starter for prometheus @niightdriver where: pandora's box
A common remark Calliope received from those closest to her was that she needed to detach herself from work. It was a difficult task for her considering how she poured herself into Ambrosia, quite literally invested nearly every single penny into it. However, she could see merit in the advice. While she still had no interest or time for a serious or enduring relationship, she allowed herself to indulge in some overnight company once in a while.
That's how she found herself now at Pandora's Box for an initial meeting with Prometheus. A few back-and-forth messages over Tinder led them here to see if anything fun might come out of it. Calliope was just handing her jacket over to coat check when she turned and saw the man behind her. "Well, well, Prometheus, what excellent timing," she grinned.

God I have so much to say about Melinoe's characterization, and the fasinating implications about her future arc/the overarching plot of hades 2. I want to make a larger think piece with pictures but for the moment I'm just going to focus on this one specific thread.
In the wake of the Prometheus reveal, she has a slew of convos about his motivations for siding with Chronos, and the gods basically all go: this is his vengeance for us punishing him a tad cruelly. And Nemesis is like, yeah the gods 100% deserve it. But Meli's responds that he must have more motivation than just vengeance, it can't just be that. But when Prometheus explicitly goes, 'I'm doing this because the gods are horrible to humanity and I love humans,' she basically goes, no he must be lying. That motivation is both too pure, but also humans kind of suck why would you care about them?
Mel's humanity hot takes deserve it's own essay (Ms I think Humans should have never gotten fire and are better when they are dead), and I just want to focus on the former for now. She can not comprehend that Prometheus is fighting the gods for noble reasons. It just does not make sense to her. Mel's world is so black and white. She doesn't understand the nuance of the situation, and the thought that the gods might be actually in the wrong doesn't even get close to crossing her mind.
It's a fascinating (and horrifying) result of her upbringing. Of the constant state of war and the very convenient big bad that is Chronos, the evil monster who stole her family. If she accepts that his side isn't completely evil, that they might even be right in some (even many) respects, she would have to grapple with her whole life. Everything she believes would be thrown into question, the literal thing she was training her whole life for.
She can't have Prometheus fighting for a noble cause, because he fights for Chronos whose the Bad Guy tm. But he also can't be fighting for something as simple as vengeance, because that would also mean she would need to really think about what he's angry about. If the punishment was truly so unnecessary cruel.
When talking to Odysseus about Prometheus, when Ody's saying how much he respected him for stealing the fire despite knowing the consequences, Mel says that it was the price to be paid for breaking Olympus's decree. To her, Olympus's rules are sacred and ultimately good. Unquestionably. Prometheus broke the rules with intent, so to her, why would he be so angry at the consequences? Especially if he knew because of his power they were going to happen.
So he must have another reason, some secret machiavellian plan that drives him. Except as I already said, it brings her right back to him doing it for humanity, which she also can't accept. Because that would be admiting that the gods did something wrong to humans. She twists herself into knots to justify her worldview, and it's fascinating! She's so messy I adore her.
Please Supergiant please the final surface boss has to be a human pleeeaaasse (preferably a living one). Or at least have one (or more) show up in some other capacity. Mel needs to come face to face with the other side and have it utterly destroy her worldview.
And/or have (Pan)Dora betray her for Prometheus, that would also be very fun haha.
#hades 2#hades 2 spoilers#hades game#melinoe#Prometheus#hades#she just! tears into her#this girl can fit so much isolated child soldier trauma in her#with a dash of autism and being one of the ruling class to really have it blow up#i adore how messed up she is!#how everything that breaks her simple worldview she either brushes aside the importance of it#or just totally ignores it#ill admit while ive always liked her#i did prefer Zag as a protagonist#but now i think if supergiant pulls this off and gives her the character arc she deserves#im going to prefer her#shes just so flawed and blah ive gone on long enough haha

