I'll be honest I never really gave Tim a second thought on my first listen through, but on a relisten I've realized that yeah actually that's me. That would be me. I too would get really frustrated and angry and make a million bad sarcastic jokes if I was trapped in The Office That Makes You Die Badly and could do nothing but wait around to die badly in the office. And also still had to fill out timesheets. I mayhaps would also lose my composure just a little actually.

makes me crazy when queer people specifically think the shape of water was too weird of a film. like that's you, actually. both historically and explicitly. that is supposed to be you. historically, queer people have only been able to be portrayed in film as villains or monsters. the dracula the swamp monster the fish man that is YOU. explicitly in the movie the fish man is a stand in for people who are Other. that's why the first woman to care for him is a mute woman who has been ostracized by everyone EXCEPT FOR other people who have been othered in society mainly octavia spencer and her gay roommate whose names I forget currently. and that's why the minority characters in that film are trying to help elisa and the fishman escape the government and live happily ever after. bc they are the same. he is them. tell me u get that

guy who "should probably be in therapy"

#text #therapy tag #its been almost a year since my disastrous attempt to get back into therapy #and. 14? months since i quit #bc going was just Pissing me off like my therapist was a nice guy but like #it was literally Always just. summarizing my week. Maybe doing a workbook. and then being done 23 minutes into my 55m session #like i'd try to bring up stuff to talk abt and he'd brush past it #repeatedlyyyyy. like it was a PATTERN at some point i was just like. man this is just pissing me off #like im not getting any benefit anymore #ive been trying to figure out what the best modality for me would be but i keep coming up empty #and most of the therapists in the area slash in general seem to be short term cbt therapists #and if i see one more short term cbt therapist......... Man i cant do it i CANTTTT #i think the issue is behavioral therapy in general. dbt was helpful when i was 14 but like. i did it i learnt the skills #behavioral therapy in general focuses on . behaviors. and changing those And thats not my issue and focusing on Behaviors #when ive got big iceberg-style problems causing said Behaviors. is just not at all helpful #And like. im sick of hedging with therapists i want to find someone who i can just go to like. i think i have a dissociative disorder Pleas #help me be more functional and less distressed. But therapists/psychiatrists/professionals in general do NOT like hearing that #but also like. i KNOW MYSELFFFF im like 8 for 8 on correct self diagnoses i Know there is something going on in my brain #and i dont want to get to know a therapist over the course of several sessions only to find out they dont believe me #And the other thing i know about myself is i have no money and i dont know how health insurance works #And id need my therapy to be 100% covered. which like In this society. in this economy #God and there's also my other issue of 'feeling like i will be Exactly This Unwell Forever' and that ~april 2024 is 'as good as it will #ever get so why would i bother with therapy again'#or 'what can a therapist tell me that i cant tell myself' or 'what does talking to a professional do that Poasting on my Blog doesnt'#and the answers there are obvious if i use my brain but 'flop over and die' is my general response to every stressor ever #which is deeply unhelpful btw #I could get a lot of attention and a lot of help by hospitalizing myself but thats a) a little unnecessary rn b) stressful and #c) expensiveeeee. but it's worth considering #And trust it does not escape my notice thgat i would have a case worker to help with all this if i hadnt been too scared to #answer phone calls when i started the process in the crisis unit when i was 18

The end of this season kinda had good timing so that I can have my brain back while doing a much of research trips. I won't be very responsive, but I'll still be chilling out on Tumblr here or there with randomness and updating the GiyuShino fic when I have nights back at home (and I'll go put up Chapter 5 soon if my brain doesn't give out). Sword Fic will have to wait another month or so.

#i'm going to be sleeping in like #10 or 11 different places over the next few weeks #i did some panic research today and worked 10 hours because I had been busy with unrelated tasks #but only after a moment of not doing anything #kinda like Zenitsu needing a minute just to sit before heading up Mt. Natagumo #that was the feeling precisely #but once I got going I felt better #been tied up with other things and its been weeks since I've looked at any material I'm working with next week #but after several hours of reading I feel calmer

Tbh I think the most unrealistic thing about Gotham vigilantes is the idea that they don't wear gas masks as permanent parts of their suit. You cannot convince me that in a world where gas is consistently used against the canonically most paranoid group of people, that for no reason at all those people decided to raw dog air like that

What'd they do, just go "nah I'm fine with gas induced panic attacks that can be pretty easily protected against, it adds a certain je ne sais crow to the air" I think not

#my craziest cat lady post yet #but today I’m very proud of this kid for learning how to puke #yes you read this right #this 6 years old idiot has been afraid of puking her whole life #which… you might think might be good news for the person in charge of cleaning up any puke #but no #because what has been happening ever since i got her #is that she occasionally get some fur stuck in her throat #and she has the reflex to puke #if you’re a cat owner you know this sound very well #and then instead of letting it happen she has been fighting it and keeping her head pointing to the ceiling to prevent it from happening #so basically she has the reflex but she fights it so it looks like she’s choking for a few minutes #well this morning #maybe probably for the first time in her life #she finally did it #she puked #🥹😂#and she learned that it wasn’t so bad #even probably made her feel better 🤯#very very proud of this big idiot #cat lady life update

frankly speaking like i was there seated for the asajj ventress stuff i love her and have since 2003 girl is serving no matter what. it adds new stuff to her character and ykw i think she deserves it. the episode with the separatist general revering her? man. we know she regrets it. good people still relied on her fearsome persona.

did we really need an origin story for mr cad bane. Cad Bane? I think the guy just popped up fully formed from the earth like that he did not need an origin story for him and his hat. like oh cool i guess this guy had a mentor who wore The Hat and his childhood best friend became a cop and ooh look the best friend put bane in jail because bane was a bad man and look we made the first girl duros character in star wars canon to give cad bane a girlfriend and a son, and then bane kills the best friend and walks away from his child. what does this ADD? only thing im taking away from it is that his name is colby thats funny af.
