introducing . . . the bigsister!reader universe family
of course , up first we have bigsister!reader. she’s the oldest (20) , and so she has to take care of her siblings whether she wants to or not. she’s obstinate and persuasive. she doesn’t take shit and she’s much stronger than people give her credit for. her hard exterior often blurs the fact that’s she’s still a young woman , and she wants to be able to live her life and have fun and fall in love.
the second oldest is dallas. he’s seventeen and would be a senior in high school had he not dropped out— much to bigsister’s differing opinion on the situation. think whiteboy!carl… but he loves his sister more than anything and he’s always willing to help out around the house even if he complains. he’s also bigsister’s unspoken favorite.
then we have shawna. she’s the last teenager at fifteen years old. she’s a little genius , and everyone can agree that she deserves far more than what she’ll probably get out of life. she’s a miniature version of you— same hair , eyes , smile , nose. everyone always calls her mini y/n , and she isn’t bothered by it one bit.
parker is twelve , and he’s a menace. he’s setting abandoned buildings on fire , getting into fights at school , and blowing shit up. he’s honestly a more chaotic version of dallas. bigsister tends to let things go with him— always after a scolding , because she understands he’s just acting out because of mom and dad not being around like they used to.
the twins are eight. ethan & elijah. angels sent from heaven above , and thank god because bigsister wasn’t too sure the household could handle two more parkers. they’re the epitome of eight year old boy without any of the bad behavior. ethan is older by six minutes but he’s a little shorter. they’re identical , and they also figured out they can get away with switching identities when the house is more frazzled than usual. they’re identical constantly try to trick pope & cleo just for fun.
and finally aaliyah the baby. she’s five and funny. she’s got the biggest crush on john b and makes it very well known. she flirts with him and asks him to go on tea party dates— he always says yes. she’s young enough to not realize how fucked up her home life truly is , so she’s just a ball of sunshine. she slips up and calls bigsister mom sometimes:(
their mother , heather , wasn’t around. she dipped every so often for different amount of times without as much as a word. but after aaliyah turned two , she left and hadnt come home in awhile— three years to be more specific.
and their father was the same , but he was around more often than not. bigsister usually had an idea of where he was on the island. chris was a drunk for the majority of his life , and having seven too many kids with a woman he claimed to love but so clearly despised didn’t change that. in an out of the house , using the younger kids to help him out with shady things because the older kids stopped trying with him years ago. but bigsister? oh how he loved her. “best thing t’ever happen to me , kid,” he’d drunkenly slur to the girl as she tucked him into his bed after a heavier drinking night. it killed her every time.
on the bright side , bigsister had the best three friends anyone in kildare could ask for. an obvious starter would be pope. they were neighbors , and so his mom and dad would help out when they could. mrs. heyward had no problem babysitting when bigsister really needed the help , and eventually pope was recruited as a friend. when cleo came around , she became a tight knit part of the family as well. the pair never had problems with waltzing into the house unannounced , and the kids never had a problem with it either , loving when their big sister’s friends came over.
and of course there’s john b. he’s bigsister’s rock. best friends from a young age from a moment they couldn’t even remember anymore. it was like they were always a part of each other’s lives. he often stays at the house with bigsister just because the extra supervision is helpful , but he also liked being able to help her out. he helped pay bills , watch the kids— he even showed up to the school when parker got in trouble one time as a guardian. him and bigsister fuck on the dl.

Big Sister PT.1, PT.2
“Okay, Y/n and I will share a bed. And you and Matt can share a bed,” Nick instructs pointing between Chris and Matt as you all entered your shared hotel room. He was always so bossy towards the rest of you, feeling no shame in directing every situation.
“Umm no, how about you three share a bed and I sleep all by myself,” you say. You’re only half-joking, this is your the first time away from your husband in a while and the last thing you wanted to do was share a bed with one of your brothers. But, seeing as there’s only two beds, you’re going to have to share with one of them whether you wanted to or not.
“Ew don’t be sassy,” Nick replies, dumping his bags on one of the beds. You roll your eyes, dumping your stuff onto the same bed.
“No, since you don’t wanna share with me get your dirty things off my bed,” Nick says, grabbing your things and throwing them onto the other bed dramatically. Chris and Matt are watching in amusement, you and Nick always managed to get into an argument no matter the situation.
“Me and Matt are sharing, you guys can sleep on the floor,” Chris comments, plopping down on the mattress and kicking his shoes off. The flight from L.A to Texas was exhausting, mostly because he had Nick yapping in his ear about the week’s itinerary. Then Matt wouldn’t stop getting up to use the restroom, the anxiety of flying hitting him like a ton of bricks.
Matt joins him on the bed, kicking his shoes off and propping his feet on your things. “Matt! Get your stinky boy feet off my stuff!” you exclaim, slapping his feet dramatically. He erupts in a fit of laughter, wiggling his toes inside his socks to taunt you. Chris laughs too, joining Matt and rubbing his feet on your bags.
“You two are disgusting,” Nick comments with a small chuckle, grabbing a few things as he heads into the restroom. You pinch Chris’s pinky toe, causing him to yelp in pain and move his feet immediately. You send a warning look towards Matt, ready to pinch him too if he doesn’t stop.
“What? My feet are clean!” Matt protests.
The long awaited day has finally arrived, your brothers were collabing with Sam and Colby. At first you were content with watching from the sidelines, only accompanying them because they invited you. But, they were successfully able to persuade you into being a main character for the video. Ever since your appearance on the Cut The Camera podcast, the fans have fallen in love with you. Every time the triplets mention you in a video, their comments are flooded with requests for them to bring you back.
You’ve been a fan of Sam and Colby for as long as you can remember, following them since their days on vine. Also, because you’re close in age with them, you can easily relate to their content. Not to mention that you had the biggest crush on Colby when you first became a fan. Your brothers knew how big of a fan you were, so of course they had to invite you along.
When Sam and Colby mentioned that the filming would be done in the Haunted Driscoll Hotel in Austin, your brothers jumped at the opportunity to invite you, it was the perfect opportunity for you to finally meet two of your favorite content creators. Plus Austin was extremely close to your small town, so the drive wasn’t too long, and you were more than happy to spend some quality time with your three brothers.
The four of you are currently meeting Sam and Colby at a barbecue restaurant near the Driscoll Hotel. First impressions are important, so you’ve dressed your best and even done your makeup. It’s not that you want to impress them, it’s just that you’ve been a fan for so long that you want them to remember you at your best. Your brothers can sense how excited you are, rolling their eyes at your fangirl-like behavior.
You pull up to the restaurant parking lot, an excited expression written all over your face. Matt, who’s sitting in the seat behind the passenger seat, is the first to notice this, “Calm down, buddy.” You couldn’t help it though, you felt like a middle schooler finally getting to meet her favorite celebrity.
“I am calm,” you reply coyly, sending him an annoyed look through the rear view mirror. Chris who’s sitting in the passenger seat speaks as he lowers the radio, “You’re literally squealing like a little girl.”
You scrunch your nose, you don’t like that word it made it sound like you were an animal, “ew don’t say that. It’s weird.”
“Don’t say what?” Nick asks, finally tuning into the conversation.
“Squeal. Chris said I’m ‘squealing,’ “ you do air quotes around the word, each time you say it it sounds more and more cursed. “Cause you literally are. Don’t forget you’re a MARRIED woman,” Matt chimes in, becoming annoyed with your behavior. In reality you weren’t even being weird, you were just excited, your brothers were just making it weird.
You roll your eyes at them, they’re overreacting. Your left hand comes up from your lap, wiggling your ring finger so they could see the diamond ring, “pretty hard to forget.”
Matt’s about to reply, but Nick notices Sam and Colby approaching your vehicle. They’re squinting their eyes, trying to see through the dark tinted windows. “Shush! They’re coming!” Nick exclaims, making a quick hand signal in front of Matt’s face to shut him up. Matt slaps his hand away, “Nick get your hand out of my fucking face.”
Another argument is about to begin, but Nick opens his car door before anything else can be said. The three of you follow suit, joining Nick as he walks towards Sam and Colby. With each step you felt the nerves bubbling up in your stomach, they were really right there! It felt so surreal, it felt like an actual dream.
As the pair walked closer they greeted you all, unafraid and without any hint of awkwardness in their tone. This made it easier to meet them and you couldn’t help but let your hug linger a little too long. Your brothers watched intently, eyes closing in on Colby’s hand’s that wandered too far south for their liking, but they didn’t say anything.
When you all finished eating, the conversation between the group came naturally. Most of the questions were directed towards your brothers, seeing as they were the famous ones, but Colby managed to create a linguistic flow between just the two of you. It was easy to talk to him; you two were close in age and had so much in common because of it.
“So you live in Texas?” Colby asks, his finger pinching his straw so he can stir his drink around. He has a big, cheeky smile on his face as he locks eyes with you, mindlessly flirting with you.
You didn’t even notice he was flirting, you were just so excited to be meeting him. Plus, you weren’t flirting, you were just fangirling. “Yeah, I moved down here not too long ago. I still travel a lot back to Boston and sometimes I’ll go visit them in L.A,” you reply, motion towards your brothers who are deeply immersed in a conversation with Sam.
Colby hums in response, taking a sip of his drink. His eyes are trained on you as he replies, “Which do you like more? Texas, Massachusetts, or California?”
You send him a look of hurt, pretending to be offended by such a difficult question. “How could I ever choose?” you reply playfully, a small laugh following. Each place held a different significance for you and was special in its own way, but you’d definitely choose Massachusetts over anything. It was your home base, the place that you and all your brothers, including Justin, called home.
“C’mon just one,” he teases. His hands inch slowly towards yours that are resting on the table, but you’re too innocent to notice that he’s actively trying to make a move on you.
“Okay, fine. Massachusetts.”
Colby hums in response as his hand finally reaches yours, squeezing it tightly in his firm grip. You look down in shock, finally realizing what he was doing. Your diamond wedding ring was on full display, but even that didn’t stop him.
As soon as Colby’s skin comes in contact with yours, your brothers notice. Their focus goes from their conversation with Sam to the horrific scene on the table. Sam notices the shift in attention and follows their gaze, mentally facepalming at his friend’s boldness. Leave it to Colby to flirt with someone they barely met, someone who is directly related to their soon to be ‘business partners.’
Sam kicks Colby from under the table, trying to signal that he needs to stop whatever he’s doing, “So, should we start heading to the hotel?”
Colby let’s go of your hand reluctantly.
“Yeah we should go,” you say, pulling your hands off the table and into the pocket of your sweater. Your mind was racing, did THE Colby Brock have a crush on you? You look towards your brothers expectantly, hoping they’d chime in so you can leave this awkward situation.
“Okay. We’ll meet you there,” Colby comments, standing from his spot across you and patting Sam on the back, leading him out the door as they briefly wave you all goodbye. He steals one last look at you, a smirk on his face. You all wave back while watching as they walk to their car, waiting until they’re fully inside to talk about what just happened.
Nick is the first to speak, “What the FUCK was that?” His finger motions erratically where your and Colby’s hands were previously intertwined. A disgusted look is etched all over his face. You didn’t even know what just happened, so you don’t respond.
“Did he fucking hold your hand?” Chris asks, pinching the bridge of his nose. He was fighting to keep professional, for some reason it really bothered him that Colby was ballsy enough to pull a move like that on you in front of them.
“I think so. He was just being friendly,” you try to reason, twirling your wedding ring on your finger from under the table. “That was NOT just a friendly interaction, Y/n. He was literally eye fucking you,” Nick comments again, gathering all the trash on the table onto his tray. Your face goes red, had he really been flirting with you?
Matt’s face scrunches in disgust, “Nick don’t say shit like that. It’s fucking weird.”
“What! It’s true!” Nick replies, getting up and tossing his tray in the trash. “Nick just shut the fuck up, you’re being weird,” Chris interjects, sending Nick a warning look. Nick was placing an image in their head that they didn’t want to imagine.
“That’s not true, Nick. He was just trying to include me,” you say, getting up from your seat and throwing your own tray away.
When your brothers had first invited you to be a part of this collaboration you were anxious to enter a hotel surrounded by paranormal activity but excited to meet two of your favorite YouTubers, now you’re just nervous to be around Colby again.
“Yeah trying to include you in his bed,” Nick jokes in a dramatic tone, leading the way back to the car.
“Nick, actually shut the fuck up. I’m going to punch you,” Matt speaks this time. He’s so uncomfortable with this conversation, mainly because you’re his sister and he hates how Nick is talking about you, but also because he doesn’t know whether to take on the roll of the overprotective brother or to let it slide for the sake of the video.
All four of your brothers have been overprotective of you for as long as you can remember. It started with Justin, he’d protect you from bullies at school, stray dogs when you were walking home, and when you got older he began chasing away any boy that got too close. That’s one of the reasons why he completely shut you out when he found out about your relationship with Jack, he felt like he failed as an older brother to protect you and the worst part was that it was with his best friend.
Eventually, when Justin moved away, Matt and Chris assumed the role of protective brothers and would do the same. At first it was cute, just your two little brothers trying to protect you from small things like a scary movie, a stormy day, or a hot pan on the stove. But eventually, as they got older, it turned into them sending dirty looks at any man who looked at you for too long. They might’ve felt this way towards Jack, your husband, if they were aware of your relationship, but because you two kept it a secret for so long it bloomed without the protective watch of your brothers. Once you got married, they felt a sense of responsibility and loyalty towards Jack, wanting to protect you from anything and everyone, especially when Jack wasn’t around to do it. It felt like their duty was to announce to the world, ‘our sister is married and we will fight any guy who comes near her!’
