FASHION CREDITS: LADY GAGA AT COACHELLA WEEKEND I
Eight years after she first made history at Coachella, Lady Gaga reclaimed her throne in 2025 with a headlining performance that was nothing short of operatic chaos.
Choreography by Parris Goebel, styling by HARDSTYLE, hair by Frederic Aspiras and glam by Sarah Tanno-Stewart.

Her dark pop spectacle opened with a haunting visual interlude titled “The Manifesto of Mayhem”—a cinematic overture that reintroduced the world to Mistress Mayhem, Gaga’s latest alter ego.
Bathed in crimson light and surrounded by shadows, Gaga emerged on the screens in a rare archival piece: a bondage-inspired black leather straitjacket from Dolce & Gabbana’s Spring/Summer 2003 collection. The jacket, adorned with a grid of heavy buckles and silver hardware, set the tone for the night—iconoclastic, provocative, and entirely in control.
The incredible black mesh boater hat with rubber barbed wire around was created for our girl by milliner Lara Jensen who‘s been working with Gaga for over a decade!

Her angelic counterpart donned the Garden Fairy mesh corset top made from recycled vintage fabrics ($925 - sold out) from Central Saint Martins graduate Gyouree Kim‘s Spring/Summer 2025 "Cherubim" collection.
If the "Manifesto of Mayhem" set the tone, then what followed was pure operatic excess. Gaga made her true entrance atop a towering crimson structure draped in velvet folds—her silhouette like a deity descending upon her disciples.

The look? A custom creation by avant-garde visionaries Samuel Lewis, Athena Lawton and William Ramseur—a pleated, studded spiked masterwork of red velvet drama. Drawing inspiration from Edwardian silhouettes and Mugler’s villainous couture—particularly his take on "Lady Macbeth"—the jacket was armored in silver pyramidal studs, its spine and shoulders flaring like a queen prepared for battle.
Beneath the sweeping opera curtain–inspired skirt—engineered by the theatrical masterminds at Jet Sets —hid an elaborate cage several feet tall, housing Gaga’s dancers like a twisted chorus of shadows. The garment was both fortress and stage, its hem draping downward like blood-soaked drapery from an abandoned palace.
Topped with bone-like protrusions with crystal embellishments at the collar and sleeves, Gaga became something between a saint and a specter. Her performance from this fortress-skirted throne was a visual aria: high camp meets high art, rooted in madness, resurrection, and pure spectacle.

The opera singers beside her were dressed in huge wavy constructed yellow and black skirts with beaded velvet tops, custom-made by Candice Cuoco.

In one swift motion, she shed the heavy opera curtain—only to unveil a sensual, custom-made Samuel Lewis and Seth Pratt creation beneath. The ruby-red satin dress featured a sharp bodice with architectural puff shoulders and a plunging open front that gave way to the black lining. A crystal-embellished sash draped diagonally across her chest.
For the most intimate and arresting act of her set, Gaga appeared in a teddy—part lingerie fantasy, part gothic confessional, custom-made by the same duo. Crafted in rich black satin, the piece featured a sculpted bustier, delicate lace trim, and a shimmering crystal-embellished cross that ran from neckline to hem, catching the light like a whispered scandal.
Gaga strutted across the stage in the surprisingly affordable Leza over-the-knee boots by Steve Madden—retailing for just $89.99. Yes, you read that right.
"OFF WITH HER HEAD!"
Three of the characters are wearing these impeccable black veiled headpieces and dresses which were created by Nasir Mazhar in 2021, originally for balletLORENT.
Gaga's string orchestra wore draped black taffeta gowns made by AGRO STUDIO with custom headpieces all created by Lara Jensen.

As the lights dimmed and the stage transformed into a sepia-toned wasteland, re-emerged not as a pop powerhouse, but as a ghostly relic of beauty undone. Lying among skeletal remains and grains of dust, she conjured a scene straight from a tragic gothic fable.
For this act, titled “And She Fell Into A Gothic Dream,” Gaga wore a custom Dilara Findikoglu corset mini dress—a distressed, doll-like creation that whispered of innocence lost and romance decomposed. The off-white, almost bone-colored garment featured delicately frayed edges, an asymmetric hem, and panels of antique lace that seemed stitched together by time itself. Every rip and raw edge told a story of longing, survival, and sorrow.
The dancers wore skeleton masks made specially by Sarah Sitkin!
Gaga stepped back into one of her most iconic songs—"Paparazzi"—but this time, she didn’t just revisit it. She rearmed it.
As the familiar opening notes rang through the desert sky, Gaga reappeared in a custom Manuel Albarran armor bolero and matching helmet—a direct visual homage to the Mugler look she wore in the original "Paparazzi" music video.

For the high-octane performance featuring Gesaffelstein, Gaga slipped into a custom Marni catsuit, based on the house’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. The original red suit—featuring beaded embroidery of a black wolf—was reimagined for Gaga as a skin-tight, asymmetrical bodysuit, fused with nude illusion mesh and stitched with jet-black sequins that glinted like sharpened claws.
To elevate the glam rock look even further, Gaga threw on a custom coat made entirely of hand-cut blue and black paper feathers, inspired by the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection.
A true blast from the past are her Savannah vinyl corset boots from Penthouse.
Her female background dances all wore custom costumes by Courtney McWilliams paired with the Miista Imogen black lace-up sneaker boots!

As the opening of "Zombieboy" echoed, Gaga returned to the stage, wearing a striking custom look designed by Samuel Lewis and William Ramseur: a military-inspired royal blue satin bustle coat, tailored to perfection and cut with razor-sharp precision. The garment featured exaggerated puffed shoulders, a nipped waist, and a flared skirt with an almost theatrical silhouette, marrying 18th-century regency with gothic fantasy. The pièce de résistance? The coat’s intricate gold embroidery, stitched by the artisans of Altesa Embroidery, which shimmered like bone filigree under the stage lights—mirroring a skeletal ribcage and spine that gave the look both regality and decay.
But Gaga didn’t stop there. To crown the ensemble, she donned a custom Marni paper feather helmet, styled like a twisted jester’s crown with raven-black plumage erupting from her temples.
The studded harness belt, she wore during "Zombieboy", was custom-made by Jonathan Burdine in collaboration with Iggy Soliven.

