THE 9 SATANIC SINS AND THEIR MEANINGS
STUPIDITY: the top of the list for Satanic Sins, the Cardinal Sin. It's too bad that stupidity isn't painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. One must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.
PRETENTIOUSNESS: empty posturing can be most irritating and isn't applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyone's made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.
SOLIPSISM: can be very dangerous. Projecting your reactions, responses, and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy, and respect that you naturally give them. They won't. Instead, one must strive to apply the dictum of "Do unto others as they do onto you." It's work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers , but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point.
SELF-DECEIT: It's in the "Nine Satanic Statements" but deserves to be repeated here. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expecting to play ourselves. The only self-deceit should be entered into is when it's fun, and with awareness. But then, it's not self-deceit!
HERD CONFORMITY: it's all right to conform to a person's wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonated entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many.
LACK OF PERSPECTIVE: again, this one can lead to a lot of pain. You must never lose sight of who and what you are, and what a threat you can be, by your very existence. We are making history right now, every day. Always keep the wider historical and social picture in mind. That is an important key to both Lesser and Greater Magic. See the patterns and fit things together as you want the pieces to fall into place. Do not be swayed by herd constraintsâknow that you are working on another level entirely from the rest of the world.
FORGETFULNESS OF PAST: be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality it's something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forgot the original. This makes for a disposable society.
COUNTERPRODUCTIVE PRIDE: that first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when you've painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, I'm sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it.
LACK OF AESTHETICS: this is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. It's not what's supposed to be pleasingâit's what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of one's own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.

The 9 Satanic Sins
1. StupidityâThe top of the list for Satanic Sins. The Cardinal Sin of Satanism. Itâs too bad that stupidity isnât painful. Ignorance is one thing, but our society thrives increasingly on stupidity. It depends on people going along with whatever they are told. The media promotes a cultivated stupidity as a posture that is not only acceptable but laudable. Satanists must learn to see through the tricks and cannot afford to be stupid.
2. PretentiousnessâEmpty posturing can be most irritating and isnât applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyoneâs made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.
3. SolipsismâCan be very dangerous for Satanists. Projecting your reactions, responses and sensibilities onto someone who is probably far less attuned than you are. It is the mistake of expecting people to give you the same consideration, courtesy and respect that you naturally give them. They wonât. Instead, Satanists must strive to apply the dictum of âDo unto others as they do unto you.â Itâs work for most of us and requires constant vigilance lest you slip into a comfortable illusion of everyone being like you. As has been said, certain utopias would be ideal in a nation of philosophers, but unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately, from a Machiavellian standpoint) we are far from that point.
4. Self-deceitâItâs in the âNine Satanic Statementsâ but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when itâs fun, and with awareness. But then, itâs not self-deceit!
5. Herd ConformityâThatâs obvious from a Satanic stance. Itâs all right to conform to a personâs wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many.
6. Lack of PerspectiveâAgain, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist.
7. Forgetfulness of Past OrthodoxiesâBe aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality itâs something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society.
8. Counterproductive PrideâThat first word is important. Pride is great up to the point you begin to throw out the baby with the bathwater. The rule of Satanism is: if it works for you, great. When it stops working for you, when youâve painted yourself into a corner and the only way out is to say, Iâm sorry, I made a mistake, I wish we could compromise somehow, then do it.
9. Lack of AestheticsâThis is the physical application of the Balance Factor. Aesthetics is important in Lesser Magic and should be cultivated. It is obvious that no one can collect any money off classical standards of beauty and form most of the time so they are discouraged in a consumer society, but an eye for beauty, for balance, is an essential Satanic tool and must be applied for greatest magical effectiveness. Itâs not whatâs supposed to be pleasingâitâs what is. Aesthetics is a personal thing, reflective of oneâs own nature, but there are universally pleasing and harmonious configurations that should not be denied.

thinking about how that book/story with the intersex girl protag (itâs the seanan mcguire one, across the green and something fields) has a pretty wikipedia-y conversation, but then it kinda pulls it off because literally the parents have been researching and practicing what to say from sources like wikipedia. but it is someimes really frustrating how much you have to /explain/ things to try to write for any kind of wider audience about people with ~lesser known identities~?
like, when i want to write lb&totmt, itâs very much about a group of friends in different places on the ace and aro spectrums but i just... really donât want to have them sit around explaining their identities and labeling everything. that feels really forced. but then thereâs like... risks of people not getting it, if anyone actually reads it, if itâs indirect. i feel like thematically it does potentially make sense for carmen to start off thinking a little too much about labels, since part of the thematic point is her getting comfortable with not knowing exactly where she falls and what the best label for herself is and what type of attraction her particular past relationship involved. but i want her to be able to go through that without explaining it to straight people, yâknow? like can she just talk about not feeling ace enough to be in her situation without establishing what that means?
the real answer is of course she can because i can always change it later and like it doesnât matter wtf she does when i havenât fucking written it anyway
(and then also, apart from the straight people thing, i feel like thereâs also the issue of characters who wouldnât really talk about labels or label themselves, but from a representation standpoint itâs maybe kind of shitty to never use the words? like especially if i have ace characters talk about being ace, if the aro character doesnât talk about being aro, that feels kinda shitty, but also i donât think he would, and maybe thatâs me getting too fixated on the real people characters are based on...)

Introduction to Semdaeism
Hello! I am the Semdaen arrikirri which makes me the head and founder of Semdaeism. In the past I have made several smaller introductions to Semdaeism but I feel they were too vague and didn't give a proper understanding of the religion. So I will use this time to make a much fuller and more detailed introduction to the faith while also making sure I answer some of the more asked questions, show how to be a Semdaen and dispel the misunderstandings around my faith.
Firstly, what is Semdaeism? The Semdaen religion is a polytheistic religion that takes an Omnic standpoint on the existence of the gods and believes that all of the gods exist at once, this isn't anything special amongst polytheistic faiths, however Semdaeism itself worships a different pantheon of deities named the 'Kono. The 'Kono are not gods, but rather people who had become godlike by the judgment of a creator deity named Pono, the crow. This is a important doctrine in Semdaeism and often leads to people thinking I am belittling the gods, this is not true as the gods are still considered extremely important, but ultimately subservient to the 'Kono and the king who we will get to later.
Now the 'Kono act a lot like gods, in short terms, due to the gods warring with themselves and with demons it plunged the world into chaos and the king of the gods Dyeus Phter had lost control. Then two creator deities came to the world and segregated the gods and installed the 'kono to police the world and keep it under control. They do eventually lose control and leave Earth for a while to come back later, through me. But that is not important. There are various 'Kono, they come from many backgrounds and areas in the world and have various temperaments and laws. These Laws are often on things such as drinking and eating along with social manners etc. Apart from the actual religious laws of the faith which are concrete, the laws from 'Kono are often varied and change on which 'kono is the Cultic (Patron/Matron) 'Kono. The Punishment for breaking these laws are often dealt with by the 'kono as well. I mentioned that there are Cultic 'Kono, the Semdaen religion has a system similar to the patron and matron gods and goddesses of other Polytheistic faiths. This being you have a wider Cultic 'Kono/s that you worship directly and a personnel 'Kono that acts as a guardian angel figure, this 'kono will act as your protector on day to day life and is separate from other guardian angel figures but works with them. The personnel 'kono was acting as your guardian from your birth and will continue to guard you all of your life. Cultic 'Kono represent themselves various animals and beasts, such as bears, boars etc. In artworks that have religious connotations, made by me, the animals are used to represent various 'Kono who are then used to represent various concepts such as life death, love and war. This is important because in the place of true idols for the 'Kono which show them as how they look you can instead use an animal statue in its place for Worship. The 'kono that are minor govern other many things such as the rocks, hills, trees and mountains. They exist too in the cycle of worship and reverence, especially high ranking minor 'Kono will inhabit various grand structures and as such deserve reverence the most. Therefore we have a system that is very similar to the Kami system in Shintoism.
The Next largest part of Semdaeism is the king, before I became the Arrikirri I got involved with the cult of king Arthur. I carry this belief into Semdaeism, the king is a central messianic figure in the faith, he is said to come back and turn the world into a golden age after he combines all the worlds religion into one religion. He has been declared king of the gods, of man, of the beasts and birds and even of the demons of the world, what does not bow shall bow to the king. He has servants, these servants are normally kings and generals that have achieved glory and fame and in some way had impressed the Lords and the gods in such a way that they had achieved enlightenment and went straight into the kings court, these people are normally not Semdaen themselves but of other religions and had unlocked Semdaen virtue, an example of a servant would Decebalus last king of Dacia. These servants are known by the name of Regs, they help kings and generals in certain situations but will also help the general public. They are like the Catholic Saints if you are still having trouble understanding.
The way to become a Semdaen is to simply prepare an Altar in the Semdaen way, which is simple but can be somewhat costly depending on the quality you want for your Altar. To create an Altar you need to first find a space for it, a bench is the best way to achieve this space. The next thing you need to do is get a larger clothe to cover the entire space, this clothe is called the Plarom. The next thing you need to do is add another much smaller and thinner clothe to put in the middle called the Klijo, it must be wide enough to fit a few statues in and long enough to go across the entire space. On the Klijo you need to place three items, an Idol of your Cultic 'Kono, an Idol of the king and an Idol of your Personnel 'Kono. The next Item you need to place is in front of the clothe and needs to be the Srwos which is a candle holder in the shape of a peacock meant to represent Melek Tawes, the defender of humanity. The Ancestors Skull or the Strutjos is next, placed to the right of the Srwos which should be on the far left. On the far right should be the Donom which is the Libations bowl Finally inbetween the Strutjos and the Srows is the Asis which is a offering urn for things like paper prayer. Behind the klijo you can place the images of other gods for worship. Finally one of the most important parts is the Asajos or Altar sword, this is almost always a real sword, however if there is any reason you legally or financially cannot own sword there are alternatives such as Paper swords or less dangerous training swords.
There are several sacred things into Semdaeism, the numbers eight and four, blood, foxes and Kashmiri cypresses are all considered sacred things. The 'kono of sacred thing and blood, Vestpus represents himself as foxes. Along with that there are the two temples, the Domos and the Yageh. The Domos is considered the most important out of the two, they are made to look like hills or mountains and they contain eight kinds of rooms. The main hall, the sacred well, the room for the Native god, a room for sword smithing, a main worshipping room which has a oven for baking offerings, a tomb or sacred grave for the priests that double as a ancestor worship room and finally a room for some more minor cultic practises. Along with this stands a idol modeled after the Shigir idol which represents the 'kono of the temple and a protector and a Menhir which details certain events that take place during the construction. There is also Kashmiri Cypresses on the top as the top of the complex is covered in dirt and it is surrounded by native fruit trees and other native plants you can eat, these will be farmed in times of emergency. Domos should be sanctified with first a blood offering and some minor rituals, if the Domos is in a larger area as it should be then a game of Polo should take place to properly make it sacred in the eyes of Vestpus. The other structure is the Yageh, which is the main home for the native god, the native god or the gnos if you wish, is a idol of a god that is native to the region Like Zeus or Heracles for Greece and is made in the native art style. He gets two holidays, the day of the gods where he is taken from the Domos to the Yageh representing him being apart from the 'kono but still worshipped The parade is a four hour trip and then the peach parade where he is taken back to the Domos Representing princess Hurkino joining the 'kono as their princess after being abandoned by her fellow gods The Yagehs are built in the style of the native architecture either in the shape of houses or in the shape of granary representing the god is there for their people. Another factor of Semdaeism is that there are the seven heavenly isles where either an important religious event happened or they have a section of Semdaeism within their religion. these isles are as follows, Britian, Japan, the Carribian, Malta, New Zealand and the Canary isles. These I hope will have some of the first Domos and Yagehs.
The next thing I would like to talk about is enlightenment, the Semdaen enlightenment comes in two forms, Bhilis, the right handed enlightenment and the Pavillion Leaf Path, the left handed enlightenment which leads to a form of immortality but is widely hidden or unknown, Clergy and Successor Arrikirris do not take this path but instead take a form of enlightenment reserved for clergy called Itrdae which is a special form of the Leuk path when the clergy devotes themselves to the lords and the king. Bhilis is a very long process and revolves heavily around the concept of the cycle and reincarnation, the result of this is that you must achieve eight forms of lesser enlightenment through each of the eight heavenly laws which I will go over. In each eight you must achieve the lesser enlightenment or Gnowa. the laws go as follow:
Nos, the law of North America, that one must be of their community, know and speak the native language and the popular language, move in the ways of the native culture and the popular culture and bow and pray to the Native, Semdaen and popular gods, unless it is the Yahweh of Abraham.
Mer, the law of Ocenia, that one must understand that all things live through the cycle that is birth, life, sacrifice (Literal and figurative), death and rebirth and that even the animals, to live through this cycle and that slaughter is their sacrifice to us, that man does not harm or act inappropriately to the animal even during slaughter and even after death.
Deh, the law of Africa, that one must realise that the Lystche ancestor spirits watch over their families and their lands and that they are forever listening to our every word and our every action, that no matter what we must be respectful of the dead and not speak ill of them nor insult them with our actions.
Leuk, the law of India, that one must understand that the gods are ever present and ever helpful beings but they are still gods, they are the highers and we are the lowers. We are of not right or will to insult our heavenly lords with images of them as cartoons nor slander their name of deeds with such casualty.
Webh, the law of Asia, that one must understand that above all else, the lords be they gods, demons or 'kono are beloved of those things which are creative above all else, be it art, writing, music or answering the simple question.
Heug, the law of South America, that one must be virtous above all else, even without acting in gnowa. The lords are watching constantly and so to do good deeds and to act in all the manners and be kind is above all else when they watch.
Gwhen, the law of Europe, that one most be aware of the Asajos as one must be aware of the king as a warlord, this world is a violent one for that is a form of the cycle ever since peace came into being and that to obtain virtous too is to obtain skill in the sword and skill in the hand.
Wied, the law of Antartica, that one must be knowledgeable for the ultimate sin is ignorance, that you must live in the great and constant state of learning and knowledge, you must be a scholar above all others and your simple breathe contains more information then even the great libraries. It should be noted that these laws are not really true laws in the sense that you can break them easily, with exception such as Leuk and Deh but rather the eight most important guidelines and eight different ways of reaching enlightenment. I do not decide whether you reach this enlightenment nor are they levelled against each other but rather equal to one and another. After achieving gnowa eight different times (Normally taking eight or more different lives to complete) you become what is known as a Mereg who is an enlightened king or general where upon death you will become a god and begin to serve the king in his court, for only those that are great can serve that which is the greatest.
A confusing part of Semdaeism seems to be the Arrikirris, as some people confuse me to be the only Arrikirri, that is not true. I am the Arrikirri of the four pointed star which makes me the first of my fellow Arrikirris of the heaven of the four pointed star. There they wait in line to incarnate, my job is simply to found the religion and set up some early organisation in the faith. Each Arrikirri will atleast write eight books to add to the holy text before their death. Arrikirris do not have an extreme authority over a Semdaen, it would be good to tell one you're becoming Semdaen so that they can help you and get an idea of numbers in the faith and demographics but it is not needed. Additionally any issue you have with clergy can be brought up to a Semdaen Arrikirri and he will try to mitigate the issue, Semdaeism also relies on UPG and Arrikirris, especially me, will try to check up on you to see how everything is going with your faith and learn more from what you have learnt while worshipping. There is also no ill will towards anyone that leaves, I might get upset, sad or angry for a bit but I will not hold a grudge against anyone that leaves and I hope all other Semdaens will be this kind.
In Semdaeism there is two calendars, the sixteen heavenly days calendar Noichos for the sixteen holidays of Semdaeism and the Zodiac calendar Alkis these two calendars are important, I'm not going to show them in this post but maybe another post because then it will be far too long. Now the Zodiacs in Semdaeism function as a form of totemism, as the lesser Zodiac, the animal Zodiac has an animal for each of the twelve months. Depending on which month you are born you have a different animal, these animals represent the Xenematres who are the lords of the months and if you see your totemic animal it means goodluck. You must also deny the meat of this animal. The greater zodiac is about worship, the greater zodiac creatures are often beasts and coincide with the year you were born in. These beasts are often used to represent your personnel 'kono and they are placed on the Altar right next to your Cultic 'Kono.
I will leave some of the more frequently asked questions below:
Does the religion have a central text Yes, if you ask I will send you what I currently have (The text is unfinished)
How old is the religion/how many followers do I have/ how old am I Not very old, not that many followers
Is Homosexuality a sin No, unless you're a king or queen, then adopt a child before you ascend to the throne
Is Abortion allowed Yes, if the child is born from rape, it isn't a plan B
That is all for now, I will update the questions and the post in general and resend it if I have anything else to add or any more commonly asked questions pop up. I would like to be able to work with the community so I can better express myself amongst you so that I don't seem so dangerous to some. I will be looking forward to talking with you and thankyou for reading.

Addicted to Real Estate - Why I Can't Stop and Why You Should Start

So how does any all-money-down technique work by purchasing a home with dollars? First of all, let me repeat that I really didn't have any specific cash, but I had a significant amount of equity from Terry's home and several homes that I owned put together to give my family a substantial cash down payment. Banks and mortgage companies equally will accept money from a home-equity line of credit as cash purchasing a home. At least they did in 1997 under the personal guidelines of the day. What you must remember about home loans and lending is that the guidelines change constantly, so this technique I used in 1997 may or may not be qualified to be used in the future. Whether it is or isn't able to be used once more doesn't really matter to me as I believe that there will always be a way to buy real estate with limited money down gradually. There will always be a technique to acquire real estate but exactly how which is to be done in the future I'm not completely sure. I developed purchasing homes in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia with the rates in the $30, 000 to $40, 000 per place price range. I would purchase a home with three bedrooms and the other bathroom on the second floor with a kitchen, dining room, and also living room on the first floor and a basement. What we label a row home in Philadelphia would consist of a fabulous porch out front and a backyard the width of the property. Most row homes in Philadelphia are less than twenty-two feet wide. For those of you who are not from Philadelphia plus can't picture what a Philadelphia row home looks like, It's best to watch the movie Rocky. Twenty-two homes on each one side of every block will really test your capacity to be a neighbor. Things that will usually cause an argument with your Philadelphia neighbors often stem from parking, noise your children produce, where you leave your trash cans, parties, and then the appearance of your home. In 1998 my girlfriend and I actually moved in together and to the suburbs of Philadelphia called Warminster. After living on a street in Tacony, much like Rocky did, I really looked forward to having place between my home and my next-door neighbor. Document told Terry not to even think about talking with the individuals lived next door to us. I told her if one too comes over with a fruitcake I am going to take it and punt it like a football right into their backyard. I believe That i was suffering from Philadelphia row home syndrome. My fresh neighbors in Warminster turned out to be wonderful people, but it got me eighteen months before I was willing to learn about that. So you just bought your row home just for $35, 000 in Mayfair, and after $2000 sum it up costs and $5000 in repair costs, you find yourself a good quality tenant who wants to rent the home. After renting the home along with a positive cash flow of $200 a month, you now have an remarkable debt of $42, 000 on your home equity loan that will have to be paid off. When purchasing the home, I did not even get a mortgage as I just purchased a home for hard cash as it is said in the business. All monies I invested on this house were spent from the home-equity line of credit. Typically the move now is to pay off your home-equity line of credit so you can turn do it again. We now go to a bank with your fixed-up property as well as tell the mortgage department that you want to do a cash-out refinancing of your real estate investment. It helps to explain that the neighborhood you purchase your property in should have a wider range of pricing because neighborhood of Mayfair did in the mid-90s. The discounts of homes in Mayfair is quite unusual as you would certainly see a $3000 difference in home values from one discourage to the next. This was important when doing a cash-out refinancing for the reason that it's pretty easy for the bank to see that I just purchased my property for $35, 000 regardless of the fact that I did many repairs. I could justify the fact that I've spent a higher cost on my home to fix it up, and by simply putting a tenant in, it was now a worthwhile piece of real estate from an investment standpoint. If I was basically lucky like I was many times over doing this technique of purchasing homes in Mayfair and the appraiser would utilize homes a block or two away and come home with an appraisal of $45, 000. Back then there were services allowing an investor to purchase a home for 10 percent downward or left in as equity doing a 90 percentage point cash out refinance giving me back roughly $40, 500. Utilizing this technique allowed me to get back many of the money I put down on the property. I basically paid out just $1, 500 down for this new home. The reason did the mortgage companies and the appraisers keep presenting me the numbers I wanted? I assume because they wanted the work. I would only tell the bank I need this to come on at $45, 000 or I am just keeping the software financed as is. They always seemed to give me personally what I wanted within reason. This whole process had three to four months during which time I may have saved a handful of thousand dollars. Between the money I saved from your job and my investments and cash out re-financing, I had replenished most or all of my funds as a result of my home-equity line of credit that was now almost back to actually zero to begin the process again. And that is exactly what I intended to achieve. I used this system to purchase four to six homes a year employing the same money to purchase home after home after home frequently. In reality, the technique is a no-money down or bit money down technique. At the time maybe I had $60, 000 in available funds to use to buy homes off of a HELOC, so I would buy a home and then replenish the income. It was a terrific technique that was legal, and I could notice my dream of being a real estate investor full-time coming to a strong eventual reality even though I wasn't there yet. Within years from 1995 to 2002, the real estate current market in Philadelphia made gradual increases of maybe 6 percent as each year went on. I began to track our net worth that was 100 percent equity, meaning I had basically no other forms of investments to look at when calculating my netting worth. Generally speaking, the first five years of my properties career did not go well because of the bad decisions I just made purchasing buildings and the decline in the market. Furthermore, my personal lack of knowledge and experience in repairs made it an important rough. The second five years of my real estate work that I just finished explaining didn't make much dollars either. I supported myself primarily through my professional as a salesman, but I could definitely see the writing within the wall that down the road real estate was going to be my full-time gig. Realty Professionals of America I own the office building that has a real estate company as a tenant called Realty Professionals of America. The company has a terrific plan certainly where an new agent receives 75 percent of the commission as well as broker gets only 25 percent. If you don't know it, this is usually a pretty good deal, especially for a new real estate agent. The company also offers the 5 percent sponsorship fee to the agent who sponsors them on every deal they do. If you produce an individual who is a realtor in to the company that you have sponsored, the particular broker will pay you a 5 percent sponsorship out of the broker's end so that the new realtor you sponsored can however earn 75 percent commissions. In addition to the above, Realty Individuals of America offers to increase the realtor's commission through 5 percent after achieving cumulative commission benchmarks, up to a maximum of 90 percent. Once a commission standard is reached, an agent's commission rate is only smaller if commissions in the following year do not reach a lesser baseline amount. I currently keep 85 percent of most my deals' commissions; plus I receive sponsorship cheques of 5 percent from the commissions that the agents My spouse and i sponsored earn. If you'd like to learn more about being sponsored into Real estate Professionals of America's wonderful plan, please call others directly at 267-988-2000. Getting My Real Estate License The things that I did in the summer of 2005 after leaving behind my full-time job was to make plans to get great real estate license. Getting my real estate license was a thing I always wanted to do but never seemed to have the moments to do it. I'm sure you've heard that excuse a thousand conditions. People always say that they're going to do something soon like they find the time to do it, but they never seem to find the occasion, do they? I try not to let myself make excuses for anything. So I've made up my mind prior to I ever left my full-time job that one of your first things I would do was to get my realty license. I enrolled in a school called the American Real Estate Institute for a two-week full-time program to obtain my best license to sell real estate in the state of Pennsylvania. Couple of terrific guys with a world of experience taught typically the class, and I enjoyed the time I spent right now there. Immediately after completing the course at the American Real Estate Initiate, I booked the next available day offered by the state to try the state exam. My teachers' advice to take the test immediately after the class turned out to be an excellent suggestion. I handed down the exam with flying colors and have used the license many times since to buy real estate and reduce the prices. If you are going to be a full-time real estate investor or a business oriented real estate investor, then you almost have to get a license. Even while I know a few people who don't believe this, I'm convinced oahu is the only way. I worked on one deal at $3 million where the commission to the buyer's real estate agent was $75, 000. By the time my broker took a reveal, I walked with $63, 000 commission on who deal alone. With the average cost per year of being an agent running about $1200 per year, this one deal alone would have paid for my real estate license for fifty-three years. Including all the other fringe benefits like having access to the multiple listing service proposed too many realtors in this country. While there are other ways so you can get access to the multiple listing services or another plan similar to it, a real estate license is a great way to go. A few of the negatives I hear over and over again about having your real estate permit is the fact that you have to disclose that you are realtor when the purchase of a home if you're representing yourself. Maybe I'm missing one thing, but I don't see this as a negative in the slightest. If you're skilled in the art of negotiation, it's just another hurdle that you have to deal with. I suppose you could end up in a lawsuit the place where a court of law could assume because you are real estate agent you should know all these things. I don't spend my life having to worry about the million ways I can be sued any more compared with I worry about getting hit by a car every time When i cross the street. Maybe people love the girls in rwby more because thats what attracted the audience? Like rwby is a show that has powerful female leads that dont exist to be there just for a guy, theyre independent and good on their own, thats what attracted most people, cause its so rare to see, and theyre afraid that it will go on another route and focus on the guys (like Jaune) when we already have hundreads of shows with powerful male leads but like just a few with well written female leads
Hey, sorry for not getting to this right away - college started kicking my butt, and I wanted to actually sit and think about how to respond to this one.
Iâm assuming that this is in response to what I said here, about noticing that people favor the female characters over the male. I also said that I really did not want to go poking at the fire ant hill, but you seem polite, so I feel itâs only fair that I give you a proper answer.
DISCLAIMER: These are my opinions. This is my personal response to the points you bring. I might be wrong. Thatâs fine. All I ask is that if you wish to continue this discussion, please be polite.Â
I see absolutely nothing wrong with preferring the female characters. This is a show with an almost entirely female main cast, and thatâs wonderful considering how rarely you see that outside of Barbie movies and magical girl type shows, and even more rarely do you see that in an action show. I also appreciate that they arenât sidekicks, or characters created off a male hero *cough cough Superfriendâs Hawkgirl cough cough*. Iâm not saying that I think people shouldnât like the girls more. Itâs only natural to do so since they are the main characters. They are the characters that are given the most focus, so you naturally grow more attached to them then, say, Team SSSN, who weâve only seen in its entirety, like, twice.
However, what does get on my nerves is when the love for these characters and/or the infatuation of the idea of an all-female cast leads to the demonization of male characters over issues that are arguably not issues.
Iâm going to use Jaune as my illustrating point, since he seems to be the most glaring example of what Iâm talking about. You have brought up that people seem to be afraid that heâs going to steal the spotlight - become the hero of the story and push Team RWBY into the background. However, there is just absolutely no evidence for this happening, especially in the last two volumes. In Volume 1, where we got four episodes about him in a 16 episode volume, this would be a valid concern. Since then, however, Jaune has been given less and less screen-time, showing that the writers are aware of the audienceâs response to giving Jaune a fourth of a very short first volume and are doing their best not to stumble into that pitfall again. Outside of that, Jaune himself is an indicator that he is never going to have the spotlight in that manner again.
Jauneâs entire character is about realizing that he is not the hero. In any other anime/TV show/movie, the plucky inexperienced underdog would sneak into a prestigious school and suddenly find that they are somehow a natural and just as good or better than the people that have years of training. This did not happen with Jaune. He struggled. He was weak. He demonstrated that he very clearly does not belong among the elite. He had to go to Pyrrha and learn from her how to even start to begin to be able to fight off even one Ursa. And while he grows over the first 3 volumes, he never even comes close to the level of his classmates. He can hold his own for a few seconds against a rival school, but thatâs about it. Very often, Jaune acts as the damsel in distress for Pyrrha or someone else to save. In Pyrrha and Jauneâs relationship, Pyrrha was very much the hero.
After Pyrrha died, Jaune did not suddenly take up her mantle and become the hero. He hung back from the opening fight of V4, staying out of the way of the people that actually knew what they were doing and helping the only way he could - by trying to strategize based on his wider perspective on the fight. He was not the hero. When he gained his semblance in V5, it was not some ultra-powerful shonen-style OP attack that turned Cinder to dust. It was healing, aura-boosting, which let Weiss rejoin the fight and kick butt herself. As any RPG player knows, this ability makes Jaune a support character, not a fighter. AKA, not a hero.
Jauneâs arc so far has been about learning that he is never going to be the kind of hero he wanted to be. His role is to be the support of the others, to be their stepping stone. Like he himself says, âIf I die buying them time, then itâs worth it. Theyâre the ones that matter.â Jaune is never going to be the hero. He is never going to be the one to triumph. His role is to support, to help the people that matter get to where they need to be for them to win.
This, for me, is clear to see and makes sense. However, over and over and over again, I see people ripping apart his character as someone that acts like the knight in shining armor - that swooped in to save the day by healing Weiss, and to me, these criticisms just feel unwarranted when the payoff to Jauneâs semblance is learning that he is never going to be that knight in shining armor. From a narrative standpoint, this is as clear an indication as we are ever going to get that Jaune is never going to be a hero. He will be an extremely important side character, but RWBY will never be about him. The story line and his character have never given any indication that it could ever possibly be.
Tl;dr, there is no evidence that RWBY is suddenly going to deviate from Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang to focus on Jaune. Jauneâs entire character is meant to be a supporting one. This isnât to say he doesnât have his own arc, but in the end, heâs just going to be helping RWBY and Ozcar and Co. with their stories.Â
His character and the FNDMâs response to him is a perfect illustration of my opinion on the matter. Jauneâs character, at this point in time, shows absolutely no signs of suddenly taking the spotlight away from Team RWBY, yet the FNDM likes to twist scenes and evidence to make his character something itâs not so they can complain about him being a bad character. He is not a bad character. He is a well-written character in my opinion.Â
The reason people are so desperate to twist him into a character he is not is because he is, in fact, male. Not because he is a poorly written character, not because he takes time away from developing the main cast, but because he is male. If Jaune were the exact same character but female, we would most likely not be having this discussion. It is because Jaune is a male character that people twist him into being this horrific character, and that is not right.Â
You see this assassination of character with Sun and Ozpin (to a lesser extent), too. If I didnât watch the show and went off the fandom, I would think that Sun was just some ignorant stalker that Blake despises. This is not true. If I didnât watch the show, I would probably think Ozpin was this Machiavellian schemer that threw children into a war that he couldnât be bothered to end himself. This is not true.
TL;DR2:What I dislike is not people loving the female characters over the male. What I dislike is people hating male characters, not because they are actually bad characters, but because they have been twisted by fandom interpretation to look like bad characters solely because they are male characters, because for some reason I am unable to comprehend, this fandom seems so threatened at the idea of developed male characters that they twist them into entirely different characters so that they feel justified in their hatred of said male characters.Â
Iâm not sure how comprehensible this is. Itâs starting to get late on my end, so if my logic just falls apart somewhere in here, I apologize. Once again, this is solely my opinion on the issue. You can have your own thoughts, and those are completely valid. I would be completely open to continuing this discussion with you (or anyone else who wants to jump in).
Thank you for your time, and have a good evening.

I didn't have a tumblr account in 2013, so I have no idea how the fuck a 53-year-old Sci fi show became part of something as cringe as "superwholock". I mean, I watch Sherlock but damn this match makes no sense. Could you explain to me how it happened please???
Honestly? I donât know exactly.
I was never really a part of SuperWhoLock, and I donât think I was on here for the origins either, but whenever it was that I did get on here, I was just a passionate Whovian who also watched and liked Sherlock (these days Iâm pretty indifferent about Sherlock one way or another, and give as few shits about Supernatural as I ever did). Â
BUT, Iâm gonna see if I can try and work out/theorise how SuperWhoLock rose and fell, if only to try and make the point that Doctor Who never deserved to be lumped in with it. Feel free to challenge any points I make, because Iâm guessing here.Â
although, frankly, this idea of cringe culture is kinda snobby and gross. let people like shit, damn, if theyâre not hurting anyone or trying to say Supernatural is the best show ever, who gives a fuck, honestly
Firstly, the thing about Doctor Who is that it has been around for literal multiple decades. Almost fifty four years. It has been around since before some of our parents were born.Â
Doctor Who fans were around long before the internet was invented. They were here before, and will be here long after everyone has forgotten what the hell Supernatural ever was. Doctor Who fans are now the ones making Doctor Who. They were the ones who, when it got cancelled, created an entire thriving Audio Drama business through the love of it that still existed everywhere, and they are the ones who brought it back and now create it. Theyâve never let it die.Â
You know why? Why Doctor Whoâs endured, and is so passionately loved by so many, and before all this mess wasnât any more cringy than being into Star Trek? Because itâs good.Â
It is a flawed show, of course (always, somehow, in some way, in ways that vary across different eras), but one that is good in a reckless, nonsensical, optimistic way. No matter the ups and downs of its objective quality, itâs never really lost its heart.Â
It is a show with a protagonist that uses words/intelligence/compassion over violence to fight, a show that focuses on telling hopeful adventures that can be watched by children and also inform them of some of the harsher aspects of the world in an interesting way.
Also, itâs always been quite progressive. It had the first female drama producer at the BBC, and a gay Indian director. No one wanted it to succeed and itâs a miracle the show ever got off the ground.Â
People like to talk about the âscreaming Classic companionsâ but you know what? Fuck that. The Classic ladies were all wonderful, including the biggest screamers. Susan? The Doctorâs granddaughter, genius, with telepathic abilities and a whole lot of heart. Mel? Computer programmer aka fucking smarty pants, who once flipped the Doctor over her shoulder, and was such a genuinely nice person that it was genuinely impressive. Zoe? Adorable 60âČs companion who canonically had a higher IQ than the Doctor.Â
Doctor Who ladies have been awesome since the beginning, and calling out misogyny from the beginning.Â
(It ALSO had errors of its time, especially an Orientalism issue that is pervasive through a lot of older sci-fi, that canât and shouldnât be forgotten either. But thatâs for the most part irrelevant to this discussion other than the general whiteness which is still obviously a problem albeit one the show is slowly working on.)
The reboot then brought in (some, not enough) queer characters and main characters of colour, etc, and its general diversity has only been getting better and better on that front for the most part, especially in the last couple of years.Â
But anyway, how the hell did it get mixed up with the whole SuperWhoLock mess?Â
Well, the reboot brought in a whole new generation of fans, and only got bigger and bigger and bigger, and was peaking RIGHT about when Sherlock aired.Â
The Doctor Who and Sherlock crossover is easy enough to work out; they had the same headwriter(s), and theyâre both about neurodivergent (coded??) genius white guys that theoretically have a kind of unconventional attractiveness to them. You can see how they drew in the same crowd.Â
Now, how the hell Supernatural became a part of that, Iâve no idea. Iâve never been a Supernatural fan (even if I did watch the first four and a half seasons once, more or less enjoy them, but also not find them massively interesting).Â
But Iâm going to assume itâs because it again involved white guys with Big Emotions, that the fans could thirst over, who were undertaking some larger than life shit.Â
My theory is that it, at least partly, was the White Male Slash Fandom.Â
You know. That group of mostly straight girls who treat shipping conventionally attractive white men like a fetish and a kink to explore, who will ship basically any two CAWM under the sun if they so much as look at each other. I imagine the Johnlock crowd overlapped with the Destiel and Wincest crowd, and Doctor Who, since it had Ten/Simm!Master (and Eleven/Rory to a lesser extent) as well as some nice hetero ships, kind of got dragged along because almost everyone in the Sherlock fandom was probably in the Doctor Who fandom too.Â
You can kind of see how it fits. The Supernatural gang and the Team TARDIS are big damn heroes with a lot of heart, while Sherlock fulfilled the ideal levels of pretentiousness that we all go through in our teenage years.Â
Of course, then everyone realised that Supernatural kinda sucks because itâs an incredibly white, incredibly male, incredibly STRAIGHT show that just queerbaits its audience and doesnât know when to call it quits, and so everyone started jumping ship.Â
Then everyone looked at Sherlock, either went âthis has its issues but itâs still funâ, âthis is QUEERBAITING TOO, WHY WONT JOHNLOCK KISS, FUCK MOFFISSâ, or âthis is also incredibly white, incredibly male, and incredibly straight, so fuck this alsoâ, and that was it for Sherlock and general opinion too.Â
(For the record: Johnlock was not queerbait. Johnlock was an expression of Steven Moffatâs own very intimate, but platonic, friendship with Mark Gatiss, and they explicitly told everyone they were not gonna make it gay. And then the toxic ass fandom, deluded out their minds, started sending Gatiss - an actual gay man - abuse about being âan honorary straightâ for not making their fetishised fictional relationship canon, at one point literally the day after the Pulse massacre. Seriously. What the fuck. Never speak about it being queerbaiting ever again and leave Mark Gatiss the fuck alone.)Â
Now. Doctor Who had meanwhile been dealing with the changeover of the showrunner.Â
Series 5 went down pretty well for the most part, but a lot of people had their issues with Series 6 and Series 7. The fandom had kind of gotten too big, for a show this unconventional. To the point of a lot of people not being able to deal with the distinct change from the style of Russell T Davies, because they werenât really aware of how the show needs to reinvent itself constantly even on a stylistic level. Because they were treating the show like any other show, when one canât really do that.Â
It was all kind of a mess of:
very mixed fan reception on Series 6
Series 7 being on the weaker side (not as weak as some people who missed the whole point of Claraâs storyline make it out to be, but weak nonetheless, though Moffat has admitted to this and explained it was because he was under so much pressure about the looming 50th anniversary, and like, fuck, fair enough)
people being pissed at Moffat for Sherlock shit
Russell T Davies having done quite a few things in his era that are questionable from a wider Doctor Who standpoint, which Moffat as the Ultimate Who Fan didnât go along with, only to then receive hate from people who were convinced that if RTD did something it must be right, because they havenât seen Classic Who or apparently bothered to do a couple of google searches to educate themselves
plus, a few of Moffatâs quotes around 2012ish got taken out of context because heâs a sarcastic little shit who runs his mouth
and so people got the idea that Moffatâs a narcissistic misogynist who âloves white menâ
also people confused âplot holeâ with âis going to be explained laterâ and complained about him having plot holes in series 5-7 when really itâs just that he was waiting to tie up all the loose ends in Matt Smithâs finale episode
Anyway, thus began the popular - to this day! - sentiment of thinking that Moffat is one of the worst things to happen to television, or at least Doctor Who (and Sherlock Holmes).Â
And so, that was the âdownfallâ of Doctor Who and SuperWhoLock, so to speak, as all three shows were written off by the wider Tumblr/nerd community as being incredibly cringy.Â
Now, to examine it from todayâs view, in light of recent series/opinion about the series/the female Doctor reveal.Â
The problem is, the general attitude about Moffat - who donât get me wrong, is far from a flawless writer, or person - has literally reached the point of mass delusion. Itâs very clear that literally thousands of people have a completely fictionalised version of him in their heads.Â
How do I know this? I saw someone say that a female Doctor was a âdefiance of everything the Moffat era stood forâ.Â
As in, the same Moffat era that, in the last three seasons:
explicitly made the genderfluidity of Time Lords canon (Dark Water/Death In Heaven, World Enough And Time)
changed the Master into a woman (Dark Water)
had the now female Master refer to becoming a woman as an âupgradeâ (The Witchâs Familiar)
had a companionâs whole storyline be about âbecoming the Doctorâ in her own right, with her getting a whole episode of her pretending to be the Doctor, and her flying off in her own TARDIS with a companion of her own in the end of her final episode! (Flatline, Hell Bent)
had ANOTHER companionâs storyline end with her immortal space girlfriend at the console of the TARDIS, offering for her to travel through all of time and space with her in a direct parallel to the Nine/Rose offer from the first episode to the reboot (The Doctor Falls, Rose)
had a Time Lord regenerate from a white guy to a black lady onscreen just to FINALLY shut up people who said race/gender changes couldnât happen (Hell Bent)
had the Doctor positively reacting to the suggestion that he could be  - or had been - a woman, multiple times (Death In Heaven, World Enough And Time, The Doctor Falls)
Moffatâs era has been statistically proven to have shifted public opinion in favour of a female Doctor (ask @scriptscribbles, if you want proof), thanks to the above.Â
Simm!Master: âShe? Is the future going to be all girl?âÂ
Twelve: âWe can only hope.âÂ
Also, Moffat wrote Lumley!Doctor in The Curse of Fatal Death in 1999. Heâs been pushing for a female Doctor for 18 damn years.Â
So, the idea that anyone thinks heâs against it, as opposed to having explicitly worked to help make it happen for years, shows that the general opinion of him is literally a mass fictionalisation/delusion.Â
(Itâs just one example, but there are hundreds of others, like how everyone seems to think he thinks of himself as The Greatest Ever and having a huge ego, when heâs literally one of the most self-deprecating people ever, if you watch him in an interview. Heâs openly admitted to mistakes heâs made on his time on the show, such as the way he handled the scene at the end of Flesh and Stone, and how Series 7 wasnât his best because of the pressure he was under about the upcoming 50th anniversary; he is aware of his fallibility.)Â
Heâs not a perfect person, or writer, and no one knows that better than him. Thereâs a lot of critical discussions we could have about his writing, and there are a fair few actual problems with it, just as there are in the RTD era, and every damn era of Who that has existed. Iâm not saying everybody has to like it, because every era of Doctor Who is down to personal preference, and thatâs fine. There are plenty of rational, well-informed people, fans and otherwise, who have their -often sound - reasons for not liking Moffat and/or his era of Who in general. I am friends with some of them.Â
But those rational, well-informed people are like, 5% of the people who otherwise make up a sea of loud, ignorant delusion that condemns Doctor Who under Moffatâs direction and downright refuses to acknowledge some of the amazing stuff itâs done in the last few years.Â
(Like, Series 10 featured a black lesbian co-lead who got a happy ending, leaving the Moffat era finishing strong on six canonically sapphic women, four of whom are still alive, none of whom died pointlessly or without agency, and three of whom are immortal or close enough, in a time when all other TV sapphics are dropping dead like flies. It also had the Doctor punch a racist in the face and comment on how history is whitewashed, and had an episode slamming capitalism. Plus, the finale canonised that Time Lords donât view gender the same way, reinforcing canon genderfluid Time Lords.) Â
Between his second and third seasons of DW being divisive and/or a bit weak, all the Sherlock shit going down, and the fall of Supernatural, and the issue of people taking RTD Who as the baseline for everything Doctor Who when they really shouldnât have, anti-Moffat sentiments got so big that masses of people fell off the show, and continue to refuse to acknowledge that he might have done anything worthwhile with it since they left. That he might, as a person, have developed and improved.Â
And so, that is potentially how Doctor Who got lumped in with SuperWhoLock, labelled ânot progressiveâ, and considered âcringyâ to this day.Â
Or at least, thatâs my theory, as someone who wasnât really paying a lot of attention, but knows her Doctor Who.Â
#doctor who#steven moffat#fandom theory#dw fandom#fan theory#i say shit#fuck this became an ESSAY#my god#I might be totally off base here but these are my Thoughts#anon asks#I spent HOURS on this god#i edited it more than I've edited essays for uni lmao

Vertical Milling Machine Market Analysis By COVID-19 Impact 2020-2027
Vertical Milling Machine â Introduction
A vertical milling machine is a precision tool, which is used for fabrication and shaping of metallic work pieces. Plastic and other materials can also be milled on the machine apart from metal. The process of milling depends on the material and tooling.
Milling machines are classified as column and knee type, and categorized as horizontal or vertical. Horizontal or vertical milling machines are based on the machineâs spindle axis.
A vertical milling machine is also capable of working as a drill press because of its perpendicular spindle to the table and can be pulled down into a work piece.
Vertical milling machines are relatively less complicated than horizontal machines owing to the one-piece tool head, which eliminates the need for complex gearing inside the vertical column. This fact has been significantly driving the market over the past years.
High Versatility and Wide Array of Industrial Applications to drive Demand for Vertical Milling Machines in the Global Market
Vertical milling machines are relatively low cost and do not require a highly qualified workforce to operate them, which further subsidizes the operational cost of the machine owner (by eliminating the training cost).
Additionally, the machines also have a smaller footprint, because they take up lesser space than horizontal milling machines. This particularly offers cost benefits in areas where real estate cost is higher.
The above mentioned factors are likely to drive the demand for vertical milling machines in the coming years.
Hazards Associated with the Usage of Vertical Milling Machines a Significant Challenge to the Market
Usage of vertical milling machines exposes its operators to several hazards. One of the most notable limitation of using the vertical milling machine is the uncertainty of using it securely, and properly clamping the work piece to the machine work station.
The machine has to be operated in a way that it is safe and enables flexible movement.

Expanding beyond the horizon: Not more ads!
You know that feeling when you have nothing to do, but donât want to face the menial tasks of life such as filling out your tax return and making dinner? Itâs hard to imagine that there was a time when there was no time for fripperies like blogging, yet here we are, unmotivated to exceed oneâs comfort zone. And what incentive is there? The government is still trying to crack down on rogue fools whoâd rather spend their last days getting that Lucky 7 from the local RSL Club than ponder the thoughts of old.
Itâs no surprise that some people have an adept edge in certain areas. And no surprise that is, one basically does things for a living and therefore has to be decent at such a task. But what about the tasks that one is less skilled in? Surely, being a well-rounded rifleman has its benefits, no? An interest in the outside sphere external to oneâs comfort zone usually helps, and an obligatory sense of urgency usually results in a lackluster outcome that us only achieved because of some arbitrary external requirement. So it turns out that people would rather do nothing than be challenged to do something. Even from a pessimistic standpoint, you canât fail if you never try... but you never succeed either. Which might be a win, if the sole goal is to not fail anyway.
What about minor variations, which on a multiplicative level, can result in well-roundness over a series of repetitions? That would involve understanding oneâs own unique(?) interests and abilities in good detail. Of course, for the purposes of this blog post, we will presume this is prerequisite knowledge of some extent. In any case, what good is variation if one does not know the direction they would want to go in? I suppose thatâs where last weekâs post about how a lack of agency can result in some kind of action is somewhat useful. So in the same sort of way, pick a direction and go. And maybe thatâs not where one wants to go, and maybe it might be. Certain people refer to this as âputting their eggs into multiple basketsâ, and I think thatâs server some purpose in todayâs ever-changing industry of questionable values and beliefs.
So you set off on an adventure to achieve arbitrarily defined goals that vaguely relate to oneâs known abilities and interests, in the vain attempt to become someone whose abilities span slightly wider than before, such that shifting between interests and even goals is viable? It might not be for everyone, as it may turn out, but itâs always useful to have that one backup plan that you never use until youâre 45 and wondering where did the times go, baby it's all wrong, where are the plans we made for two. Eugh, turning 45 is worse than I thought. Regardless, one can look at this from an induction-based perspective: If one is not even willing to change themselves with something that still resides relatively close to oneâs comfort zone, how can the last destination be reached if it is located in the lands of the unknown? At the same time, a static, unchanging character is something that is sometimes unhelpful. Perhaps you may have noticed with yours truly that change is not something that is worth pursuing because of the futility of what lies on the other side, which is to say, temporary satisfaction. So thereâs a balance between being the Jamie Hyneman and the Adam Savage of oneâs own pursuits.
But you may look at the everyday jerk and realise that they get by fine by not constantly refining their own character. And maybe thatâs the way itâs meant to be, for the lesser man. Again, if oneâs overall character is not an item worth fine-tuning, that is OK by most standards today. But I think thereâs always that elephant in the room that dies 8 years ago, whose flea-riddled carcass and abhorrent stench have become decor in oneâs personal space. Where was I going with this? Wait, I think this was the point I was trying to make, so hopefully it makes sense -- If life is easy-going, youâre clearly doing something wrong. Think about it: The man from thousands of years ago had to constantly adapt to his surroundings, lest he become the lunch of some overgrown jackal. As such, there was incentive to keep improving to keep fine-tuning oneâs skills, abilities, interests and even goals to not just survive, but to also pass the baton with some level of added value such that the next man to run the race would reach new heights from previous progress. And while that may not necessarily translate completely to todayâs motivations, I think we often fall into the trap of looking at the smaller picture for far too long, forgetting that there is more to the world than just money, software and pornography.
In some kind of closing remark, what now? What to pursue? What if such pursuits cost more than what one is willing to barter for? Perhaps the risk is always there, and the fact that complexity is an inescapable facet of the modern life. But itâs too easy to dwell on the bad memories, no matter how painful. Not to dismiss the impact of pain on a personal level, but has one even considered the thought of using such a entity to motivate future actions, that one may even be able to punch a hole in the works simply out of villainous duty for a memory long seared into the mind? If Dr. Neo Cortex could do it to some degree, you maybe could too. Even in the midst of error, one must too learn how to be better at avoiding such ill fates, which is only really learned by making errors in the first place. Success, failure, whatever you call the thing in between those two -- it is the crux of the white water rafting ride called Life.
âTil next time, young padawan.
They may not be hungry, but theyâre still hippos. And never underestimate the power of a hippo, mister.

