I'm gonna blow your guys' minds a bit.

So I've asked if folks knew Denal, and turns out, a lot people did remember Denal, the early TCWs sergeant under Captain Rex.

This is CT-1707 "Able", a comic-verse clone trooper who missed Order 66 entirely, by being stranded on the planetoid "Lubang Minor", for 20 odd years.

Only to be rediscovered by the Rebellion on accident, as Able had mistaken Stormtroopers for clones.

He joined the Rebellion, when Luke Skywalker introduced himself as "Jedi General Skywalker"... yeah, Able was out of it that long; he full on started following Luke.

So if you want ever wanted to speculate on who would've been Luke's Clone Commander / Captain--well, here he is, Able.

( Unfortunately, Able got attacked by rakghouls and became one. He's technically the only other surviving "clone" if we count Kix... but uh, being a perma-werealien probably puts a damper on the reunion).

CT-1707 was under command of Shaak-Ti during the lore Clone Wars...

... But personally, I like to combine him with another clone character...

Meet CT-472 "Able", who was a the battle of Muunilinst (the first campaign of the Clone Wars, but only depicted in 2003 TCWshow).

( The Muunilinst 10 were led by Fordo-77, one of the AlphaGen, and fought alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi)

Because of the similarities in names, I like to combine the two into one full character. THe number discrepency doesn't mean much, because I'm pretty certain that all clone troopers have a much larger number sequence anyway but Identify as the smaller or significant group for ease of identification. ( And Echo has two numbers too )

Meaning he would be Able-472-1707, or maybe Able-1707-472.

If I were to bring Able into the Clone Wars (2007) based on information provided, I'd say that he would've been a 212th Clone Trooper, and one of the few that's been around since the beginning. But he (akin to Gregor) would've been accidentally stranded whilst on-mission under Shaak-Ti.

Damn 212th, stop losing your troopers.

I like to think the clones are absolute dogshit at understanding nat-born's ages. Like, that guy looks so old, he has to be...uh... 30 or something. They get completely baffled when someone mentions their 9 year old daughter and get shown a picture of a young child. They find out someone who looks to be the same age as them is turning something twice their age, which they already knew, but still have this instinctive moment of “you've been alive how long???”

Echo Headcanons Pt. 1

Is such a sucker for any type of praise. Of course, all the clones love to hear they're doing well, but for Echo, it's almost a spiritual experience when his actions are highlighted and he gets the spotlight for a second. Even before Skako Minor, he loved hearing positive feedback from those willing to give it. Meeting Rex was like meeting a hero from a kid's story and hearing him say Echo could hold his own was exhilarating. He also remembers making ARC and all the celebrating he and Fives had done afterward. "I knew we'd do it. Thanks for never giving up on me, Ech." The eye-roll he'd given in response couldn't be helped.

After all the torture and isolation, he's much more reluctant to accept, but he'd be lying if he said it didn't make his heart's pace pick up. To this day, he can't help but turn a bit pink when Rex hits him with a "good job" or a particularly knowing look. It makes him feel so proud when he hears his ori'vod congratulate his skills and strategic thinking.

Craves physical connection very intensely. He sometimes feels the flames of jealousy lick at his mind when he watches CF99 all climb into a dog pile after their heavy picnics on Pabu. Each of them, even Omega, will curl into one another until Echo is left to sit alone and study their peaceful expressions. He fights the urge to stare, but he's all too aware of his metallic arm and legs. He wants to crawl closer to his siblings and let himself melt into their heartbeats and breathing; at one time, vod piles had been such a comforting way for him to decompress. But metal doesn't quite belong with flesh, and he has a hard time breaking through the barrier and letting himself be held. He sits quietly for a long while as if hit with several stun blasts. (Crosshair, ever aware, is the last to succumb to sleep and the first to notice Echo's rigidity. He likes to prove Echo wrong by resting his head on his brother's cybernetic lap; flesh or metal, they still see him as their vod.)

Okay okay... Echo got his name because he'd constantly repeat strategies or rules back to his brothers during their time as cadets. I think this would eventually be replaced with him mother-henning and nagging at every brother he gets slightly attached to. "Eat your carrots, Wrecker, Maker knows your eye could use it." (Wreck acquiesces with a grumble... When Echo turns his back to practically force-feed Crosshair a piece of broccoli - his jaw is locked shut like an activated bear trap - Wrecker slips the carrots to Batcher. Tech says nothing because the vitamins in the vegetable are beneficial for most biological organisms; he finishes his helping as he watches in silence. Hunter and Omega dutifully eat away, seeming to compete in silence as they make eye contact over the table.)

Tells Omega stories about Fives. He honors his brother as much as possible; he thinks Omega would enjoy hearing about some of her other brothers. He also talks about Hevy and the other dominoes quite a bit, but none as much as Fives... He knows Fives and Omega would have gotten along well and can imagine the passed-on Clone braiding her hair as it grows over the years.

Is similar to Rex in that he wishes to save as many brothers as possible from the clutches of the Empire. He imagines them all slowly trickling onto Pabu and finding lives there. He sometimes gets caught up in this daydream and is only brought back to reality by a cool teardrop slipping down the ridge of his nose.

One of the funniest headcanons I include in my upcoming Coruscant Guard-centric Clone Wars fic is that while the clones will not crack under torture, when it comes to drama and whatnot, they will gossip with each other like crazy.

The CGs hear most everything happen in the Senate (partially because they were trained to be hypervigilant and aware of threats, partially because senators do not think they have free will and will therefore do the crazy shit in front of them) and they will spread that shit to other clones immediately. Eventually it will get to other units, and after perhaps a month or so, every clone in the GAR knows about so-and-so's absolutely wild sex life. They live for the gossip.

I'm instinctively a little wary of anyone who's a little too insistent that the artificial aging is 100% above board and basically the same as aliens with different life cycles. I get that the clone wars did not explore the effect growing up at twice the normal rate might have on a human being, so following that canon is fine, but that doesn't change the fact that the clones are humans, not aliens with a naturally shorter lifespan. The accelerated aging was unequivocally a violence done to them. At best it just means they missed out on having a child hood. At best. If anyone wants to explore other effects it could have had, or play with the fucked up worldbuilding that is right there, good for them.

So, according to the background lore, while growing up on Kamino, if the clones had any bouts of anger or frustration, they were put into the "retraining tank" which was essentially isolation. And at some point, this just kinda manifests in the clones in not being able to express their negative feelings properly, and either pushing them down or dealing with them by isolating themselves, because those two things are the only things they know how to do that somewhat work.

The Jedi help with this, of course. They teach their men how to meditate, how to express themselves, how to deal with their negative feelings and also let them go and not let them fester, and how the clones adopt this part of their conduct as well. Meditation becomes almost mandatory. It's not strictly enforced by the Jedi, but it is enforced by the Commanders and the rest of the men, especially when Shinies come from Kamino.

(Bail and Breha have such a good and healthy way of communicating with each other that by now, when they have disagreements, they are able to work through them by talking about it and expressing their feelings to each other.

And then they have a first bigger disagreement with Fox, and Fox just. Up and leaves. And he goes to sit somewhere by himself and then comes back like it's fine let's carry on whatever else we were doing before this. And he just does this. Every time he is angry or frustrated or otherwise upset he just gets up and leaves because he doesn't know what else to do. He doesn't know what to say. He has to leave because otherwise he doesn't know what he is going to do and that scares him)

Heading into 2025, I want to participate in more fandom events/weeks/bingos, I want to draw more Keldabe Kisses (no surprise!) and MAYBE even try some spicy art 👀 🤭😈

I still don't get why people wanna be mad about these two female characters who survived being stabbed by a lightsaber...because somehow it's...unrealistic...or bad writing? (Because no one in real life has ever survived something that should have killed them, I guess.)

Star Wars is basically a space fantasy soap opera. Of course people are going to survive certain death. I'm not sure why this is a surprise to anyone or why it should cause so much anger.

Bored of seeing depictions of Echo with a regular ass robo hand instead of his scomp. Give him retractable rollerblades under his feet instead that he can roll around the battlefield with while shooting droids. The ability to shoot his scomp link like a projectile and reattach it from afar through like magnetism or whatever. Cool af painted metal legs. Those jet things on his ankles that Cad Bane flies with. It's what Fives would have wanted.

okay wait no. small pause on the Kix feels as I think about how Rex is more by the books than Cody (and lightens up at least a bit on that throughout the war) and how he tells the Domino Twins "reminds me of me, actually" in his lil promoting them to ARC speech and just. how much he latched onto Domino in the first place

this man saw Echo and his by the books-ness and Fives encouraging him to lighten up on certain bits of it and went "oh, they're just like me and Cody" and got attached and indeed continued to see the parallels throughout the war
