// Final Photography \\
I was able to use a mix of photoshop magic and the mac suite to create the photos for the box. The closest thing I had to the bottles I would have liked is the gordons bottle so I used that as a place holder, however in theory it wouldn't be green.

Hello and welcome to The Dòrok Project! An ongoing worldbuilding and comic project set in a sci-fi fantasy setting, with post apocalypse undertones.
This is a joint project created by concept artist, Tatiana and her dear friend the linguist, Jasper. “Together we seek to produce visually interesting and functional concept art in a unique world setting, with heavy emphasis on speculative biology and worldbuidling coupled with functional fantasy langauges.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are work in progress sketches of the main cast of the comic, starting from left to right with:
Anja (protagonist): Anja is a fiery pilot and engineer, with a sorted pirating past who’s earnestly trying to move past it all and be a better person. Anja left her home country to live in the nation of Dòrok so she could better pursue her dreams of working with advanced technology. She is enamored with all things technology from the pre-extinction world.
Nazusha (Deuteragonist): Nazusha is the current monarch of the nation of Dòrok, he is in his mid to late twenties and is a pragmatist as well as very cunning. Nazusha received the throne at age 14 after the untimely demise of his father, Yarojin, this has left Nazusha with a cynical disposition, lingering bitterness over his stolen childhood and resentment towards the throne.
Kitalupa: Nazusha’s little brother. Where Nazusha is a pragmatist and cunning, Kitalupa is Compassionate, scholarly and a diplomat. Kitalupa has an endless font of empathy, sometimes to a fault. At times Kitalupa can be reckless and emotionally volatile, he possesses potent psychic abilities that can exacerbate that volatility. Nazusha is oftentimes overprotective of him, which has caused Kitalupa to become a touch naive and sheltered.
Jeropoka: A cousin of Yarojin (Nazusha and Kitalupa’s father) Jeropoka is the pope figure of Dòrok, and after Yarojin’s demise, has become a pseudo parent figure to Nazusha and Kitalupa. Like Kitalupa, Jeropoka is also a psychic, he is arguably the most powerful psychic in Dòrok. While Jeropoka is stern and commanding, he does care deeply for Kitalupa and Nazusha, thinking of them as his own sons. Jeropoka shares more rigid beliefs about how Dòrok should be run, though his own goals and motives are usually unclear.

Media callouts for individuals looking to get a vibe check of the project itself:
Tumblr media
Would like to shout out a tertiary inspiration being Monstergarden on YouTube, and Planet Exoton on Instagram, we’ve been big fans of those projects and it helped us find the confidence to make our own.
* While his project is authored by two individuals, we have had a lot of help from volunteers over the development cycle.
* Please reach out of you would like to be a volunteer!
* Fun Fact: This project initially started as a fan project, but spiraled out of control and became its own thing.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's so fucking wild to me that despite the fact that residents of Hell should be from all time periods, almost nothing about their designs, dialogue, beliefs, or appearances reflects that.
I know that when you're a hellspawn or sinner, those traits might not carry over in terms of phenotype. Especially if you're an animal like half the cast or so is. But you can deadass pull from cultural attire and hair styles, language, and demonic spiritual designs known within that culture to show who they were in a past life like these Niffty redesigns do (amazing redesigns btw).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Alastor to Husk, it's apparent Viv has a bad habit of taking characters from her other properties or coming up with concepts and retrofitting new headcanons into those designs without thinking about the implications or changing anything to fit those implications or new canon.
Is Nifty from Japan? Is she Japanese-American? If so, those cultures would be completely different. She would likely speak and carry herself far differently depending on her place of birth and proffession in life therein.
My boyfriend is Vietnamese, and I've talked to several Asian and Japanese friends concerning cultural upbringing. For all of them and as a general rule with any culture, those born in the homeland and those born in America are very different from one another in several resepcts.
With Japanese people, from who I've spoken to, it's different compared to other Asians. Many non-Japanese Asian-Americans I've known seem to have a higher retention of language and culture compared to Japanese-Americans. Some Japanese-Americans told me it was because many of them were put in concentration camps during WW2 and through that processes and in an effort to assimilate and not be seen as a threat, they shed or lost a lot of their Japanese culture. Normally langauge and some cultural practices.
Is Niffty Japanese-American? Was she ever in a concentration camp? Did she force herself to shed her Japanese heritage to survive during a time of war? Did she come after the war? Did she live her entire life in Japan?
I know we can't know every aspect of someone's backstory, but Viv seems to never explore these deeper questions for charcters that I feel would very much benefit from that if she wants to portray them as different races and ethnicities from differnt time periods. No elaboration, play, or subversion of culture norms.
What if Nifty was a subversion of the otetsudaisan where instead of bein a demure and subserviant maid she is dominant and violent? In fact, the purple design of her is accurate to the attire a Japanese house maid would wear.
Tumblr media
Like - Viv makes all this lorem ipsum lore and it's insane how so much of it is... Nothing??? Almost none of it is hinted or depicted in the character designs and how they act???
EXAMPLE - Maybe it's because I'm Christian, but it irritates me how she does surface-level research on abrahamic demonology and beliefs when there's SO MUCH SHIT she could use to make her world INSANELY COMPELLING beyond Hot Topic aesthetics.
People rag on her design aesthetic but that's not even bad persay. It's just mostly... lacking and copy-paste???
There's no point in begging because the show's fucking out - but I'm BEGGING her to actually portray the things she claims these characters have??? AND I LIKE HOT TOPIC SHIT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like - Corpse Bride is nothing but Hot Topic edtwt, but at LEAST the designs of each character TELL A STORY and the dead people ACT LIKE THE TIME PERIOD THEY'RE FROM and THERE'S COHESION AND PURPOSE BEHIND THE DESIGNS ON AN INDIVIDUAL AND WORLD BUILDING LEVEL.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE YOUR WORLD SET IN HELL WITH DIFFERENT RACES AND TIME PERIODS AND BARELY UTILIZE ANY OF ON A VISUAL OR ACTING LEVEL - I'M SCREAMING.

ICONOCLASM
This Generations Obsession with visual communication is Symptom of the evolution of information. Information is condensed and relayed, repeatedly Abstracting into a new iteration . The Algorithm is the Output of the Input that is Emotional Charge. Everything becomes Visual, seen in 2D characters becoming Omnipresent Symbols of Ideas and Identity as they last forever on the Internet. Everything is Characters, be it the Lines of a Script or that of a 2D 'Face'. Eyes are the Visual Organ, Beholding 2D characters without Sentience behind the Eyes. They are personified through Attribution, the Light rays cast against the Retina like a Projector to a Screen. Objective or Subjective? What does the Collective Optic Nerve See?
The natrual result of this is Flat 2D Images which attempt to relay Multi-Dimensional concepts, and the Simplification of langauge alluding to highly contextual and Elborate ideas. Forwarded memes pointing at the Collective unconscious. The nature of communicating has simplified to create an Echochamber fueled by Emotional Charge as Few and vague words are the Best Canvas for Projection. It’s all Shorthand. Hyper-individualism creates Hyper projection, creating Aesthetics and Microaesthetics that condense and Reduce all aspects of Reality into a Flat 2D Image. Charecterisation. Humans become Characters because Characters are the New Human.
No longer does Information require the conscious processing of the beholder, it simply is a Visual Signpost infinently forwarded and infinently dilluted. No longer are murals of Angels or of Christ venerated across Frescoes, they Find themselves subconsciously relayed as diluted Fragments. Even this Visual format (random Capitalisation) and Elaborate wording is a nod to Schizposting meme. Yesterdays Iconclasm is Todays Icon. The Angels of Yesterday Cry.

You’re all so very nice I am so very glad
Tumblr media
Ugly, over designed and unimaginative. Probably a scrapped design for the joker at some point during Batman’s long comic career. Once again Viv fails to tie in her themes of religion and ‘ the circus act’ of the sins. He looks like a Christmas tree, he doesn’t look threatening and the overuse of green is uninspired.
Tumblr media
Overdesigned, colors are too bright and the concept at its core is flawed. Idk what this girl is supposed to be but it is NOT Beelzebub. Please normalize making Beelzebub ugly. Guys they are Lucifer’s right hand man idk why she was turned into a frat girl. Viv give women in your stories use and purpose challenge instead of stripping their identity down to white women. … again no idea for the circus theme.
Tumblr media
Not sexy, deserves the bad quality image above. The outfit is confusing, the visual direction is everywhere and the boots are ugly. His face is too similar to Mammons and he doesn’t really stand out. The shape langauge is all over the place. ZERO cunt was served. If you asked me what his role at the circus motif was I’d say freak show.
Tumblr media
More bad images. How do you over twink the first biblical twink? Dunno, ask viv. Milton and Dante cry over this design. Poets pour their hearts into the mourning of the Morningstar and Vivziepop returns this empathy by giving another generic thin white guy who she gives 19272829 billion excuses to baby. The apple and snake connection are bare bones. The theme of circus is barely noticeable.
