yk I was wondering why Pharma's Autobot insignia is grey. it expecially picked my attention since grey insignia means mourning as we know from Lost Light comics. So I searched for flashbacks with Pharma to check if it was always grey and LOOK

here, in the retrospection (issue #40) his insignia is red. So I started thinking hm. maybe it's bc of Delphi. not bc of the plague he started (as his insignia is grey in First Aid story before the plague too) but bc of the patients he killed for the T-cogs. that would be a suspicious thing to do probably for him but also explainable, he was an ambicious and talented doctor who was losing way more patients than before, others could understand it like that, while for him it was a way to channel his guilt. BUT. then i checked Chromedome flashbacks in issue #17 and...

yup. chronogically this flashback must be from earlier than the retrospection from issue #40. so it kinda ruined my theory. now I just think it's a part of the design, ment probably to forshadow his, em... dubious morality (expecially if we treat autobot insignia as symbol of morality. symbol of morality greying is... well, pretty easy to read), has nothing to do with mourning and in issue #40 somebody just maybe made a mistake with coloring, bc person responsible for colors changed. but its a fun thing to make headcanons about. if someone had a theory/headcanon or actually know what is that grey insignia about i'd be glad to know!

im kind of late to this since im busy with college whoops but i'll do my best to make a hopefully chronogical log of the things that changed since it updated a lot on some of the same paged

and now the largest part of this update:

/missing updated to showcase a new video. It's still up, for now, but Brightoncast has also uploaded the video in its entirety on youtube, which i will link here for easy viewing.

It intially showcases a cartoon lamb with a censor bar over part of it's body, playing Paula Clarke's 'Downtown' in it's entirety (thanks to @butchsophiewalten for finding it) even as the audio begins to distort and elongate- the image of the lamb becoming a gorey snap of a scene (i'm entirely unable to tell what's happening, really, it's very unclear other than blood and a few colours). eventually garbled speech and noise begins to play. The speech seems as though it's coming through a phone reciever, but this could be a quirk of the directing choice.

It's frantic, almost illegible through the peaking microphone and sing-songey manner in which some of it is delivered. at 2:27 i can clearly make out the person singing the nursery rhyme 'it's raining it's pouring'. they seem to continue it for a few lines even with the abrupt halt in the audio. after that, at 2:49, a sentance which is mostly garbled seems to pause and then call out a name. maybe it sounds like '...rosie?' or '...sophie?'. the general theme of this update surrounds Rosemary so im more willing to say it sounds like 'Rosie'.

after some more audio, the screen shifts into a distorted image of Rosemary's face.

the final update that happened was the main page changing again, to a different white image this time.

Hi coming back here again but this time to yap because what do you mean…. Time is not linear. Time is a circle. Time is not chronogical. Time is a SPIRAL (not a quote, just some shit Imade up because this whole series came full circle)

Okay. So this whole time, we are led to believe that it was Glendower (or the Ley Lines or… I can’t recall who we thought it was) that spoke to baby Gansey and said that he has to live because someone who wasn’t supposed to die died on the ley lines blah blah blah…. Noah was the one who did that? I feel so dumb because I am normally pretty great at figuring that kind of plot points out before the reveal, but it never EVER occurred to me that Noah was the one who essentially resurrected Gansey.

And you are telling me that Adam went into his parent’s home and tried to talk with them just them to not exceed expectations. Actually, I want to talk about this, and I think this is the reason why I can’t wait to see more of Adam in TDT. Adam needed to confront his parents the way he did in order for him to move on from Henrietta. Without doing so, he’d probably be stuck somehow. His parents haunted him the entirety of the series. Not Noah. Not Cabeswater. His parents. Every aspiration he had, every reasoning he had, every action he did was. Because. Of. Them. His ending (for this series) needed to involve them. That’s how his arc comes full circle (again, for this series). However, he has potential to grow from this point which is why I am so interested to see him in TDT.

Also I have read Opal, that made me sad. Incredibly sad, but now I know more about Ronan and more about how being a Dreamer works. So I am excited to see more of that.

