Maybe! But with vi alive, I like to think that she’d retain a bit more of her chaos and ambition. They look out for each other so both have a bit more freedom to explore themselves. I am biased but career-wise, I think she’d have a quite similar one to Ella Purnell, due to the range and success of her work. Or Ayo Edebiri even, coming from screenwriting/comedy and eventually making the move to acting. Just because I think she has the urge to create in areas outside of just acting. She decided to audition for arcane for shits and giggles because her sister was. And figured out hey, this is fun and I’m actually really fucking good at it. Also, have a couple of doodles from the planning stage (including some of jinx)!

Marlene's first day of kindergarten. What is Barrett acting like?

a mess. he’s so proud of his little girl but unfortunately that does mean he’s completely dissolved in tears the entire morning. tifa and cloud have to pull him away from the school because he’s ready to just sit in the pick-up area until the day’s over. tifa and barret are both crying on the walk home that’s their GIRL and they LEFT HER BEHIND (for a good reason but still. ultimate grade school empty nesters without her in the house)

she has a CROWD when its finally time to pick her up. everyone showed up to walk her home. she was the most well-received kid at the kindergarten pick-up, cheering and everything. and this happens for like a week straight, she goes down in the school’s history as the kid with the weirdest family because why the hell does this 6 year old have 9 parents and a talking cat

also everyone for sure came over the night before marlene’s first day, to help make her lunch and pack her bag and such (most of them ended up sidelined and playing card games on the couch, cid taught marlene how to cheat at go fish and hide cards in her sleeves)

yeah definitely. he would definitely see himself in Powder, just a kid who didn't know any better but wanted to try her best to disastrous results. he would completely be behind her for the murders too lol. i feel he would despise Cait but like, for "taking away" Vi from Jinx ya know?

he would be really divided on his feelings for Vi for sure. subconsciously seeing himself and Caleb in Vi and Powder. the narrative of season 1 arcane also focuses on Vi so he might end up seeing her side. an older sibling who wants to protect their younger sibling but is pulled in all directions with their sibling and their other relationships, barely allowed to think about themselves because they must put others first (that sounds familiar). i think Belos would finally understand what Caleb might have gone through though he would be unable to face the fact that he hurt Caleb by forcing him to pick a side and then ultimately choosing for him

also season 2, belos would be rooting for a reconciliation between Vi and Jinx (projecting much?) and would be devastated that the apparent conclusion was "Jinx is now too much for Vi and should just go away so Vi finally can be happy without her"

long story short probably don't put this man in front of a movie or show that has an emphasis on family

This doesn’t feel like my place to say, but I’ve noticed a lot of new art since Arcane ended does not feature Caitlyn with her eye patch.

She lost an eye, and she has a disability. This is canon guys. It’s part of her character. It’s not a trait one can choose to ignore (and yet it seems many do).

This is a brilliant question!

It would make some sense for this to be the case, but unfortunately we only have late sources creating this connection. While Herodotus does makes Paris’ abduction of Helen part of a chain of kidnappings (despite including Medea in that list, and later stating Paris had “given Helen wings”), he makes no mention of Hesione.

We then have the much later Dares Phrygius, who explicitly gives her as a motivation for Paris’ raid on Sparta. Priam sends Antenor to ask for his sister back, but each Greek king he appeals to refuses and insists that no wrong had been done. Paris is then sent with a fleet to attack Greece and regain Hesione. However, they stop on the island of Cythera (just off the coast of the Peloponnese) to sacrifice at a temple. Helen also decides to go there, seeking to see Paris’ beauty. (The text then says they spent some time just staring at each other! xD) Paris takes Helen home with him, along with some captives from the raid, which is said to delight Priam as he hopes to use this as a bargaining chip. But when the Greeks do send an envoy, asking for Helen and reparations, Priam recalls the killing of his father and the treatment of his own envoy and decides he wants war!

Dracontius’ De Raptu Helenae seems to make one event lead into another. Priam sends Paris to Salamis to ask Telamon for Hesione’s release. Telamon refuses, saying he has legally married Hesione and she has born him a son. The Trojans leave in defeat, and storms separate the ships on the voyage home. Paris’ ship lands in Cyprus, where he meets Helen and they elope.

TLDR; it is a very interesting idea to explore, however not many texts link the two — and the ones that do are from late antiquity!

And poor Vi having to watch another one of her loved ones change for the worse after she's already lost everything, URGH! It's so good.

Caitlyn's redemption arc is gonna have to be top-notch to return from everything she's already done, and I CANNOT WAIT to see her crawling and crying and begging Vi for forgiveness!!! >:3

I can't say it's "the best" before I reread the whole manga in one sitting but the first that comes to my mind is Phos from HNK because of how RADICAL and all encompassing it is. Is this still character development at this point

Saint Seiya: Shun! First because he is objectively the cutest, and second because he's very different from the other Saints (I guess that's a common reason to love him), and his kindness hides so much strength he consciously refrains from using precisely because of it

Magi: Ren Kougyoku! She gets introduced as your typical cold hearted rich girl, then you find out she's so much more -- and she feels so lonely 🥺 Seeing her act silly and carefree with Aladdin and Alibaba, blushing in front of Sinbad, and then (SPOILERS) determined to fight up to leading her country made me feel so much for her. Also THAT PAGE WHERE SHE HIDES ALL HER HATRED TOWARDS SINBAD IS SO POWERFUL

And I'll give the last one to Arcane: Viktor. My TOTALLY UNPLANNED blorbo of the year. I finished the series without a clear idea of my favorite character, and the more I thought about him in his loneliness and his determination, losing himself in the process, the more I just knew it was him 😂 The first steps scene left a deep deep impression on me and I think I was sold from that moment without knowing. Also HE'S CUTE and I love beauty marks

No offense but can you please watch the show so you atleast have context.... The grey was being used agaisnt the people affiliated with the chem barons, not just the regular normal zaunites. Cait is also one of the few who is fighting AGAISNT sending enforcers down to Zaun because she doesn't want innocents caught in the crossfire, but the councellors vote to send the enforcers anyway, especially after the memorial to Cait's mother gets attacked and Piltover throws a fit.

Cait's definitely shitty but Catra's not any better..

So I mean Nightcrawler as in the 2014 Jake Gyllenhaal movie where Lou is a nightcrawler, aka someone who listens to police scanners in order to go to scenes of crimes or accidents and take photos in order to sell to news outlets. the actual term is called being a stringer, but I thought that wasn't as catchy– but I also hadn't watched the X-Men movies yet when I started it– so the name is a wip 😅

Basic summary is that reader had something happen to her in her old city/town and moved to New York to start fresh. She winds up meeting Bucky and it's grungy and angsty and that's about as far as I've gotten with it. Definitely going to revisit soon but it's more concept than outline ATM.

Here's a lil snippet:

Your hand is starting to sweat, slipping on the handle of your knife.  “My turn,” he mutters. “The hell are you doin’ up here?”  You pinch the bridge of your nose. You’re not wanting to do this right now. “People watching,” you answer sarcastically. “My turn. Are you gonna hurt me?” Bucky scoffs, almost offended. “Wh- no?”  You nod slowly and loosen your grip.  “Are you gonna hurt me?” “No, not now, anyway,” you shrug, taking your sweaty hand out of your pocket, wiping it on your jacket. Bucky sniffs a laugh and slowly steps forward closer to you, crouching and focusing on the city in front of you. “Then what are you doin’ up here, then?” You sigh and shake your radio.
