Sparring and Hers. I was going to ask about Ballad of the Goddess and then remembered I’d asked about that one already and I think it’s the other NSFW for Uneasy Lies Chosen of Farore 😅

Yeah when I put this up I was very WELP any speculation about how Song of the Hero/Ballad of the Goddess relate is probably resolved. Both of those chapters ended up as split out side stories from the original Farore and they have dumb names (The Night Before Ordon and After the Boss Battle) I struggled with what to call them for a while and then decided I would name them after important Skyward Sword songs.

So back in like 2022, I think, when I was still allowed to participate in ZeLink week, sparring was one of the prompts and I had already decided to do all the prompts based on things I could expand on from Farore. I also figured everyone and their dog would do some verbal or physical thing between Link and Zelda and that sounded boring to me, so I tried to think of a way to flip it on its ear and decided that the way to do this was to have Zelda spar with herself and her emotions…and that’s the stand alone thing that got folded into Farore as Zelda’s cut scene.

The next chapter does include Link struggling with himself and all his bad choices to date and he spars with Impa both literally and figuratively. That was sort of hand waved in the original fic, and got expanded on in a 5 chapter thing called The Constant which focuses on the Link and Impa relationship. It’s extended scenes that deepen and explore that relationship and four of them got folded into the rewrite. Anyway,I chose not to name the chapters in that fic, but Sparring made sense so I swiped that title and renamed the one where Zelda is fantasizing about things she could do with her hero.

The other fic is Breath of the Wild and it explicitly retells Link and Zelda first time together. The first chapter is his POV and the second is hers. His is all set up and foreplay and ramp up. Her goes into her bedroom. It is a prequel to my one shot Reunion. That one is set after BOTW and is still TOTK compatible. I’ve got a whole series of head cannons about the ZeLink in BOTW and TOTK that are very slowly getting parsed out.

Like almost everything I’ve written either locks into Farore or into the same version of BOTW that runs in my head

Hi!!! 💖 We've finally hit 20 chapters and 150k!! Holy crap- I'm honestly still in shock I've come this far! In just under 3 weeks, this story will be a year old- this month last year I was on my way home from work, listening to music and thinking up the very beginnings of Ofelia. Now she's a fully fledged, goofy idiot. I'm so happy to be here and so glad I've met you all! Thank you for sticking it out with me and reading my words- it means the world to me. 🫂

Each step feels unsteady, though by no fault of her previous affliction. It’s her own writhing stomach, doing flips at the prospect of hearing whatever Astarion wants to “talk” to her about.

Getting led out of the outpost, on his heels, a reflection of that sorry night in the woods… she’d been wound so tight that the Spectator rising from the ground to narrow its one, beady eye at her, had almost been a blessing. That was until her mind and vision began to blank and it leeched her consciousness, stealing the warning right off her tongue as her mouth turned to stone.

It’s the same unease that clung to her throat then, stacking with the concern of whether or not he’d made it out of that battle unscathed. The weight on her shoulders grows heavier with each step, and she fears seeing his face again, though she pushes it away to latch onto the concern for him she knows runs hot, always beneath the surface.

After a few minutes of bated breath down the rugged corridor, she finds him sitting in a verdant patch of flora she can’t tell is grass, flowers, or moss.

The mushrooms around him range from the sizes she’s used to back home, to as tall as shrubs and bushes. Most glow ethereally, casting the cave walls in shades of blue and orange. Her eyes track over the crystals overhead and in copses where the wall meets the floor, all reflecting off a glittering, shallow pond that Astarion peers into.

You guys know how there's Raven Neil and Andrew fics right well I was playing around with c.ai ( don't judge me please I was bored) and I was asking kevin to list characters and some he got on point others were so off but he said Aaron was in Edger Allan I was like damn these bots are funny hours later I'm still thinking about it.

Aaron in Edger Allan? How would that work? I got so invested in the idea I was like hell I suck at writing but this is an cool concept I can't let it go

Currently drafting the plot and a whole bunch of shit some things I know what I want to happen and all that others not so much

Sitting beside Vick, Hazelle notes the now-familiar cursive as she opens the envelope and unfolds the letter from it. She reads that Tigris enjoyed her roasted acorns, eating half of them for dinner the day she received her package, and found the pickled ramp went well with steak tartare - whatever that is.

And the pillowcase she sent, Tigris writes, is impressive. Her stitches look respectable and the fabric scraps are placed in a way that tells her Hazelle has an eye for design.

You are quite literally working with scraps, and yet it is the most charming thing in my apartment. I don't dare lay my head on it. Thank you for sending it to me.

Tigris ends the letter saying that there's been talk of her commission since the clothing drive.

Everyone's very curious to see the results. Expect some attention. I think this has potential.

Hazelle blinks at her signature and rereads the closing lines again.

"What's it say?" Vick asks from upside down. His face starts to flush from hanging off the edge of the bed.

"She liked the things I sent," she answers. And so might the Capitol.

it actually isn't! it's like. one of the most self indulgent things i think ive ever written.

it's just two missing nin travelling and going through slice of life adventures that sometimes intersect with canon characters. it starts a year after the kyuubi attack, so both the mcs are older than most of the cast by either a few years or a uhhh lot more years than they look.

ill give you some little snipits under the keep reading if you're interested. not sure when we'll start posting, and im pretty sure i wont be putting it on my patreon. sorry, it gets weird trying to figure out how to split money with a cowritten fic. how do i know who is reading the cowritten thing and who isn't? i dont want to steal from my friend over fanfic D:
