We know we can't control who tags what, and how tumblr chooses to work, or not work, but these are just some general guidelines to help everyone find or block our content.

What DPxDC Tags should you use? 

General: dpxdc always

More Specific Tags: Batpham, dpxjl, dpxyj

For ALL ships please add “ship” after the ship name. For example: Dead Tired ship, Dead on Main ship, Double Edged Sword ship

What Tags should you NOT use?

Parent Fandom Tags: Danny Phantom, dp, Phandom, Phanart, Phanfic, DC Comics, DC Universe, dc, Batfamily, Batfam, Superfam 

Variations of General Tags: dp x dc, dcxdp, dc x dp, dp x jl, dp x yj, dp/dc, dc/dp, 

For ships please don’t tag JUST the ship name. For example: Dead Tired, Dead on Main, Double Edged Sword

As a general fandom tag we are using dpxdc, WITH NO SPACES.

Why no spaces? Tumblr is so glitchy it’s baffling a very functional website. Because of this we’ve received reports that sometimes if a post is tagged "dp x dc" or “dp/dc” then, even when the tag is blocked, the posts will still show up in the individual "dp" and "dc" tags. That isn’t cool.

Why is it important to tag separately?

dpxdc is a big crossover. The crossover fandom has been rapidly growing over the past year. The crossover fandom drowns out the original dp/danny phantom fandom by a lot, especially for people who may be interested in dpxdc but also want to enjoy regular phandom content. By not using the dp and danny phantom tags, it helps a lot to not drown out the main fandom's inhabitants and content. dpxdc as a fandom tends to pump out a lot of content (which is amazing), but that means that we need to be careful to not suffocate the main fandoms. "Why can't I tag the danny phantom or batfam main fandoms? it's a crossover" -- yeah, it is a crossover, but it's a crossover that is huge (especially in comparison to danny phantom) and dpxdc has taken over the main fandom tags. It's causing a lot of animosity and tension on both sides.

Additionally, the crossover (like most fandoms) comes with some common characterizations, tropes, aus, and concepts that tend to be interpretations that do not link back to the main fandom well. While fandoms come up with their own characterizations, tropes, aus, and concepts, it's important to know when a crossover fandom has existed long enough to establish its own sets of common themes that the main fandom may want nothing to do with.

This doesn’t mean you have to pick between dpxdc and its parent fandoms, like Danny Phantom or DC or Batfam. Indeed, by NOT tagging dpxdc with its parent fandoms, you are ensuring that people who want a space for dpxdc and a space for its parent fandoms can have both! We don’t have to pick sides! But in order to have both, we need to tag dpxdc content with a tag we can search (that is, dpxdc), AND we need to make sure we’re NOT tagging the parent fandoms (such as, danny phantom).

What if I don't want to see dpxdc content?

Here {link} is an in depth guide on how to block tags and filter certain content from appearing on your dash. We also ask that you please keep any venting out of the dpxdc.

Uhh, tbh no 😭 I’m pretty oblivious to Danny Phantom and DPxDC stuff bc I don’t go looking at it often, and I pretty much just jumped into the phandom without looking more into it lmao

However! If you’re in the BatPham Community server, then I recommend looking for the mods within the server and then finding them on Tumblr, bc they’ve been in the phandom for a while and basically know the details. I also suggest Reddit (ik, it sucks) bc they also have a lot of really old phandom users on there and they’ll talk about the Butch Hartman era of the Phandom. Lastly, I’d advise you to look up the Danny Phantom tag and then find the most liked, bc they’re most likely to be the oldest posts or what people enjoy most.

The funniest thing about the Twin AU to me is the stark difference in orientation for Danny & Damian with how I write it. Danny is a heterosexual wHORE with bi wife energy though loyal when he is with someone and Damian is I'm pretty sure extremely double demi and pan (he doesn't care your gender when it comes to dating but the chances of you getting him to fall for you are very slim)

It's Secret Santa time again in the Batpham discord server! I got the same person as last year, Strawberry_Avalanche! Which i don't mind! I just think it's funny. This is based off one of the provided prompts, featuring the Danny Phantom siblings (Danny, Jazz, and Danielle) ending up isekaid into a Studio Ghibli film. I had multiple ideas for different films, but this seemed the most straight-forwards. So the three of them are taking a snooze on Totoro!

Hi hi!! Back at it again with another Who Wrote That game on the @haunting-heroes-creative-games Discord server! This time, my fic was for the Who Wrote That: Demon Twins AU game run by the amazing @thewritingowl and @tourettesdog !! I really hope y’all enjoy!🥰💕

Danyal was the eldest twin, born first into a world promised to him through sweet words from the lips of others. His training was harder, the expectations placed on his shoulders far greater than those for Damian. He'd spent his whole life preparing to take up the mantle destined for him.

