The Power of Astrology in Finding Your Soulmate
Astrology has long been a guiding light for those seeking to understand themselves and their relationships better. By exploring the celestial influences on our personalities and behaviors, we can uncover insights that lead us to our ideal partners. Astrology provides a roadmap for navigating the complexities of human connection, helping us align with those who complement our true selves.
Role of Astrology in Relationships
Astrology plays a pivotal role in relationships by offering a framework to understand compatibility and dynamics. When we delve into astrological charts, we unlock a treasure trove of information about how we interact with others. This knowledge can be transformative, especially when it comes to finding a soulmate. By recognizing the strengths and challenges of each zodiac sign, we can approach relationships with greater awareness and empathy.
Most importantly, astrology encourages self-reflection. It prompts us to look inward and identify our desires and needs in a partner. This self-awareness is crucial for forming meaningful connections that stand the test of time.
Zodiac Influence on Personality and Compatibility
Each zodiac sign carries distinct characteristics that influence personality and compatibility. Understanding these traits can help us identify the types of individuals we naturally resonate with. For example, a fiery Aries might be drawn to someone who matches their enthusiasm and zest for life, while a grounded Capricorn may seek a partner who offers stability and practicality.
Besides that, the elements—fire, earth, air, and water—play a significant role in determining compatibility. Fire signs are known for their passion and energy, earth signs for their reliability and pragmatism, air signs for their intellect and communication skills, and water signs for their emotional depth and intuition.
How Astrology Guides Soulmate Discovery
Astrology guides us in discovering our soulmate by highlighting key traits and compatibilities. By analyzing our natal charts, we can identify the planetary influences that shape our romantic inclinations. Venus and Mars, for example, are crucial indicators of love and attraction in astrology. Their positions in our charts reveal how we express affection and what we find appealing in others.
Moreover, synastry—comparing two individuals' charts—offers insights into how their energies interact. This technique is invaluable for assessing the potential for harmony and understanding in a relationship. By considering these astrological factors, we can make informed decisions about our romantic pursuits and increase the likelihood of finding a truly compatible partner.
Key Traits of An Ideal Partner Based on Zodiac Signs
Each zodiac sign has unique qualities that define what they seek in a partner. By understanding these traits, we can better align ourselves with individuals who complement our astrological profile.
Fire Signs: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Fire signs are known for their passion, enthusiasm, and adventurous spirit. Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius thrive on excitement and are drawn to partners who share their zest for life. They value independence and are attracted to individuals who can keep up with their dynamic energy.
Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, is a natural leader who seeks a partner that can match their ambition and drive. Leo, ruled by the sun, craves attention and adoration, making them drawn to partners who appreciate their charisma and creativity. Sagittarius, the wanderer of the zodiac, desires freedom and exploration, preferring partners who are open-minded and willing to embark on new adventures.
Water Signs: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
Water signs are deeply emotional and intuitive, often seeking profound connections with their partners. Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces are known for their sensitivity and empathy, making them naturally attuned to the needs and feelings of others. They value emotional security and are drawn to partners who can provide a safe and nurturing environment.
Cancer, ruled by the moon, is the nurturer of the zodiac. They seek partners who can appreciate their caring nature and offer the same level of devotion in return. Scorpio, with its intense and passionate nature, desires deep emotional bonds and is attracted to partners who are equally committed and loyal. Pisces, the dreamer, looks for a soulmate who can understand their creative and spiritual inclinations, providing a compassionate and supportive presence.
Cancer: Values emotional security and nurturing.
Scorpio: Seeks deep emotional bonds and loyalty.
Pisces: Desires a compassionate and understanding partner.
Water signs thrive in relationships where emotional depth and mutual understanding are prioritized. They are highly intuitive and can often sense the needs of their partners, making them ideal companions for those seeking meaningful and lasting connections.
To attract a water sign, it's essential to be open and honest about your feelings. They appreciate authenticity and are drawn to individuals who can express their emotions freely. Being supportive and empathetic will help you build a strong and lasting bond with a water sign partner.
Steps to Manifest Your Soulmate Using Astrology
Manifesting your soulmate using astrology involves aligning your intentions with the cosmic energies that influence your love life. By understanding your astrological profile and clarifying your desires, you can attract a partner who resonates with your true self.
The journey to manifesting your soulmate begins with self-awareness and intention setting. By focusing on what you truly desire in a partner, you can align yourself with the universe's energies and draw your ideal match into your life.
Identifying Your Astrological Profile
The first step in manifesting your soulmate is understanding your astrological profile. This involves analyzing your natal chart to identify key influences on your personality and relationship preferences. Your sun sign, moon sign, and rising sign all play significant roles in shaping your romantic inclinations.
By exploring these aspects of your chart, you can gain insights into your natural tendencies and what you seek in a partner. For example, your Venus sign reveals how you express love and what you find attractive, while your Mars sign indicates your desires and how you pursue relationships.
Clarifying Desired Traits in a Partner
Once you understand your astrological profile, it's essential to clarify the traits you desire in a partner. Consider the qualities that align with your values and complement your personality. This clarity will help you focus your energy on attracting the right person.
Aligning Yourself for Attraction
To manifest your soulmate, you must align yourself with the energy you wish to attract. This involves cultivating the qualities you seek in a partner within yourself. By embodying these traits, you become a magnet for individuals who resonate with your energy.
Additionally, maintaining a positive and open mindset is crucial for attraction. Let go of past negative experiences and focus on the possibilities of the future. Trust that the universe will guide you to your ideal match when the time is right.
Affirmations and Visualization Techniques
Affirmations and visualization techniques are powerful tools for manifesting your soulmate. By repeating positive affirmations, you reinforce your intentions and align your subconscious mind with your desires. Visualization allows you to create a mental image of your ideal relationship, making it more tangible and attainable. For more insights, explore how to manifest your soulmate based on your zodiac.
Practice these techniques regularly to strengthen your manifestation efforts. Visualize yourself in a loving and fulfilling relationship, and feel the emotions associated with this experience. The more vividly you imagine your desired outcome, the more likely it is to manifest in your reality.
Astrological Tools to Enhance Soulmate Manifestation
Several astrological tools can aid in the process of soulmate manifestation. By utilizing these resources, you can gain deeper insights into your relationships and enhance your ability to attract your ideal partner.
Natal Chart Analysis
Your natal chart is a map of the sky at the moment of your birth, providing valuable information about your personality and relationship dynamics. By analyzing your chart, you can identify key influences that shape your love life and guide your soulmate search.
Focus on the positions of Venus and Mars, as they reveal your romantic inclinations and desires. Additionally, examine the aspects between planets to understand how different energies interact in your relationships.
Working with an experienced astrologer can provide further insights and guidance. They can help you interpret your chart and identify patterns that influence your romantic experiences.
Transits and Synastry
Transits refer to the current positions of planets in relation to your natal chart. These movements can trigger events and shifts in your love life, providing opportunities for growth and connection.
Synastry involves comparing two individuals' charts to assess compatibility and relationship dynamics. By examining how your planets interact with those of a potential partner, you can gain insights into the strengths and challenges of the relationship.
Role of Venus and Mars in Love
Venus and Mars are two of the most influential planets in astrology when it comes to love and relationships. Venus governs how we express love and what we find beautiful and desirable. It reflects our romantic inclinations and preferences in a partner. For instance, if Venus is in Libra in your chart, you might be drawn to harmonious and balanced relationships. Mars, on the other hand, represents our desires and the way we pursue love. It signifies passion, drive, and the actions we take in relationships. Understanding the placements of Venus and Mars in your chart can provide valuable insights into your romantic dynamics and compatibility.

Frequently Asked Questions
Astrology can be a powerful tool for understanding love and relationships, but it often raises questions for those new to its concepts. Here are some common questions and answers to help clarify the role of astrology in soulmate manifestation.
What is a natal chart and how does it help in finding a soulmate?
A natal chart, also known as a birth chart, is a map of the sky at the moment of your birth. It provides a detailed snapshot of the positions of planets and their influence on your personality and life path. By analyzing your natal chart, you can gain insights into your romantic inclinations and compatibility with potential partners.
The natal chart highlights the positions of key planets like Venus and Mars, which govern love and attraction. Understanding these placements can help you identify the qualities you seek in a partner and how you express love. This self-awareness is crucial for attracting a soulmate who resonates with your true self.
Can astrology predict the timing of meeting a soulmate?
While astrology can provide insights into potential periods of romantic opportunity, it does not offer precise predictions about the timing of meeting a soulmate. Transits and progressions can indicate favorable times for love and connection, but free will and personal choices also play significant roles in shaping our experiences.