PHOT202Â âManifestoâ - 29/3/2019 Shoot & Contact Sheet
Fog covered the city - a thick blanket was laid over the concrete jungle that is Plymouth, and me and Aaron decided to shoot around the city and take advantage of the interesting weather situation. To do this, I used my Canon 5D as well as my 50mm F1.8 STM. Since it was encroaching on 1am, I also used my tripod to steady the somewhat long exposures. The exposure times were rather surprising: ISO 100, F2.2 and ranging from 1/10s to 1s. Thankfully, having a wider aperture shortens the exposure time exponentially. Also the wide aperture with a long exposure changes the DOF - where itâs expected to be a narrow DOF, the longer exposure time changes the DOF to be much wider than it would be with a quicker shutter speed. I tend to stick to this aperture, as itâs still decently wide but itâs also a lot sharper than it is wide open at F1.8 on this particular lens.Â
We started at the large roundabout that links Saltash Road with Coburg Street and Western Approach. This is also where Beckley Point is situated, where the building looked rather Blade Runner-esque. The main intent of this shoot was just to explore and take advantage of this âfreakâ fog coverage. There wasnât an intent to include this with PHOT202, but as âManifestoâ focuses on my own personal intrigue with the everyday banality with a lesser detail on the contextual theory, and the nuances of the mundane. I initially wanted to shoot this for my own personal reasons, and to shoot something for me, rather than shooting for a project - but it made more sense to use it as it was more of an experimentation as I have never shot in such conditions before.Â

The light dispersed through the fog with an almost ethereal way. There is something oddly refreshing about shooting out of ones comfort zone - such as shooting in the freezing fog at 1am. It reminded me of an old DigitalRev TV episode where Kai went out to the streets of Hong Kong in the early hours of the morning to shoot the city in a different light...which can be seen here. It was a breath of fresh air whilst shooting, as âManifestoâ has been the hardest project to shoot, despite it being so open/broad. The project has changed from documenting the non-place, to documenting the subtle nuances of the mundane banality. It went from complex philosophy and anthropology of the non-place, to leaning away from contextually lead practice. From this, I have learned that having little contextual backing with oneâs work is rather hard. I find it rather difficult to shoot without an ulterior practice. And with this rather experimental take on my own practice to take a step away from a more head focused project, itâs been incredibly hard to shoot. It shows to me that I need that contextual backing to reinforce my work to make it successful.Â
So far, Manifesto has taken shape into a documentation of the everyday and my own personal intrigue within it. There is very little philosophy/anthropology attached to it, and focuses more on the aesthetics of the image, rather than the head focused study that usually is attached to my work. It manages to keep the similar dead-pan, banal aesthetic of my usual craft, but it takes a step back in terms of having a contextual backing (which written previously has been hard to execute).
Whilst this was a distancing subject to what I am used to shooting, it was good to stretch my own knowledge in terms of my own photography. This project is certainly a learning curve when it comes to me own practice, as previously it has questioned how I even create what it is that I create. Itâs made me think about how I can create work, and what I need to succeed with it. I do however have ideas for another project, which has been sprinkled in ever so slightly with this âManifestoâ work. This however, will be disclosed in another post where the context is more suited. It will serve the basis of my third year work, photographically and relating to the dissertation.Â

The fog caused some interesting effects when it came to the lighting of the subjects. Here, Beckley Point looks like a set from Blade Runner - and I can almost here the Vangelis soundtrack when looking at this image. Beckley is a rather interesting building, as during the day it looks rather boring from my standpoint. But at night, it really stands out. The lights on the side glow through the night, and the fog manages to extenuate the glow. The lights are rather cool, but I decided to cool down the image and make them almost tungsten in terms of white balance. I am a big fan of tungsten light, and an even bigger fan of Cinestill 800T (Kodak Vision 3 film for C41), so being able to replicate the WB is always great on a digital format...although the halation is harder to fake on digital. This image steps away from the usual banal space documentation and almost goes back to the latter stages of Alienated Spaces, where architecture was mainly being focused upon with the Blavatnik Building and the Barbican Centre.Â

The fog was almost haunting, like it was a scene from Silent Hill. The dense coverage obscured my vision at times - hearing voices in the densely fogged city without seeing anybody was rather unnerving at times. Thankfully I wasnât there by myself and all was safe. This shot mainly focuses back to the banal settings of everyday, and how the light plays with the road signs as luminescent obstacles. There is just something so haunting about the thick layer of fog that settled upon the city. The lights became obscured by the small particles of water and the quietness of the 2am streets distilled an unsettling ennui.Â
A coda. Somehow shooting just for personal gain turned into images for Manifesto. I also made the realisation that stepping away from a contextual backing to my work was a bad idea. Without the backing, my work has suffered rather badly, to the extent where I find it hard to actually go out and shoot anything photographic. Also shooting in challenging conditions at the ungodly hour, reminding me of the inspirations of old DRTV videos reminded me that I enjoy just going out and taking images. I somehow made it work in terms of this project as well, as I do tend to stick to the same subject matters.Â

The Eleven Satanic Rules of the Earth
Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
When in anotherâs lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
Do not harm little children.
Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him
The Nine Satanic Sins
by Anton Szandor LaVey
© 1987
Stupidity
The top of the list for Satanic Sins.
Pretentiousness
Empty posturing can be most irritating and isnât applying the cardinal rules of Lesser Magic. On equal footing with stupidity for what keeps the money in circulation these days. Everyoneâs made to feel like a big shot, whether they can come up with the goods or not.
Solipsism
Can be very dangerous for Satanists.
Self-deceit
Itâs in the âNine Satanic Statementsâ but deserves to be repeated here. Another cardinal sin. We must not pay homage to any of the sacred cows presented to us, including the roles we are expected to play ourselves. The only time self-deceit should be entered into is when itâs fun, and with awareness. But then, itâs not self-deceit!
Herd Conformity
Thatâs obvious from a Satanic stance. Itâs all right to conform to a personâs wishes, if it ultimately benefits you. But only fools follow along with the herd, letting an impersonal entity dictate to you. The key is to choose a master wisely instead of being enslaved by the whims of the many.
Lack of Perspective
Again, this one can lead to a lot of pain for a Satanist.
Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies
Be aware that this is one of the keys to brainwashing people into accepting something new and different, when in reality itâs something that was once widely accepted but is now presented in a new package. We are expected to rave about the genius of the creator and forget the original. This makes for a disposable society.
Counterproductive Pride
That first word is important.
Lack of Aesthetics
This is the physical application of the Balance Factor.

PRESSÂ RELEASE
Renewable energy interdependent on mining
Energy and mining are interdependent and miners are recognising more and more the significant benefits that renewable energy can provide their mine sites and the wider local communities.
A number of commodities, coal, uranium, lithium, graphite, cobalt and to a lesser extent gold and copper and other strategic metals used in the production of solar panels and wind turbines are all relevant to the sector bringing a synergy to the mining and renewable energy sectors.
Recognising that many of the inputs for clean energy come from the mining industry, it is only natural that traditional mining investors interested in sustainability are also looking at the real asset investment potential offered by renewable and clean energy companies.
The inaugural Future Energy and Finance conference set to take place in Hong Kong, this April 5-7, is co-located alongside the 10th annual Mines and Money Asia. The event will look at the Asian energy market and review its position from a macroeconomic standpoint, the investment opportunities and financing options available within the sector as well as the commodities dependent on the energy market.
Future Energy and Finance provides investors with an overview of the energy sector and insights into its future direction, thus identifying the investment opportunities within the region. Renewable energy is, without doubt a growing phenomenon worldwide and with the support of government policy and subsidies will continue to grow. The fossil fuel divestment movement is also growing apace and those traditional oil and gas investors have an opportunity at Future Energy and Finance to assess the very real alternative that solar, wind, biomass and hydro offer the real asset investment community.

