A correction on Jewish fatalities during the Black Death, the disease was spread primarily by fleas, which wouldn't have been affected much by washing one's hands. There's no evidence Jews died less; this was basically something that antisemites of the time claimed.

In any case, be highly suspicious if somebody tells you a minority is out spreading diseases, because with the Trump administration cutting safety regulations we will see more food-borne pathogens, and the far right has a well-documented history of scapegoating minorities for anything they don't want to take responsibility for.

Sorry for chiming in but I don’t think she was at his show after the bua.

The last time she was at his show was his last LA show in 2022 (Nov 16th, I think it was Wednesday?) where H looked more done than after running a marathon. Then H was like “bitch I don’t even want this stunt money on my account, let’s spend it” and bought new Ferrari lmao, then holivia bua dropped around weekend, H left LA and next time we saw him on his first LatAm show being totally heartbroken and depressed (irony).

Anyway back to that last LA show where OW went (and even took her kids 💀) and that moment with lanyard happend - I saved some printscreens that day so enjoy for a funny throwback we deserved after that nightmare (sorry, don’t have links to these)

Oh my god you’re right! They BUA came right after and said they had broken up days earlier, so it made it look like she showed up after the breakup. Honestly, everything was overshadowed by how happy we all were. And then Harry left for LatAm and was happier than we’d seen him in literal years.

thinkin about the comics again bc I looked over them while drawing and its kinda scary how patient Coyle was before the trials

like in Sinyala, I feel like Coyle maybe seems more impatient bc of the experiments done on him and because his job is to actively stop you through the trials and so he's gotta take every chance he gets to kill you

but in the comic, he's going about his day knowing Clyde is following and watching him and he doesn't do anything about it. He makes it clear that he was aware that he was being followed but he waited. I'd love to know what Coyle was thinking during that. It almost felt like a hunting tactic, waiting for his 'prey' to come to him.

I wonder what Coyle would have done if Clyde never approached him. I feel like he would have eventually confronted Clyde and it probably would have gone the way it did in the bar.

I just think it's a cool detail and I wonder if Coyle has any of that hunting patience left in him.

Found this in a 2011 interview and my mind flashed back to these posts.

Kodaka and Komatsuzaki actually have some buyer's remorse on making Byakuya the "rival" character because he didn't pan out the way he was supposed to. Both Kodaka's writing and Ishida's voice acting ended up working against the character, making him more Smug Snake than Magnificent Bastard. Kodaka even mentions in an art book description for Nagito that he feels DR1 lacked a "threatening rival character" which is the reason Nagito was created.

And so now I wonder if Kodaka even realizes that his unconscious sexism is part of the problem, since he seemed convinced that because Makoto is male then the rival character needed to be as well...when as I already made note of, Celeste is way more fitting for that role given that she shares way more in common with Makoto and Kyoko (the alleged deuteragonist but honestly the real protagonist, just like Sherlock Holmes is even when Watson is the POV character of his stories). To be clear, Celeste wouldn't have been a threatening rival either, but she'd be skilled enough to fake it, which would make the ultimate reveal of her true mundane nature more effective once her inevitable breakdown occurs.

Like I also noted in those previous posts, Celeste as the rival would require some changes to the story - Toko would have to be done with Byakuya after he betrays her by outing her mental condition so that his death would not negatively affect her, the third case would have to be changed to Byakuya killing Hifumi and framing Taka plus killing Hiro as a means of making the mystery complicated enough to fool Makoto (whom he specifically targets due to what happened in the previous case), and the fourth chapter would have to be the stage show's version where Sakura ingests poison before being revealed as the Mastermind's spy and Celeste tries to potentially kill her as she's dying in order to create a high-stakes gamble.

I'm torn between whether the outcome should be Sakura being the Blackened meaning that Celeste lives and has to endure unwanted character development, or Celeste being the Blackened so that she gets executed. Because on the one hand, I love Celeste and would be all for her surviving and developing, plus it keeps the strong sacrificial nature of Sakura's death in tact. But on the other hand, LOL firetruck go vrrroooom; it's such a good execution.

I guess I lean toward the former due to DR2. Oh, and the Ultimate Imposter in DR2 would have to be disguised as Taka instead, which honestly would make the truth more difficult to guess, since taking charge and bearing the duty of protecting others makes sense for Taka whereas it always felt off for Byakuya and thus a big hint that this was really an imposter.

Somebody, make this rewrite happen!