How accurate is astrology in determining soulmate compatibility?
Astrology offers valuable insights into compatibility by analyzing the interactions between two individuals' charts. Synastry, the study of these interactions, can reveal strengths and challenges in a relationship. However, it's important to remember that astrology is just one tool among many. Personal growth, communication, and shared values are equally important factors in determining compatibility.
Example: A couple with strong Venus-Mars synastry may experience intense attraction and passion, but without mutual respect and understanding, the relationship may face challenges. Astrology can highlight potential areas of harmony and conflict, guiding partners toward deeper connection.
Ultimately, the accuracy of astrology in determining soulmate compatibility depends on how well it is integrated with personal experiences and insights.
What role do rising signs play in relationships?
The rising sign, also known as the ascendant, represents the persona you present to the world. It influences first impressions and how you interact with others. In relationships, the rising sign can affect how you approach love and partnership, shaping the dynamics of your interactions.
Are there other ways to find a soulmate besides astrology?
Yes, there are many ways to find a soulmate beyond astrology. Personal growth, self-awareness, and open communication are key components of building meaningful connections. Engaging in activities that align with your interests and values can also lead you to like-minded individuals.
While astrology provides valuable insights, it's important to remain open to various avenues for finding love. Trust your intuition, embrace new experiences, and allow the universe to guide you toward your ideal partner.
In conclusion, astrology is a powerful tool for understanding love and relationships. By exploring the celestial influences on our personalities, we can gain insights that lead us to our ideal partners. Embrace the wisdom of astrology, and let it guide you on your journey to finding a soulmate.

Tumblr media

warnings: slight angst, reader being a bit delulu
*also disclaimer that I am no expert in astrology and my knowledge is usually what I gathered from friends or tiktok so if I'm wrong, please correct me but do it nicely pls bc I am sensitive lol*
a/n: I wasn't sure whether to include Az or not in the pairing but I liked the idea of leaving this fic up to your interpretation. Anyway, happy reading! <3
Tumblr media
As you entered the Night Court’s observatory, you traced your fingers along the edge of the great celestial map laid before you. You could feel the soft hum of magic beneath your fingertips, still smell the faintest hint of sage–a remnant of your father’s last ritual here. For centuries, your father has served as the Night Court’s astrologer. He’s guided and advised High Lord Rhysand and on occasion, Keir, the steward of the Court of Nightmares.
Above you, constellations and planets danced across the domed ceiling, the stars gleaming as though they were ready to whisper secrets just for you. You took a deep breath, centering yourself, and placed a palm flat against the massive zodiac wheel etched onto the floor. It began to glow, a warm golden light tracing symbols of the zodiacs and planets.
“Stars above and stars below, reveal the path I seek to know,” you quietly murmured.
The markings on the wheel shifted in response, aligning and realigning with clicking sounds, the warm golden light following. Then, your own chart had appeared, shimmering above you. It was a translucent web of stars and planets connected by silvery lines. You’ve read your birth chart many times, become so familiar with it that you knew it by heart even.
But tonight, you needed the extra reassurance. So you looked up, watching as the planets moved slowly. Your heartbeat a little faster as you spotted Jupiter making transit through your seventh house. The promise of growth, abundance, luck and most important of all, love filled the air.
You slipped a small vial from the hidden pocket of your cobalt blue dress. The words Love Potion No.9 gleamed on the glass, the dark red liquid swirling. It was the enchanted perfume you’d bought from a witch last week—a little love potion designed to make you irresistibly alluring to your soulmate.
You felt a bit foolish, seeking a witch for guidance on love of all matters. Witches were frowned upon in the Court of Nightmares, after all. But impatience had finally nudged you to venture beyond the court’s dark mountain and into the surrounding forests, in search of someone who could help.
“Seek the one who walks between light and shadow with a mask of cool indifference, where fire meets the edge of night. There your heart shall find its match,” she had told you as she handed you the enchanted perfume.
Her words had only confirmed what you had been suspecting for years, centuries even.
Azriel was your soulmate.
Azriel, the very embodiment of cool indifference, wore a mask of stoicism in the Court of Nightmares, just as High Lord Rhysand did. But his hazel eyes always seemed to burn with a hidden fire. And when you were alone with him, away from the cold nobility of the Night Court, Azriel would let that mask slip, revealing a kinder side that laughed and smiled with you. He was your friend and not only did he literally walk among shadows, he wielded them. It had to be him!
And then, there was your birth chart. Your seventh house lay in Taurus—a sign ruled by Venus. With Venus positioned in your twelfth house, everything pointed to the idea that your future soulmate would bring your happiness and pleasure. And since you met Azriel all those years ago during a counseling your father led, happiness had been an emotion you'd grown more familiar with.
The stars couldn’t have given you a clearer message!
**
There was a flutter in your stomach as you approached Azriel. The two of you had been stealing glances at one another, as you usually did anytime you found yourselves in the same place. He looked as beautiful as ever. As dreamy as ever.
Though your High Lord and High Lady had moved to the center of the ballroom for a dance, he had stayed by the dais. “Hello,” you greeted him with a small smile.
Azriel turned to you, that mask of his slipping for just a brief moment to smile back at you. He took the extra wine glass in your hold, murmuring a small thanks. He turned his head back to the dance floor, attentive to his High Lady’s whereabouts. But he shifted closer to you, the coolness of his shadows caressing your bare arm and you couldn’t help but wonder if the perfume was working.
“You look nice,” he commented.
“Thanks.” A blush rose to your cheeks. You’d taken care to match your dress to the exact shade of his siphons. And he noticed. “So do you.”
“I wear this all the time.” Azriel replied drily, referring to his usual Illyrian leathers.
“Yeah, I know.” You cursed yourself inwardly for the awkward response, then shifted closer, leaning toward him. “Do I smell to you?”
Azriel paused, his shadows brushing close, as if curious themselves. “No,” he said after a moment.
“Oh.” Disappointment seeped into your voice despite your best efforts, and his gaze shifted to you, a hint of a frown in his brows.
“Do you want to smell?”
There’s a teasing edge to his tone, a subtle quirk of his lips. You shook your head, letting out a small, nervous laugh. "No. I just wanted to know if I smelled any…different…,” and then, in a much quieter tone, you murmured, “to you.”
Azriel considered your words. He looked to you in what seemed like permission. You gave a nod of your head and he leaned in, his warm breath sending a shiver down your spine. “You smell the same to me.” At the breath you let out, he quickly added: “which is good by the way. You smell nice.”
“Oh, okay,” you smile, albeit a bit awkwardly, the flutter you had felt in your stomach earlier twisting into a knot.
“Y/n, is everything alright?” Azriel asked softly.
“Yeah, I just thought—” You stopped, not sure how to explain without sounding foolish. It wasn’t like you could admit to feeling disappointed over the lack of reaction from an enchanted perfume you’d spent quite a fortune on. Especially when he was the sole purpose for it. Had the witch scammed you?
Azriel waited for you patiently, concern flashing in his eyes. Maybe the perfume hadn’t worked, but the stars and planets had never led you astray. That still had to mean something, right?
“I’m fine.” You finally said.
“Are you sure?”
The way he was looking at you had warmth creeping up your neck and settling deeper in your cheeks. “Yeah.”
A single shadow curled around Azriel’s ear and in the blink of an eye, his head turned. Your gaze followed his, to where Rhysand and Feyre were standing. Rhysand sent him a slight nod and with a sigh, Azriel returned it.
“Sorry, I have to go.” Azriel said, quickly downing the remaining wine from his glass.
You held out your hand, offering to take it for him.
“Thank you. I’ll be back. Don’t have too much fun without me, alright?”
“I’ll try not to,” you replied.
You watched Azriel disappear into his shadows before turning away from the dais and making your way to the refreshments table. You were eager for a refill on your glass. Perhaps a little more wine would help ease the sting of disappointment. But he’d said he’d be back, hadn’t he?
As you scanned the room, you noticed your father in conversation with one of Keir’s sons and your mother eyeing potential suitors for your older brother. As an elite warrior of the Darkbringers, he had no shortage of admirers, and it was only a matter of time before your mother secured him a match—perfect or not.
You suspected you’d be next on her matchmaking list, so you busied yourself with small talk among familiar ladies. Conversations were always a mind-numbing, the ladies your age exchanging beauty tips that centered around the male’s eye or fawning over this season’s most eligible males. Which this season just so happens to be your brother. Gross. If only they knew him the way you did….