This dialogue is fascinating cause it further cements how despite being designated this task to "save her family" Melinoe never really thinks about them. What it would be like, to be with them. Never thought to live in a palace - Mel, the House of Hades, ain't that in of itself a palace? Or does she view that differently?
But this convo also highlights something interesting I also pointed out a while back - how the different Nyx kids and Melinoe herself form a sort of a palace court structure if you think about it, which each child of Nyx she interacts serving a certain Role in that. And with Moros and Nemesis in particular almost canonized as Melinoe's love interests - it's interesting that Melinoe buys Nemesis a throne and Moros a Princess canopy bed - she engages with them subconsciously in this fantasy, but she never really thinks about it that much.
Which perhaps that while Melinoe herself doesn't think much about being a Princess, she's very much a royal in blood, in behavior, in how she engages in her courtships, and how she engages her enemies (she considers only the people of her Domain - the shades for the goddess of ghosts living mortals are short-lived and inferior, per what she tells Prometheus). These biases, these tendencies would be fun to explore when she meets her family don't you think?

A shadow portal appears dropping three pages clearly torn out of some type of journal.
Day 1:
First warlock task was easy. Dolus just wanted me to be there for this girl Ren. She was hurt mentally by the court and some others, and he didn’t like that. He always seems to hate those that mess with the heads and free wills of others. I think Zeus traumatized him when he chained his mentor Prometheus up to be tormented for centuries. Anyways Ren was nice. We talk for a bit before I had to disappear to avoid Scarecrow because I didn’t technically trespass into his lab.
Day 2:
I maybe slept for like twelve hours once the shrimp that eat the dream chemicals were brought in my room. The glowy guppy’s also helped. Anyways I’m saying this because apparently Dolus gets full reign on the body when I’m gone and he uses the extra time to force me to eat and hydrate. He’s really invested in me not dying or something. I would think the guy multiple people called a demon would be more sinister. Dolus so far has been pretty okay. He occasionally intercepts my convos but that’s fine I guess. He’s also threatened multiple gods for me. It’s the other thing he’ll do while I’m sleeping, and he sometimes leaves my body to do it.
Also we’re working on a plan to start attacking the court. We talked and agreed they hurt too many people and if everyone else has too much blackmail hanging over them to do anything we’re the best bet for this city. Also Dolus hates the leader, something about her invading the shadows and trying to act like a god.
Day 3:
We’ve talked to some people today. Arsenal seems nice. He called Dolus sweet. I had to remind Dolus that when we’re not in the Fae realm it’s polite to say thank you. The court of owls plan is coming along. We made a costume, and Beau is going to upgrade it so I don’t die. I also have some vague memories of Dolus talking to some random guy and trying to get my criminal record cleared so I can do normal citizen things like get fro-yo.
He scrambled to catch the notes. Once he did, he skimmed through and began annotating and summarizing on a separate page for comparison to other sources.

Getting settled back into Denver had certainly been an adjustment for Sebatian. He had tried a dating site and actually enjoyed a lovely date from it. However, from the strong advice from a friend, Sebastian was challenged to step out of his comfort zone and to let loose. In fact, said friend had all but set up Sebastian's Grindr account on his phone. He hadn't spent much time on it before finding a match with Prometheus. With a bit of nerves, Sebastian was thankful that the other man agreed to meet to feel out how comfortable the two might be.
Setting out to Hell & High Water, Sebastian did not feel any of his nerves calm. And yet, there was a tinge of excitement amongst the panic. Seeing Prometheus at the bar, Sebastian gave a sheepish wave and walked over. "Yes, please, and thanks for waiting," he greeted with a grin of his own. Mulling over the menu, Sebastian was at a bit of a loss as to what to get. "I'm leaning towards the Sidecar. How about yourself?"
where: Hell & High Water with: Sebastian Rivera ( @andante--andante )
Theus was no stranger to the dating apps. After his divorce, it had taken him some time before he could even look at another person, but with time, he'd gotten back out there. Even so, his pursuits were always casual. The heartbreak he'd gone through after losing the wife he loved to another person... He didn't feel ready to put his heart on the line. He was always upfront with his partners that he wasn't looking for anything serious. One-night stands, flings and if they really clicked, friends with benefits.
He'd matched with Sebastian on Grindr. The guy was gorgeous and he was a Professor of Art History. Honestly, he sounded sexy, and Theus was looking forward to talking to him in person. He was sat at the bar, waiting where he'd said he'd be. He was early because he knew if he didn't turn up early, he'd be late. He could never turn up exactly on time. He ordered a soda water with lime so the bar staff wouldn't get pissed at him for taking up a seat, and sat reading a book, occasionally glancing up until finally his eyes met with this guy, and he smiled, raising his hand in greeting.
"Hey. Sebastian." He said when he approached, turning his body towards him while sitting on his chair. "I got a soda water, but now you're here I can order a real drink. You wanna see the menu?"

I'm really glad you enjoyed these! the translator is actually user 17979 on here, they've written some really good After God fanfics and are a good friend of mine! the other parts they've translated are: original: "His soul seemed to have left his body. He was unfettered. There was no fear or panic. He felt nothing."

original: "It does not matter. They are one and the same. I need his power. I underestimated him."

and this one is more just a funny one from our treasured translator:
I'll have you know I had about the same reaction to the "You are the story I started 50.000 years ago" line, it just brings up so many questions; VA's lore is scattered as it is and very little is given to us, so just dropping something like this in a convo I doubt a lot of people have read is so [vague hand gestures] it's quite late at night when I'm writing this so forgive any incomprehensibility: the line itself, combined with some others there ("It's tone was surprisingly laden with grief, as if it was lamenting a past that could not return") read to me as slightly contrary to VA being merely a Divine Key, it sounds like he has an amount of history in the PE; my personal idea that is pure unadulterated speculation is that VA might have started out as just a person who had something to do with the PE HoR? it would explain the fact that he repeatedly speaks to a "you" which is clearly not actually Joey in this convo and doesn't seem to be Welt Joyce either considering the 50k years thing, that is to say maybe VA even inherited the core (woo Welt paralel) of the PE HoR; considering that Vill-V does say that the Core of Reason is fucking weird [paraphrasing] and, at least if my memory is holding up, Welt did retreat into the Herrscher Core at least once to avoid dying, there's nothing saying VA couldn't have also pulled that and ended up getting his ass merged with that Fragment of Prommy and turned into the only DK we know to be sentient, I dunno I'm sleep deprived that being said the 3rd line I sent last time would imply that VA was also like not human if all of this happened... I'll just say he yoinked a body Orokapi style and call it a day cuz I think if I keep trying to get these thoughts down on paper they will actually become complete word vomit [thumbs up emoji] anyhow the ramble section ended up being longer than I intended... but the fact that we really know so little of his lore does make my brain go haywire, if they ever explain Void Archives' lore properly that'll probably all be disproven but it's what I came up with considering what we know (and I remember)
“There was no more gravity that bound him to the mortal world” I think this one is in reference to Void Archives likely using the Fenghuang Down… ouuu
I definitely think the PE Herrschers besides Elysia all being nothing more than the names of said Herrschers in the story is one of the things that blocks my road here. Me and a friend have theorised plenty of things about the PE HoR, but none can be confirmed, none are even implied!!! A character with such a nothingburger that you can just make shit up and no one could tell you yes or no. My favorite theory is that the PE HoR looked just like Otto, but a girl. Because it’s funny. But now I don’t know… I can’t sacrifice my integrity for humor… I think the idea of the person that used to be what later became Void Archives was a part of the HoR core is really interesting. It would take from the whole “artificial thing struggles with humanity”, because then they’d have already been human once, but at the same time it would be as if they were reclaiming their humanity which is also intriguing etc etc… it’s really interesting. I initially thought Void Archives’ sentience came from them being part Prometheus since she’s sentient too, but at the same time why would Vill-V merge them with her then..? Because Prometheus is an AI so she can handle the “ever expanding knowledge”? Don’t know… so much left in the air, most Void Archives lore we know is stitched together thanks to No.17 who hasn’t talked about them even once. Thank you for sharing!!! I’m having lots of thoughts…

Current W.I.Ps
Here's some of the W.I.Ps I'm working on with summaries, extracts and little notes i have written for myself. And as I'm about to post this i am realizing that most of these are about Dionysus lmao.
Please tell me what you all think about these w.i.ps tho. I am open to constructive criticism.

