Could you do a modern reader/Dani, where the s/o introduces Squishmallows to our beloved redheaded fruitfly? And Dani just becoming obsessed with these cuddly plushes and dedicating entire rooms in the castle to her growing collection.

Also, I headcannon Alcina blaming s/o for Dani's obsession and pretending to be upset at the Squishmallow infestation in her castle, but secretly has a collection of her own (the super tiny 5 inch egg-shaped ones, because the thought of this giant woman holding these tiny plushes has me rolling).

She has a vast collection-

knitted ones gifted to her, ones she has practically begged her sisters to make her, some she has stolen from the village

Daniela seems to love them all, and cuddle them all equally, sometimes even in a big pile

She has countless in her bed alone, ones you must rearrange every time you attempt sleeping or cuddling there

Still, somehow, you’re always still laying on one

And in youthful fashion, Daniela gasps and “rescues” the ones you’re on top of and “squishing”

The thought inspires you:

Swuishmallows

You save the surprise for a rainy, cold day. You know, you won’t need to wait long

Daniela is lounging in her bed as usual, her head hanging off the side and her hands busying themselves with her stuffed giraffe

She beams at you, her face upside down, when you enter her room

“Hello my love! Will you play with me?”, she asks, hopeful

You barely have a moment to brace yourself as Daniela throws a unicorn stuffed animal your way, now sitting fully on the bed again with her legs crossed

You smile at her; it seems not even a rainy day can make the energy and sunshine in your girlfriend go away

Nonetheless, you decide to surprise her today

“I’ve brought you something”, you announce, a smile on your face and a large grin on hers

You’re lucky she hasn’t tackled you yet; Daniela loves surprises

With wide, golden eyes staring up at you, she demands to know what it is

Naturally, you cave in

Her eyes widen and golden eyes become nearly fully black as her iris widens at what you pull from your back

A stuffed animal! A duck! From her ugly duckling story? Maybe!

The animal’s top part is a beautiful green, with only a yellow beak and black eyes visible. Split by a white line, the bottom part is brown

She squeals all too happily, immediately grabbing it

Upon doing so, she gasps

It’s softer than any stuffed animal she has ever had

Daniela squishes it, eyes wide

What is this thing? She doesn’t understand. Never has she had a stuffed animal so perfect!

She smudges it against her face, uncaring of the blood that clings to it. You don’t bother reminding her. Everything can be washed, after all

You watch her for a moment, the second surprise still behind your back, smiling as she admires it

It’s a surprise she hasn’t broken it yet, rea-

Daniela shrieks as she bites into it, her sharp fangs stuck in the soft fabric of the duck squishmallow

She can barely see you with the stuffed animal in her face

It’s a sight enough to make you laugh, your precious lover tying to pull her sharp, fang-like teeth back out of the soft fabric she was bound to bite into

“Let me, sweet girl”, you coo, setting the second squishmallow on the floor where she cannot see it yet

She stays relatively still for you as you untangle her, a wide grin persisting on her lips once you take the stuffed animal from her

She whines, reaching for it yet again, and when you take too long, her swarm eagerly retrieves it from you

“Will you play with me now?!”, she asks eagerly, swarming from her bed with the duck clutched tightly to her chest

Her eyes widen at the second squishmallow on the floor, though

A cow! With adorable little horns!

Immediately she reaches for it too, whining only when you lift it and hold it out of her reach

“I thought you wanted to play, buttercup”, you reason, a toothy grin on your lips as her eyes widen and a large smile widens on her lips

Immediately, you’re yanked to the table for a tea party with her new additions!

Upon finding out there are multiple different squishmallows, Daniela nearly goes into a frenzy

She wants them all! She needs them all!

Being the spoiled, youngest daughter she is, she immediately swarms off to find Alcina once you tell her of the many squishmallows existing

You don’t need to be present to know Daniela is unrelenting

“Mother? Mother? Mother, please! Mother we need it!”, she whines. Although “we” truly just means Daniela needs it

Alcina sighs. She knows, this will become a new obsession for her daughter- a pricy one at that

Daniela plays dirty, and is very well aware of the weapons in her holster

She immediately grasps her most powerful one, and Alcina has trouble tearing her gaze away from the golden, perfectly trained puppy eyes that stare up at her

“Please, mama?”