Guys is this a safe space to complain about how Vivziepop portrays the physical form of the 7 deadly sins because I have so many thoughts and none of them are positive

I really love how you write Moreau. I was wondering if you had any tips for writing his character?
Aaaaaah thank you so much I really appreciate the wonderful ask!!!!! Oh gosh, I don’t know if Im in any position to be offering my own writing advice to people necessarily, but Ill do my best! Im a little confused as to whether you mean how I write Moreau as a character in general, or just in dialogue, so I guess Ill do a little bit of both.
When it comes to Moreau as a character, he can more or less be broken down into a few key characteristics that make up the bulk, if not all, of his personality, and when I do my writing, I find it really helpful to have these key terms on hand, or at the very least in mind, when im writing characters because its a lot easier for me to describe and manipulate a character and their actions when I have a concrete idea of how they are likely to respond and react to certain things based on their respective personality traits, the key characteristics i mentioned earlier, rather than vague, abstract ideas that give me an end goal but no reliable or consistent way to get there, if that makes sense. For example, we know that Moreau is a very self-loathing and pitiful character, so i make sure to add lots of scenes where Moreau is taking pity on himself and his situation, actively insulting or berating himself whenever he does something wrong too, and even wishing for death at one point, because at his core, and due to mother Miranda’s horrible influence on him, moreau hates himself and believes that he is a worthless monster who deserves to die a slow and horrible death and then rot for eternity in hell, so it would make no sense for him to be a socially strong and confident individual or even particularly chipper, when we’ve been shown countless times that he couldnt be more opposite to that. Now, that being said however, humans are not one dimensional, and although we know that Moreau is capable of being very naive, overly-devoted, self-loathing, and pitiful, that’s not all that there is to him, not even close. If youre leaning into the tragic aspects of Moreau’s character when writing him, then you definitely want to go heavy on the self-hating parts of his personality, but the point of my fic isn’t to lean into the tragic aspects of his character, its to say “I see Capcom implying that Moreau is hideous, disgusting, and undeserving of love or kindness from anyone, and to that I say FUCK OFF, YOU CAN’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!” (Lol). In all seriousness though, If you’re aiming for something a little similar to what Im going for, which is to explore the sides of Salvatore outside of just the self-loathing and pitying, that are still there, deep down, but maybe only come out around certain people, or need a bit more coaxing before resurfacing after being dormant for so long following the cadou mutations, then you’ll want to add key words like “intelligent”, “witty”, or even “crafty” to your bank of key words that make up your overall understanding of Moreau’s character... if that makes sense (i hope it does cuz idk how else to explain this).
In terms of writing Moreau’s dialogue, there’s two ways I could phrase this answer: the simple way and the complicated way. Im gonna try and do the simple way and hope it actually turns out simple enough for people to understand what tf im talking about. Anyways, due to Moreau’s mutations, his brain has been heavily impacted, resulted in a great many mental and physical process having been potentially fucked up in the process, including but not limited to: speech difficulties, memory issues, motor issues, visual impairments, cognitive processing, etc, etc, the list of things that could be wrong with Moreau is literally endless when you know as much about the brain, and more importantly all the ways it can go wrong, as I do (and I don’t even know all of them). But long story short, ive more or less chosen a few of these issues and decided to highlight them, implicitly, when writing him. In terms of his dialogue, Moreau likely suffers from some sort of speech and/or language disorder (the distinction between these two concepts is incredibly important in my field of study and the fact that i will be lumping in them together as one thing for the sake of a simpler explanation pains me and my bachelors degree greatly, but I wont bore you with that drivel today), meaning that his ability to both produce and comprehend language is probably pretty fucked up and you can see that reflected in the way I write how he talks: lots of stuttering - on letters, as well as syllables, words, and even entire phrases in some cases, rephrasing sentences halfway through saying them so that the end result is more clear or accurate, as well as lots and lots and lots and lots of pauses, so many pauses for this man because he’s a bit of a slow talker and he needs a lot of time to compose his thoughts and turn them into concise sentences compared to most people. These are all just my own personal details that I like to add to my writing because my actual field of study is speech, langauge, and hearing sciences, so I know a lot about the brain and how damage to it can impact ur speech, language, and communication, however if you’re not interested in going all out like a crazy person, then my best advice would be to, at the very least, add little touches of stuttering or pausing here and there. Maybe instead of every line of dialogue, you lonely put it every other line, enough that its present and recognizable as moreau talking, but not enough that its “too much”.
Idk if any of this made sense but I did my absolute best to try and answer your question to the best of my ability, even if it turned into more of a lecture and explanation than just a simple list of tips 😅. Hopefully you got something out of this, even if it was just a quick view into the hurricane that is my brain at all hours of the day. Thank you so much for the amazing ask, it was so much fun to answer and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day!!!

