AYTO 8 Match Probabilities

This is NOT a prediction post, this is a semi-succinct highlights reel of where the house is in terms of mathematical probabilities given the information we have from six truth booths and six match up ceremonies.

Confirmed matches:

Basit and Jonathan (who sat together for Match Up Ceremonies 1,2, and 6)

Brandon and Aasha (who sat together in Match Up Ceremony 2)

Danny and Kai or Justin and Max?

Based on the fact there were two beams in Match Up Ceremony 1, one taken by confirmed match Basit and Jonathan, and three beams in Match Up Ceremony 6, two taken by Basit and Jonathan and Brandon and Aasha, this leaves two possibilities for the last beam - Danny and Kai or Justin and Max. Both potential matches have sat together three times and produced beams. Danny and Kai sat together in Match Up Ceremonies 1, 3, and 6 and Justin and Max in 1, 4, and 6. Obviously, as they both sat together in Ceremonies 1 and 6, it rules out both couples being matches in the winning scenario.

From now on, to illustrate the Danny and Kai vs Justin and Max, I will illustrate the possibilities based on Danny and Kai being matches as

pink and possibilities based on Justin and Max being matches as blue.

The two most telling Match Up Ceremonies

The beams in Ceremony 3 are two of the following pairings:

Nour and Jasmine

Danny and Kai

Paige and Amber

If we assume that either Danny and Kai or Justin and Max are perfect matches, one of the beams here must be Nour and Jasmine. Paige and Amber and Danny and Kai cannot both be matches in the same scenario based on the one beam in ceremony 4, explained below. This pushes Nour and Jasmine into all but confirmed by truth booth/MTV perfect match territory.

The beam in match up ceremony 4 is one of the following:

Justin and Max

Jenna and Paige

Kari and Kai

If Danny and Kai are each other’s match, the only possibility is Jenna and Paige as the one beam. If it’s Justin and Max are the one beam, the other pairings are not matches. This narrows down Paige’s match to either Amber/b> or Jenna. This also narrows down Jenna’s match to either Paige or Kari.

Leftovers

The leftover people who have more than two possible people who their match could be are:

Remy. Out of the not confirmed matches, his match is not Danny (sat together in ceremony 2), Nour (sat together in ceremony 6, ruled out by math), Jasmine (ruled out by math), or Paige (ruled out by math). This leaves:

Kai. Yep, Remy and Kai are the only option is Justin and Max are matches.

Kylie, Kari, Amber, Justin or Max

This is not based on numbers but let’s be real, it is highly likely Remi’s match participated in the fivesome or would have if they weren’t in a couple *cough* Justin *cough*

Kari. Her match is not Kylie (confirmed by truth booth), Danny (blackout in ceremony 5), Paige (sat together in ceremony 6 and ruled out by math), or Kai (if Justin and Max are the beam in ceremony 4 or if Danny and Kai are matches). This leaves:
