Piper McLean — Hunter of Artemis?

(note: I drafted this a few days after The Burning Maze came out, and then forgot it for months, oOps, but here we go)

This is purely up to debate, and I can see this going either way, but... what’s the likelihood of Piper taking up Thalia’s offer from the Lost Hero and joining the Hunters of Artemis after Jason’s death?

On one hand, I can’t see it happening, and I’m not even sure I can explain why, except something along the lines of accepting that she’ll find love again (or eventually she’ll die and be reunited w/Jason). On the other hand, she just might accept, and again I can’t quite explain it. Piper’s super independent both mentally and physically, and there are traits of independence that can be found in both accepting and rejecting the offer. Of course, Piper’s in Oklahoma now, so maybe she won’t accept after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

[im still holding out for a happily ever after though — jason is magically alive, chiron does some misty magic, tristan is redeemed, piper and jason and tristan move back to LA, yay!]

Spoiler for burning maze

I just realized that since Jason died he won't be able to go to Percabeth's, Fazel's, Solangelo's, or any of their weddings and now i feel like crying. He wont be able to be Nico's best man 😢😢😢. I'm actually sobbing now. We won't get to see the funny moments of Jason saying a toast, or dancing with Piper. Why did I have to think of this 11:30 at night?

Tribute to Jason Grace

Jason Grace was someone I could always look up to. I could never express this of course, cause he's a fictional character, no one would take it seriously. He was thrown into situations and relationships. He was thrown into a group of people who thought they knew him, but those relationships were all built on false memories. He was taken from his family, then finally found another, SPQR, only to be taken from that one. He was a responsible and a great leader. Even though Jason and Percy were best friends, they were always being compared in one way or another. Jason had to live up to expectations set by the people around him, just because his father was Zeus. I could always relate to everything being thrown on me, like it was for Jason. I can relate to everything around me changing and it all seeming out of control. I feel like my friends have no idea who I REALLY am. I am always being compared to those in my family, and I am supposed to be this 'perfect' person, or at least follow in family member' footsteps. So here's to Jason Grace, a friend, a brother, a leader, a hero, and a role model. You will be remembered.

I know everyone is talking about how hard it will be for Thalia to hear that Jason died but what about Reyna? Jason was her friend for such a long time. Imagine Apollo telling her in the next book. Imagine her breaking down in tears when she’s alone. She was the one who knew him the longest and, lets face it, the most.

There was a string and box maze out in deep playa. Kenny and I joined these folks and spent a good amount of time walking, crawling, back tracking and retracking, no one cheated.