Aphantasia, psychology, and descriptions
I have aphantasia, which means I have difficulty visualizing mental imagery. If we say, “think of an apple”, I don’t imagine an image of an apple in my head. It’s more of, I see a faint outline of an apple on a void of nothingness, with floating text “apple” on top of it. (Imagine: fuzzy tv static.)
We have a pre-existing concept, or a prototype, of everything in our minds. When you think of a “chair”, what comes to mind is either the most frequently seen chair in your life (the one in your bedroom) or a chair that doesn’t actually exist in real life and is in fact the average cumulation of every chair you’ve ever seen. When you think of a bird, you think of either the most common species in your neighborhood, or some clipart diagram of a bird that contains many bird features. Yes, when I picture a bird, I think of the word “bird” in big bold letters. Around that word are smaller words that say “wings” and “feathers” and such.
Whenever I read, I don’t visualize descriptions of people or things. I just add words to it, if it makes sense. If the text says the bird is red, I put the word red next to the word bird. I was originally going to make a point in this post about how everyone should aim to under-describe things. When someone describes a person to me in great detail, (blue eyes and blonde hair and wearing this and that), I’m afraid none of it actually registers. Yes, I have face blindness.
So, because I can’t picture scenes in my head, I have a tendency to under-describe things when writing. In fact, if i can get away with it, I don’t describe things at all. When I write about kids in a classroom? I myself have 0 idea what the classroom layout is like. When you read it, you probably picture your own classroom prototype (and maybe shift things around a little), and that’s wonderful.
You know those maps of the land they have in front of fantasy books sometimes? That’s what info-dumping description is like. You get everything at once but you can’t remember it immediately, so you have to keep flipping back to the front. It’s exhausting.
Human brains are very elastic! It’s better to introduce little bits of information at a time, and we’ll automatically adjust our mental imagery to fit the description.
Descriptions should be like math (more math analogies, anyone?) You learn something, you integrate it so it’s now an instinctual memory, and then you learn something new to supplement it. And honestly, it’s like you can’t go back and imagine life before learning that new thing. Now, it’s like it has always been there.
It’s like the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon, which is a phenomenon that when you learn something new, it’s suddenly everywhere. Imagine learning a new skill in a video game, and then it’s suddenly applicable in all aspects of life. Well, that effect doesn’t exist. It’s just called learning things. If you hear a foreign langauge, it sounds like absolutely nothing. Now you learn that language, and you start to recognize it everywhere. Is it because we’re in a simulation? No it’s because you know it now. Where was I?

Funimation Con - Adventures in Translation with Industry Expert
11:30 AM - 12:30 AM (PDT) | Room 1 | Friday 3 July 2020
Panel Description: Ever wonder what it takes to translate anime? There’s a lot more to it than you’d think! Listen to a vivid experiential recollection of translating Japanese anime into English from one of the leading authorities in the field.
Host: Sarah Lindholm (Translator Funimation)
Usual questions: How does the process start? What does translation at Funimation look like?
First things first, it helps the translator to know the story in advance. If you can, type out the solution to the mystery or give a full summary it helps the translators get a feel for how they frame the translation. So before simulcasting an anime, our team talks to the Japanese team that worked on the anime or manga and sends the manga to the translator to start analyzing the text and get the story right before we start re-scripting an anime to English.
Things we’re looking for as we re-script/translate to English (or any other langauge):
Jokes, puns, wordplay
Cultural references (original culture)
Cultural references (referred culture) < ex. Animes set in france with french puns for the audience
Non-verbal cues)
Wordplay is the Devil’s Work:
Case Example: Black Butler
Where do we start? First, look at background and setting:
Where is it set? Set in Victorian England, 1888
Who are the main characters: Sebastian, a demon serving in the role of butler. Ciel, his young master. Claude, a rival demon butler in season 2. Alois, Claude’s young master.
Second, we look at important or recurring elements. In our case example (Black Butler) we have Sebastian’s catchphrase, “Akumade shitsuji desu kara,” which happens in nearly every episode. It features a double meaning to , ostensibly he’s saying “You see, I am but a mere butler.” But the exact same sentence pronounced or spelled slightly differently would mean “You see, I am a demon and a butler” because “akuma” means demon in Japanese.
Remember that:
Listeners may take the statement differently based on their knowledge that Sebastian’s a demon.
If you don’t know he’s a demon, you will take the line for its actual meaning of him being a “mere butler.” If you know he is a demon, you will enjoy the double meaning of the text.