Nick was more laid back about these things, he knew you were fully capable of defending yourself if needed and he honestly didn’t see the big deal in mindless flirting. It’s not like you were constantly flirting with random strangers, it’s just that he knew you were fully capable of taking care of yourself. Plus, as a gay man, he was better able to distinguish between a man who was flirting and a man who was just being polite. Also, growing up you would always give Nick the best boy advice, so he knew you had a good head on your shoulders. But, in this specific case, he was able to tell that Colby was definitely flirting and for some reason he felt a little weird about it too. Sure he was cracking jokes about it, but he still couldn’t help but feel the need to sling an arm around your shoulder and pull you away from any further conversations with Colby.
The drive to the hotel was awkward and quiet, the only sound being Chris’s music over the car stereo. Matt insisted on driving, mumbling something about needing a distraction, earning you a seat in the back. They all knew that as soon as you arrived to the hotel, Colby wouldn’t cease his incessant flirting and they’d be forced to be on guard. This was meant to be a fun, safe hangout, but instead they’re on edge at the thought of a stranger putting the moves on their sister.
Finally you arrive to the hotel, Matt grumbles an almost inaudible “we’re here” before turning the car off and hopping out. You all get off, but as an older sister you can’t let them go in there in a bad mood, it would ruin the fun and definitely wouldn’t look good on camera, “wait guys, come here.” They were walking up to the hotel already, but stop in their tracks to join you in a quick group huddle.
“Let’s get rid of all this nasty, bad energy,” you instruct, pretending to dust the bad energy off and throw it away.
You always used to do this with them growing up, especially on days when you had to drive them to school and they would let their sour moods ruin their morning. Nick and Chris look at you with goofy smiles, reminiscing on childhood memories of you cheering them up before school.
“That’s so embarrassing, I’m not doing that,” Nick laughs, watching as you begin doing a small dance to get rid of even more bad energy. Chris, who’s unashamed to partake in anything, immediately copies you. He’s doing a random, silly dance that puts a smile on his face right away, washing away any previous lingering ill feelings towards Colby. “Chris you’re actually insane,” Nick laughs again, watching as Chris twirls his arms and kicks his feet.
“It’s working though, all my bad energy is gone,” Chris comments with a laugh, using his arms to figuratively push the bad energy off of him. Nick decides to join, stomping his feet loudly on the floor before hooting, “Oh yeah! Woohoo!”
At this point you, Nick and Chris are dancing around Matt like crazy people and he’s trying his hardest not to laugh. He holds a tight lipped smile, his head tilted upward and away from you all. “Come on Matt, let those bad energies go,” you tease, poking his sides. He’s pretty unrelenting, not wanting to embarrass himself in front of any wandering eyes. Chris and Nick join you in encouraging Matt and after a while he finally gives in, doing his signature double dutch move, a stank face forming on his face.
“Yeah Matt! Get in to it!” Chris exclaims, hyping his brother up.
The vibes are completely different now, going from dark and moody to light and playful. “Okay guys, let’s forget about whatever happened at the restaurant and just try to have fun,” you say, smiling at your three brothers. The last thing you wanted was to ruin their chance at an awesome collaboration.
They hum in unison, the four of you walking up to the hotel, mentally preparing for the night ahead.
The hotel was eery, if you would’ve come alone you might’ve been more scared, but your brothers are here which makes it less scary. The tour guide walks you through the most haunted areas of the hotel, explaining its backstory in great detail as you all joked around. Throughout the tour Colby kept sneaking subtle glances at you, brushing past you, leading you into rooms with a hand on the small of your back, and directing many of his questions your way. Of course your brothers noticed, but the cameras were rolling so there wasn’t much they could do.
The room you all are currently exploring is lined from wall to wall with mirrors, Sam and Colby explain how each pair of mirrors is rumored to create a vortex to an alternate dimension. The guide explains that the mirrors were a gift from a man who used to live in the hotel for his beautiful wife Carlotta. Colby is quick to comment, “If she looks anything like Y/n, she must’ve been gorgeous.” Sam, who’s holding the camera, pans it towards you to catch your reaction. All you can manage to do is smile awkwardly and mutter a small, “thanks.”
Matt, who still held some resentment from earlier, instinctively slings an arm over your shoulder and pulls you into him. Chris stands closer to you too, trying to remind Colby that even if he did find you beautiful, you were still their sister.
After a while, the tour guide leaves and lets you guys examine the mirrors in further detail. They’re so beautiful and intricate, if they weren’t so expensive you might ask for one in your own home. Matt still holds you close, the four of you walking in a group around the room.
“I love these mirrors,” you whisper to your brothers, brushing your fingers on the delicate, ornate designs of the frames.
“I bet Jack would’ve loved them too,” Nick comments slyly, raising his voice a little to ensure that Colby hears him. Sam pans the camera to him, “Who’s Jack? Is that like another one of your brothers?”
You’re so embarrassed you want to shrink into the floor, disappear into thin air, maybe even fall through the floor and into the core of the Earth. “Yeah, our brother in law,” Matt replies, pulling you in even closer to his side.
“Oh cool, so like another sister’s husband? Or… Nick, are you married?” Colby asks, completely obviously. He looks between you and your brothers, trying to decipher who Jack was to you all. Sam, who understood from the get go what Matt was getting at, wants to facepalm at his friend’s stupidity.
“What? No. Y/n’s husband,” Nick replies, pointing at you.
“Oh… Ohhhhh,” Colby’s face flushed a bright shade of red when he realizes that you’re married. You send him an apologetic smile, both for not telling him earlier and because your brothers were being so embarrassing.
For the rest of the night Colby keeps his distance and even apologizes to you off camera. He makes a comment along the lines of, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know. That doesn’t make you any less beautiful though.” You accept his apology, thank him and Sam for inviting you, and gush slightly about how long you’ve been a fan. Colby makes sure to apologize to your brothers too, he didn’t mean any disrespect with his flirting, but he still feels the need to make amends. Chris and Nick are quick to forgive, but Matt takes a little more convincing.
Overall, you guys had a lot of fun despite Colby’s flirtatiousness and they’d actually love to collab with them again.
On the way back to the hotel you can’t help but comment on their behavior, “you know I didn’t need you guys to speak up for me, right?” Your eyes are trained on the road, hands firmly gripping the steering wheel.
“Mhm sure,” Chris replies from the passenger seat, scrolling on his phone and working towards tuning you out. They defended you and protected your honor, why were you getting I pset?
“Sometimes we can’t help it. We see something we don’t like and we just wanna body slam everyone to the ground,” Nick replies jokingly, looking at you through the rearview mirror. He’s hoping that you’ll laugh, or even crack a joke in return, but you just keep your eyes trained on the road. That’s when he realizes you’re actually bothered.
“Okay, but it was a bit much. Matt with his arm over my shoulder, Chris standing in front of me like some type of guard dog, and then you making snarky comments.”
Nick rolls his eyes, his comments weren’t that snarky. Chris finally looks up from his phone, “did you just call me a dog?” You side eye him, holding in your laughter.
“Should we just let a guy be creepy next time?” Matt asks, watching as you pick at the steering wheel.
“It wasn’t just some guy though, it was THE Colby Brock.”
“Doesn’t matter, he was still being creepy,” Matt’s response is quick. He was usually quiet and reserved, but when he knew he was right he didn’t back down. “Whatever,” you grumble, there’s no point in arguing with someone who thinks they’re right no matter what you say. Especially when that person is Matt.
The car goes quiet for a while, the hum of the engine being the only buffer between you and the awkward silence. Chris is still thinking long and hard though, had you really compared him to a dog? He couldn’t decide if he found it cool or if he was offended.
“Did you call me a dog?!” Chris exclaims, breaking the silence abruptly and earning a round of laughter from the rest of you. No matter what, you and your brothers always bounced back, you could never be mad at each other for too long.

As the youngest sibling, Tuktirey, or Tuk, had formed a strong attachment to you. Her curious nature often led her to seek comfort in your presence, and she had grown accustomed to having you by her side. The transition from the Omatikaya forests to the Metkayina reefs proved challenging for Tuk, who struggled to adjust, expressing her dissatisfaction through whining and sulking. However, Upon arrival, her initial wariness slowly gave way to wonder as she explored the new environment. However, the encounter with Tonowari and Ronal, particularly when Ronal grasped her tail, left Tuk feeling uneasy. She instinctively ran to your side. Clinging onto your arm with a frown., she whispered, 'I don't like it here,' as she looked to you for reassurance and comfort. Tuk hid underneath (Y/N) riding cloak seeing comfort. Tuk clung to you, searching for some sort of comfort. (Y/N) chuckled at the adorable sight of her younger sister huddling beneath her ridingcloak. Tuk's large, curious eyes peering out at the world around them from around the cloak's edge. (Y/N) reached out a hand and gently ruffled Tuk's hair with a warm smile. She knew that her sister was a bit timid and not used to so many people.
"Hey, it's okay."(Y/N) spoke softly, trying to soothe Tuk's worries. "They're just curious, they won't hurt you." (Y/N) quickly picked her up from the ground As you picked her up, Tuk wrapped her arms around your neck. Pressing her cheek against your chest she held herself tight to you. With a soft, childish pout, she continued to mutter and mumble against you, all the while continuing to examine the people of the Metkayina with her big, wide eyes.You could faintly feel her tail wrap around your ankle as she held herself against you.
"They're... weird." Tuk mumbled against you, her arms still wrapped around your neck. She looked at the Metkayina in wonder, her face turning pensive with every passing moment. The Metkayina people looked nothing like the people of the Omatikaya tribe, she thought to herself.(Y/N) covered her mouth
Tuk scrunched her face up in annoyance when you covered her mouth, mumbling something incoherent underneath your hand as she attempted to speak. You could feel her tail wrap a little bit tighter around your ankle, a clear indication that she didn't like being shushed like a child - despite the fact that she was a child. After all, she had her own opinions she wanted to voice!
(Y/N) readjusted her hold on Tuk she was starting to get heavy and slip Tuk wiggled a little in your arms, trying to get comfortable. She also looked a bit sleepy and tired from all the commotion happening around her. Tonowari glanced back at Tuk, noticing her squirming, and spoke up.
Tonowari spoke "She looks tired. We can set you up with a place to rest before anything is decided ." Even though(Y/N) was the eldest and she had been comforting her sister she was still young and still relied on her parents for some things.she tucked herself by the nearest parent
Jake noticed you tucking yourself against him and Neytiri, seeing the uneasiness and worry on your face. He gave you a slight reassuring smile, patting your shoulder in attempt to comfort you. As for Neytiri, she glanced down at you for a brief moment, a hint of worry on her face, before she looked up at Tonowari with a nod.
Neytiri agreed "Yes... I think that would be best."Tonowari nodded back in response, gesturing for you and your family to follow him. He led you through the Metkayina camp, through a maze of woven huts and tents. As you passed by, curious Metkayina children peaked out from some of the huts, watching you and your siblings with wide eyes. Eventually, Tonowari stopped in front of an empty tent and waved his hand towards the entrance.
"You can stay here for now. It should be comfortable enough." Tonowari spoke once again
Jake and Neytiri both nodded in thanks, their gazes moving over the tent before looking back at Tonowari. "This will do. Thank you." Neytiri reached out and grabbed Tuk, taking her from your arms and carrying her into the tent. Jake waited until both the kids and Neytiri were safely inside.
~~~~~~~~~
That night well everyone slept in their hammocks Tuk scurried into(Y/N) waking her up (Y/N) groaned slightly as she was woken from her sleep by Tuk's stirring. Her eyes cracked open as she felt the small weight on the hammock. She turned to look at her younger sister in the semi-darkness, a mix of annoyance and confusion on her face.*
(Y/N), groggily incuired"Tuk… what are you doing? It's late…" Tuk looked up at you with wide, pleading eyes. There was a hint of fear in her expression, and it was clear that she had something on her mind. "I don't like it here." Tuk whispered to you, looking around warily before turning her gaze back up to you. Looking for comfort in her older sibling.
As you glanced down at your sister, you saw her wide, green eyes peering up at you. She was still a child, despite being seven years old
- and right now, she was scared.
The entire situation and move away from the Omatikaya clan, and to the Metkayina reefs, was scaring Tuk. So, Tuk clung to you, searching for some sort of comfort.
(Y/N)’s annoyance quickly faded as she took in Tuk's frightened expression. She could never resist her little sister's pleading eyes, especially when she was scared. Softening her gaze, she pushed aside the blankets, making room for Tuk to slip in beside her.
Tuk immediately scurried into the space, burrowing under the blankets next to you. She snuggled close to you, her small body fitting perfectly against your side. A sigh of relief escaped her as she felt the warmth and comfort of your presence.
“Alright but go straight to sleep” Tuk nodded eagerly, clinging tightly to you. A small yawn escaped her as she snuggled closer, her eyelids already growing heavy with fatigue. Tuk, in a sleepy voice responsed “ok I will... promise..."
Over the next few days(Y/N) stayed close to her siblings never not keeping watch
Jake and Neytiri were both silently grateful for your protectiveness over your siblings. Especially with all the wary glances and muttered comments they had heard from the Metkayina as they settled in the village. Although they tried to keep a calm composure and act as though the odd looks and comments didn't affect them, a tension was still present in the air.
Meanwhile, Tuk, Loak, and Kiri were all sticking close to you, either holding onto your hand or staying by your side. None of them liked the strange looks they were receiving either.
Tuk had wondered a bit to far from their pod and(Y/N) immediately dragged her closer Tuk let out a quiet huff when you suddenly grabbed her hand and pulled her back to the pod. She pouted a little as she looked up at you with a slight frown on her face. "Hey! | was just looking around!"
“Well you can look around in front of the pod it's the same water and sand " Tuk gave another huff as she crossed her little arms over her chest, clearly unimpressed with your overprotectiveness. She raised a brow at you, a slightly defiant gleam in her eyes. "I'm not a baby you know. I can walk around just fine by myself."