In spite of everything, he took the most pride in his ability to provide for his twin. However, all it took was a single threat against the one he cared for most to inspire true fear in his heart. When faced with no other option, Danyal took Damian away from the League.

When Damian needed clothes, he found them for him. When he needed to sleep, Danyal would find someplace hidden for the night. When Damian needed sustenance to keep running, Danyal did what he could to provide. In fact, that was how they found themselves in a small, old fashioned diner in Smallville, Kansas.

Danyal would do anything to keep Damian safe. To provide whatever he needed to stay strong.

But... who would take care of Danyal?

Hey besties!! This weeks wip is from a prompt on the batpham discord server again!

This is the prompt! it's currently called The Last Piece of Infinity but might be changed when I write the rest of it!

It was one of the rare times Constantine was completely sober during his day off. Well, it would be more accurate to say that he hadn't had the opportunity to drink yet, despite it being midday. No, his sobriety comes from the fact that he has to be at an auction later that night that is completely dry and won't let anyone that wasn't in. In his opinion the wankers just don't know what they are missing out on.

John has been lounged in his chair staring at the bottle of wine that sat on the side table for ten minutes now. He isn't one to resist temptation often and it shows. It's another two minutes before he's picking up the bottle and putting it to his lips, he can do the auction another day. 

Oh was he right about that, just not for the same reason. 

In that moment the very thing that holds The multiverse together, *snaps*. Folding into itself and it creaks and groans. The everpresent hum of the unending in between hults. 

He rushes out of his chair. Trying to get to the zeta tube connected to the House of mysteries, but John Constantine cannot breathe. All magic around seems to burn bright before fizzling out and burning him like a dying sun. He collapsed mere feet away from the zeta tube. This is is the end of everything and he's fucking sober for it.

In a blink of an eye he is back in his chair. All the magic back in place almost as if nothing happened. Something stabilized the multiverse but not without cost. The bottle of wine laid smashed on the ground. 

John sighed deeply. There goes his day off. Time to deal with the mother fuckers who decided playing with the thing that keeps the multiverse together was a good fucking idea.

Baby Tim (and teenage Tim as well) are afraid of knights in shining armor. They slay dragons like him after all.

The batfam has nooooo idea (other than Cass) about Tim's species.

Zatanna also went to Amity to ask for help with 5y old Timmy 'how to raise baby dragons' and ended up in a punchout with a bunch of ghosts. She is soooo done with this town.

How to use the Tumblr Tag Blocking and Content Filtering functions with nifty screen shots

First, what is Filtering Tags and what is Filtering Post Content.

Filtered Tags: the tags you hide here will be hidden from you dashboard and in search.

Filtered Post Content: Post content filtering searches the entire post for the word/phrase you add. Not just the tags.

Below is a series of screen shots showing where the blocking/content filtering option are and how to use them.

DESKTOP: got to setting and scroll down. Tag filtering and Content Filtering are right above the Community Labels and under where your birthday is displayed.

MOBILE: Click on the gear in the top right corner of your dashboard → go to General Settings → scroll down until you see Filtering. There you will be able to see all of your blocked tags and filtered content once you add it in.

You add a tag or content to filter by, by clicking the plus sign and typing in the EXACT phrase or tag you want to filter out. As you can see in the video below, if you only block Jazz Fenton/Jason Todd only things with that exact tag (for tag filtering) or phrase in the post (content filtering) will be hidden.

Therefore you CAN block Jazz Fenton/Jason Todd and still see Jazz and Jason content respectively.

Here is an example of tag filtering we did with the dpxdc tag so you can see how it will look if you have a blocked tag, and how to UNBLOCK a tag very easily. Note that it’s really easy to block and unblock tags, and the change takes place IMMEDIATELY so it’s easy to block/unblock at your leisure.

Gotham has been a lot safer since VladCo's ever-reluctant Co-CEO had to take over. The reconstruction budget hasn't been touched in 2 weeks. The bats are suspicious of the one multimillionaire who isn't publicly known.

Danny has never been happier to just be shut in and invent more for the AF line of security.

Things have never been easier for him.

Well...

Until he walks into his office on 2 hours of sleep and sees a collection of bats caught in his proto-AF nets.

After all, playing a musical instrument is known to engage both the left and right sides of the brain at once.

For Damian however, it provided an outlet. It was the one way he was allowed to express himself with no restriction or judgement.

Little did he ever think those skills he reverently nurtured would be the deciding factor between life and death.