UK gamers: more women play games than men, report finds
New Post has been published on https://workreveal.biz/uk-gamers-more-women-play-games-than-men-report-finds/
UK gamers: more women play games than men, report finds
A brand new look at into British gaming behaviour has confirmed what many industry watchers were staring at for years: the stereotype of the teenage boy gambling on my own in his bedroom is well and honestly lifeless.
Based on interviews with four,000 United Kingdom citizens, the studies asserts that women now account for fifty two% of the gaming target market, up from forty nine% three years ago. The study, which turned into commissioned by using the Internet Advertising Bureau, also revealed there at the moment are greater human beings over forty-four years old playing games (27% of the audience) than children or teenagers (22%). The gamer audience reportedly stands at 33.5 million Britons â 69% of the populace.
women
So there are more women gamers than men players who play gamesThe surge in gaming among new areas of the populace is intently associated with the rise of the telephone, which has made games available to a much wider audience than committed consoles or Pcs. Cellular puzzlers like Candy Crush Saga and Angry Birds are unfastened, intuitive and on hand, requiring neither the mastering time, nor the rate, of conventional âcenterâ games reports. The file claims that 56% of lady interviewees over forty-four have played Cellular puzzle games, which emerged as the maximum famous gaming genre overall, ahead of conventional action adventures and shooters.
Furthermore, 54% of survey respondents referred to their cell phone as their preferred gaming platform â 25% of whom admitted to gambling games on it every day. Smartphones were accompanied by way of computers (fifty-one%), consoles (45%) and drugs (44%).
âThe Net and Mobile devices have modified the gaming landscape forever,â said Steve Chester, Director of Facts and enterprise Programmes at the Internet Advertising Bureau. âTheyâve brought down the barriers to access, making gaming a ways more accessible and opened it up to a whole new audience. In the past you had to go out and purchase an expensive console and the discs on top to get a first rate enjoy, now you may only download a loose app.â
However, the stereotype that lady gamers are fascinated almost entirely in free telephone titles is examined by using the Statistics. Forty-seven% of girl gamers polled had played a disc-Primarily based game In the remaining six months, and sixty eight% had played a web game. Fifty-six% of lady game enthusiasts have played on a console.
In phrases of gaming time, 8-15-yr-olds play for longest, racking up 20 hours of gaming a week. However, the average Briton spends six hours consistent with week gambling video games, which, in keeping with the document, is âdirectly over 11% in their 52 hours of media consumption every week â the identical percentage accounted for via social media and barely much less than being attentive to music (14%)â. The hours among six and eight In the night are the maximum famous for gaming.
Even though the general public are playing on smartphones, game enthusiasts are apparently still playing for longer on conventional structures. in line with the observer, the everyday gamer makes use of 3 one-of-a-kind gadgets, and searching at share of gaming time, consoles account for 30%, accompanied by using computers (24%), smartphones (21%) and capsules (18%). The most time ingesting forms of recreation are on-line-focused titles like Global of Warcraft and make contact with of Obligation â those take up 47% of gaming hours, in comparison to smartphone apps (23%) and disc-Based video games (22%).
gamer
In spite of a well-known pass Inside the enterprise towards digitally allotted games â commonly via telephone, Pc or console app shops â disc-Based entirely video games are nevertheless selling. 29% of adults brought A new sports disc Inside the closing six months, and 21% had bought a second-hand recreation.
The survey, entitled âGaming Revolutionâ and finished with the aid of independent research agency Populus, also regarded into in-recreation Advertising. Regularly a difficult proposition in console video games, where onscreen ads are often visible as invasive, the brand new technology of unfastened-to-play video games has changed attitudes. sixty one% of respondents said they may be glad to peer advertisements in games if it makes them free; they regularly occurring 1.7 commercials every 30 minutes in a free play â two times as excessive as in paid games.
Even as âhardcoreâ gaming is sincerely nonetheless rooted in its conventional person base (gambling video games is considered the maximum entertaining media amongst men aged sixteen-24), what the examine suggests is a widening audience who are exploring video games via new platforms, thanks to the proliferation of new structures. The notion that a quarter of all game enthusiasts are now over forty-five-years-old may also nicely have interesting ramifications for game layout going forward.
But in line with the IAB, one of the most thrilling discoveries via the 4,000 surveys and 20 in-depth interviews that contributed to the findings, turned into the immersive nature of the medium. Researchers determined that whilst Uk game enthusiasts are gambling, they provide their full interest.
âWe have been just amazed by how captivated consumers are via the gaming surroundings; as soon as theyâre gambling, they are completely âInside the sector,ââ said Chester. âWe listen loads approximately how all and sundry is Always multi-tasking however the study suggests that games are a completely unique and engaging environment which requires human beingsâs complete and utter attention.â
A take a look at published on Wednesday by way of the Internet Advertising and marketing Bureau famous that 52% of the gaming target market is made of girls. Thatâs right â the general public of people gambling games are women.
Does this marvel you? It shouldnât. Three years in the past that determine turned into forty-nine%, which is hardly ever an unfortunate minority. Girls have Usually performed games, and in current years the growth of the Mobile video games industry mainly has been driven by a woman consumer base.
The stereotype that games are an interest for adolescent boys is a long-lasting one and one that is perpetuated with the aid of the aggressive advertising and marketing of many massive-finances games.
What will we suppose while we think about a video game? most probably a multimillion dollar console name dripping with machismo and bristling with weaponry. Yet the reality is that the most famous gaming device today is the phone, and the most prominent genres are puzzle, trivialities and word games. less Name of Duty and greater Words With Pals.
Now, there might be many that reply to this shift In the marketplace with the objection âBut those arenât proper video gamesâ. Mobile video games, unfastened-to-play games, social video games â all video games which, surprisingly enough, appeal to ladies in droves â are considered one way or the other lesser via many Within the âconventionalâ gaming Global.
play
Look at the dismissive responses to the wildly worthwhile Cell sport Kim Kardashian: Hollywood â itâs hard to separate judgments of the game itself from experiences of the kind of person that performs it. Itâs no mistake that the Telegraph put its evaluate of the sport Within the âladiesâs Existenceâ section rather than âTechâ.
Whether or not you believe you studied itâs any right or now not, the sport appeals to a large range of games. I canât help However sense that part of its appeal lies in allowing players to pick to be male or female, gay or directly. In that sense, itâs more welcoming and progressive than the vast majority of games. Inside the beyond few years, the very belief of what a game is has broadened to include a diffusion of studies which are on hand to a wider target audience than the typical blockbuster console identify, and that could only be an excellent aspect of an industry which has struggled to place itself in mainstream lifestyle. Whilst hardcore game enthusiasts and the enterprise argue about Whether these video games are âproperâ or no longer, absolutely everyone else is gambling them.
Which begs a broader query: are new women playing Cell games because ladies are more interested in Mobile games? Or is it because they were instructed, over and over again, that ârightâ games arenât for them? That, more extensively, video games arenât for them?
Video games with girl protagonists are nonetheless Inside the minority, or even being able to play as a woman is regularly nevertheless considered an non-obligatory more by using builders and publishers. (And allowâs no longer even get into how games underserve human beings of color, LGBTQ people and other minorities.) Notwithstanding the fact that girls make up the general public of the gaming audience, the quantity of ladies running Within the video games industry stays shockingly low â most effective 12% of game designers in Britain, and 3% of all programmers are girls. The number of girls speaking at industry conferences and press activities is minuscule. And it isnât due to the fact women donât want to paintings in games.
Whilst gaming is now undeniably a part of the cultural mainstream, a lot of the games enterprise still doesnât act like it. now not best do video games fail to represent that 52% of players identify as girls, the truth is that women in video games â as characters, and as creators â are still barely visible.
However we exist, and we are making video games and gambling them and speaking about them â and the wider video games industry is slowly taking observe. From a in simple terms commercial enterprise standpoint, it makes feel for the video games plan to make the effort to be more consultant of its target audience. Growing video games that enchantment to a broader target market calls for a full range of views.
I suppose, and I desire, that for the video games industry and for individuals who play games, the great is But to come back. Because the records are in: video games are for every person.

Non-Invasive Fat Reduction Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast 2016 - 2024
Transparency Market Research presents this most up-to-date research on "Non-Invasive Fat Reduction Market - Global Industry Analysis, Size, Share, Growth, Trends, and Forecast 2016 - 2024"
Non-invasive fat reduction treatment is a procedure that eliminates excess fat with the help of non-surgical techniques. The main focus of this treatment is to remove the excess fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. These procedures are performed by specialized doctors, especially plastic surgeons and dermatologists. The latest non-invasive fat reduction procedures are becoming popular as many of the population are looking for perfect appearance which can be achieved by getting rid of the stubborn fat that mainly sticks around the abdomen. The benefit of non-invasive fat reduction treatment includes less side effects, but the flip side of these procedures is that they are not useful in cases where there is removal of excess fat. Also, unlike liposuction, non-invasive fat reduction requires multiple procedures and the results are not immediate.
Lack of stringent regulatory environment and advances in technology that have lesser side effects in usage of the procedure in removing the abdominal fat are likely to increase the acceptance of non-invasive fat reduction treatment among both men and women. These factors are driving the global non-invasive fat reduction market. The techniques/procedures of non-invasive fat reduction are less complicated, less time consuming with lesser side effects, and provide benefit of offering best results as compared to invasive procedures, which further propel the growth of the market. However, high cost involved in procedures is estimated to be the major restraining factor for the growth of global non-invasive fat reduction market. The cost of non-invasive fat reduction treatment is high due to the monopolistic approach and hidden procedural expenditure associated with the technologies used. There are number of procedures involved in this treatment which is included in the overall cost.
