i have... never actually written established!relationship (in any fandom), now that i'm thinking about it? that said, i guess i can come up with a quick list of some headcanons, maybe? 😂 i will have to think about this more, but for now, here's a quick drop:

elsa is an early riser; elsa helps jack create more sustainable sleeping patterns and habit formations 😂

when jack gets Impetuous Urges to Do Something Rash and Impractically Spontaneous, elsa will ground jack, reminding him to think before acting. (he occasionally Still Does It, anyway.) elsa knows what she signed up for, lol.

jack loves to play Harmless(!) Pranks, just to watch elsa’s reaction. (he is no longer allowed to sneak up on her after The Incident).

they also quibble over the definition of "harmless" and the specific logistical implications of that; for a while, jack was banned from further pranking, but then he got more creative at showing elsa that pranks could be wholesome and genuine, in which they could both be in on the joke. however, due to elsa's deeply-rooted Need to Excel and her (Not-so)Secret Competitive AF Streak, her retaliation in escalating the Cleverness Prank War quickly resulted in jack's prompt implementation of the Prank-Free Zones and Time Periods. (no, he was not scared.)

elsa, usually reserved, has learned to let her playful side show more often with jack. she might still pretend to be exasperated by his antics, but sometimes it's part of the game (or habit).

elsa sill struggles with opening up emotionally sometimes, but she progressively feels safe enough to share her innermost thoughts and fears. with time, she confides in him more about her worries. she still never likes the idea that jack sees her Imperfect Parts, but at least she can tolerate the discomfort (and, yes, take comfort in it) now

(jack loves elsa's Imperfect Parts, and jack admits that he is Weirdly Proud and Competitively Honored to be one of the only people, even including anna, who gets to see them. he also is strangely Comforted and Validated that elsa is, in fact, not perfect because for a while there, he was pretty freaked out and intimidated by how fancy she is.)

until he realized that no one ever let her actually be a Weirdo before, and once he realizes the Truth of Elsa Also Being a Secret (albeit perhaps more Subdued) Weirdo, the Universe Aligns.

jack listens to elsa's Big Conversations intently, activating varying levels of Serious Mode.

jack is getting better at recognizing the moments when elsa needs him to play and needs him to listen or Give His Opinion or any combination of those things.

jack learns that it's not always about Saying the Right Thing (which he is not very good at, anyway, or so our Serially Unreliable Narrator thinks), but rather being able to read elsa's mood and anticipate what she might need (even if she is not aware of it herself yet).

elsa is meticulous about planning and preparing for special occasions.

elsa likes traditions! jack likes tradition only because elsa likes them, lol, and hey, okay, these are more fun than he thought?? (who knew fun could be organized??!!?)

so he really wants to show (off to) her by pulling off Incredible Planning Feats in her honor, too (they do not go as smoothly, lol).

jack will often go out of his way to spontaneously create something meaningful, a moment or a gift or a gesture, that reminds elsa that he cares. he is big on words of affirmation, gift giving (but like, souvenirs that he collects on adventures like, "i saw this rock and it reminded me of your cousin olaf, we should put it on the window after we paint his face on it"), and acts of service, as well as physical touch and quality time. HE WANTS LOVE. he wants TO BE LOVED. he wants to prove that he is worthy of being loved.

(and elsa has to get him to Chill Out sometimes, remind him that he doesn't have to Do Things For Her/Anyone in order to be deserving of care; he is more than what he provides for other people.)

(jack gets its, and appreciates it, but also, the Urge to Provide and Protect is still strong, even after so much time, and sometimes Old Habits Die Hard.)

i get the sense that he'd be the type to he wake elsa up in the middle of the night to take her on a surprise adventure, or convince her to Do a Fun Thing without any preparation (/warning).

and she would Be Alarmed at the Lack of Plan (especially if/when jack Did Not Think This Through), but he also took precautions to ward off Concerns by pacifying her with tea, or reassurances that yes, he did call ahead to make sure the restaurant was open before they left the house, of course he did, he would never just leave home without double-checking beforehand (and frantically googles it two minutes later when he thinks she's not looking; she is, naturally, and even occasionally pretends not to be).

elsa approaches conflict with a desire to resolve things Calmly and Logically. she tries to understand jack’s perspective, even when she disagrees, and she’s careful with her words, not wanting to escalate the situation.

however, she can sometimes withdraw emotionally, fearing that she might say something hurtful if she’s too overwhelmed.

jack was initially (and, honestly, still is, even though he understands more now) hurt by her tendency to shut down when she Feels Too Much, and understands (although it's still hard) that elsa needs time to process her feelings and organize her thoughts.

jack also helps elsa actually Feel her Feelings, instead of just trying to intellectualize and analyze them. (she hates it, BUT sees the value. jack lives for these moments in which he realizes that he's actually contributing positively to her life and helping her in some way, rather than just being a burden or a nuisance, as was/is his fear.)

his initial reaction might be to push for a resolution quickly, but he’s also deeply afraid of Creating Distance between them, so after the first few fights, he really makes an effort to find the right balance between Pushing Hard Enough and Not Pushing Too hard, so that he doesn't drive a wedge between them as they work things out.

jack FEELS intensely, and can be so stubborn. he does not always have the most precise vocabulary or tools to describe his thoughts and feelings, or identify the root causes of what is actually going on inside him; sometimes elsa asks a lot of insightful and guiding questions that help jack come to the conclusions himself, and other times, she Puts Into Words the very thing that he had been thinking or feeling, but could not name, and it is very reassuring to have someone who understands him well enough to be able to do that.

after conflicts or arguments, they take time to Decompress and reassure one another (especially if at least one of them, if not both, was Overthinking again).

when they argue (and healthy couples do, remember!), it’s a dance of patience and understanding: elsa might need a moment to Collect Herself, and jack learns to give her that Space while also making it clear that he’s ready to talk whenever she is, and that he is going to try very hard to be Rational and Patient About It.

in the end, they both prioritize their relationship over any disagreement, always finding a way back to each other.

Tbhx omegaverse headcanons part 3: Lucky Cyan and Queen arcs (masterlist for this au)

Cyan

Incredibly delayed presentation. Her worshipers believed that she was “pure” and a goddess/ that she was incapable of being tied to anything remotely sexual, and that belief stopped the presentation process

She was unable to produce her own scent during that time + couldn't be scent marked by anyone else

Luo tried his best to pack bond with her but he didn't exactly have the strongest scent himself, so there was only so much he could do in that regard

She remained unpresented until a couple years into working as a hero. Liu Zheng was concerned it could cause health issues down the line if she didn't present as anything (as she was not having the typical hormone changes that come with presenting/ second puberty), so him and Mickey came up with a marketing scheme to get the public to believe her secondary gender was something so they'd will her into being it

She was given full control over what gender was chosen. Like, they would've been cool with it even if she chose to be a Beta. Honest to god this was for health reasons 

Little Johnny’s “nesting is the best” propaganda won her over and she decided to present as an omega (bonus that it also made it easier for her to work with kids as they were naturally calmed by her scent) 

One of the heroes that's had an easier time with being an omega. Her position as a musician and good luck charm put her in a more supportive role in the public's eyes (keeping her out of the “omegas shouldn't fight” discourse), and she isn't at the age where she's expected to be married/mated yet (keeping her out of the “where's your husband/wife” discourse)

Smells like peppermint, ginger root, and cardamom 

Pack-bonded with Luo, Queen, and Johnny 

Queen

Initially presented as an omega, but after her speech, the public believed she was an alpha and forced the transition

The belief that she was an alpha came from a mix of different places. While a lot of people were just like “ya- cool, confident, fighter lady. Of course she's an alpha,” others were thinking more like “only an alpha would have that level of audacity” and “ah, alpha woman- she's out of the gene pool”

The transition happened early enough on in her life that it didn't disrupt her routine that much. Like, her omega instincts were already new and it just switched to a different new set of instincts 

Lost the urge to build nests along with most of her omega instincts, but kept the desire to sit in nests. Brings Johnny and Cyan stuff for theirs like a crow bringing someone shiny objects and has a soft spot for squishy things

She doesn’t have the best understanding of scent etiquette. She’ll wear mufflers for hero work, but refuses to wear them during her day to day life. 

She can control her scent as well as pretty much any other adult can, but in general, she doesn’t really see the point. Fake ass mfs see this as a threat, people who are tired of dealing with fake ass mfs see this as an instant “cool, I can trust her” thing. It does get her in trouble at work though. 

She isn’t receptive to scents of people she’s not bonded with (like, she knows what the scents are/ mean but she just doesn’t care), but super weak to scents of people she is bonded with. Her scent also has an incredibly protective, “touch this person and you’ll die” quality to it, so her packmates like having it on them

Smells like Insam-ju, dark chocolate, dates, and hint of salt

Pack-bonded with Cyan, Johnny, and Liu Zeng

Luo

Initially presented as a Beta, but transitioned to being an alpha after Cyan left

In part as a defense mechanism (strong scent kept the Dean away), in part because rumors of him being a “wild, feral alpha” spread along with the rumors of him being bad luck 

Actually did suffer a feral episode cuz of the fear goop

The child abuse trauma + scent deprivation at a young age + getting infected by the fear goop left him susceptible to having more feral episodes even after Cyan calmed him down from the first one 

Currently (as in post rescue) doing doctor supervised microdoses of rut suppressants. They don't fully stop his ruts, but they muffle his instincts and remove a lot of the stress of ruts, helping lower the risks of him suffering another feral episode 

Smelled like ginger root as a beta, green tea and lemon got added to the mix as an alpha 

Pack Bonded with Cyan

Bowa

Assigned Beta at birth but intentionally transitioned into being an Alpha

While working in the agency, she did a lot of posturing and wore heavy perfumes. Her social media presence was mostly just her posting pictures of herself doing “Alpha activities”

Mickey confiscated her social media privileges after she became a hero for being too much of a tryhard. He was worried she’d ruin her brand

Eventually she was able to convince the public that she was an Alpha though

The only real tells she still has that she wasn’t socialized as an Alpha is that she isn’t the best at controlling her scent and she has next to no idea what others scents mean (and she’s too committed to the bit to just ask at this point)

Was pissed when Queen showed up to the scene as an Alpha already

Smells like cedar, sandalwood, and saffron 

Dean

Presented as an omega, functionally a beta

Post retiring from being a hero, public perception of him faded. As a result, his heats stopped and his scent faded 

He can still force his scent to come out in short bursts, but most of the time, he smells like nothing 

For better or worse he's still responsive to others scent though

Smells like Jasmine and orange blossoms

Liu Zheng

Alpha in his youth, settles down into being a Beta with age (something he says makes his life significantly easier) 

Though Queen's scent is on him so often people still mistake him for an alpha 

Idk if he and the Dean were mates but they definitely courted at some point

Smells like dates and salt

Mickey 

Omega in an evil mom kinda way 

Has a ridiculous level of control over his own scent. Can go from a soft, comforting smell to so intense people around him will feel like they’re choking in a second

Smells like plum wine, saffron, and cinnamon bark

Johnny

He’s an omega and his experience with presenting was not great, but he’s pretty content with being an omega nowadays. I’ll elaborate after his arc

idk if this is a Hot Take but i don't think you should necessarily let the original medium or canon or whatever stop you with rp. sometimes it's far more interesting to rewrite a character into a different world or genre, or change half their backstory but keeping a few touchstones. sometimes the friction of characters from two completely different worlds meeting and trying to interact is so much more engaging than coming up with an AU so that these characters "make sense" together. use canon characters as putty to mold and shape and reshape into whatever you want. i have multiple ocs that are technically canons but i've stretched them so far from the source material that they're their own thing now. it's toys it's dolls!!! get weird and fun with it!!!!!!!

     She sat on a bench in the garden, a little bit aways from the welcoming soiree being held for a visiting prince. Thankfully there were plenty of people to entertain their guest, allowing her to step away for just a moment, advantages of having a large family.

‘ he is a friend of yours? ’ @divinehr asked.

     “Hm?” Her attention turned away from the visiting captain. She hadn’t realized she had been staring, or that the matron had sat down beside her.

     It took several seconds for the question to register. “Oh!” Amelia knows better than to try and lie, and the blush spreading up her neck and across her cheeks all but answered the question for her. Of course the other woman noticed, very little ever got past her, and while the queen didn’t think Priscilla would press the issue at the current moment if she did lie, her answer would only lead to more questions that would be asked later.

     Her gaze turned to one of the blooming flowers around them, her fingers running along the edges of one of the leaves, intentionally not looking back to the Captain or the woman beside her. Her cheeks still felt hot, and she was doing a rather poor job of hiding it. Thankfully it had been her mother and not her brother or one of her cousins, otherwise she never would hear the end of it. “Yes, you could call him a friend I suppose.”

;;Clarification on verses and how I generally handle Post-TYBW:

In my opinion, Rukia being settled and having a family is nearly a prerequisite for Rukia assuming captaincy. That or some other significant event for her, which I don't know the shape of at the moment. In canon, it's only when her child is more grown that she actually takes the title(10 years after the end of the war), so she remains acting captain for a long time even if fully compliant. I would suggest by default that you assume she's lieutenant but fully assuming the responsibilities of an acting captain of the thirteenth if wanting to do something post TYBW. If you say post-TYBW I'm usually picturing this length of time.

