Dorcas is google docs. The most reliable source for group tasks, easy to use, you can connect from different dispositives too... However, there's a strange beef with word.
Marlene uses word. Every. Single. Time. She saw a tiktok with a google docs full of good lesbian series recommendations and now she doesn't know how to uninstall it from her phone, so well, she has to use it at least, right?

im sorry but i need to geek out somewhere and screaming into the void on tumblr is less likely to get me flayed than on twitter, especially if i get terms wrong. plus i can do a read more and yall can click into the tech talk if you want to verse it bombarding your twitter timelines
so idk if i only liked it or if i actually put it in my queue but i saw a post that talked about a few pieces of tech that focus on user repairs and being sustainable (fairphone and frameworks laptop) and after doing some more research into what they have to offer i actually really excited that these products are finely hitting the us market and that people are moving away from the belief that super smooth streamlined glassy = the future. being able to reliably repair and keep what you have alive verse throwing the whole thing away when maybe all you needed to do is add more ram to your current laptop (something that i would do with my laptop to keep using it for a few more years if it wasnt glued shut and i was at risk of cracking the screen) or swap out a fuse.
i know big corporations dont like it but i truly do believe with how much tech we use on a daily basis that the way that we are going to be more environmentally friendly is to move back to tech that we can hang onto for as long as we can and to recycle and then reuse what we cant. like with the frameworks laptop. i saw that they just partnered with coolermaster to create a case specifically so that you can reuse you motherboard, cpu, etc and make a portable workstation. you could dual wield with the laptop you just upgraded if you want to dedicate specific tasks to one or the other. they also specifically mentioned that you could screw it into the back of a monitor and create your own all in one. guys thats cool as shit??? if you had a 3d printer and some time you could even create that yourself
on top of the actual hardware part moving to open source programs when your able. when i update my desktop i plan on running linux. it might have a learning curve compared to windows but in terms of performance??? ive heard that it runs smoother even on older machines, that its more efficient because isnt running stuff in the background that tracks your data and shit. now i understand that not everyone can do that because there are some programs that dont play nice with linux but for my needs at least it does everything i would need it to. and maybe a couple years down the road we do figure out how to run these programs on certain flavors of linux since its open source and people fiddle with it so much. (still looking for alternatives to like word and excel though, i use google docs since its free but i want to move away from them as much as i can too since they laid of their youtube music team (i believe?? it might of been a different branch) for trying to unionize)
if anyone knows of any other smaller companies that actually focus on sustainability and user repairability please let me know. theres certain pieces of tech that i think are now unfortunately behind a software repair paywall, things that used to be just machines and are gaining more bells and whistles like cars and refrigerators if that makes sense. but the more we push for these things to be repairable by us the consumers id hope that would change, or there would at least be options that dont need specific companies to repair them or else they blow up

Assorted Mike Thoughts
been discussing/workshopping the differences between @fivenightsatfreddysfanfiction's mike schmidt and this au's take on him (thanks to @mangleschmidt for listening to me yap 😁) and i think my ideas are solid/interesting enough that you guys would like to hear!
WHY THE CHANGE?
i've pretty consistently struggled with writing mike for lucasverse. he felt too nice, too level-headed, restrained himself too much; or on the opposite end, too distant, too hands-off, too cold. it felt like i couldn't grasp the character laid out in parlourverse. theoretically, i knew what made pv!mike tick, his quirks of personality and his tone of voice, but i could never quite put it to paper (or google docs)
so, after another deep dive into the parlourblog looking for info and inspiration, something avec said made me pause. i think it was something about listening to your characters, letting them take you where they want to go, even if it's not where you originally thought you'd end up. well, i listened! and i think i'm pretty happy with where my mike and i are. hope you like him too!
AS A SYMBOL
lv!mike started really branching off from parlourverse after i started thinking about pv!mike's "guilt of the 6th" title. pv!mike gets it from being the survivor of the bite of 87, that guilt he doesn't know he has being compounded by the guilt of him failing the night guards under his watch. but it got me thinking: in lucasverse, mike isn't the (only) one with guilt on his hands, or even the one most concerned with the weight of that guilt—it's Lucas! lucas's entire motivations are fueled and driven by guilt, past and present. with the story i have, i felt it was far more appropriate to pass the title onto him instead.
this left me with a dilemma: if lv!mike doesn't have guilt, what Does he have? this had me pretty stuck. i ended up working on other characters, figuring them out, and occasionally trying to see mike through their eyes. as i did, i started noticing one common thread—mike brought them Hope! the gears started turning and turning in my head, and then it just clicked into place. pv!jeremy is the "hope of the 7th"; for reasons i can't get into (but perhaps you can guess), lv!jeremy was never one of the intended victims. but what if mike's strength to survive brought hope to others? what if he was the "hope of the 6th"?
this revelation kickstarted a new trajectory for lv!mike as i worked through the questions in my head: what does hope mean, in mike's case? well, hope could be something that he clings to for survival—getting to buy doll a ring, for example—but hope can also be something that blinds him from danger—seeing the best in lucas and trusting in him despite warning signs. okay, so what gives him this hope? perhaps a desperation to believe in a good, or at least, better life/living situation; a need to believe in someone reliable, a shoulder to lean on when things get tough. then how does it his relationship with others? maybe mike tries to be the best for them, goes the extra mile for them, doesn't let them see the worst so they can keep their own hope; likewise, he becomes reluctant to believe the worst of the people he trusts implicitly, the people who give Him hope.
i'd like to think that this isn't so much a rewriting of pv!mike as it is a shifting of the camera, looking at mike schmidt from a new angle. even jeremy could easily have the weight of guilt on him—sins of the father and all that—which is what makes this take on mike exciting to me. hyping myself up and all 😁
AS A PERSON
another hurdle i faced was the very real fact that environment around you often changes who you become, and lv!mike's environment was certainly significantly changed from parlourverse. the first and most obvious was the inclusion of lucas—he's in the au's name after all!—and his friendship with mike. you may remember a relationship web i made where mike has, well, kind of a "nothing" opinion towards lucas. in the moment, it was mostly because i thought the contrast between their opinions of each other was hilarious (it still is), but the more lv!mike developed in my head, the more it just didn't feel right anymore.
the way i see it: when lucas and mike met, they were both extremely desperate any sort of social foundation. lucas was just fresh off of scott's death, someone he looked up to and latched onto as a friend and father, and suddenly tasked with the burden of saving his not-quite-dead friends; in my backstory, mike was disowned for his relationship with doll, a late paycheck away from being homeless, desperate to secure this job after being turned away constantly for his disability. their relationship would've been awkward and rocky at first—overeager, passionate lucas and gruff, wary mike—but to me, it only makes sense that they would've seen each other as, really, the only friend they each had. they're a team: mike and lucas, lucas and mike.
this friendship would've changed them both, for better and maybe a little worse. in lucasverse's fnaf 1 arc, mike is definitely a lot closer in personality to his parlourverse counterpart. i feel as though pv!mike's prickliness is definitely enforced by his isolation from anyone he can really talk to or trust (at least before jeremy, where he opens up considerably and his edges soften). in lucasverse, i imagine that process happening much earlier: lucas's careful restraint helping to cool down mike's aggravated temper, and mike's sharp wit and judgement giving lucas a boost in confidence.
during the start of their friendship, they take cues from each other equally, though i think the changes in mike are more drastically obvious than in lucas. for one, lv!mike's relationship with the old fazband is definitely far less antagonistic than pv!mike and his fazband. while mike never fully becomes comfortable around them, i feel as though lucas's unwavering affection/enthusiasm towards his "kids" ends up swaying mike, in that "i don't really get or like this thing that much, but if you like it, it's gotta have some merit" way. (the rest of the fazbear fanboying is still weird, though.) additionally, i think lucas has somehow gotten mike to cut down heavily on the swearing. this is a children's establishment, michael. yes, even when the animatronics are around. they're impressionable.
