i adore the idea of bruce and harley going to med school together. i have no idea where i heard it, but i love it. i also love the idea of years later, after harley kick joker to the curb, harley becomes the batkids chaotic surrogate aunt and then ivy becomes one through marriage.

harley and ivy are no longer full fledged villains, they’re just sorta antiheroes. still criminals, but for the most part not super deadly. and because all of the batkids adore harley, bruce can’t actually send them to arkham anymore because if he sends harley his kids will riot and just break her out because “that’s my favorite aunt! how dare you!” and if he sends ivy, his kids will riot and help harley break her out because “that’s my favorite aunt’s wife and now she’s sad! how dare you make my favorite aunt sad!”

so he has to settle for just stopping their plans, cleaning up their mess, and basically just giving them a slap on the wrist. harley and bruce also have kind of become friends??? bruce has no idea how that happened, but she just started following him around on his patrols one day and helping out with take downs and just would. not. leave. no matter how many times he told her to, so eventually he just accepted it. and then one time they were in the batmobile and she called him Bruce and he was like “what the fuck?” and she told him that she figured out who he was years ago, but she never told the joker because she was afraid that he would kill robin and she might be crazy but no one hurts kids on her watch. after that bruce just completely gave up trying to get rid of her and just took her to the batcave, because “he has work to do and she already knows everything anyway, so fuck it”

That first night, bruce sat at the batcomputer working, while harley ran around the cave looking at everything like a kid in a candy store. this went on for about 3 hours. after that bruce went through different files on various suspects and harley laid on the floor with her head on Ace and Alfred the Cat on her stomach psychoanalyzing each suspect for him as a second opinion.
