i am looking for sims that are engineers, biologists, and computer programmers that would be interested in working in aerospace. you can get creative, but try to stay within those niches!
please write a small biography about your sim! it will help me select who i think will be best for the job. you don't have go super in depth, but their bio will help me select the final sims :)
you don't need to set your sim up with degrees or skills or anything if you don't want to! i can do all of that in game myself.

⭐ selection process
the deadline for submissions is june 15th, 2025. sorry for the short window - i'm really excited to play asap lol. i'll be selecting the sims and posting about them sometime before june 21st, 2025!
i will be selecting 7 sims to be christopher's coworkers for the duration of the generation. using the club feature, these sims will act as his coworkers, and will ultimately become his and percy's primary social circle.
i am ideally looking for at least two sims from each category (engineering, biology, computer science). i want to create a well balanced team for this project, but if i don't get enough submissions for each category, i'll just cope :P
the sims will be chosen based on... vibes? i might rng if i'm stuck between who to pick. ultimately though i want to pick whoever fits best with christopher and the vibe i have for the team.
don't worry though! all sims submitted will be added to my save and live in oasis springs for the whole generation! because i use kuttoe's home regions mod, they will be the only sims populating the town, and so they'll be the sims interacting with my sims most often. they will also essentially be re-populating my save since i recently culled a bunch of random townies lol
i will absolutely be posting updates if anything interesting happens with submitted sims :) and who knows, maybe a future dean will marry a descendent or something!
🧬 sim creation info
i have all packs, so there's no pack restrictions on what you can use to dress up your sims!
your sims should have one outfit per category. don't worry about their main outfit being work appropriate - i'll be giving each sim an additional work outfit. if i need to add or change anything, i'll make sure to keep their aesthetic consistent!
cc is okay, but keep it to a moderate amount. mm preferred, hair + clothes are okay, but don't go buckwild on accessories or anything like that (unless it's important for their backstory or identity, like necessary scars, medical equipment, identifying features, etc)
if i choose not to use any of the cc given with the sim, i will change the item to something consistent in style that i already have in my game. (for example, a green t-shirt will be swapped out for a different green t-shirt)
please don't use custom body presets! custom face presets and sliders are okay, but just know that they might get messed up if i ever need to make tweaks.
feel free to use skin details and makeup, but the sims will have my defaults, and i might change up some skin details and makeup to fit in with my game better. i'll still retain their general look though! i might just go with stuff i have in my game instead of new stuff that i wouldn't normally use.
you can either link the cc they use in the post, or include them in the dl with their tray files. i don't mind either way.

My Fair Lady: Late Baroque Era Set

Please READ ALL OF THIS before downloading. I will not answer an ask if it was answered here. Read.
This is a late 17th-century/early 18th-century Baroque Set. You will get 25 items for women, girls, and toddlers! Towards the bottom, I will give you tips to start a Baroque Era Save (people to find on gallery and men/boy attire).
I would like to thank @the-melancholy-maiden @linzlu @sychik @batsfromwesteros @vintagesimstress @cringeborg @acanthus-sims @stereo-91 and sims 2 creator maya40 for the stuff I've used to make all of this. I'm sure there are more creators but I cannot recall their names off the top of my head. DM me if you see a piece of your mesh here so I can give proper credit. I would also like to thank @belleophile for testing these items for me.
The stuff in this set can work for the late 1660s-early 1710s.
WHAT YOU GET: You will get 3 hat hairs, 1 for each age I listed above, 2 Fontanges for adults that work with the hat slider mod, 4 adult hairs, an adult baroque hair comb piece, 1 adult baroque sash accessory used for court and portraits, 1 ribbon hair piece to go with a hair, and 13 dresses (2 1670s/1660s mantuas, 1 1680s-1710s Habit used for Hunting or Riding, 1 1690s-1710s court dress used for court occasions, 1 1690s-1710s jeweled portrait dress and 1 1660s-1670s portrait dress with sash, and finally 7 1690s-1710s mantuas used for everyday, formal, and seasonal wear. I've included 1 dress for a child and 1 dress for a toddler as well).
SMALL NOTICE ABOUT THE PIECES: The hairline on the hairs will not behave correctly if you have head shape presets on the sim. I've tried fixing that but no luck. If I manage to fix it, I will update it. The Hat Hairs are found in the HAT category and are not compatible with hairs you MUST download the hair files that I'll be including with them. This being said, if you remove sim clothing while they have the hat hair on, it removes the hair override too. It's strange, but just put the hat back on and it should fix. The comb, and ribbon accessory are also found in the hat category. The Sash is found in the GLASSES category. The 1660s-1670s Mantuas are not compatible with shoes, leggings, or socks. I've removed these options in CAS tools so you shouldn't have to worry about clipping. The Barbara 1670s Dress has a sash meshed onto it, and because of this does not behave well with bigger bodies. The same applies to the Henrietta 1670s Dress, as the pearls don't behave with bigger bodies. Same with the Sarah 1670s Dress jewels. The 1690s-1710s Mantuas will have small gaps if the sim is plus-sized. I have tried to fix these issues, but no luck. The hat hair fontange looks a bit gray without reshade or a lighting mod. @northernsiberiawinds has some good lighting mods. Other than that, it's fine. Below, is how it will look white with a lighting mod.

