There’s gotta be a point where you stop and realize that calling every single person you disagree with a Nazi is devaluing the word.
Comparing a shitty fandom (in your opinion) to fucking Nazis—people who murdered millions and denied people personhood because of made-up racial superiority is insane actually. Lily Orchard is fucking stupid at best, and a Holocaust denier at worst, because how can you equate the actual MISERY and DEVASTATION caused by REAL FUCKING NAZIS to Steven Universe fans criticizing a video review.
Get off your high horse Lily, you will never be victimized the way people were back then. Comparing your struggles to those of victims of the Holocaust is probably the stupidest fucking thing you’ve done this year, and it’s only February.

What's with the Brony to Creepazoid pipeline popping up more and more?
You'd think a show about, you know, the friendship of magic would bring out the best. Like cringe all you want, I remember a lot earnestness when it came to fans of the show, fan creations, fan discussions and the like.
Well... it's not exactly exclusive to MLP fans or any fandom surrounding a show that would demonize the very evils we allow in fan spaces.
Often it comes down to how the lessons of friendship it teaches are largely good (some executed weirdly but that's usually down to perspective) but for older viewers, the cynicism of the real world is keen to browbeat us. Especially if we're dealing with a bad relationship, toxic family members or any kind of turmoil.
Basically it's treated less as lessons to take home with you and more escapism to a world where common decency is far more the norm. Like, "Oh, that's cute. If only real life worked that way..." Rather than, "Real life should world that way."
Honesty. Loyalty. Generosity. Kindness. Laughter? Sure would be nice if those were built to last but in the end, scum rises to the top. To be frank, it's scary when I watch some animation for kids or families and find that it teaches a lot of basic human decency we adults forget.
Is this what adulthood entails? To compromise your moral compass because, hey, everyone else is.
Fuck that.
We can be better even if the powers that be never will.

Is it bad I'm hoping this dude genuinely thought the version of Lily's puppet I edited angry eyebrows and a flapping mouth onto is just her legit newest avatar?
Lily's vagueposting about how Crispy's video totally doesn't bother her, not at all.
She called him a "D&D chud" Lily what does that even mean? 😂
The video in question. A fairly large tabletop and gaming centric YouTuber talked about Lily's "playersexual" video.