OR if you want full captain Rukia, just remember that you are adding at least a 10 year gap for her to take up the rank... >3> I'm open to other ideas on discussion as well, just talk to me on them so we're on the same page.

Not noting this because I want to avoid the verse where she's captain. it's the opposite really. I think this point is very interesting, and want to get into the headspace of her here and what leads up to this more so. It's really more of an invite because I want to detail out before she makes captaincy and her headpiece and ten years is lot to fill in for my brain and I know there are significant things that happen before that point I want to fill in.

Some headcanons on her and captaincy:

She will actively respond to Captain Rukia, and or Kuchiki-taichou even while just acting captain, but make fun of you on getting your eyes checked or something.

With the passing of her captain, she's very reflective and actively refuses the title or pressure to take the rank. In her heart is some uncertainty in her life's direction, and some thoughts on making the most of life, where that takes her is open though. I don't think it specifically needs to take the shape of canon, but it is some kind of journey or change in focus for her. She's stops just looking at what's in front of her and maybe even looks back and beyond.

Her absolute first priority after thousand year blood war is looking after what remains of her squad. She knows she's now the highest officer that remains for them to look towards after they've lost someone who has been there so long and was important to so many. More than herself, she puts her squadmates first and will shut down and hide her own grieving or emotions to look after them and be the sign of strength that they can lean on.

She attends meetings in place of a captain for the thirteenth while acting captain.

Rukia still thinks she has a lot to learn, on leadership, and particularly on her bankai before taking on the full role of captain.

You could change my mind with a good thread on it or maybe have the right person talk to her, but this is my current mindset, until something makes me think different ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

vasilissa could admire the kind of killer that cato was. it wasn't her style. she was quiet and deadly, and that had always worked for her. it still worked for her. brute strength could be just as useful though, and he proved that. she'd been given access to his academy scores, and his scores from tribute training. and now, well, she saw further potential. she'd gone out of her way to find a time when he was alone, because she didn't intend to lie to him about her identity like she did with most people. she bided her time, not wanting to put him on edge. part of her had wanted to toy with him, to follow him for as long as she could before he realized, but even for her that was cruel, especially when she wanted someone on her side.

she'd never been in two, and she knew the longer she spent out in the open the more attention she'd draw. she didn't want just anyone's attention, she wanted his. she settled on finding him in his home, knocking sharply on the door and waiting. she stood on the stoop, the strange feeling of missing her own district washing over her. four was much different, but she hadn't been home since her games. she didn't see anything familiar and yet... she straightened, pushing away the thoughts of four and of the sea she forced herself not to miss. she had business here.

Updates on Secret Origins

To keep things from getting too cluttered, I decided separating the Origins universe from Mystery Kids might work better in the long run; if anyone wants to follow me on @secret-origins-crossover then please feel free to!

This is mostly going into a quick, not too in depth version of what to expect for Secret Origins and the main arcs within it! To briefly explain, it is a joint crossover between Randy Cunningham: 9th Grade Ninja, Danny Phantom, American Dragon: Jake Long, and Miraculous Ladybug. The Secret Origins arc is meant to be a five-part prequel of how the characters met, and will expand unto a main series with more shenanigans.

Arc Overview

[UNTITLED] - Part 1 of 5: An unexpected family vacation leads to Danny and the rest of the Fentons spending a week in Paris, France; things take a sudden turn when he begins realizing there are more heroes than he thoughts- now teaming up with Ladybug and Chat Noir, Danny is likely in over his head (though that absolutely will not stop him from discovering something much bigger is happening.

[DETAILS PENDING] Parts 2-5: These will focus on the main character introductions, with part five being the final installation- which pans into the second arc.

((Hey guys, just a reminder that I have this rule:

I will not write with characters that do not have an about page, even if they are a canon character that I am familiar with.

Considering Mycroft is a character that is supposed to know things about other characters just by looking at them, I can't write him without information to reference. I also can't suggest plot ideas without knowing anything about a character first. Unless it's a character that I am very familiar with and you can assure me that they're written 100% to source (which, considering headcanons, is very unlikely), this isn't something I compromise on.

(By about page, I don't necessarily mean something as long as my own. I just want to see basic character info, a little backstory, something that gives me an idea of where I might find them, etc.)