BAROQUE SAVE TIPS: These dresses will work for winter, summer, and traveling wear. Just add a fichu for summer wear or a shawl. For winter wear just add some long gloves and a cape. For men's stuff from this era, @stereo-91 has recolored some acanthus outfits which can be found here. I'll show you how they look below. I also recommend going to his gallery (ROTAMETERS91) as he has AMAZING builds for this era. For a little boy, @acanthus-sims has some stuff that can work.

Pokemon Go added Body Type Customization in an update recently!! It's not just presets of Rail Thin - Moderate Thin - Fat either there are SLIDERS!! And separate face shapes!! It's been eight years sense launch but this is HUGE in terms of Pokemon Character Customization!
I'm surprised that Pokemon Go made that update (though also sad that it took them 8 years to include fat people). I think this makes the first Pokemon game that allows the player to play as a fat person. I hope that'll be an aspect they'll keep for future games, similar to how they gave customization options for generation 6 because the game was based on France, and then that feature was too popular for the game developers to not continue that for every game afterwards.
I don't have the game downloaded, but from the pictures and video footage I've seen, the body type options do seem to be better than the usual "We'll give you one fat body type and call it a day." These are two pictures I found on Google Images:

There's at least one fat body preset with different chest options, and then there's also a way to specifically change appearance aspects like weight, hips, chest, etc.
Fat people need to be represented in more video games, positive representation at that. The excuse I usually hear is "Well, if the game developers include fat people, then they'd have to update animations and clothing to fit the fat bodies! That's more work for the same budget!" And to that, I say: Stop trying to pretend this is just a matter of 'budget' when there's not a single game with player customization that only has fat bodies.
If it truly is so impossible to make video games with more than one body type and that's the sole reason why fat people don't exist in almost any video game universe, then why is the body type always chosen to be represented a thin body type? Game developers are perfectly capable of making a game with customization where the only body option is a fat body. So, why has that never been done? Why is it that every time a person makes a video game with only one body type available, it's Always. Thin.
You know why.
I could talk about this for hours and point out so much more BS rhetoric that fatphobes use to defend fatphobia in video games, but I don't want to spend my whole night writing an essay. Anyways, I'm glad that Pokemon Go has finally started to add some weight diversity to the game, even if this is 8 years late. Let's hope more game developers will do the same.

Complex sounds, complex processing.
I think this is going to be it, or at least close to it: a case where I can make a more full range of sounds. I think I'll need to swap Pachinko out for Sinc Bucina and Pam's, but otherwise, it's a great case to explore some of these deep modules - there's a lot of underutilized digital potential in my racks.

There are two main voices here, both driven by Marbles - one FM voice from Three Body through Waver, Rainmaker, then Bib; the other Just Friends through Nebulae. Rainmaker is running my own preset which started off as something to "make a beat" out of an incoming texture, but really just adds some churning rhythm. I turn a handful of taps on and off throughout to change it up, and Marbles fluctuates a bit, but otherwise this portion is fairly static. Just friends is in Floom mode (if I remember correctly - the LPG simulation) with 3xMIA mixing an offset with S&H from Noise Tools (in the case instead of Apex, but this will change) to adjust the length - in the future, I think I'd like this adding some dynamics to volume, too, since it feels a little motionless throughout despite parts changing.
While there's less sequential variation though, the real interest in this part (and dare I say, the whole recording) is in live playing of Nebulae's buffer, creating all sorts of pleasing loops and textures. I'm just scratching the surface, but this jam was the first time I've felt I was "playing" the module with some intention rather than just turning knobs and trying to figure out what was happening. Turns out, less is more with this one.
Some other interesting mechanics: I'm using Tetrapad in keyboard mode as a sort of master transpose for the patch, with pressure out letting a sine from Osc 3 into Rainmaker for more tones (I play this near the end) and there's also a simple hat pattern from Archer's Rig (new!) clocked by a bouncing ball from Quadrax.
As this case is all together, and I really want to learn, hope to have more out in this vein soon!