(Y/N) gave her a look. Tuk held your gaze with her own, determined to not be the first one to look away. Her little arms crossed over her chest stubbornly, and her tail was twitching with mild annoyance. "Well, it's true! I can walk on my own, and I can explore without you always being there to drag me back!!" “Fine then next don't come find me when you're scared and you can forget about getting into my bed” Tuk's eyes widened slightly as she heard your threats, and a flash of panic crossed her face. She was stubborn, but she also didn't like the thought of not cuddling with you when she got scared at night or during scary storms. Her resolve quickly faded, a hint of guilt showing on her face. “Hey! That's not fair!" She cried out .
(Y/N) couldn't help but smirk seeing Tuk's expression falter, the threat working on her as expected. But they still had a bit of a stubborn look on their face, trying to maintain some sense of dignity. “Well then, you better stay close to the pod. No more wandering off, got it?" Tuk huffed again, her face reddening slightly from embarrassment at how easily you manipulated her. However, she nodded her head obediently, begrudgingly agreeing to stay close to the pod. Her voice was a mixture of irritation and submission as she mumbled her response.
"Yeah, yeah, fine... I'll stay close to the pod. No more wandering off..." Jake and Neytiri, who were nearby, exchanged a knowing glance and a faint smirk. They had been subtlety watching the interaction between you and Tuk, amused by how quickly you managed to get Tuk to agree to your terms. They knew how stubborn their youngest child could be, and it seemed you had figured out the perfect method to handle her. “Hey you know what why don’t you go bug your mom and the old man mmm?” *Tuk pouted slightly as you suggested she go bother their parents. She let out an exaggerated sigh, still slightly annoyed by your earlier threat. But despite her irritation, she couldn't help but be amused by the idea of bothering Neytiri and Jake. "Fine, I guess I'll go bother them... maybe they'll be less boring than you.”
“Ohh no I get a moment of silence with the yapping brat “ Tuk's eyes widened with mock offense, her little fists clenching at her sides. With a slight huff, she gave you a pouty glare, and her tail flicked with irritation. She tried to keep her voice steady, but a hint of playfulness laced her words. "Hey! I am not a yapping brat! I'll have you know, I can be quite entertaining when I want to be!”
“ yeah sure now off you go” she pushed her by the head . Tuk yelped slightly as you pushed her forward gently, stumbling for a moment before regaining her balance. She grumbled a little under her breath, still feeling a bit annoyed by your playful push. She shot a mock glare back at you, her lip twitching as she fought back a stubborn smile. "Oh, fine, fine! I'm going! Sheesh, you're so bossy!" She turned away from you and scampered off in the direction of her parents. Skyler grabbed her before she left and instead went outside the hut to the edge of the walk way and dropped her in the water
Tuk let out a small squeal as you picked her up and tossed her into the water in one fluid motion. She splashed into the water, coming up a moment later with a look of surprise and glee on her face. She giggled, her tail swishing happily through the water "Hey! I wasn't expecting that!" “That’s the whole point brat” (Y/N) retorted.
Damon, Toshiko and Eva with a platonic s/o thats the most cuddly, most adorable big sister-like friend.
No problem, buddy. I'm sorry to make you wait so long. I hope it was worth it. And I hope reader is the best big sister for these three. Sorry I've been away for so long…. I'm sorry that I almost gave up. hope my work will compensate you.
Pice of Pie with Cup of Coffee! Ready to receive!
Big sister s/o who is best friend
Paring: Character x Fem!BigSister!Reder
Tumblr media
Damon Maitsu
You are the Ultimate Therapist. There is a year difference between you
In appearance, you are a mirror image of Damon in the female mirror. However, in character, you are his opposite. You are always calm, patient, helpful and get along well with people.
You saw that after, Damon is close to exploding while talking to Wolfgang. You stepped in, behind im Damon burst out and said something he didn't mean.
Before you dispersed to your rooms, you entered the storeroom, taking from it a set of walkie-talkies.
You are officially the sister of the whole class.
Damon is no one along the lines of MasterChef or a professional chef. His breakfasts, however, are the stuff of legends. You are the only one who has, the privilege of having Damon get up in the morning and fry you a stack of pancakes or bake you cinnamon rolls.(Once Kai saw you two in the kitchen. He brought several people with him. Damon wanted to strangle him, but you calmed him down. With a little motivation, Damon made for everyone that day, bread pudding for breakfast. It became a hit in class)
Damon, has no problem with things getting messed up for him. He usually goes shopping and buys new clothes. However, the sweater he wears he got from you. Whenever he damages it, he comes to you and asks you to fix it.(Damon is always embarrassed if he damages his sweater. You, however, always never see the problem. You are always ready, him to make a new sweater)
No one knows that, not even you. Damon always, when he gets stressed during debates, puts his hand in his pocket. There he always has the snake key ring he got from you. Although he's not superstitious, it's his good luck talisman.
Do you think Damon is not the party type ? You are right. The exception is dress-up parties. These types of parties are conquered by you two. The Maitsu siblings always have the best outfit. For the first Halloween at the academy, you performed like Tanjirou and Nezuko.(Your most legendary disguise, was how you came to be, as Morticia and Gomez. You as Gomez, Damon, as Morticia. It turned out, that evening, that Damon walks better in stilettos than you do)
Damon suffers from sleeplessness, so most often, once you spend the night at his place or in your room. To help him fall asleep, you sing him a lullaby that your grandmother used to sing to you.
Tumblr media
Eva Tsunaka
You are Ultimate Kendoka. There is a year difference between you.
You are the only person who knows her secret.
Grace hates you, and Kai, Mark and Jett, are even afraid of you.(Maybe Eva is indifferent to all the insults directed toward her. You, however, are no longer indifferent)
You are fans of Demon Slayers. You spent most of your time at home, so you two were looking for all sorts of things to kill time. You got so caught up in this anime that you even taught Eve the basics of kendo.(Once you went to a convention, as Mitsuri and Obanai)
When Eva was sad, you always combed her hair. It calms her down, and combing her hair is a pleasant feeling. Especially since Eva hates doing it, so she prefers it all the more when someone does it for her.
You know everything about everything in the classroom. No matter what happens, you guys know it. You exchange new information in the news on a regular basis.
When you met Damon and Diane, you immediately loved them. Being Eva's new friends, they automatically became your friends.(Damon almost fainted when he went to see you along with Eva. Still everyone remembers what you did with Grace and Kai. Of course, Kai exaggerated it, but others don't need to know about it 😘)
You and Eva have your own language that you use to communicate when you are in public.(It is a combination of Latin, Japanese with the addition, a few syllables of Slavic. It is so complex and little understood that no one even tries to decipher it. It makes you wonder whether to teach it to Damon)
Since childhood you have shared a room. You may have separate ones, however, as besties, you prefer to live in one. Of course, movie nights, home beauty parlors, late-night gossip, pillow battles, late-night game marathons and many other entertainments have been your routine for years.
You got her into Pokemon games. Since the second generation, the obligatory Pokemon in Eva's lineup, is Scizor, which she calls by your name.
Tumblr media
Toshiko Kayura
You are the former Ultimate Chocolatier. You are six years older than Toshiko.
Despite the big age difference, it doesn't stop you from being best friends.
You taught Toshiko about traditional Japanese culture, customs and much more.(The kimono that Toshiko now wears previously belonged to you. You taught her how to tie a kimono)
Your sweets can replace oxygen for Toshiko. But she takes your concern and instructions to heart, so she eats healthy so she can eat as many sweets as she can.(Your parents are in shock. Toshiko has always hated vegetables, and all it takes is one word from you and he will eat them without whining. They can ask and threaten, without result)
Toshiko is free advertising for you. As a gift, it offers everyone chocolates made by you. Even people who don't like chocolate love your products.(Toshiko can advertise effectively. Once she said that when you were in the academy your chocolates were still ordered by Queen Elizabeth II herself. No one checks whether this is true)
She tried to snare you with Damon when she noticed that he was getting stressed in your company.(Not that she likes him. But all for young love and the plot)
Every excursion to a place of interest to you, or holidays, trips or other occasions, are captured by you in photos. You both have a place on the wall where you attach, each photo and new memory. Sometimes you still write down interesting quotes.
You met her class when she invited you to their Thanksgiving feast. You brought your Black Forest Cake with you. That's also when you met Wenone. You took a liking to each other, and Wenone offered to help you develop your delicious business.(Since then, Wenona has become a step-sister to Toshiko)
Toshiko has a habit of giving nicknames related to desserts, especially Japanese ones. She calls you “Castella.”(One of the most complex and elegant desserts. Worthy of you)
You match outfits for family occasions. You usually go shopping together and advise each other on what clothes fit you. Never mind that most of the time Toshiko wears clothes she took after you or got from you.
I did it! Sorry for VERY late. Pls enjoy and don't hate me.
Love you all!
Growing up in the Wonderland palace was so boring, considering not socialising with anyone but your big sister and some of the guards.
You’re mom, Queen Bridget; also the queen of hearts did feel bad for you since you were a kid with no social life, so she bought two dogs. One Rottweiler and one german Shepard by the names of Atlas and Apollo, you and red loved them. They were basically guard dogs.
But now here you are, playing with the flour on the kitchen floor, throwing the whole entire bag onto the floor and scooping it into a bowl with the biggest smile known to any four in a half year old girl.
Your sister Red came downstairs with her girlfriend, Chloe.
Her face completely dropped when she saw the mess you made, chloe found it amusing since you managed to pour some on the dogs.
Apollo was rolling around in the white dust spread all over the kitchen floor meanwhile Atlas just sat down patiently just looking at the two older girls as if he was asking them to get him out of this mess. He was a clean dog, didn’t like getting dirty. Meanwhile Apollo threw himself into anything that had dust.
“omg, Y/N!” She exclaims, picking up the small girl covered in flour head to toe.
“Moms going to kill me! What were you even thinking!”
Y/N doesn’t seem to understand, just smiling and laughing.
“I wanted to make a cake for mama and Chloe!” You responded, the amount of happiness evident on your face made Reds frustration sooner replace.
She sighs after a while, pulling you into a hug, knowing she’ll probably have dust or flour on her clothes and face.
“Of course you did. Cmon, let’s just get this whole chaos cleaned.”
Chloe placed her hand on Reds shoulder, seeing the small smile on her lips.
“What?”
“You’re such a good sister to her.”
Just that there made Reds face flush. Her smile reappearing.
“Yeah yeah- shut up. Let’s just clean up before the maids see this and quit..”
“Yeah!” Y/N cheered, raising her arms happily.
“You’re not getting out of this so easily missy, no more sweets.”
Y/N’s smile turns into a frown, she drops her arms and looks down at the floor with slight sadness.
“aww :C”
——————
what seemed like FOREVER to you but felt like only 15 minutes for the other two girls you were all done cleaning the kitchen. And the dogs were no longer covered in flour.
Chloe sighs, wiping the bit of sweat from her forehead.
“Nothing like a bit of hard work does the trick.” She sighs.
Red laughs, looking at her girlfriend as she approaches her.
“Oh please princess, you only cleaned the flour off the dogs.”
Chloe smiles, bringing her hand up to wipe a bit of flour from Reds cheek with her thumb.
“You had something on your cheek, love.”
She chuckles pulling the blue haired girl closer.
“You have something on your lips.”
Then, their lips meet for a few seconds, butterflies flutter in Chloe’s stomach, Red felt like she was melting. Until it was cut off by the sound of a little girl.
“eww! don’t kiss! germs!!” Y/N fake gags, looking away.
The two girls laugh, pulling away.
“Alright, how about we bake a cake for your mom?” Chloe speaks, kneeling to Y/N’s height. Earning a scoff from Red for the two to ignore what she just said for Y/N’s punishment.
Y/N’s sparkle in her eyes return as she jumps into Chloe’s arms.
“Yes please!!”
Red sighs, crossing her arms.
“Oh my god you guys are so annoying.”
“Oh you love us.”
creator note: I kinda wished that Red had a younger sibling or atleast a pet because I think that would’ve been a cute thing to add :3
I love these two so much! (another reminder I’m not shipping the actors, and also this isn’t a ship edit towards Malia and Kylie) BUT OMG I LOVED WRITING THIS IT WAS SO CUTE- kinda short BUT SO CUTEE
31 Days of Halloween (Day 23)
Treats Galore
Prompt: Trick or Treat
Bigsister!Reader x Little brother!Damian Wayne
Bigsister!Reader x Littlebrother!JonKent
                                xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“Hey, D, what are you still doing here?” You asked walking into the library.
Damian and Jon sighed.
“What’s wrong?” You asked them coming to sit across from them.
“Nobody will take us trick or treating. They said we’re too old,” Jon pouted.
Damian looked away from you. You were going to kill his brothers.
“Well, I’m on my way back into Gotham. Why don’t we go? I know all of the good houses that give out king-size candy bars,” You suggested.
“Really?” Jon asked.
“Yeah, going out with you two will be so much more fun than doing my reading for class,” You said.
Jon glanced over at Damian.
“What do you say, D? I’m thinking that Penguin’s place hasn’t been tp’d in a while,” You said teasingly.
Finally, Damian cracked a smile.
“You’d really let us toilet paper, Oswald’s place?” Damian asked.
You shrugged. “He did just recently tried to kidnap me to get back at Jason so I think he kind of deserves it,”
Damian and Jon both laughed. “We can handle him,”
Jon and Damian burst off the couch to head upstairs to pull on their costumes. Laughing, you stood and turned to head out. Bruce was standing there in the shadows. He must have come up from the Batcave. You and him weren’t on the best of terms. Never really liked the dude, but then with everything that had happened to Jason, you couldn’t stand him.
“Old man,” You greeted as you started to head towards the door.
“You know those boys are getting too old to be trick or treating,” Bruce pointed out.
Oh goodie. The old man was looking for a fight. You’ve been wanting a reason to be extra bitchy to him.
“It’s a good thing then I don’t have to listen to you then, huh?” You shot back.