For "Shadow of a Man", Gaga emerged cloaked in mystery and command, donning a custom Louis Verdad x Samuel Lewis creation that was equal parts military regalia and avant-garde sculpture.
The charcoal grey structured jacket, tailored to her frame like armor, featured razor-sharp lines and a high, asymmetrical collar that framed her silhouette like a shadow in motion. Bold black patent leather straps slashed across her shoulders and waist, adding a sense of futuristic restraint to the otherwise regal tailoring.
Underneath, she wore black stretch vinyl shorts by Los Angeles Apparel.

For the final look of the night, Gaga delivered a breathtaking visual transformation in a total couture creation by Matières Fécales (formerly known as Fecal Matter), a brand famed for its futuristic, grotesque, and avant-garde sensibilities.
The custom ensemble was a full conceptual look, comprised of a satin-stitched bodysuit featuring a haunting red anatomical cross motif—meant to evoke the feeling of surgical stitches, resurrection, and rebirth (and a nod to the "Abracadabra" music video!). The bodysuit alone was a spectacle, but Gaga layered it with even more drama: a translucent organza coat (cropped specifically for her performance), and an exaggerated feathered bustle skirt constructed from delicate white plumes that moved with every beat, adding an ethereal weightlessness to the performance.
The silhouette was further intensified with a sculptural feather collar piece—a headpiece of long, otherworldly white feathers shooting upward like wings, perfectly framing her head and extending the theatrical effect, created by Paul Battenberg-Cartwright.
On her hands, Gaga wore elongated gauze gloves created by artist Yaz XL, designed to resemble haunting, claw-like monster hands. The exaggerated fingers extended dramatically into crystal-embellished tips, catching the stage lights with every movement and adding an eerie elegance to her already ethereal silhouette.
To complete the look, she grounded the ensemble with custom white lace-up ankle boots by Chrome Hearts.
The dancers were all dressed in custom Luis de Javier white lace looks and Balenciaga Cagole white boots! The nurses, that wheeled Gaga in, wore custom ILONA red gowns and hats.

protecting your space
hi all! i just moved and was cleansing my new home; prepping it to be lived in and all that. i got to thinking about what other people do for themselves and, well, that's where this came from! the order of step one and two is unimportant, plus keep in mind that everyone does things differently. every culture has their own idea about how to cleanse a space/person, and none of them are wrong.
STEP ONE: CLEANSING
Immediate Disclaimer: Anyone/anyplace that uses the term "smudging" (using it out of it's cultural context) is a source you should be wary of. Smudging is a set of very specific rituals that were created and are used by indigenous americans. The use of sage, palo santo, sweet grass, hawk feathers, evil eyes/hamsa are all practices specific to certain cultures. If you're just someone not of those cultures trying to cleanse your space, I recommend the following techniques.
-Burning lavender, rosemary, or cedar bundles
-Burning incense
-Burning frankincense/myrrh
-Putting salt at the boundaries of your home, inside or out
-Putting ground eggshells at the boundaries of your home, probably best to do this outside for the smell
-Actually cleaning your home
-Sprinkle essential oils on the corners of a room or in doorways
-Selenite is also a great cleansing stone, although I usually use it for individual items instead of a whole space
-Moon water can also be a good replacement for essential oils
-Ring sacred (to you) or enchanted bells throughout the home
STEP TWO: WARDING
This is a step that varies a lot more from person to person. There are certainly plenty of spells out there available to you, but some people have created their own spells, others will use certain iconography, herbs, etc. Either way, know that it is not necessary for you to do every one of these things--I honestly doubt a space will get any more or less safe depending on how many of these you do. Also, for your own safety, make sure you're doing the appropriate non-witchy things to keep yourself safe. Just because you have a nice sigil above your unlocked door doesn't mean that someone will be automatically unable to rob you. Anways, here are just some of my ideas.
-Put a bundle of rosemary above a doorway
-Create a spell jar/bag with any of these materials or these, I also recommend including some of yourself in a jar like this
-Sprinkle black salt around entryways
-Use a spell like this or this
-Draw a rune (i use algiz) on entryways (i use essential oils and blood for this, but to each their own)
-Draw a sigil like this or these on entryways
-Pray to a certain deity for protection, or put their iconography up (for example, an ansuz rune for odin)
-Burning incense and using essential oils will ward away negativity, but they don't last for long periods of time in my experience
-Make use of a crystal grid to manifest your intentions
-Salt and eggshells also help to ward off negativity entering your space!
STEP THREE: UPKEEP
Now, how do we keep the wards and cleansing sustained? Well, there are a variety of methods. A lot of these can be done as your intuition tells you they need to be renewed, or done at a regular interval that works for you. Still, upkeep is important!
-Redo the spell you did every full moon or at another important time for you
-Refresh herbs and salt/eggshells when they get old or fall apart
-Break open your spell jar/sachet and recleanse the ingredients or just add new ones
-Clean up any salt/black salt/eggshells and put down new lines
-Add more essential oil/moon water to the locations you put them in before
-Redraw sigils/runes when they fade or get scratched off
-Pray to the deity who is looking out for you often/do devotional activities
-Burn more incense, herbs, or frankincense/myrrh, or cleanse with bells again
-Clean your room/house/depression hovel

Crystals for Dream Work & Psychic Sleep
Because the spirit realm never sleeps — but you should.
If you’ve ever wanted to lucid dream, receive messages in your sleep, or just rest with deeper clarity… crystals can help open that dream door. Here are some of my favorites for dreamy nights and magical insight:

Vibe: Calming, protective, crown chakra opener
How I use it: Tucked under my pillow or held during meditation before bed
What it helps with: Deep sleep, dream recall, and blocking nightmares
Feels like: Being wrapped in gentle purple fog while your soul wanders safely
⸻
2. Labradorite
Vibe: Mystical, intuitive, interdimensional
How I use it: On my nightstand with a few drops of mugwort oil
What it helps with: Astral travel, spirit messages, psychic downloads
Feels like: A portal in a stone. Dreaming in symbols and signs.
⸻
3. Lepidolite
Vibe: Soft, tranquil, healing
How I use it: In a pouch with lavender and slipped into my pillowcase
What it helps with: Anxiety at night, overthinking, emotionally healing dreams
Feels like: Being sung to sleep by a crystal lullaby
⸻
4. Moonstone
Vibe: Feminine, fluid, lunar
How I use it: In a dream water bowl or worn as a ring while sleeping
What it helps with: Connecting with moon energy, emotional dream cycles
Feels like: Dreaming by the ocean on a full moon
⸻
5. Herkimer Diamond
Vibe: Amplifying, clearing, spiritually sharp
How I use it: Placed beside another dream crystal to amplify it
What it helps with: Lucid dreaming, dream recall, clarity in visions
Feels like: A flashlight cutting through dream-fog
⸻
Bonus Ritual:
Create a “Dream Grid” by placing a few of these crystals in a circle under your bed or near your head. Add a dream journal nearby and some mugwort or blue lotus tea for extra dream-enhancing energy.
⸻
Dreaming is divination.
Sleep is sacred.
& your soul knows exactly where to go.