Second to him was Bret—or some equally uninspiring name. A Scorpio, of all things, which clashed miserably with your chart. Not that it mattered. You had no interest in any noble of the Court of Nightmares. Or any male here. Most, if not all, were cruel and narcissists, only viewing females as child bearers and nothing more.
There was a reason why this court was burdened with the title “Nightmares.”  And to marry someone from here would mean never waking up from this darkness. No stars to light your night skies, only endless shadow and despair.
So, you’d taken fate into your own hands. You’d turned to your birth chart, hoping the stars would lead you somewhere beyond Hewn City, beyond this never-ending nightmare. And they had. They led you to believe it was Azriel. Azriel, who was not only honorable and single but also, technically, part of the Court of Dreams. He’d been your friend for centuries, seeing you for who you are rather than an object or prize like most males here.
As you sneak away from the conversation, you bump into something–someone. Behind you, a deep voice huffed a low, mocking chuckle. “Easy there, librarian.”
You could recognize that voice anywhere, could recognize the heat radiating from him. It pressed down on you, leaving you simmering with irritation.
“I’m a libra, not a librarian.” You bit out. It hasn’t even been a minute and already you were exhausted by the searing presence behind you. “And besides, to you, it’s Lady Y/N.”
When you turned, you found Eris looming over you. His amber eyes gleamed with a familiar, infuriating mischief. He gave you that signature smirk of his, the one that made his sharp features all the more arrogant. “Such a harsh tone. Hardly fitting for a Lady.”
Your gaze hardened into a glare, only to have it stray toward a movement across the ballroom.  A flicker of shadow caught your attention, and your heart gave a small, hopeful jump as your gaze softened. There he was—Azriel.
He had returned to the ballroom…but he hadn’t returned to you…
Eris raised a glass to his lips, amber eyes flicking lazily between you and Azriel. “Disappointment doesn’t suit you.”
“I’m not disappointed.” You muttered hastily.
He gave a scoff, his smirk widening with dark amusement. “Please. I can practically feel it.”
“Liar,” you shot back.
“Azriel said he’d find me again and unlike you, he’s a male of his word,” you continued, not sure why you were telling Eris this. “He’s…”
Your words trailed off as you watched Azriel, who stood next to Nesta and Elain. He laughed–actually laughed!-- at something Elain had said, shadows absent from his frame as his focus remained solely on her. You couldn’t miss the soft smile playing on his lips, nor the warmth in his gaze. Did he do that with every female he knew? You thought he reserved that just for you…
The bubble in your chest slowly deflated.
“Keep dreaming,” Eris huffed out. He seemed to take special pleasure in your reaction. It prompted your cheeks to flush but this time, with irritation.
“Oh, go away, you prick,” you said, rolling your eyes. “You don’t understand.”
“Oh, wouldn’t I?" he replied, leaning closer, his sharp gaze burning into you. You missed the flash of longing in his amber eyes, too focused on Azriel. Or the way the words that had been on the tip of his tongue faltered as your scent suddenly overwhelmed him, his breath hitching slightly.
 "You smell.”
“Gee, thanks,” you mumbled absently.
“I didn’t mean it like that,” he said, his voice gruff and pupils flaring. “You smell different tonight…good...”
You blinked, barely processing his words. Was he actually being nice to you? In all the years you’ve known him, he’s always had snark remark after snark remark for you. The way it would roll smoothly off his tongue always left you wondering if he’d rehearse them for his visits to the Court of Nightmares.
You fidgeted, fingers grazing your wine glass as you cast a hesitant glance back at Azriel. Your chest tightened as he remained engrossed in conversation with Elain. Turn around, please. But he hadn’t even looked your way once.
Eris stepped in front of you, drawing your attention back to him. His gaze roamed over you, your dress. He took in the shade and he knew why you had chosen it–and for whom.  "You know," he said, his gaze lingering on your face.  "Red suits you far better.”
“And there he is, you’re back…”
"I’m serious. This—" He gestured to your gown with a slight grimace, his fingers brushing the silk fabric in disappointment. "This color washes you out. Red would bring out the color of your eyes…”
Your jaw clenched but you remained silent, refusing to admit that his words stirred something within you. Eris was insufferable, arrogant, and yet you couldn't deny his eye for detail. He, after all, was always dressed impeccably in the finest Autumn attire. But you would never give him the satisfaction of admitting he might be right.
His smirk widened, as if he knew exactly what you were thinking. “Do you want to know another thing?”
“No,” you said immediately.
But he leaned in anyway, his breath warm against your ear. “You’re hopelessly devoted to a male who doesn’t even look your way.”
Your mouth opened, brows furrowing in protest, but he went on. His smirk softened, fading into a half-smile. One that didn’t reach his eyes, dimming the fire that usually burned so brightly there. And then, in a much quieter, reluctant tone, he murmured, “And I am no different, it seems.”
"But…" You stammered, resisting the urge to steal another glance at Azriel. "He does look my way…sometimes.”
Eris’s smile faded, his expression tightening. A flicker of pain crossed his face. So brief, you almost thought you imagined it.  "You’re delusional.”
“And you’re insufferable.” You scoffed, heart pounding.
“Better than being a fool.”
The mocking tone was there but the usual sharpness had been softened by a strange, subtle sadness. Was this… pity?
You swallowed, lifting your chin defiantly. “The stars wouldn’t lie to me,” you said, though the conviction in your voice wavered. “He’s the one for me.”`
You met his eyes then and Eris held your gaze. His amber eyes warm and molten, the intensity of his stare prickling at your skin. An unsettling flutter erupted in your stomach, rising to your chest. A feeling you quickly dismissed when you felt something cool brush against your arm.
“Is he bothering you, y/n?”
Eris scoffed at the sudden presence beside you. It sickened him to see that sweet, adoring look on your face, the triumphant gleam in your eyes as you looked up at Azriel. The sight made Eris grit his teeth. His instincts roared at him, the fire in his veins was scorching.
You blinked, snapping out of your daze, realizing both males were waiting for your answer. “No,” you said but the way you shifted to stand behind Azriel said otherwise.
Azriel’s gaze hardened as he looked toward Eris. “Stay away from her,” he seethed.
A low growl rumbled from Eris’s chest as he took a step forward, his amber eyes flaring with rage. Though not as tall as Azriel, he seemed to tower over him at this moment. His teeth flashed as his lips curled into a snarl. “I do not take orders from bastards like you.”
Azriel’s wings tensed, threatening to unfurl and the movement of his shadows quickened. Like a storm ready to unfold. But before it could, you placed a hand on his arm. Right over one of his glowing siphons that seemed to be growing hotter and hotter, daring to match the fire coursing through Eris’s veins.
“Az, don’t,” you told him gently, not wanting to draw any attention to the three of you. You felt his muscles ease under your touch, his shadows brushing over your hand in agreement.
Eris’s gaze dropped to your hand on Azriel’s arm, his expression darkening into something unreadable. He exhaled sharply, turning his head as though trying to shake off whatever thought had crossed his mind.
When he looked back, his features had shifted into his usual cool mask, that infuriating smirk sliding back into place. He looked right at you.
“When you wake up from this deranged dream of yours, come find me.”
You watched him, feeling a strange, unwelcome tug in your chest as he turned to leave. Perhaps, one day you’d realize that the enchanted perfume you had bought was not a scam.
And that the male you searched through the stars and planets for was not the one standing beside you, but the one who’d just walked away.

a/n: sorry if you're not a libra, I just thought it'd be funny for Eris to purposely say reader's sign wrong as he knows astrology is a huge influence on her.

Place the candle in the center, surrounded by the howlite, sapphire (or lapis lazuli), and star anise. Set the bowl of soil or dried herbs nearby, along with your celestial map or astrology book. Position the owl or crow feather beside the candle as a representation of Stolas.
Invocation - Light the candle and the incense. Hold the owl/crow feather in one hand and the howlite in the other. Close your eyes, take deep breaths, and visualize a celestial owl with piercing eyes descending from the night sky. Chant,
"Stolas, Prince of wisdom vast,
Guide my mind and make knowledge last.
By feather, stone, and starry light,
Teach me your secrets deep as night.
By herb and crystal, earth and sky,
Open my mind, let wisdom fly!"
Pause, listening for any sensations, whispers, or impressions.
Tumblr media
Request for Knowledge - Hold the piece of paper with your question or intention. Pass it over the candle flame (carefully) or place it on the altar. Say,
"Prince Stolas, I seek your ancient lore,
In herbs, in crystals, in stars evermore.