Bruce sighed. “Damian needs to grow up,”
You quickly cut him off. “The dude is twelve and already a trained assassin. Cut the kid some slack and let him enjoy a night off with his friend,”
“Y/n, you’re not his mother,” Bruce began.
“And you’re a shitty father. Do we need a crash course on Jason’s death? Or how about Tim’s?” You shot at him.
Bruce narrowed his eyes at you.
“Don’t wait up for us. The boys will crash at my place tonight. My dads won’t mind,” You told him and without waiting for his answer you swung out of the library.
You walked over to the bottom of the stairs and yelled at Damian to pack a bag and for Jon to bring his along. The boys came running down the steps dressed in their costumes with their bags.
“You two ready?” You asked.
“Yes!” They grinned.
“Great, think of what you’re going to want for dinner. You’ll be staying with me tonight and don’t worry Jon I’ve already texted Clark,” You said.
The three of you ignored the brooding Bruce in the corner. The car ride back to Gotham was filled with excited chatter from the backseat. You had parked on a decent street and then three of you were off to hit up as many houses as possible to get as much candy as the three of you could carry.
You didn’t stop until you were the only ones left laughing and giggling in the dark streets. On the way back to your place you had stopped for pizza and movies to bring back. The boys had only managed to stay up through one movie before crashing from pizza and sugar.
Leaning against the counter you sighed into your cup of tea. You looked down when your phone chirped. It was a text from Jay. He warned you about the warpath Bruce was on from your attitude earlier and to thank you for taking care of Damian and Jon. You replied to him with an appreciation for the heads up and that he could thank you properly by taking you out on a date.
You looked up when your parents came walking through the door. They only shook their heads at the sight of the boys passed out on the floor and sent you a smile before heading to their bedroom. When your phone chirped again you couldn’t help but smile when you saw that Jason had set a time and a date for your guys night together.
Who said trick or treating had to have an age limit. This was the best night you had in a while and you couldn’t wait to do it again next year, but next time you were going to get all the batboys to go with you.
𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑺𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓'𝒔 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒆
Pairing: Tuk X BigSister!Reader SullyFamily X OldestDaughter!Reader (Reader is Neteyam's twin, but it's not mentioned.)
Synopsis: Tuk is having a hard time, but her big sister is there to try and help. Warnings: Sweetness, character death, descriptions of a dead body, comfort/angst, spoilers for ATWOW.
Tumblr media
"The monster's gone,
he's on the run,
and your sister's here,
beautiful, beautiful,
beautiful, girl."
Awa’altu is a beautiful place. It’s hard not to fall in love with the scenery that surrounded you, but it’s also hard to forget about the even more beautiful and familiar scenery of your former forest home. Everyone seemed to feel it too. The sadness and tugging of heartstrings that came forth when the thought of your old home came to surface.
But, this is where you live now, and as hard as it is to try and see it as home, you had too. You and your siblings.
Obviously for some of you it was easier than others. Lo’ak had never felt truly at home in the forest, you could tell, call it big sister intuition. But in the ocean he seemed to thrive -having Tsireya there to help was definitely some motivation-. Neteyam acted like he was fine and adjusting perfectly, just as your father wanted, but on the inside he was angry. At the sky people, the fake na’vi who had driven them from their home, and even their father, who wouldn’t give him a break. Kiri missed the forest. Her mother’s body was there. But the beauty of the ocean and Eywa drew her in and she warmed up.
Now Tuk. Little Tuk who didn’t really know where to place her emotions, was having a hard time. She had friends in the forest, her grandmother, connections and deep roots with the people and even the nature there in general. She had shown how upset she was in the beginning, but Jake had convinced her that she would get used to the change, and even Neytiri soon followed in telling her that she would adapt over time.
She tried, she really did. And at times it would work. She would get absorbed in everything about the Metkayina, but then it would sink in again. The thoughts of how much she missed her home.
You noticed, you seemed to notice everything about your siblings. Tuk was hurting, and you wanted to help.
After dinner, you told your mother you wanted to take Tuk out to look for glowing shells by the reef you could only see after the eclipse. Tuk grinned, and begged Neytiri to agree. She did, and told the both of you to be back in an hour.
“Tuk look!” You said happily, holding up a glowing shell the size of your palm. Its swirls and lines were the colors of the night sky. Tuk quickly moved towards you. The water you were both in only reached under her knee, enough for you to sit in the water and have it reach your waist.
 “It’s pretty!” She nodded, a smile on her lips as she took the shell from your hands to look at it. You smiled softly at her, taking in all of her little features.
“Tuk…” You said gently, taking her hands into both of yours and holding them tightly. She looked at you, bright green eyes illuminated by the light coming from the water. “I… I know you don’t exactly feel like this is home yet.” The smile that was on her lips slowly started to fade, and she averted her gaze down to the water, away from her big sister’s eyes. “Hey,” You said, one of your hands leaving her to go under her chin and make her look at you. “It’s okay. It’s okay to not like it here completely yet, or to even like it at all. You don’t have to feel bad for not being as happy as mom and dad want you to be.” Tuk’s ears began to flatten and her bottom lip wobbled as tears started to build in her eyes. “I miss home.” She said, her voice cracking and turning into a small sob. She could finally admit it. That this didn’t feel like home. You let out a breath and pulled her towards you into a hug. The shell you both had been holding fell into the water.
She sobbed into your shoulder. Letting out all the emotions that she had been bottling up. Finally. You held her tightly, rubbing her hair and her back to try and help, shushing her gently. “It’s okay, everything’s okay.”
“I’m right here, everyone’s right here. We don’t have our old home anymore, but you still have all of us. Neteyam, Kiri, Lo’ak, Dad, Mom, and me. Even the friends we’ve made here like Tsireya. We’re all right here for you.” Tuk brought in a rugged breath. “I miss the forest, Grandma, and my friends. I-I miss everything.” The little na’vi admitted. Her heart clenching. You nodded, and pulled her away from you so you could cup her cheeks. “I know tuk-tuk, me too.” You gave her a small smile. “And I know grandma misses you just as much as we all miss her. We’ll see her again, I know it.” You moved some braids from her forehead and kissed it. “She would be so proud of how well you’ve learned the Metkayina ways.” You sighed, calming down your own tears that had started to build.
Tuk looked at you with her big eyes. She had always looked up to you, since the first days she could remember her big sister had been like a hero to her. She was kind, always knowing the right words to say. Funny, helping her pull pranks on her big brothers and even Spider like a mastermind. And strong, always there to defend her and keep her safe. She knew she could always trust her big sister to be there. “I’ll always be here for you little Tuk, you know that right?” You asked, rubbing the stray years off of her cheeks. She nodded, and sniffled before throwing herself into you again for another hug.
“Thank you.” She mumbled, voice muffled by your shoulder. “I miss home.” She admitted, moving her head slightly “but… I want to learn to like this place as much as home. Not for mom or dad… but for me.”
You smiled, and nodded knowing she could feel it. “I’m glad to hear that, and I'll be here to help you the entire time. I promise.” You kissed her hair. “I love you little Tuk.”
You could feel her smile. “I love you too… Stinky.” She giggled as she said the nickname she had come up for you years ago. Your mouth fell open dramatically as you pulled her away from you to look at her. “Me? Stinky? Oh Tuk- have you smelled yourself lately?” you grabbed her arm, and lifted it above her head to sniff at her under-arm. You scrunched your nose and pull away, letting out a loud gag. Tuk giggled, and tried to wrestle herself away from you. “When is the last time you bathed?!” you asked, pulling her back into making her fall onto your lap, slashing the water around you. You tickled her sides, eliciting loud giggles from the small girl. “Stop! Stop please!” She laughed. You laughed with her and finally stopped your assault. You sighed and held her close. “You know I love you right?” You asked. She nodded, a genuine smile now on her lips. “Mhm, I love you too.” You smiled, and started to pepper obnoxious kisses around her face. “Good, now come one. I think it’s time to put you to bed.”
“But it’s not that late!” “Either bed, or a bath.” “...Bed.” |
It was over. Finally. After being captured and held captive and even almost drowning it was over. Tuk breathed heavily under her mother’s arm as her eyes scanned over her siblings. Neteyam, Lo’ak and Kiri. “Where is Y/N?” She asked suddenly, looking around frantically. Jake, Neteyam and Lo’ak all shared looks, while Neytiri closed her eyes tightly. |
Tuk’s eyes burned like someone had held a flame to them. You were supposed to be holding her. Giving her kisses on her forehead and telling her how everything was okay now. She wasn’t supposed to be holding you. Brushing the hair off of your sticky forehead as no breath escaped your mouth. Your eyes were open when the Sully’s had first gone back to the rock where you lay and Tsireya guarded you. Neytiri had been the first to run to you and hold you, gently closing your eyes. But Tuk saw them before she did. Wide, and lifeless.  Nothing was there to cover the hole in your chest. And neither was there anything to cover the holes in everyone’s hearts. Especially Tuk’s.
She held your hand against her cheek, where you would have it if you could. She didn’t hold back the tears that left her eyes and sobs that left her lips.
You are her big sister, her protector. And now you would do everything you could to protect her by Eywa’s side.
no matter where you are — sokka x reader x zuko
part two; proposals, proposals... a snake?!
Tumblr media
summary: in cranefish town, sokka, (y/n) and zuko have been friends ever since childhood. although their lives have taken different paths — (y/n) was sent to the ba sing se, zuko joined the military, and sokka studied to become a bullfighter — one thing remains the same: sokka and zuko both want to marry (y/n). little does the trio know that battling husband-and-spouse deities have made a high-stakes wager on the love triangle's outcome.
a/n: sad face but happy face too i suppose
wc: 2.5k
warning(s): death, snakes
(Y/n) fumbles as the girls in the group all swoon. “Don't worry, your father already said you could.”
“He did—“ (Y/n) stutters and glares at her father. “What?” (Y/n) and Katara share a glance.
General (L/n) laughs nervously. “Who else could protect us from Ozai?” He holds up the wanted poster before scooting over to her, pushing her towards Zuko. (Y/n) glances at Zuko and then the ring sadly before Sokka and his friends burst in.
(Y/n) smiles warmly at the man as he chuckles, walking over and slinging an arm around Zuko. “What did I miss?” He asks drowsily.
“Wait—“ Zuko glances at the guitar in your hands and (Y/n) sheepishly hides it behind her. “Wait a sec. Did he propose, too?” He lifts Sokka’s head up, making (Y/n) chuckle.
She brushes a piece of her hair behind her ear. “No!” (Y/n) blinks, before looking up at Sokka with a hopeful and shy smile, a rarity from a bold person like her. “Were you going to?”
Sokka shakes out of his haze. “What?”
“Well, I proposed first.” Zuko pats Sokka’s head. “So, go fight a bull or something.” Sokka pushes Zuko and the crowd ‘oh’s.
(Y/n) places a hand on her hip. “You two are acting like fools!” She says firmly.
Sokka turns to her, raising a curious brow. “Wait, me too?” He asks.
Zuko gets helped up by the soldiers as he walks over to Sokka again. “I love you, you know that, buddy.” He slings an arm around Sokka. “But how are you going to protect (Y/n) if you can't even finish a bull?”
The crowd begins mumbling amongst each other again. “Oh, yeah? Well, you will never be as great a hero as your uncle!” Sokka retorts, pointing a finger in Zuko’s face as the crowd gasps.
Zuko pushes Sokka’s hand down. “You better get your finger out of my face!” He warns.
Sokka points over Zuko’s finger. “You don't point at me!” He shouts, beginning to squabble.
Sokka and Zuko engage in a slap fight as they continue arguing. “I'm the best pointer you've ever seen!” Zuko exclaims. “That's so stupid, so childish.” A soldier throws Zuko a sword and Sokka quickly backs away as he points it him. “Come at me, bro!”
“Sokka!” Due snatches Sokka’s guitar out of (Y/n) hands and throws it to Sokka. He looks at Due, confused. “What? You wanted a banjo?”
Zuko laughs. “Look at him! He got his guitar.” He teases. “What are you gonna do? Oh my gosh, music! I'm so scared!”
Sokka strums his guitar cockily, smirking. “I'm gonna teach you some manners, buddy.”
Sokka and Zuko are about to clash when (Y/n) quickly unsheathes her fathers sword and uses it to flip both weapons into the air much to everyone's surprise. She catches Zuko’s sword and Sokka catches his guitar.
(Y/n) smirks. “Did I mention I also studied fencing?” She says calmly, putting Zuko’s sword out for him to grab, but he doesn’t.
“Fine.” Zuko says. “We'll settle this later.”
“Any time.” Sokka steps forward, but (Y/n) puts a calm hand on his chest, gently pushing him back. “Any place.” He smirks.
“Really, guys?” (Y/n) furrows her brows.
“No! Don't go, Zuko!” A soldier yells as Zuko walks out the door. “What if the bandits come?”
A boy bursts through the door. “The bandits are coming!” He screams, sending everyone into a panic.
General (L/n) runs outside, his sword in his hand. “Women and children, go to the church!” He shouts. “Men, we are going to drive Ozai's bandits off! Who is with me?” The remaining soldiers run off, screaming. “This is not good.”
“Listen up, you cowards! These are Ozai's demands!” Ozai’s bandits begin walking through the streets, taking various items. “Hand over your chickens, monies, bacon, jars, mustache wax. This looks like jelly but I think it's jewelry. Yeah, jewelry.” They approach (Y/n), Sokka, and General (L/n). “Anyways, if you give all this to us, then maybe we won't burn your town down.” The bandits laugh as Sokka steps forward.
“You want the town?” Sokka growls, “You're gonna have to go through me!” He shouts as he draws his swords from his back as a bandit with a wrecking ball, approaches him.
Zuko shouts from the rooftops. “Hey, ugly! Why don't you fight a real man? With a really awesome mustache!” He begins flipping down.
General (L/n) sighs. “Thank goodness you are here!” He cries out.
