What Is Coherence Mapping?
A diagnostic model for pattern, perception, and persistence.
Coherence Mapping is a symbolic systems framework developed to measure and restore structural integrity across cognition, language, institutions, and AI. Built on the Coherence Equation:
C = (R × P × S) / E
—it evaluates how Recursion, Pattern, and Signal interact under Entropy to determine the coherence of any system, from thought to infrastructure.
This project is designed for:
Systems thinkers seeking clarity in complexity
AI architects working with symbolic compression and interpretability
Educators and institutional designers navigating cognitive overload and fragmentation
Strategic operators aiming to align structure, meaning, and action
Coherence Mapping is not a metaphor.
It is a recursive toolset for tracking where things fall apart—and how to bring them back into alignment.
Written and maintained by Anthony B. Chapman, this blog explores the recursive foundations and applied systems of Coherence Mapping across symbolic, cognitive, and noospheric domains.

in honor of us not talking about netflix's recent choices I'd love to share my The Old Guard AU again where Nicky is the one in the iron maiden. Lingua Franca - Complete
Nile dreams of a man drowning, over and over and over. And—between every other curveball thrown her way in the last 72 hours—Nile realizes she has to draw the line somewhere between passively accepting it and doing something about it.
Prima Lingua - Complete
It is a long time, 400 years beneath the water.
Nolexi - Incomplete (2/? Chapters)
A man who spent 400 years drowning, a man who spent 350 years at sea, a man who spent 150 years looking for an out, and a woman who wants to live all sit down at a table. And they all think to themselves, well, what happens now? (An afterword, for when you've done the impossible.)

It turns out that I never research because it makes me think the details are the point instead of the story.
The story is the point! It doesn't matter if I don't have an entire world with all its history and cultural and political customs realistically fleshed out! Focus on the story and fill in the details later!

Okay, losing my mind over the Capitano is Mavuika's dad theory, actually, because. Oh my god. Spoilers under the cut.
He's trying to save her, it's the only thing that makes sense to me at this point, he's trying to save her he's trying to save her he's willing to damn all of Natlan to save his baby girl his precious baby girl with not just stars but the whole ass sun in her eyes his precious baby girl who dodged the Hilichurl curse because she was born after it was enacted (which would also give us a plausible explanation for KAEYA HI YES YOU EXIST TOO-) who I'm pretty sure I'm getting the timeline a little messy here but it works it works he wants to stop a second Khanreiah but he wants to stop his daughter from sacrificing herself again even more he joined the Fatui to burn the world that would be so cruel as to give him a second home only to take it again, to take his daughter for their heavenly throne-
I hate Cappuccino if his motive is anything but this. Anything but this, and he's a pretentious asshole who's ignoring the wishes of the people of Natlan because He Knows Better, but this, this, a father willing to damn the world for his child, I would be willing to like-
(also. We've noted the trend of contrasting Archons per region, but... The Harbingers have to. And a 'Father' who cares so much it burns fighting the Archon out of violent desperation to save her children, to a father who forces his heart to be cold, so he can betray his daughter who's plan he knows and which's cost he will not allow her to pay...)
(also, calling it now, Mavuika's gonna survive because Capitano's gonna find a way to replace her as the Cost, and only reveal he's her dad in like, his final breath-)

I had a reply from @xuan-luu132080 asking me to explain why I put certain climates where they were in my map of Monster Hunter, and the explanation would not work if I did not include images.
My primary source for the map of Monster Hunter is the one included in the 2nd Monster Hunter Encyclopedia (shown below)
Tumblr media
Others are more current, but no others are as specific and usable for the purposes of a world map as this one. Going off of this one, considering how the lines of Longitude and Latitude curve, the Equator is centered on the north of the Volcanic Peninsula, just south of Dundorma. What this means is that either Akra is further south than it should be, or the Desert Peninsula is almost arctic.
However there is a way for this to climatologically make sense, even with Akra and Schrade being at Temperate and Tropical latitudes, and it involves Geology.
The item descriptions for (respectively) Firestone and Ice Crystal state that the materials "Combust even at room temperature" and "Will not melt at room temperature" which is an interesting idea, and for our purposes means that they could be generating these conditions (a pathway exists too, what with Ice and Fire being elements that monsters can create)
My theory essentially goes that Akra, Schrade and the Snowy Mountains region all have enormous deposits of Ice Crystal beneath them, accounting for their cold climates despite their latitude. Additional evidence is that the Swamp and Jungle areas from Gen 1 both have underground sections which are cold enough to warrant Hot Drinks.
The inverse is true of the Volcanic Peninsula, since a large deposit of Firestone would melt rock to the point that it becomes lava and rises to the surface.
This map is also funnily enough basically the entire reason behind Fonron being its own location, the New World being in the Northwest and the Stories islands being in the Southwest.
Fonron since the New World conspicuously lacks the tower shown on the Landmass to the east.
Tumblr media
The New World since the Northwest has a Kushala Daora generating a storm, which fits somewhat with the difficulty accessing the New World.
Tumblr media
And the Stories locations since the landmass to the West of the Old World has a coastline which fits suprisingly well with that of the Stories 1 Island's south coast (mostly just the large bay but still).

