I didn’t know I was—until my daughter decided to cut 8 inches off! She was so confident and completely unbothered by the idea of letting go of the length, but I was surprisingly emotional about it. As I edited this video, I understood why: her independence and bravery were a reminder for me to let go, too.

The big chop was a special moment for both of us, and she’s absolutely loving her fresh new look—so am I! It’s amazing how something as simple as a haircut can teach us so much about growth, change, and letting go.
