did help him after the horrendous pain ended.

After the events of 7n7 trying to convince him to take the void star, Noli had to have several weeks to recover from the event as it was extremely very draining for him.

His body was constantly disoriented ranging from migraines to nausea or even Hallucinations.

During Noli's recovery this was around the time 7n7 had found c00lk1dd on his doorstep.

Noli was rather shocked when 7n7 told him the news..but he didn't hold distain against the kid, infact he helped him sometimes babysit him.

The only distain he held against 7n7 was their big planned heist that 7n7 wanted to do in the first place, the whole reason why Noli took that star. Meaning all that pain and suffering,days of practice were for nothing.

The two went their separate ways. 7n7 rasing c00lk1dd on his own and Noli starting to create his own Cult the "Void Cult" to overthrow the Roblox HQ.

The way Noli was forsakened was due to the announcement that 7n7 was gone..And although Noli still held that distain, he still secretly cared for him.

There were noticeable changes in his behaviours within the cult such as his often less and less gradual involvement. Mostly it was the members causing chaos on his behalf.

Noli simply just couldn't live like this, and so he used his own powers to just "disappear"..yet his followers still claim he will return on the 16th every month. Still causing chaos on his behalf.

NOLI IN FORSAKEN:

He is more introverted and reclusive to himself. Sometimes he may talk to the fellow killers but if he does it is mostly C00lk1dd and Azure.

He deathly touch starved of affection but at the same time is touch avoidant due to his trust being broken and abandonment issues.

Noli's relationship with the Spectre is complicated, on one hand he is able to get revenge as much as he wishes and express his hurt by projecting onto others.

But..at some point doing this so many times does tend to..get a bit boring. Yet he also resents the Spectre for trapping him in this game and practically making the killers suffer too, as they are not able to die but they are able to still starve. Leaving some of them with no choice but to either eat the dead survivors or simply just cope with the suffering.

He is an average fan of MSI, Femtanyl and breakcore of any kind.

The void star is trapped and ingrained within his chest and it is extremely hot to touch.

Part of him wishes to resolve the relationship with 7n7 but both of them are as equally as awkward about doing so.

Sometimes he tends to mental breakdowns to which if he does, he isolates himself as he doesn't wish anyone to see him as 'weak'.

During these breakdowns he tends to hurt himself as a way to cope, believing he might truly deserve to be here, which may lend him into falling into silent depression.

His persona of being chaotic and annoying is purely just an act he put on just as a way to make the others on his team entertained or at least interested in him so that they won't abandon him [trauma]

He isn't a big fan of fire..[trauma] but he convinces himself to get over it.

Headcanon: Dragons of the Four Seas

(inspired by a recent discussion with @the-monkey-ruler)

-Although Chinese dragons are water deities, there are dragons who control stuff other than water: Cold Dragons under the Dragon King of the North can freeze stuff, and Bailong Ma used to be a Fire Dragon in pre-novel variants of JTTW.

"Wouldn't it be interesting if the four major lineage of dragons all have their unique side-power, apart from water and weather manipulation?"

-It starts off as this, then spins out of control and becomes one giant worldbuilding exercise.

East Sea:

-The eastern direction is traditionally associated with the Wood element. However, I feel like plant manipulation will be too obvious.

-So instead, they are the master of Thunder and Wind——the trigrams that represent these two things, Zhen and Xun, are both Wood-aligned.

-Their lightning has a notable azure hue, and have adapted the force of Thunder specifically for underwater usage, creating highly potent sonic blasts as well as what basically amount to a sonar spell.

-They kinda consider themselves the archetypal dragon, representative of their kind, and certainly have the attitude to match.

-Like, they claim to be descended from the Azure Dragon of the East, even though the idea that a Divine Beast of the Four Directions, stellar guardian of the entire eastern section of the sky, can reproduce is...dubious at best.

-Don't you mention the time Ao Guang got bullied by Wukong. Or Nezha. Or Huaguang. Or the Eight Immortals. They are very touchy about that. Violently touchy.

-They also have close relations with water-dwelling Yakshas, who act as a sort of elite mercenaries in their military campaigns against other seaborn demons and rogue flood dragons.

