You were one of Lestrade's close friends. you worked as a detective inspector in another country but you had recently moved here and since you were a highly intelligent person he thought you and Sherlock should meet.

And today he decided to go to 221b and bring you with him so here you are, standing at a strangers door.

"this is absurd, why should i come again?" you asked

"for god's sake y\n can you stop nagging for a minuet and do what you're told to do?" he says tired of you constantly asking the same question.

"if you are asking me, no" you teased

"oh shut it" he says and you smirk.

The door opens.

"DI Lestrade!" the man says and Greg nod's walking in and guiding you in too.

"so, this is my friend y\n y\l\n. she moved here from y\f\c" Lestrade explained.

"oh! John Watson. pleasure to meet you." he introduced and you smiled shaking his hand.

As you entered the flat and sat down you saw a man with curly brown hair and a black coat sitting on an armchair, his eyes closed.

Lestrade pointed at the man.

"he is Sherlock Holmes. the man i was telling you about." he says and you nod obviously bored. with that the man opens his eyes and looks at Greg but then quickly glances at you.

"who is that?" he asks

"Sherlock, this is my friend, y\n y\l\n."

Sherlock remains silence, looking you up and down. after a while he raises an eyebrow.

he quickly looks at John.

He turns and looks at Lestrade.

The words and random facts kept coming to his mind, he hadn't lost his observation skills.

John was just shrugging into his jacket when someone knocked against the door frame of the open living room door. He turned around just to spot Greg, armed with his laptop and a bulging manila folder.

"Morning!"

"Good to see you, Greg. Come on in! You can go right through, Sherlock is in the kitchen, sulking."

"Not. Sulking."

The Detective Inspector raised his eyebrow at the rumbled disagreement. "That bad?"

"Just an experiment that has him stumped", John offered as an explanation, before turning towards the stairs with a frown.

"Rosie, come on, we need to get going!"

"I need one more minute!"

Greg chuckled as he placed his things on the coffee table before getting out of his coat. "Busy morning, eh?"

"Always." John looked around the chaotic living room with a rueful chuckle. "Don't mind the mess. Can I get you anything to drink while I wait for Rosie?"

"A tea would be lovely but only if you have the time."

John winced. "Well actually ... tea is a bit rare at the moment I am afraid."

"John!", Sherlock warned sharply but after almost ten years of cohabitation, John was not so easily intimidated anymore. Least of all when it came to his grumpy boyfriend.

"That is unless you would like your tea at a perfect 42°C", he proposed sardonically. "Then this is your lucky day indeed!"

Sherlock groaned but John just raised his voice to be heard over the other mans wordless protest. "I would just like to know if there is any chance that I will ever get our old kettle back or whether I should just buy a new one."

"I will order one today", Sherlock mumbled begrudgingly.

Thundering steps and a loud clattering sound announced the arrival of his daughter on the stairs. "Hiya, Uncle Greg", she greeted the inspector exuberantly. "We are going to meet Aunt Harry!"

Lestrade looked dubiously from Rosie to John and back. "Well, good luck with that!"

"It's going to be fine! I brought my swear jar!", she pronounced proudly.

Now it was Sherlocks turn to smirk as he offered her a high five before joining the Inspector at the table. John winced. Chances were high that Rosie would make some good money today, even if Harry and he usually put in their best efforts to keep things civil around her. Some things just never changed.

Sherlock just made a shooing gesture in their direction. "You better get going, or you're going to miss your bus! And we wouldn't want that!" He turned to Greg with a shit-eating grin. "So what have you got for me, Lestrade?"

If we go with a world where Beatrice/Clara is real could you just imagine the chaos of the fandoms when they recognise that Mycroft and Greg's precious teen daughter who might have been put in danger once or twice in the show that led to Mycroft and Greg having their own badass moments of rescuing her

Is also the same second grifter years later in Leverage who has a one-sided reluctant allies to friends to lovers arc with Eliot and has a parent/child relationship with Nate and Sophie and is constantly just besties with Hardison (Parker is like a chaotic little sister who keeps trying to teach Clara how to at least pickpocket, alas it never works but Parker will keep trying)

Imagine all the theories popping up about Beatrice and Clara being one person or the fanfics where people write a "Meet the parents" moment for Eliot or even for Nate and Sophie and chaos just breaks loose

Or even video compilations of "Nate & Soph parenting Clara vs M y s t r a d e spoiling Bea" and even leverage centric edits "The EliRa love story progression" or even "Hardison, Sterling and Sophie trying to mention Clara's true identity without mentioning it for 15 mins straight" or "Clara slipping into Princess Beatrice mode for 6 and a half minutes in Leverage S1"

Until suddenly a special Leverage episode happens maybe somewhere in S2 where they work a case in London and Clara is digging her heels in regards to being their grifter there cause yeah yeah she has a posh brit accent when speaking British English but like??? Enter their arrival at London and the Leverage crew are greeted by Mycroft and Greg who step forward to hug their bby who had been away to work through some issues after accidentally meeting their bio dad who was trash and didn't want to hurt their dads while they figure out their hurt and suppressed trauma first

Ofc Mycroft deduces who everyone is at first glance. Ofc Mycroft and Greg clocked in that Eliot's attracted to their princess. Ofc Mycroft is well aware that Beatrice's copium through trauma was by enacting illegal justice to help people. Why else is Sterling always somehow forgetting the second grifter when going after the crew? Ofc Sophie and Hardison figured out who Clara was and Nate eventually followed. (Hard not to when there's a huge bunch of photos of Mycroft and DI Lestrade's well-protected child on the night of their debut party, you only need the right keywords really)

Anyway I like thinking of how the fandom would react to this messi verse lol

Like, yeah, the witcher is good, SPN is good, TVD was pretty good.

But Sherlock is the only show that gives me so many feels that I have to pause each episode multiple times to calm down before I can keep watching. (Even after I've seen the episode like 9 times)

Oooo yeah, Merlin is a close runner up, but i haven't had to pause literally every episode multiple times. Just a larger number of them than the other shows, which are generally far and few between.

Yeah, no, Sherlock definitely wins. It is by far the best show I have ever seen, and I'm damn pleased about it.

So fuck it, imma rewatch the whole goddamn thing immediately.
