Well... I missed my goal of 9000 push-ups for the month of December, 2018, if being honest; however, I have successfully completed 8,500 push-ups more than I may have attempted otherwise. Sure, that’s a lot in a month at the age of 41, yes, while not recommended for resting times either at 300/day. Still, I feel it, yes, but... I’ve been noticing perspective a lot this month. . As in, practicing slowing way down when talking with someone and hearing not only the words that they say, but also trying to hear what’s behind those words. Where the person is coming from. What condition might they be in that might be affecting them and what they’re saying. . Am I hearing what someone is saying clearly, or am I filtering it though my own perspective? . In any type of relationship we might be in with other people, being able to “take a step back” while we’re engaging with someone else and not only hear the other person’s words but also try to discern where they’re coming from is very important. More important is that we notice our own perspective. This can not only change the outcome of a conversation, but it can also dramatically change the nature of the relationship. If we practice showing up and being clear and honest with ourselves, we’ll naturally be more clear and honest with other people. It can also make someone else feel more at ease and and secure and allow them the opportunity to show up also. . And bang. Ya got a more honest conversation. . This kind of thing is really fundamental to success in any kind of relationship, but it always begins with ourselves. Yesterday, I went on an hours walk in nature. I felt moved to step out of the house and mingle with the sight and sounds of my soul in the great outdoors.

As I walked my higher Self gently interrogated me with the same question that has been unrelenting, "What is important to you now?" The question was jarring and yet compassionate. The analytical and the intuitive parts of me sprung into action.

I chose to be real and unedited. I answered with, "My financial freedom." This answer has been the same for some time now and I simply let it out to mySelf and this proved to be releasing for me.

And then, this morning's meditation reminds me of the intrinsic value of my spirit's decision. The call to "Begin within." is the same encouragement I receive when I enquire about anything.

I Am the beginning of my abundance and my end of all kinds of poverty.

If it's going to Be, it's up to Me.

Our ancestors are reminding me of who I really Am.