Anyway, I do have issues with this book, and I will admit it’s my least favorite book. Personally, too much was going on, new things happened but it wasn’t fully fleshed out. I really think we needed a book before this one to fully bring the story together (*cough COUGH* Henry CHENG). I mentioned it at some point that the book felt like it was in two acts. The end, while made me tweak, did feel rushed imo. So far, most to least favorite in this series (and I fear its controversial because I’ve seen more people put a particular one in first that I do not have in first).

But I loved this series whole heartedly and can’t WAIT for TDT. Starting it… soon.

ALRIGHT! So, when I say that the Glendower switch up really blew my mind the first time oooooooo boy. Not as bad as the "Ronan dreamt Cabeswater" reveal like that one blew my fucking mind. I adore the connection between Gansey and Noah (I literally have plants named after them this dynamic is so insanely underrated to me), and the nature of time?? Always in a circle? Always moving? Depending on where you begin this story, it could be about anyone, and it could end in any way. There's something to be said for each character having a predetermined idea of how the story should end but they ultimately make the decision on how it does.

(I urge you to check out this post about Henry's role in the end of the book, because it really restructured how I thought of Henry in the novel. Don't get me wrong, I was onboard the Henry train the second that kid popped up. I've been fiending for a Henry story for years now. But this really solidified that he's more relevant, more connected than we maybe gave credit for. I also think the sarchengsey road trip would have granted more character growth and placed Henry in a similar vein to Ronan. Meaning TRC is more of a backstory than the focus of their narrative.)

(Also this post about the parallels between Declan/Henry/Adam because I adore these characters and these are dynamics I'm fiending to explore more.)

Sorry, on my Henry Cheng bullshit. I adore him, if you can't tell, and I'm so tired of pretending I don't. I've never pretended. People just ignore this part of me. It's fine.

Adam. Motherfucking. Parrish. Everything about him means the world to me. Adam has an image he must mold himself to adhere to and he will do whatever it takes, shed whatever blood, sweat and tears (omg bts reference) it takes to get there. At its core, Adam is a character study in self control and ambition. He's still focused solely on how other people view him, and I think that recentering of his priority and his extrinsic/intrinsic motivation through his acclimation with Cabeswater is incredible. He's still struggling (and continues to in The Dreamer Trilogy), but that scene with his parents gets me every time. Acknowledging the abuse, entering as an adult in power, in control of himself and the situation, not running away when he leaves but walking out, having grown into himself. Adam's arc is incredibly powerful, and holds a dear, dear place in my heart. Expecting nothing, knowing precisely how that would have gone, but he did that for him not for purpose of reconciliation. My favourite, favourite, dynamic in the series is the one between Persephone and Adam, to be honest.

I adore The Raven King. I don't know if I can rank the books, really, because they each present such a unique quality and charm. I stand the Blue Lily, Lily Blue is my favourite. I ADORE the Opal short story because Opal's voice is so delightful, and it dabbles in the mystery element of the series I find so enchanting. I'd take ten more books about Opal, please. The Raven Boys has such a special charm to me, a nostalgia and despair. The Dream Thieves is objectively the best written, the most meticulously woven. It's also the book I have the hardest time rereading (for personal reasons) but when I say that book fucking bangs? And The Raven King, for all its flaws, is so precious to me. I finished that book under the cover of night, catching words in the moonlight, tearing through every inch in a frenzy I haven't felt reading since.

I'm excited for you to keep up with The Dreamer Trilogy. I think it's criminally underrated (though deeply, deeply flawed), and Hennessy is the most character of all time. (The thing with Hennessy is she's Ronan, but a queer black woman and as such people like to find excuses to hate on her for the exact same thing they uphold Ronan for oops who said that) But yes, and the baby girlification of Declan Lynch. MATTHEW MY BELOVED. AND CARMENNNNNNN. I'm very excited to hear your thoughts <3

First of all, I'd like to thank you for your analysis and recaps on Lawbin interactions and similarities.

I enjoyed them so much. I SHIP THEM HARD.

