Why Ionic Outperforms Flutter in 2024: 7 Data-Driven Reasons to Choose Ionic
Tumblr media
In the competitive realm of hybrid app development, selecting the right framework is crucial for ensuring the success of your project. As of 2024, Flutter and Ionic are the two leading contenders in the field. While both frameworks have their strengths, an in-depth analysis of data and technical aspects reveals that Ionic may have the edge for many developers and businesses. Here’s why Ionic stands out, supported by compelling statistics and technical insights.
1. Hybrid Approach Enhances Performance
Performance is a pivotal factor in choosing a development framework. Ionic’s hybrid approach utilizes pre-existing plugins and technologies that enhance development efficiency while maintaining high performance. Ionic delivers a consistent 60 FPS across both desktop and mobile platforms, demonstrating its ability to offer smooth and reliable user experiences.
Flutter, known for its native compilation and custom rendering engine, also achieves 60 FPS. However, while Flutter’s hot reload feature can accelerate development, it doesn’t always translate to faster overall development time. Data suggests that Flutter's hot reload can reduce development time by up to 63%, but this benefit is often counterbalanced by the complexity of the app being developed.
2. Superior UI Customization and Flexibility
UI design flexibility is another critical factor where Ionic excels. Ionic leverages web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, providing developers with a comprehensive library of pre-designed components. This allows for highly customizable and responsive UIs, with standard-based web components that can be styled to resemble native elements, ensuring a consistent look and feel across various platforms.
Flutter, in contrast, employs its own rendering engine and offers a range of pre-designed widgets. While these widgets adhere to Material Design and Human Interface guidelines and provide extensive customization options, they may not offer the same level of flexibility as the standard web components used by Ionic. For businesses seeking a tailored UI with rapid implementation, Ionic’s approach offers a significant advantage.
3. Enhanced Code Portability and Maintenance
Code portability is a crucial aspect of modern app development, and Ionic’s use of web technologies facilitates this with ease. Developers can deploy a single codebase across mobile, desktop, and Progressive Web Apps (PWA), simplifying code maintenance and updates. This approach reduces the time and effort required to manage different platform versions.
Flutter also supports cross-platform code sharing but relies on Dart, which is less widely adopted than JavaScript. Although Flutter's single codebase approach is effective, developers may face a steeper learning curve with Dart, potentially impacting the speed of development and onboarding.
4. Developer-Friendly Ecosystem
The developer experience is greatly influenced by the ecosystem surrounding a framework. Ionic’s ecosystem is designed to enhance developer convenience, offering extensive documentation and compatibility with popular JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJs     , React, and Vue. This integration allows developers to leverage their existing skills and tools, facilitating faster development and maintenance.
Flutter requires proficiency in Dart, a less common language compared to JavaScript. Although Flutter provides comprehensive documentation, the learning curve associated with Dart can be a barrier for new developers or those transitioning from other languages. Ionic’s ecosystem, with its focus on familiar technologies, presents a more accessible option for many developers.
5. Accelerated Development and Deployment
Speed is critical in the app development lifecycle. Ionic’s hybrid approach and efficient use of web technologies contribute to quicker development cycles. With its vast library of components and plugins, developers can rapidly assemble and deploy applications, minimizing the need for extensive custom coding.
Flutter’s hot reload feature is designed to speed up development by allowing real-time updates without restarting the app. While this feature is beneficial, the overall speed of development can still be affected by the complexity of the application and the need for frequent updates. Ionic’s streamlined approach often results in faster development and deployment times.
6. Cost-Effective Development
Cost considerations are always at the forefront of app development decisions. Ionic’s utilization of web technologies and pre-existing plugins often results in more cost-effective development compared to Flutter. The use of JavaScript and established web frameworks typically leads to lower development costs, as teams can build on their existing knowledge and tools.
In contrast, Flutter’s development costs may be higher due to the need for specialized Dart expertise and potentially longer development times for complex applications. Although Flutter can deliver high-performance apps, the associated costs can be a significant factor for businesses operating within tight budgets.