red wine supernova / regina george
Tumblr media
SUMMARY  regina george has made you the new victim of her attention. it's a different kind of attention than you expected from her.
QUOTE  "she was a playboy, bridgette bardot, / she showed me things i didn't know, / she did it right there, out on the deck, / put her canine teeth in the side of my neck," - red wine supernova by chappell roan
WORD COUNT  1.1K
WRITTEN  6.3.2024
you've always been introverted and shy - some people were loud, rambunctious, easily likeable. easily sociable. it had never been that easy for you - anxiety rumbling at the bottom of your stomach every time you spoke to someone new, hands trembling and voice stuttering as you spoke in front of the class. it didn't help when others began to tease you for it - it only made you more reclusive.
but then, she noticed you. everyone knew who she was. regina george. queen bee of the mean girls, the plastics, the fake and bake's, whatever people liked to call them these days. and believe me, no one wanted to be noticed by regina george, not the way she noticed you.
it started out as small, targeted comments in the lunch line. on your clothes, on the foos you ate, on the way you did your hair. cute, girly tips hidden behind the pretentiousness of a pig with lip glass. okay, perhaps that was taking things way too far. she was gorgeous and she wasn't completely terrible. you just couldn't figure out why you were so special to be one of the few victims of her attention and insults.
but now she was making it obvious to everyone that she had taken some odd liking to you. swinging her arm around your shoulder and calling you pet, playing with your hair and giving you beauty tips with thinly veiled conceit, things like that.
you tried to stay away from her as much as possible, but unfortunately that was impossible. world history and of course, for your final project, you abaolutely had to be thrown with her.
regina plopped down in the seat next to you as people scattered across the room to find their project partner. aaron was sitting practically next to her, but she wasn't even watching him. she seemed to give all her attention to you lately. "hey babes, looks like we're stuck together."
you laughed nervously. "yeah, looks that way," you responded in a small tone, staring down at your notes. "so i was thinking, i'm very educated in world war two discourse, i was hoping we could do our project on -"
"you know, you should totally come over my house this weekend." most of your classmates around you froze and glanced towards regina. she never invited anyone but the plastics at her house. "i can show you how to do makeup - i'll even let you borrow my lip gloss."
"you never let me borrow your lip -"
"oh my god, will you stop taking things so personally gretchen?" regina responded, not even turning around in her chair to face gretchen, who was sitting behind her. regina gestured to gretchen and rolled her eyes, finally returning all her attention to you. she grabbed your hand and started to trial her fingernail around your hand in circles. "what do you say, pet?"
"umm, i'll bring my notebook so we can work too," you responded in an uncertain tone.
"great!"
-
"and don't worry girls, if you want to have a party, i still have all of my old nas cd's downstairs!" regina'a mother exclaimed as she left the room. you and regina were situated on her bed, sitting rather close to one another. as you reached to pull your notebook out of your bag, regina pushed your hand back down so that your notebook was firmly back in it's place.
"don't be a bore, let's have some fun first," regina responded with a roll of her eyes, popping her lollipop back in her mouth. she grabbed you by the arm and hauled you all the way over to her vanity, turning on the lighting and grabbing all the possible makeup in sight. "we are giving you a makeover."
she grinned at you, and in that moment you couldn't tell if it was genuine or not. you decided to go along, for the sake of it - why upset her now? she could have her fun with you and then you could go back to working on your project. "all right, i guess."
she started to pull out all sorts of makeup application devices you either recognized and didn't use or had never seen at all. she tapped her phone and punk rock music began to blare through the speakers in her room - you found yourself suprised at her music taste but said nothing, only tapping your feet along to the beat.
she began by brushing your hair and pulling it back with a headband, giving her free reign to do whatever she wanted to your face. she started out with skincare, washing your face and applying a face mask.
"so, what do you like to do in your free time, or whatever?" regina asked you in a bored tone, though her eyes seemed rather interested as she looked down at you. enamored, almost, but that must have been a trick of the light.
you started to name a few hobbies but before you knew it, the two of you were deep into conversation about various different things and surprisingly, as she did your makeup, you found yourself opening up to her, becoming louder and louder, while she somehow became more dormant - less mean and commanding and more, understanding and listening.
"okay, take a look!"
you turned around and faced yourself in the mirror. you smiled widely as you felt rather pretty, wearing the makeup regina had put on you, sparkly yellow eyeshadow and pink mascara. you saw regina biting her bottom lip as she looked at you in the mirror - suddenly you felt shy again and felt a blush fall over your cheeks.
"how do you like it?" regina asked as she turned you to face her.
"i feel really pretty . . . thanks," you mumbled shyly, staring down at your feet
"you are really pretty," she told you in a low tone, placing her finger under your chin and raising your head so you met her eyes. "you're so fucking dumb, how long will it take you to realize i like you, pet?"
she laughed at your confounded expression. you felt your face turn a tomato red and you buried your face in your hands, feeling embarrassed. "i thought you were making fun of me!" you exclaimed between your fingers.
"i was endearingly teasing you, or whatever," regina said in a defensive tone, though she was still falling over laughing at your expression.
"this isn't a prank, right?"
"of course not! now let's finish this dumb project so i can take you out on a date, hoe."