inZOI demo - It's awesome!
This demo blows TS4's CAS Demo clear out the water, it's not even close (my rants: X X).
Overall, I'd give inZOI a 9/10 for girls, 8.5/10 for guys (cuz they get way less options, as usual).
What immediately struck me's that the UI is finnicky AF. The screen text on the UI' s so dang faint that I was squinting the whole time, unable to really SEE where the buttons were.
[EDIT 8/23/24] I'm watching someone try the demo on Youtube and I feel dumb--you CAN change the color of the default background! Thank goodness! (We should be allowed to change the color of the text too, though.)
The color wheel needs the preset/copy ability The Sims has, so I'm not always inputting the same colors for every CAZ part. For some reason it does NOT like 000000 (black) as a color input for accessories, which is annoying.
But the GRAPHICS QUALITY, zomg.

(I tried to give Sakura pointed elf ears, lol.) We need more sliders on the zois' faces & body, but they're off to a GREAT start.)
The zois are absolutely stunning--these are the graphics I was praying for when TS4 was first announced, not that playdough garbage EA barfed up.
This aesthetic gives me HEAVY Cyberpunk2077 vibes, especially when the nail selector popped up--I love it.

The hairs are ok--I LOVE that you can change the length--but it's only on SOME of the hairs, not all. Definitely need more variation & texture diversity--even EA had more braids, fros, dreads, curls, etc.
The clothes, shoes & ACCs options are modern, and some are VERY stylish, but kinda plain IMO (esp. the shoes, ick). My fave bottoms are the ninja-esque pants, which is why Sakuryuu are both wearing them--I was hoping for WAY more traditional Asian representation in the fashion department, wtf. U_U The textures are lovely--I love the shiny metallics. (We need some sheers though.) I want more shiny sequins & leather textures on the clothes--I need that the sequin jacket IRL.
The makeup's my favorite part--the eyes have soooo many options--you KNOW I had to give Ryuu slit eyes like a dragon/snake!

And I gave Sakura glitter & highlights. They just need to let us stack multiple makeup & jewellery, and we'll be gravy.
I expect/hope there'll be more options in the full release--this IS just a demo.
As for the cities, apparently the 3 worlds we're getting are Korea, Indonesia, & California--Pacific coasts, makes sense. They're locked off for the demo, but at least we got to see the map.

My laptop's nothing to write home about, but it ran super quiet while the demo was running (it definitely runs better than my Steam Deck, which was running kinda choppy). So here's hoping it doesn't effing COMBUST when I start sending zois into the city come full release.

"As storytellers, there are so many pieces of our craft and I'm curious how you would rank each step of the process. Rank each of the following on a scale of 1 to 5 (1 lowest, 5 highest):
Setting up the scene (building sets, decorating, etc),
Posing the sims (creating / find poses, and setting up the sims),
Styling the sims (cc hunting, time spent in cas),
Writing the dialogue/story,
Editing the photos.
Send to three other story simblrs and get to know more about each others favorite and least favorite part of this crazy process!"
Alright! Let's get into it!
SETTING UP THE SCENE: ⭐️ (1 out of 5 stars)
I'm not a builder and I really hate setting up scenes sometimes hahaha I'll do whatever as long as it's telling a story and not look that bad (sometimes it will) I'm okay with that. I know it could make my story look better and all, but I think I'm just wasting time that I could be playing/writing.
POSING THE SIMS: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️ ( 4 out of 5 stars)
I say 4 because sometimes I just wanna play the game. I often say I'm a mere narrator to what the game throws at me. Of course I plan a lot and I find poses useful sometimes for something that happens in game and sometimes sims animations are too goofy for my liking haha but I do like to spend time looking for poses, sometimes it also gives me ideas for a certain plot.
STYLING THE SIMS: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ (3 out of 5 stars)
I put 3 because I don't look for CC exactly for the story. I just love doing it when I'm bored lmao or when I feel like I want to play sims, but I'm in that funky mood that I actually don't want to play, if you know what I mean. So, I just go CC hunting and hopefully it will bring joy to open my game.
I spend a lot of time in CAS because I really like giving details... Like one of my favorite things I did for storytelling it was super simple... it was Avery taking his dad's watch. It's an in game watch (from get famous) and I just love it. Like Freya having now another ring in her right hand, since Collin also have a ring in his right hand. Or when Aurora got on fire and I hunted for scars. I like those details, but I don't spend too much time thinking or hunting for them.
WRITING THE DIALOGUE/STORY: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4 out of 5 stars)
I tend to say that I let my character tell their own story. I even joke that sometimes I feel like I dissociate and it's like I'm just watching my body typing while my character is saying whatever they are saying. I don't plan too much in advance because 1- I noticed it kills the joy of the game for me; 2- sims will do whatever they want and it will change plans often and it will lead to frustration.
Like I said before, I'm a mere narrator to what my sims are doing. I only plan for a big plot for each gen and that's it.
Malcolm and Cassie: the minute they were traveling in Mt Komorebi, how she reacted to the graves there and her gloomy trait, it made me think that I wanted her to be a widow. Then I realized that Avery needed a breaking down point and I could use Malcolm's death for that, too.
Malcolm II: I thought he had too much of a happy childhood and he wasn't a grey character like I like to play with, i don't like too perfect sims, I like them flawed and I needed a reason for that. I also wanted to play with a solo parent (and this comes to how planning kills me, because Collin became a solo parent and even if he wasn't the heir, it made big part of this. But I really wanted the heir to feel like this too, so I kept the plan). I thought Malcolm being a solo parent and losing a fated mate would make him more interesting and more conflicted (we'll see more of this when he falls in love again) with his emotions.

I tend to be lazy haha I have a preset for my pics. But I do like to do some fun editings sometimes or even movement editings for sims and such. But overall I don't do nothing too grandious. My main focus is telling a story and play the game.

In general, I haven't been able to bond with my sims in Sims 4. As a contrast, my eternal legacy is called the Samples because I named my test Sim Susie Sample when I first got TS3 and then couldn't let go of her.
I'm not sure why this is. There are many things about gameplay that are objectively very good.
I will say that TS4 has the opposite problem that TS3 has -- too many inactives show up on community lots, and they're too boisterous. I sent Mortimer Goth to the library, then half the town piled in and started a party. Morty tried to introduce himself to the guy at the computer across the table, and by the time his action rolled around, that guy had left the room, and Morty was in a group conversation with three different people.
I've seen mods to increase the sims on community lots. Are there any to REDUCE the sims on community lots, or at least make them behave a bit closer to the mood of the lot? Since TS4 has a role sim librarian, they should be running around shushing everyone.
I'd love to see the behavior I got in that TS4 library in a TS3 nightclub.
I usually play in TS3 with walls up, and for some reason, I can't get a good angle for that in TS4. The proportions of everything are different in some way. But I like seeing the walls and getting a sense of the room while I'm playing, so that
OTOH, I LOVE the attraction system in Wonderful Whims. I tried to think of how you could code something like that for TS3, and you really can't, can you? This is the alternate side of having color presets for everything -- a sim can find a particular eye color or hairstyle attractive in a potential partner. TS3 sims don't even know if they're wearing their favorite color or not.
I wonder -- what kind of info CAN you read from a TS3 sim in a mod? Can you get general body weight and fitness level? Is it possible to retrieve the RGB value for things like eye color? You might be able to categorize eye and hair color by doing simple math on an RGB value -- like whether the R, G, or B value is larger.
So... my dream attraction system would be a combination of the systems I see in TS3 and Wonderful Whims -- like, you have preferences but your attraction to other sims evolves with experience. In TS3, the game does an instant god-mode comparison when you walk in the room and tells you which sims are attractive based on things you don't even know about them. In Wonderful Whims, attraction is entirely physical (I think).
But... maybe you like green-eyed redheads, so any stranger with those qualities is attractive to you. So you're attracted to someone with the physical traits you like when you go out to a club. You dance with her and get to know her, and then you discover she has a totally incompatible trait with you. That would allow us to have relationships that have natural success or failure. Sims don't have much reason for their relationships to go sour if you don't intentionally inject drama.
I'm talking like I would ever write this mod, but I'm still 80% done with my Warrior Cats mod and on mandatory modding vacation.
Still, it would be pretty awesome, wouldn't it?

Hello, everyone! Last night I uploaded the 0.96 zipfile for Pixel Yinglets for VRChat. Barring any major issues, this update should be at the point where users should be able to comfortably customize the texture (though there's still some work to be done). The above pic is a Unity GIF of a yinglet customized with a custom color scheme created by bucket-filling colors in Krita, cycling through faces from one of the new radial submenus. Neither of these features were in 0.95!~
A look behind the curtain: While I consider this reasonably polished, there's still a lot of work to be done before 1.0 -- and I'm still listening for feature suggestions. 0.97 will add customizability sliders for the face and body (including the hue slider), and 0.98 will include some basic modern clothing. I consider these necessary before I start work on any bespoke elements that are meant to exactly match my former main model (and I miss looking at myself in VR, besides!), so I'll be working on these every work day until I reach that point. 0.98 will also be the point where I upload a public version; my goal is to exhibit this on FurHub and at Furality Umbra, I ain't stopping till I hit both those venues at least!

0.96: THE "LET'S EXPRESS" UPDATE
Feature additions:
Radial menu ability to toggle facial expression hand gestures!
Two new submenus filled with facial expression presets! (The above option must be toggled off to make use of preset faces.)
UV/texture tweaks:
Eyebrows now no longer show what's behind the model.
PC version of model now has 2 extra material slots, for eyes and eye sparkles.
Eyes are now 20% emissive. (Emission color determined by color in pixelyingletbase-improved.png.)
Eye sparkles are now fullbright (no longer react to shading).
Quest version no longer has eye sparkles. (Fix coming in later patch.)
Other tweaks:
Added Quest version with as many compatible updates as possible, alongside instructions to upload Quest version. (I anticipate updating 'em further, considering VRChat now says creating a second project is no longer necessary -- but following the instructions as provided creates a working result.)

what's exhausting about bg3? I know me and a few others haven't been able to get it bc we're poor and I wanted your take on how it's exhausting if you don't mind
i called it exhausting for ace reasons so if you're not super ace you'll be fine. i do have other disappointments though:
visual character customization is lacking
like okay i'd bought the game blind so my disappointment is 100% on me, but can you blame me for assuming based on posts of people raving about the customization options and saying they 'made their oc' that there would be a fully-fledged cc with sliders for facial features and everything??
what you get is just a set of like 8 preset faces (for human/elf/half-elf/tiefling/etc at least) and 2-4 body options. there's an impressive amount of hairstyles at least, but what the fuck does that matter if i can't even really customize my character's face. there's not even much you can do with the textures--you only get a palette of pre-approved colors instead of a color picker, there's no option to flip or translate tattoos/facepaint, and you can't even layer makeup textures. the ui design here is very clunky too which just underlines how low of a priority it must've been
on one hand i get it, this all costs time and money and they clearly had a lot on their plate with the actual meat of the game, but on the other hand my character gets the most closeups on the camera in dialogue/cutscenes, so why can't i do more with their appearance?? the character customization possibilities everyone raved about really just boil down to class, stats, & numbers, so basically more like arpg character building, where it's more about gameplay than the character
don't get me wrong, the race/background/class you pick do influence dialogue options, but i can't do something as standard as sculpt my character's face?? are you kidding me?? like, if they're not gonna let me do that, then what the fuck are all these high res glossy graphics for?? everyone else in this game gets a unique look except for me, huh? if they care that little they might as well turn this back into a text-centric game and let me import a custom png for my character like in the old days
there are a few points in the game where i was like, they really took the trouble to write and pay a voice actor to voice responses based on player actions to that level of specificity… when that time and money could've been put towards the cc. like yeah it's impressive, but it's empty. i don't need this character to voice my exact actions--i KNOW i took those actions--i want something of worth to me.
navigating the map is kind of a pain
you use the keyboard to control the camera, and you use the mouse to click where you want the character to go. the issue i have with this is that the camera is SO frustrating to orient and zoom in and out sometimes--they go through great pains to try and not show the insides of any 3d models while you're moving the camera, and they'll cut away the rooftops and other levels for you, but sometimes the game just Doesn't Understand What I'm Trying To See. like they've made it so ~elegant~ and ~presentable~ that it gets in my way. i constantly feel like i'm fighting the controls--not just of the camera, but the movement too. tbf, i don't know how this could be made better so i think what they did was the best solution, but i do get very frustrated
there's no undo button if i click "hide" by accident
unlike literally every other button on the hotbar, there's no "click again to confirm" or "right click to cancel". they just instantly hide and that bonus action is WASTED
you can enable tutorial-like informative popups, but they forget to teach you some of the most basic ways to interact with the world
there's a heavy rock at some point that's "too heavy to throw" but is clearly meant to be interacted with. …you're supposed to click and drag to "drag" it away. i had to look up what to do with it and i'm not crazy because MANY people had the same question!! not to mention those small tunnels around the environment where your character's like "well I'M too large to fit in there" and i'm like "oh i'll summon my tiny familiar and have them scurry in there!" only for the tunnel to be like "uh your familiar can't interact with me actually". so i give up because i'm over it at that point and i go online hours later to look it up and SOMEONE SAYS YOU CAN SEND YOUR FAMILIAR THROUGH THE TUNN-- (at this point i have keeled over in rage)
you can press left alt to highlight interactable items, but they only highlight what they think is important based on their own mysterious criteria. you have to sweep around like it's an i-spy game to figure out ALL the interactables in the area
i would like this if the CAMERA WERE EASIER TO OPERATE and if--actually no! no! i would NEVER like this! either highlight everything or highlight nothing at all, don't waste my time! i understand that some stuff is left unhighlighted so that the characters can roll perception checks and go "OH! a hidden lever!" but JUST TELL ME OUTRIGHT WHERE THE CRATES ARE. i play with an unavoidable glare on my screen and also, frankly, i have better things to do than squint and pick out every item in the room. let me get my meagre satisfaction from looting and be done with it!
there is absolutely no firm indication of when you might be stepping into an exclusively romantic or sexual line of dialogue
i would like this if i could turn the sex off. like set sex to no. i'm a fan of not having too many dialogue indicators or visible approval bars, BUT ONLY when i know i can relax and feel comfortable in the game. this game loves suggestive wording so i can never tell whether a scene could just be played platonically or not. like (early spoiler) gale invites you to a private magic lesson that he says can only take place in an intimate setting, so you meet him after the party, alone. given the other conversations i'd just experienced (from the fighter & the vampire) i was like great this is going to be sexual isn't it, but i was weak and wanted character interaction so i gave in and i went--and then IT WASN'T??? in fact you could play it totally platonically?? so i almost MISSED a perfectly good companion interaction because of the overly suggestive way it was worded!
"sovo are you sure that isn't just gale's personality to say it like that" YES BECAUSE EVERY COMPANION EXHIBITS THIS. it's woven into the companions, into the narration, into all the word choices. it's just a suggestive game all around, the atmosphere NEVER goes away, even when it's just a false alarm. it's part of why it's so ABSOLUTELY exhausting--because i know every other person playing this and seeing this is having a blast, and i'm the only one out here with my guard up and 10 layers of emotional shielding because i CAN'T like any companions because they're GOING to proposition my character at some point and i WILL take emotional damage when my only options are "yes let's enter a fully animated sex scene!" or "no i fucking hate your guts". do you see?? do you see my pain?? where is the middle option--the compromise?? and oh yeah, the rest of the real life world thinks my complaints are baseless, ridiculous, and avoidable. "just don't fucking play, idiot!" but do i not deserve to have fun as well? can i not get a CRUMB of something in a world where i have to make everything myself?? just once, can i play a game and have it fit--not perfectly, but at least fit??
just give me the heart icons of da:2/da:i. tell me when i'm walking into a flag i don't want to raise. better yet, when the game asks whether or not you want nudity enabled, add an option there to opt out of romance too. i say romance even though all i want is to opt out of the sex dialogue options bc as we all know romance and sex can NEVER be separated--
anyway those are my gripes. the things i like about it are… well, there are a few fights where i was like, oh that's cool that it actually uses the environment and/or teaches you a mechanic about the game that you can put into use later. the environmental puzzles are interesting, but all satisfaction is lost when i have to look up the basic mechanics they rely on that i was never taught or made aware of in-game. but i don't play games like these for gameplay, i play them for the story and the companions and the romance, so given this specific game i guess i should just keel over and die

Update: I just tried the sliders and they work fine. However, I don't have TOOL or BBB in. For anyone looking for the body presets, I have no idea how to get them back - they've been gone since I first did the batch fix. Take all of that information how you will.