7. Established Community and Support
Community support and available resources play a crucial role in the development process. Ionic’s longer presence in the market has fostered a robust ecosystem of resources, tutorials, and community support. This established network provides valuable assistance for troubleshooting, learning, and keeping up with the latest advancements.
While Flutter is supported by a rapidly growing community and benefits from Google’s backing, it is relatively newer compared to Ionic. As a result, the community support and resources for Flutter are still expanding. For developers seeking a well-established support network, Ionic’s longstanding presence offers a substantial advantage.
Ionic’s Technical Superiority
Ionic excels not only in performance and development efficiency but also through its robust technical features:
Plugin Integration: Ionic utilizes Cordova and, more recently, Capacitor plugins to access host operating system features such as Camera, GPS, and Flashlight. This integration allows developers to build applications that leverage native device functionalities while using a unified codebase.
Comprehensive Framework: Ionic supports building apps that can be customized for a range of platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows, Desktop (with Electron), and modern browsers. This versatility is facilitated through Ionic’s build tools and simplified command-line interface (CLI), which streamlines the app-building and deployment process.
Extensive UI Components: Ionic includes a wide array of mobile components, typography, interactive paradigms, and an extensible base theme. Web Components used in Ionic provide custom elements and methods for interaction. Notable components like virtual scroll allow for smooth scrolling through extensive lists, while tabs create native-style navigation with history state management.
Development Tools: Ionic offers services that enable code deploys and automated builds. Although its own IDE, Ionic Studio, was discontinued in 2020, the CLI remains a powerful tool for project creation, plugin management, push notifications, and native binary generation.
Conclusion
In conclusion, while both Flutter and Ionic offer distinct benefits for hybrid app development, data and technical insights indicate that Ionic may be the preferable choice for many projects. With its hybrid approach, superior UI customization, code portability, and developer-friendly ecosystem, Ionic presents a compelling option for businesses looking to develop high-performance, cost-effective applications.
If you're considering developing a new application or updating an existing one, hiring Ionic developers could significantly enhance your project’s success. Ionic’s strengths in development efficiency and technical versatility make it a robust and effective choice in the competitive landscape of hybrid app development.
By choosing Ionic, and with the expertise of skilled Ionic developers, you can harness a framework with a proven track record, ensuring efficient development and deployment processes. For a well-established support network and a streamlined development experience, Ionic is the framework to consider.

Software publishing signatures are so costly 😭 I am broke af
Minimum cost of software publishing signature costs 199$ a year and without it windows 11 will flag of unknown app warning with while install. Windows 7 and windows 10 don't flag this but from windows 11 it does. I am broke af. I can't buy that publishing signature !!! I don't even make that much!! That's the end of making windows application career for me 😭😭😭 why these big tech are sucking our money. Linux is so good !! One little app image and you could run your applications in it!!

Thank you for the tag @greenleaf4stuff!
Favourite actor/actress: Going into the show, I only knew Joseph Mawle (who I adore). This show has introduced me to so many wonderful actors such as Moryfydd Clark, Charlie Vickers, Ismael Cruz Cordova, Sam Hazeldine, Charles Edwards, Sophia Nomvete, and so many others!
Favourite ship: I'm a huge ScarredSilverDoors (Celebrimbor X Adar X Narvi) fan (I think I'm the only fan at the moment, but soon there will be dozen of us!)
2nd favourite ship: I also love SilverScars (Celebrimbor X Adar)
Favourite scene in season 1: Oh man, this is hard. Uh it's a tie between Elrond and Durin's first interaction and the introduction of Adar.
Runner up: Ooo it's either Celebrimbor's intro or when Durin takes Gil-Galad's table (I love the dwarves, ok?)
Favourite scene in season 2: Oh, definitely Adar stabbing Sauron. it's beautiful shot, a great intro to Sam's Adar, and so satisfying to see Sauron stabbed repeatedly.
Runner up: I love when Celebrimbor makes Annatar watch the mouse. It's such a great scene. I also love Celebrimbor's last words and Sauron's tear. It captures their relationship perfectly and shows Celebrimbor as defiant to the very end.
What you hope to see in season 3: I'm really interested in seeing how the Khazad-dum storyline develops and I'm actually really curious to see what happens in Pelargir, especially if that's where Sauron goes first to spread his influence into Numenor. I want to see him interact with Kemen and Theo.

The reason skykestis hit me that hard is, I think, the whole “hope” motif. A Cal & skykestis essay ahead. Jedi fallen order & survivor spoilers, look out.
Cal’s a Jedi Padawan who barely survived the purge because of his master’s sacrifice; he’s been hiding on Bracca scrapping ships until found by Inquisitors and escaping with the help of a former Jedi Master Cere and her pilot Greez. Together they embarked on a mission to find the Jedi holocron containing locations of force-sensitive children in hopes to restart the Order - quietly, in shadows. Ever since, Cal’s been fueled by hope. It guided him, it was the source of his power: he reclaimed his old abilities and was rapidly gaining new strength. By the end of the Fallen Order he’d dealt with two Inquisitors and beat a former Jedi Master Taron Malicos, who, unlike Cere, did not sever his connection to the Force, but fell to the Dark side and was actively conquering Dathomir. (I bet Maul was on a business summit on Nar Shaddaa at the time, otherwise he wouldn’t have tolerated Malicos). Anyway, upon finding the holocron and realising the danger that its existence was for the force-sensitive children, Cal decided to destroy it. However, this victory only encouraged his devotion and love for the Order, which he never stopped missing.
In the years to come his self-imposed mission was to stop the Empire. I see little mention of it, but we know for a fact that by 10 BBY he’s become the most wanted man in the Empire. The bounty for his head was so large that he could never stay in one place, actively hunted by the imperials, mercenaries, and criminal syndicates alike. He worked with Saw Gerrera and became Saw’s “sword” (or rather “lightsaber”), making the resistance a force to be reckoned with. His team split up - Greez retired and opened a cantina on a remote world of Koboh, while Cere deceived Cal, saying that she’s retiring as well but instead she went to develop a secret network to help force-sensitives and those who sympathised with resistance - the “Hidden Path”. She used Cal rampaging around the galaxy as a distraction and a shield to help her quietly establish the Hidden Path. Cal knew nothing of it, though. He believed that he was the only one of them left fighting. But he could not quit - it would be a betrayal of his love for the Order and his hope of one day restoring it.
Throughout all these years and the second game he was actively discouraged to fight by his companions, who’d been telling him to stop, take a break, lay low, but it was something he could not do:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Credit for the screenshots to the wonderful theRawTRex on YouTube).
I know Jedi Survivor for some reason wants to make it look like Cal’s just fighting to avenge his lost people, but, knowing the original Star Wars universe, I see it as not him being misguided and desperate, but rather guided by hope - so strong that he still finds strength in it after years on the very front line. And, of course, by the Force.
Again, none of what he did was futile, despite the Empire’s optimistic reports. I understand that it was him, together with Saw Gerrera’s military prowess, that made Rebellion a possibility, and he was the reason why by the start of the Force Unleashed in 17-18 BBY Vader and Emperor both were so concerned about the rebels that they even sent Galen Marek, aka Starkiller, to lure them all into a trap. They hoped to finally kill Cal, but by then he’d taken permanent residence on the hidden world of Tanalorr to hide a force-sensitive child, Kata, so no one could reach them. Cal and Saw’s reputation drew imperial forces and the Emperor’s attention, letting other Jedi like Eno Cordova, Rahm Kota, Shaak Ti, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and also rebels like Cere Junda, Merrin, Lothal cell with growing Ezra Bridger, survive. Unfortunately, it also made the Empire angrier and angrier, tightening the grip on the Senate, which is extensively addressed in A New Hope. But it was Cal and Saw’s doing that started the Rebellion. Galen Marek later completed it, gathering the Alliance leaders together, Ezra Bridger supported it, sacrificing himself to kill Grand Admiral Thrawn, all laying foundation for Luke and the others’ victory.
The end of Jedi Survivor is controversial. Throughout the game Cal’s strong in his belief and conviction. He’s a Jedi, despite being completely alone in doing so. But everyone he knows keeps telling him to accept the end of the Order as he knew it and start a new life. Everyone - except Bode, a new crew member. Cal instantly warms up to him. Of course, Bode ends up slowly talking back to him, too:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Abandon your way, embrace a new, easier one.” Sound familiar? Yeah, Bode ends up being an imperial spy and a Dark Jedi, who kills Cal’s friends and sets Darth Vader after them all. This breaks Cal - in a way, and he surrenders. He goes to hide on Tanalorr with Merrin and the others. And he starts struggling with the Dark Side. He’s losing his way. He’s losing the Order - and himself - from his vision. In his heart he still longs for it sincerely, desperately, but what can he do when he lost so much and so many, and the remaining want him to surrender? He’s giving up the galaxy to the evil, betraying his very nature as a Jedi. The conflict tears him open. He becomes unbalanced. The hope in him dims. But it’s still there. His hope is the root of his conflict, but it is also the root of his strength, it is his very heart. Will he destroy it, passively living out his remaining days, waiting to die? Will it destroy him, twisting him to the Dark Side, making him destroy what’s left?
Or will he listen to it, as he did - always? Will he, a conflicted Jedi Master, try to teach force-sensitive Kata, and find his way through his teaching, hear again the will of the Force?
What if one day he dreams of a man in a black cape, holding a strange black-and white saber over a small green creature; of legions of imperial troops marching through peaceful towns; of twelve bacta tanks crammed in one room, with identical shapes inside, so heavy in the Dark Side, filled to the brim with the will to tear kill maim burn, and a programming typed on their screens: destroy Luke Skywalker!). What if, troubled by horrible anticipation, he returns - and where were burnt worlds exhausted by tyranny, finds a newborn republic…
And there, on a remote planet - a young man, struggling to build a temple with a tiny green apprentice?
For Cal Luke is not just “hope”, but hope realised, the embodiment of something you’d been fighting tooth and nail for - come to life. He is the proof that Cal’s way was right and righteous; he is the proof that every battle was worth it. He is a hope for an even brighter future. He is the purpose and the meaning. Post-ROTJ Luke is the Order, despite being just one scarred young man. He is balance and peace. He is home Cal’s been fighting so long for.
On the other hand there’s Luke, who’d recently completed fighting a war. He’d mourned his aunt and uncle who raised him, his Master Obi-Wan, his Master Yoda, his father; he’d been travelling around the galaxy first to stay alive, then to find traces of others who stayed alive - only to learn that he truly is the last of his kind. His whole world is now his temple (which he’s slowly building. It’s not like he’s got much money. Or experience building temples) - and Grogu (who’s still learning to talk but is always very eager to help, which is why Luke is doing twice the work to plan, build and simultaneously keep his little apprentice away from the rather dangerous construction site). They cannot take more students: it is too dangerous now. He feels loneliness - the same kind he saw killing Yoda - overtaking him. His only guests are mercenaries sent by Moff Gideon, or notorious Boba Fett making attempts at his life, who’s sent by Moff Gideon, or old imperial TIE fighters sent by Moff Gi- well, you get the idea. It is expected. But it also makes him feel, despite the welcoming, sincere whisper of the Force, that the huge galaxy wants him gone. It has forgotten the Jedi. He will persevere no matter what - for his Master, for his lineage, for Grogu, for the Order he’d never seen but loves so much, but it takes a toll on him. Leia, who finally visits him, notices with concern how he stopped smiling. She also tells him what he’s been noticing in the Force for a while: the situation in the galaxy is changing; imperials gather troops massively, they’re organised now, as if something encourages them, as if they think they have a chance against the young republic. They’re preparing to strike. That means - Luke will be going to war soon, again; leaving the small temple he’s built for Moff Gideon to rampage through, again; sending away his Grogu, again, - the boy’s father, who’s very busy with bounty hunting work, will not be happy, but Luke would rather let his whole planet burn than endanger Grogu even for a second and bring him to a battlefield. The future seems like a burden; he prays that they’ll not be crashed by it. Grogu is eavesdropping on his conversation with Leia. Luke lets him. When he exits, the boy attaches himself to Luke’s shirt and does not let go until falling asleep in the evening. As if to mock Luke, the Force, despite all terrible prospects, despite all the facts, seems light and merry.
The next morning at dawn Luke is outside. He’s already finished with his own training and meditation, and is doing some light yoga while waiting. It’s time for Boba Fett’s routine assault. Boba Fett is probably not aware that his assaults are addressed as “routine”, but the Force warns Luke well in advance so that he’s able to make his schedule work. He wonders what it will be this time - lasers, smoke bombs, or some aggressive creature? Strangely, Boba’s eleven minutes late. It’s not good: they should start on time to finish before Grogu’s morning meditation. Luke stretches his senses. Slave One is in the orbit; it bounces from side to side, as if playing tag with someone, then slips away. Instead, there’s another ship. There is something about it that makes Luke stand up, throw his robe on; it tingles the back of his neck, and there’s a knot in his throat that he cannot swallow; disoriented for a moment, he grabs his lightsaber, searching the sky until his eyes hurt. He commands C3PO not to share their coordinates with the approaching ship, then withdraws the command; then repeats it. But the ship does not need coordinates. Soon it emerges from the shining clouds, a sleek form, and starts towards the temple in a perfectly straight line.

Question for ya (if you happen to know) - so Cere gave Cal her lightsaber hilt in jfo and he used it to make a split saber but in Jedi survivor she suddenly has one again when fighting Darth Vader. Where'd she get it from? Was it Cordova's? And if not when did she get a new lightsaber?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Good question - we don't actually know. Sometime between the two games Cere built/found a new lightsaber, but (as far as I'm aware) none of the databank entries or side conversations explain its origin.
But this question made me curious about Cere and Cordova's lightsabers, so here's a longer answer with my own ideas:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Dark Temple Series: cover art by Marco Checchetto, Paolo Villanelli, and Will Sliney]
In the cover art for the miniseries Dark Temple, Cere uses her original saber with its green kyber, but Cordova's saber design doesn't match what we see in Fallen Order. So at some point after these comics, Cordova creates/updates his saber and engraves the Zeffo iconography on its switch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Eno Cordova's Fallen Order lightsaber: design by Amy Fry]
This design can be seen briefly in Survivor when you find the saber in Wayfarer's Tomb. And while we don't see it during the game's final cutscene, Cal possibly buries the saber with Cordova after the pyre. But the balance between game mechanics (new customization options from a chest!) and narrative details (didn't Cal already find Cordova's saber in FO?) makes a "canon" answer more challenging.
Tumblr media
Cere's first lightsaber had specific design requirements because of its story purpose. Jordan Lamarre-Wan explains the hilt is proportionally shorter so it fits the broken section of Jaro Tapal's staff after Cal combines them. We also know the kyber is gone - Cere sold it to pay off Greez' gambling debts and continue their mission.
Cal might've returned the hilt to Cere after fully restoring his master's saber, or maybe pieces of Cere's saber are still inside. Maybe Cere chose not to use it again or simply wanted Cal to keep it.
In her concept art for Survivor, Theo Stylianides does show Cere holding this first saber and its green kyber, but these illustrations were likely made before the sequel's saber designs were finalized.
(Do I wish she had a green saber in Survivor though? Yeah, I do. Is it possible she was given blue for the aesthetic of blue vs red while fighting Vader? Maybe.)
Tumblr media
[Cere's second saber: model by Aaron Fowler]
Cere's new saber, according to Aaron Fowler, is heavily inspired by the "Boone Kestis" concept created by Gus Mendonca in the early development of Fallen Order. The rugged, more utilitarian style matches well with her new role among the Anchorites. Survivor doesn't tell us where the lightsaber came from, but on a planet like Jedha, it's possible she found it or was gifted it while helping create the Archive.