Here’s a part 2 of Guardian headcanons I’ve conjured up:
- As time passes, Ghost names have become more obscure and strange. It started out with cuter names like “Sparky” or “Lucy”, or even just simply “Ghost”. Now, it’s common to see names like “Windshield”, “Lord Foog”, or “Media”.
(Side note for the point above: I took inspo from pet finder names lmfaoo)
- Some Guardians have physical disabilities that have carried over from their past lives (blindness, deafness, missing limbs, unable to walk after a certain period, etc). Their Ghosts try their best to make life easy for them, but most of these Guardians are able to use their Light as an aid; imagine a Titan with a badass Stasis fist, or a Warlock with glasses and hearing aids made from Void light that further enhance their hearing and vision.
- There’s a group of Hunters who build treehouses for kids in the City, since they’re able to climb into trees and such.
- Rock and metal is the most popular genre of music among Guardians
- This is already kind of implied based on concept art and lore, but Guardians owning exotic pets and making meme accounts with them
- Assuming 2014 is the year that the Traveler was found, that means Hatsune Miku technically exists in the Destiny universe up until that point. Meaning that Crucible compilations with Vocaloid music also technically exist.
- Awoken Guardians tend to hobbies such as divination, creating crystal grids, and astrology, or find themselves believing in spiritual phenomena to a degree; Returning to their roots in a way.
- Guardians unironically calling their respective Vanguards mom and dad. Imagine Crow’s surprise when he heard one of his hunters calling him dad for the first time after being inducted as Hunter Vanguard.

i want to go treasure hunting with maps n traps. any recs?
THEME: Maps, Traps & Treasure.
Hello friend, you seem to be in the market for a dungeon game. I have good news for you: there are many dungeon games!
For most OSR games, the book might come with some rules on how to make your own dungeon, rather than coming with pre-written maps. If you don’t want to create your own dungeon, there are oodles of pre-written dungeons that should be pretty easily convertible for whatever OSR game you choose to play. I’ll list a few below!
Dungeoneering, by Grinning Rat.
DUNGEONEERING is a quick-and-dirty tabletop role-playing game where players explore dungeons, gather treasure, and fight monsters. Game Masters are encouraged to use the sample dungeon within, or generate their own with the creation tools, to facilitate these dangerous delves.
Dungeoneering feels like a quick one-shot type experience about gathering as much loot as you can inside a dungeon run. The amount of treasure you gather is also a measure of how well you did - a “score”, if you will. The game states that it is best built for exactly 4 players, each with a different character class and skill-set. For the dungeon master, the game has instructions on how to build a dungeon, complete with roll-tables for dungeon types and layout. You’ll probably do well enough with a grid map and some markers, although the creators of the game have a few supplements available: Catalysts, which expands character options and Wanderers which not only provide two new roles, but also gives you more dungeon options and loot.
Errant, by Kill Jester.
You have no home. You have no job. You have no friends. You have no family. You have no prospects.
What you do have are a handful of pennies, a blithe disregard for your own life, and a particular set of skills. The kind of skills that make respectable folks avoid you.
Out there, beyond civilization, lies danger: monsters and magic and ancient ruins pregnant with treasure. Death is likely, but what did you have to live for anyway? At least out there is the chance to make something of yourself, and maybe even get back at those who wronged you. This is no life for decent folk, but you’re not decent folk. You are an Errant.
What is Errant? Errant is a classic fantasy role-playing game in the vein of the first few editions of that role-playing game and its many imitators and descendants such as Knave, Into the Odd, and The Black Hack. It is freely compatible with material for all those games as well as the newest edition of that role-playing game, with conversion guides provided within.
With over 200 pages of rules, Errant provides detailed instructions for all kinds of things that could happen in play: travel, magic retainers, exploration, combat, and more. The players will create a map as they play, filling it in according to what they understand - and importantly, not necessarily accurately. The GM’s map may have many more secrets or truths that the characters will likely have to work to discover.
Errant happens over the course of different kinds of turns, which have a different procedure depending on what is happening in the game. There is a process for Exploration, for Combat, and for Downtime, which might provide you with the structure to move from one part of the story to the next… but it also might be a bit slower than the kind of game you’re looking for.
If you want content for Errant, it’s certainly out there! Kill Jester has an adventure called Tomb Robbers of the Crystal Frontier, as well as a module called The Curse of the Ganshogger, to get you started.
Crowns, by Ward Against Evil.
Humanity hides in sheltered villages. Monsters prowl the wilderness. You are the few foolish enough to leave safety. Find your fortunes in the dungeon. And try not to die.
Crowns is a simple enough dungeon system with advancement tied to the amount of gold you acquire - so I think it meets the treasure requirement for sure! There are very specific rules for line of sight, doors, lighting, and creating your own openings in the cracks and nooks of the dungeon, which can help make the dungeon feel alive and exciting - although definitely not safe.
As is typical in the OSR style, you won’t find a fully fleshed out dungeon in the rules, although you will find rules on how to make your own. If you want some extra bits to play with, Crowns does have some interesting supplements, such as Season of Crows, a war-based expansion event, and Armies of Man, a bestiary that looks like it works rather well with Season of Crows.
Crawlr: Basic, by BLK Feather Press.
From the Black Sludge seeping from the lip of the Primordial Cauldron crawls the descendants of dead men. YOU are born from that sludge, and when you die, you shall return to the sludge.
CRAWLR is a table-top role-playing game where you and your friends take on the role of adventurers, cutthroats, profiteers, and even heroes all in the collective imagination of your minds. All you need is pen, paper, and 2d6.
Crawlr: Basic is rather lightweight, but it has rules for changing the dungeon as you go, and a neat little mechanic for timing how long a torch lasts, which might heighten the danger of the dungeon. It also has a table for creatures’ reactions upon stumbling upon you, and a d66 table for useful items that you might pick up. When it comes to traps, I think you might have to get ideas from other modules, but the creator looks like they might be releasing an “Advanced” version in the future.
You can also get blank monster cards and character sheets for free!
.dungeon remastered, by snow.
Welcome to the ruins of Annwn. The once populated hills of this massively multiplayer online game are now void. They call it a Dead MMO. A polygonal mess of PS1-era graphics, empty plains, and dungeons that grow and grow and grow from the inside of the planet's wounds. Up above, the eye of the sad god glares its chromatic light down upon the remaining players, while its tormented hand contorts into magical shapes, rarely crossing paths in their messy orbit. When they do, the shadow magic that powers the game explodes with its ancient might.
In .dungeon, you play through character creation as if it was a game of its own, with each step formatted like the room of a dungeon. You generate the world using dice rolls, while the game itself is played using a hex map. You can run an adventure like a hex crawl, which generates interesting encounters and scenery every time your characters move to a new hex. You can use elements from the book to generate a hex crawl, but it looks like there’s also a “tutorial” level that your characters will encounter directly after character creation.
.dungeon is also fantasy-ish: it takes place in a video game, so your adventurers are likely to run into a few places or things that have something a bit more sci-fi in nature. I think that overall, the layout of this book makes the game easier for the group to learn how to all play at the same time, which might be good for a GM who wants to spread the responsibility of game knowledge a bit more evenly. I’m not entirely sure how a hex-crawl would map onto a dungeon, but I think that a lot of the vibes carry across.
Slash Hex, by Danielaurence
Slash Hex is an adventure role-playing game in which players will use their creativity and imaginations to explore a wild and dangerous world, hunting for treasure, defeating monsters, and engaging in other mostly heroic exploits.
This game is heavily inspired by giants that have come before, most notably in name by the /X side of the original B/X books, but also Basic Fantasy, Knave, White Box, and The Black Hack.
While it is inspired by the aforementioned games, Slash Hex has morphed into something that has a footprint of its own, while still remaining largely compatible with classic modules.
What I think Slash/Hex has going for it is the list of fantasy monsters - typical monsters, but there’s a lot of them - as well as the well-detailed list of magic items that you can pick up and use while exploring a dungeon. Most of the focus of this game is on character abilities, so if you want a more unique character, you might like this game. The downside is that the game as it is has little to no advice on how to create a dungeon; I’m thinking that perhaps the creator is relying on you to find other established dungeon modules and use their rules to run through those.
Dungeon Crawl Classics, by Goodman Games.
You’re no hero. You’re an adventurer: a reaver, a cutpurse, a heathen-slayer, a tight-lipped warlock guarding long-dead secrets. You seek gold and glory, winning it with sword and spell, caked in the blood and filth of the weak, the dark, the demons, and the vanquished. There are treasures to be won deep underneath, and you shall have them.
Return to the glory days of fantasy with the Dungeon Crawl Classics Role-Playing Game. Adventure as 1974 intended, with modern rules grounded in the origins of sword & sorcery. Fast play, cryptic secrets, and a mysterious past await you: turn the page…
DCC RPG is a fast-paced, open-feeling rules set allowing for epic game experiences without unnecessary tethers. It uses modern game-play while paying homage to the origins of role-playing and the fun that it inspired.
Dungeon Crawl Classics is one of the largest, most popular OSR titles, with more than just fantasy up its sleeve. You can find the same rule-set in its sister products, such as Mutant Crawl Classics (post-apocalyptic), or X Crawl Classics (dystopian fantasy). There’s also oodles of content built for this rule-set, which will give you a story or adventure ready to run right out of the box. This is traditional dungeon-crawling, complete with treasure as a reward, and plenty of puzzles and traps to work through.
You can get the free Quickstart rules here, and I’ve heard that the fanbase and creative community is also very supportive!
Some dungeon modules to consider include:
White Scales, by 1pagedungeons, which introduces a low-level dragon.
The Valley of Flowers, by Phantom Mill, which was Ennie-nominated this year!
Trouble in the Gladden Brook Reservoir, by AoSmiles, a short tri-fold adventure about a body of water that refines crude magic.
Candleberry Jam by GLASS/CUTTER, a murder mystery on a sleepy island!
Other Notes….
You might also like Cairn, by Yochai Gal, which has a 1st and a 2nd edition, both of which are free. There are many many supplements for this game, and it often matches well with Into the Odd adventures as well.
I’ve also talked about Sojourn in the past, as a dungeon-crawling game with some solid high-ranking reviews.
You can also give me a tip by donating to my Ko-fi!

Everything You Need to Know About Crystals: Tiger's Eye
Tiger's Eye (The Stone of the Sun)

