Thank God I'm not public on Twitter. Couple weeks ago twitterers were making memes about a teenager saying he was going to kill himself from their harassment, now they're making memes about a kid going homeless because they didn't like the genocide occurring in Palestine.
Genuinely somethings wrong with people's brain on that app

I’m pretty sure Trump and Elon had this exact discussion on election night.
Only difference is that it appears that Elon actually does have the president’s pecker in his pocket.

I like to imagine in the in-universe hetalia, before Brasil banned twitter back in... September? I think it was September. When muskrat was being contacted via twitter by the brazilian supreme court to stop breaking the law and appoint someone to be the websites liaison in the country, I imagine he would have banned Brasils NP account from Xitter, who was in no way, shape or form involved with that, before it was officially banned, which would lead to the personification to post somewhere else something that would roughly translate to "son of a B*tch banned me from twitter", which would lead to, once the government finally banned it, people (mostly international) saying the country banned Twitter for banning their NP (factually incorrect), and Brasil would be bullied by the other NPs on the group chat.
Lmao stop writing my posts for me! That would totally happen. Like Elon just throwing a little tantrum and banning Brazil while Brazil is like 🧍‍♂️"wtf did I do". And then people are blaming him for Twitter being banned while he's confused as fuck.
It would be really funny if he just woke up to everyone making fun of him in the group chat. That's how he finds out about the whole thing.

Elon Musk has identified the party most responsible for antisemitism on Twitter. It’s ‘the Jews' — specifically the Anti-Defamation League. Musk shared his thinking by adding his opinion to a tweet by “Keith Woods.” Woods is the nom de Twitter of Keith O’Brien, a nasty little, virulently antisemitic, Irish fascist. Previous management had banned him from Twitter. But he is now a fellow traveler with the site's new owner. Musk’s words were clear. “The ADL, because they are so aggressive in their demands to ban social media accounts for even minor infractions, are ironically the biggest generators of anti-Semitism* on this platform!” This is not the first time Musk has promoted O’Brien on Twitter or banged on about the ADL. He liked a previous post in which Keith had said:  “The ADL’s favourite tactic is financially blackmailing social media companies into removing free speech on their platforms. Why should they have a platform on X to hold @elonmusk to ransom? It’s time to #BanTheADL.” Being a smug sophist, Musk could argue that he is not saying the ADL is antisemitic, only that their actions cause other people to be antisemitic. (Note the careful language “... are ironically the biggest generators of anti-Semitism on this platform!”) However, that would be like claiming that you were not blaming the victim for her rape when you said she was wearing a short skirt. You only meant that if a woman wears a short skirt, what does she expect?
Take away Muskrat's smugness and all you have left is a fat walrus

My favorite part of this is that Elon is the only person in that shit show of a political sphere who doesn’t know this.
He genuinely believes he’s the Special Boy that’s going to Save the Day.
And the only reason why blaming him for everything isn’t working as it should, is because no one in the Trump admin has the emotional regulation to keep Muskrat from accessing sensitive info while using him as a Patsy.
thinking about when my professor told me how the boards of companies/orgs/etc. will sometimes hire on a CEO/whatever who they know will basically take a chainsaw to existing infrastructure, let them fuck as much shit up as possible, and then promptly fire them as soon as they've accomplished what the board wanted them to do. then they can point the finger at that guy & look like they're the heroes and the problem is resolved because he's gone now. and they still get to keep all the changes they wanted that nobody else did.
anyway I think it's fun and all to watch the two most divorced men on the planet publicly divorce each other. and also. maybe keep that in mind, is all.

Can the Muskrat shut the United States government?
Sure looks that way. The richest person in the world has turned his wealth into raw power. That's what oligarchy looks like.
ROBERT REICH
DEC 19
Tumblr media
Friends,
If the government shuts down Saturday, Elon Musk will be largely to blame.
Musk went on a daylong rampage yesterday against the continuing resolution drafted by House Speaker Mike Johnson and his leadership team to keep the government going.
Musk posted nearly nonstop on his social media platform X about how lawmakers must kill it. “Any member of the House or Senate who votes for this outrageous spending bill deserves to be voted out in 2 years!” Musk wrote in one post.
Musk — the richest person in the world — was joined in his posting spree by another billionaire, Vivek Ramaswamy, whom Trump asked to partner with Musk in an effort to slash government spending and reduce the federal budget deficit.
Republicans gauging support for the legislation said they were bleeding votes as a result of Musk’s barrage.
Then, after Musk spent the day telling Republicans not to support the bill, Trump weighed in against it, too. That put the bill on life support.
If this isn’t oligarchy, I don’t know what is.
You may not get access to services you depend on just before the holidays because an unelected billionaire shadow president wanted it that way.
Funding for essentials will be jeopardized — disaster relief, clean water protections, food safety inspections, cancer research, and nutrition programs for children.
Federal workers like air traffic controllers will be required to work without pay just as air travel is about to pick up.
The same goes for members of our military.
Musk effectively blocked a government spending bill by mobilizing his 205 million followers on X and then using his influence on Trump —influence he bought by spending more than $270 million getting Trump elected.
Yet Musk’s concern about the federal deficit seems to disappear whenever Trump and MAGA Republicans talk about passing tax cuts that will disproportionately benefit billionaires like Musk. Tax cuts, I might add, that will balloon the deficit by nearly $5 trillion.
We’re getting a preview of what the next four years will look like — dysfunction in D.C. that will make your life worse, driven by a petulant billionaire with an unquenchable thirst for wealth and power.
A billionaire wielding his influence over the rest of us proves we are in a Second Gilded Age.
But there may be a silver lining to this Gilded Age cloud. The lesson of the First Gilded Age is that when concentrated wealth, corruption, and ensuing hardship for average working Americans become so blatant that they offend the values of the majority of us, we rise up and demand real, systemic change.
It’s only a matter of time. A government shutdown that hurts average working people, engineered by the richest person in the world, might just hasten it.
What do you think?