I also think, practically, Cere's first saber would have been difficult to adapt to the new customization options in Survivor. Its small hilt and proportions would've required more alterations to fit the expanded saber components at the workbench. I miss the marble-like textures and woven grip, but I'm glad Cere was allowed to grow and change between games, and her new lightsaber reflects her new identity as both a Jedi and a protector of knowledge.

Hi yes, as Ethan's auntie 💅💅 I am dying to know about him (story, height, age, anything you wanna share)
And also don't forget to hydrate and eat well 💖
Hi! I’m glad you asked<333
So he was born in 33BBY and he’s 1.9 meters tall, his eye color/representative color is klein blue💙
I often refer to him as a Maine Coon because he's big and so clingy and has the personality of a dog but is a cat🐈‍⬛🐾
——————————
Well, about his story, I tried to consolidate in a clueless bunch of chats I had with a friend of mine, and I hope it doesn't look too ridiculous💦
So basically he became Eno Cordova's apprentice (after Cere Junda) when he was about twelve years old and then, we all know what happened after that-Order 66-Ethan was hidden by his master in Bogano so he survived, and then for the next five years Ethan lived on his own in Bogano.
Thanks to BD-1’s company, he was able to survive until Cal Kestis came to Bogano and found him at 14BBY.
——————————
Ethan's first impression is that he's confident and poised, but once you get to know him well, you’ll realize he's actually a childish and boisterous person.
He's also very curious and likes to act cute around people - maybe it's his master's fault for spoiling him so much, considering Master Cordova's own curiosity is also very strong🙂‍↕️ Also resembling his master, Ethan is always gentle and smiling but can be intimidating when necessary, seemingly unreliable but with everything in his plan.
——————————
His mental condition wasn't very good for those five years, lets just say that living in isolation was too fatal for such a kid who needed emotional interaction so much, plus he had studied too much ancient history with his master and seen too many civilizations fall and rise so he was actually a bit of a nihilist(?) at the time, he was forced to live with the chaotic thoughts in his head causing him to become very paranoid for a time, for a while he was almost like a wild animal.
During a battle with a Bog Rat Ethan had to chop off his padawan braid to prevent the situation from getting worse (unfortunately it bit his padawan braid) , at that point he had a complete mental breakdown but at the same time finally realized that he couldn't go on like this, so Ethan finally decided to put himself back together and start trying to live the Jedi way again, even if in the end he might just die alone in Bogano. (He also has a claw mark on his back left by a Bog Rat, okay our boy really hates that creature🥲)
These five years of isolation have left him with some separation anxiety and possessive/controlling of those around him (although he hides it well)
Ethan is the type of person who expresses love directly to those around him and he enjoys physical contact.
Although Ethan always encourages those around him to express themselves, he prefers to work through his trauma on his own.(Similar to wild animals hiding their injuries for fear of being taken as prey)
——————————
So don't blame him for falling in love at first sight with Cal Kestis after five years of total isolation, plus the redheaded Jedi and him had similar experiences, were of similar ages, and were cute as hell😭💘
(Well, Ethan tried to convince himself that it was just an imprinting effect, but no, it didn't work, and every day afterward he found himself falling deeper in love)
——————————
Though it wasn't for long, Ethan developed a deep bond with his master, during those five years Ethan would often clutch his padawan braid and watch the holographic recordings left by Master Cordova over and over again, a habit he kept after he followed Cal to join the Mantis Crew, and you can occasionally see Ethan making a gesture with his hand to hold his no-longer-existent padawan braid when he in a daze or in thought.
——————————
That's all I can think of at the moment, I hope I didn't talk too much💦💦💦
(Sorry if some of my words are weird because I used a translator)
Thank you again for asking me about Ethan, and feel free to ask me more about him anytime 💕💕💕
Hope you have a good day!🥰🫶

LOS ALAMOS, N.M. —  The movie about a man who changed the course of the world’s history by shepherding the development of the first atomic bomb is expected to be a blockbuster, dramatic and full of suspense.