Grant me wisdom, let my sight expand,
Teach me the secrets of nature’s hand."
Place the paper beneath the bowl of soil or dried herbs, symbolizing its planting in the realm of knowledge.
Absorbing the Wisdom - Pick up the howlite and hold it to your forehead (Third Eye Chakra). Visualize cosmic energy and nature’s wisdom flowing into your mind. Meditate on any insights, messages, or images you receive. If you feel called, use your astrology book, tarot deck, or scry into the candle flame to receive further guidance.
Closing - Thank Stolas for his presence and guidance,
"Prince of wisdom, I honor thee,
For the knowledge you have given me.
I walk the path with open sight,
Under stars and wisdom’s light."
Extinguish the candle, letting the smoke carry your gratitude. Keep the howlite as a talisman of wisdom, placing it under your pillow or on your altar. Bury the burned or written petition in soil (outdoors if possible) to allow the knowledge to take root and grow.
After the Ritual:
• Keep a journal of dreams, insights, or synchronicities in the coming days.
• Study herbs, crystals, and astrology with renewed focus, as Stolas may subtly guide you.
• Repeat the ritual whenever you feel the need to deepen your knowledge.

Unova Battle Subway maps
My personal preferred map of the railways (one with blue markers, one with color coded markers)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
An alternate map, taking the in-game subway map slightly more literally. (Bonus map with a few non-canon markers I added purely to help myself make sense of the seemingly pointless shapes of some of the routes)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bonus extra map of the routes taken by Ingo, Emmet, or both of them, for those who want a more specific visual of those routes on their own. (Of course Emmet's line goes through the Pokémon World Tournament lmao)
Tumblr media
Misc notes/thoughts under the cut
I'm not a train person, take all these musings with a grain of salt lol
Tumblr media
Canon map note: I imagine this map only shows the large, intercity railways. Cities like Nimbasa, Castelia, etc likely have smaller, more complex subway lines all over the city like we tend to see IRL.
Canon map note 2: In an IRL setting, these rail lines are likely far less straight and angular than on these maps and could probably make a lot more sense if drawn with a freer hand and consideration for the landscape, but I tried sticking somewhat close to how it's presented in the game.
International (wi-fi) line: In the game it's the wi-fi line. In a non-game context I imagine this line is one that actually leaves Unova and goes to a neighboring region.
Subwayness: While not all of these lines are 100% underground like they might be in the cities, I like to think quite a few of them are partially or primarily in tunnels. Many lines go across water without a major bridge* on the map, or straight through harsh environments like mountains or deserts, some of which may be more convenient long term to go under rather than through. With the technology of the Pokémon universe, I imagine large stretches of underground train tunnels are entirely possible. (*Maybe there's smaller unshown bridges for the trains, but at least the line that goes right through Castelia's port to an island I'd like to believe could be underground under water)
Battle Subway: The Battle Subway itself likely only runs on these intercity lines.Assuming IRL distances rather than in game walking distances, depending on the length of the line, a lap or two could be a full days work for the bosses. Non-battle trains likely use these same tracks.
Anville Town: The branching path on the Anville line is strange, as it doesn't seem to point toward any known location. It could be pointing toward some unlabelled town or landmark, though I've seen some people posit that it stops at the Celestial or Dragonspiral towers (though they seem too far away for me to agree). My personal headcanon is that rather than the large branch shown on the original map, it's actually two branches going to Anville Town; a large alternate rail to help with rotating/moving trains going in and out of the rail yard there.
Pokémon World Tournament: Located in or very near Driftveil City, it was added in BW2 by Driftveil gym leader Clay. Considering Driftveil is a city, it could have multiple subway stations, one of which just happens to be close to the PWT. Alternatively, it could be a bit of a distance away and thus have it's own station.
PokéStar Studios: Located in or very near Virbank City. As the major intercity lines don't quite hit Virbank itself, I imagine Virbank only has one intercity station near the studio if it's within Virbank itself. That, or it has no intercity stations and one must travel the distance between Virbank and the studio to travel further.
Unity Tower: Literally this train goes through a port and right into the ocean to reach an island. This island is only accessible by boat. I'm convinced this train goes under the seafloor. That or it has a super cool Marine Tube situation where it's a subway tunnel, but the tunnel is transparent and the ocean and water pokémon can be seen out the train windows.

The One Piece World Timezones [Fixed]
Okay, so I did a big WHOOPS. I thought the Grand Line is the equator. Someone in the notes pointed out that no, the Grand Line is not the equator and honestly, yeah, my fault for not going a bit deeper into my research.
Here is how the globe is and how the Grand Line goes. The blue thingy is I suspect the actual equator.
Tumblr media
The reasons I thought the Grand Line is on the equator is:
1) weather
2) natural occurences
3) map on the One Piece Wiki
Crazy shit happens in the equator in our world.
Here is how the Grand Line is positioned as told by Law.
Tumblr media
(source)
Now, let's fix the mistake. (Sighs)
And... ROTATE THE MAP.
Tumblr media
Here it is. I sighed many sighs while rotating this and maybe I cried a bit at getting everything 3 hours wrong and then cried some more that Dressrosa & Hawaii aren't in the same timezone bcs goddamn it, that fit, as did Mariejois.
But FINE. I'm doing this for all the Doffy x Reader writers, all the One Piece x Reader writers, all the One Piece fanfic writers, full stop. I REFUSE TO ALLOW MY MISTAKE TO BE A CURSE. I'll also edit the OG post and put this pic there so both posts have the correct one.
Okay, one more time, 100% correct this time:
Paradise:
Reverse Mountain [UTC -1]
Cape Valley [UTC 0]
Cactus Island [UTC 0]
Little Garden [UTC +1]
Drum Island [UTC +2]
Alabasta [UTC +3]
Island where Luffy Kicked Bellamy's Ass Vol 1 Jaya [UTC+4]
Skypiea [UTC +4]
The Arc I Skipped After Seeing It Became Filler Ring Long Island [UTC +5]
Water 7 [UTC +5]
I'm so sorry, Snail 😭
Ennies Lobby [UTC +6]
Florian Triangle [UTC +6]
Sabaody Archipelago [UTC +7]
Amazon Lily [UTC +7]
Impel Down [UTC +8]
Marineford [UTC +8]
Holy Land of Mariejois [UTC+8]
All the thematic representation of it being UTC +12, splash into the water 😭😭😭
Fishman Island [UTC +9]
New World:
New Marineford [UTC -8]
Punk Hazard [UTC -8]
Dressrosa [UTC -7]
Totto Land [UTC -5]
Wano [UTC -4]
Law vs Blackbeard Island [UTC -3]
Elbaf [UTC -3]
Weird that it's Elbaf that's Northeast, since shouldn't Law have gone there as his route? Maybe Kid lied and went there still after Law said Northeast is the quickest path, while Law took a detour onto Winner Island to fight Blackbeard.
Hachinosu (Pirate Island, Blackbeard's HQ) [UTC -3]
Egghead [UTC -3]
Even though Egghead's not shown on the map, Luffy went directly south from Wano, and by the line, the Sunny would have entered the UTC -3 zone.
Lodestar Island [UTC -2]
Calculating Guide:
From East to West
- if it's 17:00 (5 pm) in Marineford (UTC +8) and you want to know what time it is in Dressrosa, this is what you do:
1) (Current time in Marineford) - (UTC time number of Marineford) which is
17 (5pm) - 8 = 9 am (UTC 0)
2) now that you have UTC 0, you put another minus, this one from Dressrosa's UTC, which is UTC -7, so it goes
9 am - 7 = 2 am
So it's 2 am in Dressrosa, while it's 5 pm in Marineford!
From West to East
Say it's 22:00 (10 pm) on Saturday in Dressrosa, what time is it in Holy Land? Here are the steps.
1) (Dressrosa current time) + (Dressrosa's Timezone Number) = time at UTC 0
So that's:
10 pm + 7 = 5 am Sunday (UTC 0)
2) UTC 0 time + Holy Land Time Number
So: 5 am + 8 = 13:00 (1 pm) Sunday
So while it's 10 pm Saturday in Dressrosa and Doflamingo is conducting business with the Paradise part of the Grand Line, in the Holy Land, the ugly Celestials are eating lunch on Sunday or napping bcs they are freeloading cu- (censored) unlike Doflamingo who's actually working!
(looks at the maps of my previous timezone post) Okay. It's fine. I only missed Dressrosa by 3 hours. IT'S FINE.
(it's not fine, I'm crying, it's not FINE, my favourite island and I couldn't even get it right the first time, if Doffy turns me into a toy I deserve it)
I'll go climb the Red Line and jump off it. This is the greatest shame as a scientist. Wrong numbers.