“I suppose, what are a few ones, my dove?…”

Daniela grins triumphantly

Of course, it is not only a few

With your IPad in Daniela’s hand and your hand clasped in hers, she practically shoves it in her mother’s face

“We need these!”, she reasons. “We already put them in the basket, Mother!”, she says, bouncing in place in excitement, so much so Alcina needs to take the strange, glowing IPad from her

Upon looking down, scolding words turn into mush when Alcina once again looks into Daniela’s wide, golden eyes

“It’s so lonely at the castle, mama. We can’t even go outside now”, Daniela whines

She knows, this is a battle she has won yet again. Her mother can never truly say no to her

And so, the eager woman waits day and night at the window

At last! At last they arrive!

When you enter her room, you see only her face and the tip of her head poking out of a large pile of stuffed animals- her squishmallows

A yellow lion that she has adorned with a small hat!

A pink butterfly, the wings glittery, a panda, a green dinosaur, a red crab, a pink unicorn, with a ring slung over the horn, a koala, a mouse in grey and with pink ears

8 so far, but there’s more hidden in the pile!

A bee, yellow with black stripes, a clownfish she has named, of course, Nemo. You don’t even need to ask her to know this. You know her

A red and purple octopus, a raccoon, a grey cat, a pink, and a grey bunny

Lastly, a leopard, and a fly she holds close to her

You smile. How fitting

She giggles as she rolls around in her not so little pile, marking them all with her scent and giggling at the softness

Her laughter and giggles only increase in volume when you too join her, your arms around her in the soft pile

Daniela, unsurprisingly, becomes obsessed with the squishmallows

She wants them all! She wants to collect them!

And so, she asks her mother for a room yet again

Technically, all three sisters were given rooms just for themselves: Bela a study, Cassandra a laboratory in the dungeons, and Daniela a warm, cozy room at the library to cuddle in and pile books

But she just ran out of space!

And Bela reaaaaally had her feathers ruffled when she attempted to pile her stuffed animals in her study

Why?, Daniela still doesn’t understand. It’s not like they’re doing anything!

With her sisters supporting her wish of a room for her stuffed animals- if only to have their rooms not infested with them- Daniela grins when Alcina grants her one near her room

Immediately, she wants to have shelves and cuddle corners everywhere for her stuffed animals

You eagerly support her, smiling as she, with a lot of care, places them everywhere with a toothy grin

She’s so happy, you can’t help but spoil her a little bit

And so, you indulge her

Daniela is head over heels when she is given minis, keychain sized squishmallows, as well as rare ones

A cat with a hat?! She must have it!

Alcina does put a stop to it once the room is full, much to Daniela’s dismay

Even her puppy eyes won’t do the trick!

Instead she is scolded by her mother! Daniela doesn’t mind. She knows the countess can never stay mad or disappointed with her for long

She’s her precious youngest, after all! A card you know Daniela loves to play

According to Alcina, she can only have as many as fit in the room

Naturally, Daniela attempts to hide some in her sisters’s rooms. With no luck, only glares and scoldings coming her way

You remember a particular day on which a very grumpy and moody Daniela returned to her room, three squishmallows she had attempted to hide in her arms, having just came back from a three hour scolding of Bela

As usual, her unhappiness doesn’t persist, though

Instead you find yourself tackled as she shows you her collection for what must’ve been the 24th time already

She’s frowning, however, upon noticing 4 are missing

Big, wide eyes stare at you. You almost smile at her adorably confused expression

Where’s her mini egg? The beautiful Easter one?

Where’s her tiny bat? With the pretty, golden eyes?

Where’s her frog?! She already named her Layla the Frog-Princess!

Where’s her avocado mini?

As she whines against your neck and you stroke her back, you become more aware of the avocado mini in your pocket

So what? You’re granted to have one too, and, just as expected, Daniela soon forgets about her missing squishmallows

And so, unbeknownst to everybody

Bela works with a tiny frog squishmallow staring at her as she edits the paperwork

Cassandra has a small bat she sleeps with and hides under her pillow

And Alcina fiddles with a tiny, far too small for her, egg until it sits perfectly on her drawer. A little decoration never hurt nobody

heres my stuffies! djungelskog, TY twilight sparkle, white bear, pink bunny, alpaca, gloomy bear, squishmallow dragon, monkey, sock monkey, flamingo, and jellycat frog with headphones.