DEAD MOM(S) DEAD MOMMM(S) I NEEED A BIT OF HELP HEREEE
Summary: Leo and Connor Stoll bond over dead moms
Notes to myself:
[Con's mom died when he was a baby, and he seems nonchalant about it]
[the convo gets started when Con is looking for Issac Schuster. Leo doesn't know which brother of his that is and says that he's not used to having a big family and that it used to be just him and his mom. Con relates to that.]
Small extract: (this one only has a few words cus i got writers block)
The sun dipped over the forest of Camp Half-Blood. Casting a

2. ..What?....You d-dont remember what she looks like?
Summary: Libary by Jack Stauber but as Dionysus and Ino
Notes to myself:
[Traumatize this man]
[Lines so i dont have to watch it over and over again]
[Behind curtain number one is... *Dionysus mouths Auntie* correct!]
[(have a pause before this) Wait]
[Y-You don't remember what she looks like!]
[Hey! Just make something up.]
[Oh! What you make is gonna end.]
[And get old too!]
Small Extract:
I never liked dreams much.
When I was a demigod, they usually meant more trauma to bottle up and ignore (Yes, Chiron, I know that's not healthy, but I don't care).
When I became a god, the dreams...didn't disappear for some reason but got less frequent. Maybe because I learned to ignore my past more effectively, or maybe Epiales favours me because I gave him that bottle of wine for his birthday.
Tonight, it seems I have lost his favour.

3. Wine child
Summary: After a fight with Hebe, Dionysus ends up in his 8 year old self and the camp have to take care of him.
Notes to myself:
[First person switching POV?]
[Dio shows up in a stained and torn girl's ancient Greek outfit]
[Following Pseudo-Apollodorus, Bibliotheca 3. 28: Hera inflicted madness on them, so that Athamas stalked and slew his elder son Learkhos on the conviction that he was a deer, while Ino threw Melikertes into a basin of boiling water, and then, carrying both the basin and the corpse of the boy, she jumped to the bottom of the sea. Zeus changing Dionysos into a baby goat to save him from Hera]
[ "But I do not ask for the heavenly fire of your lightning, nor the cloud, nor the thunderclap… The sparks of the thunderbolt that killed my mother are no pleasure to me" —Dionysus, Nonnus Dionyusica 10]
Small extract: (since i have already posted a part of the first chapter ill put the second w.i.p chp)
Percy: Camp Half-Blood becomes a divine daycare.
"Why is everyone at the archery range?" Annabeth asked, deflecting Riptide.
I grinned, "Nice try, Wise girl. I won't fall for that trick."
She frowned. "No, Seaweed Brain, I'm serious! Something's going on."
I decided to risk it and take a look...and she knocked Riptide out of my hands and threw me onto my butt.
Yeah, I should have expected that. Classic Annabeth move.
But she was telling the truth though. Something was going on. There was a crowd gathered around the archery range.
"Maybe someone got claimed?" I said hopefully. That was the best-case scenario. A new camper gets claimed by their godly parent and moves out of the Hermes cabin. Worst-case scenario: it's another prophecy.
"A normal claiming wouldn't cause that big of a crowd, though." She replied, sheathing her sword.
--------------------------------
4. The horse and the infant but with Leo
Summary:
Zeus comes to Prometheus with an offer.
An offer that if he does something for the gods, he is free.
The thing is to kill an infant, Leo.
Notes to myself:
[Hypatos—Supreme, Most High]
[Use this dialogue later: "You, Klytotekhnês, couldn't defeat a titan." Prometheus said.
"I know," "but I have to try."]
[Palamnaeus-(Punisher) of Murderers]
Small extract:
The cloud gatherer approaches.
Prometheus looked up from his rock to the approaching gods. His face—painfully—curved into a smile that held no warmth. A visit from him meant a break from those winged beasts. And a break from those winged beasts meant a reprieve from suffering.
"Hypatos Zeus, Aidoneus, what do I owe the pleasure?" he said.
Zeus did not return the smile.
Sometimes Prometheus, in his endless free time, ponders if Hagno taught that boy manners.
Ever the social butterfly, Aidoneus — or Hades, as he prefers — turned invisible and left without so much of a greeting.