@eurekq I'm answering in a post on its own cause this got a bit long. First of all, thank you so much! I try to take inspiration from medieval and early modern fashion but in no way am I an expert. That's why I mix in a bunch of fantasy/anachronistic stuff as well. Most of the references I used I found on Pinterest actually, but it took a lot to make the algorithm understand that I was not interested in the "Halloween costume" type‬ of medieval costuming. A good way to deal with that is to search for a specific year for clothing (1450s is always better than late medieval), or even the name of a specific garment worn at the time (houppelande, tabard, hennin...). Wikipedia has some pretty exhaustive explanations of what people used to wear, century by century (example). You can also check out museum collections, some let you browse by era and location (the MET and the Victoria and Albert Museum are two that come to mind rn). Other resources I used for this were: Priorattire's videos on YT (they often show all of the steps to getting dressed, so you can see all the layers) CrowsEyeProductions's Tudor royal household video (same thing, especially centered on royal servants and nobles in early/mid 1500s England) Robinswords's shorts (big fan of the guy, knows a lot about swords, sometimes makes special vids for artists posing with certain weapons.) (For armor I mostly just look for cosplayers/reenactors who seem to know what they're doing, and try to find something that may look like a realistic version of the in-game ones. I'm also really partial to the ones from the Witcher III).
I also think a big thing I do to stay somewhat consistent is to pick an era of fashion for each region of Thedas and stick to it. Ferelden is 1300/1400s Britain and France (ironcally), while the Free Marches are 1500s/early 1600s depending on the city. Kirkwall is also a pretty steampunk place, so if an Amell is wearing accurate Tudor era clothes‬, a pirate or a Crow may lean more towards a bodice-ripping, audience-pleasing tight leather fit.
I think this is all, I wish I had a more exhaustive reference list but it's mostly stuff I absorbed through the years and pure imagination. Hope this was helpful!

so yeah I still feel the same way I felt at the beginning of the ahsoka series
there are things I really REALLY liked about it. but there are also things that I find frustrating and like. not really fleshed out at all?
like.
ezra's whole arc was amazing. his dynamic with sabine? him getting to make a new lightsaber that looks like kanan's? him finally getting to go home and reuniting with hera? i was almost CRYING at that part and I literally screamed when it cut away before we could see them hug. all of it was AMAZING.
but I'm also like. frustrated with the way that they didn't really explain sabine's past? or like, the things that connected her from the end of rebels to now. like I feel like I still don't understand what happened between her and ahsoka before the events of this show. there was that moment where huyang talked about it to ezra a bit but it's like. so quick and just like "oh ahsoka was worried about sabine turning to the dark side" and then it's never mentioned again???? it's just like how baylan mentioned mandalore's destruction in ep4 and how it drove sabine and ahsoka apart as like a throwaway line and then it's never brought up again? i'm??????
but I also really REALLY liked baylan and shin, and the fact that the mortis gods are referenced at the very end of this season INTRIGUES me. i need to know where this is going.
every time hayden showed up in this series he was INCREDIBLE. probably definitely my favorite part of the series. episode 5 is definitely my favorite episode.
but I'm also like. not feeling great about how ahsoka seems to think about the jedi at the time of the clone wars. she says this line about how anakin was the only one to stand by her, even when no one else would, when homeboy literally turned to the dark side and later tried to kill her in rebels? did she forget about that?
did she forget about all the jedi who mentored her during tcw? about plo koon, luminara unduli, tera sinube, aayla secura? about obi-wan? we haven't seen her even mention any other jedi from that time other than anakin (and kanan, in today's episode, but that's literally because of ezra).
i'm just hnggggggggggg so conflicted. the show does some things so WELL and I'm in awe of those things but then it also just. completely misses the point or confuses me or just makes me vaguely upset and it just leaves me in this state of being frustrated
anyways.
overall I did enjoy the show, even if it sounds like I didn't. It's just. I think it would've been better if the ahsoka series and the rebels sequel were two different things, y'know? it would've given more time for both of these storylines to be fleshed out more properly.
but here we are, I'm accepting that this is the show that we got, and I think it was good. I'm intrigued to see what happens next.

Have I shared the long song compilations yet? Did I delete them if I did?
Found some long; cathedral of shadows, law theme, neutral theme, chaos theme, and world map compilations from the megaten games and wasn’t sure if I actually shared them or not.
Don’t wanna spam the same song compilations if I have already. Tried looking through the tags I use to tag YouTube videos and didn’t see them…
My body isn’t letting me sleep aaaaaaa
I need to heal my mp and my demons~~~~
On a totally random note what would the samurai make of the internet? Or the relics used to access it?
Is all of the modern stuff we use relics to them? I gotta play the game and read the stuff so I maybe csn larp as a samurai from The Eastern Kingdom of Mikado online, lol.
Hope I get around to playing someday.

My absolute favorite part of going through texts is when they say "alum is found in a variety of locations in the Mediterranean but Egyptian alum was highly sought after in the ancient world." A thousand questions explode in my mind~ Where! When! How?! Why?! I'm on the second page!! Tell me more!!
"Its value is underscored by the famous historical episode of the thousand talents of alum that were offered by Amasis, together with the rights to twenty alum mines sent by Greeks living in Egypt, in order to restore the temple of Delphi after its destruction in 548 BC (Herodotus 2.180)."
THAT'S SO FUCKING COOL.
"Extraction of alum in Egypt from Kharga went well into the later part of the nineteenth century, after which its mining became less lucrative with the advent of synthetically produced alum." (?!) (is this referring to the aluminum bayer process...?)

It's really interesting and helpful to see these simblr storytelling polls going around at the moment, and actually get a bit of clarity on what people want in a story....but it also makes me low key anxious cuz I feel like i do the exact opposite of what people want to see in a simblr story with Volatile 😅
