9. Most disliked character(s)? Why

If I ever see those Cervello fuckers out on the street its on sight 🤜 NO BECAUSE WHAT EVEN ARE THEY???? So, they're connected directly to the Vongola right? Or maybe not? But they're clearly connected to the tri-ni-sette too and protecting that but clearly not connected to the True Earthlings because if they were, Checkerface would have used them to assist with the representative battle over using Wonomichi? Their whole thing is being judges in fights and yet nope. Not that fight apparently. SO clearly not an earthling thing. So then why are they so involved with the rings? WHAT IS THEIR DEAL WHY DO THEY BASICALLY FUCK OFF AND DISAPEAR FOR THE LAST ARC!!! I'm convinced if you write them totally out of the plot nothing would change, if anything the plot would be a little less confusing.

26. Most shippable character?

For canon characters, I mean I gotta say it. It's Tsuna. Even outside of his more popular ships I don't care for, I will admit 0027 and 8027 kinda hit different 👁🫦👁 Now which character do I think is the most shippable for ocs? Lowkey... Yamamoto. I just feel like he's not as popular as I expected him to be with the OC creators. I've seen a few here and there both on here and other platforms but I don't know!! I really expected more since in my eyes he's such a shippable character??

Hmm, maybe Mammon? It's a little hard for me to picture them in a relationship (though the fon/mammon art kinda eats and I have also seem some cute dynamics out there don't get me wrong). Honestly, I don't really see any character as un-shippable because if you got enough love and passion in your heart anything is possible!! Will I personally ship it? maybe not but who cares! Be free! I’ve just seen ur post about Barca matches being boring and I wanted to throw my 2 cents in

Am I slightly biased cos I am a Barca fan ? Maybe

But the games rnt boring - if they win like 7-0 great I get to see my team play pretty cool football;

If they win by 1 or 2 or if it’s not a clean sheet then I can say that we’ve played not the best and I recognise that the teams not played at their highest level

I also can appreciate the other teams defence and chances (if it’s a “low scoring game” I can recognise that the other teams defence is really good; if there are a few chances for the opposition I can recognise their creativity or our good defence in shutting them down) if that makes any sense

I also like seeing the “babies” play and the squad rotation (if there is any ahahaha) and tryna work out tactics and stuff

I think a lot of Barca fans recognise when the team doesn’t play at their best even if it is a win

Anyways that’s my thoughts on it but yeh if u think it’s boring don’t watch it? I guess ahahaha (not in a negative way in like a if u don’t want to watch it u don’t have to kinda way)

first off i want to make it abundantly clear that me saying that the games are boring doesn’t mean i want barca to play half arsed. my opinions come from a place of frustration that the other teams can’t keep up. in no world would i want a team to take their foot off the gas just to make things fairer

however i will say that if a team has to give themselves individual player goals for each game, (as per the information from laia cervello herrero. not sure show reliable she is but anyway) then to me that means that the team already know they’re gonna win. having to work towards other targets to make it interesting for their own players , in my opinion, is a little dull

barca are a world class team and it’s so great that they have the ability and quality to do so well, but unless it’s a champions league game there’s legit no risk to their success because they are miles better than everyone else in liga f. a good game for me isn’t just racking up the goals. and yes they do play beautiful football but again, it’s not just about skills on the ball like you said, tactics are big. But it’s rare they have to use them in terms of having to break the other team down for example. Its seams like it’s just for rotation purposes from what ive seen

if my team could win like barca would then id be buzzing but that also doesn’t mean they’re fun games to watch. the best type of win is an unexpected one, to me at least

and for the record i don’t watch barca games unless it’s cl because to me that’s when i see them play their best football against the best teams. so yeah i don’t watch the league because i don’t want to

So, some of us know how I feel about Mukuro. I may appreciate him as a character, I know that he adds a lot of value to the story, to the progression of certain character growths and the like—but I personally don’t vibe with him. I don’t like him. I can understand that he had a rough past, I can get that he’s nuanced, I can understand a lot of things, but ultimately, I view him as a bit of a risk. For his ideals, he is liable to doing things such as taking over bodies and not caring for the state that the body will end up in.

It isn’t to say that I don’t understand his motives, because they’re certainly understandable. He doesn’t want what happened to him to happen to others. I, unfortunately, am an emotional bean who is feels guilty very easily. I cannot use others in quite the way that he does. The moment he was shown to possess kids or possess injured people to use them against others- while totally understandable and a viable tactic- I just don’t like it. I don’t vibe with it. I just cannot get over it. MY CHILD FUUTA!!!!!! The emotional turmoil that child went through. I just… cannot condone the hurt that the child went through.

Then there is Birds who was very much willing to want to use Haru/Kyoko against the others and possibly ruin their lives. It matters not to me that it may not have been explicitly upon Mukuro’s orders or what. Inherently, the fact that he’s doing so, it makes it feel like he knows it’s okay to do so while under Mukuro’s wing. Perhaps the mentality of the necessary sacrifices for the greater good and it does rub me the wrong way (yes, I’m biased, and it may very well largely be because of Haru. SUE ME).