A/N: Of course, if what the pic above said is true, it might as well could be that the original tinezone map I made is semi- correct and the entire territory up until Wano has a timezone from UTC -12 to UTC -9 if it's only the first third of the New World, as those are the "thirds" of the west timezones. I don't read the manga, but I'm caught up with the anime and if the manga does reveal a map, actual map like that curved one in the picture with Law or Oda finally makes one, I give the manga readers full permission to send it to me in an ask and I will update the posts again. For now, this is the most "official" map we have, and the most recent one. Also, the Grand Line being in the shape of a rollercoaster is fitting, haha.

What Kind of Witch Are You? (Or Will You Become?)
There is no one way to be a witch. Your magic follows your rhythm, your instincts, your bloodline, or your curiosity. Here are some paths—some old, some emerging. You may walk one, or many, or carve your own.
Green Witch
Speaks in leaves. Hears plants breathe. Grows magic in soil and steam.
• Works with herbs, gardens, kitchen brews
• Practices plant-based healing and natural spells
Cosmic Witch
Reads the stars like ancient runes. Moves with retrogrades. Sleeps best under a charted sky.
• Uses astrology, moon phases, and celestial timing
• Works spells around planetary energy
Kitchen Witch
Stirs spells into soups. Whispers enchantments over bread. Turns tea into transformation.
• Infuses everyday cooking with intention and ritual
• Uses food, herbs, and home energy for magic
Eclectic Witch
Draws from many rivers. Makes their own current.
• Mixes traditions, practices, and tools freely
• Follows intuition more than rules
Hearth Witch
Keeps the home as sacred. Sweeps with purpose. Brews with protection.
• Centers spells on hearth, home, and domestic comfort
• Protects, nurtures, and grounds energy
Sea Witch
Calls to tides. Whispers to shells. Hears secrets in waves.
• Uses ocean water, shells, salt, and storm energy
• Works with lunar tides and fluid magic
Shadow Witch
Walks with the parts most avoid. Transforms through truth.
• Practices deep healing, introspection, and shadow work
• Uses banishing, protection, and ancestral magic
You don’t have to choose. You’re not boxed in.
Let your magic evolve. Let it find you.
Sometimes your path is a map.
Sometimes it’s a wildfire.

au where Hermes burns down Cyllene as punishment for Luke
If Apollo's "involvement" in the second war leads to a six-month-long punishment named Lester, it's weird how Hermes seems to get off scot free for Luke (and honestly, Ares too for the bolt). And yeah, I've seen theories where it states Hermes didn't break the ultimate non-interference laws and therefore was not punished, buT! I think it would make sense if anyone who had any involvement in any war WAS punished, just kept their mouths shut about the details.
so what would be hermes' punishment for luke's actions in the first war? i propose this:
Zues should make Hermes burn down his birthplace. destroy it. wipe it off the map. kill whatever was left of his mother's earthly connections, thereby locking her and her sisters into their celestial forms, never to step foot on the earth again. It's the death of an immortal, and how chilling is that? According to Apollo, there is a power in birthplaces, but for a bastard of Olympus, it is only a stain of a reminder of where they came from.
(putting the rest under the cut bc its long lol)
ig there would be 3 main things that Heremes would take away from this:
showing Hermes that Cyllene is the consequence of his own actions. May Castellan, Luke Castellan, now his mother, who else? Everything he has touched has turned to ash, and any life he has entered has been led to ruin. ig this mindset would also shine a different light on Hermes' deadbeatness, in a way.
1. Enforces the consequences of Zeus' non-interference rule.
Scaring Hermes into inaction by punishing the results of his rare action (giving Luke a quest, speaking to him that literal one(?) time, telling May about the oracle) would also handily explain why the hell he was so absent during the giant war and the entirety of toa. Like, communications are down and messaging systems are in complete disarray, isn't that Hermes' domain? Why the hell isn't he doing anything about it? Well, that's bc he knows what happens when he disobeys, and at this point, he's running out of family to lose.
2. Prophecy is set in stone
This punishment would also unknowingly (to Zeus) create a mindset of the inevitability of prophecy in Hermes. Aka, the literal opposite of what Apollo and his trial's entire deal. Aka Zues' entire deal! !!!This is negative character development for Hermes gang!!!
If we go with the idea that Hermes knew about Luke's fate since he was a baby, and his giving Luke that quest was Hermes trying to change his son's fate... Then it almost sounds like one of the only times Hermes broke his father's non-interference rules was in an attempt to change Luke's fate. But not only did it blow up in his face spectacularly, but if that quest was a fundamental canon event in Luke's spiral into vengeance, then this is a classic tale of a hero meeting his end on the path he took to avoid it.
Not only has Hermes failed to save his son in what he believed was a futile attempt to go against prophecy, but he has also doomed his homeland in his rash actions. By punishing Hermes through Cyllene, it enforces the idea that his ever daring to think he could change fate has inadvertently brought the mountain to its ruin.
Furthermore, Zeus' choice of Hermes' birthplace as the target is uniquely tailored to hit where it hurts the most. A forest fire can go burning on for years, after all, and a mountain of ancient trees surrounded by boundaries of the boundary god could theoretically go on burning forever. After the deed has been done and the entire mountain is up in flames, from that point onwards, Zeus would only have to point to a ruined Cyllene to quell whatever mere suggestion Hermes has of stepping out of line.
3. zues proving to hermes that he is ultimately his father's son
if nympths in the rrverse are physically bound to a certain place, then maia and her sisters would have both their stars in the pleiades constellations in addition to mount cyllene.
Say, would the offsping of a nympth and a god be a minor god themselves? another nympth? a monster? who knows? in reality, their entire existence hinges on mortal belief and how humans perceive them, but parentage still plays a role in how their stories are told. so therefore the only olympian with a nympth for a mother would also reasonablly assume that there is a peice of him, like his mother, is tied to that mountain. weather or not thats actually true doesnt matter, what matters is when cyllene burned and hermes stood at the foot of the mountain and did not burn with it, to him it was the dreaded proof that he was no longer his mothers son. that he has left behind everything good that he used to be, and through his very own efforts, somewhere between his childhood in that cave where he dared dreamed of something greater, he has forfeited what made those dreams worth chasing in the firat place. through his own efforts, he has become something terrible. he has become his fathers son.
.
.
.
all this is to say that rrverse zues may be evil, but bros not uncreative lmao. isolating Hermes through cutting off some of the last of his support system (by his own hands, no less) not only ensures Hermes' reliance on Zeus but also Hermes' reliance and identification with Olympus as a whole. also ensures that when the time comes for Apollo's punishment, there's already a hurt there that's ripe and ready to be dug into.
Apollo's been banished to mortal-hood? oh boo hoo, what a tragedy (compleatly different hc but i think hermes honestly would've had a much easier time adjusting to mortalhood compared to apollo at first, mainly due to the nature of hermes' domains). Oh, Apollo nearly keeps dying as a mortal and is prophesied to perish at the jaws of Python? well, fuck, his head for his crimes is what he deserves, is it not? While Apollo's punishment is a thinly veiled assassination attempt, Hermes' punishment would be to isolate him further.
There was already a jealousy here that could be amplified to the nines post-trials. I think it's due to the sheer fact that Apollo came out of his punishment better off than how he began, divine and golden and shining once more, even though he has defied their father again and again and has acted as an antithesis to everything he once preached. To Hermes, Apollo's death-defying ascension makes the fact that while Apollo effortlessly gets everything, the only thing Hermes has received for his troubles is a dead mother, dead son, and a homeland in ashes.

🎾 Jupiter vs. Venus: The Duel of Gurus. 🏅
Tumblr media
In the infinite drama of the cosmos, two larger-than-life forces play the role of celestial teachers: Jupiter (Brihaspati) and Venus (Shukracharya). These two aren’t just gurus—they’re the ultimate life coaches, each with their unique vibes. Jupiter is the philosopher who hands you a map to enlightenment, while Venus is the savvy mentor who teaches you how to conquer the world and look fabulous doing it.
But wait—there’s more to Shukracharya than just luxury and indulgence. He wasn’t only the guru of the asuras; he was a healer extraordinaire, the cosmic doctor who literally brought the dead back to life with the Sanjeevani mantra. So, while Jupiter gives you the wisdom to transcend, Venus might just save your skin (and soul) when things go south.
Let’s dig deeper into this ultimate cosmic clash of the titans and see how their wisdom, morals, and approach to life shape their disciples.