Good news:
I think I know how to fix it. I've mentioned this before but I am NOT a modder by any means, I'm just following tutorials from the late CmarNYC and their programs are being maintained on GitHub (not sure by who, but thank you!)
I do NOT have to relocate the sliders. If you download them as is, they will remain at the neck. However, based on what I've read, if you have two sliders located at that location, then they will conflict and the conflict causes the height slider to break.
At this point, I've pretty much determined that I need to make various versions where the slider is in a different place. I want it to be intuitive for as many players as possible, so I'm taking suggestions; however, I will NOT be moving them to places where many other custom sliders exist (ex. Stomach, thigh) for everyone's convenience. For me, the most intuitive (but the least foolproof) place is the middle of the torso so I'll see if I can move them there.
I think I have a plan of action, but I'd really appreciate input from anyone who can provide more information on the circumstances surrounding the breakage (ex. What mods did you have in your game? Any other slider mods in your folder?)
The bad news:
I thought it was a tuning issue. However, I went into Lot51's TSDEC editor yesterday and it says it has no tuning so I don't know exactly what the problem is...
Basically, if there's code involved, I have no idea how to deal with it.
A proposal:
I noticed when I was checking the slider placement that I could be able to make this work for children. Is this something anyone is interested in? My plan right now is to have a separate package in case you wanted one or the other & a "merged" package in case you know for sure you wanted both.
I could also make it work for infants and toddlers, but there is sufficient content out there for that and I'd have to look more into how all that works.

Yeah ig that's a solution, even tho having abs this defined isn't particularly healthy fjfjfk my man be *dry* af- and of course I understand that's because they don't have a billion male body presets, and it gives him the widest appeal ectect.... But if I wanted to continue nitpicking, wasn't he supposed to be a magistrate before Cazador ? Or at least in law school ? He most likely lied but idk he presents himself that way and that's such a specific thing to say (also it would suit him so well djdjd Astarion langue de pute would make a great scummy lawyer !)- and if that's true that's another academic focused nerd with fitness influencer abs..................
(PS : if his past is explored further past idk the beginning of act 2, please don't spoil me :) I know we'll probably met Cazador down the line but rn I'm stuck in the Yugir fight and my life is pain- I maybe shouldn't have gone straight to the Shar temple after getting the pixie idk hufvikvb)