I’m well aware that people really like him, and that’s totally fine! Like I said before, as a character, I like him. He’s got a lot of nuance and dynamicism to his writing. He’s got a lot of depth to him in regards to his motives, machinations, his pitfalls, etc. That said, from an emotional and moral stance, he rubs me the wrong way and I don’t like him very much. I don’t hate him, no, but I will just stare at him from afar and squint. Would I defend him from any slander? Absolutely. I truly have my allegiance to the girls and to the kids. I hate Iemitsu and Cervello more than I do Mukuro for instance.

I absolutely understand the need to gather all the ‘guardians’ ie combatants together for the final sky battle. Totally get it. I see why the poison mechanic was used. I truly do understand why it was done—but EMOTIONALLY I’M STILL SEETHING!!!! LAMBO!!!! MY POOR CHILD!!!!! FK OFF YOU CHERRY HAIRED BITCH. <- How I like a character or dislike them truly is based off how petty I’m going to be.

Oh- I also forgot to mention. My favorite character, my very FIRST one was Lanchia. Do we now understand why I truly just cannot vibe with Mukuro? After what he did to Lanchia’s famiglia? How it left him with a lot of guilt and trauma? MY FAVORITE? NAHHHHHHH NAAAHHH!!!!

So yeah. That’s why I don’t like him. Don’t hate him, but also HISSSSS!

Before anyone gets scared—No, that doesn’t mean that I dislike Mukuro rp’ers. No, it doesn’t mean that I’d hate if a Mukuro rp’er wants to approach Haru and I. Neo enjoys all sorts of scenarios and relationship dynamics. I’m willing to try things if someone wants to try something. You want them to be friends? Sure. Frenemies? Sure.

Oh- another reason I remembered. I also muse Hibari as some of us already know. He, along with Yamamoto are tied for third place favorite KHR character BECAUSE HARU MIURA TAKES FIRST AND SECOND PLACE! THE LOVE OF MY LIFE TAKES TWO SLOTS, YOU OTHER CHARACTERS SIT DOWN AND BOW- just kidding.

I’m loyal to Hibari and he doesn’t like Mukuro so THEREFORE! I cannot like Mukuro. Mhm mhm. It’s only right, mhm mhm. I’m a loyal bean, mhm mhm. (Would I also throw  him into a room of Sakura blossoms to piss him off though? No comment. I’m only loyal to a point. I just love chaos)

ANYWAYS, to the main point.

There are aspects of Mukuro and Chrome that I do not like as a ship, and it comes down to the power dynamic imbalance that the two had. Especially in the beginning of the series where she can only survive based off his illusions and what he gets out of it is taking over her body so to speak to enact whatever he has to do. It is rather symbiotic, yes, but there is more power in the hands of Mukuro and her behavior shows it. Yes, he in essence saved her, but she didn’t really save him. He’s using her in exchange for her life. There is a feeling of how her life is his and that whatever he wants is fine by her. She is his to command because of the gratitude of giving her new life.

Her identity is not only her own but also his. There is more of an imbalance which makes me a bit uncomfortable at times. Yes, you may argue that he too has given up a lot and done a lot for her but one can also spin it that he puts up with certain things because of the overarching goal of what he ultimately wants—to get rid of the mafia. What better way than to get closer to the Vongola 10, let them drop their guard with the sweet Chrome and then swoop in once he sees a crack. This is a way that you could spin it. I’m not saying that IS how it is, but I’m shedding light on the fact that it COULD be a way of looking at it.

Depending on how you personally view him, some of their dynamic can take shape in a different way.

Now, I do personally think they are meant to be a duo. (Yes, after I said all that I think they are meant for each other lol) When you think about how the primo and tenth gen are very similar to one another but with differences, you can truly see something through Elena/Daemon and Chrome/Mukuro. Just like how Elena was the one who introduced Daemon to the Vongola and asked him to join the cause, Chrome is the one who basically dragged Mukuro into the Vongola due to HER association with them. She slowly assimilates with the Vongola and becomes friends with them, and by that association, Mukuro is associated with them as well for her sake.

This contradicts his desire to overthrow the mafia and rid of them in a sense, but also- it is a good way for him to also oversee what they are doing and get rid of the dirt that he doesn’t want to see. He both can make use of this while also in a small way going against his ideals and it’s for Chrome’s sake by large. I believe anime didn’t really go through this but the manga did. Mukuro remembers his other past lives, and he’s been through the torment of the various hellscapes. He’s seen more than the average person and went through more. Mentally and emotionally that had to be taxing and arduous for the soul.