I started reading One Piece because of Ms All Sunday at the time. You know she looked so badass with the outfit, stoic/stern luck, and her DF abilities. I was Luffy and his nakama's age at the time and when she joined I was like: "Wow, Robin's so much older and mature, a woman in her late 20s. How does it feel to be that mature?"

Now, I am even older than her :))). (I'm old, I know)

I'll try organizing my thoughts chronogically. This might be long as NR and One Piece and I go way back to my adolescent years.

- So yeah, I have been a Robin fan since way back. One Piece wasn't as popular and access to manga was not easy. I saved One Piece chapters on floppy diskettes of 1.44 MB capacity (those were the dark ages). I had nobody around me to talk about One Piece and Nico Robin even searched for a mailing list and sent a cold email to a stranger just to search for someone to talk about Nico Robin/Miss All sunday lol.

- I was much younger so what I cared about mostly was just badassery and her being cool and strong. I got really worried and sad when Robin was frozen by Aokiji and she was a "burden" to her nakama. But then came Water 7 and Enies Lobby arc which were Robin's arc and full of Robin which made me really happy. Robin's outfit from back then is still the best Robin outfit for me.

- I was not very much and is still not into character ships. I've seen some Zoro x Robin and Franky x Robin ships since back then. I read the reason why people match them but I wasn't convinced. I just didn't see it. (We'll get to Law and Law x Robin later)

- When the supernovas were introduced in Sabaody archipelago pre-time skip, Law stood out for me immediately upon his introduction. Most probably cause he was the only one that was directly mentioned by Robin to Luffy :)) Oh, and cause he had a unique name that made me curious.

- And then came the time skip. I was kind of "disappointed" when Robin was sent to Tequila wolf. You see all the straw hats went to unique islands and we knew what they were doing there (e.g. Luffy with the amazon lilies, nami studying weather) while Robin went to I am sorry be a slave at a random bridge??? And what the hell was she doing with the Revolutionaries? We know what the other Strawhats were doing during the timeskip but what she did during the timeskip was always vague.

- I was also rather disappointed with her design post timeskip in Sabaody archipelago :/ Where was the cowboy hat? Why the much "softer" clothes? Where was the full body leather dress as in Enies lobby?

- The last time I followed the chapters real time was at the beginning of Punk Hazard, Law hasn't even reappeared at that time. And then life happened: uni and work and life in general. I had other hobbies and interests too, I had minimal time to follow chapters per week with less motivation fueled by my "disappointment" about post timeskip Robin .

- So, I had around 10-12 years of One Piece hiatus. Now OP is VERY mainstream and accessible, so different compared to when I first read them 20 years ago. I decided to pick up where I left: beginning of Punk Hazard.

- Now that I am much older and mature with more of the story revealed, everything about Robin's character development makes sense to me:

How she's much more relaxed, and how it felt to not want to be a burden for others, how it's okay to ask for help (and that it's a very courageous thing to ask for help), and how she felt so happy Sanji asked her for help :')

- My disappointment about how she was sent to Tequila Wolf (and The Revolutionaries) has evaporated: Oda has tied her even further to the One Piece lore after all

- I mentioned that I've seen Frobin and Zorobin since way back then. Now I have a perspective of both a teenager me and much older me reading Nico Robin interact with other characters. I still do not see the appeal to those pairings. But when I read her interactions with Law, I immediately got: AHA!!! WHAT'S THIS?

- Now that I've caught up to all chapters (up to 1133 as of now). I SHIP THEM HARD. I'm squeezing years worth of Law x Robin obsession/admiration/hope in these recent weeks LOL. So glad that I found your blog so that I know I am not crazy and not alone in seeing the appeal of Law and Robin. Damn shipping in the fandom is so toxic these days.

- I agree with your writing about why you ship Law x Robin. Back in my younger days, the idea of opposite attracts appealed to me. But now that I'm much older and much overwhelmed with life, the meshing of personalities such as Law and Robin's what appeals and what makes sense to me. Both are introverts with quirks (both are nerds in their own field) and both can engage in intelligent and analytical discussions.