by the time the fnaf 2 arc rolls around, though, i imagine the balance between them has shifted from equality to weighing in lucas's favor. it's not just that he's the (assistant) manager now, it's not just that faith is in the mix—mike trusts lucas completely. why wouldn't he? that's his friend: they talk shit during breaks, goof off after hours, lucas buys him a beer now and then and grounds him when his memory fogs. and mike is the only one lucas trusts to take the night shift now, with all these night guards breaking the rules, tampering with the animatronics or running off without a word.
when you become so used to relying on someone you stop listening to yourself. you become complacent. and when you already doubt your own mind, well... all the easier to let them help you out. you trust them, right? by the time mike meets jeremy, i think he's fully in a state of autopiloting his way through life. he's comfortable. sure, he's working two shifts, but that's just extra money he can save up to get out of this place, this town, this state. for right now, he's settled in his little status-quo bubble. keep hopeful for the future; don't think about the present. don't think about what you've been sweeping under the carpet.
jeremy is the wake-up call. jeremy is smack upside the head that tells mike to pay attention. jeremy is the tearing apart of status quo. jeremy says, "is this what you want to do with your life? is this the kind of person you want to stay as?" jeremy breaks rules to get where he needs to be, stumbles and shoves his way towards the truth, lights the fire of determination because it doesn't matter how much hope you have if you don't claw and drag yourself bleeding to reach it. mike's relationship with jeremy is a stark contrast to his relationship with lucas: jeremy challenges mike constantly, is a pain in mike's ass and lights a fire under it. mike both keeps jeremy at arm's length—a trainee rather than a son—but is still driven by him. lucas tells mike what he wants to hear; jeremy makes mike question himself, realize that the person you need to trust most is your own self.
and what if your own self is the one trying to keep secrets from you? faith and mike are so inseparable and yet they never truly meet; heads and tails of a coin that can't twist to see itself. it's honestly ironic that so much of their relationship is built around faith's Lack of faith in mike: not trusting him with his own memories, with his own body, with his own life. in a way, faith is the final obstacle mike has to face before he can become fully realized as a person. ah well, at risk of spoiling the story, mike and faith will have to figure out life without the other in some very traumatic ways. but i have... Faith in them. eh? eh??? was that mike-worthy? i'm writing this all in one sitting and it's 4am
and with this, i finally come to the end of my very long series of thoughts. if you're reading this, feel free to let me know what you think! send me an ask, dm me, join the parlourverse discord to yell at me there, send anon hate, whatever! ummmm have some bonus art of side characters i haven't drawn yet. see if you can guess their names!*
*fritz, iris the journalist, and scott. you'll meet the first two eventually! rip scott

H&L first draft (4k words)
Remember this was supposed to be a four-part little story in the beginning and then it turned out to be something more. I found this little thing in my google docs and I just wanted to share the first draft with you. This takes place after the first chapter and they have the movie night then, not 7 chapters and 70k later, oops)
Now, Simon is sitting next to Wilhelm at Manor House, their shoulders are brushing and his side is tingling from the touch alone. He doesn't have a choice but to sit with him because that is the only place available. It is not like a punishment, of course. Deep down inside, he is over the moon to see that he has to sit there. He is playing a dangerous game. He could have easily changed seats with Sara but he doesn't. Wilhelm said he saved this spot for him, but he was probably kidding, right?
They are watching a horror movie now. Wille clutches to his leg after a jump scare. This party prince who gets into fights in bars is scared of a movie? He can't believe he could be this cute. It was one fight, though, if he was being fair. Simon realizes that what he knows about him and what they say about Wilhelm in these newspapers and on TV are not completely true. He has been so judgmental toward him since the beginning. But he can't trust people easily; life didn't teach him otherwise. So it is understandable.
Wilhelm leaves his hand on his leg and glances at him briefly before turning back to the movie. Simon is almost sure Wilhelm doesn't care about the movie at all. Is he nervous too? Then he brushes his pinkie with his, turning to look at him in the eye again with the cutest smile. He doesn't stop the motion. Can someone forget how to breathe? That doesn't seem possible but Simon can't be sure now.
Wilhelm keeps eye contact and holds Simon's hand in his, intertwining their fingers. He still pretends to watch the movie. He keeps brushing Simon's hand with his thumb. It all happens so fast but Simon can't take it anymore. He is going to fall hard if he doesn't do something. It is not something he can afford. He will be left with a broken heart after all.
Simon gets up and leaves again. It is too much. It probably doesn't mean anything to Wilhelm anyway. Simon shakes his head and laughs to himself. Of course, something as simple as handholding doesn't mean anything to him. Simon is the only one who reads too much into things. A simple glance, a cute smile coming his way, the way Wilhelm always takes the seat closest to him, the way he listens to him so attentively when he is speaking. It all must be for the show.
He goes and sits on the window sill, opening the window all the way. Wilhelm comes after him after only a few minutes. To say that Simon is surprised is an understatement.
"Are you okay?" Wilhelm asks tentatively.
"Yes. I just wanted to have some fresh air." he lies, sitting still, not moving to look up at him.
"Are you sure?" he asks again, Simon stutters because he is not okay. He is scared. Very scared. And it is too late anyway. Wille rubs his knee briefly and pulls his hand as if it were burned, his eyes going big at the touch.
"Was that too much? Did I cross a line?" he asks with a panicked face. He retreats a few steps back, to give Simon some space. Simon already missed the proximity. And he is taken aback, too. He kinda guessed Wille was not what he seemed anymore. He is actually so sweet and thoughtful. He might not be the entitled prince Simon thinks he is. He seems so, at least.
He is trying to form an answer, to say that he didn't cross a line and Simon wanted to hold his hand too. He didn't know it but he, deep down, wanted Wilhelm to follow him here.
He wants to tell him he is scared and Wilhelm is not exactly reliable. He doesn't want to be a fling. Okay, maybe the prince is attracted to him but that doesn't mean anything. He wants to say he is wary. He is the party prince, for all he knows. He can't trust him yet. He wants to say it without sounding so hurtful. He doesn't want to stop talking to him. Wilhelm mistakes his silence for something else.
"I am sorry. I thought... I am so sorry." Wilhelm says and turns to leave.
"Wilhelm." he calls after him. And he stops in his tracks but he doesn't turn around yet.
"Let's forget about what happened earlier. We can start over. We can be… We can be just friends." he says.
"You want to be friends?" Wilhelm asks.
"Yeah, why not?"
"I don't want to be your friend, Simon." he says flatly. Does he sound so hurt? No, he doesn’t. There is no way.
"Okay." he says. He regrets having ever suggested it. Of course, he doesn't want to be his friend. “I wasn’t expecting you to be.” Simon says sadly. “I knew it. I knew you just wanted to hook up and now you don’t have it your way and you act like this.”
“What,” Wille stutters. “I just wanted to hook up with you? Is this really what you really think of me?” Wille asks and his voice sounds so broken and agitated.
“What else am I supposed to think?”
"You really don't get it, do you?" Wilhelm asks, shaking his head in disbelief and hurt.
"What?"
"You really don't." Wilhelm says, trying hard to believe it. "You were right about one thing. I was being so delusional. You were just being friendly and I thought… You still call me Wilhelm. What was I thinking?" he says, shaking his head in disbelief.
"That's your name. Everybody calls you that." Simon says, confused.
"Exactly. Everybody calls me that. You are not everybody. But that doesn't really matter anymore." he says sadly.
"What are you saying?" Simon asks.
"Nothing. Good night, Simon." he says and he leaves. He leaves for the first time without waiting for a reply. Simon wants to stop him. He can't. He just looks at Wille's retreating figure. He doesn't understand anything right now. He should go after him and demand answers. What did he mean? What does Simon not get? What is he talking about? Did he misunderstand him the whole time? When he said he didn't want to be Simon's friend, did he mean he wanted to be something more? What the hell just happened?
Wille is already out of his line of vision, while Simon is still lost in thought. Sara calls him to tell him that their mom is already here to pick them up. He is going to ask his questions after the weekend.
He wanted to comment on Wille's cute blue soft pyjama bottoms, with white heart doodles on them, the whole night. Do party princes dress like that? Simon would have liked to know how it would feel. Maybe he will take a leap of faith and give him a chance. If it is not already too late.
