My 3D-printer is driving me nuts right now. It's a constant spaghetti festival whenever I try to print one specific thing. A thing that was printing perfectly fine yesterday but today it just won't. Everything else works just this one model...

I did a few facial expression exercises using the 3D model ! Just like with Chibi Esha : I take a screenshots of the model and then redraw the expressions over it. It really helped me improve how I draw them and how I use the brushes ~

Esha is actually super expressive. Definitely the type with a "subtitle face" 😬​

3d Modeling on mobile is a wee bit confusing uhhhhhh this is my first time trying to 3d Model something 💥💔

Also it feels weirdly tedious but tutorials on YouTube are way too long and I get an ego boost when I figure things out on my own :3

Mesh in Milkshape gets black spots when decimating or turns completly black??

So, I am finally converting some new things. These clothes are all from the same Sims 4 creator, who also converts these items from a different game into Sims 4. As soon as I plop the Item into Milkshape and decimate it with DirectX Mesh Tool it gets black spots.

I know that it can come from double vertex or something? Sometimes it also turns completly black... I googled and tried everything I found but it wasn't all really helpful. T_T I really love the pieces I picked out to convert and it seems like all are like this. I finished a pair of boots before this top which had the same issue, but it was easy fixed in MS when I clicked the vertex and moved it a little up or down, but it doesn't always work, as on this Longsleeve. Anyone able to help me please? 🥲 Would be much appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

June 6th, 2025 (Late Post) / June 7th, 2025

Sorry, this time I didnt post in time simply out of being tired. Lately when I work on the game I end up sleeping the second I get home, and yesterday had some extra stuff going on so I was extra tired.

Anyways I have good news! Checkpoint system and rings appear to be functional! The player loses rings and dies when touching an enemy with 0 rings, respawning at the checkpoint. Granted I say appear because I applied the simplest use of them and tested that way, so later I might have to fix some bugs related to it. I know I need to tinker more on the homing attack, it's not working properly since adding this type of hit detection. It's really tough to activate and feels like it only works when it wants...

If I get everything working, I think my next move will be adding something I won't spoil >:3 But alas that's for next week. In the meantime I've been working on this beta model for Heat. Why beta? Because it's literally my first time fully modeling, mapping, texturing, rigging, weight painting and animating in 3d. So she looks... quirky. Here's a little test animation I did of her walking shimmying

She looks so bad it's hilarious 😭 oh well it's what I'll have to make due with during these early development stages. I hope that by the time I start the actual levels I have a better model, probably made by my own hands again.

I'll try to come up with more promotional artwork this weekend, hopefully some more animations of her too. But for that I need to model Type H, which I think might end up better than she did. After all it's a friggin board.

So I fell down a rabbit hole and ended that journey with this, my first ever blender project. This is my new secondary fursona (I'll make some normal art of them soon) and for some reason they really inspired me to do this. They're really rough (and the eyes are kinda unsettling) but I think its a pretty neat first attempt and while blender is still an absolute enigma to me and I barely understand a fraction of it I do think I'll be continuing to do projects in blender.