Elena was Daemon’s light. She was his everything. She was the connection that connected him to the Vongola. When he lost her, a part of him snapped and he in a sense went rogue. He had no tether to keep him grounded. Chrome could’ve died, but Mukuro came in to save/help her. She is his tether. Unlike Daemon who failed to protect her, Mukuro was able to keep Chrome around. The first generation have had failures to some degree where the 10th generation resolve a lot of those failures. It’s almost like a tale of generational healing. The 10th generation are NOT the reincarnations of the primo generation, but they are similar. Eerily so, and that is to so the parallels between them and to show that new generations can pave the way and do things differently to heal from the past.

So you have Chrome and Mukuro sticking together, you have the Vongola and Shimon rekindling their friendship, the guardians not having to live with the fact that they failed to protect their boss and keep him around (cough TYL arc almost counts but doesn’t lol). Chrome, much like Elena was for Daemon, are a tether to keep their guys grounded, but to also help heal their pains through their more gentle nature. Almost like a reminder that the world may suck, but there are still good in the world. Nobles SUCK but some nobles like this daughter of a DUKE cares for all, including the common folk. There exist some nobles who TRULY embody the Noblesse Oblige.

In final arc where Chrome buts in to help strengthen Mukuro’s illusions he even thinks to himself that it’s amazing that someone else can understand his illusions so well and amplify them—he can feel his heart- healing? Chrome is that person that Elena was for Daemon. They both need each other for different things. Chrome eventually became able to make illusions for herself and to become self-sufficient. Sh can be the warrior who can fight alongside Mukuro. This contrasts how Elena likely wasn’t a fighter or did anything on the front lines. Chrome intends to be by Mukuro’s side and fight alongside him. She will not allow herself to just sit idly by. I feel Elena wished she could have done more by Daemon’s side. Take on some more of his burdens and Chrome embodies that regret and she solves it herself.

More towards the end of the series, when Chrome is able to sufficiently care for herself with her own power, that’s when their true symbiotic relationship shines through. There is less of a power imbalance between them. She becomes her own person- as we know that’s why she struggled for a while because she refused his illusions. She had seen him walking about in the flesh, and it was like he wasn’t a part of her anymore and she just couldn’t accept his illusions when she had no real use to him. That, is what shows the imbalance they had. We NEEDED that scene for Chrome to grow and come to terms with what she wanted.

No, she will not allow herself to be a bystander who will just allow herself to be taken care of. She wants to be helpful to Mukuro. She WANTS to be able to stand by him proudly. She WANTS to fight alongside him. This is such a poignant difference between the two generations. It’s so incredibly important to highlight where they differ and how this change shifts the dynamic between the two. Now, it’s more of respected equals. She’s able to be more proud of herself, and to assert what she wants. She is more open to actually being what she had always meant to be: herself. She doesn’t have to rely on someone else, she doesn’t have to associate her being, her IMPORTANCE to someone else. Now, she is truly Chrome Dokuro, and she has chosen for herself that she wants to be Mukuro’s warrior, his comrade.

This is an incredibly important and praiseworthy dynamic shift between the two and this is what makes the ship between them AFTER this point a more healthy one. I don’t have many ideas for cute things between them—and that’s largely due to the fact that I don’t think too much about Mukuro in general because I prefer to avoid him in my mental space. Sorry if any ideas that do come out aren’t very good. I am very hesitant about the knowledge and understanding I have of Mukuro. I don’t think I understand him that well due to the fact that I like to turn my eye away from him. I did try though!

I suppose a cute idea could come in the form of the box animal, where Chrome may like to dote on the owl and care for its feathers. I could perhaps see Mukuro finding it cute to see them bond, but also feel a bit left out because all her attention is on the owl and not himself. Watch him be like pluck the bird from her hands so he can take care of the feathers. Instead why don’t you help him with his hair? Look, brushing hair is epitome of domestic bliss. When someone else brushes my hair it gives me the brain tingles that ASMR is supposed to give you. BLISS. Don’t underestimate small bliss!!!

I just like the idea of Chrome learning how to make simple chocolate desserts from Kyoko/Haru for fun. She learned to make some for her friends but somehow a lot of them end up getting hogged by Mukuro. He likes chocolate for one, but they were also made by Chrome’s hand. He shan’t give them up to other people so easily. I personally am okay with lil greed moments like that. I find it both a lil funny and a lil cute. It would be very funny/cute to me if he got caught and he just tries to play it off like it’s no big deal. NAH BRO YOU GOT CAUGHT.

Sorry, that’s all my brain could think of for now. I have the next portion to go to so let’s move on.

So I’m neutral to it while also somewhat hating it. Most of it comes down to who the characters are. The reason why I’m more neutral towards it…

Just kidding! I’m tired, my fingers have already typed like what… 10k for these ship memes alone? I’ve been writing other stuff too. My poor fingers…

Anyways. I will also state that the reason why I’m very SQUINT about ships including Mukuro is that I see him and Chrome as a duo, a pair. If I see him with anyone else, I start shaking my screen like YOU FUCKER!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU, TO CHROME!!?!?!? I’LL SLAY YOU WHERE YOU STAND. YOU DARE GO ASTRAY FROM THE BEST LIL BEAN, CHROME?????? So yeah. (Yes, I’m biased)

See, here’s the thing, we know that Mukuro dislikes the mafia, and he doesn’t want what evils happened to him to happen to anyone else. Byakuran quite literally in essence mind broke Uni and she was a young lil girl. He has actively acted to kill people, to manipulate them, to use them, to discard people, etc. I can perhaps see him feeling impressed by the extents that Byakuran is willing to go to for his ideals, but ultimately his ideals are such that it goes against Mukuro’s creed.