***
Wille ignores him next Monday. Just when he leaves the music room after school, he runs into Wille, who looks like he is caught red-handed. Was he watching him play the whole time? Why didn't he say hi? Playing would be an overstatement, though. He was fighting for his life to play the notes. He probably looked so dumb. He guesses Wille knows how to play the piano. He must know. What kind of prince doesn't know how to play the piano?
"Can we talk?" Simon asks.
"I have a class. I gotta go." Wille says and he leaves. Look at the turntables, Simon thinks.
*
Wille gets dressed quickly in the locker room after the practice and leaves again. Simon tried to make eye contact but Wille didn't budge. He avoids him the whole week. He doesn't come to the practice in the gym and Simon waits for him patiently until the last minute. He hears from August that Wille said he is sick and he can't make it. Simon is only worried for a second, then he realizes it is just an excuse to avoid him again. Simon considers going to his room to have a talk. Why is he so stubborn?
*
He sees him before the parents’ lunch the next day.
"Why are you avoiding me?" he asks, straight to the point.
"I am not. Now if you excuse me, August is waiting for me outside." he says and leaves. Simon huffs in annoyance and goes outside to meet his mother. He sees Wille pose for the pictures from afar, and he is grinning like August is the funniest person in the world. The guy takes a couple of pictures of them and Wille drops the mask he is wearing immediately after they are done. He starts talking on the phone, more like pretending to be, and heads for the dorms. Simon is about to follow him but his mom and Sara call after him so he meets them and they make their way to the dining hall for lunch. Wille can't escape from him forever.
*
They take a seat with Felice and her parents. He is glad that Sara found a friend here. They start eating and they are having an easy conversation. Sara talks about horses nonstop, and everybody listens to her very carefully. It warms Simon's heart. Then he sees Wille enter the room and every head turns to him, of course. Felice gets up from her seat and waves to Wille and Wille doesn't look happy to be noticed.
"Wilhelm, please join us." she says after Wille approaches them.
"Please, have a seat." Felice's mother adds, pointing to the empty space near Simon. Wille takes a seat at the head of the table, visibly upset that he had to join them. Simon realizes nobody but him notices his discomfort. It is probably because nobody knows what happened between them. Wille has a casual, small talk with Felice and her parents and asks them how they are doing. They ask Wille if he likes Hillerska, what he has been up to and such. Wille gives polite answers, and Simon doubts his honesty. Wille doesn't look his way at all, even though they so close. He turns to his mom and introduces himself like a perfect gentleman.
"We haven't been introduced. I am Wilhelm." he says, holding out his hand to shake his mother's hand.
"Linda." his mom says, holding her hand too. "I was starting to think everyone knew each other except me."
"Nice to meet you, Linda." he says. "Now you know me." he says and his mom starts smiling. Of course, Wille managed to charm his mother. But he is avoiding Simon at the moment. How dare he?
"Are you all friends? They never tell me anything anymore. Teenagers." Linda laughs and the other parents join her.
"That's not true." Sara interjects. "I have told you about Felice." she adds. Yeah, Simon never said anything about Wille. What was he supposed to say? Wille looks upset again. Simon wants to drag him by his arm in the middle of lunch.
"Yeah, she mentioned your name." Linda laughs. "Once or twice."
"Why do you embarrass me?" Sara laughs too.
"Are you two friends?" she says, turning to Simon and Wille. Simon coughs a little and drinks some water. Wille answers instead.
"We share a few classes together." he explains. Ouch.
"They are also on the rowing team." Felice adds. And Wille looks at her, more like sending daggers but she doesn't care.
"I am not on the team, though. I don't know what I am doing most of the time." Simon corrects.
"He is selling himself short. He is really good at it for a beginner." Wille says, looking at him for the first time and goes back to eating. Can they pick up on the tension between them? Simon wonders if this fancy knife can cut this tension. "He also helped me with math. I got a high score thanks to him. Though he had the highest score in class." Wille says, addressing Linda. "You must be really proud." he adds. Simon snaps his head back at Wille, taken aback by his words.
"I am." she says. "I am proud of both of them." She adds and Sara groans in embarrassment and Simon is no different. He moves in his chair awkwardly, and his knee brushes with Wille's and he freezes for a second. Wille is the same. He looks at him with panicked eyes, the same as on movie night. He wipes his mouth with his napkin and excuses himself.
"Sorry, I remembered I had to make a phone call. Thank you for inviting me to your table." he says. He gets up and leaves. What a bullshit excuse. Simon is really annoyed. How can he keep his manners when he has been avoiding Simon for a week? Does he pretend all the time? He waits for two minutes to go after him. He announces that he is going to the bathroom. Way to be subtle, Simon. Nobody would get suspicious. Felice catches his glance and smiles to herself. What does she think is happening exactly?
He goes toward where Wille has disappeared. He is actually talking on the phone. Maybe not everything is about himself.
***
Some unsaved number calls him when he is sleeping. He doesn't realize it's Wille's number with sleepy eyes. Wille had messaged him once, asking why he was not coming to rowing practice. He didn't reply. He wanted to. Would Wille come to Bjärstad if he asked him? But he couldn't ask him. Giving him a chance went out of the window again just because he got flustered and nervous.
"Simon. Simon. Simon. Are you there?" a voice asks.
"Wille, is that you?" Simon asks, looking at the number again. Yes, it is him.
"I like you, Simon. I really like you. Why don't you like me?" he says, slurring his words a little.
"Are you drunk?" Simon asks, his heart beating out of his chest. Both because he is scared that Wille is not okay and because his confession makes him a puddle. He never straight up told him that. Maybe he is saying that because he is under the influence. It doesn't mean anything. “A drunk mind speaks of a sober heart,” he thinks. But no, he won't get carried away.
"Yes, only a little." he giggles. Simon's heart soars, that is such a beautiful sound.
"Where are you? Are you safe?" he says, panicked.
"I am in my room, on my bed. Yes, I am safe. Are you worried about me?" he asks, sounding excited. "But you don't like me." he finishes sadly. Simon thinks, “If only you knew how wrong you are.” That's not the time, though. That needs to happen face to face, if Simon doesn't chicken out.
"Do you have water near you? Drink lots of water, okay?" he says. He knows what to do in these situations, sadly.
"I have. I will. You are sweet. So so sweet, Simon." Wille says. Does he sound dreamy? Simon wants to go to him right now. He wants to tell him. "Simon. Simon. Simon. Even your name sounds so sweet." Wille says. Simon is about to combust. His name is really sweet, yes but only because it is dripping from Wille's lips. He wants to hear his name on his lips in person, preferably while he is kissing him. He knows Wille is drunk but he sounds so genuine and real. Simon won't be able to hold back anymore.
"Good night, Simon. I am sleepy." he says.
"Good night, Wille." Simon says softly. "Sleep on your side, okay? Just in case you throw up. Not on your back." he adds.
"Okay, Simon. Thank you." he says, sleep oozing out of his voice. "Simon, Simon, Simon." he says again fondly. Does he try to kill him? "I even like your name so much. You know what's funny? It means listening. Your name... It means listening. I looked it up but you don't listen to me. You always run away." he laughs. Simon laughs too because Wille laughs and because he thought Wille would forget his name, but he looked up what his name means. He is going insane, holding the phone like a lifeline. He is so stupid because of him already. "I like you and that's not fake, Simon. I don't know how to make you understand that. Maybe, you do but you don't just like me. It is okay. I think I need to accept that now." he says. And Simon wants to object but he wants to tell him in person. He is drunk anyway. "Good night. I am gonna go now." he says and the line goes silent. But Simon's thoughts don't. He probably won't be able to sleep until tomorrow. Until he sees Wille tomorrow.
***
He wants to catch him before he leaves his room. He didn't go in when he dropped him off at his party but he knows his room. He knocks on the door. Wille opens it, not looking as presentable as he always does.
"Hey." Simon says softly.
"Hey." Wille says, not looking in the eye.
"How are you?" he asks.
"Not bad. I didn't drown on my own puke, if that is what you were asking." Wille says. He sounds cold, and Simon wants to turn back and go but he doesn't.
"Do you have a headache? Maybe you should take an aspirin." Simon says.
"I am fine, thanks. You didn't have to come all the way here to check up on me. Sorry for making you deal with me yesterday. I need to go to class now. So I have to get dressed if you excuse me." he says and tries to walk away, closing the door.
"Wait, wait, wait." Simon is the one who stops him this time, holding him on his arm. Wille freezes and he finally looks at him, surprised and maybe ashamed.
"The classes don't start for about half an hour. We have time. I have to tell you something." Simon says, enters the room without getting an invite and closes the door. Wille looks at the closed door and Simon in his small room slowly, back and forth, clearly puzzled.
"I know we still have time, Simon. I don't want to hear what you're going to say now." he says with a long sigh.
"Why are you running away?" he asks. "That's usually my brand." he laughs but Wille doesn't laugh. If anything, he looks sadder. "You don't even know what I am going to say." he says.
"You don't have to." he sighs. "Okay, Simon, I get it. You made yourself really clear, like the whole time but I didn't want to see it. You don't like me. I never wanted you to feel uncomfortable. I am not some asshole who doesn't take no for an answer. I just thought you also… Never mind what I thought." he says, sounding exhausted. "When I woke up, I remembered that I called you last night. I am surprised you didn't hang up on me. I don't know what we talked about for 20 minutes. It is still blurry."
"So you don't remember what you told me last night." Simon says, a little disappointed.
"Of course I do. I don't have to remember what I might have told you last night. It is only what I am always trying to tell you the whole time. Anyway, thanks for trying to take care of me. You didn't have to, but you did. I don't know why. It is probably only because you are the only person who is genuinely nice without having an agenda. Unlike what you thought about me, people being obsessed with me only because I have a title is the last thing I want. If you wanted to get to know me, the real me, you would know that. But clearly, you don't. So, I don't need to hear you tell me you don't want me. I like you but you don't like me back. It is as simple as that. I get it now. I am going to stop." he says sadly.
"What if I don't want you to?" Simon says with a small smile. “What if I don't want you to stop?”
"What?!" Wille asks, baffled.
"You heard me, Wille." he smiles.
"Oh." he smiles shyly.
"Yeah." he says.
"Not Wilhelm?"
"No, not anymore."
"Oh. This is the first time you..." he says with a blush.
"Not the first time. You probably don't remember our whole conversation last night." Simon smiles.
"Oh, probably not." he laughs.
"I am glad you remember most of it, though." he smiles.
"Did I wake you up last night? Were you sleeping when I called?"
"Yes, I was but I didn't mind. I am glad you were okay." he says, playing with his fingers nervously.
"Thank you for taking care of me again. I am still sorry for calling you at such an inappropriate hour."
"Don't worry about it." Simon says.
"Are you sure?”
“Yes.”
"So… What exactly did you mean earlier? When you said you don't want me to stop." he asks timidly. "Does that mean you like me?"
"Yes, I do."
"I like you, too."
"I know." he laughs. "You told me last night. A couple of times, actually."
"Did I embarrass myself that much last night?" he asks, averting his eyes, with bashful smile.
"Only a little. You said you liked my name."
"Oh. I mean, I do. So…" he says.
"And you looked up what my name means. And you were complaining about me not listening to you." he says and Wille groans in embarrassment.
"It was sweet." Simon continues.
"Really?"
"Yes, but not you getting drunk."
"August invited me and offered me beer. I am a lightweight, actually. Don't tell anyone. I have a reputation to uphold." he smiles.
***
"Umm, are you free tonight?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Is there another football match we can go to?"
"How do you know I went to a game?" Simon asks, raising one eyebrow. "Did you stalk me?"
"No." Wille says, like a child caught red-handed.
"You are so lame."
"Only a little. Maybe, you can show me around Bjärstad tonight. What do you say?"
"Are you trying to make me ask you for a date?"
"Umm, kinda. I don't know this area very well so it doesn't make sense if I invite you to hang out in your own neighbourhood. And I can't invite you to hang out at school, can I?"
"I thought you would invite me to your room." Simon says suggestively.
"Umm, I am not like that. I am not like how they write about me in those newspapers. I like partying, yes but I am not hooking up with someone different every night. I am not judging anyone who does but I am saying I am not like that. You know that now, right?"
"Yeah, I can see it now. Why don't you deny those rumors, though?"
"They will believe whatever they want to believe. I just stopped trying."
"Oh, that sounds annoying."
"It is annoying. I don't care what anyone thinks anymore. I am just trying to live my life. That's why I wanted to come out. It took some time to convince my mom."
"Did you have to convince her, for you to come out?"
“Kinda, yes.”
"I am sorry for judging you. And not giving you a chance to get to know you."
"It is okay. I probably didn't leave an impression for you to think otherwise. I might come off a little pushy and cocky."
"A little, yes. But you are not either of those things. So why did you?"
"I don't know. I wanted to impress you; I was trying to seem suave and confident. After your comment in class, I thought if I were myself, you would think I was a loser."
"So you thought you should act like an entitled asshole because I basically called you an entitled asshole?" Simon laughs.
"Not my brightest moment." Wille laughs back.
"But you were right."
"About what?"
"That I wanted to get your attention in that class."
"Oh, okay."
"And I wanted to kiss you, too. In your initiation party. And I still want to, probably since the whole time." Simon says and Wille blushes so beautifully.
"But we need to go on a date first." he says with a smile and walks away, looking back at Wille, who is still frozen in his place. Wille chases him again.
“How about today?”
“Sure.”
"Okay. What time?"
"I will text you." Simon says.
"Okay. Great. Can't wait." Wille says excitedly, rushing to get the words out. Simon's heart is doing somersaults.
"You are not going to try to kiss me now?"
"You said date first." Wille says, raising his eyebrows, looking blank and confused.
His mouth slowly start to turn up at the corners. Simon couldn’t be more wrong in his life.
And they were gonna have their date in Bjarstad and their first kiss was gonna be in front of Simon's house in the rain when Wille was dropping him off. I even thought about interrupting their kiss in Wille's room in ch7 but I knew you would find me and kill me so I changed it :D also keep in mind that they don't know much about each other in this draft and I really liked that I changed it in the current version.
#young royals#wilmon#honey and lemon#yr fic#btw i feel like people didn't like ch8 that much#i hope i am wrong#if you are reread h&l please free to comment again bc it makes me so happy#sorry again for updating twice a year :(

Author Question Tag Game Thing
Thank you so much for the tag @siancore! 💕
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
60
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
457,340
3. What fandoms do you write for?
SamBucky
4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
Pretend We're Real (Until We Are) So, This is Jealously The Winter Soldier Enjoys Baseball Take Care Focus on You
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
Yes. I get too excited not to.
6. What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Really, I only write happy endings but I guess I'll say The Night Hell Freezes Over because even though things work out in the end, it's just a road of angst until the very end.
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Maybe I'll say Heartless Hunk of Metal because it's a fairytale AU so it feels like more was at stake and they had to work harder to get there.
8. Do you get hate on fics?
I would say I've only gotten some stern criticism. I've made some honest mistakes purely from lack of knowledge/awareness but I've been lucky that people haven't been brutally hateful when criticizing.
9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Yes, too much. Recently, I've actually calmed down and started writing (hopefully) elegant alludes to smut but in the beginning, almost every story had very long smut scenes or was all smut. I would say all my smut is usually emotional/sensual and sometimes I dabble in kinks lol. I'd like to write kinkier stuff but I'm nervous.
10. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
No, it's probably because I become obsessed with one fandom/paring at a time and strictly write for them until I move on.
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I know of.
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
I think so. A couple people have left comments asking if they could but I never followed up to ask for a link so I haven't seen them.
13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No.
14. What’s your all time favorite ship?
SamBucky.
15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Maybe the Avengers party where Bucky will get drunk on Asgardian mead. It sounds like a simple story but it's been sitting in my docs forever.
16. What are your writing strengths?
I'd like to say I'm good at dialogue and characterization (at least of the mains)
17. What are your writing weaknesses?
Action for sure. Anything that requires research, I'm so lazy sometimes it's the whole reason I don't write a certain story. And lastly, complex plot points. I struggle with writing lengthy, intricate multi-chapter fics.
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in fic?
I'm scared of this. Sometimes I want to but I know Google Translate isn't always reliable and I don't know any other language well enough.
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Friends. It's the only other fandom I've written for. Was obsessed until I moved on to SamBucky. We'll see how long this one lasts :)
20. Favourite fic you’ve written?
I usually go with So, This is Jealously since I'm proud of a lot of things within that story.
No pressure, tagging: @wilsonsb4be, @princeofbadassery @abarbaricyalp @six2vii @thatmexisaurusrex

For the Pokemon meme- 1, 11 and 22! And also passing along the be sure to stay hydrated train :)
Eeee thanks for the ask!! I haven't done tumblr asks in a while
1) Who was your first starter?
Turtwig!! I was pretty late to the game for Pokemon, but I adore him!! Sadly, I really don't use the line very much bc they're weak/allergic to everything
11) List your top 6 favorite Pokemon
1. Espeon!! I had one in my og Diamond file that just blasted through everything and that's what put it on my radar. I also love its simple and elegant design and I'd love to have one follow me around. I also really like the emphasis on bond and trust in all its dex entries
2. Raichu - it's just so big and looks so nice and soft and pudgy to hold and hug. And also absolutely strong enough to decimate my enemies. It also seems like the least loved member of the Pika-line, (most of its anime appearances are basically Raichu slander lol) but Alolan Raichu is nothing but soft pancake-loving perfection
3. Lucario - bit of a basic choice but i will always love this reliable ace. It was also one of my friend's favorite pokemon who helped get me into Pokemon, so there's the nostalgia points there. And no one can deny that Lucario's movie was, and still is, an absolute banger
4. Ponyta - again with the nostalgia play, but Ponyta was the first pokemon i learned. (I guess separate fun fact is that my first pokemon I learned wasn't Pikachu). I also grew up riding horses and still do, and the little childhood desire of being able to ride and own a literal fire horse has not subsided. It's also got a real cute face
5. Hisuian Arcanine - Kantoian Arcanine has always hovered near the top of my favorites list, but when the Hisuian form came out? Instant top. I love it's design and also it's callback to historic asian guard dogs. Also who could resist a giant fluffy dog to help hunt down your enemies and then lower your heating bill in the winter?
6. Meowscarada - after a lot of internal debate, I've gotta give the last spot to my Scarlet ace. Initially, I actually hated how the final form of our grass cat looked, but it's definitely grown on me (though the puffy sleeves and weird hand-paws are still problem but we're fixing that in fanart wut). And working to develop my ScarVio muse’s Meowscarada’s personality and arc for my slew of fics that hopefully will make it out of google docs one day lol has also endeared it to me. Also Scarvio has been the first mainline Pokemon game to really grab me since XY, so Meowscarada gets points for that too
Honorable mentions (bc that last choice was hard) - Eevee, Buizel, Absol, Torterra and Latios
22) - If you were a gym leader, what would your typing/theme be?
I love that this question says theme, because I've always wondered how Gym Leaders and E4 end up specializing in types. Besides for Misty, I don't remember anyone in canon who wasn't already a gym leader deciding to specialize in only one type (yeah I know Misty becomes a gym leader, but when she battled Ash in like. ep maybe 7, she barely was). Because they must've had mixed teams when they were up and coming trainers, winning leagues and challenging Champions and such. I much prefer some of the mixed teams of the ScarVio teachers in the Academy Ace tournament and then Battle Frontier brains in the anime that have a unifying theme instead. Like an international gym with all final forms of starters would be cool
As for me, it's so basic, but I'd love an Eeveelution gym with Eevee as the ace, maybe with Gmax, even though I haven't finished Shield yet. But if I had to pick a type, I think I'd go Fire-type with Hisuian Arcanine as my ace, along with Ponyta/Rapidash, Hisuian Typhlosian, Delphox, Houndoom, and maybe Salazzle
And yes!! Hydrating is good!! Hydrate or die-drate. Currently doing with tea

Hi all, I’m very sorry for the late notice (I was trying to push through until the end against the odds), but I won’t be able to get today’s update for Layton’s Book Club done in time 😔 I tried my best, but with the Christmas family gatherings (and eating ten times more than I am used to), the moving around multiple places (I get carsick so I can’t work during travels), the running some more simulations for my lab (I know my PhD is done but we just might be on the brink of a breakthrough), my favourite laptop needing repairs (it is now finally back home and I can finally draw again!), and the flu I got for two days (I’m better now), I unfortunately wasn’t able to make it.
When past me said that I had the entire first chapter as buffer and that it would amount to at least six weeks worth of updates… Well, that is technically true, but also that is only true if you want to consider the primary DeepL-only translation with the bare minimum of editing. What I realised upon giving it a closer look was that a lot of sentences are a bit hard to analyse and interpret correctly, at the very least during the scene which was supposed to be posted today. This first scene in particular is already extremely fast-paced and confusing as it is due to the sheer amount of action happening in it, so for this update more than for any other, translation accuracy really needs to be top notch. and the issue is that since I still do not speak Japanese, top notch 9/10 accurate translations take forever to make because I have to verify every word one by one.
The entire point of this second translation I am making is to have one that is better than the currently-existing Google Docs one on all aspects, mainly reliability and reading enjoyment (as much as I can make it since my own writing style is miles away from the Layton’s Book Club narration style). It would be hypocritical if my translation were just as half-baked as this first one from years ago, even if it would be of just barely higher quality thanks solely to DeepL being superior to how Google Translate was ten years ago.
So… If you want, you can read the first DeepL-with-minimalistic-editing translation directly on my transcription website in the meantime. And if you are even more impatient/curious, you can read here the Google Docs translation which was made by someone else years ago, and… really is lacking in a lot of important moments. But for Layton’s Book Club, in the end I decided to go for quality over quantity. And also this extra week will hopefully allow me to breathe a bit :')
---
PS: The translation you can read in black text on my transcription website is not actually meant to be enjoyable to read, it is rather meant to be as accurate and close to the original as possible (including the order of words, which is notably why they are so weird to read). Green text shows the sentences that DeepL spat out when I copy-pasted the Japanese version and which past me barely edited in order to make them sound like actual English, but their accuracy is not ascertained.

|| Looking For an RP Partner !
Hi! My name is Morgs/Morgan and I'm hoping to find a long term RP partner. I've been looking in Discord servers for my entire roleplaying career, but I cant find a single decent person. No one who's reliable, anyway; so I came here in desperation. :') I write personally and RP as a hobby, so I can at least promise my writing is decent and readable.
I am 17, and looking for someone in the 16-18 range. I am in EST time zone, I'm almost never busy. I've been roleplaying for roughly 6 years now.
|| What I Prefer !
I prefer to RP on Google Docs, but my only alternative is on Discord, (where I'll ask you to message me anyway!!) I also prefer to RP OCxOC, and the only fandom universe I'll do is the Under verse (Undertale AUS.) My preferred pairing is MxM.
I LOVE to do fantasy romance, and I rarely do anything else. For my roleplays, I love plotting, world-building, making our OCS, etc. I like making Pinterest boards, really anything that has to do with our RP.
I would prefer if my partner did as well and helped in the making of the RP, I find it hard to do it one-sided. I also like having in-depth characters, with flaws. I can't stand OP and "perfect" characters, be real!!! everyone has flaws! it's what makes the world real.
Some cool genres and stuff I like are:
Angst, drama, fluff, fantasy (any kind), romance (required). Almost anything as long as its interesting really!!!
I am semi-lit (averaging 3 paragraphs, willing to be lenient.) But I wont write one-liners, neither will I RP with someone who does. I also DONT do novella!! I like to do rapid fire, but it's okay if responses are slow sometimes. With that, I can mirror too!!!!
I understand sometimes life gets in the way, you get tired, uninterested, etc. Please don't hesitate to COMMUNICATE! I find it so disappointing when I'm left waiting for days for someone to reply, with no kind of warning. If you feel yourself getting bored with the RP, let me know and we can always brainstorm ways to make it better, or we can make a new one. :) And I beg, please don't ghost me. Its an awful way to say goodbye.
I like mature themes and nsfw! as long as it doesn't overtake the plot and isn't overdone. You can't go wrong with some good smut. Id prefer if my RP partner shared my sentiments! But if anything makes you uncomfortable at all, just lemme know! please tell me your triggers so we can avoid them! speaking of triggers, some things that I'm uncomfortable with are:
Cheating, extreme violence, the basic stuff. (Philias, fetishes, etc.)
|| OOC stuff!
YAYY this part! some things I like are:
Lady Oscar / The Rose of Versailles
Baldur's Gate 3
The Mirror Visitor by Christelle Dabos
Date Everything!
lots of animes (if you're curious just ask!!)
Undertale/Underverse
SCP foundation
Angels
religious themed stuff
OKAY! now that that's over with, if you're interested, please text my Discord: Morgs727

In less than a week, I’ve been ghosted by Kathy for no apparent reason, and Chris—someone I always thought was smart and had a great sense of humor—went completely unethical on me and then bit my head off for agreeing with him. I went over our exchange again and I must really be missing something, or maybe he's losing it, because I don’t see what set him off. I don't care, but at the same time, I'm naturally curious about understanding things. I’ve sensed for a while that he hasn’t been happy, so maybe his mental state is a factor. His writing was full of anger, but as I said, I do understand and agree with what he was saying. That’s why his lashing out at me came as such a shock.
Nonetheless, I am so sick of trying to figure out what makes people tick. You think you're intuitive and good with people, then realize you don’t know a damn thing. Fuck humanity! I'm totally not open to making new friends. Tracking blog visitors has become less reliable since more people are either hiding or appearing where they’re not. Still, while I appreciate anyone’s curiosity I’m not up for chatting unless you're someone I’m already friends with. I’ve disabled comments everywhere except for friends on LJ. I’m still on the fence about my PB accounts—should I continue as I have, make them private, friends-only, or just delete them altogether? I don’t want to regret it if I delete them, but I don’t think I’ll be using them much anymore. I’ll finish the bio and maybe the rest of the month, but I might start doing monthly updates instead and just drop in a whole month at a time.
I always thought I’d feel more comfortable on privately owned sites, but I don’t. I’d rather stick to ones run by big companies where the personal feelings and preferences of those in charge don’t get in the way. What Chris did was so messed up. He can go shove his crooked nose right up his ass.
We're finally getting lows in the 60s, and next week might even dip into the 50s. One downside to returning to the desert is dealing with hotter summers and colder winters, but it’ll be worth it. Still not sure if we’ll be able to pull it off, though. We’ve set a five-year deadline, and if we’re still here in 2030, this place will have been our longest stay. Tom will be in his early 70s then, and unless a hurricane demolishes it, we'll probably live out the rest of our lives here. Yes, I hate it when the snowbirds return, but I’ll at least enjoy it when they leave.
Walmart still isn’t delivering, so Tom went just before 7:00 a.m., and it was a nightmare. He said it felt like a zombie apocalypse—tons of cars lined up, the store jam-packed, and this was early morning. Half the shelves were empty, and it was chaos. He’d rather pay more and shop at Publix like a normal human being where it’s not a madhouse. He said there were only a few loaves of bread left, and they were torn.
His tinnitus has been acting up lately, but we’re not sure why.
I can't figure out why my bangs are growing so slowly. The rest of my hair is growing but my bangs are taking forever to grow out long enough to pull back.
I hope my crown getting ready to fall out again, because sometimes when I bite down, it feels a little funny.
I have what should be my final CVS order on its way, thanks to my free quarterly benefits. It’s just basic stuff like pain relievers and anti-itch cream.
I’m also getting another patterns coloring book. I think I like coloring patterns the most because there are no rules. Sure, anyone can color an apple any color they want, but it still feels weird to color one blue or purple. When I think of apples, I think red or green.
I love that Google Docs added tabs! Now instead of dumping a whole story into one long doc like Word, I can organize each chapter into its own tab—kind of like how Prosebox does books with multiple posts representing each chapter.
Lately, I’ve been trying to organize my files better. I’ve got notes and docs scattered all over—Outlook Notes, Google Docs, blogs, Word, etc.—so I’m grouping things to make them easier to find.
Lastly, I had AI make me a simple, dark silhouette of a female head to use on PB. I’ll keep it indefinitely since it doesn’t clash with the background.

How to Choose the Best Refurbished Laptops for Your Needs

In today’s tech-driven world, owning a high-performance laptop is essential for work, study, and entertainment. However, buying a brand-new laptop can be a significant investment, especially when considering premium models like the MacBook Pro. Thankfully, refurbished laptops provide a cost-effective alternative without sacrificing quality or performance. Whether you’re looking for a Refurbished MacBook Pro or another refurbished Apple product, choosing the right device depends on understanding your specific needs.
In this blog, we’ll guide you through the process of selecting the best refurbished laptop that fits your requirements, helping you make an informed decision that delivers both value and reliability.
1. Understand Your Usage Needs
It's crucial to determine your needs before acquiring a reconditioned laptop. Different users require different specifications based on how they intend to use the laptop. A few categories to think about are as follows:
Basic Users: If you mainly use a laptop for web browsing, watching videos, and handling simple tasks like word processing, a refurbished laptop with an Intel Core i3 or equivalent processor, 4GB of RAM, and a solid-state drive (SSD) will meet your needs. These laptops are often more affordable while still offering great performance for everyday use.
Students and Office Workers: For students or professionals who multitask with applications like Microsoft Office, Google Docs, or lightweight design tools, you’ll want a refurbished Apple laptop or similar model with at least 8GB of RAM and an Intel Core i5 processor for smooth performance.
Creative Professionals: If your work involves video editing, graphic design, or software development, investing in a Refurbished MacBook Pro with higher specs, such as an Intel Core i7 or i9 processor, 16GB or more of RAM, and a dedicated graphics card, will be essential for handling demanding applications.
By understanding how you intend to use the laptop, you can narrow down your options and select a refurbished laptop that matches your performance requirements.
2. Choose the Right Brand
Refurbished laptops come from a variety of brands, but Apple products are particularly popular for their premium quality and reliable performance. When choosing the best refurbished laptop for your needs, consider the advantages of going with Refurbished Apple products:
Refurbished MacBook Pro: The MacBook Pro is renowned for its sleek design, powerful hardware, and exceptional performance, making it a favorite among creative professionals and those seeking high-end features. Buying a Refurbished MacBook Pro allows you to access these premium features at a fraction of the cost. Whether you need it for video editing, programming, or multitasking, a Refurbished MacBookPro offers superior performance that lasts.
Refurbished Apple MacBook Air: If you’re looking for something more lightweight and portable, the MacBook Air is a great option. This refurbished Apple model is perfect for students, travelers, or professionals who need a reliable device for everyday tasks without the bulk.
Apple’s premium build quality and long-lasting battery life make Refurbished Apple laptops an excellent choice for anyone who values reliability and sleek design.
3. Inspect the Condition of the Laptop
One of the key considerations when purchasing a refurbished laptop is its condition. Reputable sellers like Retechie offer detailed descriptions of the laptop’s physical and functional state, ensuring transparency about what you’re buying.
Retechie provides three common categories for refurbished devices:
Like New: These laptops are nearly indistinguishable from brand-new ones and have very few indications of wear. If you’re looking for a pristine refurbished MacBook Pro or another model, this category ensures you get a laptop that feels and performs like a brand-new product.
Good Condition: These laptops may have minor cosmetic imperfections but are fully functional and tested for performance. They’re a great option for those who want to save more while still receiving a high-quality device.
Fair Condition: While these laptops may have more noticeable wear and tear, they offer excellent performance at an even lower price point. These are perfect for budget-conscious buyers who prioritize function over appearance.
By understanding these categories, you can select a refurbished laptop that aligns with your budget and aesthetic preferences.
4. Consider the Specifications
When choosing a refurbished laptop, make sure to pay attention to the specifications. Even though you’re buying a refurbished model, it’s important that the laptop meets your needs in terms of processing power, memory, and storage.