Zuko takes off his, cape, hat and hands Sokka his swords. “Here, hold this. And this. And this. And if that's too heavy, maybe you can just hand it to (Y/n).” He clicks his tongue, and she rolls her eyes as Zuko stalks forward, towards the bandits. “My name is Zuko, nephew of Captain Iroh! Tonight, Cranefish Town is under my protection. Prepare to be beaten.”
Zuko begins beating up the bandits, easily taking them down as the townspeople cheer for him in awe. The leader of group shouts, “Get him!” And the bandits start crowding around Zuko but he turns his gaze to (Y/n) for a moment.
“Hey, girl.” Zuko smirks, winking at her.
(Y/n) laughs, shaking her head. “You goofball.” She grins, placing a hand on her waist.
The bandits dog pile on top of Zuko but find themselves unable to injure him in any way.
“Ow. Ow. Ooh. All right, that's just not hurting at all.” Zuko says flatly as a bandit points out his medal.
“The beautiful hero! He has the medal of everlasting life!” The leader of the bandits shouts, greedily eyeing it.
Zuko freaks, and shouts as he punches the bandits off of him. The leader catches sight of the medal before Zuko hides it under his sash and glares. The leader gives him an ‘I've got my eyes on you’ gesture and the bandits flee.
“And don't ever come back!” Zuko shouts after them.
(Y/n) runs up next to him. “Yeah! You better run away!” She turns to Zuko, a wide and impressed grin on her face. “That was incredible!”
“Yeah,” Sokka mumbles. “you really are a hero, Zuko.”
“Perhaps now...” Zuko clears his throat, “we possibly could continue our conversation, Miss (L/n)?” He puts an arm out for (Y/n) to take.
She nervously fumbles until General (L/n) pushes her forward. “(Y/n), please, do it for the town.” She looks down at him. “Without Zuko we are at the mercy of Ozai.”
(Y/n) smiles reluctantly, turning to Zuko. “So, why don't you tell me about some of your medals?” She asks, making Sokka’s once happy mood disappear.
Zuko smiles. “Well, I got this one for delivering a baby with one hand while arm wrestling a bear with the other. That's nothing, really.”
           ———
Sanjay scoffs. “Duh. Of course she's gonna go with Zuko.” He smiles. “And did you see that mustache?”
“Are you crazy?” Jane exclaims. “(Y/n) is doing this to protect the town.”
Luka places a hand over his heart. “Putting her duty before her heart.” He states.
Radha nods. “Yes. Life can be really tough for the living.” She clasps her hands together.
          ———
“Failing in and out of the ring.” Hakoda sighs as Sokka adjusted a medal on his sleeve. “The whole Enuaraq family would be so disappointed in you.”
Sokka shakes his head as he stands. “Please, don't say that.” He mumbles.
“Listen.” Hakoda cups Sokka’s face. “You love (Y/n)? Then fight for her, like a man!”
“It's too late.” Sokka looks sorrowful. “Zuko proposed to her already.”
“Now, that's a real man.” Hakoda chuckles.
“Dad!” Katara throws a fruit at her fathers head, a glare on her face as she helps Gran-Gran forward.
“Quiet, Nut brain!” Kanna scolds Hakoda. “Sokka,” He kneels down to Kanna’s level. “if (Y/n) didn't say yes to Zuko, then she said no.”
“So, what are you gonna do about it, Sokka?” Katara smiles, patting Sokka’s shoulder.
Sokka thinks about it and gives Kanna and Katara a thank you kiss on the cheek before heading off. They both smile.
“After stealing Vaatu's magic medal in a battle Ozai had risen to become the king of the bandits.” Radha narrates. “But when Vaatu stole it back, Ozai had come undone. Which now lead to him targeting Cranefish Town.”
Zuko led (Y/n) back to her home, still blabbering about his medals. “I got this one for saving some orphans from a fire and then going back in for their cribs, and then going back in for their toys. And then I also saved a little puppy one time that had a little thorn in its paw. And this medal is for having the most medals.”
(Y/n) gently taps his arm. “Well, here we are. Thank you for this most informative talk about...” She chuckles dryly, beginning to walk to the door. “you.”
Zuko stops her. “I have something for you, (Y/n).” He smiles softly.
He hands her a picture. “That is so nice of y—“ She looks down, eyes scanning over the picture of Zuko and his autograph. “Wow.” (Y/n) says flatly. “I'm speechless.”
“I know. Right?” Zuko chuckles, leaning down and expecting a kiss on the cheek. “I get that a lot.”
(Y/n) laughs, heading to the door. “Good night, Zuko.” She chuckles.
Zuko removes his hat. “Wait. (Y/n).”
She opens the door and turns back, gasping upon seeing her bonnet she wore from when she left. “My bonnet. Aw, you kept it all this time?” (Y/n) smile endearingly at Zuko.
“Well, it's what's kept me going.” Zuko says sincerely, making (Y/n)’s smile drop. “About my proposal, will you at least just think about it?”
(Y/n) mulls it over for a second, then nods, a small smile forming on her lips. “Good night, Zuko.”
“Yes! Yes, yes, yes!” Zuko silently squeals, jumping softly. “Zuko, you're awesome!” Vaatu also cheers from the roof.
The main hall is dark as (Y/n) makes her way back inside of her room. Nuna happily rubs against her leg as she comes in, and (Y/n) laughs softly. Moving to her bed, she kneels and reaches under, grabbing a box. After lifting it out and plopping it on her bed, she opens it, smiling endearingly at the photos inside. She lifts Nuna up before settling into her bed, laying on her stomach as she flips through pictures, laughing at some of them. A small tap on the window interrupts the peaceful moment. Nuna growls as (Y/n) stands, opening the balcony doors to see Sokka hanging onto the top of the lamppost.
“Meet me at the bridge at dawn.” He says with a hopeful smile.
“I can't, Sokka.” (Y/n) sadly shakes her head. “My father won't.—”
“Please, (Y/n).” Sokka pleads, the hopeful gaze still on her. “I beg you.”
(Y/n) mulls it over, sighing and nodding with a smile at Sokka. He grins, winking at her before sliding down, a bounce in his step as he walks away.
Vaatu growls as he watches Sokka. “If she meets him alone I will lose the wager.” He turns to his two-headed staff, smirking at the snakes. “Fix this for me, old friend.”
Vaatu's snake slithers to do what Vaatu said. Later at dawn, (Y/n) runs to the bridge. Upon arriving, she finds a walkway of candles leading to a tree on the other side. There, Sokka plays a song on his guitar as she walks across. (Y/n) begins making her way across to him.
“Sokka.” (Y/n) whispers, a wide smile gracing her features. She looks fondly upon Sokka’s sweet gesture, wondering what she did to get blessed with such a wonderful man. Reaching the end of the bridge and approaching the tree Sokka stands under, (Y/n) gazes lovingly at him.
Sokka smiles, setting his guitar against the tree and grabbing (Y/n)’s shoulders, turning her to face the town. “This.” He gestures to the sunrise. “This is what I wanted to show you.”
The orange, pink, and red hues mix together perfectly as if reflects over Cranefish Town. (Y/n) smiles softly as she places a hand over the one on her shoulder. “It's so beautiful.” She feels so warm, and loved in this moment. (Y/n) doesn’t want to leave it.
Sokka hums, seeming to know what she’s feeling gently turning her to face him. “What you're feeling, (Y/n)... that's how I feel every time I'm with you.” (Y/n) gasps and her eyes glaze over as Sokka kneels, gently taking one of her hands into his. “I can't offer you a ring. I have nothing to give but my love.”
(Y/n) smiles fondly at him, and Sokka’s breath nearly hitches at the sight. “Oh, Sokka.” She whispers.
“I may not be the town hero, (Y/n)...” Sokka swallows thickly, rubbing his thumb over her knuckles softly, sending chills down her spine. “but I swear with all my heart I will never, ever stop loving you.”
(Y/n) takes a deep breath before kneeling with him, placing a hand on the one that’s holding hers. “And I will never stop loving the man who plays from the heart.”
Just then, Vaatu's snake appears from the shadows and (Y/n) sees it, gasping, “Snake!”
(Y/n) pushes Sokka out of the way, just as it was about to bite him. A sharp pain hits her ankle, and she screams as her skin feels like it’s boiling and the snake slithers away. She collapses, and Sokka catches her before she can hit the ground.
“No!” He shouts. “(Y/n)! No...” He whispers, pressing their foreheads together as he began to cry. He stays for a minute until rain begins to pour, and the candles begin to be extinguished. He runs back into town with (Y/n) in his arms. “Help!” He calls out.
Zuko rushes forward with other soldiers, his face falling at the sight of (Y/n) looking pale in Sokka’s grip. “What did you do, Sokka?” Zuko furrows his brows.
“There was a snake and...” Sokka trails off, getting choked up.
Zuko gentle grips (Y/n)’s limp hand, gasping at how cold she is and quickly drawing his hand away. “She's gone!” He gasps, growing angry. “Why didn't you protect her?!” He shouts, about to draw his sword, but General (L/n) steps in front of him, stopping him.
“(Y/n)! Oh, no.” He falls to his knees, before shouting, “Oh, no!” He cries stiffly as Sokka hands her to him. Sokka squeezes his eyes shut, holding back the wave of tears.
“Papa,” Aang starts, peering over his dads side. “Why isn’t (Y/n) moving? And why is she so pale?” He asks nervously, clutching General (L/n)’s jacket tightly.
He sadly pats his sons head before turning to Sokka with a harsh glare. “This is all your doing! Leave! Or so help me, I'll—“ He hugs (Y/n) tighter as lightning strikes. “My little girl. What have you done, boy? What have you done?” He cries, walking away.
Zuko places his hat on as Sokka looks down, ashamed. “It should have been me.” He says, clenching his fists.
Zuko glances at him over his shoulder with a cold, stern glare. Something Sokka had never received from him. “Yes. It should have.” He mumbles, leading Aang away and joining the others.
Lightning strikes once again, and Sokka looks up to the sky, an overwhelming sense of dread washing over him as he collapses onto his knees, sobbing.
I’m begging you PLS make AT LEAST a part 2 for sturniolos older sister, I genuinely am so obsessed I’ve read it at least 5 times today. I need a series but- I’m a needy person so… PLS
Big Sister Pt. 2- Sturniolo Triplets
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: bigsister!reader x littlebrother!triplets
classification: fluff, sibling banter
warnings: use of y/n, slight cursing, VERY LONG
inspiration: request^^
summary: After visiting the triplets in L.A, the reader returns back home and works with her brothers to plan another get together. This time the triplets visit her, taking a trip down to the Lone Star State.
Big Sister PT.1, PT2, PT.3
“No, May doesn’t work for me. I’m still working in May, I won’t be on vacation until June,” you mumbled, scrolling relentlessly on your laptop in search of flights from L.A to Texas. The search seemed endless because you and your brothers couldn’t seem to coordinate schedules, all of you either being too busy with work or tied down to previous commitments. “Okay. So then we’ll go down in June,” Chris’s voice rang through the phone, stating it like it was an obvious solution.
Nick groaned at this statement, immediately thinking of how hot it would be in Texas during the summer, “it’s going to be so hot though!” He loved you, but he didn’t know if he’d be able to deal with the Texas heat for two entire weeks. Once Matt had heard Nick’s comment he interjected, “Stop being a baby, Nick. We’re going down in June.” You were only half listening to them, still scrolling away on your laptop trying to find 3 two-way tickets that wouldn’t completely drain your bank account.
In all honesty, you were surprised they’d even agreed to visit you. Usually it was you and Justin making the trip to L.A to visit them because they were always so busy. When you mentioned it to your husband Jack, he was equally as surprised but also extremely excited because he was never able to take enough time off work to accompany you on your trips to L.A.
“Fine. Y/n, we’re going down in June,” Nick said, defeat evident in his voice. He supposed he was just going to have to put up with the Texas heat because he could not find it in himself to argue with Matt or Chris right now. They awaited your response, but you were so immersed in the screen in front of you that you hadn’t heard a single thing they had said. ‘What the fuck are these prices?’ you thought, biting the inside of your cheek in determination to find the best tickets.
“Y/n! Are you still there?!” Chris shouted into the phone, the sound blaring loudly through your speaker. The sudden noise caught you off guard and caused you to jump in surprise, breaking you from your concentration. “What the hell are y’all blabbering about?!” You shouted back into the phone attempting to give them a taste of their own medicine.
Ever since you all were little, your brothers would always jump at the opportunity to tease and bully you. Sometimes it was funny, other times it was just annoying. Right now it was annoying.
“Y/n would be the type to say y’all,” Chris laughed, ignoring your question completely, opting to bully you instead. Even though they couldn’t see you, you rolled your eyes at his comment, preparing yourself for the onslaught of bullying that you were about to receive. Before you could even think of a snarky remark Matt joined in on the bullying as well.
“My name is y/n and I live in Texas y’all,” he put on a goofy country accent as he said this causing both Chris and Nick to fall into another fit of laughter. You could only imagine what stupid facial expression he was pulling on the other side of the phone.
“Shut up you fucking doofus,” you grumbled, only half mad because you were happy you finally found tickets at a reasonable price. Without a second thought you purchased the tickets, doing a quick victory dance. “Shut up you fucking doofus,” Matt mimicked you, still imitating his corny version of a country accent. If you were being honest, he was pretty good at it, but you’d never admit that.
“Yeah, shut your damn trap before I send you out to the barn, you fucking billy goat” Chris joined in, throwing in random phrases into his sentences as he attempted his own version of a country accent. The three of them were laughing so hard that they had to lean on each other for support as to not fall backwards.
Considering you’d already purchased the tickets, your work here was technically done and you could easily hang the phone up, leaving your goofy brothers to their stupid jokes. If you weren’t so excited, you probably would have done that and texted them the information later, but you decided to forgive their antics just to share the news, “Y’all, I bought the tickets!”