He is also a reason why his Chrome had to suffer in the TYL arc, due to his evil machinations. Chrome had to be brought to the future and she did suffer some. It was a dangerous time for her. TYL Chrome was also injured if I recall correctly. It’s just a time of you put my Chrome in danger. I do not really see Mukuro being able to look past that.

Now, you can argue that for the sake of his ideals and wanting to manipulate Byakuran, you could do the plan on employing romance or seducing him to lead him in the direction that you want. I honestly can kind of see Mukuro doing so—but in that case, I don’t consider that a ship because it’s not in earnest?

Of course, we do know after TYL arc, Byakuran is different. He is more or less turned good by a factor of ‘well I can’t do any evil any more. I was stuck in limbo for a while until Uni saved me, I shall do what I can to make it up to her. Whether people trust that I intend good or not is up to them~’

One can argue that he’s good now, it’s okay! There is no difference in morals or motives! Still, as we’ve seen with some of the others, they can’t so easily put the ‘past’ aside. They went through a lot of traumatic shit because of Byakuran. He had showed them all just how ugly his motives were when he went ballistic after Uni sacrificed herself. How he literally almost killed Tsuna and all that. That is not an easy thing to look past, so it’s actually very impressive of Tsuna to be able to be willing to put his trust in him, and for Uni to want to bring him out to ask for aid. Both are very impressive individuals.

One can argue that through this change, it is a possibility and that perhaps Mukuro could want to cosey up to him for the benefits of whatever power Byakuran may possess in modern times. His influence, but I mean—he’s under surveillance. He doesn’t seem to really intend to do anything bad, so he wouldn’t be that much use as a pawn or anything like that. So I don’t see the whole seduce in the effort to use tactic.

I suppose you can kind of look at how they both have the tendency to tease others or lowkey mock them through sarcasm and consider that a fun banter between them. That is fun, I won’t lie, but that alone doesn’t constitute as a ship for me. I just personally don’t feel enough of a vibe between them to feel that they could be a ship that isn’t anymore more than a superficial thing.

I like the ship from an aesthetic stand point. Both are very beautiful and the sarcastic kind of banter between the two of them could be fun. It could also be interesting to see how they both continuously try to undermine each other for their ideals, which would again make for a fun dynamic, but that alone just—doesn’t work for me. I do feel there would always be a level of mistrust between them. The fact that you tried to kill me/you killed me kind of mentality would still remain. Mukuro’s ‘death’ wasn’t really a thing as we know, but it was believed for a time (not I. You can’t fool me, Amano!!!!). Byakuran DID die by the hands of the Vongola. That really isn’t easy to move past.

Yes, you can argue that Byakuran’s flighty attitude and his nonchalance may be a sign that he doesn’t really care for it, or doesn’t think much of it, but I disagree. If you pay attention to some of his wording choices in some scenes, he is very cognizant of the fact the future self had done wrong. He feels for the fact he did really fucked up stuff to people, especially Uni. He was willing to do whatever he had to for her sake. He wanted to do something for her and when asked if ‘can we trust you’? He could only really respond with the logical, that’s up to you to decide, because it really is up to them. He was VERY aware that there is 100% reason for them to doubt him. He accepted the fact for what it was and left the decision in the hands of Tsuna.

There is an underlying sense of guilt that he has for what he’d done, even if he may act the same carefree and playful kinda guy. In my mind and observation, it’s somewhat of a mask. I do think it would be easier for others to deal with him if he kept that upbeat kind of personality because that’s what they knew of him. Changing too drastically would be too much. Naturally, I do think it IS a part of his personality, and that is also hard to change. Still, I don’t think his lack of major change to personality shows that he wasn’t affected.

You can see it in some instances of his speech, his willingness to just sacrifice whatever to be of use, to almost prove himself as someone who isn’t that dictator from the future. He wants to solidify a new identity to himself. Given Mukuro’s past and his disdain for the evil corruption of some mafia… I don’t think he and Byakuran are a good match because it’s going to be a constant reminder of who he was.

What that Byakuran had done to Mukuro. It would be incredibly hard to work out a ship between the two and my gut is telling me that neither of them are the sort who would really want to exert such extensive energy to forge a relationship that is past a superficial one based off interests and motives.