🎓 Knowledge: Universal Truths vs. Practical Skills
Jupiter’s Wisdom: Jupiter’s knowledge is like a sacred text—ancient, profound, and illuminating. As the guru of the devas, he specializes in timeless wisdom that transcends the material world. He’s your go-to for unlocking the mysteries of dharma (duty), moksha (liberation), and the universe’s ultimate purpose. Think philosophy, ethics, and everything that makes you go, “Wow, life is deeper than I thought.”
Venus’s Knowledge: Venus is the practical genius who hands you a toolkit for mastering life’s complexities. From diplomacy to healing, Shukracharya doesn’t just teach you how to survive—he teaches you how to thrive. His lessons are rooted in the art of living: navigating relationships, enjoying material pleasures, and even harnessing the secrets of immortality. He’s the cosmic mix of a life coach and a healer, ensuring you’re prepared for anything life throws your way.
⚖️ Morals: Righteousness vs. Pragmatism
Jupiter’s Morality: Jupiter is all about the straight and narrow. He champions dharma and universal harmony, even if it means personal sacrifice. He’s the teacher who insists that doing the right thing is non-negotiable, no matter how tough it gets. With Jupiter, it’s always about the bigger picture.
Venus’s Morality: Venus operates in the real world, where things aren’t always black and white. His moral compass is more flexible, designed to help you navigate life’s gray areas. Shukracharya understands that sometimes bending the rules is necessary for survival—and that’s okay. His pragmatism is his strength, making him relatable and incredibly effective.
💎 The Hedonist vs. The Ascetic
Venus: The Sensual Healer Venus doesn’t shy away from the material world; he embraces it. He teaches that beauty, luxury, and pleasure aren’t distractions—they’re part of the human experience. But Venus is more than a connoisseur of indulgence; as a healer, he shows how to channel these desires into personal growth. His mastery of the Sanjeevani mantra highlights his deep understanding of life and death, proving that he’s not just about the good times—he’s about second chances too.
Jupiter: The Ascetic Sage Jupiter is the spiritual minimalist, urging you to detach from desires and focus on higher truths. He’s the guru who reminds you that fleeting pleasures pale in comparison to eternal peace. While Venus heals your body and mind, Jupiter seeks to heal your soul by guiding you beyond the illusions of the material world.
🌌 Life’s Approach: Harmony vs. Mastery
Jupiter’s Path: Jupiter leads with faith, devotion, and the pursuit of inner peace. His approach is about finding harmony within yourself and with the universe. His teachings encourage gratitude and humility, aligning your actions with the greater cosmic order.
Venus’s Path: Venus believes in mastering the art of life. Whether it’s relationships, success, or overcoming obstacles, Shukracharya equips you to excel in the material realm. His lessons emphasize empowerment and resilience, reminding you that even in chaos, there’s beauty—and power.
If Jupiter is the grand monastery, steeped in philosophy and higher learning, Venus is the opulent palace ballroom, alive with music, dance, and earthly pleasures. Jupiter’s domain is the university lecture hall, a sanctuary of timeless wisdom, while Venus presides over the art gallery, where beauty and creativity are celebrated. Jupiter governs the sanctum of a temple, a space for introspection and spiritual growth, whereas Venus sparkles in the marketplace, where life’s sensual joys and connections unfold. Each represents a world of its own: Jupiter uplifts the soul, and Venus enchants the senses
Tumblr media
The Verdict 💫
So, here’s the cosmic tea: Jupiter and Venus aren’t competing; they’re balancing forces. Jupiter offers the wisdom to transcend life, while Venus gives you the skills to embrace and heal within it. Jupiter is the sage who helps you unlock eternal truths, and Venus is the healer and mentor who ensures you enjoy the ride and survive the bumps along the way.
Are you drawn to Jupiter’s lofty ideals or Venus’s grounded guidance? Let me know—Team Jupiter or Team Venus? ✨

The Galactic Crystal Hologram, a Mayan Interdimensional Star Map illustrating Earth's connection to the cosmic whole, with key celestial points like Sirius, Pleiades, and Arcturus linked to the Omnigalactic Source via a Merkaba-like geometric structure. In ascension terms, the Merkaba—symbolizing a spinning, light-based energy field—can be used to align with these galactic energies, facilitating a journey toward the Galactic Source by activating higher consciousness and interdimensional travel. Relating to Kabbalah, this aligns with the Tree of Life, where the Sefirot represent stages of divine emanation. The central "Hunab Ku Center" mirrors Keter (Crown), the source of divine light, while the vertical axis reflects the Middle Pillar, guiding the soul's ascent. The star map's nodes (e.g., Alpha and Omega Galaxies) parallel the Sefirot's interconnectedness, suggesting a mystical path to unity with the infinite, enhanced by Merkaba meditation. Vines twisting, writhing around your ankles, your wrists, tightening around your neck as you struggled against their hold. Suffocating, dying by your own magic, too weak to fight against it. Why couldn’t you have just listened to Viktor for once in your—
Where it had once been darkness, a faint, white light blinked into existence, the dark transforming into a star-patterned sky, dim except for the small dot above you. Before you could examine it, the dark exploded into a sea of little lights, smaller than the first, but moving, like a disturbed colony of ants. The vines ceased squeezing as your limbs relaxed, a sense of ease falling over you, calming you with its comforting sway. The bright light pulsed again, pulling insistently on your magic, and though it had just betrayed you, you found yourself opening up to it anyway.
Flowing from you and over the vines, your magic poured forth in soft, effervescent waves, the luminous wisps snaking through the twisting plants. As each thread wormed its way under wood and mortar and brick and into soil, you could feel the earth's heartbeat, the deep thrum of life carrying on unseen beneath the surface. Your senses expanded outwards, unfurling like gossamer wings as you witnessed the intricate map of souls walking above.
In the distance, a familiar presence stirred, its essence unmistakable. Viktor. You sensed his deliberate movements, each footfall resonating through the woven matrix as he made his way toward you. Though you couldn't see him, you traced the path of his energy from Piltover - the energy in that area screaming poise and class and condescension -  vibrant and unwavering, a beacon cutting through the darkness.
Overhead, the celestial canopy swirled, luminescent spots swirling in an endless, hypnotic waltz. You drifted in that dreamscape, lost between worlds, content to simply bask in the warmth of Viktor's nearing presence until the moment he returned to you.
When he made it to the house, you at least had the good sense to be embarrassed about your predicament. You could only imagine what it would look like when he crested the stairs, but the vines were still too tight around your jaw and you couldn’t shout to warn him or let him know you were okay.
His footsteps creaked up the stairs, slowly, as if he was trying to be quiet lest he disturb you. It was sweet, though you doubted that any amount of noise would have awoken you had you still been in the deepest throes of your illness.
The sound of items clattering to the ground and a sharp gasp signalled that he’d seen your sorry state, a mummy made of magical plant matter. One step, two steps, and his fingers were grasping and pulling at the vines around your face.
“Milá,” he breathed, panic as you’d rarely heard colouring his voice.
You hummed your response, adding a lilting inflection, almost like a question, hoping it would calm him if he knew you were not in distress. But even if he understood, he continued his insistent tugging, and soon, like a flower blooming, the vines gave way around your eyes.
Squinting against the sudden onslaught of light, you heard Viktor breathe a deep sigh of relief. “Are you alright?” he asked, though you were unable to answer.
When you were finally able to see again, your eyes darted from the concerned frown marring his lips, to the crease of worry between his brows. Despite your magic assuring you that he would return safely, a lingering sense of unease had gnawed at you, wondering what condition he would come back in. His skin had lost its healthy flush, the dark circles under his eyes had deepened, and his cheeks looked gaunt. How long had you been unconscious?
You hummed again, shifting weakly beneath your leafy shackles. Viktor, understanding what you were wordlessly trying to communicate, tugged once more at vines. But they refused to budge.
You huffed, your magic silent beneath your skin for once. Irritating that it didn’t respond when you needed it, but seemed to have no qualms about ruining everything else.
“Please,” Viktor implored, gaze darting across the vines, “it would be most appreciated if you released her. I have medicine she requires, and I cannot administer it should you continue to restrain her.”
Any lingering confusion over his statement was instantly dispelled as those damned sparks pushed out from between the tangled vines, pulsing lowly as they sat abnormally still in your lap - like minuscule dogs on watch duty. Of course they had something to do with this.
Whereas you were about at your wits end with these little…creatures, Viktor seemed to have an abundance of patience.
“Allow me a moment,” he addressed the sparks as though he could understand them.