Color: Golden Yellow with Brown
Hardiness: 7
Rarity: Easy to Obtain
Type: Metamorphic
Chakra Association: Sacral, Solar-Plexus, Third Eye
Deities: Ra, Sekhmet, Durga
Astrological Signs: Capricorn, Leo
Element: Earth, Fire
Planet: Sun
Origin: India, Myanmar, South Africa, USA, Mexico
Powers: The Sun, Protection, Abundance, Luck, Pride, and Justice
Crystals It Works Well With: Cat’s Eye, Chalcedony, Topaz
How It is Created: Tiger’s Eye is basically a quartz but they formed in such an unusual way that the fibers of the mineral called crocidolite are laid down in parallel bands within the structure. This creates its silk like appearance and its “cat’s eye”.
History: Tombs in the ancient city of Ur in Mesopotamia (now Iraq) dating back to 2500 BCE have yielded gold sets with agates, like tiger’s eye and carnelian. The tiger’s eye was very popular due to the belief that it harnessed the power of the earth and the sun. This is why it is associated with the god of the sun, Ra and why Egyptians considered it a very valuable gem. Roman soldiers believed that the tiger’s eye was a symbol of bravery and would ride with pieces of tiger’s eye on them in order to encourage bravery during battles.
What It Can Do:
Shields the energy field or aura from negativity
Clears tension and mental blocks from the solar plexus
Can soothe, calm, and restore one’s body and mind
Banish the evil eye and curses
Attracts money while curbing impulsive spending
Used to detect liars and deceptions
Can increase confidence and pride
Placing it on your third eye can help enhance psychic abilities and balance your lower chakras
Helps unlock and unleash your true desires
Alleviates depression and lifts moods
Reduces crabbing and addictive behavior
How To Get the Best Out of Tiger’s Eye: Wear it in bracelet or amulet form.
How to Cleanse and Charge:
To cleanse: Lay it on a windowsill where the sun shines the most or bury it in your garden where the sun shines the most
To charge: You can also charge it on the windowsill with the sun. The sun really gives it a great charge, especially if one of the deities you work with is a sun god.
Crystal Grid:
Abundance (Spiral)
Base for the grid, such as wood, slate, fossilized wood, or golden card or cloth
Citrine
Goldstone
Green Aventurine
Herkimer Diamond
Jade
Moss Agate
Ruby
Tiger’s Eye
Topaz
If you’re laying a preparatory “cleansing” spiral, start at the topmost point and lay crystals alternately, with the points pointing out from the center.
Place the Goldstone in the center as the keystone.
If laying an abundance grid, begin by placing the Goldstone in the center, stating that your intention is for it to bring abundance into your life.
Lay a spiral of alternated crystals, pointing down and inward, until you reach the Goldstone.
Add a grounding stone if appropriate.
When the grid is no longer required, dismantle it.

With these ±50 items you can create countless (or around 120.960) of 2014 Tumblr Soft Grunge outfits!
Tops:
- Simple black and white tops in different shapes, like the American Apparel ones pictured. A simple black and white t-shirt is also always good to have.
- Tops with a design. Especially horizontal black and white stripes and grids are a need!
- Band merch! Arctic Monkeys is the most popular one, but e.g. The 1975, The Neighbourhood and Nirvana are also good!
- The alien shirt! I think everyone remembers this one, the OG is from Brandy Melville, but there are a lot of remakes.
- A top with a Japanese word, I found these on Pinterest, but you can find a word that you like :)
- Flannels. Go for a dark colour like grey, green or red. Wear it as usual or around the waist.
- A jean jacket, usually a little baggy. Vintage Levi's are a good option, but any brand works.
Sets:
- Another popular outfit is the Lulu set from American Apparel, this one was available in several designs, but for the soft grunge look we're looking for the black and white versions. Like the ones pictured.
Bottoms:
- Pleated tennis skirts! Specifically from American Apparel, the black and white ones are a must! One with a plaid print is also good to have, especially when the rest of the outfit is a bit plain and you want that little extra.
- Jean shorts, preferably a bit baggy. Washed out denim, grey tints and black are great options.
- Jeans! I'll make a separate list here.
Jeans:
- 2 pairs of blue denim baggy jeans (preferably a bit of a lighter shade). 1 ripped and 1 not.
- 2 pairs of black baggy jeans. Again, 1 ripped and 1 not.
- 1 pair of black skinny jeans.
Shoes:
Shoes are usually black, but white is also seen.
- Chunky heels, like the ones from UNIF.
- Platform sneakers, Buffalo is a good brand for that.
- A pair of black Dr. Martens. High ones are the most versatile in my opinion, but the low ones are cute too.
- Black High Top Converse All-Stars are a must. Checkered ones are nice as well.
- And so are the classic Checkered Vans slip ons.
- Nike Air Force 1, in black and/or white.
- Black creepers.
Accessoires:
- Fishnet tights! You can get them in different sizes :) you can also get fishnet socks
- Kneehigh socks! Get 4 different ones so you have a bit of versatility. 2 plain in black and white, 2 with stripes, so black with white stripes (like the one pictured) and white with black stripes.
- Chokers! There are many different designs but the tattoo choker is iconic! A plain black one is the other most important one. If you got those two you're free to get any choker you like! Not before that tho >:)
- Crystal necklaces, you know? THOSE ones :) in silver obvi
- A beanie for the winter. A black one with white stars or text maybe? It's up to you :)
- Black and white tote bags, specifically The American Apparel cities bag and the one with 'This Bag Contains [some illegal stuff]
This all together can be very expensive, but you probably already have some things in your closet! I suggest going to thrift stores :) also, ofc you don't have to buy these brands, you can look for cheaper look a likes :)
I hope this helped you so that you can dress like THAT Tumblr girl!