However, one could argue that Mukuro could somehow see the modern day Byakuran for what he is, a victim of circumstance. He’s being doubted and disdained for something he literally didn’t do. He can never become that guy again, and yet he’s being treated with negativity and mistrust. The Byakuran of the past hadn’t really done anything (I don’t think he had done anything yet at that point in the timeline to be fair, hence me saying this), so it can feel unfair to him. There is maybe a SMAALLLL chance that Mukuro can see this and watch over Byakuran to see if he’s truly a different person.

Is he trying to do better by everyone? If so, maybe he can offer a small alliance of sorts and they can work together to act against the filth of the mafia. Mukuro gets what he wants and Byakuran gets to do a bit of paying back for the evils his future-self did. In a way, you could say that he’d be resolving some of the knots in his chest brought about from guilt. It can be nice, but then it sorta comes back to what I didn’t like about Chrome and Mukuro at first, that there would be a bit of a power imbalance inherently because one of them is still basically a ‘criminal’ but is trying to repay that by doing good and Mukuro is basically the one who is directing him to do so. For an alliance it would be more titled towards one party.

I don’t like such power imbalances personally, but some people may like it! If you like that, all the power to ya! This could be your cup of tea! I personally don’t really like it, but I can see the merit to it. I think it would be an incredibly fascinating idea for someone to write out. Some relationships in fiction and reality do have a power imbalance, but if you have enough trust in each other, you can make it work. It mostly is an issue if someone has hidden motivations, which, with Mukuro could be likely. That’s what I don’t like, but I think it could mayyyybe work out, but it would take a LOT of work.

Also, if they became a thing what are you going to do about Chrome, huh? You going to start neglecting her? HUH? I’m coming for your pineapple brand and will put you onto pizza.

ANYWAY. speaking of delays, im a whole week later but i did finally manage to watch the last episode of laws of attraction!!!!! i think the resolution to the main plotline was a little rushed and.. contrived, maybe? but writing an ending for a murder mystery that feels natural and seamless is really hard, so i have no problem overlooking that, especially since they gave me MARRIED TINNCHARN ENGAGED ROSEMAYA HAPPY THEETAN AND DEAD THATTHEP!!!!!!! TRULY EVERYTHING I'VE EVER WANTED!!!!!!!! but yeah, as a whole i absolutely LOVED the show!!!!! it's not a perfect one, im objective enough to recognize its flaws, but it was very engaging, it gave us some of the most interesting characters i've ever seen, and all the pairings were great and had fantastic chemistry. i definitely recommend it and it's gonna be in my top 10 BLs of 2023 for sure!!!!!

Part 1 of An Excercise in Patience

Reborn watches the proceedings in silence, his face shows nothing of the frustration coursing through him. Iemitsu is a moron, an idiot of the highest calibre; but Reborn had expected better from Timoteo. Omegas are social creatures; leaving two of them alone in a small town, cut off from the pack, there's no way it wouldn't leave scars. How Timoteo and Iemitsu had expected anything different is a mystery to Reborn. In Tsunayoshi's case, it means the omega doesn't even look at the alphas around him for help, he doesn't think it would be provided. Tsunayoshi believes, at least subconsciously, that alphas are unreliable.

Xanxus isn't the most approachable alpha but he's also a very smart one. It takes him until the Sun battle to notice there's something wrong with the image in front of him. Tsunayoshi is distressed, obviously and visibly. Enough so that Dino intervenes to help Xanxus's Sun but the omega still turns to Xanxus and asks for an explanation without so much as twitching towards his father, Reborn or any other alpha who is supposed to be on his side. Not even when the alphas themselves seem worried about him. Tsunayoshi doesn't mewl to ask for comfort, doesn't cuddle up to any of them. Nothing.

It takes the Lighting battle for Xanxus to act on it. Tsunayoshi is furious, fangs bared as he all but growls at the Cervello, even as he is attempting to stop Iemitsu. Xanxus takes that in, arches a brow and stands. It shuts up the Varia and the sudden change, in turn, draws Tsunayoshi's attention. Nobody moves, not until Xanxus snatches Lambo from Iemitsu and deposits him in Tsunayoshi's arms. It makes Tsunayoshi twitch but even when he offers his gratitude, he barely looks at Xanxus. Most of his attention is on checking the pup over.

"Let's talk this out." Iemitsu shifts when Xanxus gestures towards the tree line, guiding Tsunayoshi away from the group.

Tsunayoshi ignores it, of course, he has no reason to care for his father's distrust. He offers the pup over to Hayato and follows, fairly certain that he knows where this is going.

The Varia Commander stops once they're far enough away. "Who is your alpha?"

"I have none," Tsunayoshi shrugs. It's sweet, the worry. If it's real. Tsuna can't be bothered to overanalyze it.

"You're Vongola," Xanxus insists and Tsuna makes a face at him. He understands perfectly well what the alpha is asking, he doesn't need the clarification. "Who looks after you and your mother?"

"We look after each other." Tsuna doesn't bare his fangs but he does cross his arms over his chest. When Xanxus just stares, he adds: "We're fine." It's a little offensive that the alpha would think otherwise.

Xanxus blinks, reaching for Tsuna's nape. Tsuna ducks the attempt, uncomfortable with letting some unknown alpha try to settle him down. Xanxus stills but pulls his hand away. "Right," he takes a step back. "We're putting the battles on hold." It can be dealt with later. Whatever else baby Sawada is, he's also a Vongola omega and obviously neglected. Xanxus decides it's better to make sure baby Sawada is actually alright and healthy first, the problem is going to be to convince baby Sawada that 1) those are Xanxus's intentions and 2) baby Sawada should allow himself and his situation to be examined.

Judging by the uncompromising body language of the omega in front of him, Xanxus already knows it's going to be an uphill battle.

Chrome and Mukuro? another secret third thing that's different from Tsuna and Hibari's secret third thing. Hibari and Mukuro? frenemies (but more so bordering on enemies). Okay so of all the manga canon arcs my least favourite is the future arc, only because I felt it dragged on a little too much but otherwise it was a fine arc also it has the least amount of Reborn screentime /lh. HOWEVER, the filler arcs? Specifically the arcobaleno trials arc? My nemesis. I dislike them so much. Okay, so I've gone into it a bit before on my other blog as to why I don't like them or don't consider them canon (you can read that here if anyone is interested ★) but even in that post I was trying so hard to be nice about it kjdsahak.

They're bad. They represent the Arcos so poorly and one thing I didn't even mention in my post is the stupid arcobaleno pact they added to the fillers which?? makes no sense??? Literally contradicts canon information we have on the arcobalenos. Like what do you mean they can't attack one another and if one does everyone else needs to gang up and attack them back? What's the point of that? Also they've literally been attacking each other from day one, literally our first introduction to Colonnello and Skull was the mafia land chapters where they're all fighting and Skull attacks the whole place dsakjhad. (and also how do they know so little about the curse itself but they know about this pact? when was this ever communicated to them?? Did Checkerface just give them a set of guidelines and they were just chill with following it??)

And this is a topic I have talked about with another friend too but other arcobaleno characters also were written kinda poorly, Verde being one of them. Uni, being part of the 10th generation, if we go by the logic of "whatever species Kawahira and Sepira were, they need to reproduce by sexual intercourse", it would mean that Uni herself is really not too much of an alien, but that the Alien Gene is strong enough that even diluded genes still give you future vision powers. Their species were dying, so if we go full on crack, Sepira's daughter could be full-on alien if she paired with Kawahira, but otherwise the other ladies had to get human partners.

HOWEVER, isn't the whole Giglio Nero thing just kind of... weird? Like, we see Luce being pregnant (meaning that they do be pregnant), but Aria managed to hide it enough so that even Gamma didn't know she had Uni? This kind of pregnancies happen, don't get me wrong, but it seems weirdly convenient that this could happen when she needed it. Not to mention, they are just too similar to one another! Yeah, KHR has that weird thing with reincarnation (hello Giotto & Tsuna) and same-face-families (hello Hibari & Fon and the entire Cervello), but none were shown to be as extreme as the Giglio Nero, because for all accounts, the Cervello are kinda made to be that way, but the Giglio Nero really... isn't. There is no need for them to look so similar to one another. Cervello has a reason to do so, the Giglio Nero does not.

So that weird gene thing going on, combined with me being mildly insane AND combined with a bit of a weird evidence leads me to one theory that the Giglio Nero is, in fact, a family led by weird mitosis-based people that can mimick human biology well enough and that has much shorter "pregnancies" period but it's still ther, but also short enough so Aria can fuck off for a month, give birth and come back no problemo

I do think that Sepira OG weird alien gene might have bled into the later generations, but more than that, I think it would be POSSIBLE (not canon, more into the realm of theories really) that Uni IS just straight up 100% alien BECAUSE they don't really mingle with humans genetically.

Now, I think that if we go by "they have weird and fucked up biology" route, I think that the type of immortality they would have is the "Hivemind" type.

Why? This is based on that panel where Uni says that "she loved Gamma like her mother did". This is weird, right? Obvs Aria could tell her that he loved Gamma, but the way the put it makes me think that is possible that the Giglio Nero can't pass information to their daughters like that, but strong emotions can go down to them no problem. It would be weird for Uni to love Gamma based on what we seen of them, but if Giglio Nero is essencially just "continuing" to exist in what would be different incarnations of the same person, it would make sense for that love to continue like it is.

Could also explain her maturity. She has all this baggage from other women, so she knows their kindness and their light, but she is still young and for the best, it would also be nice if she could ahve those experiences firsthand isntead of hand-me-downs, considering how she felt in her sacrifice during TYL arc.

SO BASICLY: Based on very little, I think that Uni is a little fucked up immortal in a chain of many people that not only share but fully understand her feelings, and even after she dies, she will still live on with her daughter because the Giglio Nero ladies continue to exist even after they have no physical body.

I think you're confusing Cervello a band from Stockholm with Italian 70s band Cervello? Italian band Cervello has no album called Cervello, they only have 1 album and 1 live album (2017). You're talking about Swedish band Cervello who worked with him? Otherwise I agree that Gasoline sounds generic, that you can't distinguish what they wrote and what not (I also disagree with the anon who said they can't do everything alone anymore because they tour now - I know it's news to some people but they have been really busy before the US or even Eurovision already and they managed and they would have had time to do that in LA. Oh yes, from the people they write with now) and realise that why people actually liked them is not because of Beggin' or because they chilled in the USA with Miley Cyrus looking like a bunch of influencers - Sorry Vic. All three of them have massive potential to be the bests in what they do and having people agree on it but not like this. KHR

For those who have no idea what KHR is, it is an anime staring Tsunayoshi Sawada as he is forced kicking and screaming(literally) into being the 10th Don of the Vongola Family. Which is the strongest mafia family in Italy(possibly in the whole underworld, I forget). Accompanying poor, civilian Tsuna is his demonic hitman tutor Reborn who is not only the World’s Number 1 Hitman, but also does all his shenanigans in the body of 2 year old. No I will not elaborate.

Also this is not the normal mafia. No, this mafia has magic rainbow fire powers. As you do. That is, the color and power is based on what appears to be some odd combination of genetics, personality, and near death experiences. I will now give a brief overview of the phenomenon that are Dying Will Flames.

Sky Flames- The Orange Flame and acts the most like fire according to the Wiki. It’s trait is Harmony. Collects Guardians (usually 1 of each different Flame type). Are typically shoehorned into being the bosses and is considered some form of spiritual glue. Is the rarest of the Flame types. Poor Tsuna has this Flame.  “ Sun, Lightning, Storm, Rain, Mist, Cloud-- He envelops them all, he accepts them all. That is the Sky's purpose.”  -Cervello

Storm- The Red Flame and it’s trait is Disintegration. Self explanatory. An example of a Storm user is Hayato. “Continuously at the heart of the attack, the furious Storm that never rests.” -Belphegor

Rain- The Blue Flame and it’s trait is Tranquility. It can slow attacks or even an opponents movements. AN example of a Rain user is Takeshi. “To square away conflict and wash away the blood spilled. The Requiem of Rain.” -Mammon

Sun- The Yellow Flame and it’s trait is Activation. It can speed up the body’s natural healing abilities and can “activate” muscles and joints, increasing someone’s strength. An example of a Sun user is Reborn. “Destroying the misfortune that attacks the Famiglia with their own body, they become the Sun that brightly shines upon an area.” -Reborn

Lightning- The Green Flame and it’s trait is Hardening. It can increase the firmness of objects. It’s very defensive in nature. An example of a Lightning user is Lambo. “To draw damage to himself and away from the rest of the Famiglia, serving as a lightning rod.” -Reborn

Cloud- The Purple Flame and it’s trait is Propagation. Meaning if you have 1 knife you can use it to suddenly have 7 or increase your strength. Is the 2nd rarest Flame type. An example of a Cloud user is Hibari (also me according to some quizzes). “A drifting Cloud, whom cannot be bound. Protecting the famiglia from an independent standpoint.” -Cervello

Mist- The Indigo Flame and it’s trait is Construction. Not only can Mists craft illusions, the powerful ones can also bend and warp reality. An example of Mist user is Mukuro. “Creating from nothing into something, turning something into nothing; bewildering the enemy, so making the famiglia untouchable.” -Reborn

And that’s my basic overview! If I have piqued your interest instead of boring you, Crunchyroll has the anime (admittedly the first arc, the Daily Life arc, is a bit of a slog, but the action really picks up in the next one and doesn’t slow down), or my favorite, Fanfiction. KHR fanfiction is fabulous because we don’t actually get many details on how Flames work beyond the bare minimum(don’t believe me? Check the Wiki, it’s only barely more informative than what I’ve typed above) so that means each author tends to put their own theories on how it all works and the worldbuilding tends to be amazing. Special shout out some of my favorite authors: Secret-Engima has some great KHR fics, the fabulous duo of wolfsrainrules and northpeach, and a very special mention to Umei no Mai for “Black Sky” which sits at a whopping 334 chapters of fabulousness. That last one is also a crossover with Harry Potter, but the worldbuilding for both is amazing and even if you’re not really a Potter fan, is very much a worthwhile read and you don’t really need to know much about either considering the liberties Umei no Mai takes with said worldbuilding.

