Proverbs Daily Reflection – February 16, 2025
When we entrust our work to God, He aligns our plans with His divine purpose. Proverbs 16:3 reminds us that success is not simply about our efforts, but about committing our ways to the Lord. Habakkuk 2:2-3 reinforces this by emphasizing patience—when God gives a vision, it may not happen immediately, but it will come to pass at the appointed time. #josephmekaelpageministries
Proverbs Daily – February 16: Committing Our Works to the Lord Proverbs 16:3 (KJV) “Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Supporting Scripture: Habakkuk 2:2-3 (NIV) “Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it. For the revelation awaits an appointed time; it speaks of the end and will not…

“Life throws things at you that are way beyond your control:
🔄 Other people’s actions

📰 The news, the economy, the world’s chaos...
But God never asked you to carry all of that.
He asks you to **be faithful with what’s yours.**
Your attitude. Your choices. Your words. Your heart. 💡❤️
📖 *“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.”*

🙌 You control how you treat others.
🛐 You choose whether to trust God — even when nothing makes sense.
Let go of what you can’t control.
**Focus on what you can.**

The Ten Commandments
1 And God spake all these words, saying,
2 I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
6 And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
7 Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
12 Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
13 Thou shalt not kill.
14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
15 Thou shalt not steal.
16 Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s.
18 And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
19 And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die.
20 And Moses said unto the people, Fear not: for God is come to prove you, and that his fear may be before your faces, that ye sin not.
21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
Laws About Altars
22 And the Lord said unto Moses, Thus thou shalt say unto the children of Israel, Ye have seen that I have talked with you from heaven.
23 Ye shall not make with me gods of silver, neither shall ye make unto you gods of gold.
24 An altar of earth thou shalt make unto me, and shalt sacrifice thereon thy burnt offerings, and thy peace offerings, thy sheep, and thine oxen: in all places where I record my name I will come unto thee, and I will bless thee.
25 And if thou wilt make me an altar of stone, thou shalt not build it of hewn stone: for if thou lift up thy tool upon it, thou hast polluted it.
26 Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon. — Exodus 20 | King James Version (KJV) The King James Version Bible is in the public domain Cross References: Genesis 2:2; Exodus 6:6; Exodus 10:25; Exodus 14:13; Exodus 15:11; Exodus 19:25; Exodus 23:1; Exodus 28:42-43; Exodus 32:1; Exodus 32:8; Leviticus 19:11-12; Deuteronomy 4:33; Deuteronomy 5:22; Deuteronomy 27:5-6; Joshua 8:31; Ezekiel 43:17; Matthew 5:21; Matthew 5:27-28; Matthew 15:4; Matthew 19:18; Luke 3:14; Luke 13:14; Luke 23:56; John 9:2; Acts 4:24; Galatians 3:19; Hebrews 12:18-19; James 1:12

Did you know? If a pregnant woman is killed, it’s deemed double homicide.
Watch these first: (warning, this post is those with a strong heart).
youtube
youtube
“It’s just a clump of cells!” “It has no life” “I’m just gonna prevent it suffering in the world…” “I’m not ready to be a parent, so im gonna have an abortion.”
“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭5‬:‭20‬
Abortion, first started to kill children with defects. Something which is despicable and revolting. If you don’t believe me, search it up yourself. Specifically, it was used to kill those of African American children, who supposedly wouldn’t make it. Hence the quote of MLK Jr. Roe V. Wade happens and abortion is upgraded into another level. Norma McCorvey, Roe, was manipulated and by her own will brought abortion to what it is today. And yet a side many won’t say, is that in the end she regretted what she had done, becoming one of the loading voices opposed abortion. Before the case, it was wrong. After the case to present day, it’s still wrong.
“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬
“For thou hast possessed my reins: Thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: Marvellous are thy works; And that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, When I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭139‬:‭13‬-‭15‬
“But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭6‬
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: And the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; So are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: They shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭127‬:‭3‬-‭5‬
“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭15‬
Do any one of these verses indicate that the children inside the womb don’t have life? At any given stage? Before the womb, after it? Maybe you want visual proof that conception is the start of life, if so I ask you to watch this:
youtube
Today, most people are selfish. Were we not command to serve? Yet when faced with accountability and responsibility we choose to be selfish and take the lives of innocent beings who can’t even speak for themselves. Little innocent children, who all want to feel love. As stated before, children are a gift of God, not a curse nor a parasite. A gift.
youtube
youtube
I understand, sometimes you may be scared. Maybe a medical reason, or perhaps even incest and rape. Something which is wrong, and the person who did the crime should be punished. However, I ask you this, why do you punish someone for a crime they didn’t commit? Is not a child innocent? “A mother couldn’t bear it!” “Her life is at stake” Really?
“Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.” ‭‭1 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬
youtube
youtube
The act of aborting an innocent child is wrong, no matter the circumstance. In the past people sacrificed their children to their God for a good future. Today, we sacrifice children for ourselves so that we can have a better future. If you’re raped, I’m sorry for the wrong done unto you. If you’re being forced to abort, listen not what the people say, you have my support and that of God’s. Proverbs 3:5-6. You are blessed sisters with the life you carry, don’t destroy what God has deemed a blessing. I see so many men who cry when their significant others go to abortion clinics, something very heartbreaking. And this isn’t only for women, but for men too. Men , some of you force your wives to terminate a child? Why? You terminate your child because a lack of responsibility and accountability? Then you’re a coward. Take responsibility and save the child. Care for your wives and love them, be there for them. For crying out loud they’re giving you the most precious gift. Yet some of you with compassion force or despise the child and wife. You have sinned. And you women who have gone with joy to abort a child, you have sinned.
if you have done any of these things, I have news for you.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.” ‭‭John‬ ‭3‬:‭16‬-‭21‬
preach the truth my brothers and sisters, know what is true.

Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will NOT depart from it
James 5:13-15 Is any among you afflicted? Let him pray. Is any merry? Let him sing psalms.
Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:
And the prayer of FAITH shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he committed sins, they SHALL be forgiven him. Confess your faults one to another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availed much.
Eccl 4:10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to the one who is alone when he falleth; for he hath no one to lift him up. ( we need each other in our battles)
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart; and lean not to thine own understanding. In ALL thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Micah 7: 7-8 Therefore I will look unto the Lord; ; I will WAIT for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.
Rejoice not against me, O mine enem: when I fall, I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.
Hebrew 4:9-12 There remaineth Therefore a REST to the people of God. Fir he that entered into his REST, he has ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us Therefore to enter into that REST, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief. Fir the word of God is quick, powerful and sharper then any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of the soul and spirit, and the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
14 hold fast the profession of your faith
Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall NOT return to me void, but it SHALL ACCOMPLISH that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing wherefore to I sent it. For ye shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands.
I don't know what's going on, not my business. But God does. You have been faithful and He is faithful. The gates of hell cannot prevail. God bless you my friend. I love you. Prayers
I only intended to post 1 scripture but got carried away. Rest in Him Sister. 🖤

1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus,
2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:
11 Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles.
12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.
13 Hold fast the form of sound words, which thou hast heard of me, in faith and love which is in Christ Jesus.
14 That good thing which was committed unto thee keep by the Holy Ghost which dwelleth in us.
15 This thou knowest, that all they which are in Asia be turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.
16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; for he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain:
17 But, when he was in Rome, he sought me out very diligently, and found me.
18 The Lord grant unto him that he may find mercy of the Lord in that day: and in how many things he ministered unto me at Ephesus, thou knowest very well.