-Basically, the proud generals of dragonkind, with a vast weapon collection to match. The dragon king's family also name their kids after Celestial Stems and Earthly Branches, much like the ancient Shang dynasty rulers.

-The East Sea dragons are the only lineage who has an official representative of the Celestial Host stationed in their territory, who's only known by his title, the "Water-dividing General of the East Sea".

-He seems to be an older sort of god, the half-man, half-beast ones who look like they walk out of an illustration of the Book of Mountains and Seas.

-Most of the time, he takes the form of a seal, lounging around on rocks and watching sunrises, and has the personality of a sarcastic old man.

-Whether he's here to keep an eye on them, or they are supposed to keep an eye on him, no one can say. Ao Guang certainly treats him like an old acquaintance, though.

West Sea:

-They are a bit tricky. West is associated with Metal, and the two Metal-aligned trigrams, Qian and Dui, represent Heaven and Marsh...which don't neatly map onto weather and natural phenomena.

-Then I had an idea. What if they have a natural affinity for heavenly bodies? In ancient times, the movements of stars are believed to affect weather, after all, not to mention the sun and the moon.

-This affinity can be figurative——their lineage has a strong relationship with the stellar deities of the 28 Lunar Mansion and Dipper Mansion——or literal.

-Like a natural talent for divination and astrology, predicting the future from the patterns of stars. They are no governors of fate, unlike the actual Star Lords, they are just fate's weather forecast guy.

-This puts them in an awkward position, though: the stellar gods act according to the Jade Emperor's orders, some of which are very much secret and beyond their clearance levels, but the best scions of the West Sea can just infer it from the movement of stars alone.

-Which makes them obsessed with proving their loyalty, as well as enforcing a draconian standard of secrecy, just so they wouldn't get into trouble for knowing something they weren't supposed to know.

-Even more rarely, they can harness the power of astral light. Most of the time, such light is of lunar nature——Star Lord Taiyin also holds sway over the ocean's tides, though it is an easily forgotten power.

-But sometimes, that light comes from a fiery, lively, or ominous star, and the power that results is just as temperamental as their stellar origins.

-Enters Ao Lie, Third Prince of the West Sea, who has highly potent fire powers despite not being a South Sea dragon, and became the subject of some rather tasteless gossips about his parentage the moment it awakened.

-All dragons love their pearls: it's kinda like an ordinary yaoguai's "inner core", an orb of solidified Qi that can be spit out and store separately from the body, but much more powerful and culturally significant.

-Well, the West Sea dragons use their pearls in the same way a Feng Shui master uses their geomantic compass, or a Zhou Yi diviner, their turtle shell and copper coins. The ones left behind by venerable ancestors are especially treasured, believed to lead to clearer insights and more reliable readings.

-Through that lens, Ao Lie's burning of one such pearl is the equivalent of descrating the dead + destroying a priceless, irreplacable supercomputer.

-Intentional or not, to a lineage that is so serious about their discipline, taboos, and absolute loyalty to the Celestial Host, it is enough to warrant death.

-To no one's surprise, they are the diplomats, the inter-department coordinators when it comes to weatherly business. Not just between relevant celestial bureaus like the Thunder and Water Bureaus, but also between local dragon kings of rivers and lakes.

-As a result, the West Sea lineage is the most open to marrying non-oceanic dragons, even though these are often out of practical and political needs.

-That's my explanation for why, in JTTW, Ao Run's nine nephews either guard rivers or work for JE/the Buddha. The West Sea lineage has really turned nepotism into an art form.

North Sea:

-In JTTW, we know that they have Cold Dragons that can chill stuff. It is certainly not too much of a stretch to imagine them as the ice-and-snow specialists, the ones you summon when you are sick of the heat or need to insta-freeze something.

-Historically, the "North Sea" in Chinese texts refer to Lake Baikal. However, I think it is cooler if their palace is literally in the arctic zone, under the ice caps.

-Instead of garden-variety shrimp and crab soldiers, they have lots of cultivated marine mammals. And elite legions of belugas and narwhals and bowhead whales.

-The smallest and most isolationist lineage also carries the grimest duty, as border patrols and prison wardens. Not only is the North Sea a hotspot of rifts that lead to the Underworld, it also conceals the portal to the Evil-Vanquishing Mansion of the North Pole——realm of Emperor Zhenwu, Lord of the North.