My most expensive plush is actually the gloomy bear, which was 80 bucks. The djungelskog was free, a gift from my friend. my favourite at the moment is the brown monkey because its my partners! My partner also bought me the jellycat frog! I got the twilight at a thrift. the tag is in perfect condition so it mustve been from a collector possibly. Yes, the flamingo is youtuber merch. I really liked flamingo during 2020.

None of them have true names. I never been one to name my stuffies!

Baby Cas and his Owl

Uncle Sammy gives Little!Castiel a big stuffed owl and oh boy, it sparks something in Castiel. Dean is really in it now because these Shemllow things? Cas loves em

“Okay baby, time for uncle Sammy’s gift. Say thank you.” Dean smiled at his baby.

His birthday boy. It was Cas’s birthday and everyone had come around earlier when he was still being a big boy. Only a few people waited until after everyone else left so they could give the babe presents. Sam, Gabriel, Charlie, Uncle Noodle (Garth) and of course Papa Bobby.

Charlie got him a new white button up for Big Cas and a new bumble bee bath headband for little Cas. Papa got Cas a box of socks and a new blanket. Uncle Noodle got him some knick knacks and a few new movies. Gabriel got Cas a bath set and some pajamas because little Cas loves pajamas and wears his out frequently. Sam got him some baking pans and now this gift. This was the last gift before daddy’s. But daddy said he had to get his in private.

“Tank coo” Cas said as his daddy handed him a big box wrapped in yellow wrapping paper. Uncle Sammy was sitting next to Dean on Cas’s left. Cas clumsily tore away the paper to reveal a plain brown box. He popped the top off of it and reached inside.

He touched something very very soft and excitedly grabbed and pulled the kinda hefty object up and out.

Cas let out a big loud squeal at the sight! He pulled out a big blue squishy soft owl plush! Cas automatically pulled it close to him and hugged it.

“Woah Sam, where’d you find that?” Dean asked as he leaned over to his brother. Sam was smiling happily as he watched Cas look and pet and rub his face on the new plushy.

“Seen it online. They’re like really popular. Squishmallow or something like that. Good for sensory sensitive kids. Everyone loves em” Sam said to his brother who nodded. Dean would have to check it out.

Cas was currently cooing lightly and rubbing his face on the new toy. He just started really liking stuffed animals.

“Daddy! Daddy! Look at what Uncle got me! Owl! Owl!” Cas said lifting up the almost two foot tall toy to Dean.

“I see baby! You like it?” Dean said in his daddy voice which was just lighter and not as harsh.

“Love it! Thank you Uncle Sam! Thank you! Thank you!” Cas said and got up from his seat in the floor to run over and engulfed his uncle in a big hug. Sam hugged back and patted Cas’s back.

“You’re welcome, Little Man.” Sam said and Cas went back to his pile of gifts and gift wrapping trash smiling holding his new favorite thing.

Soon enough Dean learned that Cas really likes his owl. Cas called it Owl and Owl went everywhere with him. Everywhere.

Getting changed after an accident? Owl would sit on the changing table. Getting a bath? Owl sat on the floor next to the door as to not get wet. Eating a snack after coloring? Owl had its own plate and would usually get one of whatever Cas was eating (Cas would eat owls food too but he didn’t tell daddy that). When Cas was watching Tv or coloring or doing anything at all, Owl would sit next to him.

Big Cas even still liked the thing. “I like the color” Cas would claim as he carefully sat the toy on their bed at night or after he finished making the bed in the mornings.

Three months after Owl joined the family Cas got another gift. This one from Charlie. She walked into the basement of the Novak-Winchester residence holding a big brown box.

“Little Bumble, I got something for you!” She called out. Dean followed her down the stairs to where Cas and Owl was laying on his back in just a pull up and big yellow hoodie watching Total Drama Island. Cas perked up and sat up.

“Hi ‘arlie” Cas said behind his fingers which where almost permanently place in his mouth no matter how many pacifiers and teethers Dean bought.

“Hey come here I got you something.” Charlie sat down on the couch a little ways away from the TV.