Processor: The processor is the heart of your laptop. For everyday tasks, an Intel Core i3 or i5 processor is sufficient. However, if you’re handling resource-intensive applications, opt for an Intel Core i7 or higher.
RAM: Try to get at least 8GB of RAM for seamless multitasking. Creative professionals or gamers may need 16GB or more for heavy applications.
Storage: Compared to conventional hard drives, SSDs are more dependable and speedier. For most users, a refurbished laptop with at least 256GB SSD should provide ample storage and quick access to your files.
A Refurbished MacBookPro often comes with customizable specifications, allowing you to find the right balance of power, storage, and speed that fits your specific requirements.
5. Check for Warranty and Customer Support
One of the major concerns people have when buying a refurbished laptop is the lack of a warranty. Fortunately, reliable sellers like Retechie offer warranties on their refurbished laptops, providing peace of mind in case something goes wrong. Warranties usually cover defects in materials and workmanship, ensuring that your device is protected for a certain period after purchase.
In addition to the warranty, Retechie offers excellent customer support, ensuring that any questions or concerns you have are promptly addressed. This support system ensures that you have a smooth buying experience and can rely on assistance if needed.
6. Evaluate Price vs. Performance
The financial savings are among the main benefits of purchasing a reconditioned laptop. However, it’s important to ensure that you’re getting a good deal by comparing the price with the performance.
For example, a Refurbished MacBook Pro offers the same high-quality performance as a new model but at a significantly lower price. This makes it a great investment for those who need a premium laptop without the premium price tag. By evaluating the specs and condition of the laptop against its price, you can ensure you’re getting the best value for your money.
Conclusion: Find the Best Refurbished Laptop at Retechie
Selecting a reconditioned laptop that offers superior performance at a reduced price might prove to be a wise purchase. By understanding your specific needs, inspecting the condition of the laptop, and evaluating the specifications, you can make an informed decision that meets your requirements.
At Retechie, we offer a wide range of refurbished laptops, including the popular Refurbished MacBook Pro and other refurbished Apple models. Our laptops are fully tested, backed by warranties, and available at competitive prices, ensuring that you find the perfect device for your needs.

Buy Aged Old Gmail Accounts
Benefits of Buying Aged Old Gmail Accounts
Increased Credibility and Trust: An aged Gmail account shows longevity and consistent usage over time. When you communicate with others through such an account, recipients are more likely to view your emails as trustworthy and reliable, avoiding spam filters.
Better Email Deliverability: Older Gmail accounts are less likely to get caught in email filtering systems or be blocked, leading to higher chances that your important messages will be seen by recipients.
Enhanced Security: Aged Gmail accounts typically have more security layers like phone verification, recovery email, and other protective measures already in place. This reduces the risk of hacking and unwanted account breaches.
Access to Google Services: Gmail accounts are the key to accessing other essential Google services such as Google Drive, Google Docs, Google Analytics, and more. An older account with verified usage can provide seamless access without the delays and restrictions sometimes encountered with newer accounts.
Improved Marketing Opportunities: For email marketers, using aged Gmail accounts can be especially beneficial for avoiding spam traps and increasing open rates for campaigns. Aged accounts have more reputation and credibility in email servers, boosting your chances of successful delivery.
SEO and Social Media Growth: Older Gmail accounts can be connected to other Google services that affect SEO rankings and social media visibility. Their established nature helps you grow digital assets with greater ease and authority.
Types of Aged Old Gmail Accounts You Can Buy
At our marketplace, you can choose from a wide variety of aged old Gmail accounts, tailored to meet your specific needs:
Basic Aged Gmail Accounts: These accounts have been created and aged for at least one year. They are perfect for smaller business activities, email marketing, and personal communications.
Premium Aged Gmail Accounts: Premium accounts have been around for over 3 to 5 years, with a history of regular usage. These are ideal for businesses looking to establish long-term trust and engage in high-level email campaigns.
Aged Gmail Accounts with Google Services: These accounts come pre-linked with additional Google services like Google Drive, Google Analytics, and Google My Business. They are best suited for businesses and individuals who require full access to Google’s ecosystem for productivity and digital marketing.
How Aged Gmail Accounts Benefit Digital Marketers
Email marketing has become one of the most effective ways of reaching potential customers. However, ensuring your emails actually land in the inbox is key. This is where aged Gmail accounts shine for digital marketers.
When using newly created email accounts, you often encounter issues such as emails landing in the spam folder, getting blacklisted, or being blocked entirely by email service providers. Aged old Gmail accounts, on the other hand, have a much better reputation in email networks, improving deliverability and trust scores.
Additionally, since these accounts have been used and active for years, they are more likely to be accepted by email servers, allowing digital marketers to run campaigns with more confidence.
How to Use Aged Old Gmail Accounts for Social Media Success
Aged old Gmail accounts aren’t just beneficial for email; they can also enhance your social media presence. Many platforms require email verification, and an older Gmail account can increase the chances of your social media profiles appearing more legitimate and trustworthy to both the platforms themselves and potential followers.
This is especially useful when creating accounts on platforms like YouTube, Twitter, and LinkedIn, where older email accounts help in avoiding suspicion and ensuring smooth account creation. These Gmail accounts can also serve as recovery emails for multiple social media accounts, adding an extra layer of security to your online presence.
Aged Old Gmail Accounts for Affiliate Marketing and Business Growth
Affiliate marketers benefit greatly from using aged Gmail accounts because of their established standing in the email ecosystem. With these accounts, affiliate marketers can create numerous profiles across different networks, maintain constant contact with clients, and send promotional emails with a higher chance of success.
For businesses, aged Gmail accounts allow them to expand their email communication network without worrying about losing credibility. Many companies use aged Gmail accounts to create separate email lists, manage customer support, and stay connected to clients without risking their primary business emails.
Bulk Purchases of Aged Old Gmail Accounts for Agencies
If you manage a digital marketing agency, public relations firm, or a customer support team, buying aged Gmail accounts in bulk can be a game-changer. Agencies often require numerous accounts to manage different clients and campaigns, and having aged accounts ensures more successful communication efforts.

With bulk purchases, you can:
Create multiple user profiles for clients.
Manage distinct email campaigns with improved deliverability.
Expand outreach across social media and other platforms without triggering email spam filters.
By purchasing aged Gmail accounts in bulk, agencies can streamline their marketing efforts while ensuring their accounts remain reputable and secure.

Essential Resources for Maximizing Remote Efficiency
Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic forced many companies to send their employees home to do their jobs, remote work has grown by leaps and bounds. As of 2023, more than 4.7 million U.S. workers are remote at least half the time, and it’s estimated that 32.6 million Americans will be working remotely by 2025. Many people are excited about remote work, and there are many pros, like eliminating the commute and having more time with your family. However, when you’re away from an office and have more freedom, staying on track, being productive, and avoiding burnout can be hard.
The solution is to create a structure for your remote work that will allow you to complete your tasks while maintaining a proper work-life balance. Here are resources and tips to achieve maximum remote efficiency.
You Need a Reliable Internet Connection
During a day and age when just about all work is completed electronically, you need an internet connection on which you can depend. When your internet works seamlessly, you can maximize your efficiency, so this step is important.
While you’re looking into the best internet for remote work, you need to consider several factors, including bandwidth, which is the maximum data that can be transferred over a connection. Also, look at the latency or how much lag you may experience. Consider those when looking at internet providers. You also need to consider what you do at work each day to determine how strong of a connection you’ll need. Simple data entry may not require as much as a job requiring constant Zoom meetings or transferring large files.
There are different internet options you may try. Regardless of the work you do, if you can secure a fiber optic connection, take advantage because it provides faster response times and little to no lag. Cable and DSL options are also very dependable and will work just fine for meetings and communicating with coworkers. If you work in a rural area without the availability of cable or fiber optics, satellite internet is an option.
If you work from home, you may need your own space, and if your internet is still choppy in an office far away from the router, adding an extender near your workspace can get you the speed you need.
