Hello historians of Tumblr

I just got gifted with a BUNCH of assorted military buttons.

I can identify a few on my own based on the other jackets and such from my collection, but I would like to ID the rest.

So if there’s some database of buttons or military uniforms that would be simply delightful to have (Both for this and also all my other projects). Or literally any other resource.

I'll try to send pics of them (and of my other collection pieces) as soon as I get them sorted out and the kiddos are back in school.

But yeah, if you have anything that can help, or if ya just wanna chat, feel free to drop by in my DMs or ask box.

I've always been curious to know this about the people around me. Most people have been in severe pain, but in my experience few have had what they would say is their 10/10 experience. I guess it's just something I find fascinating, as I had my 10/10 experience quite young and I sometimes forget that not everyone has. In my opinion it changes your relationship with pain and how you engage with it afterwards. If you answered yes, feel free to elaborate on your circumstances in the tags!

#I was 13 and mine was after spinal fusion surgery for scoliosis. T6-L4 fusion and when i woke up in spinal shock it was agonising pain #they had to give me ketamine before the pain died down and even then it was only 9/10 #i was on a fentanyl drip for a few days afterwards and ever 5mins and 50sec id be dosing myself #my dad would take over my button while i was sleeping and set a timer on his watch to push it at those intervals #it was the only way i could rest as without it id wake up in blinding pain #definitely the hardest experience of my life. sometimes i forget that i went through that and came out the other side.#polls #chronic pain #disability #spoonie #cripple punk #cripplepunk #the tags ive chosen kinda skew the balance in favour of the yes but idk what else to tag it with.#it would be interesting to see if other disabled people have also had a 10/10 and how common that is

I made a bracelet out of the waistband of the jeans I've been cutting up for repairs and patches

I saw someone awhile ago that embroidered and painted some of their own bracelets and wanted to give it a shot myself, I also love all the centipede patches I've seen around on the diy punk tag and wanted to make one for myself!

I also made him glow in the dark and my wife gave him some cute eyes and details that only show up when he's glowing!

one time when i was a kid my grandmother pulled me aside and showed me this beautiful little chest she kept w gold coins in it (wedding arras iyk) and she was like “one day when you get married then you will get these coins 🙂‍↕️” and even at my little age i was like … nah i am not getting married ever but i wanted those coins (in my child brain it was straight up treasure) and so later that night i snuck into my grandmas room and stole the coins but she found me and got sooOo mad at me so my heist was foiled :(( and she was also like “now you’ll never get married” which never bothered me then and still doesn’t really but i do wonder if i sealed my fate that day…