Viktor turned and strode back towards the top of the stairs, where he'd dropped whatever he'd been carrying in his haste to reach you. Bending down, he rummaged through the abandoned bags and pouches, finally retrieving a small glass bottle, no bigger than his palm. Cradling it gently, he straightened and made his way back over to you, the sparks immediately swarming around the new object with an excited buzz.
As Viktor held the bottle out before him, the sparks zipped and darted in disorderly orbits around it, their glistering trails leaving streaks of light in the air. You could see Viktor's lips moving, though his voice was too soft to make out the words over the shrill barage of the sparks' shrieks. After a few trying minutes, the frenzied swarm slowed, the individual sparks drifting closer to inspect the bottle's contents with rapt curiosity.
The bottle itself was unassuming, a simple glass vial with a cork stopper, yet whatever was inside seemed to utterly entrance the sparks. They ran their tiny forms along its curved surface, tracing the outline of the pills within with an almost reverent awe. One particularly bold spark alighted on Viktor's outstretched hand, creeping up his wrist and forearm in a winding path until it reached his shoulder. There it paused, tilting back and forth as if weighing some great decision.
You held your breath, the moment stretching out into eternity as the spark remained motionless on Viktor's shoulder. Just when you thought your lungs might burst, it loosed a piercing trill, one that set the rest of the swarm into a burst of echoing shrieks and chitters.
As if responding to a direct command, the vines binding you suddenly convulsed, unravelling in a whirlwind of twisting green ropes. You collapsed forward with a gasp as the constricting coils abruptly released you, only Viktor's swift hands catching you prevented you from tumbling to the floor. The sparks swirled triumphantly overhead as you clung to him, trembling with relief, exhausted from both your fight and the illness still clinging to your skin, clammy and cold with sweat.
“What happened?” Viktor asked, concern in the wide set of his eyes, his hand slipping into yours and squeezing gently.
“I’m not great at following instructions.” You gave him a sheepish grin, eyes darting towards the door that hid his note on the other side.
He followed your gaze, shaking his head and sighing. “I was pretty specific.”
You shrugged, though you were barely able to get your shoulders to move more than an inch. “I was pretty beside myself when I woke up and couldn’t find you, and I wasn’t exactly thinking clearly.”
“And your solution was to cover yourself in vines?” Viktor picked up a torn tendril, raising an eyebrow at you with a dubiousness that bordered on comical.
“It wasn’t my solution,” you paused, “at least, not consciously.”
He placed the back of his hand against your forehead and your eyes fluttered shut at the feel of his blessedly cool touch against your overheated skin. “You’re still feverish. Here, take this.”
He held out what appeared to be a large pill, giving you time to eye it warily, before ultimately taking it, popping it into your mouth and accepting the bottle of water he pulled from his bag to help wash it down. How long had he gone without water? Or food for that matter. Guilt churned in your gut, not only because you’d been unable to summon the basic necessities of life in your sickness-induced haze, but because your first thoughts upon waking had been selfishly centred on your fear of him abandoning you. Shouldn’t you trust him enough by now?
Before you could dwell on that thought any further, you were unexpectedly suspended in the air, Viktor’s arm beneath your shoulders and under your knees. You squealed your surprise, the sparks mimicking your noise like a hundred tiny out-of-tune music boxes.
Viktor chuckled and had the fever not already reddened your cheeks, your blush would have diffused across your skin.
“Proud of yourself?” You clutched at his cloak, heart hammering in your chest.
He smirked. “Something like that.”
And you supposed that was fair, he would have been hard-pressed to not only pick you up but to carry you as well prior to his new metallic additions. While he looked exhausted and waned, the strength he possessed soothed an anxious part of your soul that you didn’t think would ever truly stop fretting about him.
The rough surface of the wooden floor was what you were expecting as he gently lowered you down. But to your surprise, instead of the expected discomfort, you found yourself placed atop a bed of soft blankets - the fabric plush and welcoming. When had he done that? You couldn't remember him getting up from his spot crouched in front of you, but then again, your memory was clouded by fever and delirium.
“Soft.” You spread your fingers along the blanket, relishing in its fluff. “Where did you get this?”
“I will tell you all about it once you are feeling better.” He brushed away the hair plastered to your sweaty brow, tucking it behind your ear. “The quicker you recover, the sooner you’ll find out.”
“I know you went back to the Academy.” Some instinctive part of you rebelled against his assertions, his motivation for you to get well.
“Oh?” He raised an eyebrow as you yawned, not bothering to cover your mouth - and you weren’t sure you would have had the strength either way.
“The vines told me.” Even after having experienced it firsthand, it sounded silly to your ears.
Viktor humoured you with a patient smile. “Then we shall exchange stories when you are well enough. I will tell you the details of my journey to Piltover, and you may tell me how it was exactly that the vines told you of my whereabouts.”
You gave a grunt of affirmation, words lost in the haze of your tired mind.
Eyelids growing heavy, you sank deeper into the plush bedding as Viktor's soothing presence surrounded you. His faint silhouette swayed in and out of focus, his gentle touch - cool hands brushing against your forehead, the rustle of fabric as he adjusted the blankets - lulling you to sleep.
Two days of mystery pills and rest, and you were feeling much improved. Your fever had broken the morning following Viktor’s return, and your energy had slowly begun to increase. You were confident in your ability to move about the house, and even summon food when the supplies that Viktor had brought back started to run low, but he was less than convinced.
“You could at least tell me how it was to be back there,” you prodded when he denied your use of magic to summon food again, stating he would simply lower his portions. But you saw the way his strength had depleted over the past few days, and he needed all the nourishment he could get. Besides, you didn’t recall asking for permission.
“I will concede on that.”
You resisted the urge to fist pump your victory, instead, throwing a blanket over his shoulders, and using the ends to tug him closer, nestling up against his side as the sparks sighed happily. Much to your chagrin, they’d refused to leave you alone since the incident with the vines, and when you’d explained it all to Viktor earlier that morning, all he’d done was hum and talk about how curious they were. Irritating was more like it. But you couldn’t deny that sometimes - very seldom, mind you - they were rather adorable.
“I have told you that I’m not cold, yes?” Viktor tilted his head to the side, making no move to extract you from his side.
“Yeah, yeah,” you waved your hand dismissively, the sparks leaping off your finger, scampering up his knees and into the folds of the blanket. “Stop stalling and tell me already.”
“If you insist.” Viktor’s arm wrapped around your shoulder and the magic within you purred with contentment, sending a pleasant tingle through your limbs.
“I had only meant to search through the Undercity for the supplies we required, but, when I found a passage to Piltover that had long been forgotten on this side of the city, I thought it prudent I acquire you some medication.” As he spoke, his fingers trailed up and down your arm, bringing goosebumps to the surface of your skin. “I had been hoping to avoid detection, and I would have, had Jayce not been asleep in the lab when I arrived.”
You remained silent, allowing him space to gather his thoughts. “He has spent the time since the explosion thinking us both to be dead, and he was relieved to hear we had survived, though dubious about the disappearance of the Hexcore and my…current form. He attempted to convince me to stay, he was planning to resign from the council, and when I turned down his offer…” Viktor pursed his lips. “He did not take it well, though he did not try to block my departure.”
“I’m sorry, Viktor.” The words paled in comparison to the solemnity of Viktor’s story, but it was all you could offer.
“As am I,” he sighed, resting his cheek against the top of your head. “I only hope he comes to understand one day. We could not stay in Piltover like this.”
You wrapped your arms around his waist, burying your face in the crook of his neck. “I’m glad he didn’t try to stop you from coming back.”
“Nothing could have stopped me from returning to you, miláčku,” he whispered into your hair. You smiled against the metal of his neck and felt him return the expression in the form of what you could imagine was a rather impish grin. Oh gods, what now?
“Jayce had pitchers of water and plates of food under glass domes and hooked up to our testing equipment,” he began, and with a sinking feeling in your stomach, you had an idea of where this was headed. “You know how I cannot resist a conundrum, as this no doubt was, and through the vigorous scientific inquiry of asking Jayce, I discovered that his food and water have been disappearing, seemingly by some magical force, for, eh, around a week now. Perhaps as you yourself are a mage, you would have some insight into this predicament?”
You groaned, your face reddened and hot, though not a result of fever. “I’ve been stealing from Jayce this entire time?”
“You’ve been stealing from the lab,” Viktor corrected. “Less targeted, but it does appear that he has been spending most of his time there.”
“Maybe he should get out more,” you said, halfhearted in your critique. “How…” you swallowed hard, “how were the council members? Did you hear anything?”
