Try throwing things at them! Like food! Or spears...?

Part of a fan region I've got rattling around in the head I'm tentatively calling Stormy Shores.

'Another plan that chose to self combust' thought Stormy as she served the hilarity of the scene. They were in the Forest, as one is to do some shady things when apparently one of her lighting did in fact caused a fire in the forest. Which meant one thing.

Someone informed those losers specialists.

Out of all the teams? squads? Eh boy bands they had at Red Fountain of course they send the one with him! Riven. Fml. It took about 1.56 seconds before Darcy was at his side and he was pulling her by her waist to be flush against him. 'I ate my favorite cereal to not throw it the fuck up you humping rabbits' she whined in her head and crossed her arms in reality.

"Onion boy" Icy spoke coldy to the disgusting creature.

"Mother hen" Smirked Riven and tighten his hold on his witch.

"I believe we can all come to logical and peaceful conclusion." Darcy stated. 'Someone is fucking delulu.' Stormy thought.

"I have a perfect solution my sweet sister. You break up with him and we all go our separate ways. " sneered Icy at the red onion.

"I even have better solution. You leave Darcy the fuck alone and return to Cloud Tower." he spoke daringly.

"Riven what are you doing? Are you losing your mind?!" whispered Darcy to him,he could sense her panic. Her fear for his safety. He leaned in and whispered back to her.

“When I’m with you, I forget to be afraid."

Commotion had overcome the group. Stormy was interrupted from her meal when an ear-shattering boom echoed across the forest. Her sibling jumped and covered their head in a panic. There was yelping, members rushing from around to see what happened.

It was all a bit of a blur. Sugar's den had collapsed, and everyone was crowding around her.

Sugar had been attacked, she said. The explosion was a result of her lightning magic. Questions swarmed the air. There was nothing to attack Sugar, they thought. Stormy's eyes locked on Savannah, ears pinned back and standing at attention. Sorrel was there too, a bewildered look on his face. Alpine had her small wings spread in a protective way. Seeing everyone was safe, Stormy didn't approach them. She figured she'd be told what happened one way or another.

Stormy saw Sorrel later in their mother's cave. Sorrel was close to the explosion, apparently, and had gotten covered in debris and scrapes. Sab was tending to his dirty, lightly singed fur.

Aither, Alpine, Summer, and Sugar spent the rest of the evening attempting to salvage what was left of her den. It was originally dug out of the side of a hill, but now it was just an open hole. Stormy watched with fascination as her sibling tried to lift large chunks of earth along with the adults. Part of it was humorous to her.

Stormy didn't appreciate the sudden influx of flaking dirt insulting her nose.

Eventually, all three of the siblings reunited for sleep. Stormy, already curled up, felt the brush of fur against hers. She was surrounded by the scent of fresh dirt and the light sting of burnt hair in the still air. As everyone settled, it was silent. Summer and Sorrel especially tired from their eventful day. Stormy, however, was having more trouble drifting to sleep. The usually comforting heat from her siblings wasn't so nice tonight. Her ears twitched involuntarily as small sounds rang out nearby. It seemed louder than normal. More little shuffles. More soft crunching. The air was different, but the overwhelming odor of dust overpowered anything weird. She replayed the events of the day in her mind.

The repeating thoughts eventually became fuzzy. The image fading in and out, morphing into something else. The silent voices of her family changed to the mumble of nothing.

But just as Stormy began to drift, a twinge in the air reached her whiskers. Eyes snapping open, she was startled frozen by two eyes starting back at her.

The owner was immediately evident. Orange fur still visible in the dark.

They just gazed in the silence.

...

A leap-

Scrambling.

Stormy jolted backwards as feywings tumbled-

A yowl rang out in the quiet. Her brother, she knew that voice. Her brother was flapping and thrashing in the dark, claws attached to the other feywing.

Sorrel was attacking Solar.

Summer screamed beside her, jolting Stormy into action. She didn't know why Sorrel was attacking, or why Solar was even here- but she knew she had to do something.

Suddenly, a strong jaw clamped down on her tail. Tugging her toward the scuffle and away from Summer.

"Aaugh!" Stormy flashed her teeth, twisting to reach her assaulter.

"Stormy!" Summer howled from behind them.

The grip on her tail wavered as Sorrel clawed at Solar's face. Stormy thrust her hooves into her snout, she held on.

Then they were in the open air, Solar digging into the dirt, pulling Stormy out with her. Sorrel lost his grip- falling off of the orange feywing, Solar kicked him away into the dust. Stormy dug her claws into the ground in an attempt to stay put, but the jaw pulling her grew stronger. In a moment of desperation, Stormy focused on her paws in the dirt, the grass surrounding them, and pumped a burst of magic into the earth. The grass soared upward, doubling in height, obscuring the view of Solar. In her second of surprise, Sorrel pounced once again onto her neck, clamping down with his teeth.

Solar reached forward in an attempt to hold onto Stormy, dragging her claws into Stormy's face. She held back a scream, beginning to taste blood. Stormy kicked furiously at Solar's belly.

In one last thrash, Sorrel twisted downward and the two tumbled over. Solar landed on her side, finally letting go of Stormy. She could see the crimson coating Solar's neck and back.

"Get away from them!" Growling sounded from behind. There approached Savannah with Summer in toe.

Solar whipped her head to face them, a look of disgust on her face. Sorrel bared his teeth coated with her blood. Stormy, now standing, ready to pounce, glared her down.

Solar's eyes darted from one feywing to another. She slowly got back on her paws, crouching in pain.

After a moment of silence, she jumped forward and snapped at Savannah. But she didn't account for the small trainees. Stormy slammed into Solar's side, ramming her antlers into her flesh.

A yowl burst from her mouth and she staggered backwards. But Stormy didn't let up, and began to leap forward again. Solar turned and darted away. Paws and hooves pounding the ground as Sorrel and Stormy chased her out of the base.

When the two siblings returned from the fray, they were covered in scratches and bruises.

As the sun began to rise, the group gathered in the medical den. Sab rushed to patch them up. Moving with speed to grab various supplies and apply them to the trainee's wounds.

Stormy and Sorrel recounted the events of the night, how Solar appeared and Sorrel attacked. The story didn't quite make sense to many, but others had an understanding in their gaze. Sugar especially. She looked at the siblings in admiration, as if to approve of their actions.

Later in the day, they understood why.

Sugar called the group into a meeting. Everyone gathered in a circle around her.

It was then that Sugar announced that the three siblings, Stormy, Sorrel, and Summer, were being given their official roles. They were each presented with a new stone.

The maroon gem of the hunter, to Stormy.

The pink quartz of the nester, to Summer.

And to his shock, the deep blue stone of the guardian, to Sorrel. But not just any guardian's stone, the first of the group, and the largest. He was appointed lead guardian.