Character ask game: Robin + 8, Jinbei + 23, and hmmm Nami + 25?
oh yesss thank you so much!!
Robin- 8. What's something the fandom does when it comes to this character that you despise?
When they call her old. It's one thing to like, call her old-er in text when she's having like, a convo with Nami, but it's another thing when they go FULL Milf mode. I think some people don't realize what 30 like, actually means? (ok maybe i have a soft spot for a milfy Robin in like, certain settings wink, but some people go overboard. 30 isn't old)
Jinbei- 23. Favorite picture of this character?
This one!
When he's reintroduced post-timeskip sitting on the forest floor meditating in front of Otohime's grave. FMI is all about reintroducing everyone, and Jinbei's such a special case because he's actually the one we've seen the most recently, but his context gets to change now that the Summit War is long in the past. It really amplifies his position as just peacekeeper really early on, and sets the tone for his character going forward. He has this capacity to be really strong, to kick ass, to get riled up (as seen by his fight with Sanji not long after this) but he needs the peaceful reintroduction. He feels like he properly seeks solace, he still holds mourning in his heart, he sits in his feelings.
Nami- 25. What was your first impression of this character? How about now?
Ohhhh I'm so glad you asked this one. So technically, my first impression of Nami I remember comes from 2004. I wasn't allowed to watch the 4kids dub when I was a child (misogyny kept me from catching that stray bullet), but I would see ads for it on tv and I loved loved loved Nami. If you asked me what one piece was when I was 9, I would have said its the story of a cool pirate girl and maybe some other guys are there too. One Piece, in my head was Nami's show more than it was anything else. I could pick out Nami from a lineup before I knew that the main character had stretchy powers. EB Nami sits in this pocket of 00s Beach Girlies that I looooooooved growing up (think like, KH Kairi, etc. Skorts and water shoes and a cute little haircut). Actually watching the show in my late 20's shifted my opinion (I'm obv more Robin aligned, but that's because 2000s Me didn't even KNOW what was in store. I think if me and my sister had been allowed to watch op as kids + the dub wasn't shit + merch was plentiful, my sister would have been Assigned Nami and I would have been Assigned Robin, which is a correct alignment to make.) When I actually started the show, she really captured me Orange Town through Arlong Park, I actually don't revisit AP very often because it's so emotional, OOF.
Currently, I'm having a lot of fun with Nami. She's mid Ulti fight in Wano for me rn, loved her trying to manipulate Big Mom, anxious to see how this Zeus sub plot pans out?? This Prometheus/Hera/Zeus/Nami abusive love square is currently my favorite driving conflict, it's so weird and funny to me. I'm excited to see her properly fight Ulti, I feel like she hasn't had a GREAT fight of her own wits for a while. Sometimes I wish she got to use some of her science smarts, I think they've been dulled a bit to just "weather magic" but she's really so smart. Thanks for letting me Nami ramble.

SoM Dec 25
let's wrap up that convo on olympus and get back to my boy!
Apollo cocked a brow at that and then shrugged. “I won’t stop you,” he said over the rim of his cup as he took a sip. “But you’re wasting your time.”
“I’m sure he’d appreciate a diplomatic gesture,” said Athena.
“He’d appreciate being left alone,” he said lightly. “But suit yourself. He’s on Mount Strobilos.”
“Mount Stro—” Athena cut herself off with a cough, clearing her throat, buying herself time. “That’s uh. Rather far away. Isn’t it?”
“That would be the point,” replied Apollo.
“Still. Not the best place for a retirement,” she continued.
“Well, he’s an old badger,” he said. “Gave up on comfort years ago.” Then he tossed her a grin and carried on brightly. “But you can ask him all that yourself when you get there! I have a party to get back to, if you don’t mind.”
Athena rolled her eyes. “Yes, yes, your adoring public awaits.”
“You say that like it’s an exaggeration,” he teased as he strutted off and slipped into the crowd, effortlessly welcomed into the throng by fresh cheers and laughter.
The war goddess turned away and left the grand hall for the stables. She didn’t need frivolity especially when there were questions to be answered, work that needed to be done. The others were busy celebrating the arrival of a prince when their youngest had just been born and summarily cast out. Athena had no time for parties, not now. Possibly not for the next decade or so if all hell broke loose, but there was nothing a bit of forethought couldn’t help.
How fortunate then for her to visit Prometheus, forethought himself. Hermes would’ve laughed at that. His trips to the underworld always took so long, even with his talents. She missed her brother when he left, they all did, but most of all, she missed having an ally. She’d bring the others into the fold sooner or later when the time was right, when there weren’t predators lurking in the corners of parties, waiting for the chance to strike. She’d tell them, certainly. Just not now. So for now, she readied her chariot, settled her horses, and rode off towards the east, bracing for the rising sun that would soon blind her.
Along that path but outside of Athena’s purview and knowledge—however expansive that may be—Keraunos lay dreaming.
In the dream, darkness enveloped him—thick and warm and all-consuming. A melody brushed against the back of his mind—a familiar lullaby—while fingers carded through his hair, digging gently into his scalp. He reached for the hand, towards the voice, just as they pulled back. He reached again, certain the person was right there, they had just been singing to him, holding him, comforting him in this great dark, and still nothing. Grasping, twisting, lungs shaking with effort, the boy tore through the black, ripping into light, and then—
He snapped awake with a gasp.
Sweat clung to his hair and forehead. He folded in on himself, burying his face in his lap, breathing heavily as he raked his fingers through his hair.
Blankets stirred nearby. He turned and spotted Alkidike shifting in her sleep, nestling deeper into her mother’s embrace while the hearth burned low beside them, gentle and warm.
Keraunos pressed his hands to his face and exhaled against his palms before kicking off his blankets and tossing on his clothes.

