More bad request examples. Please do not ever do this. I have examples and rules for a reason. First, there are way too many matchups in a single request and the links. They triggered my dyslexia so severely that it made it difficult for me to read it, and to top it all off, there were three of these similarly formatted requests. So please don't ever do this. I requested for it to be reformatted and resubmitted, and it was, but again, please don't do this in the first place. It was one of the reasons why I referred to Naruto as the problem child fandom before you guys settled

I should start keeping tabs on each time I discover English to have some dumb rule that I probably forgot. (>v<) Todays discovery:

Rule: If the determiner word "a" comes before a word that starts with a vowel it should become "an". [Alright, sounds like an excellent rule that makes sense and sounds pretty nice!]

For example!

Correct: A one dollar bill. Incorrect: An one dollar bill.

Wonderful, makes sense to- wait- no- WHY!?

Oh! Well you see because "one" starts with the "w" sound, which of course is a constant!

Seriously the coordination between the spoken language and written language is so damn broken.

I rant about this enough, but SCHOOL limits this exact form of learning and discovery. I want to go outside and look at something real- hell, even dirt samples. I'd rather go outside and sit in the mud, looking at dirt than sit in class and shake my leg and doodle. Just listen to that- I WOULD RATHER LOOK AT DIRT THAN AT SLIDES FROM A PROJETOR. This planet is amazing and there's so much to learn from what we are literally surrounded by daily- but as a student, I never get that chance to learn.

A dinosaur obsessed 12 year old studied fossils and found a 69 million year old hadrosaur skeleton embedded in rock while hiking. A fisherman in Australia noticed tiny shrimp in his net that looked slightly different from the others and he sent a few specimens to biologists for testing. Turned out to be a never before described species, going unnoticed in a popular lake. I posted a pic ~here on tumblr~ of a weird parasite on a dead fish and a parasitologist found it and asked to report it as the species has never been seen in my area before.

There is so, so much out there we literally don’t even know. And the best way to find that stuff out is to be intensely curious about everything you see. You might not discover a new species but you absolutely will gain a deeper appreciation for the world around you.