Am I the asshole in this situation??
First of all I'm so sorry for bringing t/b discourse here but this has been so gd annoying I need help. And all this is is on twitter-retro etc.
I'm 100% here for switch please keep in mind. Idc what anyone else likes it's food I'll eat all of it. But this fandom. Oh this fandom. So here's the context, it's a anime show with a really popular almost canon mlm ship, one of them is crazy beautiful and the other one is a big muscular man. Naturally the fandom like the pretty man as bottom and the muscular man as top. Let's call this DC. Not all people tho and it's the problem.
See, there are some creators who hate the above dynamics so much they make the muscular man a woman, sometimes trans which is fine but they always babygirl him, call him wifey, use she/her pronouns, go all out to make the pretty man over the top masculine so he can be top while making the canon masculine man demure little wife. Note that they're both really tall but D has long hair so they always make him wear accessories to feminize him. I made friends with some authors who used to like switch, they wrote DC back then and they were so good. They were all into switch too. Over the years they became really hateful of DC dynamics and started to exclusively write CD, talk about CD only, rt CD art exclusively.
This is still fine, they're like 10 people out of thousands who don't care, and most people don't care. Until one day recently when I said it was better to ship switch. Those people started clowning me, saying it's their right to exclusively like whatever, write whatever, started ignoring how the show portrays them. They wrote literal threads detailing how to how use tags as if no one knows, shaded people who said they didn't care and would use whatever tags they liked. It got to a point I had to ask them to stop, they started saying I was harassing them and accused the fandom of harassing them on anon and ao3. When I said it Doesn't Matter they said it was racist to suggest that, telling me to block if I didn't like their posts. I could not make them understand how fetishistic it was, just because Japanese fans do this doesn't mean it's good or we have to follow? They somehow figured out who I was and blocked me, kicked me out of a server we were in together, so I lost mutuals and some followers too.
Then they started answering my asks unseriously like "I write CD to piss YOU off" "can't project on the twink like yall" and started insulting switch fans calling us hypocrits. There isn't much CD content to begin with how can I share more of those? Whatever is available they make it heteronormative like that. One of them deadass called me an asshole for "harassing" them just because I said it's rude to block people over t/b dynamics when no one is bothering anyone, because these people are always blocking anyone posting DC and making a bubble of CD only fans. This is bound to make them lose track of canon but who cares anymore. They keep complaining about being harassed for liking CD and yes some fans probably send anon hate but that doesn't mean any critic of CD is harassment?
Tell me how I'm the asshole here for suggesting they stop obsessing over t/b this much? How am I the asshole when I'm the one they all blocked and apparently I'm a bad guy because I followed some popular accounts who post DC and said some weird things about D which I didn't even know about.
What are these acronyms?

It all started with a theory, then led to a game of courage between me, a song, and a user we'll call "CD".
After spending a month on my solo investigation, it's finally time:
MEETING THE "FG CREATOR"
⚠️ discourse, past controversies about the show SMG4, some identities/info have been censored due to privacy reasons (and I will not disclose them without their permission) and to not accidentally summon someone unrelated to this
GOOGLE FOLDER OF SCREENSHOTS BELOW // HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO READ THE DOC FIRST
And some words from me: I do want to thank you all for sticking by me when I was in a bad state of panic. Not to mention how haunting it all feels. But rest assured, my safety hasn't been compromised and no one got hurt in the process. I can talk about it now, freely. In the doc, I did leave IMPORTANT instructions for you all so please make sure to read things through carefully. Writing this really helped, and again, thank you 💙

As someone both currently on adderall, with ADHD, is also Canadian, and is a former drug addict, I'm commenting to back up everything Crim is saying here.
I'll reiterate here also what I've said in other posts:
1. I'm on a larger dose of Adderall than most people because of my specific circumstances. I do experience more significant side effects because of that, and I do get adverse effects from not taking it regularly. Partially because of thr high dose, partially because I have (what I've heard to referred to as) "chronic dependence," and/or "reward deficiency syndrome." My brain can't like, process dopamine correctly. So, to an extent, the type of ADHD meds and the amount could potentially explain some of what she's experiencing.
--> SOME.<--
2. With that said, there is a distinct difference between being "high" on uppers and taking uppers as medically prescribed to treat symptoms of a mental health issue. To me, out of pure conjecture (but as someone who abused uppers, among other substances in the past) Lily is displaying behaviors of someone HIGH on uppers. For comparison, despite the high dose I'm on, I can, will and do on my days off, take my Adderall and fall right back asleep. It DOES NOT keep me awake, get me up, make me start bouncing off the walls, etc. It just keeps me from wanting to rip my own face off out of a desperate longing for sufficient mental stimulation so I can be functional.
3. In light of recent posts, what Lily may be doing is "saving" her pills up to take "during her work days," taking multiple doses in one sitting/throughout the day. Lily may be rendering the medication in a manner that bypasses the slow-release functions and taking it in a way not medically advised. Even prescribed a smaller dose, doing any of that would cause her much more severe come downs.
The one thing I will add though, again, based on my personal experience: is that, despite being a controlled substance, I think it's more likely Lily was """"legitimately"""" prescribed Adderall. Or at the very least, it's more likely that she got ahold of a fake prescription than it is for her to have gotten ahold of the drugs THEMSELVES illegitimately.
Chronic substance abuse of shit you're not supposed to have is WAY more expensive than people think it is, and it's just way easier to abuse meds you have some kind of "legitimate" access to. It's easier to casually steal someone else's prescription (if you have access to their living space) than it is to buy it from a plug. It's easier to go doctor shopping until you find one that will give you what you're after than buy from a plug. If the circumstance presents itself, it's easier to get your hands on a bogus prescription than it is to buy from a plug. Cheaper, more accessible.
It depends on the substance-- and like, if you bring prescriptions for the magic 3, or the triforce, or the holy trinity (whatever the local street name is in your area for that popular drug cocktail-- if you know you know. If you don't I'm not telling you) all at once to the same pharmacist you're going to get dinged-- but.
Let's just say, you would be surprised what kinds of stunts you can pull game the system-- controlled substance or no. I'm not going to get more specific, sorry. You're going to have to just trust me, and all be good beans and never do any of that shit yourself--
Heed my warnings, it is not fucking worth it.
My hypothesis is currently this:
Lily "struggling to get a pharmacist to fill her prescription because of the Adderall shortage" was her struggling to find a doctor WHO WOULD give her a prescription, because she was doctor shopping. She found one and either convinced them to give her a ridiculously high dose, or she is hoarding her pills to take in big doses to get high. She may not actually have ADHD, or she may be on the wrong type for her specific needs as a person with ADHD.
She indicated several times that she was specifically looking for Adderall, and use it for "benefits" that Adderall is NOT supposed to treat.
Who knows for sure, but that my ex-druggie opinion.
Now for some good ol' Fashion Crim Fact Checking.
As you may know, Lily/CD-Call and I have many things in common. We both live in Halifax Nova Scotia, we're both trans, we're the exact same age, and, it seems, we both have ADHD that we both started getting medicated for again earlier this year. Honestly the coincidences weird me out a little but if you've been paying attention you might know some things.
Tumblr media
This is a weird post. I can think of one of two situations. 1: the dose is too high and she's crashing. 2: glasses effect. (People that start wearing glasses tend to notice their blurry vision more now that they know what it's like to see properly.)
Never in my life would I suspect this.
Tumblr media
For one thing no ADHD medication should do that if you're taking it properly. IE, you take your scheduled dose, and it wears off within the next few hours, and you have at least 12 hours break from the chemical being active in your body. That's how these drugs are meant to be taken. Sometimes, patients will be prescribed in such a way that they only take their medication Monday through Friday and let their bodies rest on weekends. This tends to be the case for younger people, for people worried about things like heart conditions, and other considerations. You should only do this upon instruction of a Doctor or pharmacist. And obviously, skipping a day by accident won't cause negative side effects. You'll just be your regular unmedicated self.
That being said something isn't adding up here. To my knowledge an experience, since ADHD medications are a controlled substance, there is a mandatory meeting with your pharmacist once you pick up the prescription for the first time. I was on concerta several years ago, and got re-prescribed in January. They still made me do the meeting this time even though I've been on it before. They tell you how to take it, what side effects to expect, and make safety plans to avoid an eating disorder developing or potentially developing a heart condition. Doctors and Pharmacists don't fuck around with controlled substances.
But Lily apparently didn't have that *mandatory* talk. Suspicious.
Moreover, Lily had many complaints about how hard it was to get on Adderall. Because of shortages or whatever. for me, I went in to see my doctor and got my prescription filled the next day. Suspicious.
She has also been... Shall we say, high-strung, more so than usual, since she started taking them. She's spoken at length about abusing them to lose weight.
Here is my opinion/theory. None of this is fact, I am not making any accusations. Just giving my opinion based on what I've seen.
I don't think Lily's prescription is legitimate. I think she got them from somewhere under the table, which is why it was so difficult to get them and why she is so uneducated about them. She got them from a dealer illegally.

Just found out Lily pretended to be her own dad on Reddit asking for advice about his daughter a good week before she accused Courtney of SA on stream. I’m still processing the level of manipulation and pure maliciousness going on here. She really just play tested her story to real victims to see if it was plausible enough to pass to her audience. Jesus fucking Christ.