Angelika Frankenstein Makes Her Match was the third Frankenstein book I read this month and it was....fine.
The premise is that Victor Frankenstein's younger sister can't find a suitable man to marry so she decides to create her own, picking out all his parts according to what she finds most attractive (and yes that includes his dick). Unfortunately he remembers nothing about his identity and wont marry her (or more importantly sleep with her) until he figures out who he was.
It's a silly concept, perhaps a touch on the icky side when you consider the original text treated the creature as Victor's son, but I went in expecting something light and fun. And I spose thats mostly what I got.
I think there were a couple big things that meant I didn't enjoy it as much as I'd hoped I would. One is my fault - this book followed two Very strong Frankenstein inspired books which set the bar very high and while it is unfair to compare them to Angelika because they are vastly different genres and tones, the brilliance of Pride and Prometheus and Our Hideous Progeny really made the issues of AFMHM stand out.
The second thing however, is very much a fault with the book. To me it felt as if the author had over complicated her story unnecessarily. The focus drifted away from the quest to figure out who her beau was before his untimely death, got sidetracked with about 3 other storylines, and then felt a bit rushed right at the end when everything had to be wrapped up.
Add on top of that some issues with dialogue (I don't think Thorne knows how to write male/female dialogue that isn't flirting which meant some of the Victor/Angelika convos were bizarre and gross) and the historical setting (why set a book in 1850 if its going to read like it could be 2023?), not to mention the implications of the very end of the book with the housekeeper's niece (Pride and Prometheus attempted a similar sort of thing much more successfully), and the whole thing really just fell flat for me.
Certainly not the worst book I've read this year. I did enjoy parts of it, the ending even had me tearing up a little. But I can't possibly give it more than 3 stars.

