Here's the smocking I did for Harrow's cosplay! I really love how it turned out and I think it's going to make one hell of a backpanel for the top! ✨

Oh, and here's a little WIP of the bones I'm beading! They're gonna go at the bottom of the skirt.

Both of these ideas might be just a tad bit out of my sewing experience, but if you don't challenge yourself, you aren't going to progress. ✨

Anyway, I have 2 months till the con I'm going to debut this cosplay at! If everything goes well, it should be finished right on time (wirh a little bit time to spare 🤞).

Funny how these can sound like silly little jokes. Fionna basically dismisses them as idle chatter. But WE know these are all references to what these folks are in the 'original' F&C Timeline/in Ooo. They are just as important as Fionna’s dreams (if not more cause as far as we can tell they are 100% accurate, without Fionna's Sailor Moon Filter on everything).

Everyone in this universe is haunted by memories of their original, magical selves.

I looked it up on fandom. We compared them with pictures of both plane types.

HE WAS RIGHT.

I think about Ahi Estare a lot, mostly about this version with all of the characters singing it for the auditions for the big show in season 1.

My thoughts are:

How did the studio staff decide Tomas is the best singer amongst the guys shown here? He was the weakest by far singing here, and the show even makes it a point that he can't dance well, so overall, he's the worst choice..

Leon crushed his audition on the other hand and had the best performance out of the guys.

As for the girls, I know the show stated that Ludmila was chosen to placate Gregorio. I think she was the weakest though

The show framed it as Violetta being the strongest when it wasn't even close here. Francesca carries this song and is 99% of the reason I think about this song a lot. We were robbed with the lack of a full rendition of her singing this song. I also love her energy in this scene, it makes me genuinely happy

Want to know how even the crew of this show knew that Leon and Francesca had the best performances? They get the most positive reactions from the reaction shots of other characters in this scene.

Leon gets a slight smile from Braco and Pablo.

Francesca gets a bigger smile from Napo and a smile from Angie when she's talking to Pablo.

Lil' progress update for my Harrow cosplay:

Con crunch is well underway! I have quite a few things to finish up till the end of the week, but most of all I gotta finish up beading the bones on the picture above cause next week is reserved for sewing them onto the skirt. 😎

One of the aforementioned things is Harrow's bone armor...

I don't think I'll manage to even start working on the stole... I wanna make a beaded design over it, but it's a VERY ambitious idea for something I have basically zero time to work on...