Very happy birthdays to you and Melesta! Wishing you both health and joy and freedom.
Would love a little scene between Finduilas and Turgon, in Valinor, "after." If you feel so moved.
🧡
Turgon and Finduilas, reembodied. Rated G, 1100 words. By @polutrope and @melestasflight. On AO3.
“Sorontië, Numentië, Asartië,” Turgon mutters to himself, looking from street corner to street corner, placing names upon the grid of Tirion. Strange that he, who built a city in its image, now finds the grandeur and pulse of Tirion too much to bear. Perhaps it is only the freshness of his renewed body, but everything is so dazzling here, too clean, and the reflected light off all the marble and painted glass hurts his eyes.
As his gaze travels between stalls, carriages, and ornate facades, they land upon one nearby who had until now escaped his notice for how still they stood amidst the city’s perpetual movement.
“Findaráto?” he says, half to himself, because he knows that hair, that peculiar shade of gold as if a bloom of Laurelin has just burst open. But no, he has seen Finrod since he returned — this figure is slight, delicate, as Finrod was in his youth. Not as he is now, in his second life, a warrior reborn as their people’s crown prince.
The body turns and the face that greets him is both alike to Finrod’s and distinctly not. A deep frown adorns her fair features. “How many more in this city will take me for my uncle?”
“I am sorry, lady,” Turgon says, nodding in greeting — and it is only when he lifts his chin and looks at her that her words fully settle in his mind. “Your… uncle?”
Her frown deepens and she looks as if she is ready to throw yet another accusation at him, but she is interrupted by a jewelry seller thrusting an elaborate hair ornament practically into her face.
“Would the lady Finduilas like to try this piece instead?” The seller is almost shouting in her excitement. “It is our latest, created by Lúletinwë.” When Finduilas does not react, the seller adds, sympathetically: “Tirion’s most famous designer of this century.”
Finduilas — Turgon knows the name. Could it be? Finduilas of Nargothrond, Orodreth’s daughter, Finrod’s most beloved niece? Finduilas now glares at the jewelry seller, the exasperation written upon her face.
Turgon cannot blame her. He looks from her face to the ornament: it is like a malformed octopus made of gems, lined with the most ostentatiously enormous, poorly cut, and ill-matched ruby and emerald crystals Turgon has ever seen.
“Return that hideous clump of rock to the bowels of the earth where it belongs!” Turgon blurts, physically recoiling. He shudders. “Better yet, cast it into the Void.”
The jewelry seller’s eyes widen in shock, her jaw dropping. Turgon winces; his mouth has run away with him, again. He considers apologizing, taking back the offense, when a thunder of laughter sounds at his side. Finduilas is roaring, doubled over, and then she grabs Turgon’s forearm to steady herself.
“Oh, that’s the best insult I have yet heard in this new life,” Finduilas says when she regains control of herself. “You, lord, curse as well as the very uncle you just mistook me for, when he loses his famed calm.” Then she turns to the seller, whose face has now hardened like baked clay: “We shall not be requiring your assistance further, lady. I thank you.”
Finduilas leads him away, sliding her hand into the bend of his elbow. Turgon glances over his shoulder for one last look at the jewel-seller: she still glares after them, and this prompts a laugh to leap from his throat.
“It is good to meet you, Finduilas,” he says. “I did not know you were…” It has not become easy, yet, knowing how to speak of having been dead.
“Yes, I am. Returned to life.” Finduilas smiles gently as she turns to him, her earlier frown replaced by mirth. “The pleasure is all mine and please excuse my impatience; I am yet new to this business of living again. May I know your name, also, oh saviour from the terrors of Tirion’s fashion?”
“Oh, yes, I am sorry, I–” Turgon feels the heat in his cheeks, knows that he is making a fool of himself. He feels a child, sometimes, who has to learn the simplest things all over, such as how to place words together… what to call himself. What does he call himself, to this child of Beleriand, reborn in Aman, who never knew him as anything but — what did she know him as? How did Finrod speak to her of him? What did she think of him, the distant King of the Noldor who stayed ensconced in his mountain valley while Nargothrond fell to ruin?
He settles for the name he carried for nigh five centuries. “I am Turgon." Finduilas’ brows arch: in surprise, joy, or fear, Turgon cannot tell, and he hastens to add: “But you may call me uncle, if you wish.”
Finduilas does not seem to share his doubts, the ruin of her fair city so far away that she barely remembers it. “The famed Turgon!” she cries heartily. “My uncle has barely spoken of anything else since your return. At last I meet you!” Then, Finduilas tosses herself into his embrace, arms tightening around his ribs. The top of her hair tickles Turgon’s cheek; she is of Idril’s height, almost to the inch. Turgon holds her against himself. It is the most at home he has felt since returning – strange as that may seem, embracing a kinswoman he never knew in his previous life. But there is something about Finduilas being both new and familiar that sets him at ease.
They pull apart, still smiling, and Turgon says: “If you are still looking for some adornment, I have just remembered a florist where my daughter – long ago – often went to pick out an assortment of exotic flowers brought up from the south. She would arrange them in a wreath herself.” Finduilas’ face brightens at what she hears and Turgon summons the courage to offer his help. “If you would like, I will take you there, for it is not easy to find.”
Passingly, he wonders if the shop is still there at all, but does not speak this thought aloud.
“Lead the way!” Finduilas agrees with a grin more golden than her fair tresses.
Turgon takes her hand, recalling the weight of his young daughter’s hand as he once led her through this crowded marketplace. He guides Finduilas from the bright bustle, towards the secluded, peaceful neighbourhood on the southern slope of Túna where he remembers a quaint little flower shop, down a narrow lane. As they walk in comfortable silence, warmth, as sweet as honeyed tea, fills his chest.
He has made his first friend in this new Tirion.
Birthday Prompts

cleansing & charging items ✨️
many of the methods used to cleanse items can also be used to charge them depending on your intentions.
cleansing & charging ideas:
visualization - imagine a ball of energy forming around the item to either cleanse it or give it power (the color of the ball could correspond to your intent, i.e. white or blue for cleansing, red for power, etc.)
earth - bury the object in soil or sand - a potted plant will also work
water - submerge the item in running water
salt water - anoint or submerge the item in a salt water solution
gem water - anoint or submerge the item in a corresponding crystal elixir
herbal & floral water - anoint or submerge the item in a solution of corresponding herbs or flowers
sea salt - sprinkle sea salt over/around the item or submerge it in a container of sea salt
essential & infused oils - anoint item with corresponding oil
smoke - pass the item through incense smoke
fire - pass the item through an open flame or burn it (you could see the act of burning as either cleansing or charging)
storms -leave item outside during a thunderstorm; anoint with storm water
wind -leave item outside when it’s windy; make use of windchimes
crystals/crystal grid - surround the item with crystals of corresponding intent (can be arranged in a pattern to form a crystal grid and enhance energy)
dried/fresh herbs & flowers - sprinkle mixture over/around item or submerge the item in a mixture of herbs and/or flower petals
sound - use a bell, whistle, or something similar to clear the space and associated items of negativity
sigils - craft and use sigils that correspond with your intent (you can set the item on top of the sigil, draw the sigil on the item, etc.)
moonlight & starlight - leave item in the path of these natural lights, either outside or in a windowsill overnight
sunlight - leave item in the path of sunlight for a few hours during the day (before sunset, of course), either outside or in a windowsill
divination - pair the item with a rune or tarot/oracle card that matches your intent in a small container
incantations - create an incantation that states your intent and speak it aloud while holding the item
physical energy - engage in physical activity of some sort (exercise, dancing, etc.) and direct that energy into the item
actual cleaning - physically and literally clean any items with an appropriate solution (soap, alcohol, etc.); the energy put into cleaning can also be used to charge the item
caution: some items, especially crystals, are not suitable for exposure to sunlight, water, or salt.