Melodies, Memory, and a Mouse Click: How One Direction Became the Soundtrack of My Digital Childhood
Tumblr media
In 2012, I was a seven-year-old girl living in the warmth of an Indian household, where school uniforms, steel tiffin boxes, and summer vacations filled with board games were the core of everyday life. One ordinary afternoon, while sitting beside my cousin, I clicked on a YouTube video titled “What Makes You Beautiful.” That single click unknowingly introduced me to a band called One Direction—a name that would stay etched in my memory for years. Their songs quickly became part of my routine: echoing softly while I made greeting cards, humming along during power cuts, and playing quietly in the background as I rehearsed dance steps for school functions. Without me realizing it, One Direction became more than music—it became a part of the rhythm of my childhood.
A Digital Memory Lane Before smartphones became extensions of our hands and before reels flooded our screens, discovering content online felt magical. I still remember waiting for the internet to connect, the buffering circle spinning endlessly, and the excitement of finally watching a music video load. My One Direction phase wasn’t defined by social media trends or fandom edits but by playlists burned onto CDs and MP3 players borrowed from my father’s drawer. Their songs traveled with me—from my room to long car journeys—and marked milestones in my early years. It wasn’t about idolizing celebrities; it was about finding comfort in familiarity. The music stitched itself into the fabric of my growing-up years, becoming a quiet but constant companion.
Emotional Anchors in Digital Spaces In today’s academic discourse, digital communication is often evaluated through the lens of productivity, virality, and engagement. But in the quieter corners of the internet lie its emotional footprints—the small, personal interactions that shape our inner world. For me, One Direction’s music videos, behind-the-scenes clips, and even lyric slideshows on YouTube served as gentle emotional anchors. Their cheerful melodies uplifted my moods on dull days, while slower ballads comforted me in ways I couldn’t explain as a child. Psychologists now speak of how digital content can influence emotional development in children, and my story reflects that in the most subtle, lived way. That music taught me rhythm, English phrases, and above all, the feeling of calm in chaos.
A Bridge Across Time Even today, when I accidentally hear “Little Things” or “Story of My Life”, I’m transported back—not to a concert or an award show, but to my study table, my childhood bedroom, and to the smell of freshly sharpened pencils. Digital memories are powerful that way—they create time capsules of emotion. As I step into adulthood and deeper into the academic study of digital communication, I realise that some of the strongest digital imprints are not in data analytics or AI trends, but in the songs that played softly in the background of our lives.
Conclusion: In the grand world of digital communication, it’s easy to focus on innovation and metrics. But sometimes, it’s important to acknowledge the deeply personal side of the digital age—how a simple YouTube video can spark a lifelong memory, how music can wrap around a childhood like a warm blanket. My One Direction phase was not a fandom frenzy, but a quiet chapter in my story—a reminder that behind every click, stream, and download, there often lies something far more human: comfort, connection, and a sense of home.

Lily on stream later: "Known evil woman hater Anthony Gramuglia calls femoids he hates so much he wants to fuck 'Karens,' a historically oppressive slur dating all the way back to the Danes and the Greeks. You know what it means, chat!? 'Pure and innocent!' ANT CONFIRMED CHILD DIDDLER!!"
Tumblr media Tumblr media