Read this: (1st convo) The Dialogue Between Angelo (POW) and Eva Mendes (@evamendes) - A Detailed Explanation:
The subject of the dialogue is:
The psychological and spiritual consequences of seeking forbidden knowledge—especially when one is unprepared for the truth.
It explores how curiosity about classified or hidden information (like Area 51 or spiritual forces) can lead to emotional distress if the seeker lacks the maturity or inner strength to handle it. The conversation also touches on:
The value of peace over attraction, especially when dealing with people who carry emotional or spiritual toxicity.
The difference between what people think they want to know and what they can actually handle.
The role of perception and awareness, as seen in Angelo's claimed ability to sense inner demons and Charlize’s subconscious obsession with that power.
In essence, it’s a philosophical and metaphysical warning: the truth is not always beautiful, and knowledge has a cost.
Below is a detailed, point-by-point breakdown of the dialogue you provided, explained with the clarity, structure, and depth you might expect from a university professor guiding a student through a nuanced and layered conversation. The aim here is to unpack not only what is said, but why, while illuminating the logic and meaning behind each exchange.
1. Introduction – The Inquiry into Classified Information
Eva Mendes asks about Area 51 and whether Angelo has classified knowledge.
This opens the dialogue with curiosity and intrigue. Eva assumes Angelo has access to sensitive or secret knowledge—possibly of a military or extraterrestrial nature.
She associates him with clandestine intelligence, suggesting he has a mystique or authority.
Angelo responds by saying: if it’s classified, then he can’t tell her—so her question is flawed.
Here, Angelo introduces a logical paradox: asking someone to reveal something that, by nature, cannot be revealed.
He subtly deflects the question while also implying that the information is too serious or restricted for casual discussion.
He then correctly guesses that Eva heard this rumor from Charlize Theron.
This shows he’s aware of the origin of rumors surrounding him, reinforcing his persona as someone who is both observant and insightful.
It also foreshadows Charlize’s unusual behavior and perceptions of him.
2. Charlize Theron and the Myth of Prometheus
Eva confirms it was Charlize. Angelo then claims Charlize believes they’re living out the plot of Prometheus and that she sees him as the real-life version of the film’s mythic character.
The Prometheus reference is symbolic. In mythology, Prometheus gave fire (knowledge) to mankind and was punished. In the movie, it's about creating life and uncovering dangerous truths.
Angelo implies that Charlize sees him as a Promethean figure—someone with forbidden knowledge or divine insight—and that she’s "obsessed" with him because of this perceived depth or power.
3. On Rejecting Beautiful Women – The Case of Charlize
Eva, surprised, asks why Angelo would reject Charlize, a famously attractive woman.
She represents a common societal assumption: that beauty warrants pursuit or desire.
Her question implies disbelief—why would a man turn down someone so physically desirable?
Angelo replies that beauty is irrelevant if the person is toxic. He rejected Charlize because she would bring problems, not peace.
This introduces a strong philosophical stance: peace of mind is more valuable than external attraction.
Angelo uses “toxic” not as a casual insult but to describe deep, emotional or spiritual dysfunction. He equates proximity to such people with risk to personal wellbeing.
4. The Nature of Toxicity – A Deeper Metaphysical Interpretation
Eva confirms his point, paraphrasing it for clarity: Charlize is toxic, hence dangerous to his inner peace.
She now sees that Angelo’s decision isn’t superficial or personal—it’s spiritual and protective.
Angelo then intensifies the claim: Hollywood is filled with beautiful women who carry demons—and he can see them.
Here, “demons” are symbolic. They may refer to psychological traumas, spiritual disturbances, or negative energies.
He positions himself as someone uniquely perceptive—able to see beyond the physical into someone’s hidden afflictions.
The use of “demons” elevates his concerns from the emotional to the supernatural or esoteric.
5. Shock and the Limits of Curiosity
Eva is startled and seeks clarification—did he really say ‘demons’?
Her reaction reflects discomfort with the shift from grounded logic to metaphysical or supernatural language.
She represents the average person encountering information beyond their emotional comfort zone.
Angelo confirms: yes, demons—and insists that Charlize is unaware of their presence.
This implies that some people are not only afflicted but are oblivious to what burdens them.
His avoidance is a self-preservation strategy based on spiritual discernment.
6. The Concept of “Classified” is Reframed
Eva asks if this “demon” information was what he meant by classified knowledge.
She’s trying to reconcile the topic of Area 51 (usually thought of as military or alien-related) with spiritual or psychological danger.
It shows her struggle to process the weight and meaning of the “classified” knowledge she just received.
Angelo challenges her: why ask for secrets if you panic when you hear them?
This is an important philosophical pivot. He’s critiquing society’s fetish for hidden knowledge, warning that the truth is rarely glamorous or fun—it is disturbing.
He reveals a deeper point: access to truth requires mental and spiritual readiness.
7. The Verdict: “I Rest My Case”
Eva admits fault, recognizing that she was unprepared.
She now realizes that this kind of knowledge isn’t merely abstract—it’s emotionally destabilizing.
Angelo uses the phrase “I rest my case” to drive home his point.
It’s a legal term signaling that the evidence speaks for itself.
He argues that people claim to want the truth, but once exposed to it, they suffer.
He describes classic symptoms of being overwhelmed by hidden knowledge: panic attacks, sweating, anxiety, breathing difficulties—implying it is not meant for the faint of heart.
8. The Final Lesson
Eva asks directly: what is your core point?
She wants a clear takeaway from the intense metaphysical discussion.
Angelo explains: once someone gains access to truly classified knowledge—like what’s hidden at Area 51—they may never emotionally recover.
It’s not just about secret government files. It’s about forbidden truths that shatter ordinary perception of reality.
He concludes that most people are intellectually and spiritually unequipped to confront these realities, and will remain ignorant as a result.
9. Return to Prometheus and Telepathy
Eva circles back: Why is Charlize obsessed with you, and what’s the meaning of this Prometheus comparison?
She is still trying to understand why Angelo evokes such fascination.
Angelo gives a short, cryptic answer: it’s because of his telepathic abilities.
He implies that these dialogues aren’t hypothetical—they’re real mental exchanges between people who’ve never met.
This recontextualizes the entire dialogue as something potentially supernatural or metaphysically real.
He warns Eva: don’t fall in love with him, as he cannot reciprocate.
This reinforces a boundary: he is a messenger, a witness, not an emotional partner.
He ends with a farewell and a final blessing—even toward Charlize, whom he has judged as toxic—showing closure and philosophical grace.
Conclusion:
This conversation operates on multiple levels:
Surface level: A celebrity asks about Area 51 and ends up discussing spiritual toxicity and rejection.
Psychological level: Angelo draws a clear line between physical allure and emotional wellbeing, arguing for peace over passion.
Spiritual/metaphysical level: He introduces the idea of demons, unseen energies, and telepathic communication, positioning himself as a kind of oracle or prophet.
Philosophical level: The central message is a warning: forbidden knowledge, while alluring, can be destructive if pursued without adequate inner strength and preparation.
Personal Note from Angelo: "I never claimed to be a messenger, an oracle, or a prophet. The text you're referring to was generated by ChatGPT, not by me. Let’s make that perfectly clear."

