I'm thinking about older boyfriend!Ghost who spoils you with anything in every situation possible. When you ask him for something he wouldn't even reply with words. He'll just nod at you with that little slow blink he always does.

And he has that mindset of him being more experienced in life so he gets a bit overprotective whenever you do something. At first you felt intolerable at that but the more you guys spent time you just accepted it as something that's in his nature.

Arguing with him doesn't even feel like arguing sometimes since he's always soft spoken when he talks to you. But he makes sure he gets his point across (he has to he's simon riley). If he won the argument and you wanna go sulk about it he trails after you like a puppy all day. The only way he'll give up to your sulking is when he see you smile at something he said.

also kakashi says out of pocket things sometimes for the sole purpose of getting anko to laugh and iruka to blush. that what he says in this case happens to be 100% true is neither here nor there. that he can get both intended results with one sentence is just a testament to how efficient he is.

if i see a very good take about solas, like good meta, good character analysis, and something i find myself nodding along to, just for it to lead into talking about why his romance is the reason for all his growth and intrigue, and how his romance falls into all of that, i immediately click away. every single one of the ops points become moot to me.

bc why can’t we ever separate this man from romance? why can we not discuss his pitfalls and his motivations and his arc within his individuality, away from a romantic relationship? he is still the same person. he still did those things.

alternatively, meta and analysis i cannot stand that horribly mischaracterizes him, that woobifies him, that villainizes his counterparts, or are all entirely based off headcanons and not actual canon all typically have their own paragraph basing his behavior on being in a romance. as if it's not so deeply conditional.

just give me takes on him as an individual. don’t bring lavellan or even rook into it. solas. as an individual. he is just as interesting out of a romantic tie as he is inside of one. begging.

just thinking about trent having an embarrassing twitter account that's like, idk, priv and/or just like an anonymous jokey account sort of thing and it regularly tweets things like "The weighted blanket is not enough. i need a man to lay on top of me horizontally and crush me to death. lovingly." and "Just made finger guns at my crush instead of doing what I intended to do, which was apologize. Ted Lasso would never do this to me" <- everyone assumes that's a general celebrity crush/just a joke about a famously really nice guy and like, coach beard actually likes/retweets it so it goes mildly viral and trent is like. This Is Fine. most people assume that this account is run by like, a female tumblr user in her late twenties. no. this is a middle-aged single father and no one realizes this until he tweets something like "My ex-wife just set me up with a man who looks exactly like my straight crush, but worse. You know, because she's evil, and also the funniest person alive. anyway guess who i ran into on the date" or "i am a single middle-aged father and i only JUST NOW found out i have autism. My parents knew when I was three." which is then updated by "WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY EX WIFE KNEW TOO" (she thought it was kind of a given) only to confuse them again when he mentions that time he was pregnant

I don’t like altean broadsword Lance. i already disliked red paladin Lance. the broadsword was like rubbing salt in the wound. why couldn’t he have his own niche. why was his character development just making him keith. i understand that it was like “he accepts that he doesn’t have to be a leader and excels as a co-leader and you can find happiness that way yada yada yada”. but you could’ve done that without making him keith. also now give him something unique, cool, that falls in line with his sniper bit. i’m not saying just give him another gun, im saying give him something quiet and lethal. like a garotte. yeah i want garotte lance.