we meet again
(so @arliedraws created a slytherin!sirius universe in which james in an auror and sirius is a death eater (or is he??) and they have unfulfilled homoerotic urges for one another and i...came up with this idea, and it's been in my brain (and @impishtubist's SMS text messages for licherally months). It seemed that arlies most recent day of birth was an appropriate time to drop this. xoxo)
--
James's cheeks hurt from smiling so widely as two first-year aurors brought out a cake, lit with an abundance of candles that shot up into the air spelling out Happy Retirement Auror Potter! To complete the package, the cake was decorated as a tropical lagoon. Crystal blue waters, and yellow sprinkles on top to mimic a sunset. Sending James a final subliminal message to cash in his 30 years of unspent vacation time, aside from a few days here and there, and disappear into the tropics. Off the grid, off radar, off the cases. Officially.
Not that James was one who ever said I cannot wait to retire in passing--because he had loved every moment of his years in the aurors department. His first year in the training program, his first big raid, his promotion to Senior Auror, to Director of the Department and finally in his last year, the ultimate promotion of having the responsibility of training new aurors. He had put in the work, and he could leave the department and rest easy knowing everyone left behind would continue to do faithful and just work for the wizarding world. Including his son, Harry who, after years of telling James no I'm not coming into the department, I don't want to, I'm not following in your footsteps, shove off, Dad and trying a host of obscure occupations just to prove a point (most recently a shop clerk at Florean Flortescue) he finally confessed to James he had applied.
James tried to pretend he wasn't elated. Harry tried to pretend he wasn't equally as excited, both of them concealing smiles on Harry's first day in the department. Keeping it cool as the Potter Men were known to do.
"I can't believe you actually did it," Harry said, as cake was passed around, the retirement party in full swing. James was halfway through his slice, blue frosting magically enchanted to pool around the rim of his plate.
"Did you doubt it?"
"Yes," Harry stressed, alongside Moody and Sturgis Podmore, both chatting within earshot. Harry gave James a pointed look, as if to say see, it's not just me. "I thought you were going to delay it again just last week when you got all weepy about writing the report details for your last training class. 12 pages--"
"It's important to be thorough--"
"And that last one was damp, swear," Harry teased, and James shook his head cutting off another bite of cake.
"Oh, just you wait. You'll be crying at your desk too when the time comes," James told him, teeth tinted blue as he spoke, "and you'll look around and wonder where the time went and wish you could--"
Harry dropped his head to the side, closing his eyes and letting out a small snore, earning a loud laugh from Moody, before pretending to wake up, "Sorry? I must've fallen asleep while you were reminiscing."
"Reflecting," James corrected.
"Much more interested in our vacation--"
"Oh no, you're much too busy," James told him, letting out a low whistle, "I've seen that training curriculum and I don't think you'll have time for much of anything for the next few...years?" James shrugged, "Looks like I'll be seeing Santorini, and Turks and Caicos all by myself. Maybe I'll finally take your advice and," James paused to think for a moment, "What is it you've been telling me? Find--"
James sentence was cut off by the department doors opening, Kingsley Shacklebolt striding in, violet robes trailing behind him, jaw clenched and eyebrows close together. James couldn't help but laugh a little as Harry seemed to straighten up, putting his hands behind his back as the Minister of Magic made his way toward Moody and the other Senior Aurors in the room. James had known Kingsley for years--and by extension, Harry had known Kingsley for years, but everything seemed to shift when Kingsley went from Your Dads Friend with the Cool Tattoos and Earrings, to Minister of Magic and Effectively Your Boss. Harry cleared his throat and gave James a nod, before following the other younger aurors in looking extremely busy around the office. Suddenly papers were all too out of place, and there was much work to be done, when only moments before, they were playing a rousing game of napkin Quidditch.
"Sorry, Potter, this celebration may have to be cut short. Auror Bones just sent a patronus, and that burglary down at Diagon Alley might not be so simple after all," Shacklebolt said, dropping his voice lower, "The owner of the shop confessed to having some...untoward artifacts in the back, and you'll never guess what was taken."
"What kind of artifacts?" James asked.
"You're retired, Potter."
James looked at his watch, "I'm not retired for another two hours, now what kind of artifacts?"
"Reliquaries is how the owner described them. Heirlooms that have been passed down in his family for centuries...which means--"
"Layers of dark magic." Moody mumbled.
"That's not the important piece, I'm afraid," Kingsley continued, "The only reason the owner knew there had been a burglary was because the backdoor was left unlocked. I remember when I was a junior auror here...there was a series of home theft...shop theft...all of them with the back entry way left open and--"
"A note," James cut him off immediately, eyes wide as his heart pounded against his rib cage. He could feel a flush fall over his body, acid rising in his throat.
"Oh no," muttered Moody.
"What did the note say?" James asked again and Kingsley hesitated, sharing a glance with Moody.
"Potter, you're retiring, enjoy your--"
"What did the note say?" James asked again, this time loud enough to catch the attention of other members of the department.
"Finders keepers."
--
James's ears were ringing as he left the auror department, not even pausing after Kingsley had spoken the words on the note. Two single words, and suddenly James couldn't see straight. Couldn't think straight.
Finders keepers, finders keepers, finders keepers.
It didn't matter that James was set to retire in an hour and a half.
It didn't matter he had left a party in his honor. It also didn't matter that his lips were stained blue from cake, or that he had dinner plans with Harry after the party to celebrate, just the two of them. He threw open the door to his office, the walls now barren and the space void of any personal touches, and quickly went toward his filing cabinet.
This case, had been the only one James had be removed from. This case, had been the only one in thirty years that had just been marked closed with no real resolution. A series of home thefts over the course of three months, all seemingly connected, but they came up empty every time, eventually abandoning it. After three months, after James was removed from the case, not a single report.
Every time a burglary had been called in since, James read the file and poured over every detail, hoping for more information. For a reason to reopen the case. But none was ever found. James had the dates memorized. Pulling each report one by one, and opening them to the notes found at each scene.
Finders keepers.
He grabbed the files, shrinking them and shoving them into the pockets of his robes, wand in hand as he left his office once more, closing the door behind him. Moody, and Kingsley were already on their way down the hall, nearly chasing after James, urgency in their footsteps to stop him from doing something stupid.
"Potter!" Moody barked
"Evening, Alastor. I believe I have a party to be getting back to," James said simply, though sweat was dripping down his back, beading on the center of his forehead. He ran a hand through his greying hair, in a way he hoped was nonchalant and not in a way that looked dangerously suspicious.
"Potter, do I need to remind you, you were removed from this case and--"
"I'm retired, w-why in Merlins name would--don't be--no, I-I'm not, and there's no, it's a party! I'm having a great time, have a good night!" James gave them both a wave before resuming his brisk walk-run down the hallway, shoes squeaking on the tile floor, eager to get out of the department
He knew where to go.
He knew he shouldn't be going there.
But.
He had to.
There was a fireplace on the first floor of the Ministry of Magic for floo access. James approached the fireplace, thinking, briefly, that perhaps it was foolish to think that after all this time he might still have access--clearance-- to this location. He grasped a handful of floo powder anyway, closing his eyes as he stepped into the fireplace.
"NUMBER TWELVE GRIMMAULD PLACE!"
--
The sitting room looked exactly as James remembered it.
Sort of.
The curtains had been changed. They were a deep yellow now instead of grey like they were the last time James was here. The carpet had been removed, and James stepped out of the fireplace onto cool hardwood floors.
The pristine black leather couch, and the gaudy chandelier were the same though. So were the end tables, and the armchair in the corner with a hand-embroidered throw pillow. James had laughed at it then, because a crook shouldn't have had something so dainty and delicate so proudly on display in their home. So distracted by the decor, the once familiar smells and sounds of Number 12, he didn't notice the man in the doorway.
"I have to admit, Potter, this is quite the surprise."
James jumped, hand immediately grasping the wand on the inside of his robes, attention turning toward the man in the doorway. Dress shirt rolled up to his elbows, not quite tucked into his trousers; dark hair cut shorter than the last time James saw him. 20 years ago. He was wearing house slippers, which shouldn't have been odd, considering they were indoors and among other names James could've called him, Sirius Black was far from a barbarian, and knew better than to wear shoes around the house. But the slippers were fur lined. And James had to stop the corners of his mouth from grinning--just as they had at the pillow.
All at once, James was in his thirties again. Not his fifties.
And he was staring at Sirius Black. Tall, dark, irritating, criminal , Sirius Black. Thoughts racing, with absolutely nothing to say. Tongue swollen in his mouth.
"I could have you arrested," Sirius remarked casually, tilting his head to the side. "I believe this is what people in your line of work call trespassing, isn't it?"
"Your floo let me in," James responded, sounding much younger, and much more petulant than he intended. It was always that way around Sirius. James had thought that years as an auror would put him in a better position to deal with Sirius Black and his quick tongue. That this time he would be ready, and James would be able to respond with ease and not stare and stammer as he did in the past.
He was wrong.
"Ah, so this is just poor manners? Or did I forget the moment I invited you to my home? Did we have dinner plans?"
"Well, no but--"
"No to poor manners? Or no I didn't forget?"
James rolled his eyes up to the ceiling, "We didn't have plans, Black. I'm not here for a chat--"
"But we have so much to catch up on. It's been ages-- how's your son?"
"Cut the shit, Black. I know you were behind the burglary down in Diagon Alley."
Sirius gasped, pressing his hand to his chest, looking surprised and affronted by James's accusation, "Me? But I've been at home all day. Baking. Would you like a slice of rhubarb, Potter?" Sirius gestured with his head, turning around to walk back through the doorway and down the hall of Grimmauld Place.
James followed.
"Well, don't stand there, you can have a seat. Make yourself at home," Sirius gestured to the kitchen table. Fresh flowers in the center. James took a seat, watching as Sirius waved his wand to begin slicing a pie on the counter, all the while smirking at James with his arms folded across his chest. "Do you still take your tea with cream?"
"No!" James objected, "I mean, I do but don't offer me tea, I'm here--"
"Yes, yes, very official auror business, I remember. Just because you have poor manners and show up unannounced to people's homes--"
"I don't!"
"--doesn't mean that I do, and you're a guest in my home, so I am going to offer you tea. Do you still take it with cream?"
"Yes...thank you," James said, watching as Sirius poured two cups of tea, sending them over to the table, along with the pie before joining James.
Black still had that same damn smile. Not a grey hair in sight, though had more creases under his eyes.
"Thank you," James repeated, looking down at the pie in front of him, something clicking in his brain. "Why...why do you have this pie?"
Sirius smiled slowly. "Why not?"
"Why do you have a rhubarb pie, Black?"
"Well, since you asked. A little birdie told me you were retiring from the auror department and...I just thought I'd...prepare for the occasion. It's your favorite, isn't it?"