since I finished ch17, I've had a particular thonk, and that thonk basically boils down to me rewriting a part of the story to fit more with Yulia's Deep OC Lore implications - for complete funsies. because I can. and I said so.
will preface by saying this is just for my own amusement so this doesn't really need to apply for interactions. if you want. maybe. ww
anyway tl;dr my headcanon is that Yulia woke herself up from her coma somewhat on her own. sorta. there was a little deus ex machina bit to it, but at least half of it was her own efforts.
as for how that even works - Deep OC Lore Time!!
so in Yulia's original setting, there was a place known as The Dreamland - a pocket dimension which only select individuals were allowed to access, and with this location being created, safeguarded and maintained by higher beings (that tend to resemble angels).
technically speaking, accessing the Dreamland entails separating the soul from the body, after which it is transported through a preset route bypassing the third and fourth and fifth dimensions to reach the Dreamland's hidden location; upon arrival, a physical vessel constructed from the soul's preferences and experiences is formulated around the soul both to house it and to protect it while it's detached from its source body.
from the layman perspective though, anyone who can access the Dreamland just needs to be at a deep level of unconsciousness - usually at the REM stage of asleep, or otherwise actually knocked out for a period. of course, being in a coma also counts as being unconscious enough; for those with access permissions—the Dreamers—they will often be pulled into the Dreamland in such an event, where they have the privilege of being able to continue having conscious experiences while their actual body heals, as well as use the Dreamland's monitoring systems to keep tabs on what's going on in reality if they wish.
anyway you can see where I'm going with this headcanon, yeah?
so for the events of ch17, while Yulia is indeed in a coma, her soul has since been whisked to the Dreamland. and got stuck there.
Even after death and reincarnation, she technically maintains her access permissions to the Dreamland, as her soul has not changed or degraded to a point that her permissions have expired via incompatibility or would be rejected by the Dreamland's soul verification system. That said, this would be her first time visiting the Dreamland after her reincarnation - because the place has since been "deactivated" (due to the universal reset and stuff), with its Administrator absent.
despite this essentially defunct state of the place, the Dreamland's systems aren't actually offline - merely on a sort of low power, sleep mode state. which entails not pulling in anyone with access rights, like it normally would, but nonetheless remaining active and monitoring itself, its systems, and any exterior connections—to, say, a former dreamer who by all counts shouldn't even be alive, but nonetheless is, and also retains her access permissions.
so when Yulia gets unfortunately knocked into a traumatic head injury that entails prolonged unconsciousness due to health concerns, the Dreamland's systems briefly sparked to life and automatically grabbed her soul on an emergency basis.
and the thing is. this place is. basically running on low battery. on purpose. because there's no one with admin privileges to run anything properly.
so Yulia gets yoinked across a couple of dimensions, dropped into a deathly quiet void, and has no way to return manually like she would have been able to when the place is running as usual. sure, she could probably wait for her real body to recover in full and see if any lingering automated services will return her - but considering what the situation was before she landed there, she's not keen on twiddling her thumbs on a risky maybe.
so what has she been doing for the past three months in ch17? hacking into the Dreamland's systems using what user privileges she still has, either trying to force a return to her body or otherwise gain something akin to admin-level privileges so that she can write up a proper removal order.
of course, in-between all of that, she tries to keep a basic tab on what's going on on Earth after what happened in Pulia Park using the Dreamland's monitoring systems. but she only maintains these observations for the first month or two, when she sees how absolutely dire things are spiralling, and turns off the monitoring to focus on her hacking attempts.
at this point, I'm split two ways on how to go about this headcanon - like either Yulia does manage to wrangle something akin to admin privileges and hurries back the first instant she can, or. Deus ex Ishmael still happens, but differently.
as mentioned, the Dreamland is supposed to be maintained by higher order beings. perhaps, while Yulia is furiously headbutting her way through things, Ishmael happens to notice the interdimensional connection - and currently, immense distance - between Yulia's comatose body and her actual spirit far, far away. as such, she reaches out to the other end of that connection, pleasantly surprised to find a very conscious (and different-looking) Commandant, who has been trying to work around access privileges and system restrictions in an Observer-level creation that prevent any sort of flow or return between soul and body.
perhaps, intrigued by the fact that this Commandant is more aware of higher-order things and concepts than it would seem, Ishmael lends her a hand - using her own Observer status to act as a substitute Administrator or briefly force the Dreamland's systems to give admin rights to Yulia and let her return to her body. Ishmael may have also thrown in a little bodily restoration while she was at it, judging from the Commandant's apparent good health after 3 months of a whole coma lmao.
tl;dr of the Deep OC Lore - yully's soul for isekaied for three months instead of being in a legit coma, and so, she tries to reverse isekai herself back to her body. ishmael may or may not have given her hand in the reverse isekai-ing.

So my desire for a game where I could dress up cute people in cute clothes finally won over me and I decided to get Fashion Dreamer, which was the most visible game of its kind on the Switch store and was also on sale. Having never played this sort of game before, I didn't have too many expectations for it, which is good, because boy, does the game trip over the most obvious traps. A clothes binary that is not, strictly speaking, a gender binary but is just as exclusionary and limiting and pointless. A woeful lack of body shape diversity. A system that reduces each outfit to a maximum elements, with accessories limited to glasses, hats and earrings--no space for things like belts or gloves or bracelets (exceptions like butterfly wings merely take the place of an existing element or can't be used independently). Like, if I wanted to replicate this character design, or some of my real-life looks, I'd be out of luck.

Fashion Dreamer is ultimately actually a game about being a stylist rather than a designer--the core gameplay element is dressing up other people, and not necessarily with your stuff.

And yet, even with all of these limits--I haven't even gotten into the quality of life issues, which are also numerous--I can't stop playing?
Ultimately, what saves the game is its online mode, which allows you to see what other players are wearing and make outfits for them, which is, frankly, the absolute best. While this mode could also be made more robust and user-friendly (making clothes for non-random people requires some doing, and there's no way of sharing pictures in-game) it still provides the game with a really solid core.

Also, while the various random NPCs you get to style (and who sometimes just copy your look wholesale), while thin, are sometimes fun.

Plus, their preset personalities allow you to do things you might not think to do with the actual players--for example, my waifu Lola the Lawyer is probably the only character where it feels right to bust out the office looks; she also talks in stilted lawyer speak, which I find deeply appealing.