-Kind of like the Lord Father of the East and Queen Mother of the West, he is the sovereign of the northern direction and the Water element, as well as the direct superior of Xuanwu, one of the Four Divine Beasts.

-And his job? Subduing demons. The Evil-Vanquishing Mansion is basically a fleet of giant, hollowed-out icebergs, packed to the brim with powerful demons, ghosts, and rogue immortals.

-Any prisoners that make an unlikely escape will emerge into the North Sea, where the vigilant army of the dragon king awaits. However, that is not their main duty; it is the Eye of the North Sea that they swear to eternally guard.

-And the prisoner of the Eye is none other than Shen Gongbao, the infamous traitor of the Chan Sect who was behind most major conflicts in the War of Investiture.

-It was said that, though his body was stuffed into the Eye of the North Sea as punishment, in the end, his soul still gets deified as a minor water god.

-However, if there is only a mindless body left in there, why the need for such heavy security? Only the most experienced elders and veterans are allowed to go into the Eye's vicinity to check on Yuanshi Tianzun's seals, and repeated visit by the same people is strictly prohibited.

-Perhaps, instead of a split of soul and body, deification has split the soul itself: one half is exorcised of all the undesirable qualities, the other left to stew and simmer in them until it mutates into something unrecognizable.

-Such is the rumor among the North Sea's younger scions. But folks will make up anything to pass the time in those long, cold arctic nights, and whatever the truth is, it doesn't matter, as long as the seal still holds.

South Sea:

-Their element, Fire, is directly opposite to the North Sea's; much like the Cold Dragons, the Fire Dragons of the South Sea are heat specialists, creators of droughts and wildfires as well as bringers of warm winds.

-And their fire is a peculiar variant of Earthly Fire. Unlike Heavenly Fires, which draw from the blaze of the Three-legged Sun Crow, or the True Fires immortals used in internal alchemy, Fire Dragons channel the power of earth's flaming veins: that is, undersea volcanos and thermal vents.

-Though they usually display their power in less flashy ways——steam clouds, a playful whiff of sulfur, a blast of warm wind on a winter night, a Fire Dragon fully on the offensive is just like a mini live volcano, unleashing streams of magma and scalding smoke clouds.

-When dragons are mentioned as one of the Eight Classes of Demigods in Buddhism, more often than not, they are from the South Sea lineage.

-Like, the most popular Bodhisattva in Asia, Guanyin, resides in the South Sea. It's all but granted that the local dragons would also be heavily influenced by Buddhist teachings, in the same way their northern kins are drawn to the entourage of Zhenwu.

-Fun fact: the imagery of dragons has appeared in Chinese art since the Neolithic period, but the specific worship of dragons as gods of the Four Seas is a result of Buddhist influence.

-Prior to that, the gods of the Four Seas in the Book of Mountains and Seas are all beasts with human faces, wearing snakes as earrings or standing on a snake.

-And in Sui-Tang era works, some variants merged the Four Seas gods with the Four Directions gods of ancient times, and said that the god of the South Sea was Zhurong.

-A.k.a. the fire god that defeated Gonggong (in the most well-known version of the tale), who, being the sore loser he is, went and knocked over the sky support pillar with his head. Thus, Nvwa's patching of the sky.

-Legends of the South Sea lineage claim that the Fire Dragons draw their power from Zhurong's embers, and their king is descended from the two dragon mounts of the primodial fire god.

-To the outrage of more traditionalist dragons, they often intermarry with Nagas, the serpentine water gods of the Western Lands. Guanyin's dragon girl attendant is born of one such union, between the Naga lord Sagara and a princess of the South Sea.

-Their palace is located inside an underwater volcano, said to be the remnant of Zhurong's great forge. Giant tube worm gardening is a popular hobby among the South Sea nobility; however peculiar it may appear to outsiders, these colorful creatures thrive in the union of Fire and Water, much like the lineage itself.

Royal Sword Academy Headcanons (Part 1)

Before Yana Toboso could create a full beautiful set of canon characters on Royal Sword Academy, I would like to make an initiative on creating a summary of all the RSA original characters I managed to create and fell deeply in love with.

Royal sword academy, better known as RSA, is regarded as the most prestigious magic academy in all of Twisted Wonderland. The academy is home to all the most capable mages who are looking for more knowledge to garner. Unlike their counterpart, Night Raven College whose students are dealing with being confident and selfish yet always reaching the maximum of someone’s minimum, Royal Sword Academy’s students deals mostly with self acceptance and how to not have people trample all over you. Even if that’s the majority, Royal Sword Academy often looks down on other schools and even categorized people in boxes based on their personality or appearance.

Wonderville was founded upon the originality of the curious explorer who was the first to ever venture the realm of Wonderland, a mysterious land which no one had been able to enter and is the home of the Queen of Hearts. Students of Wonderville are exceptionally skilled in practical lessons yet terrible in analyzing lessons.

Alistair Wonder (Alice): Housewarden of Wonderville, 2nd year. a perfect example of a weirdo. He loves exploring the unknown and is a rebel to all rules imposed onto him.

Robin Burrow (White Rabbit): Vice Housewarden of Wonderville, 3rd year. A beastman with strict codes made by himself. Despite being in a free dorm, Robin is one of the few who follows through a strict schedule.

Solene Azure (Blue Caterpillar | Absolem): Dorm member of Wonderville, 3rd year. Someone who always speaks in riddles. Solene always carries a smoker that emits magenta-colored smoke that can transform into solid objects or blinds people.

Che’nya | Artemiy Artemiyevich Pinker (Cheshire Cat): Dorm Member of Wonderville, 2nd year. A complete mystery to those who came across him. Che’nya has a weird habit of disappearing at an every possible instance and reappearing with only his floating head on the scene.

Lysander Bates (Mad Hatter): Dorm Member of Wonderville, 3rd year. The person who arranges and hosts most of the unbirthday parties in Wonderville. He has an obsession with hats and always carries his belongings underneath his hat.

Felix Frithswith (Peter Pan): Dorm Member of Wonderville, 1st year. A young fae who’s obsessed over preserving a young facade, a youthful child-like demeanor which most find annoying. Felix would play pranks on people in and out of his dorm, amplifying annoyance.

Rogue Whimsy (Wendy): Dorm Member of Wonderville, 1st year. An older brother to all the first years in or outside the dorm, Rogue deeply wishes he could get out his confining house after being forced to be the sole caretaker of his siblings due to their parents absent behavior.

Ben Sverre (Tinker Bell): Dorm Member of Wonderville, 1st year. A stubborn and protective friend to all who walked into his life. Ben has a large temper, he holds grudges, and he speaks in a loud tone.

𝐑𝐎𝐒𝐀𝐁𝐑𝐄: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ғᴇᴀʀʟᴇss ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇss.

Rosabre was originally founded upon the bravery of the fearless princess who overcome a rally coming to kill her lover, a beast, even if it’s at the cost of her life.

Beau Desrosiers (Belle): Housewarden of Rosabre, 2nd year. Beau is a strict housewarden with a loving heart for books. Growing up in a poor old town, Beau wants to make a name for himself. He’s an inventor with a brilliant mind and often sends his inventions to a local fair, but due to his poor background, he was ignored.

Cyril Chant (Enchantress): Vice Housewarden of Rosabre, 2nd year. Playful and endeared by all. Cyril is a beautiful young man with a shining appearance and possess a high level of magic. Cyril loves acting clueless and innocent when he’s actually a menace and is competitive to a fault. His family are known as, to put it simply—wizard cops, and their method of punishments in the past were curses.

Lucian Bougie (Lumiére): Dorm Member of Rosabre, 3rd year. A laidback junior with the cursed ability to shapeshift into a mismatch of a candle, a fire, and a man. Along with Adonis (the Beast) and Algernon (Cogsworth), his ancestors were staffs of the Maudit family who were also cursed into wretched beasts by the Chant family.

Algernon Horloge (Cogsworth): Dorm Member of Rosabre, 1st year. A strict person who tries his best to not make mistakes. Whenever he does make some sort of mistake, either he goes into hiding or put the blame on Lucian who shrugged it of as a common occurrence. Algernon will let himself be childish when he’s surrounded by the people who he has grown fond of.

