On the one hand, I probably shouldn’t have summoned on this banner when the Gala Laxi banner was so recent, and we’re probably gonna get Gala Thor in like two weeks, and then Gala Zena next month.

But on the OTHER hand, Summer Curran exists and I’m gay, so really it’s impossible to say whether or not this was a bad idea.

Anyway, let’s see what I got with my stash of 350 summons :)

In terms of dupes, I got:

-Lily

-Radiant Xuan Zang

-Summer Cleo

-Gala Euden x2

-Zephyr x2 [now I have a MUB copy and a separate 0UB copy]

-Corsaint Phoenix [now I have her at 2UB]

-Tie Shan Gongzhu [now I have a MUB copy and a separate 1UB copy]

And then in terms of new stuff, I got:

-Rena [Sadly she’s not particularly relevant anymore but it’s nice to have her for my collection]

-Akasha [lmao, the crazy wine aunt decided to crash my summons because she wasn’t invited to the new event. I see how it is]

-Summer Sinoa [I honestly didn’t expect to get her so soon after she came out, lol. I felt kinda bad about not getting her from the last banner, so I guess this makes up for it]

-Summer Curran [!!!!!!!!!!! All it took was like 280 summons, lmao. I was getting pretty scared there once I hit the point of only having about a hundred summons left, but thankfully I ended up getting him]

-Azazel [I’m glad I finally got him, since I’ve wanted him since he came out, and I had to resist the urge to summon on the dragon banner he was featured in a while ago]

-Kamuy [He’s not exactly good or anything but I guess it’s nice to get anything new]

I didn’t manage to get Summer Cassandra, but I only had like 70 summons left after getting Summer Curran so I’m just gonna quit while I’m ahead, lol. I really like the whole idea of Summer Cassandra’s kit, but I already have Halloween Lowen, so she’s not a must-have, and I think H-Lowen’s always going to be accepted for stuff like Volk. At the very least there’s always the next dream summon to consider, but it’s more likely that I’d use that to get Summer Mikoto instead.

From what I’ve seen of him, I feel a little disappointed by Summer Curran’s kit, but I think he’ll require some experimentation to get an informed opinion on, and he might be really good against Tartarus depending on how that fight’s designed. His main flaw seems to be that his SP costs are pretty high, and he’s reliant on staying at relatively high HP, but other than that his damage mods and whatnot seem good. But since his attacks are kinda weird AoE type attacks, it’s possible that he might not be great against single-target boss fights.

In a lot of ways I think this was probably a bit of a bait banner, but it’s not like I was ever going to resist the temptation of a Curran alt, so here we are. And honestly, considering that I managed to get him along with three other new 5-star adventurers, including one who I really wanted, I think I got enough out of the banner as a whole to justify it. And I still have like 70 summons left over.

I guess now I’m gonna save for Gala Thor, who’s probably gonna be a light dragon, which would be really tempting since I don’t have many good light dragons. Hopefully I’ll have enough summons to get at least one copy of him when he comes out. I have two sunlight stones in my inventory, and enough ores to probably craft two or three more, so as long as I get one copy of him I could fully unbind him.

After that, the chapter 15 trailer makes it seem pretty obvious that we’re getting Gala Zena for the 2nd anniversary, but I don’t really think she interests me enough to save for her. Especially since we’ll probably get daily tenfold summons during her banner. Though we might also get another gala remix in the middle of September, which might bring back one of the gala units I’m missing, so that might be very tempting.

Anyway, in other gacha news, I’m probably going to be doing my first spark in GBF in a day or two when their next gala banner starts, so I’m also pretty excited about that.

i did it!! it was kinda awful

high jupiter (31k) made me use a revive because no one would dodge like. they would stand in the purple like “this is fine.” gleo literally ran towards the ground lightning

have i mentioned before how much i hate high zodiark? cause it’s a lot. my team is 29k and they revived twice and then only two were still alive at the end. they. don’t. dodge.

but i beat everyone!

i’ll put team comps under the cut.

my flame team was hlowen, ezelith, marth, and xania (everyone is mubbed with mubbed 5* dragons [agni, arctos, cerberus, and konohana sakuya, respectively], max augments, and at least chimeratech weapons)

wind team was noelle, sylas, welly, and victor (welly and sylas are 1 node away from being mubbed, noelle and victor are mubbed, everyone but sylas has mubbed 5* dragons [freyja, pazuzu, zephyr, and vayu, respectively], victor and welly have max augments, welly has the only on-element chimeratech)

water team was pipple, fjorm, tiki, and jiang ziya (pipple and tiki are mubbed, jz’s three nodes away and fjorm is,,,,,, sixteen. everyone has mubbed 5* dragons [leviathan, siren, christmas!jeanne d’arc, and simurgh, respectively], only fjorm has max augments; pipple has an off-element (duh) agito weapon, tiki has a high dragon weapon, and fjorm and jz have off-element chimeratechs)

shadow was gleo, galex, grace, and delphi (everyone’s mubbed with mubbed 5* dragons [shinobi, marishiten, ebisu, and epimetheus, respectively], everyone but grace has max augments, and everyone but grace has agito weapons (she has a chimeratech))

light was chitose, wu kong(for the event, planning to replace him with zhu bajie after), peony, and gluca (everyone’s mubbed with mubbed 5* dragons [cupid, corsaint phoenix, gilgamesh, and daikokuten, respectively], only gluca has maxxed augments; chitose has an off-element chimeratech, wu kong and peony have off-element agitos, and gluca has a high dragon weapon)

Blog update December 2020

I changed the theme. I have yet to get time to make sure the text is all visible but the main purpose is so that now under taglist you can find each dragon and the minis they appear in. I separated them by elements and sorted by alphabetical except for the sibling dragons which will be at the top.

Fiend guests other than Chronos and Morsayati are categorized together. Human guests are not tagged. There may be dragons that have yet to appear in a translated mini and i left their tag in (corsaint phoenix, stribog etc)