Specific concepts to therefore be aware of is: demon, butler/servitude
Miscellaneous factor: smugness of the character.
Therefore: “Akumade shitsuji desu kara.”
Literal meaning: You see, I am but a mere butler.
Double meaning: “You see, I am a demon and a butler.”
How would you translate it?
Tumblr media
PUN BATTLE! Black Butler II
Claude’s (butler 2) catchphrase is “Danna-sama wo aku made musaboritai.” It is commonly addressed to Alios and it means “I want to gorge myself on you/devour you until I’m overfull.” But you can see it has the same “akumade” sound that Sebastian’s pun did, with “akuma” meaning “demon.”
What do we do about translating? We break out the scratchpad! Different potential translations include:
Tumblr media
Non-Verbal Cues:
Case Example: Kase no Stigma
Visual Mismatch:
Result of missing a cue or of translating from the script only.
Typically involves question & answer pairs
Breaks the story
When Up is Down and Right is Wrong
Context: Ren is grieving for a girl he couldn’t save. Ren’s older brother consoles him, “I think she was happy, in her way. [...] you made her into a living person.” Then he asks a question: “Sora ja fuman ka?” Ren shakes his head (the non-verbal cue).
Now “right” is wrong! How? In English culture, shaking your head means “No.” But in the context of the story and Japan’s culture, the shake of the head is not “no” but that you’ve given me some piece.
How do we mediate these right-wrongs? We like to do a watch-through to focus on the bigger picture. The questions we seek to answer are:
(Prewatch) What problems do you see coming up in the season that may need foreshadowing?
Does the video mess with the words you chose? Is there a lot of word play present in the current text?
Did you miss anything?
Is it too fast or to slow?
(We also do a general proofreading of the script!)
Tumblr media
Another note: Idioms don’t translate well so you need to rewrite some lines to give you as similar an experience as possible.
The Final Big Question: “What is Accuracy, really?”
Think of yourself as the characters and think of the experience the creator wanted. Where am I? Japan? France? Outerspace? What are the rules of those areas? How does the creator view the show (potentially)? What’s the genre?
A good tip is to watch a lot of movies and film criticism--it plays into your work a lot! Particularly in fitting the genre.
Another note: Google translation has played no effect in thus far in the profession of translating at Funimation simulcast department of translation. Google’s software still has many flaws in translating, and can’t describe the meaning of the sentence well enough to be useful. It is also particularly poor with idioms.
Terminology:
Case Example: Princess Jellyfish
Background:  THE AMA-ZU (the name of the group of geeky girls in Princess Jellyfish.) Ama with this kanji is “nun” and it is Japanese slang for a spinster (someone of marrying age but who’s never gonna to marry). It is also associated with the “b word.”
So, how do we translate this? Our answer: “The sisterhood”
Why?
Tumblr media
Finally: Some books on translation theory the host recommends: Theories of Translation (https://www.amazon.com/Theories-Translation-Anthology-Essays-Derrida/dp/0226048713/ref=pd_lpo_14_t_0/135-6117623-9673542?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=0226048713&pd_rd_r=d4b40cd7-4afa-413a-a77e-7dd625a6b90a&pd_rd_w=EIIcM&pd_rd_wg=VWV3n&pf_rd_p=7b36d496-f366-4631-94d3-61b87b52511b&pf_rd_r=4H7KDQDT33GNDC2YGNR6&psc=1&refRID=4H7KDQDT33GNDC2YGNR6) and The Craft of Translation (https://www.amazon.com/Translation-Chicago-Writing-Editing-Publishing/dp/0226048691)

Project 2
Story and language lives within the collective unconscious.
In our minds eye we can weave a story unseen to the world until we pour upon open page, or to speak those machinations   a loud for those in earshot to hear.
Upon this theme I think of macro and micro story and language.
Macro, mythology, common tales, a song, a religion, beloved classic books. langauges as they adapted in culture, the evolution of language, a speech given to a crowd ( I am a student advocate so I have spoke to crowds many times. I am reminded of the mixed emotions I felt as I poured my mind and heart to group of hundreds. ) popular songs.
Micro: Conversations , a personal story, a song you sing to only those closest to you, dreams.
There are many ways in which one can communicate, but to translate that into art I must first examine my own body of work.
I make comics for fun. As a child interested in art I made many that spanned thousands of pages. I believed my future would be as a visual story teller. Which is not exactly how I proceeded with life.
Onward I proceeded to tell stories in a different way.
I begun art projects called Animatics. ( which are essentially story boards that tell a story to the setting of a song. Like a comic that’s  words are the lyrics of a song. Usually very fast and messy work that is raw and emotional in nature. Combining both the song with visual aides allows them to transcend the sum of their parts.  It is messy, It is raw, and it is in my case, very personal. )
Now as an adult I find it so much harder to provide work to the public that is a story of my own, an  emotional response that is my own. Not that the art isnt made, it simply never leaves my room. That may or may not change, it may hinge on this class who knows.
I work primarily in Macro, Big ideas, Big emotions. Sweeping across a vast multitude  of people so that for a moment we all can share that same feeling. To ache with it, to sway to its inevitable and simple season. Gods and monsters, love, apathy, hate. But a very common denominator has been death.
As follows are my ideas
1. “ seduction is a well witted banker” or alternatively “ The story of season”
Form & content: This piece will depict a story that is well known. The story of Persephone and Hades, particularly Persephone's decent into the underworld to become the bride  of its king. This myth is well loved, a story many of us know. I will have the innocent and young goddess of spring walking further from the sunlit garden she’d spent her childhood in, descending into the underworld. Her lover awaiting her impatiently at the bottom of that decent a contrast of bright and dull. He himself older, put together, well dressed, and she casual and carefree, young. I am uncertain if I want to modernize them yet or not. At this juncture the piece lives as a rotating composition. the upper lefthand belonging to Persephone, the lower right hand side belonging to Hades.
Process:
The piece will be between 11 x 14 inches or much larger.   I will bring in sample sizes when we go to talk about these things in class.
Watercolor is my main painting choice, but I may opt to do this painting dark to light in acrylics. I will bring in samples to class. I want to feign a sense of transparency in the souls of the dead reaching towards the light. stylistically I was thinking something not quite literal but not quite abstract either.
Materials:
Watercolor
acrylic
 canvas.
mount
frame
2. “ Savage gardens in babylon” or alternatively  “ the queen city escape”
Form & content: This projects concept is to take poetry and marry it to illustration. A chronicle of personal and playful expenditure. the point is to tell a story that others can connect to, to invite the viewer to see themselves in the simple illustration and relate with my words. To create a garden that exists for 5 minutes or more and have a open dialogue with themselves. to hear my story and to relate it to their own coming of age.
Process:
This project would ultimately be a video I assemble. The frames of the video would be hand drawn illustrations put in and processed over a voice narrating a poem I wrote. It would quite literally tell a story that ultimately I hope most people could connect with. I want to build a loose body of work to go with my very tight one as well. So I believe I would allow the art to move and flow with this project as well.
Materials:
video monitor
charcoal
Drawing paper

“ A pain that turns the innards cold, that is where we are in this place where you are living, but already  knowing you will never grow old. “
3.” to be young and daring “
Form and content:
I was approached by a client to recreate a scene for him from a film he was working on. He was interviewing people and came across a scene he wanted to include in the film he was making but there was no visuals to go with this project so he contacted me about animating the scene. I have accepted.  The content will be recounting a night from before I was ever born. I will recreate a bands performance and the lead singers daring during said performance. It is a funny story, and will be recounted verbally in the interview that the scene was originally told to them.
Process:
A interviews audio will play as my semi realism in rough  “ take on me” music video styling illustrations gives the story to you visually. The lines will be stark and inky against the background, the content bold.
Materials:
the interview audio
pen
ink
graphite
drawing paper
That concludes my project ideas for story and language. I had so many ideas when it came to this project, but these were the ones that gave me the most traction. I feel I could take any of these and run with it. I will have to post my sketches later as my notebook that they were in is not in my possession currently.

08/03/19-GROUP PRESENTATION
Today we discussed our group project created mind maps, research and initial sketches of what we could explore as an artefact for our project. We came up with this concept to look at Language as our artefact, this might develop into a physical product or become just a verbal presentation of what the future of Language is. We set goals individually to explore our own cultures seeing as we are quite an international group. We all come from different areas so we want to explore our cultural language (mine being English).
We went away separately to explore the future of our languages and how these will be represented in the future. Visually I thought about creating a layered animation, aided by a voice recording in our different tongues but the same text, talking and saying the same thing.

// Label Development \\
I knew I wanted to add the shape of the logo over the label, however, when I quickly lay it over I realised that all the information would not come out.
I went back to the digital file and made sure nothing was too close to the edge. I then put the image over my design to make sure before printing it off. I noticed that some of the information was still slightly off centred to I rectified this again before printing them off and trying again.
Once printed, I cut out the shape and then placed it on a bottle. I don’t have one shape four times over, so I took photos on one bottle and I’ll have to experiment to get the final photograph in the box.