Crystal Grids 🩷
Crystal grids are intentional arrangements of crystals designed to help with healing, manifestation, meditation, or energy work. They work by combining the energies of crystals with sacred geometric patterns to enhance their effects.
You build a crystal grid by placing crystals on a grid board, cloth, or flat surface in a geometric pattern. Sacred patterns like the Flower of Life or Metatron’s Cube are often used because they’re believed to guide and boost the energy flow.
How to Create a Crystal Grid?
1. Set your intention:
Decide what you want the grid to help with—like attracting love, abundance, healing, or spiritual growth.
2. Choose your crystals:
Pick crystals that match your goal and work well together energetically. Look at their colors, properties, and meanings.
3. Cleanse and charge your crystals:
Before setting them up, cleanse your crystals to remove old energy. You can use sound, saltwater, or non-closed-practice methods like moonlight or visualization.
4. Create your layout:
Place your main crystal in the center—this is your “master stone.” Then, surround it with the supporting stones, following your chosen geometric pattern. Use your intuition or look up layout guides.
5. Activate the grid:
Once everything is in place, activate the grid with your intention. You can do this through meditation, visualization, affirmations, or using a wand to trace energy paths between stones.
6. Maintain the energy:
Crystal grids need care to stay effective. Recharge the stones, refresh your intention, and adjust the layout when needed.
Crystal grids are thought to create a powerful energy field by blending the forces of crystals and sacred geometry. Whether for personal growth or spiritual practice, they offer a beautiful and focused way to work with crystal energy.