Cas wobbly crawled over to her and sat on his butt in front of her on the floor. Dean stood in the door way watching.

“Here we go. Daddy over there already cut the tape so you can go ahead!” Charlie said looking over at Dean smiling. Cas got all wiggly excited and pulled at the box flaps. He gasped at what was inside.

“It like Owl! Cow! Cow!” Cas squealed and pulled the squishy cow plush to his chest he rolled over onto his back and stretched to grab Owl.

“Lookie Daddy! Owl hab friend!” Cas was squealing and rolling with joy holding the two plushies. Charlie was glowing.

“You like it, Bumble?” Charlie asked even though she knew the answer.

“Love it! Love it! Love it! Thank you thank you thank you!” Charlie was then smushed a bit by a quite large baby and his two favorite plushies.

“Hey baby you know Charlie can’t hold you like that.” Dean rushed over. Charlie wouldn’t say a word but Cas was too heavy.

Cas slipped off her lap and onto the couch beside her.

“Sorry” Cas said but didn’t quit smiling and holding his toys.

“I’m so happy you like it!” Charlie said to Cas while looking at Dean.

Now MooMoo sat with Owl. Everywhere. Cas would show everyone the two plushies whenever anyone came over.

Everyone knew Cas LOVED them. And Dean sensed soon the babe would have many more of these shmellow things.

Papa brought him a lion with a fuzzy mane.

Gabriel brought him a big fat pink cat.

Garth got him a green dinosaur with orange spikes down it’s back.

But Dean? Dean was the worst of all. He got Cas every single squashmallow he saw.

Soon Cas had his nursery filled up with the things. Small ones to play with and bigger ones he cuddles and big huge round ones that he uses as pillows all perfectly soft. When Cas was grumpy and fighting littlespace Dean would go to their bedroom and get Cas’s Owl. It never failed to put Cas into a floaty and happy headspace.

Cas ended up with well over thirty little animals. And when they brought home another baby named Jack... well Cas shared.

any recommendations for a stuffie? I need one that's huggable size but I'm a pretty big guy (think 6' 290lb) but I want a lil buddy

I'm gonna try my best to answer this question as someone who is 160 cm (5'2) and 50 kg (110lb)!

Generally, you're gonna wanna look for something a little bit smaller than your torso (neck to waist) for comfortable cuddles. Anything smaller than half your torso will likely feel uncomfortable to hug. As a guess, I'd say something that's 12 inches in length and about 5 inches in width would feel nice.

Here's a list of some plushies that might be good!

1. IKEA bigger plushies

Includes: GOSIG GOLDEN (70 cm), LIVLIG HUSKY (57 cm), SNUTTIG POLAR BEAR (60 cm)

These are slightly bigger, however, they are so so comfortable to hug and cuddle, genuinely underrated. They're pretty reasonably priced. However, they're quite thin, which might feel uncomfortable if you're bigger. The links I included are diverse but you can find them on any IKEA site.

2. Wild Republic Cuddlekins

Black Bear Stuffed Animal (12")

Raccoon Stuffed Animal (12")

Baby Polar Bear Stuffed Animal (12")

Generally, these kind of sitting bears are very huggable because you can put your arms under their front legs and it fits perfectly. Unsure how the sizing will do with you, as they might be too thin for you. However, they´re very soft and pleasant to hold, and not overstuffed, which is a common issue for realistic plushies.

3. Keel Toys Cuddles Apollo Tibetan Mastiff (35 cm)

The link I included is an Ebay listing, however you should be able to find this guy in a lot of places if you search by name. Similarly to the previous bear plush, the position makes it ideal for hugs. He's a little too tall for me to be comfortable, but that might just be right for you. He's also quite plump but not overstuffed which is really nice.

4. Happy Nappers Play Pillow: Dog

A niche one! This is a childhood plushie of mine. The stuffing has started to clot a little but I'm sure if you take good care of her, its fine. This is a a random site but if you look up the name, you should be able to find it. I recommend taking out the voice box for less annoyance with accidentally pressing the button...

5. Build-A-Bear

Now, this doesn't go for all build-a-bear plushies but some of them are quite huggable. The one sitting or the ones on all fours are generally the cuddliest. Here are a few recommendations, however feel free to go on the website and look around for any you'd like:
