Now Danny loves space. He loves everything about it, to the point his core quite literally is space. And he’s also a baby ghost, even if he could argue he’s not in human form. But see, being baby has an honestly great consequence once it’s noticed- despite the Observants’ best attempts at hiding it, the assholes. 

Of course he would be far more worried- and even a bit pissed- if his caretaker wasn’t who it was. Look, he’d never met Clockwork’s siblings before, but apparently everyone was really against Clockwork himself adopting. 

But Clockwork as his uncle is fine. Besides, his caretaker is Space! Space itself is holding him, cooing gentle words in the sounds of the very cosmos. And they’re huge, like parts of their body going through portals so they can fit outside Long-Now sized big- and apparently Clockwork can get just as big and they can get even bigger- 

Okay, he needs to take a breath- even if he doesn’t need to breathe- to stop his squealing because holy Realms this is so cool. 

Space is awesome! And he’s getting so much more rest than he did in Amity- and even if Space sort of shrugged at the idea of school at first, they did help him set up online schooling. So there’s that, and it’s just the start! 

He gets to learn so much about space and it’s honestly kind of… nice? To be taken care of? And he can do whatever he needs for his Core and Obsession with only a few interruptions to take care of his living needs. Erm, sort of living needs? 

But even that gets turned into a bit of play or even a lesson too! He’s honestly having such a good time right now! He’s learning so much about spaaace! And dimensions! And interdimensional portals and- oops! No one saw that. 

Ahem- But he’s learning so much about space and getting to explore other dimensions with Cosmos! And sure he no longer looks as human as he once did and all that, but he’s seen so many people who also don’t look human that does it really matter? 

Of course it doesn’t, and he matches his sort-of-dad! Even though the streaks of color in their hair are more of a brown-red like they’re literally bleeding out the cosmos around them instead of it fading to void and space like his own. But still! They match and it’s fun! 

And they’re going to go on another trip from the in-between to one of the dimension realities! He’s going to start a game of tag this time he thinks! But no cheating with portals or bending space! Tag! 

Look, the Justice League? Not paid enough for this. In fact, technically not paid at all due to being volunteers (not that it stopped them from finding money in their accounts) but still. 

There is some sort of figure… being… thing… zooming around the asteroid belt, about the size of Earth itself. Let them repeat themselves. A planet-sized creature (are those hands or paws? Tail or simply its body stretching? Hair or the Abyss-) is currently darting around the asteroid belt like a child running through grass. 

That is, without noticing or caring if something bug-sized might be crushed. And they are very much bug sized, as the governments are concerned about. Like really concerned about. Like talking about trying to nuke the entity if it wanders closer sort of concerned. 

Which they are all very concerned and very much like, against. Because it isn’t seeming to notice the asteroids it’s knocking into their area. It’s like… not a space whale or eel or anything like that but also is something like that. 

And they would also maybe like to see if they can attempt to talk it down first maybe and-

oh. 

Oh. 

That creature is the baby. And mama just arrived, stretching across the entire galaxy, from them to Pluto and beyond, like something took the cosmos and shaped it like clay into some sort of form. Like reality itself has wandered into their galaxy with what they are suddenly realizing must be a very young child. 

Shit, they really have to make sure no one tries to piss either of these things off-

How did Elesa get a Blitzle as a starter if she's from Sinnoh? (hang on this is ironic she could've learned about warden ingo in school back there)

Blitzle Elesa backstory under cut!

Blitzle was gifted to Elesa so she has an “easier time” integrating into Nimbasa by her well meaning dad. This is not the greatest move, since the two feel they are more obligated to stick together then, you know, actually choose each other. Blitzle’s meant to be a utility mon— he helps charge elesa’s hearing aid batteries and basically serves as an emotional support when things get rough. He’s… not the biggest fan. (I like to imagine Blitzle was originally part of a battle track, but his IVs aren’t the greatest so they shuffled him out. He’s a bit bitter about that.)

Inciting incident where they actually start taking the proper steps to becoming partners is when Elesa takes a tumble down a hill and Blitzle twists his foreleg going after her. (Local child eats shit! More at 11.)

