Her hair looked fun to fix, but was easy.

my little pony fun fact!

did you know that in 1988 Hasbro bought out cabbage patch kids as the previous owner filed for bankruptcy? they only had the IP for a short period as Mattel took over in 1994 but in their reign they created... PONIES!!!!

The initial line was Crimp'n Curl Ponies which featured 6 ponies in typical pony colours. Then there was an extension of the line called Magic Meadow Ponies which featured 6 colored earth ponies with the second wave featuring 3 unicorns and 3 pegasi ponies. The Magic Meadow Ponies even featured a pony called Sundance! I wonder why that sounds familiar...

Personally I would love to add these to my collection!!! Is this a fact you already knew?

Mom-made Popple hanging out while Meyercord Pony head dries after some sanding.

I honestly don't know how my Mom got anything done in those years; I was about four and my brothers who are twins were about two, and our older sister about nine. Having twins sounds like a nightmare. I don't remember that time really at all! But I know she made me this Popple and a huge Cabbage Patch doll as well, mid 1980s.

Not positive the Popple is older than my store-bought Fluppy, but it definitely looks ancient so that's what we're going with :3

anyways, since theyre both like lil dolls or whatever that gives me grounds to make them kiss like im playing w cabbage patch dolls. chucky curly is sentient so he can pull away and maybe kill me but,,,,would he,,,,would he REALLY pass up the opportunity rn?????wouldnt he just play “dead” to keep the bit going or take it by the reigns himself as i run away in horror

Stuff I Didn't Buy

I do not like this. The box Neighthan was in is still priced at $10 even though most of the dolls have been removed. That's one of the Disney Parks something something dolls that represent the rides in one of them. Dolls are very easy TO remove from those boxes, and they range in price from $6 to $12. I won't buy that.

Box of ponies was all fakies and i think a Disney pony but I didn't look too closely.

I thought these things were cute.

Blue sewing machine, painted metal tray, and a blanket that seems to have gone through the wash on super hot as it was felled and felt horrible.

Stuff I did buy:

A Cabbage Patch pony and I think that's Princess Cadence? I wouldn't have bothered with Cadence except her hair looks horrible and that's my favorite, and she was only $1.

Fakie appreciation post

this Buy It Now fakie lot has been on the goodwill website for at least a couple weeks, funny enough it is labeled Equestria Girls.

I feel so silly that i cant find the brand of these because they are by far the most common fakies I find in thrift stores, and theyre also some of the highest quality fakies.

this guy with the tiny eyes seems to use almost the same mold with some adjustments

this one, too, is similar to many on the wiki but i dont think lists a brand anywhere?

This other lot has two g4 fakies and a clear g3 Fakie with very skinny legs!

it also has these glittery teal and pink horsees which would look much cuter I think if their glitter wasn't peeling off; I think its fair to call these ones fakies although apparently they were Mattel's "Barbie 3 muskateers" line

these two on the left less so, are these like toys from the spirited away cartoon tv show or something? idk. also theres a little like... g3 Rainbow dash which im not sure is a bootleg or some piece of actual merch.

I really just wanted to make this post because of the big pink horsey. I think this is a cabbage patch kids horse? Maybe a fakie of that? I love how big it is compared to the g1 next to it.

The gray-white one with the painted hooves looks like a Tara Toy pony but these other ones are just a wide variety!

Unfortunately many of the archive sites are not updated when it comes to the fakie toys, which is a shame because theyre so varied.