CORALIDOM: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ʟɪᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴍᴇʀᴍᴀɪᴅ.

Coralidom is founded upon the curiosity of the First Mermaid. The nickname “the First Mermaid” came from a mermaid of the past who is the one of the seven princesses of the sea being the first to forge a relationship with surface beings and founded a new era of inter-species harmony which proves to be beneficial for all.

Rielle Tritonage (Ariel): Housewarden of Coralidom, 2nd year. Rielle is born royalty and the first in line to the throne despite being the youngest out of seven brothers. However, Rielle doesn’t want to be a ruler, he wants to roam the world and learn about mankind.

Erik Mardios (Prince Eric): Vice Housewarden of Coralidom, 2nd year. Due to his parent’s influences, he wanted to become an architect for building ships. Erik is adventurous but shy. He wants to try something new but was afraid to do so. It’s until Rielle came into his life when things started to change.

Ellis Finn (Flounder): Dorm Member of Coralidom, 1st year. In front of people, Ellis is insecure and is nearly scared of everything but in social media, he is confident and boastful. Ellis’s presence in social media is constant and he seeks praise from social media because his parents never gave him praise.

Makoa Kahale (Moana): Dorm Member of Coralidom, 3rd year. Makoa lives in a beach of a remote island. As the chief’s only son, he was taught at a young age to be strong to lead their community to greatness. Because of past grievances with sea creatures who have killed plenty of members of their community, he was taught to hate the water and was appalled when he was put into Coralidom. But the people within the dorm teaches him that maybe his thoughts were opposite to reality.

Kaili Lani (Maui): Dorm member of Coralidom, 3rd year. Former student of Night Raven College and a troublemaker. Kaili is a fae who shape shifts into his animal form more often than not. He possess a rare ability within faes which is to shape shift into any animal he wants rather than just one intended animal. Through despite his powerful abilities, Kaili is always failing behind classes due to his indifferent and clueless attitude about school.

Havika Alama (Te Fiti): Dorm member of Coralidom, 3rd year. Havika along with his twin, Keahi, grew up in a small green island alone. Havika took up the mantle as a caring older brother to Keahi while simultaneously being chaotic and cheeky. Havika loves plants not as much as the next person, he takes care of the flora with great precision and care.

Keahi Alama (Te Ka): Dorm member of Coralidom, 3rd year. Keahi is a short-tempered fire hazard, the opposite of Havika’s caring demeanor. He’s destructive yet caring to those he love. He’s brash yet meek when faced with problems too difficult to be solved on his own.

RAMILJINN: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇ ᴏғ ᴛʜɪᴇᴠᴇs & ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅᴇɴ ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇss.

Ramiljinn is founded upon the famed Prince of Thief and the Spirited Princess’s value in worthiness. Ramiljinn’s students are full of wit and values flexibility and acrobatics. They excel in sports, flight, politics, and astrology. They are the first dorm to be founded upon the values of two people.

Jasim Al-Ahmad (Jasmine): Housewarden of Ramiljinn, 3rd year. The cold and sarcastic crown Prince of the Scalding Sands who has to find a wife one day. Anyone dares to be near him will face rejection, but if someone succeeds in befriending him, he will be the most trustworthy ally.

Namir Munsif (Raja the Tiger): Vice Housewarden of Ramiljinn, 2nd year. Jaseem’s bodyguard who is cold to outsiders but friendly to Jaseem and people close to Jaseem. They are childhood best friends who had to separated due to differences in status.

Ali Sahra (Aladdin): Dorm Member of Ramiljinn, 3rd year. A low class citizen of the Scalding Sands who is forced to steal to make a living. Ali is outgoing, cheerful, but deeply insecure his worth as a person. His unique magic “Anyone but Me” allows him to shape shift into another human being as long Ali knows how they look like.

Haris Qird (Abu): Dorm Member of Ramiljinn, 1st year. Childhood best friends of Ali and his constant thieving companion. Haris was abandoned in a sandstorm by his parents and Ali saved him from death. Ever since then he had always beside Ali.