They’re just kids, and they’re still learning.

(When Elesa decides to challenge the gyms, Blitzle’s so excited he accidentally trips their house’s circuits.)

I don’t know if you guys like angst, but today’s chapter of Children of Space and Time was a fucking doozy

We started in Sonic’s PoV, which was bad enough, but then we get into Amy’s PoV for her conversation with Sonic. We can clearly see that no one is doing that well

Sonic, obviously, isn’t. His son was kidnapped by supernatural stones mere seconds after he was born. He’s been searching for that son for months without much rest, completely isolating himself from everyone in the process

But Amy isn’t, either, because she’s noticing that while she and everyone else have accepted the possibility that Sonic’s kid may be dead, he sure as hell refuses to accept that. I mean, technically, he’s right, but none of them know that

Yeah, it was rough to write. I don’t know why I decided this was the route to go with why Sonadow doesn’t know Silver is their son

Doctor Who - The Timeless Children

You guys should have known I couldn’t leave well enough alone, so here’s some stuff about the Children of Space and Time series (or the idea about Silver being Sonadow’s kid but the Time Stones yoinked him)

The Scions of Chaos is a religious group. They primarily worship the primordial will of chaos (as in the energy). According to them, it was split into Gaia, the will of the earth (as in nature), and Sky, the will of the cosmos. They want Gaia and Sky to merge once more.

Their doctrines heavily focus on the natural world and celestial bodies, especially stars. As such, the scions will forsake their former names and take on the name of constellations/stars.

They are a mixture of humans and Mobians. They believe humans are of Sky and Mobians are of Gaia. They call humans “Son/Daughter/Child of Sky” and Mobians “Son/Daughter/Child of Gaia.”

In recent years, the Scions of Chaos have determined that Sonic and Shadow are particularly important. They have traced their powers and histories until a conclusion was reached. They are not merely the Sons of Gaia/Sky (they consider Shadow to be a Son of Sky despite being Mobian because of his Black Arms genetics, his time on the ARK, and his connection with humanity). Sonic and Shadow are the incarnations of Gaia and Sky.

From here, the Scions of Chaos knew what they must do. To reform Chaos, they must combine Gaia and Sky. Sonic and Shadow’s child, therefore, would be an incarnation of Chaos, like they are.

(It should be noted that Sonic and Shadow are not Gaia and Sky. Gaia exists, but that’s Dark/Light Gaia. Sky and Chaos—as the scions know it—does not exist)

Their pursuit was known as Project Aether. They tried creating several test tube offspring. Only one survived. When this child (who is about the age of the current sidekicks—Tails, Cream, Marine, etc.— but this is a timeskip so she’s younger than them now) passed all necessary tests, she was named Astra (star) and given the title of Daughter of Chaos.

Astra was with the Scions of Chaos for a while. Her experiences weren’t pleasant. Some revered her as a divine being, a primordial will in her own right. Others thought she was a stepping stone to finally awakening Chaos. Neither side treated her as an individual, even going so far as to suppress her personality (it would ‘taint’ the process).

There were also conflicts about inhibitor rings. Some thought they were necessary since Astra had a lot of power she couldn’t yet control. Others thought it was sacrilegious and an affront to Chaos. The rings were made, but they weren’t used to pacify both sides.

Her powers obviously included super speed, but she could also manipulate wind.

When Astra was given a chaos emerald, it was found that she couldn’t freeze time or teleport. Instead, Astra unleashed a gigantic storm made of chaos energy. She remained safe in the eye, but the Nebula (the institution she was made at) along with all the scions in it were killed or maimed.

Sonic was on a mission to find the chaos emeralds, so he noticed the storm. He made his way through to find Astra. He helped her stop the storm and took the chaos emerald from her. Sonic wasn’t quite sure what to do with her until a long look made him realize how similar she looked to him and Shadow. Just to confirm things, Sonic took Astra to Tails to check her blood.

Astra, who has never been given choices before, just went with him. She also recognized him, however, as one of the scions’ ‘gods.’ Astra worshipped them as the scions did, so she wouldn’t have been able to refuse Sonic, anyway.