Sonic Adventure (Dreamcast) Sonic Part 3: Careful redesigning
Twinkle Park is a bit like Ice Cap, but also a bit better
The go kart ride is better than the snowboard in my opinion because it’s a bit more involved controls-wise and you cam actually get damaged here, so you’re at least a bit incentivized to actually dodge here
The actual level is nothing to write home about, mostly platform heavy like the first half of Ice Cap, but a bit meatier
And now from this point on Sonic’s story is smooth sailing
Got nothing to really say about Speed Highway, it’s great, I just wish it were a bit longer, the level seems to end early due to the last part being Knuckles’ section which...isn’t really a Sonic level
This is why I prefer Red Mountain, it’s a bit better paced in terms of content and has quite a few great hidden secrets...plus some weird kinda ghostly prisoners which I guess must’ve pissed Knuckles off something fierce given that we’re on Angel Island
Now I wanted to talk about another contentious issue regarding SA1, one that has always been at the center of SA1 discourse
The redesigns
They’re great
Ok look: I think that older fans have a point: SA1 marked in many ways too much of a departure from the classics in terms of gameplay structure, storytelling and even music, so to top it all off with different designs doesn’t exactly help people to ease in
Plus these designs have a distinctly different feel: the Classic designs were...well classic in the purest sense, they were largely inspired by the aesthetics of Felix the Cat and the like and so lent themselves perfectly to the bright and abstract worlds of most Classic games. The modern designs are sleeker, a bit more detailed, especially in Uekawa’s original artstyle they gave more of a late 90s graffity style vibe rather than those of a classic cartoon, which lent them more to the more grounded though still colorful vibes of the post SA1 games
So they both have their unique strengths, which meant that if you’re into Sonic because you really valued that specific aesthetic of Sonic 1,2,CD etc then you’re justified not to vibe with modern Sonic, which goes for a bit of a different feel
That said I’ve always thought that folks were super exaggerated when it came to criticizing the redesigns. People calling them a disgrace or even “unrecognizable”. That last one I actually saw with my own eyes once. Unrecognizable. Really?
Because if you ask me these redesigns should be used as an example on how to do character redesigns, because despite their different looks and vibes they are still absolutely, unmistakenly the same characters as the classics, and this is something that not all videogame redesigns have pulled off
Look at Castlevania after Symphony of the Night, many of the designs made by artist Ayami Kojima, while good on their own grounds....are not redesigns. They are completely different characters physically. Alucard looks nothing like his original Castlevania 3 self and the Belmonts completely change their styles of clothing from conan the barbarian-esque muscle bound warriors, to elegant bishonen hunters. You would never be able to recognize Kojima’s Simon or Trevor as their original counterparts if the games didn’t outright tell you
But with Sonic? Sonic himself is literally the same as before, only taller, with longer proportions, green eyes (the horror) and slightly more detailed sneakers. Every other key design element is kept, from the color scheme, to the number and position of the quills, the gloves etc. It is 100%, unmistakenly Sonic the Hedgehog and the same goes for the rest of the cast
The only 2 exceptions, in part, are Amy and Eggman
Amy looks really different from her classic self.....which I prefer. Sorry guys, but I was never crazy about female, pink Sonic with a little dress. Amy here has much more of her unique visual identity. At worst she’s got less color variation, being predominantly pink and red, but that’s a small price to pay in my eyes
Eggman I’m more mixed about. It’s a good design and still very much Eggman, but unlike the other characters this design is noticeably less simple and much busier, what with the extra detail and buttons on the vest, the extra goggles that he almost never uses etc. It’s a much starker contrast to the simplicity of Classic Eggman, who was also much simpler and rounder in overall design, while modern Eggman looks way more vertically developed. It’s still good, I just think it’s walking a bit of a line here
What I love about these designs is that, while they may have been made to fit a cooler, more serious tone in response to Sonic gaining more and more of a reputation as a cutesy mascot (which by itself is a questionable logic to me, the Classic designs worked rather well in the likes of the Bad Futures and even the OVA, so they still could’ve worked in this context probably), these designs can still work really well in more classic oriented aesthetics, like Heroes, the Advance games or Colors
Honestly the only thing I don’t much like about the redesigns...isn’t actually anything to do with the designs themselves or een Uekawa’s work, but more the way that they were presented in the early years
I love and have lots of nostalgia for Uekawa’s art, but I’ve never liked how in the Adventure games (plus Heroes if we wanna count that) the characters looked like they were...forcing themselves to look cool, Sonic especially
Tumblr media
I know that this is gonna be blasphemous, but I really don’t like how some of the artwork puts Sonic (and sometimes other characters too) in extreme, “coolish” poses. One of the fundamental aspects of Sonic’s presentation, in my eyes, is that Sonic is supposed to be effortlessly cool
Tumblr media
When you look at pretty much any classic artwork, not to mention the Sonic CD cutscenes, Sonic typically has a relaxed, smiling expression that he does while striking a pose or doing something cool. This characterizes him as a laid back character, who can spring into action to do cool stunts without even breaking a sweat, though also with a goofy side to him. That’s exactly how he’s represented in Sonic CD’s cutscenes. Hell, it’s how he’s written in this very game! But by presenting him in artwork as always giving mischievous grins and striking more dynamic and dramatic poses you run the risk of giving the idea that he’s just your typical adrenaline junkie who’s trying really really hard to impress the folks at hime with his stunts....which funnily enough aligns with the version of Sonic presented by Sega of America, oops!
Again: it’s a matter of this early presentation, not the designs themselves, as by the time the Advance games rolled around, Sonic and the gang started getting represented in a way that’s much closer to the classics, while still maintaining that specifically modern edge and vibrancy.
Tumblr media
Nowadays I actually really do enjoy Uekawa’s more recent artstyle...I just wished it was used in the actual games instead of using 3D models for cover art and promotional stuff, which is an issue that is widespread in games nowadays, as I believe that 3D art, while effective, can be a lot more hit or miss than traditional 2D art. Just saying that covers like those of Colors, Generations and Frontiers are decent, but they could’ve worked so much better as 2D drawings if you ask me, but that’s just my 2 cents