You didn’t catch yourself say it, but your brothers sure did, completely ignoring the exciting news you’d just shared. “Again with the ‘y’all!’ We get it! You live in Texas!” Matt groaned, earning yet another round of laughter from Nick and Chris.
“Oh my God, I actually can’t stand you guys right now,” you rubbed at your temples, wondering if you should just refund the tickets. How were you going to survive two entire weeks of this?
“At least you didn’t say y’all that time,” Nick said. You sighed and hung up.
For the next couple of weeks you and your husband, Jack, worked together to prepare your home for visitors. You made sure you had everything you needed in order to be considered a good host. Finally, summer rolled around and you and your husband were on your way to pick your brothers up from the airport. “Stop changing the station, I like that song!” You swatted his hand away from the radio, causing him to chuckle in response. Before he could retaliate, your phone rang.
Quickly you grabbed your purse and dug in it until you found your phone. Nick was calling probably to let you know they had landed safely so you answered it, “Hello?” There was a pause on the other side, but you could hear Chris and Matt faintly bickering in the background. “Shut up, Chris. Just grab our bags so we can go find y/n,” Nick said, sounding far away. He was too busy trying to reel the other two in while grabbing his carryon to hold the phone to his face.
“Hello?!” You repeated louder in hopes that he’d hear you this time. Finally he placed the phone to his ear, using his shoulder to hold it in place as he grabbed his belongings in both hands. Although the flight was only 3 hours long, he still packed an unnecessary amount of things including a blanket and a pillow. “Hi, sorry. Chris and Matt are being stupid,” he finally responded as he slung his carryon over his shoulder and stuffed his pillow under the arm that wasn’t propping his phone against his ear.
“Did y’all land?” You asked while looking over at your husband as he struggled to find where to go, becoming lost in the maze that was the airport. He was going towards the East exit, but from your countless trips back and forth from California to Texas you knew he was meant to be going towards the South exit. Quickly you snapped your fingers in Jack’s face to grab his attention before pointing in the direction he was meant to be driving. Without a hitch, he shifted the steering wheel and went in the direction you were pointing.
“I wouldn’t be calling you if we hadn’t,” Nicks voice was laced with sarcasm as he scurried behind his brothers to make his way out of the packed airplane. You hummed in response, mostly just relieved that they had landed safely, “well I’m asking cause we’re here already.” There was a lot of background noise coming through your phone speaker, mostly the voices of people you couldn’t identify. “Tell her we’re grabbing our bags,” you heard Matt say faintly in the background, probably wanting to cut your conversation with Nick short so that Nick could pay attention to where he was walking and what he was doing.
“Y/n, Matt says to tell you we’re getting our-” Nick begins to say, but is quickly cut off by Chris shouting through the speaker, “WE’RE GETTING OUR BAGS Y/N!” You grimaced and held the phone away from your ear to avoid busting your eardrums. Jack chuckles at this, putting the car in park outside the South exit before chiming in on the conversation, “we’re waiting for you guys outside the South Gate.”
“Was that Jack?” Nick asks as he, Chris and Matt watch the conveyor belt of luggages intently in order to spot theirs. You put the phone on speaker and place it on the middle console of the car, wanting to allow your husband to join in on the conversation, “Yeah buddy it’s me.” Jack had always been like an older brother to the triplets even before you two started dating, especially because he was such good friends with Justin.
Finally the boys find their luggages, working as a team to grab them all before they wiz away. “Cool! I thought y/n was gonna come alone and we’d meet you back at your house,” Nick sounded slightly out of breath as he said this because he was trying to juggle the phone, his pillow, his carryon and now his luggage. “Why would I do that when I can quite literally be a passenger princess,” you shot your husband a knowing look which received an eye roll and a dramatic scoff in return.
“Can you believe this girl, Nick? She forces me to drive her everywhere,” Jack decided to play around with the joke, wanting to embarrass you slightly. It was true though, you were always asking him to accompany you places just so you’d have an excuse to sit in the passenger seat. “As much as I’m loving this conversation, I’m gonna hang up now,” Nick replied, the multitude of items in his hands becoming too much to carry as the three of them made their way towards the South exit.
“What? No! Nick don’t hang up, what if we can’t find you guys!” You grabbed ahold of the phone again, taking it off speaker and placing it on your ear. You shifted your body to face towards the window, peering outside to try and getting a better look inside the airport. Your brothers weren’t too far away, already having made their way outside, but they hadn’t spotted your car yet. Slowly, they came into view and you watched as they trudged in the opposite direction of your vehicle.
“Oh never mind, I see you guys,” a laugh escaped your lips as you said this. Hurriedly, you undid your seatbelt and unlocked your door before hopping out of the car. “What? Where? I don’t see your car,” Nick was now looking left to right, his eyes scanning his surroundings for you and your car. At the mention of this, Chris and Matt did the same thing. “The other way, dumbass,” you replied, hanging up the phone and shoving it in your back pocket so you could wave your hands in the air.
Jack was standing next to you at this point, also waving his hands in the air in an attempt to grab your brothers’ attention. “GUYS!” You shouted, watching as they looked around in confusion still unable to spot you. Mentally you face palmed at their stupidity before shouting their names. This is what finally caught their attention, pulling their gaze in your direction. A smile grew on your face as excitement bubbled up inside you.
Their pace quickened as they tried to get to you faster without dropping any of their things. “I’m so excited!!” You whisper shouted, doing a small dance before beginning to walk towards your brothers. They were holding a lot of things and it looked like they could use some help. Your husband followed suit behind you, making sure to lock the car. He was equally as excited as you, probably even more excited because he hadn’t seen the triplets in so long.
When you finally reached them, you immediately pulled Nick in for a hug. Chris and Matt, on the other hand, went in to dab Jack up. “It’s so hot, I’m sweating already,” Nick chuckled, pulling you into him. “It’s warm,” you agreed, pulling away slightly to get a good look at his face. He looked so much older from the last time you’d seen him, his face adorned with stubble. You also noted that he had dyed his hair, his blonde locks contrasting Chris and Matt’s black hair.
You pulled away from Nick so he could greet Jack and made your way over to Chris and Matt. Nick and Jack shared a side hug, Nick making the same comment about the weather. Before you could say or do anything, Chris was pulling you in for a hug. He held you tightly, rocking you two back and forth before letting go so you could hug Matt. Matt engulfed you in his arms just as quickly as Chris had, rubbing your back before saying, “where’s your car?”
You ignored his question, wanting to get a good look at the three of them before walking over to your car, “Let me get a good look at you guys first.” They were slightly confused at the sentiment, not understanding that they looked older and older every time you saw them. As an older sister, it was your responsibility to absorb these moments like they’d never happen again. Although they were confused, they huddled together and allowed you to examine their appearance.
Your heart swelled as you took a look at them, they looked so grown up. Each of them had stubble, Matt’s being more outgrown than Chris and Nick’s. You also noticed Nick and Matt’s arms were littered with more tattoos than last time. “You guys look so grown up right now,” you commented, a small smile growing on your face. They rolled their eyes at this, you were always so dramatic and sentimental. “What! Let me love you guys!” You exclaimed when you caught sight of their eye rolls.
“Love me by carrying my bag, kid,” Chris said, shoving the backpack he’d used as a carryon in your direction. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes as you snatched his bag and allowed Matt and Nick to hand you something of theirs too. Jack laughed at this, offering to help carry some of their things too.
“Aaaand now I hate you guys again,” you said jokingly, turning in the direction of your car and walking away. They laughed, shaking their heads and following behind you.
The ride from the airport back to your house wasn’t too long, but it seemed like forever for the triplets seeing as they had just gotten off a 3 hour flight. In retrospect, 3 hours isn’t long either, but when you paired it with the two hour time difference from L.A to Texas, the time it took them to get to the airport, and the long wait for their flight you realized that they must be tired of sitting around. “You guys hungry?” You asked, shifting to face them in the backseat.
It was 2 in the afternoon now, but because of the time difference, it was 12 in the afternoon in L.A so you figured they’d be hungry. They were all bunched up in the back seat, pillows and blankets squeezed between them. Nick’s head rested against the window, his eyes scanning the unfamiliar buildings that passed by. Matt’s head was down and his eyes were shut, chin resting against his chest with his arms crossed. He must’ve fallen asleep as soon as he got in the car, allowing himself to relax once in the presence of familiar people. Chris, who sat in the middle seat with a pillow on his lap replied, “I could eat.”
You hummed in response, waiting for Nick to reply. “Yeah, I’m getting pretty hungry,” he said, still looking outside. He noticed that the traffic here was nowhere near as bad as it was in L.A, you guys were flying down the highway and if he stared at one building too long it would become a blur. “You think Matt’s hungry?” You asked, not wanting to wake him up.
“Mmm probably, he was to nervous to eat this morning,” Chris replies, leaning forward in his seat so he can get a good look at Matt’s face. Chris grabbed one of the many blankets that were in the backseat, pulling it over Matt and tucking it snuggly against him. “Yeah, he couldn’t sleep last night either,” Nick says, finally averting his gaze from the window to look at Matt. You also look over at Matt, feeling a bit sad that he allowed his nerves to get the best of him.
“Awe, my poor little brother,” you whispered in sincerity. “Poor dude’s slumped,” Jack says, looking back at Matt quickly before looking back at the road. Matt’s eyes shot open, somehow sensing that all eyes were on him. “Oop!” You exclaimed, quickly facing forward again. All of you, with the exception of Matt, were laughing now. “What’s so funny?” His voice was groggy, a small yawn following his question.
“Nothing Matty, go back to sleep,” Chris replied, throwing a corny nickname in the mix for good measure as he readjusted the blanket. You all were still laughing, leaving Matt confused, but he decided not to question any further and shut his eyes again.
“Y’all want Whataburger?” Jack asks, he doesn’t wait for their answer as he rounds a corner and enters the parking lot of said restaurant. “Do we have a choice?” Nick asks, not knowing much about the restaurant.
“You do not,” you stated, knowing that this had become your husbands favorite restaurant since moving to Texas. “It was a rhetorical question,” Jack says, putting the car in park and smiling at Nick through the rear view mirror. “This place looks like it just got sentenced to 40 years in prison,” Nick comments, referring to the orange and white stripes on the roof of the building that resembled a prison jumpsuit.
“Team orange, for real,” Chris jokes, earning a laugh from the rest of you.
It’s 4 in the afternoon when you all finally arrive to your house, lugging all the bags inside and leaving some of them in the living room to be dealt with tomorrow. The triplets had never been to your house before so when they walked in they looked around, taking in all the little details. “Welcome to our humble abode,” you said in a dramatic English accent before beginning a house tour. It was typical for you all to put on funny accents to exaggerate the importance of a situation or to make the others laugh. They laugh at this, following behind you as you walk them through your house still speaking in your English accent. Your house wasn’t too big considering the only people who lived in it were you and Jack, so the house tour was over quickly.
“Follow me this way gentleman, let me show you where you’ll be staying,” Jack said doing the same accent you had been doing, motioning for your brothers to follow him. You laughed at this gesture, loving the fact that he played along. “Thank you kind sir,” Matt replied attempting to do the same accent, but accidentally doing his infamous country accent instead. “Well I’ll be damned, this Texas heat is getting to me,” he continued, still putting on the country accent as he played into his failed attempt at doing an English accent.
You all laugh at this, the boys following Jack to the room you’d prepared for them. In it was a queen sized bed, a blow up mattress, a television, and a closet big enough for all of them to put their things away. There was also a restroom attached to it, stocked entirely with clean towels, toilet paper, toothpaste, and any thing else they might need during their stay. The large window in the room brings in a good amount of natural light, a perfect view of the house’s backyard visible.
The triplets walk inside, throwing some of their things on the bed. Chris jumps onto the bed, sprawling his limbs out so he looks like a star. “We’ll let you guys get situated. We’ll be in the living room, okay?” you say with a chuckle, ushering Jack out of the room. “Okay, yeah. We’ll be done in a bit,” Chris replies, rolling over onto his stomach so he can look out the window into the backyard.
“Yeah, I just have to shower and I’ll be down,” Nick agrees, placing his suitcase on the floor and opening it so he can dig through his clothes for the perfect outfit. Matt agrees as well, joining Chris on the bed so he can gauge whether he wants to sleep there or on the inflatable. “Alright, I stocked the restroom with everything you guys might need. Use it all,” you assured, ready to close the door and to join your husband in the living room.
“Oooh I’m gonna make potions!” Chris says giddily as he rubs his hands together maliciously, causing you to roll your eyes and shut the door.
The next couple of days were completely adventure filled as you and Jack took your brothers to as many places you could think of. The five of you had also put together a list of locations you wanted to visit and so far you’d checked off quite a few. Considering you lived in a small town between many big cities, it was easy to compile a list of ideas. For example, on the first day you guys had gone to Six Flags, the Alamo, and had taken a river boat ride in San Antonio. The five of you must’ve gone on every ride at Six Flags at least twice.
On the second day, you visited The Galleria Mall and Color Factory in Houston, even taking a quick trip to Chinatown before heading back home. You guys took so many pictures on this day, making sure to pose as many times as possible in every room inside the Color Factory.
On the third and fourth day you guys decided to stay home, watching movies and getting takeout. You guys watched scary movies and took turns taking jabs at the characters on the screen, commenting on their poor decision making skills and how you’d easily survive every situation presented on screen. You and Nick had even baked cookies that day, not allowing Chris, Matt or Jack to help because they were sure to mess up the recipe.
Since they were only going to be here for a couple more days you wanted to make the most of it. So on the fifth day you guys were ready for yet another adventure. This time, you guys were heading back into San Antonio to go to the rodeo, an experience that your brothers had never had before. Jack unfortunately couldn’t join you guys today because he couldn’t get the day off which bummed you slightly, but you knew you’d have a good day regardless.