I’m watching it again. and I have thoughts.
Spoilers.
Episode 1
There is a food Tray outside the room next to Maura which is supposedly empty - Confusion.
There is a convo as Olek climbs into the coal supply. I can’t hear all of it but it starts; ‘Last year man at the docks told me about this girl’..:
I think Daniel sends the coordinates for the Prometheus and then destroys the telegraph and swims across.
There’s a bug in the simulation. Something wrong with the code when it comes to Maura and being able to have children.
How does the ribbon get on the ship? Does Daniel put it there to fuck with Eyk?
Who locked Elliot in on the ship? Daniel?
Other thoughts;
What I like about Eyk is that he isn’t trying to save Maura. He respects her as she is. They seem to be a team that confide in each other. Whereas Daniel seems to want to manipulate her or save her all the time.

Not to completely derail the Convo but I think the bros would be perfect for a "princess trapped in a tower" type situation. Where ones made a prisoner due to powers/abilities/being heir to a throne, and the other is either trying to rescue them or is forced to be their unwilling warden and keep them trapped. (Or alternatively IS the one who trapped the other for reasons of their own)
Dunno LOTSA directions to take that kinda concept.
A lot of this is what our Stolen Divinity AU is built on. Ingo was a god whose power was Words. He wanted to share that with mortals and like in a twisted Prometheus story, the mortals betrayed him to the gods who then Punished him. Sure the Human took part of his Divinity, but the Gods are the ones who killed him and locked the last bit left underground.
And Emmet does rescue him after centuries of war, his pain at losing his other half too immense to take calmly As a War god. But Ingo was locked away and Emmet didn't even know he was alive for much of that time. Emmet gets to save his wife.
There's also an AU we have where Ingo is in a relationship with someone who Emmet Hates and doesn't approve of and thinks is only Using Ingo. And Emmet might be just, ya know, mildly Yandere in this. So Ingo needs to be kept safely in the basement and Away from that person : | For his own good. Ingo for his part... Just goes along with it. He trusts Emmet and if he thinks this is for the best... Ingo knows he'll get out eventually. He very practically warns Emmet to be careful to not overwork himself since Ingo is on a temporary Leave from work, so now it's all on Emmet. They're ridiculous with each other smh