(anon)
PT stans, what is your definition of Stalking? genuinely asking.
Blog, Thetepes, what is your definition of stalking? its a good idea to know what each ''side'' is talking about for things that can have range in definition
(saw your other anon, I know you're referring to me np)
I'm just going to define what I mean by two terms, stalking and also harrassment since thats what all the angry Patricia fans accuse me of
When I say harrassment, I most often mean directly insulting or attacking someone in a way that is meant to be noticed by them. This could be done via reblogs, asks, messages or anons. Now harrassment can also be defaming, insulting or spreading missinformation about someone over posts/asks/anons that arent neccessarily made to be seen.
Now I know that this is where all the Patricia stans will jump out of the woodwork and accuse me of harrassment by definition. However, I am not spreading missinformation. I very clearly go off what Patricia herself says and always provide screenshots. Its not my fault Patricia said being abused and having weird notions is part of being queer/autistic, and me saying that she did with screenshots clearly showing she did isnt harrassment.
Now, stalking in my personal opinion would be commenting on literally everything Patricia says, digging into and dissecting even her smallest comments, keeping track of any of her online activities or changes to her account, that sort of thing. Again, I'm not doing that. I only talk about what she's saying when its a post directly related to the discourse. I dont dissect her posts about tetris to make some grand statement about her as a person. That would be stalker behaviour.
I know this wont get the angry anons to stop yelling "Stalker! Harrassment!", but I felt like anon here deserved a thourough answer, and so that anyone else knows what I consider stalking and harrassment, since these terms are often thrown around in crit spaces.
All of what I just said applies to my coverage of Lily Orchard/CD-Call as well.

I watched the better call saul prequel cartoon series "Slippin Jimmy" a while ago. It's an extremely hard show to review in that it's not really a show. Or at least, the show isn't the primary piece of media that the audience is supposed to be engaging with. Because the purpose of Slippin Jimmy, as a property, is to generate discourse on social media which will then point more eyes towards AMC+, because Slippin Jimmy is on AMC+ exclusively. And what you're supposed to do, in an ideal world, is post a lot about how tonally and thematically dissonant SJ is to the rest of the breaking bad universe, and then get an AMC+ account and watch it "for the meme".
And then, you're supposed to turn it off halfway through episode one and look at what else AMC+ has to offer, and watch one of those. It's a marketing gimmick and publicity stunt, these aren't new concepts. But, crucially, this one is different because Slippin Jimmy isn't a hoax, you can watch SJ if you really wanted to, the entertainment equivalent of a gag gift, but it's still fake! It's an ancillary piece of media to the much larger main piece of media, which is more akin to an ARG in structure, and which is completely free, and which you're not supposed to even know you're consuming. SlipJim doesn't really have jokes, it has the ideas of jokes-- so like, someone will smell a fart and say "P.U.!", which is more of a joke-style statement than a joke.
How does one define SliJi?. It's not a show, it's more like a commercial for a social media ad campaign. But how can piece of media that's purely for advertisement (the social media presence) take precedence over a long-form television show with an actual story (ie Slippin J)? And yet the quote tweet tab for the trailer has more eyes on it than the show, doesn't it? Is the "main thing" the streaming service? Boundaries between product, advertisement and art start to blur. I start to think-- how much money is my time and attention worth, really? CDs of popular TV shows sell really well, even though the only real difference is they don't have commercials. That's a little like something for nothing, isn't it? If you watch the show on tv or an ad-based streamer, you're basically selling the act of watching an ad in exchange for the money you'd otherwise spend on the CD copy, You know? Am I making sense? "Ad campaign" doesn't really cover what's happening on twitter. Brand-induced social media shitstorms are a kind of entertainment medium, and we don't recognize them as one because we're not even supposed to piece together that they exist.
I rate Slippin Jimmy [NULL VALUE] stars out of Five.

Gonna be real with you all… that post I made about Drarry started some unwanted discourse that defeated the whole purpose of that post.
“You can’t ship drarry because the REAL reason JK hates it is cause he’s a racist/bully!”
Dude when did I say any of that? Also BOY do I have some information for you that your not gonna like about JK
“Shipping canon drarry is toxic!”
Again… where are the askers?
“Don’t spread this misinformation!”
Okay, I’m gonna stop you right there and ask you to take a step back. JK Rowling has been confirmed to be a terf, racist, and general horrible human being for a long time now. Trying to “um actually” me in a post that was encouraging the fandom to keep making what they like and ignoring the creator by making everyone of her hated tropes fanon is not helping anyone or yourself.
I’m of the opinion that drarry functions as a ship so long as Draco himself gets the character development he so obviously was deprived of. (I’m also of the opinion that that CD needs to be beaten into his skull brutally before his true self can even come out but I digress)
You can dislike the ship all you want but calling it “toxic” just because of canon will not give you browny points here. Canon can go suck an egg.
To reiterate my point for people who seem to ignore it: JK Rowling hates drarry not because it’s “not healthy” but because of what it represents, which is a legitimate gay relationship between her protagonist and a character she beat into the ground.
Flawed characters are interesting because they are flawed.
A relationship is interesting in a story because of the potential that it brings to the story.
So again: make your trans characters, make your poc Harry and Hermione, make your marauders drip the rainbow (forgot to include them last time whoops), because the garbage human being who made our childhoods is mad about it.
That’s all.

As far as I know I was the only person in the "Lily crit" sphere that had also read Concrete Garden.
I've openly talked about being a fan of extreme cinema and extreme horror lit. I'm a horror artist. Potentially soon a horror author.
I have actually read, watched or played more or less every bit of dark media Lily has ever mentioned (with the exeption of Mouthwash, currently, only because I want to experience it myself. Need to get around to playing it.)
To the point I can say with certainy:
Most of Lily's "dark fiction" diet is honestly like, mid disturbing at most.
Almost all of it (and I mean like, 95% of it) she's described as enjoying has incest in it.
Yeah, Lily, you know, I've sat through Mondo films, shockumentaries, the bottom of the depravity barrel grindhouse and indie artsy sufferfests-- I have not made it through a single piece of creative writing Lily has produced. And I very much do feel like that says something.
The Vomit Gore trilogy is ALSO very obviously a product of someone wanting to subject everyone to their poorly disguises fetishes. Someone who, much later, was ALSO revealed to be a predator. Yet, despite that, I still can't really say I don't enjoy those films. Some of it is probably nostalgia. I watched those films at a very formative time in my life.
They're not even really GOOD films-- but they were my introduction to the genre of extreme cinema. And, like-- they are extremely disturbing.
Yet I couldn't fucking stomach pokemadhouse. That's not wholesome light fluffy happy shit, Lily. That's someone very obviously trying to justify abuse through fiction.
Lucifer fucking Valentine titled a movie "Black Mass of the Nazi Sex Wizard" and used his notoriety to groom teenage girls. He is categorically a bad person and a hack director. BUT AT LEAST HIS FUCKING MOVIES AREN'T LAMPSHADING THEY ARE AS AWFUL AS THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE YOU FEEL.
Lily's work is some of the most disturbing shit I've ever been exposed to (in the not fun way) because she is trying JUST SO HARD in text to convince you it's not.

This post was to funny not to make a dumb edit
Anyways below here I blow my top this week:
Now CD, honey, the current deluge of random fanfiction you post to your Ao3 account, in before complaining about Ao3 because you aren't the fucking main character there and aren't getting the clicks you need for dopamine is not why you are criticized or why people tell you they do not believe you have good intentions when making super duper sweetnsnuggly siblings
This fanfiction is
These games are
This video and the allegations within
youtube
With nary a hint of apology or regret, just insane levels of denial and cope all while using the trans flag as a bulwark against actual evidence backed critisism
Treating any minority label or identifier as a reason you can't be criticized is toxic to the community and only breeds the worst kind of people using it as shield for their terrible behavior when all people should be held accountable to the same level