Reti Inakaar (Sadira “TV series”): Dorm Member of Ramiljinn, 3rd year. Another street rat that Ali saved from hunger. Reti was eventually adopted from the street as the sons of two wealthy sand mages who can’t have kids and wanted to pass their legacy to others. Reti is a jealous and bitter person but he learns to be kind later on. Reti wishes to be Ali’s friends.

Idris Hariri (Carpet): Dorm Member of Ramiljinn, 2nd year. Idris is a fun-long guy with an optimistic mind. He loves flying and dreams to be a pilot one day, or ride on one of the world’s rarest transportations, a magic carpet, only preserved to the Al-Asim and the Al-Ahmad family.

POINAFEL: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇss ᴏғ ʙᴇᴀᴜᴛʏ

Poinafel is founded upon the Princess of Beauty’s spirit of compassion. It’s the oldest living dorm and founded Royal Sword Academy as a whole. Students of Poinafel excel in communications and inter-species languages.

Neige LeBlanche (Snow White): Housewarden of Poinafel, 2nd year. A popular actor and influencer. Neige has a naive personality and caring towards others to the point it could be overbearing. Despite facing constant rejection, he deeply wish to be friends with Vil.

Cedric Trein (Cinderella): Vice Housewarden of Poinafel, 2nd year. Modus Trein’s step son and an excellent fashion designer. Despite being diligent, Cedric always find himself late to every appointment.

Adelio Kharisma (Prince Charming - both from Snow White and Cinderella): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. The quiet and calm co-star of Neige and Vil and a star player of Royal Sword Academy’s Magic Shift team.

Jay Souris (Jaq): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 1st year. A fearless and quick-witted beastman from Shaftlands. After seeing Cedric in-person, he vows to be as good of a fashion designer as him.

Gareth Souris (Gus): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 1st year. A slow-witted beastman with an excessive appetite with little to no dreams. He doesn’t understand his brother’s wish to be a fashion designer but he will support his brother’s decisions.

Dominic (Doc the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. The intelligent and responsible eldest brother of the dwarfs. Despite being mocked for having a small stature and speech impediment, Dominic possess a sense of leadership that no one can deny.

Grum (Grumpy the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. Grum’s short tempered and cold personality drives people away and puts him down but his brothers never fail to bring him back up.

Shelpie (Sleepy the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. The drowsiest dwarf to ever exist, whenever someone would talk to him, it’s a guarantee that he would fall asleep through it.

Hop (Happy the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. Cheerful and friendly, Hop works as a guide for Royal Sword Academy transfer students due to his positive attitude towards everything.

Timmy (Bashful the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. Meek and quiet, Timmy has trouble making friends due to his anxiety and fear of being perceived as foolish.

Snick (Sneezy the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. The sickest of the brothers, Snick had had a weak body since born which made their brothers very protective over him.

Toby (Dopey the Dwarf): Dorm Member of Poinafel, 2nd year. The clumsy and foolish youngest brother and often find himself falling face to face with the floor numerous times.

OLYMPIA: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ sᴀᴠɪᴏʀ ᴏғ ᴏʟʏᴍᴘᴜs.

Olympia is founded upon the Savior of Olympus’ spirit of determination. From a nobody to someone, the Savior of Olympus teaches someone to be hardworking and humble. Students of Olympia excel in sports, flight, and/or practical magic.

Hektor Alithis-Aetos (Hercules): Housewarden of Olympia, 3rd year. The adopted son of Jupiter Conglomerate’s Leader and a star player of Royal Sword Academy’s Magic Shift team. Hektor is a people pleasing housewarden with little to no self preservation, yet people like him because of his cheerful and confident nature.

Perseus Sýnnefo (Pegasus): Vice Housewarden of Olympia, 3rd year. Son of a highly-respected worker in the Jupiter Conglomerate, though he’s a bit of a dunce. He tries his best to live up people’s expectations of him but fails to do so.

AURODALE: ʙᴀsᴇᴅ ᴏɴ ᴛʜᴇ sʟᴜᴍʙᴇʀɪɴɢ ᴘʀɪɴᴄᴇss.

Aurodale is founded upon the Sleeping Beauty’s spirit of grace. The graceful students of Aurodale are night owls and excel in curse analysis, history of magic, and practical magic. They are powerful swordsmans and mages.