Productivity Tips That Prevent Burnout
When you work from the comfort of your home, there can be an increased risk of working longer than you should or being distracted and not completing your work. To get a happy medium, you need to consider some work-from-home tricks. For instance, set a routine and boundaries. Set your working hours, get them approved by management, and stick to them. When your day is done, turn off your computer or leave your work phone behind and take some time to relax.
You should also find ways to use technology to your advantage so that you’re not doing so much at once that it results in burnout. By sticking to one project at a time, you can focus on that task and ensure that it’s done to perfection. You can look for project management software online, such as Monday.com or ClickUp, to help you manage your tasks and keep you on track.
Along those lines, you can stay focused and motivated using time-box tasks. A popular method, The Pomodoro Technique, says you should give yourself a certain amount of time, say 25 minutes, to complete a task, followed by a brief break. It’s a good system that will help you focus on work without getting overwhelmed.
Another great tool for remote work is Google Workspace, which includes software like Docs and Sheets. If your job allows it, complete your work there, and it will save automatically so you can log in from anywhere and access your reports and projects.
Make Time for Hobbies
When you have the computer in your home, and you don’t have a boss turning off the lights and telling you to go home, it can be far too easy to stay at work longer and overdo it. Don’t let that happen, or you’ll likely get burned out, and your work will suffer. Instead, you need a work-life balance and to rely on the power of personal time. If you work all the time and aren't enjoying the hobbies you like, you could get upset, and it will negatively affect your work and your life overall.
Create a self-care routine you’ll keep up because you absolutely love doing it. Schedule time during evenings and weekends to do things you enjoy and take your mind off of work. A creative hobby, like painting or drawing, is good for your mental health and allows you to relax and decompress.
Some hobbies are enjoyable and can help you at work. Building jigsaw puzzles and working out brain-teasers in your free time can help with your logic and reasoning when you log in each day. There are also hobbies like photography or learning a new language that can help you have a more open mind, which can help when thinking outside of the box during your workday.
Conclusion
You can utilize many resources and strategies to be more efficient when working from home. Use the tools at your disposal, and you’ll impress your boss even if you’re hundreds of miles away.

15 QUESTIONS ABOUT THE MUSE !
Erik
① ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE ?
‘‘Not that I’m aware of.’‘
② WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED ?
“Can’t say. I don’t keep track of my own tears, though I don’t prevent them from flowing, so I cannot reliably tell when the last time they fell was.’’
③ DO YOU HAVE KIDS ?
“Yes. Quite a few, I’d believe.’’
④ DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT ?
“Not really. It happens sometimes for humorous effect, but the message I want to convey might get lost. It is better to be clear and intent with the words you choose.
⑤ WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE ?
“I might come off as shallow for the answer, but I’ve noted that I notice someone much quicker if they have black hair... It’s a lovely color. If that requirement isn’t filled, well, I suppose I will have to go with height, then body type.’’
⑥ WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOR ?
“White or pink, I suppose. It depends. If I take on a human shape I tend to go with black.’’
⑦ SCARY MOVIE OR HAPPY ENDING ?
‘’Depends on the mood, but happy endings are usually nice.’’
⑧ ANY SPECIAL TALENTS ?
‘’They’re far from important to mention.’’
⑨ WHERE WERE YOU BORN ?
‘’The place no longer exists and no longer bears a name, for it was lost to time. But I’ve always belonged to the Scandinavian region.’’
⑩ WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES ?
‘’Hm. Reading about various topics and subjects...’’
⑪ DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS ?
‘’In a sense… Mx. Fanden has currently 5 magpies they tend to, and as we live in the same sphere, they are in a sense mine as well. Though I don’t tend to them as that is Their job as the primary caretaker.’’
⑫ WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED ?
‘’I suppose I am forced to say dance, but don’t conflate the forced confession as me disliking it. Fanden needs Their dance partner and I am lovingly and willingly going to comply to Their request. ’’
⑬ HOW TALL ARE YOU?
‘’My size… depends on the day and the mood. But I enjoy being on the taller end. 8 foot, perhaps.’’
⑭ DREAM JOB ?
‘’I rather enjoy the one I have. I am not interested in getting a mortal day job.’’
⑮ FAVORITE SUBJECT AT SCHOOL ?
“I am not a person who is interested in school, but the world is ever shifting and it is unfortunately important to keep up with the changing times. I prefer to study in my own time. But I suppose if I had to choose, art classes and art theory.’’
Fanden Tyken
① ARE YOU NAMED AFTER ANYONE ?
‘’I can’t say I am!’’
② WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU CRIED ?
“Oh my… now that is certainly a question… When was the last time I cried? Oh dear, I’ll have to give you my most sincere apologies but can’t seem to remember?’’
③ DO YOU HAVE KIDS ?
“Gracious me. No, no. I don’t aim to get any either. I am more than content as I am without any.’’
④ DO YOU USE SARCASM A LOT ?
“Quite rarely, I believe. No, no, it is much better to clearly communicate what one wants to put into words rather than exaggerating or turning to rude alternatives.’’
⑤ WHAT’S THE FIRST THING YOU NOTICE ABOUT PEOPLE ?
“My, that is a good question. I believe I might notice how they dress and act, or rather lack in an act. A good outfit is important if you want a good first impression after all. Far from a requirement in these modern days, but it is what it is. ’’
⑥ WHAT’S YOUR EYE COLOR ?
“They change between white or gold.’’
⑦ SCARY MOVIE OR HAPPY ENDING ?
‘’Happy ending, I suppose.’’
⑧ ANY SPECIAL TALENTS ?
‘’I am quite proficient in the arts of dance, and music. Oh, how I love it so... And I suppose I should add carpentry? Architecture? Both? I suppose they are different things, so let’s add both to the list as well.’’
⑨ WHERE WERE YOU BORN ?
‘’I was never born, I was created fully formed as I am. But I did make Scandinavia my home, what a charming little place to call my own.’’
⑩ WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES ?
‘’I have so many! Goodness me, how could I ever list them all in a passing? In a rush? Oh dear, oh dear… that would never do… I’ll be cursed to know I am going to forget something, somehow…
But, well, I do quite enjoy playing music, I dance- oh! And I decided to get a day job in the mortal world, for fun, you know. Just to have something of substance in daily life. Ah, right, where was I… right. I do a little carpentry, I travel, I read, I- oh I love going to shows and see the gorgeous productions they’ve put on… I need to see if there are any ballet productions going on somewhere, it’s been far too long since last time - my, I seem to have gotten lost here, let me continue on my ever-growing list; Well... I take classes on things to learn about them and stay up to date…
I shop and I collect things- Many things, actually. Vinyl plates, books, trinkets, sleeve cuffs, suits, paintings, things of gold, and so much more. Ah… are you aware of how difficult some of the things I collect are to get these days? They were common household items just a mere 200 years ago and then no more! Poof, gone! Now I need to retort to annoying bidding sessions on the internet if I absolutely want anything specific from back then or learn how to make it myself - Which I am more than gladly willing to do, but... - Or go on auctions and hope for the best. Gracious… it’s so unfortunately unreasonable.’’
⑪ DO YOU HAVE ANY PETS ?
‘’Why, yes I do! I got the most charming little flock of magpies! 5 little trouble makers who liven up my world with their loud chattering. They are very lovable and attention-seeking little things.
I tend to have a few around me at all times, the house is just so empty when they’re not around. Shame their lifespan is no more than 15 years, but it’s not too bad for a bird.’’
⑫ WHAT SPORTS DO YOU PLAY/HAVE YOU PLAYED ?
‘’I dance, of course! I don’t partake in a lot of other sports- well, perhaps I do a little bit of gymnastics on the side in relation to the dance, I suppose. I know a fair variety of dance styles as well and I am always interested in learning more.’’
⑬ HOW TALL ARE YOU?
‘’In this shape, I am about 6’5’’ tall?’’
⑭ DREAM JOB ?
‘’I already have it.’’
⑮ FAVORITE SUBJECT AT SCHOOL ?
‘’Let me see… I suppose I did enjoy the classes I took to update my carpeting and home building skills? And music, of course. I prefer practical classes much more than I do theoretical ones, I must admit.’’