This is a very, very honest question, but it's one i've been struggling with: Do you think Nick Fuentes removal from YT and twitter and whatnot and having most of his rhetoric removed from the internet violates free speech? I've seen some (right wingers) complain that while they "disagree" with his message, his treatment is another example of "cancel culture" and a "violation of the first amendment."
No. Here's why:
1) The First Amendment means that the government cannot put you in jail for your speech. That's it (and indeed, it does not protect you from the reasonable consequences of deliberately reckless speech, like shouting fire in a crowded theater.) Twitter, YouTube and all the rest are private companies and fully able to enforce terms of service on anyone they fucking well please. Probably why Elon Manbaby Musk bought Twitter, because all those Nazis got kicked off and he wants to bring them back.
2) The Muskrat is a great example of the hypocrisy of the "free speech" argument on the right. It's the right for them to say whatever hateful and offensive shit they please, never suffer any consequences for it, engage in harassment and silencing of everyone else, and act like that is a fair standard. They have not shown that they are remotely capable or interested in actually behaving fairly on this, and they deserve zero benefit of the doubt.
3) This "I disagree with his message but he should be allowed to say it and be given a platform for it!!!" is, once again, the ultimate bullshit. A society does not have any inherent obligation to give a platform to, or any tolerance of, Nazis. Nazis manipulate the ideals of liberal "tolerant" society to argue that they are "just another opinion" to "be tolerated," which then shifts the blame to everybody else for opposing them: Why Aren't You Being Tolerant Of Their Opinion?
4) As previously discussed, individual humans do not have an automatic and unchallenged right to do whatever the hell they want all the time, because uh, we live in a society and have collective responsibilities to others. Nazis have no function in any remotely civilised society and do not need to be tolerated for any reason, especially since as noted, they enter the public space solely for the purpose of weaponizing it and getting rid of everyone else inside it. Even aside from that, people simply do not have to give you dick if you're a hateful violent asshole who takes advantage of forced milquetoast ideals of "toleration" to hurt everybody else.
5) Nick Fuentes and every other hateful Nazi pissbaby like him are all absolute scum and deserve nothing. Die mad about it, fascists.

So, uh, hi? Long time no see!
IT'S LEGIT BEEN FIVE YEARS HASN'T IT HAHAHAHAHAHA
So a lot of stuff has happened since I left - in short order:
~DeviantArt went to shit and got a confusing new look which I didn't gel with, so I left. Afterwards, I pretty much exclusively used Twitter...up until you-know-what happened just recently. So now I'm back here!
~I ended up getting a new drawing tablet and have pretty much quit using pencils and paper entirely. I used GIMP for the first year or so that I had the tablet, but now I've got Krita, and it's SO much easier to work with! Highly recommended!
~I realized I may be trans??? Blame Snapchat. XD
And, uh, WOW THINGS HAVE CHANGED. I have no idea where anything is at the moment; please bear with me as I sort things out XD
In the meantime, I hope anyone who still remembers me on here is looking forward to me being active again sometime in the future! (Near future, probably, if Elon Muskrat tanks Twitter enough LOL)

i feel like the reason capitalism continues to thrive is there isnt any one person to pin the blame of all the death it has created. like sure we have bezos and muskrat and bill gates but these ppl have worked hard to obscure and decentralise our notions of what capitalist leadership looks like. capitalists love to point at stalin or castro or mao and list at length the crimes theyve committed but refuse to acknowledge the suffering capitalism has wrought because it isnt technically any one persons fault. an elite "few" maybe, but as i said, aside from narcissists like elon musk, they work really hard to make sure ppl dont know who tf they are