Aurelian Dormir (Aurora): Housewarden of Aurodale, 3rd year. The crown prince of the Kingdom of Heroes with a charming and alluring air surrounding him. Aurelian is charming in the distance, but behind close doors, he’s afraid of people and despises socializing. Aurelian likes playing video games, is a frequent player of a fantasy game based on the Sleeping Beauty, and one of Idia’s online friend.

Felipe Chevalier (Prince Philip): Vice Housewarden of Aurodale, 3rd year. A hired bodyguard of Aurelian from Briar Valley who is apart of the top ten mages in Twisted Wonderland. Felipe is known to be a stubborn and full of love, he is outgoing and charming, yet secretive of his origins.

Oliver Forêt (Owl): Dorm Member of Aurodale, 1st year. Oliver is an outgoing member of Aurodale and is overly energetic. However his demeanor is like that to make sure his heritage as a fae is not known when most of the Aurodale members are from the Kingdom of Heroes.

Samulus Proulx (Sam the Horse): Dorm Member of Aurodale, 2nd year. Kingdom of Heroes’s guard in training. A faithful and valiant lad with admiration and irritation towards Felipe who would always surpass him at every opportunity.

Ollie Winter (Olaf): Dorm Member of Aurodale, 1st year. The playful and mischievous freshman who comes from a long line of ice fae lineage. He’s avoided by some of his dorm members because of his heritage as a fae.

Wuxing – the connections between the Five Dragon Kings (Ref) and the Five Elements philosophy 

To better understand the origins of the Five Dragon Kings and the ancient Chinese legend, it is worth mentioning the wuxing of natural philosophy, which states that all things are composed of five elements: fire, water, wood, metal and earth.

The underlying idea is that the five elements 'influence each other, and that through their birth and death, heaven and earth change and circulate'.  

The five elements are described as followed:

Wood/Spring: a period of growth, which generates abundant vitality, movement and wind.

Fire/Summer: a period of swelling, flowering, expanding with heat.

Earth is associated with ripening of grains in the yellow fields of late summer.

Metal/Autumn: a period of harvesting, collecting and dryness.

Water/Winter: a period of retreat, stillness, contracting and coolness.

The wuxing system, in use since the Han dynasty (2nd century BCE), appears in many seemingly disparate fields of early Chinese thought, including music, feng shui, alchemy, astrology, martial arts, military strategy, I Ching divination, and traditional medicine, serving as a metaphysics based on cosmic analogy.

The wuxing originally referred to the five major planets (Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury, Mars and Venus), which were thought of as the five forces that create life on earth. Wu Xing litterally means moving star and describes the five types of Qi (all the vital substances) cycles through various stages of transformation. As yin and yang continuously adjust to one another and transform into one another in a never-ending dance of harmony, they tend to do so in a predictable pattern.

The lists of correlations for the five elements are diverse, but there are two cycles explaining the major interaction. The yin-yang interaction, which by increasing or decreasing the qualities and functions associated with a particular phase, it may either nourish a phase that is in deficiency or drain a phase that is in excess or restrain a phase that is exerting too much influence (see below):

The Huainanzi (2nd BCE) describes the five colored dragons (azure/green, red, white, black, yellow) and their associations (Chapter 4: Terrestrial Forms), as well as the placement of sacred beasts in the five directions (the Four Symbols beasts, dragon, tiger, bird, tortoise in the four cardinal directions and the yellow dragon.

五行とは文字通り「動く星」を意味し、五種類の気（生命維持に必要なすべての物質）が様々な変容の段階を経て循環することを表している。陰と陽は絶え間なく互いに調整し合い、調和の終わりのないダンスで互いに変化していくため、予測可能なパターンで変化する傾向がある。

五行の相関関係は多様だが、主要な相互作用を説明する2つのサイクルがある。陰陽の相互作用は、特定の相に関連する資質や機能を増減させることで、不足している相に栄養を与えたり、過剰な相を排出したり、影響力を及ぼしすぎている相を抑制したりする (以下参照):

相生（陽）のサイクル

『淮南子』（紀元前2世紀）には、五色の龍（紺碧・緑、赤、白、黒、黄）とその関連性 (第4章: 地の形)、五方位への聖獣の配置（四枢の四象徴獣、龍、虎、鳥、亀、黄龍）が記述されている。

Happy Pride Month! To celebrate, have some pride headcanons + a fair few canon canons for the Investigation Institute ^^ Nine characters. So many colors. So many references. I gave up on shading because that would’ve taken even LONGER. I did not eat while I was drawing this, I was so FOCUSED.