What’s inside Nobuyuki’s Castle?
Answer: adorbs stuff, and some of the most adorbs stuff in there are Benmaru’s stuff, like this sleeping fawn brothers...
Tumblr media
(Yes I am obsessed with them...) (And for some reason I got so many Ieyasu Chibis stalking my castle now?) Soooo, in Nobuyuki’s castle, in random order, you will find:
Tumblr media
Fawniyuki and Fawnimura Resting Fawn Brothers
Tumblr media
Benmaru Young Yukimura’s Drawing
it says Aniue (big brother) in hiragana. (Awwwww)
Tumblr media
Letters from Benmaru Young Yukimura.
it says “ Itsumo Arigatou, Benmaru.” - Always thanking you, Benmaru. (double awwwwwww)
Tumblr media
Kimono Under Repair
So Nobuyuki is darning Yukimura’s kimono. (TRIPLE aaawwwww)
Tumblr media
Nobuyuki-sama’s Sewing Kit.
Related to the Yukkin’s kimono earlier, so in one of Tenka’s Nobuyuki ES, it’s mentioned that he has a secret room no one is ever been in (I STILL THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE SOMETHING KINKY), which turns out is where Nobuyuki stashes his sewing supplies because the man excels and enjoys needlecraft.
Tumblr media
Yep, he can be the Vice president of Tenka High’s Sewing Club, fufufufufu. (Kenshin is the President, of course, but we know who puts most hours into the club, hahahahahah). Also, he uses Yukkin to model the clothes hm hm hm .
Tumblr media
Most Favourite Dish Anmitsu
It’s basically a lot of sweet stuff (fruits mostly, these days can also include mochi, ice cream and pudding) with sweet red bean paste and honey. I like this choice for Nobuyuki, in his ES he rarely gives a straight answer (for mystery and diplomacy’s sake but I like to this he is one whose thoughts is always evolving hence he never settles for one truth), and like the ingredients that make up anmitsu, he can be quite different person depending on the situation,
Tumblr media
 Hannya Folding Screen.
Hahahahah, related to how he is painted. Nobuyuki is usually benevolent but he can be easily wear a hannya (devil) mask if you hurt or threaten his loved ones.
Tumblr media
Lost Small Bird.
Ok on his earlier ES and birthday items, Nobuyuki’s  motif used to be oshidori (mandarin duck). I speculate that Tenka team originally quite ambitious and cohesive about each lord’s aesthetic but alas, this game has grown so complex it might be impossible to maintain a consistent visual langauge for more than 20 characters, especially when the creative team changesss. Anywaayyysss. In his MS I think they switched his motif to peach blossom (to go with Yukkin’s peach fruit motif maybe) and this unnamed green bird. In kimono motif this tiny green bird usually is Uguisu (bush warbler) which is almost always paired with Ume (plum blossom). Beautiful motif suitable for late winter/early spring.
Tumblr media
Nightcap.
Ok, remember how he made MC drunk? I think he’s has a high alcohol tolerance but drink moderately and enjoys fine sake and Late night conversation.
Tumblr media
Books he is currently reading
(among them how to embroider silk, Saizo’s advanced love guide and rare imported books on strategies).
Tumblr media
Bookshelves full of books
well, duh. Because you need to be told twice how literate this one is.
Tumblr media
Nobuyuki-sama’s Go Set
and also, a cunning linguist strategist.
Tumblr media
Reading Lantern
Tumblr media
Nobuyuki-sama’s Bedding
where smut happens...
Tumblr media
Otedama Cushion
It’s traditional Japanese cushion, often touted as a proto beanbag.
Tumblr media
‘Ki’ Wall Scroll
Ki or Qi refers to the Chinese concept of energy flow. Lol, Nobuyuki basically has a calligraphy of the ‘THE FORCE’ on his wall. Only, you know, done elegantly.
Tumblr media
Nobuyuki’s Katana
He wields two too.
Tumblr media
Nobuyuki-sama’s Armour
Let me just finish the list by shamelessly plugging Benmaru.

Visual Langauge: Evaluation
Throughout this module, I have gone through the process of investigating an area of a well-known place to tell a story, along with a look through how producers make use of design, colour and composition for media-based resources including film and television.
I’ve been learning many different skills that go towards an animated production and how film producers encode messages for the audience through the usage of filmmaking techniques. Other skills range from researching a topic in-depth to planning out a product that aims to meet the client’s needs. As a recap to the brief, we were given the task of investigating an area in Ouseburn Valley and developing our concept for an animated sequence. For the concept, I decided to focus on the former glassworks site. This gave me the challenge of interpreting what could have happened to the place in the past, as there was little information regarding the site.