“Make sure you pack the water bottles,” you shouted towards your brothers, watching as they packed the trunk of your car with all the things you could possibly need today. “Oh! And the sunscreen, it’s going to get hot!” You called again, going through your mental checklist so you wouldn’t forget anything important. “It’s already hot!” Nick calls back in a sing-song tone as he shuts the trunk of your car.
All three of your brothers were super excited to go to the rodeo, but they were not excited for the blistering heat. You guys learned your lesson on the first day when you guys had gone to Six Flags and came back home extremely red and sunburnt. You locked your front door, your brothers piling into the car. Chris sat in the passenger seat with Matt in the seat behind him and Nick in the seat behind the drivers seat.
You ran over to the drivers side, opening the car door and jumping into the seat. Chris had already taken the aux cord, connecting it to his phone before scrolling through his endless playlist for the perfect song. “You guys ready?” You asked, adjusting your seat and fixing your mirrors before buckling yourself. A string of agreements came from your brothers, so you put the car in reverse and began your journey.
The drive into San Antonio wasn’t long, but for whatever reason Chris decided his current soda wasn’t up to his liking so he demanded you stopped at a gas station so he could pick something new. As annoying as it was, you agreed because Nick and Matt also wanted to stop and get something. “Fine, find something on Google Maps,” you said, not looking away from the road.
Chris grabbed his phone from the center console, where he had placed it so he could skip and search for songs as he pleased, before opening Google Maps and searching for the nearest gas station. “It says the nearest one is called busseys? I don’t know, I can’t fucking read that shit,” he said, clicking on it and allowing the phone to guide you towards the location. You listened intently for the directions, wanting to know what exit you’d have to take to get here. Nick grabbed ahold of Chris’s phone and read the name of the gas station, “Buc-ee’s?! You fucking dumbass?!”
Matt laughed at this, scooting forward in his seat to look over at the phone. He read the name, laughing at how Chris had completely butchered the pronunciation of the name. “Kid really said busseys,” Matt laughed again, sitting back in his seat. The three of them were laughing, you were giggling too but you were mostly trying to listen to the directions. “Chris! What exit is it?!” You used your right hand to try and grab the phone, but Nick was still holding it.
“Nick has the phone, how am I supposed to know!” He exclaimed, pointing at Nick like he was the culprit of a terrible crime. “Calm down, it’s the one after this one,” Nick replied as he dramatically placed the phone back on the center console. “Thank you,” you said sarcastically, shooting Nick a playful glance through the rear view to which he rolled his eyes.
When you finally pulled into the parking lot, Chris jumped up dramatically at the sight of the building. He inched closer to the dashboard to get a better look. It was the biggest gas station he had ever seen, complete with a mascot and everything! As he examined the building closer, he caught sight of a statue in the front of entrance. He squinted his eyes, trying to decipher what the statue was. When he finally realized what it was, his eyes opened in shock, “IS THAT A FUCKING BEAVER?!?”
“WHAT?! WHERE?!?” Nick shouted, moving closer to Matt for protection because he thought there was an actual beaver outside. Matt stretched his neck, trying to see over Chris’s seat to see what he was looking at. His eyes grew wide too, seeing the giant statue in front of the building. “Holy fuck that thing is huge!” He exclaimed, pushing himself up from his seat to get a better view. When he said this, Nick only became more flustered, “WHERE IS IT?!? DON’T SAY THAT!” He shouted again, causing you all to laugh.
“Nick it’s just a statue,” you said through laughter, attempting to reassure him. “Oh,” he relaxed immediately when you said this, finally looking over Chris’s seat and seeing the giant beaver statue. “He’s kinda cute,” Nick admitted, feeling silly for reacting so dramatically.
“Wait…” Chris said as he looked around suspiciously as if he was about to reveal something no one was supposed to know, “is that beaver… Bussey?” His voice came out in a whisper almost like he had just discovered a conspiracy. You erupted in a fit of laughter again, getting out of the car to make your way inside.
“Ha. Bussey,” Matt laughed to himself, unbuckling his seat and getting out of the car to walk into the gas station.
The stop at Buc-ee’s had completely sidetracked you guys and you all almost forgot about the rodeo entirely. It took you guys an abnormally long time to look through everything the store had to offer. There were food items you’d never seen before, a mini restaurant, a bakery, a section with house supplies, and even a gift shop filled to the brim with specialized Buc-ee’s merch. Chris was mesmerized by the drink station, wanting to try every single flavor. He had successfully talked you all into each getting a different flavor so he could try as many as possible.
When you finally checked out, you were each walking out with a bag or two of merch and snacks. There was so much to choose from including mugs, keychains, sweatshirts, t-shirts, and plushies all of it resembling or including the gas station’s mascot.
“Shout out to Buc-ee, man. This soda is so good,” Chris commented once you guys were back in the car, taking a long sip from his drink. “Wait let me try,” Matt said, trading his drink with Chris so they could try each others drinks. Matt took a sip of Chris’s drink, eyes widening once the flavor settled in his mouth. The soda was actually really good. “Stop, it can’t be that good,” Nick said, rolling his eyes at Matt’s theatrics. “Try it,” Matt replied, holding the drink out for Nick to take.
Nick takes a sip, eyes also widening once he realized how good it was. You watched them intently, now you wanted to taste it to see the hype. “This tastes like the time Matt threw the fork at the old lady!” Nick exclaims, taking another sip to make sure he was getting it right. “Yes! Yes!” Chris agrees, recalling the memory fondly.
“Let y/n try it!” Matt says, pulling the drink away from Nick mid sip, causing it to dribble down his chin a little. “Woah Matt, calm down tough guy,” Chris says, watching as Nick wipes the soda from his chin, mouth still full of soda. Nick tries hard to hold in his laughter so that he doesn’t spit the drink out in your car, the three of you looking at him fully expecting there to be a mess in the backseat in mere seconds. He calms himself down, breathing in deeply before swallowing.
Once the coast is clear and he’s sure that Nick isn’t going to spit his drink out, Matt hands you the cup. You take it and immediately take a sip, having the same reaction as your brothers. “It’s good, right!” Chris says, eagerly taking the drink back and taking another sip.
“That does taste like the time Matt threw the fork at the old lady!” you exclaim in excitement causing Matt to shake his head as he reminisces on the memory.
Finally you guys arrive at the rodeo, making sure to go up to every booth and ride every single ride. You guys even waited in the long lines to try the crazy food items being advertised like the fried oreos and boiled peanuts. The four of you walked around the carnival portion of the rodeo for what seemed like forever before deciding to enter the area where they had all the livestock.
“It stinks in here,” you commented as you guys walked into the building where the animals were in. You plugged your nose, leading the way through the building. “Ew it does,” Nick agreed, copying your actions and plugging his nose. Chris and Matt were either unphased by the smell or they didn’t want to be rude because they didn’t say anything.
There were so many different animals so you guys walked around the building to look at them all. After a while, you and Nick had become accustomed to the smell and took your time admiring the animals. The ducks were your personal favorite, but the cows were a close second.
“Look! They have horses over there!” Matt said, this was the most excited you’d seen him since you’d arrived here. He rushed his way over to where the horses were, the rest of you following behind him. You guys pushed through the sea of people, trying to keep up with Matt. “Matt, wait up!” Chris shouted, excusing himself as he pushed past people to try and reach Matt. Before you knew it, you guys had lost sight of him and were looking around trying to spot him in the crowd.
“I think he went this way,” Nick said, leading the way in a completely different direction. You and Chris follow Nick, careful not to leave too much distance between between the three of you as to avoid getting lost. “Nick, you’re going to fast,” you mumble, trying to grab ahold of his hand but fail due to being pushed out of the way by other people trying to make their way through the crowd. You stop dead in your tracks, not wanting to bump into anyone causing Chris to bump into you.
“Sorry,” he says, moving to stand beside you. When you start walking again, you look up to see where Nick went but you can’t find him anymore either. “Great, now we lost Nick,” you groaned, facepalming while Chris tiptoed to see over the crowd. You were too short to see that high up so there was no point in trying, but Chris had spotted Nick’s blonde hair in the distance.
“He’s over there, I see him,” he says confidently, grabbing your shoulders and turning you in the direction he saw Nick. He pushes your shoulders lightly, guiding you in Nick’s general direction. When he felt like you guys were heading the right way, he let go of your shoulders and began walking next to you instead of behind you. “He might have gone this way,” he says, turning right and walking in the direction his gut was leading him.
“Which way?” You asked, looking over to where he was just standing. Another groan escaped your lips, you had just lost Chris too. For a while, you stood in place hoping that one of them would somehow find you, but after about 5 minutes you realized no one was going to find you in this large sea of people. Panic was beginning to build up inside of you, but you took a deep breath and calmed yourself down, determined to find your brothers so you guys could leave.
Your inner monologue was going crazy, thinking of all the things that could’ve happened to your brothers. For all you know, they could’ve all walked out of this building and were somewhere across the whole venue. First you passed the pigs, not finding anyone there. You asked some people if they’d seen any of your brothers, trying to describe what they looked like before realizing they were literally almost identical and that asking people wasn’t going to get you anymore.
Secondly, you passed the chickens, still coming up empty handed. By the time you had circled back to where you started, you were actually beginning to panic. You felt the tears brimming, trying to hold it in so you wouldn’t cry in front of a room full of strangers. Everything was slowly becoming too much, the animals, the people, the noise, even the smell was beginning to bother you again. Before the tears could flow, you heard Nick, “Oh thank God I found you!”
You turned in the direction you heard him, an instant wave of relief washing over your body. “Hey, you okay?” He asked softly, noticing how scared you looked. His hands were on your shoulders, grounding you. Once you saw him, you weren’t as scared, but the built up emotions from before had shaken you. You nodded your head in response, wiping a stray tear.
“Let’s go find Chris and Matt,” he suggested with a small smile. He slung his arm around your shoulder, pulling you close to him protectively. To your surprise, he was being very gentle with you. Ever since you’d shared your heartfelt story on the podcast, Nick had felt an urge to protect you like you’d always protected him, Chris and Matt.
You two did another lap around the building, making small talk along the way before deciding that Chris and Matt had probably left the building. As you two walked outside, you saw Chris and Matt walking in your direction each with a corndog in hand. They were too immersed in their own conversation to notice you and Nick.
“What the fuck?!” Nick shouted once they were in earshot, only saying it loud enough for them to hear. They perked up at this, looking in the direction of you two with confused looks on their faces. “We walked around that place like 5 fucking times looking for you idiots!” Nick exclaimed again. Matt shrugged, taking a bite from his corndog. “You’re both so annoying,” you grumbled, actually upset.
“We saw you guys, it looked like you were having a good time,” Chris commented before taking a bite of his own corndog, not catching that you were actually mad at them this time. “And we were hungry soooo… we got food,” Matt explains, offering you a bite of his food. You push his hand away in annoyance only causing him to offer Nick a bite. Nick rolled his eyes, but he took Matt up on the offer and took a bite. The corndog was good, but he was still mad.
“Let’s just go home,” you reply, feeling the exhaustion and anger ruin your mood. “Hmm yeah, it’s starting to get dark,” Chris agrees, dipping his corndog in mustard before taking yet another bite. Matt agrees with him, making a comment about how he hates driving at night. How could two people be so oblivious?
You decide to hold your tongue, instead humming and beginning to walk to your car. You’re quiet the entire ride home, not singing along to any of the songs Chris is playing and not engaging in any of the conversations surrounding you. Nick is the only who notices, both Matt and Chris still completely oblivious.
Finally, when you get home you sigh in relief and turn the car off. You unbuckle your seatbelt, getting out of the car and slamming the door in the process. “What’s her problem?” Chris asks, taken aback by how hard you slammed the door. Nick mentally facepalms, how is Chris just now noticing you were upset? “That was dramatic,” Matt chimes in, watching as you disappear into the house without waiting for them to get off the car.
“Are you guys that dumb?” Nick asks, unbuckling himself and gathering the bags that you all had accumulated throughout the day. “What? She slammed the door, not us,” Chris said, also gathering his things from the front seat. Matt was about to interject, but was swiftly interrupted by Nick, “She was looking for us inside that building!” Chris and Matt couldn’t be more confused.
“What building?!” Matt asked, raising his voice to the same level Nick had. “THE ONE WITH THE ANIMALS YOU FUCKING IDIOT!” Nick responded, unafraid to get loud. “Okay? We were looking for you guys too?” Chris responds sassily, not quite ready to raise his voice yet. “She was crying, though. I think she got really scared,” Nick’s voice softened a bit, remembering the scared look on your face and the tear that rolled down your cheek.
“Oh,” the other two mumbled, finally realizing that they had kinda ditched you two in there. “Let’s just go inside,” Nick sighs, opening his door and getting out of the car before walking inside the house. Chris and Matt felt bad now, but how were they supposed to know you’d get scared? Older sisters weren’t supposed to get scared. They got off the car and joined Nick inside.
The next morning you woke up bright and early, still a little upset from yesterday, but not as upset as you were when you got home. Everyone was up already, you could hear noise coming from the kitchen and the triplets talking with your husband. You got ready for the day before heading downstairs, ready to greet your family in the kitchen. As you neared the final step, you stopped because you wanted to hear what the boys were talking about.
“You guys need to apologize, she was really scared,” Nick said, referring to yesterdays events. Leave it to Nick to try and make amends and keep everyone happy. You were going to walk in the kitchen, but Chris’s voice stopped you, “What if she cries again?”
“She’s going to cry, she always cries,” you hear Jack say, followed by the sound of whisking. ‘I hope he’s making pancakes,’ you thought before realizing that he had just called you a crybaby. He’s your husband and here he is agreeing with your brothers that you cry a lot. “When she comes down, I’ll apologize,” this time it was Matt who spoke, feeling a little nervous, but also sad. You two had never had a falling out before. Growing up you would only ever have big fights with Justin, sometimes having an argument or two with Nick, even a slight disagreement with Chris, but never had you been actually mad at Matt. He felt like he had failed you.