Hope it was worth it! If it wasn’t, uh. I drew my Institute designs for the first time, that was pretty cool ^^ (And if you don’t recognize some of the flags—I gotcha covered. Starts from center, then we go clockwise starting from the top!)

Cherrlyio (aka Cory) was like the first time we saw it and said again: "That kinda looks like Li Jing, you know, The one MK is attacking." And I was also like the first time we saw it and said again: "Hmm, are you sure?? I don't know, it could be, but who knows? It's so blurry." Cory: "Well, maybe.. I guess it could be something else, but still." Me: "Fair enough."

So yeah... THIS MIGHT NOT BE LI JING AFTER ALL!!!??

It could just be that the angle turned after that first picture we see the Black Tortoise in, where it is behind the kneeling Mk.

Because, it is not behind MK any longer, in the scene where he is seemingly attacking it.

And it could even be in this scene too-!

Where - in that case - we see Sandy seemingly attacking it??

The Black Tortoise is one of Four Mythological Creatures that appear in Chinese Philosophy/Astrology.

It is usually represented with a snake coiled around it's body, but I mean - We haven't gotten one good look at it in the trailer, so that doesn't mean it can't be what we saw in LMK

These characters are wearing White Tiger accessories AND holding an Azure Dragon, instead of an red-gold Dragon that is usually held during Chinese Lunar New Year, which this could very well be..?

Even if it actually IS a thing to use Azure Dragons too, it IS a little suspicious they BOTH have an Azure Dragon and things that represents a WHITE TIGER..?

I'm pretty sure orange tigers is more usual too, just like red-gold Dragon is more common in China as well.

J-4 The Gross Case of the Garbage Can

This is the episode where Blue spends the entire duration in a trash can. If this were a real cartoon, it'd be 11 minutes of this. Be glad it isn't!

Our dear Astrologer Azure

I know Bishop comes first in the book and is on the website, but Astrologer is the main face in the cartoon because she's one of Irratino's besties and overall such a cutie <3

DON'T READ THE EPISODES WITHOUT READING THE BOOKS!!

The blue child is crammed inside the trash can in the hallway, folded into a position no vertebrate should ever be in. But she knows in her gut the pencil is in here… even if it’s all smelly and moist and in a condition no one would ever want. But Sterling’s kind of an idiot, she thinks. He’ll take it anyway.

There’s a beautiful envelope right on top. Blue forces herself upside down to open it, thrusting her giant head into squishy darkness. She whines. Ripping open the envelope reveals an unpaid bill for Principal Applegreen. 

She reaches deep into the slosh. Something rod-shaped - the answer! She yanks it out, and it’s… a banana stem. A really old one too. It smacks in her face, smothering her with unidentified slime! She struggles not to shed a tear - she still has to hide from the principal. 

This trash can is way bigger on the inside - like to an absurd degree. Blue is, of course, instinctively good at swimming. But not through trash. And yet here she is, all to retrieve a 50 cent pencil for an obnoxious gingerbread boy that she doesn’t even care about. 

Finally, she touches the grimy bottom. Feeling around, pretending her hands aren’t numb from germs, she finds nothing. Not a single pencil. It’s really hard to write interestingly about a kid stuck in the garbage.

“Swimming” all the way to the surface, she gasps for oxygen, getting who-knows-what in her mouth. The can falls over, and she collapses, ready to give up. But then there was a used tissue behind it. She picks it up, and… slightly greasy from someone’s snot… there it is! THE pencil! 

BLUE: EUREKA!!!

That catches the attention of Lapis right away.

LAPIS: What do you think you’re DOING. BLUE: None of your business!

Lapis is about to burst a swollen eye.

LAPIS: No mortal will SPEAK TO ME IN THIS WAY!! 

She grabs Blue, without a care for how filthy she is, and storms down the hallway.

LAPIS: If God will not punish you… I know who will!!

The end!
