I come to you with more demented thoughts about these guys this time.

A lot of this is just going to be former Sherlock headcanons revamped aren't they? Oh well. Let us get basics out of the way.

John

• Comes back from war marked by the Slaughter.

• Is not an avatar yet and does not understand what's happening to him.

• Like in the series, meets Sherlock after Mike finds him at the park and helps him out with the flatmate situation.

• Sherlock invites him over to the institute. Yes he knows what he is doing. Yes John is bound to him now wether he likes it or not.

• He does. He does like it.

• Likes Lestrade well enough. Hates Mycroft's gut with all his might. Did not expect him to technically be his boss.

• It's giving Melanie and Elias but with more shenanigans and less trauma.

• Let's his anger out more than in the series in the sense that he's more brutal with how he deals with criminals?

• Sherlock enjoys it. Sherlock enjoys it way too much and absolutely likes watching.

• John loves having Sherlock's attention for no particular reason (nothing suspicious here whatsoever) so he doesn't mind. Finds it a bit disturbing that Sherlock likes it when he's more unhinged tho.

• That moment Sherlock comes into the appartment completely soaked in blood did something to John here.

• The more he finds out about the actual situation he's in the angrier and more frustrated he gets.

• Him and Sherlock work things out at some point because contrary to popular believe, Sherlock does not want John to stop being human.

Lestrade

• This man. Is SO tired.

• Still completely human when the series starts because I like fun. But also

• The "you know him better thank I do" "I've known him for five years and no, I don't" conversation John and Lestrade have in Study in Pink is a parallel to how far along each is in regards to being marked by the fears.

• Meets Sherlock during one of his post Eye use exhaustions and absolutely thinks the man is suffering an overdose. He kind of is.

• Stays with him in the hospital cause what do you mean you cannot find anything out about this guy and his background?

• He does not want to leave this kid alone either.

• All the while feeling extremely watched for some reason. Sherlock is not awake during this time.

• When he meets Mycroft he inmediately knows what's going on. And by this I do not mean TMA talk, I mean he takes a look at Mycroft and goes "oh okay. Big brother then".

• He also calls Mycroft out a bit for not going to the hospital and this. This fascinates Mycroft.

• He becomes the Holme's favourite agent and has been so for the past 5 years. Hence the tiredness.

• Is absolutely a Sectioned officer.

• Is not tied to the institute but keeps being shoved into section 31 cases that are tied to it anyway.

• Mycroft just loves to see him dance around. Sherlock too, to a lesser degree.

• Dangerously close to the Hunt and the Eye. But also, strangely, favoured by the Buried.

Moriarty

• Independent avatar of the Desolation.

• Sometimes a man just wants to watch the world and the heart of his archenemy burn.

• Still wears Westwood don't worry.

• You know that thing Andrew Scott does with his face to be more Moriartyish? Now it has a supernatural explanation.

• It's difficult to keep you face natural when you are made out of clay.

• His victims and clients alike have a nasty habit of turning up half melted after some time.

• Moran (classic Moran, not bbc Sherlock Moran) would probably be a the Flesh avatar. Nicely goes with the whole skinning people alive bit and being Moriartys number one henchman. That or parallel to John, the Slaughter.

• Extinguishes himself in order to have Sherlock die during the whole Reichenbach Falls situation, does not go to plan.

• I'm thinking that the end of season 3 would go more towards a The Extinction storyline than anything.

• No he does not plot revenge on the Holmes borthers with Euros. Get out of here.

Hello yes, I have been assaulted by thoughts. May I present you all with this Sherlock x The Magnus Archives au that just kind of *vaguely gestures* writes itself???

Main character knows shit he absolutely shouldn't by normal human standards, mystery genre with suspense, it's even set in London for God's sake. Enter the headcanons.

The Holmes Siblings

• Family serves The Eye and keeps relations with other avatars.

• Not blood related, like the Fairchilds. Holmes is just a name, but they were raised together.

• The Holmes kidnapped them when they were very young because they had an interest in gifted children, similar to the institute in tmagp.

• Mycroft was brought in last to keep an eye on the other two, he is still the oldest.

• Timelinewise the family attempts a ritual that goes wrong. "Uncle" Ruddy, head of the family, dies in the attempt and Eurus is weakened to a debilitating state. Also goes a little insane due to the Eye's influence.

• The Holmes run what is basically The Institute.

• The Diogenes Institute has close ties with the Yard, the government and royal family. One could even say they run most of them.

• Sherlock is basically the Archivist. Barely acts the part. Obsessed with closing open cases.

• Basically works alone untill he meets Lestrade and later on John, with the rare exception of Molly being included.

• The archives are in utter disarray. This is not on purpose, it is just his way.

• Out of the three, Sherlock is by far the one that abuses the Eye's power the most. He does feed it but he uses it to exhaustion.

• This is the reason Mycroft is still a motherhen.

• Mycroft is head of the institute.

• Has the most control over the Eye's powers. He does feed it a lot. Having access to the entirety of London's cctv feed does help.
