OOOOO a thinker.. Angeline and Krile....!

This is really difficult I think because Krile is one of the people she's gotten to know the least. She's happy to leave Sharlayan and all of its foibles and habits and tendencies behind, and like all of the Scions Sharlayan has left its mark on Krile. Angeline doesn't get awfully close to her (as of playthrough 2) and to her Krile is more like her boyfriend's coworker who makes him come in to work and gets mad when he switches out too much.

I think if Krile and Angeline had opportunities, or causes, (or lack of choice to the contrary) and had to work with each other, where Angeline was made to take Krile seriously, and then Krile would chill out a touch, they could actually TALK... then perhaps Dawntrail would have had a story where Krile does actually get to develop as a pictomancer and have an arc where she and Angeline fall in love in a brand new place, especially one as beautiful as this....

Well, I can see that working!

i have been trying to figure out why the whole 'fae god' and katniss everdeen things with kendrick lamar on here were bothering me, and i think i finally put it into words.

most posts like that are probably coming from well-meaning white people (i am also partially a White People, to be clear), who otherwise dont really listen to rap. they cannot find a way to 'relate' to this black man who sings largely about issues that affect the black community– and rather than try and meet him where he is, they have to fit him into these little tumblr cultural boxes before he can be 'palatable' to them.

they have to shave off the rougher/more abrasive aspects of his work and activism because it makes them uncomfortable, that way they can pigeonhole him into something that allows them to enjoy his work without the critical analysis that MUST come with it

he is not your fae god, he is not a YA protagonist, he is not a little gremlin or a cinnamon roll or a blorbo. He is a human being with opinions and beliefs that deeply permeate his work, and to ignore that truth is to ignore the entire point. PLEASE try to engage with artists' work outside of the lens of tumblr fandom, and i mean that as nicely as possible. you are doing YOURSELF a disservice

Moments that show more than platonic familial love between Sydney and Carmy.

The Bear represents a family as a whole, but I can't help but wonder on the recurring theme of Sydney and Carmy seeking inspiration from each other outside of work and failing to do so three times.

Since Sydney and Marcus have a purely platonic relationship, it's easy for them to hang out outside of work. Instead, the audience is teased with the possibility that sparks could fly if Sydney and Carmy spend time together in a non-work setting. That’s when they might grow closer, and inspiration will truly come alive.

I believe the show portrays that love serves as a source of inspiration and is fundamental to our purpose. For Carmy, underneath the trauma lies a deep love for Mikey. The relationships in this show are often redefined, and as some say, grief is love with nowhere else to go. All the love he has experienced for Mikey has been repurposed channeled through Sydney.

And for that love to continue between them, the best way to nurture it is by building a strong bond in their work relationship, one that feels closer than family.

I hope we will see an even more profound closeness between Sydney and Carmy, where and others (viewers and the bear universe) see that affection.
