we are here to help you, and part of helping you means asking you questions about your request that may frustrate you because you have been living in your situation, and we have not. but we cannot help you without getting answers to questions that may, to you, seem pointless.

if you want us to help you, maybe take a breath, and then extend the little government worker bee who is trying very hard not to take your anger at them personally the same grace that they have no choice but to extend to you, because it is part of their job.

the good news is i am almost certainly stronger than i think i am, if only because on the eighth of june in the year 2016, i did not collapse into a permanent heap from psychic damage caused by receiving the following text from my father, with absolutely zero context:

Since tensions and emotions are super high, I know people default to drastic measures and worst case scenarios, but I would like to remind everyone that there are still people working at Bungie.

A lot of comments online right now act as if there's no one there anymore and that it's totally okay to burn everything to the ground. But there are still employees there who are facing an incredibly difficult situation and they don't need the community to talk about it all as if they've all died.

It's not helping them or their laid off colleagues to talk about the game they work on as if it's gone and over. They still work on the game and that work will be difficult for them, emotionally and physically. I'm sure it's also not good to be the remaining employee and hear how your work is now worth nothing and "will suck" and be "soulless" because some of their coworkers are gone. It's literally the last thing they want to hear in a situation of complete demoralisation. It's not respectful to them or to the people laid off. This is a massive group project. There isn't a single person responsible for the soul of the game, all of them are. Some of them are gone, but many are not.

Many of the devs that we know and love are still there and will be still working on the game. We should respect their work instead of preemptively calling it soulless. Obviously the game will not be the same. That's not the main issue here. The main issue is that there are still developers who have jobs and who would probably like to keep those jobs and who still care deeply about their work and are passionate about the game and its community. So just be mindful of how you talk and engage with the situation. The remaining devs will have a tough time, especially with motivation and morale going forward; we don't have to add to it by labelling their efforts worthless. Most of all, they will for sure be overworked and understaffed and they don't need added difficulties and demands thrown on them.

can we talk for a second about felix and tamora sexting because I have…thoughts. I feel like it’s not something she was ever super into because why would you text when you could go have the real thing. but knowing how bad felix is at dirty talk and just generally talking about sex I can imagine her deciding that actually she loves sexting and she will be initiating. often. because there’s a whole nother layer of goodness in getting to imagine how flustered he is by receiving those types of messages and trying to come up with a response. and he hates it because if he tries to type out what he’s actually thinking, he immediately loses his gumption when he sees the words on the screen because he could never actually say that!!! and if she sprinkles in some pics??? it’s over for him

Felix blinks. How......... bold. He supposes its a better opener than stilted niceties, if nothing else. He's sure he could hazard a guess as to who this, and the two trailing behind him, is, but he frankly doesn't care that much? And in this sort of setting, he doesn't feel the need to.

"I've got no reason to tell you that." He says bluntly.

But a little voice in his head reminds him that he promised to play nice. No point starting any unnecessary trouble. No matter how much he dislikes the extravagant production of a gala nowadays.
