Prompt from @creativepromptsforwriting, wrote this with @miradelletarot in mind because I've lurked her account enough the past few months she deserves something sweet.

"I miss the dumbest things about him."

Your fingers dance across the top of the floral arrangement resting upright in the window overlooking the orange sea of sunset. You pull back, a petal that had fallen from the oldest flower between your thumb and forefinger.

"His eyes, of course. Him forgetting to tuck his hair behind his ears because there was something more important." The petal rests in the palm of your hand, and then rises slowly to your eye level at your ask, at your whisper of Weave that dances from under your tongue. "That's normal I suppose, when you've been apart so long.

But I miss the ink stains on his fingertips. The strangled noise that he made when he was trying not to laugh at open mic night at the Yawning Portal last season."

You turn with a remembered smile and immediately raise your chin to keep the tears in your eye — you've already had to redo the eyeliner you'd borrowed from Shadowheart, what a disaster a second time would be. A small somatic motion, and the petal multiplies among your hair to create a crown of white and blue.

Today was about new lives, after all. Growth after darkness. The tower had been your self-imposed cell for what seemed like an age, and it was finally time to leave, to see all your…. All your everyone. Crying was expected, today of all days, when friends and family had gathered to celebrate life and change.

"I hope he's well, where ever he is. I hope he's ready for what's next.

Tara blinked slowly at you, lowering a well-cleaned paw to one of many pillows she had claimed in your study. A brief stretch and turn, before she calls your name and waits for your rapt attention.

That broke the ice of your hesitance and you darted down the stairs toward familiar noises.

You were too quick to hear a tressym grumble that the longest you'd been apart was this morning's few hours. A forgotten bouquet in her mouth, she follows you into the chaos.

You had places to be, of course. Important places, today. It wouldn't do to be late to your own wedding.

finished my third run of Book of Hungry Names and while I'm waiting on other games to come out I'll probably end up doing a fourth run

I have another idea for a 'things you should know' post to make and I might even do an analysis of every packmate's taste in music because it's so goshdang good and colours the story and its setting so much

I also noticed there is yet to be a 100% guide on the game and I feel like I've obsessively documented the game enough now to make a passable one to put up on Steam but whooooo knows