Ah well I blab a lot. Sorry for the long post. I hope we can see Law (and Robin) interaction again soon. I might write to you again next time. Hope you're not bored. :)))

I’m glad you enjoyed the analysis, even though I wrote most of it late at night when I was supposed to be sleeping, so my writing was probably a mess. And OMG I’m a baby one piece fan—I only got into it last year. It’s so nice to know someone has been in the fandom for so long! I’m happy that one piece has grown so much that it’s now easier to find people to share your one piece thoughts with!

I also really wish we could learn more about what happened to Robin during the time skip. I think one piece has grown with its audience, when you read it at different stages of your life, your interpretation changes. I’d say I’m lucky because I got into it pretty late, so a lot of things have already been revealed, and I didn’t have to wait for them haha I’m also super happy that you’re back and shipping lawbin too. The more lawbin fans, the merrier!

I do also ship them so hard, and I’m thrilled to have met so many lawbin shippers who share my obsession. The shipping fandom can get pretty toxic nowadays, but as long as we focus on our ship and find happiness in it, I think we can ignore all the hate :)

I know a lot of people believe that opposites attract, but my personal experience tells me otherwise, and that’s one of the reasons I ship them. I’m so happy my blog has reached you, and I want you to know you’re definitely not alone!!

TOP 10 favourite AA fanfics?

Hi !! Thank you for the ask ! Sorry it took me some time.

While i love the concept of asking the fandom questions, I'm really the wrong person to be asked about fanfics right now hfhdhdhs-

I'm new... Very very new to fanfic reading. Oh dear... i'm not even sure i've read 10 of them... Do i even have 5 ?? Oh no... oh boi, i'm a fraud..

So... Okay, my top ten will be the list of what i've read so far instead. (and chronogically)

► Black Water by @distortedclouds is the very first AA fanfic I've read ! It is a deep dive into Annie's relationship with her father (amongst other things). And boi i BINGED ... It depicts abusive relationships and its side effects very accurately. And i think Distordedclouds's interpretation of Annie and her trauma is very much on point ! It sparkled my curiosity into reading more fics for sure.

► Aruani in fort Salta series and Village by the end of the world by @moonspirit. Is a serie of events following the rumbling and its resulting responsibilities for the Alliance, more especially Armin. Stories about love, grief, self hate, insecurities and work/life balance. I cried for the first time reading fiction with this... And i relate to Armin very much... Y-Y It definitely confirmed that there is a lot of talented writers out there i needed to check out !

► Neverland of (our) desires by @annawayne. Is a one shot about the canon events succeeding the boat scene. If i had a word to describe Anna 's writing, as a noobie reader and non-writer, i think it would be a caress on the cheek. So even if there was angst and heart string pulled, i felt at peace.... And it has pretty pictures so i'm sold- I also started My yellow light in your soft whispers recently but i'm still at the very begining !

► Tangerine Skies and Muffled Cries by @midnightraine131 is a one shot about cadets Armin and Annie sneaking out from duty on a very special evening. It's very sweet and fluffy ! The idea of them sneaking out together makes me all giggly, and i had my share of "aww" moments~

► All the things that could have been by @mimiwrites2000 explores the thougths of a tipsy Armin during his party time with the scouts back in Marley. I really felt his angst and languish and it hurt me in a very good way ;v; ♥

► By each crimes and kindness (i'm bound to you) by @aruanimess tells the story of cadets Armin and Annie slowly falling for each other and the internal turmoil it might bring. The teen angst is really present and, ooooh i'm sooo here for it !! I was on the edge of my seat everytime they met !

► On the path that led me to you by @the-last-thread-of-my-sanity is also a story taking place during cadet training where Armin and Annie explore their blooming feelings for each other. It has a lot of very sweet moments in a very clumsy-teenagey way and i love it !

Oh hey look, i have more than 5- I have a soft spot for canon compliant/post canon stories, so that's what i tend to read first i suppose. But there's a lot more i have yet to discover. I haven't even started AUs yet... but i will at some point! bear with me, i read slowly ): Anyways, here you go ! i tried to keep it relatively short sorry fhdhs ;;