You were done waiting, you took the last step and rounded the corner. “Good morning,” you greeted, offering everyone a small smile, including your husband. You walk over to Jack only to see what he was making, but he thinks you’re going over for a kiss. He leans down, ready to plant his lips on yours, but you turn your head to the side and let it land on your cheek. He’s taken aback by this, but doesn’t say anything. You might’ve let him kiss you, but upon inspection you realized he was making eggs. ‘Gross,’ you thought, before walking over to the fridge for something to drink. You liked eggs, but you were hoping for pancakes.
“Morning,” Chris says awkwardly, coughing right afterwards to try and sound casual. “Morning,” Matt greets, sounding extremely nervous as he watches your every move. “How’d you sleep?” Nick asks, pouring cereal into a bowl. “Mmm pretty good for the most part,” you reply, grabbing the orange juice from inside the fridge before closing it. Nick hums in response, grabbing his bowl of cereal and walking over to the kitchen table.
“How did you guys sleep?” You ask, look between your three brothers. Nick knows you’re really only asking Chris and Matt so he stays quiet, silently eating his cereal as he prepares for the events to unfold. “Um, pretty good?” Chris’s answer is unsure, he’s scared to say the wrong thing. Was he supposed to say he had the worst sleep of his life? Cause if he was it would be a lie. He hated fighting with you, but he wasn’t the type to kiss ass just to earn forgiveness.
You nodded your head, not saying anything before looking at Matt. Matt hates this, he quickly realized you were probably going to scold them after this. “Same, I slept- um- I slept good,” he’s stuttering through his words, so nervous that he could probably shit himself. Nick is still munching away, watching you all intently. Jack, on the other hand, was too busy stirring his eggs to care about a sibling quarrel.
“Hmm, okay,” you respond, slowly nodding your head. “I’m sorry?” Chris finally says, wondering if that’s what you wanted to hear. You smirk a little, looking over expectantly at Matt this time. He realizes what this is and goes from nervous to annoyed. You weren’t even mad anymore, you were just trying to get them to apologize to embarrass them. “I’m sorry,” he whispers, avoiding your gaze in fear that he’ll go completely red.
“What was that? Sorry I couldn’t hear you,” you pushed, cupping a hand to your ear. “I’m sorry,” he replied again slightly louder than before. “I’m sorry, Nick could you hear him?” You look back at Nick who quickly shakes his head no, chuckling at the entire situation. “Go ahead Matt, we couldn’t hear you,” you had let go of Chris at this point to to get a better look at Matt.
“I’m sorry!” He’s almost shouting at this point, beyond annoyed with you. “Why didn’t you just say that the first time!” You ask innocently, hugging him dramatically. Matt attempts to wiggle out of your grasp making Chris, Nick and Jack laugh as they watch you two struggle like children.
“The eggs are ready!” Jack announces, turning the stove off and picking the pan up in order to serve everyone. “I wish they were pancakes,” you grumble, letting go of Matt to take a better look at the eggs. Matt sighs in relief, hating everything about the previous interaction.
“Yes, chef!” Jack salutes you like a soldier, turning the stove back on immediately. You laugh, finally giving him the kiss he didn’t get earlier.
The last week flies by quickly and before you know it you’re back at the airport dropping your brothers off with more things than they arrived with. “I’m going to miss y’all,” you whisper into the group hug, not wanting to let go. The last two weeks had been so fun and now you probably won’t be together again until Thanksgiving or Christmas.
“We can always come back to visit,” Nick suggests, not wanting you to cry. There was always an opportunity to visit, especially on the weeks when their schedules were flexible. “Yeah, don’t be sad. Plus we call all the time,” Chris chimes in, the four of you breaking from your hug. You nod at this comment, knowing it was only half true. The times you were able to call them were slim, the time difference playing a sight role in your ability to coordinate a good time to talk.
“Plus there’s still Christmas,” Matt says, becoming sad at how far away it seems. “Yeah, you guys are right,” you admit. This wasn’t the end of the world, you’d see them again soon. You were mostly sad that you were going to be alone at home now when your husband was at work. Plus, in a month you’d be returning to work. You groaned internally at the thought of returning to work.
“Good afternoon passengers. This is a pre-boarding announcement for flight 76A to Los Angeles, California. All those boarding this flight please make your way towards the gate 3 immediately.” You hear over the intercom. Suddenly it feels more real, they were really leaving.
“That’s us,” Chris says, looking in the direction of the gate before grabbing ahold of his carryon and slinging it over his shoulder. You smile weakly at them, nodding your head. Of course you know they have to leave, you understand that they have a life of their own. “Alright, I guess we gotta go,” Nick says, offering you one last hug goodbye. “I love you guys, be safe. Call me when you get home,” you say as you hug him.
“So bossy,” Matt chuckles, offering you a hug of his own. You laugh a little as you hug him, too sad to argue with him over this comment. “This is the final boarding call for passengers on flight 76A to Los Angeles, California. Please proceed to gate 3 immediately.” The boys grab their things in a rush when they hear this.
“Okay guys, we gotta to go,” Chris says, ushering his brothers towards gate 3 as quickly as possible. Chris hated goodbyes, he didn’t see the point in all the sappy hugs and kisses. It’s not like you were never going to see each other again. You know this, so you don’t press him for a hug. “Yes! Go!” You agree, waving them in the direction of their boarding gate. They hurriedly walk away with all their things in their hands, looking back at you and waving. You were a little sad you didn’t get to hug Chris goodbye, but you’d survive. You watch as they rush to make it to their gate on time.
Just as you’re about turn to leave you see Chris stop and you swear you hear him groan. He drops his things and turns back to you. Before you know it he’s running back to you and engulfing you in a hug. The guilt was eating at him the closer he got to the gate, how was he going to leave without hugging his only sister goodbye? “I should’ve just hugged you the first time,” he says, resting his chin on the top of your head. You smile, wrapping your arms around your brother and rubbing his back. Who knew Chris could be such a sap?
“CHRIS!” Nick yells from the gate as he tries to tell the flight attendant to wait for him. “Okay, I gotta go now,” he lets go of you and runs towards where Nick is, grabbing his things in the process. “I’m going!” He yells, almost tripping from how quickly he’s running. They disappear into the gate, the doors closing behind them.
You were going to miss them, but you were so glad you had the chance to spend time with them.
I hope you all are safe and healthy during this difficult time *sends coffee, food, water, and love your way* ° Today's little snippet: Preparation for Neró Krinos were finally complete! My sisters and I practically threw ourselves down on the rocks from exhaustion. "Finally, I can breathe again!" Exclaimed Rania. Ever the dramatic one. "I'm just glad we were able to finish in time for the festival," Bea said as Dora and Danai nodded their heads in agreement. I clapped my hands excitement bubbling up in me, "We did it and we did it together," I smiled happily making my sisters do the same... ° That's it for today's little snippet. Shoto Todoroki x BigSister!Reader (Platonic Fluff)
Warnings⚠️ : Kinda angst because of Touya’s death and Endeavor being feces. It’s fluffy though And it’s super short
Summary: You were always close to the Todoroki Family. Having them all take liking to you made you feel apart of the family. Everytime you come over a certain multicolored haired baby makes his way into your arms. That was until Touya dies.
Tumblr media
Before Shoto was showing signs of a quirk, and his older brother was still alive, you were always holding his small body in your arms. Every time he heard his older brothers announce that they had returned from school, he’d hop out of whoever’s lap he was in and run (more like waddle) his way into your arms. Rei always looked as if she was on the verge of tears so you helped around the house a lot, despite Touya’s nagging. You treated both of your best friends’ siblings as your own and they looked at you like a big/little sister. But, It all changed when Shoto’s quirk(s) started to manifest.
Endeavor banned anyone from interacting with Shoto. That meant you could no longer see the boy after school or even come within 5 feet of the Todoroki household. Not being able to see your “siblings” anymore saddened you. Touya even started to distance himself from you, leaving you with more sadness and loneliness. One day, your parents sat you down in the kitchen to inform you of news you wouldn’t be able to forget. Your best friend had died.
It rained hard on the day of Touya’s funeral but the tears streaming down your face ran harder. Your pre-teen brain couldn’t handle this much sadness. Shoto’s dual-colored eyes wandered through the crowd after hearing a familiar voice. When he spotted your shaking form he got up from his seat, ignoring his father’s calls, and ran towards you.
“Oneechan. Up” His toddler fingers clenched and unclenched, signifying that he wanted you to pick him up. You sit him down in your lap and rub at his tear-stained cheeks. “Will you leave now that Niisan is gone”
“No baby” You sniff, holding the boy’s head close to your chest as if he’d leave too “I’ll always be with you”
————————————
Years had passed since then. You were now a third-year at U.A high school and you still kept in touch with the Todoroki siblings. Except for Shoto. You’d constantly ask his older siblings how he’s been doing, but they always say that they haven’t spoken to him. Natsuo still nagged at you to do your schoolwork even though it was you who had helped him graduate the year prior. Fuyumi helped with your hero studies in your second year when you needed help the most. But you still missed the dual-colored toddler that loved being in your arms.
You smiled and waved at other students as you prepared for this year's sports festival. You were excited to see the new-coming first years and see the infamous class 1-A in action. You hadn’t heard much about the students personally but you did hear about the USJ villain attack. You wandered around campus as recreational games took place. You had made it past the Calvary battle for your year and decided to skip out on the games. Not like they counted or anything.
“L/n” A deep, rough voice called behind you. You recognized the voice immediately making your skin crawl. You slowly turned around and looked up to a fiery, literally, glare.
“Endeavor. It’s good to see-“
“I’m not here to catch up” The hero interrupted “I’m here to tell you not to get in my son’s way”
You raised an eyebrow at his statement. His son? Did he have another son that you didn’t know about? “I’m sor-“
“Shoto doesn’t need pity distractions like you” He finished off, walking away. You glared daggers into the man’s back as he pushed through small crowds of people. Your expression falters as the words replayed through your mind.
“Shoto?” You whispered to yourself with a smile. You use your quirk to teleport yourself to the first year arena. You searched the crowd for red and white hair. Sighing in defeat you make your way back to the third year arena.
As you were mentally preparing yourself for the next tournament you bump into another student.
“Oh I’m so sorry are you alright?” You ask the green-haired boy. He was redder than Amajiki when he had to announce his hero name.
“I-I’m f-f-fine” He stuttered. You lightly laugh as the shaking boy walks away.
You turn to continue walking to your year’s arena but was stopped when you were met with a dual-colored stare. Your heart felt like it was going to break through your rib cage at the sight of Shoto. His face stained with a frown similar to the one Touya permanently wore, a burn scar covered his left eye and he was so tall.
“Sh-Sho?” you stutter, teary-eyed.
His features softened at the sight of your e/c eyes. The same eyes he swore not to forget. The same eyes that lit up every time he ran into your arms.
“Oneechan?” His voice cracked. You slowly reached out to grab his hand. Usually, he’d pull away and spit curses at whoever touched him. But your touch was different. Your touch reminded him of how close you two were. How close you were with his siblings. How tight you used to hug him from being gone at school all day.
He unconsciously wrapped his arms around you, lightly crying into his shoulder. Your hand strokes at his hair while the other strokes his back as you whispered reassuring words into his ear.
“I’m here Sho. I’m here”
The theater was full of fans, co-workers, family, and other celebrities, this was Tom moment! Homecoming was finally here and he was so excited to share it with the world. Tom, Zendaya and Jon Watts stood in front of the crowd and said a few words about the film.
“Tom, do you have anything to add?” Jon asked.
Tom pressed the mic to his lips and smiled “Y-yeah, yeah. Thank you, everyone, so much for coming out and supporting the film,” he spoke happily. Then suddenly a feeling of sadness that washed over him. His bright smile started to fade. “But there’s one Holland that’s missing, my sister Y/N couldn’t be with me tonight,” the poor boys voice started to break.
Zendaya put her arm around him for support “Tom, there’s one more thing we have to show you before we start the movie,” she told him.
He raised an eyebrow as she pointed a well-manicured finger to the side of the stage. Once he saw who appeared from backstage, he dropped to his knees and sobbed with happiness.
Y/N watched her brother drop and she let out a laugh “Get up,” he laughed as he hugged him tightly. Tom gripped the sides of her uniform and didn’t want to let go.
“I hate you,” he joked.
“Love you more, Darling.” She rubbed his back as they stood up.
The crowd gave a loud cheer as their mom ran and hugged them both “I missed you,” she sobbed.
“I missed to too, Mom,” Y/N told her.
“The Hollands!” Jon cheered, making the crowd clap louder for the reunited family. the crying family returned to their seats and were finally all together to see Tom’s biggest achievement so far.
So much has happened to the Connelly Clan since Book I, yet some things have remained the same—family love and loyalty. ❤️❤️❤️ Their enduring bond proves that blood is thicker than water. Flash forward to Book III and Kate is still striving to live up to the promise she made to her dying mother. 😇 Do you think it’s even possible for her to protect her brothers from the claws of The Academy? 🤔 She can’t even save herself. Ranger steps up, but is he the right man for the job?💪🏽 And where does Pete fit into the picture now that he’s lost in the wind? 💨 Answers coming soon . . . . . . . #fanfiction #epicbooks #booksaga #familybond #goodreads #readersfavorite #bookpick #readingromance #enemiesrolovers #booksequel #newbooks #bookdiscovery #readaway #quaranreading #tbrpile #readers #sunshinebookclub #bookclubfavorites #booktour #bookcommunity #bookshelf #booknerd #bookshark #backstory #countrylife #countrygirl #bigsister #surviving @topshelfbookreviews @readersfavoritecom @bookbub @goodreads @amazonkindle