On the sidelines will be a community downwind from the testing site in the southern New Mexico desert, the impacts of which the U.S. government never has fully acknowledged. The movie on the life of scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer and the top-secret work of the Manhattan Project sheds no light on those residents’ pain.
“They’ll never reflect on the fact that New Mexicans gave their lives. They did the dirtiest of jobs. They invaded our lives and our lands and then they left,” Tina Cordova, a cancer survivor and founder of a group of New Mexico downwinders, said of the scientists and military officials who established a secret city in Los Alamos during the 1940s and tested their work at the Trinity Site some 200 miles away.
Cordova’s group, the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium, has been working with the Union of Concerned Scientists and others for years to bring attention to what the Manhattan Project did to people in New Mexico.
While film critics celebrate “Oppenheimer” and officials in Los Alamos prepare for the spotlight to be on their town, downwinders remain frustrated with the U.S. government — and now movie producers — for not recognizing their plight.
Advocates held vigils Saturday on the 78th anniversary of the Trinity Test in New Mexico and in New York City, where director Christopher Nolan and others participated in a panel discussion following a special screening of the film.

Nolan has called the Trinity Test an extraordinary moment in human history.
“I wanted to take the audience into that room and be there for when that button is pushed and really fully bring the audience to this moment in time,” he said in a clip being used by Universal Studios to promote the film.
The movie is based on Kai Bird and Martin J. Sherwin’s Pulitzer Prize-winning “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer.” Nolan has said Oppenheimer’s story is both a dream and a nightmare.
Lilly Adams, a senior outreach coordinator with the Union of Concerned Scientists, participated in the New York vigil and said it was meant to show support for New Mexicans who have been affected.
“The human cost of Oppenheimer’s Trinity Test, and all nuclear weapons activities, is a crucial part of the conversation around U.S. nuclear legacy,” she said in an email. “We have to reckon with this human cost to fully understand Oppenheimer’s legacy and the harm caused by nuclear weapons.”
In developing and testing nuclear weapons, Adams said the U.S. government effectively “poisoned its own people, many of whom are still waiting for recognition and justice.”
Adams and others have said they hope that those involved in making “Oppenheimer” help raise awareness about the downwinders, who have not been added to the list of those covered by the federal government’s compensation program for people exposed to radiation.

Government officials chose the Trinity Test Site because it was remote and flat, with predictable winds. Due to the secret nature of the project, residents in surrounding areas were not warned.

The Tularosa Basin was home to a rural population that lived off the land by raising livestock and tending to gardens and farms. They drew water from cisterns and holding ponds. They had no idea that the fine ash that settled on everything in the days following the explosion was from the world’s first atomic blast.
The government initially tried to hide it, saying that an explosion at a munitions dump caused the rumble and bright light, which could be seen more than 160 miles away.
It wasn’t until the U.S. dropped bombs on Japan weeks later that New Mexico residents realized what they had witnessed.
According to the Manhattan Project National Historical Park, large amounts of radiation shot up into the atmosphere and fallout descended over an area about 250 miles long and 200 miles (322 kilometers) wide. Scientists tracked part of the fallout pattern as far as the Atlantic Ocean, but the greatest concentration settled about 30 miles from the test site.
For Cordova and younger generations who are dealing with cancer, the lack of acknowledgment by the government and those involved with the film is inexcusable.
“We were left here to live with the consequences,” Cordova said. “And they’ll over-glorify the science and the scientists and make no mention of us. And you know what? Shame on them.”

Navigating the Complex World of Mobile App Development
In today’s tech-driven world, mobile apps have become a cornerstone of how we connect, work, and play. Whether you’re launching a startup or enhancing an established business, building a mobile app can be a game-changing move. One of the most important decisions you’ll face is choosing the right technology stack. The tech stack you pick will directly influence your app’s performance, scalability, and overall user experience.
What Exactly Is a Tech Stack?
A tech stack is essentially the set of tools, programming languages, and frameworks you use to build your app. For mobile apps, the stack typically consists of three main components:
Front-End: This is what users see and interact with — the app’s interface.