The Ouseburn Glassworks site was chosen to serve as the location of which the animation is based upon. This site offered the now-blocked furnaces, along ten green bottles sitting on top of the furnaces, referencing the song. With those bottles, I decided to endorse them for the animation by making use of those for an easy transition scene. This meant that it would allow the audience to look into the past through a transition. I’ve always found the site compelling enough to interpret what might have happened in the past, and this would allow me to embrace my creative thinking skills.
If I were to improve, I would aim to focus more on the planning process to manage my time well into working on specific components that make up the animation. Additionally, next time in future, I would also try to add more to the overall clip from the animation as well if I could.
On a more positive note, I was able to demonstrate my skills in using such Adobe software without any issues. This was primarily because I was familiar with creative applications. My attempts on creating the concept art for my animation also show my understanding of making improvements as well.
The premise of the animation was successful too, with it being an interpretation of the Ouseburn Glassworks from the past. It met with the client’s needs of focusing the animation on a chosen area from a place, and it empathises the history of the site to an audience.
However, despite those areas that have been successful for me during this module, I initially struggled with the brief upon receiving it. When it came to developing a single idea out of Ouseburn’s many sights while investigating the history and heritage there were a lot of areas to choose from for the animation. I was able to settle with the one taking place in the old glassworks site.
Overall, I believe that during my time producing work for the module, it has been rather successful for me whenever it came to demonstrating my creative mindset to share with both my mentors and others. Even if there were some areas I still needed to improve over, I am more than happy to continue expressing my creativity while focusing on a given brief.

Reasons For Elevated Alkaline Phosphatase.
The first time I was actually launched to a Zebra was by my craftsmen uncle. In taking into consideration the catastrophe of such untamed youngsters, this is needed to point out the essential duration theory, which asserts that there is actually an optimal 'window' of your time to acquire foreign language in an environment, where langauge is actually utilized normally. There is actually a segment from the recreation space I can play in." I did a droopy wrist at all of them and pointed out out loud, Ah, tha's jus' all of them," and also carried on to the white colored women who were actually skipping rope. Illumination: While this's excellent if you have access to professional workshop lighting, sexy images may be made with everyday room lighting fixtures also. Successful design starts along with a sturdy, visually-appealing focal point, therefore essentially, you yearn for a wonderful white and black bedding set in your lady's or teen's bedroom. White chihuahuas could possess dark noses and nails or even a lighter color including off-white or pink. When washing be sure you actually pay attention to the seat and also the upper arm rest where most of the dirt and physical body oils are going to accumulate. Typical features: Accumulator-assisted hydraulics, five-point button, multi-processor control. If your analysis reveals that you are actually typically alkaline, you'll have to work a bit harder (and also children might run in your family) yet rarely is actually obtaining a pink baby's room inconceivable. A good little one young boy or little one female title normally adds up to the odds of several individuals suching as the infant while meanwhile, a title that is considered certainly not thus excellent is commonly works to the disadvantage from the child. Whether for Police or even Gal Scouts, the tradition from Precursor patches carries on today as this has for decades. Some people acquire both items as well as use SonicBrite for a deep cleaning and also Retainer Brite for daily use. Ones that carry the X chromosome and are going to result in an infant girl if they fertilise the egg and also ones that hold the Y chromosome that are going to result in a kid if they fertilise the egg. It is actually certainly not matched to any type of cartoon or comic release at that time, as well as its not very well known, also regarding Wayforward video games go. I would certainly really love to become capable to say the creative crew based that heavily on the NES creed traditional Metallic Hurricane as that shares a lot of the exact same concepts and total style options, however I cannot also find any information to prove that case. Whether the man is an outdoorsman, seafarer, clerical or even blue collar worker, tradesman or even a fashion design, the environment which they are actually exposed to every day assists to create and also mold their body system and components. time of conceptual sex-By sleeping around ideal before and also soon after ovulation you can prefer the child semen, alternatively, make love to conceive simply numerous days prior to ovulation and also you provide the boy sperm to long to make it through, and a girl little one are going to likely outcome. The lot of trainees progressively raised, as well as today over 51,000 young boys have actually been educated at Presumption University. Blake: English name which was actually http://pieknowtobie.info connected to terms for white colored as well as dark, so was provided as a nickname to individuals with incredibly decent or incredibly black hair. My view on children possessing handheld games consoles? Often young boys have an orgasm while they are resting. I simply got a handsome blue child with a white colored dash on his breast and a stunning little bit of strong white colored one they vare vbrothers coming from the same litter.