Tails confirms that Astra is, indeed, Sonic and Shadow’s kid. This puts Sonic in a rough spot. He was looking for the chaos emeralds because his and Shadow’s firstborn (I’ll explain this in a minute) went missing. Sonic and Shadow haven’t spoken since this disappearance, so it’s a bit awkward when Sonic goes to leave Astra with Shadow. He’s forced to stay, however, when Astra refuses to leave him. Sonic only stays until she becomes more comfortable with Shadow. This will result in them reconciling and whatnot.

Now, the other child. Who could that be? Why, it’s none other than Silver!

So, Shadow, as a Black Doom’s greatest weapon, has many similar abilities to him, including genetic manipulation. When they were ready, Shadow combined his and Sonic’s DNA. The child was in a pod (like the ones from Shadow the Hedgehog 05). When they hatched, Sonic and Shadow were there. They were going to name their child after the birth because a) they didn’t know the gender and b) their names came from characteristics about them so they thought the same should apply to their kid.

Unfortunately, they only got maybe a minute with their kid before the Time Stones stole the hoglet away. This child was destined to be their guardian, after all, so they brought the child to the future to start guarding them. This event also bleached the child’s fur silver/white.

Sonic and Shadow went about saving their kid in two different ways, causing them to temporarily separate until Astra forced them back together.

Silver is in their lives, entirely unaware of being their kid (and they’re unaware, too). Silver and Astra team-up to take down the rest of the Scions of Chaos who will prove to be a threat in the future. As they investigate, they discover the truth bit by bit.

They learn of Silver’s parentage first. Silver is angry and sad. Astra believes in Shadow and Sonic, though, so she convinces Silver to help look for the reason they ‘abandoned’ Silver. This is when they learn about the Time Stones.

Although this puts the family back together, they still have to work out some things. It isn’t smooth sailing, but they’re trying their best

"Max can you get Nova while I get Pollix? It's going to get messy!" the human yelled running across the youngling centre.

"Sure thing Kim!" The human male dropped the markers and papers in his hands and sprinted across the youngling centre, opposite direction of his partner, towards the one of the tighalaxes. Dropping into a crouch he scooped the feline humanoid into his arms and football carried them towards the 'time out corner'.

Said time out corner was designed to withstand tantrums and violent outbursts from younglings of all species. Scorch marks, acid burns, claw marks, and dents from bites and hits showed it was well used. That was where the tighalax in Max's arms was going.

The 90 pound youngling thrashed and wiggled in the human's arms. Whining and growling. Large paws batted at the human's face. Still the human persisted.

"Come on Pollix! You're old enough to know better! You need help with someone you call a teacher, not fight them."

"Teacher I know-!"

"Then why am I carrying you to the time out corner?" Max huffed throwing the youngling over his shoulder. "We all have bad days but that's no excuse for-"

"MAX! What are you doing?? I said get Nova!" Kim raced past her coworker, carrying a much smaller tighalax hissing and scratching her teacher. "OW! Dammit Nova-she's the one in trouble!" the human yelped as a tiny claw scratches her wrist.

"...Oh. Sorry Pollix. I was wrong. What do you need help with?"

"I really need to poop. But I can't move or it'll go."

"...I am so sorry buddy!"

"Ball carry me! I need to go more in this carry!"

"Right! Sorry!" the human resumes carrying Pollix like a football, leaping and bounding towards the bathroom. "And sorry Kim! I'll bring the band aids when done!!"

"So you thought I meant Pollix?"

"Yep. I know no kid is perfect but Nova never gets mad so I just assumed...sorry." he applies another neon band aid to his friend.

"But I said it's going to get messy...like it's going to get messy if he doesn't get to the bathroom in time."

"I thought you were referring to the time when he coughed up a hairball after angry crying too hard...or that male tighalaxes have venomous spit and well spit when mad."

"...okay I guess that's fair. Your buying lunch for me tomorrow though."

"Also fair...you look like a neon rainbow. Maybe next time we should buy Paw Patrol band aids."
