One of the best trans fem characters I've seen lately wasn't in a prestige drama, but rather in a goofy time-travel show from Brazil called Back to 15 (De Volta Aos 15). So I decided to interview some of the folks behind the show to learn all about Camila's genesis.

I love their relationship and the support Fabrício gave Camila during her transition. They built a beautiful friendship through all their differences and bickering and I’ll miss them so much. Me encanta pensar en el hecho de que la linea temporal en la que Fabricio y Anita estan comprometidos es una de las mejores lineas temporales. Y Anita tuvo que pasar 2 temporadas para darse cuenta. Eso es lo que llamo PROGRESO DE PAREJA.

I love thinking about the fact that the timeline in which Fabricio and Anita are engaged is one of the best timelines. And Anita had to spend 2 seasons to realize it. That's what I call COUPLE PROGRESS.

This show makes such an excessive use of the butterfly effect that you definitely need to suspend belief to enjoy it. But I love time travel shows, the characters are quite likeable and I’m just having a lot of fun watching them.

And as far as time travel/teen romance goes Anita and Fabricio are just… let’s just say they’re the kind of couple that make my shipper heart flutter.

I really hope Back to 15 (De Volta aos 15) keeps getting watched by more and more people outside Brazil, so they can appreciate not only the story but also the cast worldwide.

Like two of the country’ most famous former child stars are in the show and this is how they interact in Twitter cause they have been friends since forever:

Maísa (Young Anita): Good morning, I’ll go to the dressing room soon to make fun of this one