hi! I wanna do a prayer request for my classmate who is atheist and has done blasphemy, his soul needs to be save, and his grandpa just died a couple days ago, I wanna pray for his grandfather's soul and that he can find Christ in his pain
Of course! Here is a prayer for the repose of his grandfather's soul:
O God of spirits and of all flesh, Who hast trampled down death and overthrown the Devil, and given life to Thy world, do Thou, the same Lord, give rest to the souls of Thy departed servants in a place of brightness, a place of refreshment, a place of repose, where all sickness, sighing, and sorrow have fled away. Pardon every transgression which they have committed, whether by word or deed or thought. For Thou art a good God and lovest mankind; because there is no man who lives yet does not sin, for Thou only art without sin, Thy righteousness is to all eternity, and Thy word is truth. For Thou are the Resurrection, the Life, and the Repose of Thy servants who have fallen asleep, O Christ our God, and unto Thee we ascribe glory, together with Thy Father, who is from everlasting, and Thine all-holy, good, and life-creating Spirit, now and ever unto ages of ages. Amen.
And here is a prayer for your classmate's conversion:
O blessed apostle, St. Paul, greatest of all converts, who labored unceasingly for the conversion of other souls, inspire me with the ardor of your zeal that I may pray and work for the conversion of my brethren, redeemed in the blood of Christ but not as yet blessed with the full light of his truth. Mindful of the loving concern of the Divine Shepherd for the salvation of the “other sheep that are not of this fold,” I now beg your intercession to obtain the grace of conversion for (name). May God, the Holy Spirit from whom alone this gift can come, hear my humble prayer and thus enable me to share with others the riches of my heritage of faith through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. Amen.
And here is a prayer for them in time of need:
O God, our help in time of need, Who are just and merciful, and Who inclines to the supplications of His people. Look down upon (name) and have mercy on them and deliver them from the trouble that now besets them. Deal with (name) not according to their iniquities, but according to Your manifold mercies, for we are the works of Your hands, and You know our weaknesses. I pray to you to grant (name) Your divine helping grace, and endow them with patience and strength to endure their hardships with complete submission to Your Will. Only You know our misery and sufferings, and to You, our only hope and refuge, we flee for relief and comfort, trusting in Your infinite love and compassion, that in due time, when You know best, You will deliver (name) from this trouble, and turn their distress into comfort. We then shall rejoice in Your mercy, and exalt and praise Your Holy Name, O Father, Son and Holy Spirit, both now and forever and to the ages of ages. Amen.

The Ten Commandments
1 Then Moses called all Israel, and said unto them, Hear, O Israel, the ordinances and the laws which I propose to you this day, that ye may learn them, and take heed to observe them.
2 The Lord our God made a covenant with us in Horeb.
3 The Lord made not this covenant with our fathers only, but with us, even with us all here alive this day.
4 The Lord talked with you face to face in the Mount, out of the midst of the fire.
5 (At that time I stood between the Lord and you, to declare unto you the word of the Lord: for ye were afraid at the sight of the fire, and went not up into the mount) and he said,
6 ¶ I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
7 Thou shalt have none other gods before my face.
8 Thou shalt make thee no graven image or any likeness of that that is in heaven above, or which is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters under the earth.
9 Thou shalt neither bow thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, even unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me:
10 And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
11 Thou shalt not take the Name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his Name in vain.
12 Keep the Sabbath day to sanctify it, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee.
13 Six days thou shalt labor, and shalt do all thy work:
14 But the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God: thou shalt not do any work therein, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, nor thy manservant, nor thy maid, nor thine ox, nor thine ass, neither any of thy cattle, nor the stranger that is within thy gates: that thy manservant and thy maid may rest as well as thou.
15 For, remember that thou wast a servant in the land of Egypt, and that the Lord thy God brought thee out thence by a mighty hand, and a stretched out arm: therefore the Lord thy God commanded thee to observe the Sabbath day.
16 ¶ Honor thy father and thy mother, as the Lord thy God hath commanded thee, that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee upon the land, which the Lord thy God giveth thee.
17 Thou shalt not kill.
18 Neither shalt thou commit adultery.
19 Neither shalt thou steal.
20 Neither shalt thou bear false witness against thy neighbor.
21 Neither shalt thou covet thy neighbor’s wife, neither shalt thou desire thy neighbor’s house, his field, nor his manservant, nor his maid, his ox, nor his ass, nor ought that thy neighbor hath.
22 ¶ These words the Lord spake unto all your multitude in the mount of the midst of the fire, the cloud and the darkness, with a great voice, and added no more thereto: and wrote them upon two tables of stone, and delivered them unto me. — Deuteronomy 5:1-22 | 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV) Geneva Bible, 1599 Edition. LET US BE DRAWN INTO HIS CHAMBERS
"Deep calleth unto deep at the noise of Thy waterspouts: all Thy waves and Thy billows are gone over me." - Psalm 42:7
"Deep calls." Our Lord is a seeking God who desires a satisfaction that can be found only in us – our worship and our times of fellowship with Him. We were created for this purpose, which became marred by our association with the world.
"The Lord is my strength and song, and He is become my salvation: He is my God, and I will prepare Him an habitation; my father's God, and I will exalt Him." - Exodus 15:2
If we will be patient and not become discouraged, we will be immersed in His presence – "all Your waves are gone over me." Now, we walk in the Spirit.. Others will notice the change in us and ask: "Who is this that cometh up from the wilderness, leaning upon her beloved?… " - Song of Solomon 8:5
"Deep calls." -- In order to rightly respond, we must become spiritually hungry.
LET OUR PRAYER BE "DRAW ME"
"Draw me, we will run after Thee: the King hath brought me into His chambers… " - Song of Solomon 1:4
This prayer, "Draw me," relates to our spiritual hunger. It is the most important request that we could ever set before the Lord. If we do not have this spiritual hunger, our interests will settle upon earthly pursuits, and we will seek satisfaction in them alone.
Ministry can feed hunger, but only the Lord can create spiritual hunger. This prayer for us to become spiritually hungry will be effective only after we commit ourselves to rightly respond to the Lord – "We will run after You." The written Word is to become a present reality, and experienced.
Thus, we must determine that we will steadfastly seek a closer relationship to the Lord. When He responds to our prayer and begins to draw us to Himself, all of our other needs will fall into their proper place and order, as we hunger for understanding of His CALLING on our life.
"But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. " - Matthew 6:33 The greatest privilege and blessing that we can have is for the Lord to become active in our spiritual life experience and begin to progressively guide us toward our His purpose for our life so we can bear fruit that remains for His Kingdom.
THE DEEP CRY OF THE LORD
"My Beloved is mine… " - Song of Solomon 2:16
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them." - Ephesians 2:10
Therefore, He begins by revealing to us our present condition and spiritual need to know our calling in Christ. After He has accomplished the needed deliverance and correction within us, we will begin to seek to understand our oneness with Christ (John 17:21).
"Do not look on me, that I am black, that the sun has looked on me. My mother's sons were angry with me; they made me the keeper of the vineyards; but my vineyard I have not kept." - Song of Solomon 1:6
We realize that we have worked very hard "for" the Lord, even in the heat of the day, so that we have become "sun burned." But we have ignored the "deep" cry of the Lord, and have neglected to ask, knock, and seek (Matthew 7:7) until we understand and begin to implement our Christ calling in His kingdom (vineyard).
Therefore, He allows our circumstances to become a problem to us, which will result in "our mother's sons" (those we are close to) becoming angry with us. All of the things that we had depended on have suddenly become an enemy. Now we realize that we must have the Lord Himself, and we cry out for satisfaction.
FEED MY SHEEP
"If you know not, most beautiful among women, go in the footsteps of the flock, and feed your kids beside the shepherds' tents" (Song of Solomon 1:8).
The Lord is telling us that we should feed the sheep he has put in our lives ("feed your kids"). Without the mentorship of someone who has an active, personal relationship with Him, the spiritual path into their Christ identity, understanding of their right standing with God, and walking in the Spirit can be obscure to "baby Christians". The main purpose of discipling them is to equip and send them out so they disciple others so that the Great Commission is moving forward.
"He saith unto him, 'Feed my sheep.' He saith unto him the third time….'Feed my sheep.'" - John 21:16,17
"THERE I WILL GIVE YOU MY LOVES"
Now, there is a complete change in my expression, as passion to advance His Kingdom becomes the goal that I seek. "I am my Beloved's and His desire is toward me." - Song of Solomon 7:10 I have come from a salvation experience in which I had been satisfied to escape from eternal punishment, into a relationship in which my life is sold out to Jesus and His PURPOSE for my life. As I long for His fellowship, He can say to me: "Come, My beloved, let us go out into the field; let us stay in the villages. Let us rise up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flowers, whether the tender grape appears, and the pomegranates bud forth; there I will give you My loves" (Song of Solomon 7:11-12).
We will be sent only after we have first come to Him. Now, as we commune together in the vineyard, we will find all that we have longed for (co-laboring with Him in our CALLING) , as we respond to the "deep" cry of the Lord – "There I will give you My loves," as we work with Him to bear Kingdom fruit that remains. (John 15:16)

Plan For The Future
Planning is good. In fact, we are counseled to plan for the future, but live each day as if it were our last. But in making our plans, we need to recognize that even the best plans are subject to change. We should make out our agendas and set our priorities remembering to surrender all plans to God. Then, with a willing heart, we can take a hold of God's hand and go where He leads. When we belong to Christ, He lives within us and gives us a renewed way of thinking. So we need to remember to allow the Holy Spirit to lead instead of stubbornly storming ahead with our own personal agendas. Proverbs 16:9 says, “The human mind plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps”. Set aside quiet time with God each day, and take time to listen to His voice. Be assured that He will direct our every step when we allow Him to be our travel guide. Text: Proverbs 16:3, Jeremiah 29:11, Psalm 33:11, Proverbs 19:21