▲ Yeah the aa mentor died but I think it would be funny if Reborn just survived a beating and he’s refusing to tell Tsuna what actually happened to train him in court because he would do this in canon

▲ Tsuna’s special ability is hyper intuition. Like Apollo, he can kinda tell when people are lying, but more than anything he just can tell if someone is a genuine, good person. He gets a client like Matt Engarde and he’s just, deeply unsettled

▲ Gokudera does forensics and he’s always so fucking excited to help Tsuna. He’s mentored by Verde and he always rambles on about how the accused couldn’t have done it to support Tsuna, even if his theories end up a bit farfetched

▲ Yamamoto and Ryohei do their own thing but they’re recurring characters who just always get caught up as a witness in Tsuna’s cases. He has had to defend for them at least once. Ryohei boxes but is also training to be a nurse and Yamamoto is a baseball player who also works in a dojo. He still has his baseball bat that turns into a fucking sword

▲ Haru can be a reporter but honestly I love the idea of Haru still being in the mafia. Like, she makes disguises and commits petty crimes and unintentionally adds more layers to the cases’ twists just by being there, but by aa logic no one can arrest her because she technically has not murdered or committed the main crime

▲ Kyoko keeps my hc of being a ballerina but she’s also studying to be a nurse with Ryohei!!

▲ Hibari is a prosecutor and he’s so fucking scary

▲ Mukuro is also a prosecutor. He’s like Blackquill, they let him out of prison to prosecute in court

▲ Chrome may work with Mukuro but she seems like she’d want to defend like Tsuna. She will defend on her own accord if need be or if she deeply cares enough for someone, but will more often assist either Tsuna or Mukuro because she’s attached to them as friends

▲ It would be funny if they all still had their fucked up abilities but they just use it in court. Hibari shoots a chain at Tsuna out of his tonfa and Mukuro’s can still summon snakes on him

▲ I was gonna say Cervello is the judge but I thought Byakuran would be a more interesting choice. He does NOT care how much the prosecutors attack Tsuna, and he’s really just here to watch the drama unfold. He eats marshmallows the whole time and makes this face when there’s a twist

Spoilers for a manga that’s been over for awhile - KHR

Aaargh, curse the KHR manga’s abrupt end, I want more Kawahira. Silver-haired immortal genderfluid (it’s pretty clear the ‘old woman’ who had tea with Haru and offered her a place to hide (from bullies?) if she ever needed one was a previous identity of his, which implies the ‘daughter’ I-pin borrowed a kimono from is the next ‘generation’ of cover identities an immortal needs to use) illusionist who is in a position where he has to make Hard Choices but instead of going ‘I’m doing the Right ThingTM’ is willing to go along with the first possible chance for an alternative even if his worst enemies are involved... (Although another reason is that he himsel isn’t going to last forever and he’d like the world to outlive him)

Also definitely has a sense of humor, given the ‘three ex-wives’ description of the freaking Tri-ni-sette he must have mentioned to I-pin for her to mention he’s been married three times. Would certainly have a ‘yeah I deserved that’ reaction to always getting soggy ramen~ (There is a crossover where he and a reincarnated Naruto have a showdown over which ramen flavor is best and I NEED more content like that). No arrogance/looking down on humans - he’s quite willing to look like an idiot in the process of saving a bunch of kids from getting vaporized. He cares enough about Haru’s feelings to take time in an emergency to console her that the old woman who was kind to her ‘died happy’ at least.

Yeah a system that maintains all (sentient? Will of its own?) life on earth isn’t going to last THAT long w/o tech support. 

The last mystery remaining in the manga is the Cervello and I’m 99% sure the Vindice are behind them given their association with the ‘order’ of the mafia, which is a Vindice thing; how it’s established that at least one Vindice creates identical puppets so they COULD be making and controlling the Cervello; and how they back Byakuran in attaining ultimate power, probably to kill Checkerface. ‘Why haven’t the Vindice done something about Byakuran?’ is a question asked in multiple fics, which implies it’s not answered in the manga, so the answer very well could be that he’s doing what they want him to do.

There’s also ‘what’s up with Wonomichi’ but he’s probably a mist creation himself made to do the customer service work/interact with the people.

Forget-Me-Not: The fact that EVERYONE stopped what they were doing when they heard that, not just Yuu, I just, okay while that is nice of the Varia, the idea of Tsuna grave being wrexked like that, I, I hope Yuu found those bastards and sent them to the hospital. Because seriously, what the fuck is wrong with Nanamori. I hope Yuu was given permission to stay behind and gaurd Tsuna's grave during the Sky Battles after that happened.

She stayed kneeling for a moment with her forehead on the ground, whispering forgiveness to the grave in front of her before she stood up and tried to fix the grave as best she can by throwing out the water and filling the holes with dirt again.

The next day, she went on a hunt. Yuu spent the night in the church with the beaten delinquents and tortured them until they spilled info she wanted to hear. She wanted a name for her blacklist.

The priest was given a rundown of the situation and turned a blind eye when Hinata came to pick up the unconscious bodies to drop off near the junkyard.

Mammon stalked Yuu and watched as she beats the fucker responsible for what happened to Tsuna's grave until he can barely move other than twitching. She was close to killing him if Mahiru didn't stop her. He helped her dump the body into the same junkyard as the delinquents are in.

She's no longer present for the next battle since she was given permission by the Cervello to skip it so she can guard Tsuna's grave. But she must be present for the Sky battles. Of course Xanxus promised to send one of his men in her place to guard the gravestone.
