Movie night with the Mystics is a guaranteed grade-A Thing™ every time

Nick isn't picky. He used to side with Maddie's choices on principle, when they needed a majority, but after Ebola Syndrome, even he has to think twice.

Madison, accordingly, is almost universally banned from making unvetted choices. They fought zombies and vampires and all sorts of nasty Morlocks, but her movie tastes still turn the stomach.

Nick and Vida can usually agree on something with good action. Xander and Chip always team up when it's a good goofy flick. Nick and Xander are the secret romcom squad, but they can usually coax at least one more person onto their side.

Madison strongarms everyone into Oscar selections parties every year. Some parts go over better than others, but there's almost always some crying.

Making a choice in less than 30 minutes, without any spilled popcorn, is usually considered an easy night.

Chip ends up being the secret magic bullet: he's pretty easy to sway with promises of good humor, a weird plot, and/or fun sfx. Not to mention, his own picks - lots of 80s and 90s sci-fi and fantasy - are usually hits. They can argue for hours over picks, until Chip puts in Legend and everyone quiets down real quick.

Rewatching Solaricks post-credit scene, it just hit me that Rick Prime didn’t know why he was back in his original universe. He says it to Jerry, “I’ve been asking myself the same question.” This is the first time we see C-137 have a true advantage over Prime and he didn’t even know it

i'm really envious of ppl who pick up a new hobby and actually stick w it/get really good at it

i have a strong tendency to suddenly lose interest and/or latch onto another hobby and kind of abandon the first one so i never really get particularly good at anything just mediocre at a variety of things

which i guess isn't necessarily a bad thing but i wish i had the drive to stick with a hobby long enough to actually get good at it

Gabe, Sisyphus, petnames

Context: Minos loves them both but they don't fucking get along

Sisyphus was more cordial than he expected. Gabriel still can't look him in the eyes, though, and it's not because of the bright aura of his head. No, it's the casual endearments he keeps throwing at him.

Good boy is... fine. Pigeon just makes him scoff. The one time Sisyphus called out for Minos with dearest and he responded was mortifying, and Sisyphus has kept to the same kind of petnames since, albeit with saccharine mockery that fails to curb its effect on Gabriel. Some days it seems Sisyphus goes out of his way to not call him by his name.

He knows the old king is annoying him out of distrust. As if he hasn't flat out told him exactly where his loyalty lies.

It would be great if it actually piss him off rather than turn him on.

My time-wasting daydream has switched from imagining Adrian added to Victor's story to the other way around: Victor getting dropped on Adrian's doorstep in (ambiguous current year)

Adrian is uhh a bit too used to living alone and has to scramble to hide stuff he doesn't want Victor seeing (the toy collection, etc.) and he lives on eggshells for a few days until Victor gets tired of Adrian acting like a startled deer in his own house and forces him to have a conversation. Slowly realizing they have a lot in common, actually. Especially... certain things 👀 that they both like perhaps.

in Leverage, in the background of some scenes you can see ads for or clips of another Dean Devlin production, The Librarian movie series. seems like The Librarian movies exist in the Leverage universe. BUT! at the end of the first david job, sophie’s storage unit contains the Judas Chalice, which is the titular arrifact in "The Librarian: Curse of the Judas Chalice". it’s not an actual artifact irl. so there’s kinda 2 possibilities in my head at the moment:

sophie stole the prop, and considers it so precious that it’s stored amongst her stash of very real, very old artifacts. she’s like the worlds biggest Librarian fan.

the plot of The Librarian movies & tv show are real in the Leverage universe, and the movies are dramatic retellings of real events. sophie owns stolen cursed artifacts because of course she does.

(notably, sophie is seen holding & blowing into the judas chalice right after admitting that she has the real second david… you know, her big betrayal? the reveal of her judas kiss? etc etc)