Back-End: This is the engine under the hood — handling data storage, processing, and integrations.
Platform: The operating system your app is built for, like iOS, Android, or both.
Key Considerations When Picking a Tech Stack
Let’s dive into the options and what you should think about when deciding which tools to use.
Platform Options
Native Development
Languages:
iOS: Swift or Objective-C
Android: Kotlin or Java
Pros:
Best-in-class performance.
Full access to device features like cameras, sensors, and GPS.
Cons:
Higher costs.
Longer development time if building for both iOS and Android.
2. Cross-Platform Development
Frameworks:
React Native (JavaScript and React)
Flutter (Dart)
Xamarin (C#)
Pros:
Faster development.
Reusable code for both iOS and Android.
Generally lower costs.
Cons:
Slightly lower performance compared to native apps.
Limited access to some advanced native features.
3. Hybrid Development
Tools:
Ionic (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
PhoneGap/Cordova (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
Pros:
Easy to learn and work with if you’re familiar with web development.
Leverages standard web technologies.
Cons:
Performance is not as strong as native or well-optimized cross-platform apps.
User experience can feel less “native.”
How to Make the Best Choice for Your App
Your decision will depend on several factors. Here are some key points to consider:
App Complexity:
For simple apps, cross-platform frameworks like React Native or Flutter are great choices.
For feature-heavy or complex apps, native development might be the way to go.
Time to Market:
If you’re on a tight schedule, cross-platform tools can speed up the process.
Budget:
Native development can be pricey since you’ll likely need separate teams for iOS and Android.
Cross-platform and hybrid options are usually more cost-effective.
Performance Needs:
Native apps deliver the best performance, but modern cross-platform frameworks have come a long way and can handle most needs efficiently.
Team Expertise:
Leverage the skills your team already has. If they’re experienced in JavaScript, for example, React Native might be a natural fit.
Final Thoughts
Choosing the right tech stack is a pivotal step in mobile app development. It’s about finding the perfect balance between your project’s requirements, your budget, and your team’s expertise. By weighing factors like app complexity, performance, and cost, you can make a well-informed choice that sets your app up for success. Remember, a solid tech stack is the foundation of a scalable, user-friendly, and high-quality app.

Hera & Kanan Jarrus ( @violentdelightstheseviolentends ) Where : Cordova Wood Campsite
Hera let Jacen run in front of her. He was hunting for the perfect flat rocks, Hera had promised to help him learn how to skip rocks. So she carried a small bag, that was getting heavier with every step they took. She didn't care though, she loved when he got excited about these kinds of things. He was eager to learn and she wasn't one to squash his wants. "I think we have enough to begin." Hera stated, "Nope." was his only response as he walked. His little hands swinging by his side. "I want the best rock." Hera had no idea what qualified as the 'best rock' so she just kept walking. Never too far behind, but not close enough to be counted as hovering. Her eyes watching him carefully, since the murder she could have sworn Jacen's hair was developing a green sheen to it.
She glanced at random people as they passed, offering a warm smile or a simple wave. Jacen also peeked up from his hunt to give anyone who caught his eye an eager wave. When he started to veer from the trail around the lake, "Hey, what are you thinking?" She questioned picking up her pace. Jacen didn't break his stride until he peered past a collection of trees. "Jacen Syndulla." Hera called out with a stern voice, as she caught up to him. A breath being knocked out of her at the sight of the person who caught her sons eye's. "Caleb?" She called out confused, moving to put Jacen behind her legs. Jacen's eyes didn't leave the other. "I-- umm--." She didn't quite know what to say. "It's been awhile."

I am procrastinating on replying to a customers email
So I am procrastinating on replying to a customers email. This customer has actually done a lot in donation of my open source project. And also demanded a quite a few things. I have provided few things. But there is one major app that I need to make he has requested. Right now the email that came yesterday asked about some of the support of and knowledge of the product. I am just reluctant in giving a reply now. I want to but it's just that I am avoiding stress at the moment, and concentrating on my studies more. I will reply to him in the night after few hours. *Sighs*