“If the gossip I overheard was correct, they are all alive.”
As relieved as that made you, tension bleeding from your shoulders, you couldn’t help but notice the very specific wording he’d used.
“But they were injured.” It wasn’t so much a question as it was a statement. You were too well versed in Viktor’s tactics to avoid and distract.
“There was remaining debris that fell after your barrier disappeared. At the time, I was much too concerned over your well-being to realize, but yes, there were some injuries.”
Squeezing your eyes shut, you balled your hands into fists around the fabric of his cloak. A scream of frustration lodged itself in your throat. You’d tried so hard to save them, to prevent the damage, but for all your pain and suffering, they had still been hurt.
“They - we - are alive because of you, do not forget that.” Viktor smoothed his hand over the back of your skull, a repetitive motion meant to soothe.
He was correct, but it did little to assuage your guilt. “How bad is it?”
He was quiet for a moment and you did your best to wait, but the headache building behind your eyes was only thinning your patience.
“Councilor Salo no longer has the use of his legs, and Councilor Kiramman…she is in a coma.”
You saw it then, a statue, golden and muted beneath the cloudy sky, rain pattering across the three figures forever immortalized in honour of their contributions, in remembrance of their tragic deaths. Councilors Bolbok, Hoskel, and Kiramman. A daughter, angry and mourning her loss, bent on vengeance and violence. Was a coma better than death? Never knowing if she’d awaken, if they’d have to watch her slowly slip away until she became a living ghost. It was a different type of grief, to lose someone who was still alive, but no less potent.
Slipping peacefully back to reality, you kept your eyes shut. Your visions had always been jarring, like something was ripping your consciousness out of your body and throwing it into the abyss. Yet this time, it had felt like flowing down a slow, meandering stream, drifting you from one place to the next. You weren’t sure you would have noticed if not for the extreme change in scenery.
“Three of them were supposed to die,” you said, “I am glad they did not.”
“That is a good thing, I think.”
You remained firmly in his arms, time slowly ticking by and a low simmer of worry spreading through you. Heal and recover, and then you could figure out how to move forward, and help save Piltover and the Undercity like Soraka believed you could. But first, and most importantly, you had to figure out how to stabilize Viktor.

nposting again (featuring very crunchy images this time)
here in pink is a map of the player’s path during bw (darker pink are there-and-back again, the faded one is to account for the only main instance of backtracking)
Tumblr media
here in green are the locations at which you encounter n
Tumblr media
‘ok who cares’ cuz i’m obsessed with this
Tumblr media
you encounter him at the entrance to chargestone cave, where he issues a sort of challenge to meet him at the end. you fight your way through and have a pretty cool confrontation in my humble opinion before he exits the cave system right before you. and where does that spit both of you out? mistralton city, right? but if he darts off before you you’re never gonna be able to actually follow him cuz it’s a video game he’s just gone
point being you’d think he’d have just kept proceeding down the path to get to dragonspiral tower because you know he has places to be right? like you presumably wouldn’t see him in mistralton city. but this guy hangs out in the area for a good while!!! he’s right there while you’re off doing celestial tower and literally waits outside the gym!! just to talk to you not even to battle you or tell you any important information or anything! he just infodumps, vents, and compliments you
it’s so funny to me. but also i love it. man is on a mission to awaken the dragon and become the hero and make the world a better place because humans are cruel and selfish liars and nothing can get in the way of this glorious dream except that one teenager who lowkey seemed kinda nice i kinda wanna like check in on how they’re doing i like their vibe

As an expanding of previous post about how fucking confusing Luffy is, if only because of the languages he speaks, which are extremely random for a seventeen-year-old pirate from a lost corner of the East Blue :
On the Strawhat crew, you don't ask questions about the others' pasts, that's the most important unsaid rule. You can ask about the crew though, so Robin, between the events of Thriller Bark and Sabaody, decides to get to know the others better, as well as the mechanics of the crew, especially those of the Romance Dawn trio and East Blue group.
Her investigation begins backwards, from Sanji, to Usopp, to Nami, to Zoro, to Luffy.
From Sanji, she gets the story of how their captain destroyed part of the Baratie, worked there for a single day, encouraged a fight between Hawkeye and Zoro, as he himself fought against one of the big shots in the East Blue, some armoured guy with an enormous fleet who couldn't survive Paradise.
Usopp tells an unusually under-romanced story about this ex-pirate turned butler who was planning on killing his lover Kaya for her money, and how Luffy and Zoro saved them all from the tall butler with poops drawn onto his tailcoat.
Nami tells her about meeting Luffy and Zoro in Orange Town, planning on robbing them dry for a map to the Grand Line, escaping Buggy the Clown, fleeing by herself to go back to Arlong and hopefully buy back her village, Luffy freeing her (she got to wear his hat, Robin notes with attention).
Zoro grunts about a planned execution in a Marine base, something about killing wolves and eating sugared rice balls, and, the most surprising of all, how Luffy, accompanied by the small pink-haired Marine they saw on Water Seven, seemed to know about him beforehand and deliberately wanting to recruit him (he's the only one of them Luffy got out of his way to specifically recruit before even meeting them).
Luffy's story makes less sense. Robin can't get him to tell where exactly he'd been sailing from, and tales of getting sucked into a whirlpool and meeting a big pirate lady are overlapped with descriptions of foods he got to eat and bugs he got to see on his way from wherever his native island is to the Marine base he found Zoro in. With how thick his accent is, she hoped to pin down his island, but the only other time she's heard it was in Vice-Admiral Garp's mouth, and she also doesn't know where he's from further than the East Blue.
Before she can get any more specific, toeing the line of prying, they get to Sabaody and Robin can't ask anymore questions.
What she gets to see and hear on the archipelago doesn't help : with this place being a gathering point for travelers and merchants from all seas, every languages known to her and some she doesn't know are spoken. Her Eastern crewmates struggle a bit, only knowing their native tongue and the most basic version of Grand (even if Zoro's accent hints to him speaking something else entirely, and by having been born in the North Blue Sanji understands one specific Northern dialect, even though he managed to erase all traces of it from his accent), but Luffy gets the strange Grand variation that points to a pirate having lived in the New World, and the vague noble they cross paths with, he can decipher their stuck-up tongue and posh accent, which surprises her a lot.
The New World Grand she can pin down to Luffy having spent, from her understanding, quite a bit of his formative years alongside a New World crew, Shanks' one.
The noble tongue, she can't link to anything. There's nothing that associates Luffy and the nobility, especially with who his father is. She tried asking the others about Ace, who could have given some type of hint, but all the feedback she gets on him is about how polite he was towards them, how affectionate towards Luffy, and how strong towards the Marines.
When Luffy punches the Celestial Dragon at the auction house, she can see that even if the fact that he wanted to buy their friend Camie infuriated him, that punch seemed a bit too personal, only adding to the mystery : why does Luffy speak a noble tongue if the Celestial Dragons are the only people Robin's seen him hate on principle ?

Hello I hope your day is going well :)
I wanted to ask about how one can navigate wanting to attract or banish something if the moon phase is not optimal as in ex I wanna attract something when the moon is wanes I was thinking/heard it can be worked around through working planetary hours and days id love to hear your take on it
Here's one way to look at it.
The celestial bodies - planets, stars, moons - are an ever-changing yet cyclical map of fate. However they are positioned when something is born determines the fate of that thing.
The moon is sort of the gatekeeper (because its closest :3c) and generally determines whether the grand cycle above manifests as either a period of increase or decrease.
Therefore it's sort of a cheap hack to only align spells to moon phase, without any regard to other astrological elections. Those elections (including the moon phase) are a map of fate and determine the fate of the spell whether they are considered or not.
Regardless of the phase of the moon, the paths of fate carved by the heavens are broad. But fate doesn't necessarily mean "pre-determined outcome." Instead it can be more like a series of conditions, like this spell will impact family more than professional relationships or this spell easily makes an enemy fall. In addition, these conditions can be either powerful or minor.
So:
Sometimes it lowkey doesn't matter. If your spell's purpose isn't caged by limiting aspects of fate, then it kinda doesn't matter.
You can anticipate the celestial conditions and seek to lean into what's available to you (e.g., instead of attracting money during the waning moon, banish recurring expenses)
Seeking to work with planetary days and hours doesn't mean the moon phase doesn't matter, but it's a method of trying to ensure at least some paths of fate are open.
Working with the moon phase alone is not a guarantee to spell success, especially as the moon itself can be poorly appointed depending on the positions of other celestial bodies.
